Hi folks, Wenger is unlikely to buy anyone else other than an unknown kid _ may be. It is a fact as this has happened for the last 10 years. He won't buy more than 3 players at any one window. 2 in already. Don'e keep your hope till the last day and get disappointed. Wrong but that is a fact.

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that David Ngog will not be leaving the club after his recent pre season form. However Blackpool will launch a season long loan deal for El zhar. Luke Young will not be joining Liverpool due to family reasons. So Liverpool will turn there attentions back to wayne Bridge. They are also interested in a move for Petrov from Villa once Mascherano has left the club (if Roy let's him).
By the way Ed as a fellow Liverpool fan i love this site. Just fed up with some of the dreamers who think we can compete with the likes of Chelsea and Man City in the transfer market. Kun Aguero Get real!! Liverpool will be looking to bolster there squad whilst reducing the wage bill and getting rid of Rafa's rubbish along the way. However Huntalaar would be a graet addition on a season long loan with an option to buy once the club is in more stable financial standing.

Can somebody explain to me why is there too many rumours of ozil joining utd.has he said he will join united or anything of the sort??and y do you guys think he was a childhood utd supporter, in fact he was not.i think man utd will sign ninis/defour, will mould into a player better than ozil.as far as i know there are strings of clubs including munich, chelsea, madrid, barca, arsenal, ac milan behind him.yet i'm not sure why do the guys here think he'll prefer united alone, ahead of these clubs.i aint saying it won't happen, but its bit unlikely.:)

–Southampton fc to sign Darius Vassell tommorow from Turkish side Arkanguru. Also on his way to saints in the next week is Bristol Rovers striker Chris Lines in a deal worth around £1 million. David Connolly set to be placed on transfer list.

To whoever posted the above, I'd be worried if I was a Saints fan, trying to buy a central Midfield player from Rovers and then shoving him up front.

bit more research needed I think.

No inside info from me, although looks like Luke Young is opting to go somewhere else. Fair enough, probably wants to play week–in, week–out. We should pick up Figueroa and Turan, and then a replacement for Masch when he leaves. Preferably a player with Prem experience; who do you think fits the bill best, Ed? {editor's note – so the papers say he it is Liverpool, then they find out that actually it is not Liverpool and that he is about to sign elsewhere and chenge their story to say he has opted out of a move to Liverpool to take up another offer. All that despite MON and Villa both confirming only ONE club had bid for him, and yet people still believe it! Sometimes I despair!}

Ever Banega is an obvious one, Antonio Lopez another mention but I think Javi Martinez is a name a lot of people are forgeting LFC were interested in when Benitez was around. Young and a highly technical player. also a DM option in replacement for Macherano should he go. Currently playing for Athletic Bilbao.

RE: Below comments. If, and it's a big if, Vassell signs he would probably not be deployed as an out and out striker but as an attacking midfielder or winger.

Southampton fc to sign Darius Vassell tommorow from Turkish side Arkanguru. Also on his way to saints in the next week is Bristol Rovers striker Chris Lines in a deal worth around £1 million. David Connolly set to be placed on transfer list.
_

Why would Connolly be placed on the transfer list, when he was only given a new deal a few weeks ago?
And when Alan Pardew says he needs ANOTHER striker, to go with the 3 we already have.
Please explain your reasoning.

Let just get something straight here. Just because the Torres rumours are starting quieten down, why now does everyone suddenly turn their attention to start gossiping about another random Liverpool player?

Alberto Aqualani is going knowhere, he's managed to learn english pretty well, and Hodgson knows how to man manage italian players.

This is a rumours pagenot a fictional one.

Genuine rumours only please.

PS Aquilani didn't have a great game(in some peoples opions) because he got a knock last week in the friendly game. – Keep up the good work ed.

Once the Balotelli to Man City transfer goes through. Inter will get Masch and Kuyt for 30 mil with Sulley Muntari going back to Liverpool

Being a liverpool fan all of my life i cannot seem to recall Sulley Muntari ever playing for us. He signed for inter from portsmouth. I can only think that you were thinking of Mohamed Sissoko who we sold to Juventus.

