Barnsley manager David Flitcroft has today revealed in his press conference that he is keen on adding up to five players, including Sheffield Wednesday forward Chris O'Grady and Stoke midfielder Rory Delap.
Flitcroft is also rumoured to be keen on a defender and two strikers on top of O'Grady and Delap.
'Flicker' is looking towards a top six place and is wanting to sign Huddersfield defender Joel Lynch. The 25 year old has been a bit part player at Galpharm this last campaign and the former Brighton player may be looking for a switch. It is thought Town boss Mark Robins wants around £300,000 - £350,000 for the player.
The first of the two strikers is Rory Loy. Loy has a injury hit season with Carlisle last year and left with his contract up. Loy can also play on the left wing and has attracted interest from a lot of Championship clubs. The 25 year old former Dunfermline loanee has been invited for a pre season trip to Spain with the South Yorkshire club.
The second attacker is someone Flitcroft is shelling out for. Swansea have recieved an undisclosed offer for the former Bristol City hitman and are expected to use some of the John Stones money to hit the asking price.

But you must face facts. bottom 3/4/5. sign who ever you want.

Ex dunfermline and hamilton players mark kerr and jim macallister on trial with Carlisle united

Have thought all along that it should be Dundee who take the "Club 12 " slot as this rewards a team for finishing high up a league rather than one who finished bottom.....However! Dunfermline are quite right to state their has been no previous precedent and in recent seasons, clubs have simply avoided relegation, Aberdeen a couple of years back, rather than the 2nd place club being promoted so.....with sporting integrity all the rage, it should be Dunfermline's place in the SPL.

If Dunfermline stay in the SPL next season then they're looking to sign both Pablo Mills and Jonathan Tehoue in order to make sure that last season's mistakes aren't repeated.

They're not the only team looking at Mills, though, with Forest Green hoping to follow in the footsteps of Crawley and Fleetwood by spending their way into the football league.

Dundee Utd manager planning a deadline day swoop for former player Stuart Duff who is available following a spell in Malta.

Houstie is also monitoring the form of another former player, Mark Kerr. Utd however are not the only team keeping an eye on Kerr with Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels also keen. This won't happen until May as Kerr has penned a short term deal with Dunfermline.

Another player on the Tannadice radar is former Aberdeen centre back, Zander Diamond, currently at Oldham. He is seen as a replacement for the departing Gary Kenneth. Again this would not happen until the summer.

stoke thinking of puting a bid in for celtics james forrest. All depending if the hoilett deal from blackburn goes through.

Are stoke actually thinking about starting to play football like?!

They'll probably ba able to pick him up on the cheap same as hooper, whats the bid? £20 and a lifetimes subscription to the Oatcake fanzine?

Lennon has said that our top players are not for sale, Forrest has the potential to be as good if not better than McGeady and is vital to the way Celtic play. Spurs were told 10 million earlier this season and he has become even more important since then.

Celtic are the biggest team in the world why would anyone want to give up the opertunity of playing Dunfermline 4 times a season.

Dunfermline play more entertaining football than Stoke!

Who the f*** are Dunfermline?

"JAMES Forrest has been identified by FIFA as one of the most exciting young players in football who could be one of the stars of 2012.

Forrest, a product of the Celtic Youth Academy, has established himself as an integral part of Neil Lennon?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s first-team squad since making his debut against Motherwell on May 1, 2010."

his value has just doubled i'd say

Man utd , barcelona and blackpool are the best and most supported teams in the world! celtic ! forrest , mcgeady are f***nig rubbish ,wouldnt make the 2nd team at rochdale. tin pot celtic , with your tin pot cups ,with your tin pot manager , with your tin pot fans, with your tin pot league.
why dont you do what cardiff and swansea did , join a mans proper league proper money , proper fans , proper gates, proper fixtures .
but you wont cause its to competative and mickey mouse , tin pot football is all you know!

maximus

Blackpool tin pot mentality going after ex Celtic guys that never cut it like Derek Riordan.Who played in a friendly for you.And you have Crainey who never cut Celtic.Bob Harris who you got our first division who was at QOS.Gilkes the Scotland number 3,Barry Ferguson,Scott Wilson.Set to take Fleck on loan.Shelvey and Phillips might be in Scotland squad to for Slovenia game. And Husband who was with Hearts. You could almost play a full team off Scots there. And yet you still have a problem with us.It wont be that if you go up through the paly offs again, you hypocrite. You will still cheer them, like the loser that you are.A.M

Ha ha ha , love crainey , ferguson, wilson and all blackpool scottish born lads.

Dunfermline have signed former Aberdeen captain on a 4 year deal from Greek outfit Asteras Tripolis for a fee of £12,000

HA HA what a waste of a shirt

I take it that you mean Mark Kerr? He's a decent player who runs aboout a lot but has yet to master the three foot pass. Seriously, his passing is abysmal.... but he tries like f**k, to be fair.

Hearts are hopeful of signing Grant Holt, Derek Riordan and Kris Boyd. Zaliukas will be sold to Dunfermline for 3m.

Grant holt lol he would never go plus why go to the spl when Newcastle & Sunderland have been watching him. He will stay at Norwich so get your head out of the clouds

Utter garbage

Hearts are trying to move on players.
Nobody will be signed by the club.

I can confirm these rumours except the fee that Dunfermline are willing to pay for Zaliukas is closer to £5m

Crawley boss Steve Evans, is set to lose three players over the January transfer window, as he looks to produce spaces for new signatures coming into the club.
Struggling League 2 rivals Northampton Town, are very close to signing Scott Davies on loan until the end of the season, where a permanent contract could be handed if the Irishman impresses.
Davies could be followed to Sixfield by teammate Jamie Day. The former Peterbrough midfielder is keen on a new challenge and will sign for Town on a free transfer for two and a half years.
The third player set to leave is Willie Gibson. Gibson has impressed on loan at St Johnstone in the Scottish Premier League and his current deal runs out in the next few weeks. Championship side Millwall, are keen on signing the former Dunfermline and Kilmarnock player as Kenny Jackett is keen to recruit.

18 Dec 2011 12:15:57
Apparently partick thistle defender paul Paton will sign for either dunfermline or Inverness ct on a pre contract. His agent said 4 sfl1 teams are chasing him. Wouldn't mind him at hibs!

Billy Mehmet is to be offered a contract at Notts County after a successful trial at the club.
The former West Ham United striker had a fantastic time at Dunfermline Athletic scoring 39 goals and then most recently he was at Samsunspor where he scored 2 goals for the Turkish club in only 9 appearances.
He played in County's last pre-season friendly against Maidenhead. He was given the number 18 shirt for the match. He created alot of chances and hit the bar which would of completed a fantastic bit of play from Notts.
The 6ft 2' front man will hopefully sign for the club before they kick off for the start of the season against Carlisle on Saturday the 6th of August 2011.

He was at St Mirren not Dunfermline. They play in the same colours right enough.Mehmet is better singing for a SPL club.If he ever wants to play for Ireland.Aberdeen could use a new striker.
