Rotherham have offered contracts to Marlon Pack of Cheltenham and Sean Colhessy of Southend. They are also preparing a bid for Falkirk striker Lyle Taylor. They have enquired about free agent Jay Simpson (released by Hull) but his wage demands are too high. Former Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon was on the millers' radar too but persistent knee injuries mean he's likely to sign for Dumbarton as player/coach as he cannot play first team football on a regular basis. Steve Evans will also try to take Arsenal forward Sanchez Watt and Czech winger Martin Zemen on loan.

How many more times do you people have to be told Sanchez-Watt is being released by Arsenal. Who you going to loan him from?

17 May 2013 13:10:07
Preston are in talks to sign 24 year old Scottish midfielder Scott Arfield. The former Falkirk and Huddersfield player is wanting first team football and sees that will happen at Deepdale.

16 May 2013 17:55:23
Rotherham have had a 100k bid rejected for Lyle Taylor of Falkirk and are going to return with a 150k bid

15 May 2013 14:17:06
Steve Evans has ruled out signing Billy Mckay of Inverness, Ashley Vincent of Port Vale and Scott Flinders of Hartlepool. Seems how Evans admitted he was in Scotland watching a striker a few weeks ago, this strengthens the rumour that Rotherham are set to bid 150k for Falkirk striker Lyle Taylor like I posted a few days ago. I have also heard as alternatives to taylor, Evans is interested in Peterborough striker Tyrone Barnett, Lee Novak of Huddersfield and Jamie Vardy of Leicester although all the above strikers want to remain in the championship so deals are unlikely.

Evans wants Tyrone Barnett but its whether Tyrone wants to go and his wage demands. Good luck if you get him, he's the biggest/useless donkey ever seen at Posh.

Peterborough aren't in The Championship. As for Lee Novak, could quite possibly happen as he has stalled on a new contract offer from the club for a while. Can't see Vardy going so far when a number of Championship clubs would no doubt give him a chance

Barnett was'nt useless when he played for Steve Evans before hence why Peterborough must have bought him

tyketti

Barnett is a good player. He would be a good signing and many Posh so called 'fans' doubt his ability. Good in the air, pacey (when fit) and has a good eye for goal.

In all fairness to anyone who saw the pre-Posh Barnett you may say he WAS good, Posh paid over a million based on heading ability of which he showed none at Posh, laziest player ever to pull on a blue shirt and his attitude stinks, if you still rate him then please take him because his performances when he had a chance were of non league standard last season

Barnett as I said is a donkey and was totally out of his depth in the championship, but he may do well in Div 1 or 2 as that's his level.

And in fairness to Barnett (God knows why anyone would want to be), I thought he was effective in the air at Posh. just those few times he could bother himself to jump.

He was great in the air, sometimes I don't think some 'fans' even watch the games? Remember his goals at the end of last season? He scored on the pitch in his first game after being on the pitch for a minute!

If Wells were to leave Bradfrd in the summer he will be replaced with Sinclair (P'boro) or Taylor (Falkirk)

Id drive sinclair to bradford for you

Duncan Watmore - Altrincham - 100-250k
Ryan Burge - free
Alex Pritchard - Tottenham - loan
Florent Cuvelier - Stoke - loan
Ryan Fredericks - Tottenham - loan

Your out going players, you won't get all that for them, maybe £5 for the lot if yer lucky!

Ajose won't go on a free, he cost us too much, and forest would never have Barnett, he ent good enuff. plus tommy rowe's our captain he ent going nowhere

Id be disgusted if we EVER sold anyone to Forest. and bloody hell we should aim higher than an altringham player. plus can't see us getting cuvelier back he only featured once for us

Values for outgoing players imo not quite right and we won't sign all them players either

Doubt we'll be getting Cuvelier back, poor lad didn't even really get a chance in the team.

Boyd int going hull for free, hull agreed a 1.5 million bid for him haha, another false one!

17 May 2013 22:12:33
Jack Payne not going to peterborough. Deal now off and he's reporting back for pre season with Gill's where he will remain unless a championship club comes in for him

Payne to posh!