Also expect Liverpool to announce the signing of Huntelaar very soon with Dirk Kuyt going the other way.

Rangers FC

Goodwillie, is a no go, not good enough for Champions League.
Gattuso, maybe next year once his contract expires.

INS

Benalouane (CB), St Ettienne, Bougherra's replacement.
Or
Khumalo(CB), South African impressive in world cup.

Eagles(RW), Re–negotiations, Smiths first choice.

Jelavic(ST), Unlikely, Champ League cup tied.
or
Mphela(ST), South African, would do well in SPL.

Expect Smith to pay Sir Alex Ferguson a vist after both tours are finished, one or to loanings(e.g Macheda) to gain Champions league experience.

The last person to leave Rangers this Summer will be Bougherra if a high offer is put on the table (over 7 mill). Kenny Miller is not going anywhere as his shin splints make him Unsellable.

Some players are interested in Rangers Peter Lovenkrands, Lee Miller and Jonothan Utaka, unlikely to happen but worth a shout.

craigRTID

Jelavic is only cup tied if Rapid get to the Europa group stages. I don't think they will, looking at the teams in the play off round. Fact.
Apart from that i hope your right about the rest.

The Knowledge suggested at 29 Jul 2010 23:25:02:

"Liverpool are set to play hardball over the transfer of Javier Mascherano. Inter Milan are well publicised suiters and are set to make an offer, once Mario Ballotelli has been sold to Manchester City."

If Inter make a bid it will not be related to the sale of Ballotelli.

"Ballotelli fee is rumoured in the region of 45 million, this including signing on fee, bonuses, agent fee's etc."

This seems to be much higher than expected. At that price he will not be sold.

"Benitez is expecting to get Mascherano for in the region of 20 – 25 million but liverpool are set to hold out for altleast 35 million due to the hype around the transfer."

It is nothing to do with Benitez. He will identify players only and has no involvement in the financial aspects nor negotiations.

"A win win situation for Roy Hodgson. If Inter Milan refuse to stump up such a fee for the Argentinian captain, arguably the best holding midfielder in the world. Then Manager Roy Hodgson will explain that if a relatively unproven, tempremental striker can fetch 45 Million then a seasoned, world class, leader of a country can fetch 35Million."

You cannot equate players in that way. Hodgson would make Liverpool a laughing stock if he went down that road.

"Liverpool will then either cash in and make a tidy profit, or will keep Javier and force him to honour his contract. Afterall a transfer request is only a request afterall."

It rather depends if they wish to be stuck with a player who does not want to play for them or if they wish to clear the decks and move on. I would suggest the latter.

Sharkey.

Heard a whisper that rangers have got a bit more to spend than they are making out. One of the reasons that Walter decided to stay. Apparently their are those at the bank who realise that the sale of the club is the best way for them to recuperate some of their money. And have decided on a limited spend in order to improve the clubs stock and make it more attractive to potential investors. Also one of the African players agent revealed that it was David Murray who was conducting negotiations. Apparently his wider business empire has been showing signs of an upturn and he also is becoming more involved. They also know that if Celtic crash and burn they are in serious difficulty as the board have pushed the boat out for the last two managers without any cl income. The tables financially could turn very quickly especially if rangers attract a buyer.

I have just been informed that Roy Hodgson is willing to listen to offers for Liverpool trio Alberto Aquilani, Martin Skrtel and Dirk Kuyt although neither of them wishes to leave the club.

Hodgson is trying to find buyers for Phillip Degan, Damien Pleissis, Nabil El Zhar, Kristian Nemeth and Charles Itanje. He wants the 5 off his books in order for more funds and for the deals to be completed before the end of this transfer window.

And a less reliable source tells me that Hodgson will make a move for either Spurs midfielder Tom Huddlestone, West hams Scott Parker or Aston Villa's Stylian Petrov and potentiallly a shock move for Jermaine Jenas.

Not saying these deals are definitely going to happen, I'm just informing you what i have been told!!