14 May 2013 14:46:27
Steve Evans watched 3 strikers in his recent trip to Scotland. The Rotherham manager is interested in Lyle Taylor of Falkirk, Leigh Griffiths of Hibernian and Billy McKay of Inverness. Griffiths wants to with stay at hibs or return to parent club wolves so that deal is unlikely but the other 2 have a good chance of happening. Peterbrough are also interested in Lyle Taylor while Billy Mckay is attracting interest from Preston and Sheffield United too.

I'd take both McKay and taylor keep away from Griffiths he sounds trouble

14 May 2013 13:29:28
Rotherham wanting to sign Lyle taylor from Falkirk scored 29 goals last season and got Scottish 1st divison player of the season

14 May 2013 12:38:24
Once the current transfer embargo is lifted, Coventry City Manager Steven Pressley will make moves for Aaron Martin (Southampton, loan), Scott Wootton (Man Utd, loan), Stewart Murdoch (Falkirk, nominal), Chuks Aneke (Arsenal, loan), Thomas Eisfeld (Arsenal, loan), Jaques Maghoma (Burton Albion, free), Scott Wagstaff (Charlton, free) and Lyle Taylor (Falkirk, nominal). Not all of these will sign of course, but they are serious targets.

Leaving will be Nathan Cameron (Northampton, free), Cody McDonald (Gillingham, 200k), Gary McSheffrey (free transfer), Chris Dunn (Dagenham & Redbridge, free), Stephen Elliott (MK Dons, free), Callum Ball (Derby, loan return), Danny Philliskirk (free transfer), Shaun Jeffers (free transfer), Richard Wood (Barnsley, free), Jordan Stewart (free transfer), James Bailey (Derby, loan return).

14 May 2013 16:52:15
They say cortese may be on his way. Great I could never believe how Adkins was treated. Let's have a manager who can speak English and here for the long term, Take away one win this season we would be right in it.

Aaron Martin is apparently already set to join Swindon Town for next season.

Would love to see Aneke here but can't see him coming, Lyle Is a possibility link up with his former manager. Hope so anyway

Typical coventry mass exodus and no cash coming in. Jeffers will be premiership he has bags of potential. As Daniel sturridge did before he was released. I am not happy with the appointment of pressley. And fear for the future of my club. Please haskell come in now and save my beloved skyblues.

Get real Mr Cortese has save Saints and set them on the right path to the top.
Saint Ter

Ridiculous comment about Cortese above. No one was sadder than me when Adkins went but the team have improved under Pochettino and you have to credit Cortese with that. A win aghast Stoke and we'll finish comfortably mid table. What has his language skills got to do with anything? Results are what count. People like yourself embarrass our club with comments like that!

Do not want Wood at BARNSLEY, NOT GOOD ENOUGH

If true chuke aneke is quality in the mould of chalobah at watford

16 May 2013 16:30:14
Don't forget cortese was spending the owners money as for the style of football the fitness of the players has been good but playing high line football if the present manager stays we will get caught on the break, teams will soon learn to play against it. Look at the way Chelsea played against benfica

16 May 2013 18:10:12
If cortese and the manager are thinking of leaving you have to think how loyal are they to the club. You could spend millions and still not do well. Look at the conference league 12 teams who have been in the football league. Every Few years a group of player make it good. The most important thing is to hold onto Luke shaw clyne ect.

17 May 2013 09:52:00
Let's not have another soap opera at st Mary's make your mind up cortese and stay or go the club will live on. If they increase the season tickets like last year they will lose me after years of support, could be eastleighs gain.

Wootton was on loan at Forest this season and had an excellent season (by all accounts) in the championship so why on earth would he spend next season in League 1. You are wildly off the mark on so many of these. or perhaps you are confusing the real world with championship manager?

13 May 2013 19:00:58
Weatherson released by Falkirk!

Jackbairn

Coventry interested in signing Stewart Murdoch from Falkirk who is out of contract

Does not score enough goals so let's hope this is not true.

12 May 2013 17:35:42
Free scoring striker Lyle Taylor attracting interested from Coventry City. He plays for Falkirk in the first division.

Lyle stop spreading rumours mate. afcb si.

24 goals from 34 games is a good return let's hope he is out of contract. as. We. Cannot. Afford to buy anyone just yet.

12 May 2013 17:20:17
Middlesbrough have made an enquiry to Falkirk for there striker Lyle Taylor. boro scouts have been watching the Staines born striker since Christmas time and have been massivly impressed. he has an impressive strike rate and finished up with 24 goals in Scottish division 2 last season it's reported a bid of between 200-300K may be enough to get his signiture

Blah bla bla. Just because he bagged a hatrick against us in pre-season doesn't mean we're signing him mate

12 May 2013 15:03:45
Presley interested in signing out of contract Stewart Murdoch from old club Falkirk.

12 May 2013 13:22:56
Derby County interested in Scotland under 19 international midfielder Jay Fulton from Falkirk who is 19.

08 May 2013 22:35:41
My young lad plays for the Falkirk academy well what a sham there will no longer be one after this season they got told tonight. They are going to be merging with stenhousemuir and east Stirling to form a forth valley select academy. Falkirk have no money like many other clubs the academy will be run by the sfa they will alson bin 200 kids wher do they kids go now yes no where Falkirk have sold many kids down the river. Scottish football is finished yes finnished end off {Ed003's Note - Whats happened exactly? }

07 May 2013 15:30:44
Exeter City ins and outs

Outs

Paul Tisdale
Cureton-Bristol Rovers
Oakley-Cambridge United
Gow-Falkirk

In

Paul Sturrock
Wotton - Plymouth
Hyde - Barnet
leven - Oxford

Paul Sturrock and Paul Wotton, you have to be joking? They wouldn't never join, especially Wotton, the man has green blood!

07 May 2013 19:14:25
Cant see leven moving to exeter to far to travel 1of reasons he joined oxford

No chance of sturrock ever managing Exeter and with wotton signing ha ha not in a million years

07 May 2013 20:20:50
Leven won't go to Exeter. He rejected championship clubs to join OUFC. as he didn't want to move from his Milton Keynes home with his young family. And if Exeter are getting rid of the more senior players because they can't afford them. They have no chance affording Leven. He was on more than all of them

Wotton would never leave Argyle for Exeter

07 May 2013 20:51:47
Leven is on huge wages, too big for Oxford, let alone Exeter!

Oh dear every year cureton is linked with us and he never comes, getting old now

Bristol Rovers are in for Leven, watch this space.

Wotton would never go he just signed a contract and leven and hyde are supposibly coming to argyle

Bye Bye Exeter's league status if true : (

08 May 2013 17:51:17
Lol maybe bristol city unless he's trying out for the rugby

02 May 2013 09:09:59
Once Coventry City come out of Administration they will sign Aaron Martin (Southampton), Jean-Yves Mvoto (Oldham), Jacques Maghoma (Burton), Gareth Evans (Fleetwood), Carlvin Zola (Burton) and Lyle Taylor (Falkirk).

Again MVOTO won;t go to COventry, you don;t even know his personal life like we do at Oldham and he won;t move to Coventry as you can;t even pay rent on time.

If oldham can't keep m'voto it will be to championship or back to france

26 Apr 2013 01:20:27
Oldham manager keen on trio.
Falkirk striker Lyle taylor, Queen of the souths Nicky clark & Gavin reilly are on the league 1 clubs radar.

Nicholas Clarke banged two more goals in on Sat. That's 38 goals this season now! Hope LJ really is looking at him and the player himself wants to play for us! 23 too!

05 Apr 2013 12:58:56
Coventry City are certain to have their points deduction upheld, so Manager Steven Pressley will have the summer to plan for an assault on promotion from League One. He will have a very small budget, so will look to promote a few youth players to play a more prominent role in the first team (Jordan Willis, Ryan Haynes, Callum Wilson, Leon Lobjoit to name a few), as well as bringing in couple of more senior players. He is interested in bringing Aaron Martin back in on a season long loan, as well as completing the permanent signing of on loan Derby County midfielder, James Bailey. Jacques Maghoma (Burton Albion), Lyle Taylor (Falkirk) and a few young, Premiership loanees (a central defender, a winger and a striker) are on Pressley's radar.

Due to the financial fair play rules, a couple of higher earning players will be moved on, as will some fringe players, making rooms for some fresh talent.

Outs - Nathan Cameron (out of contract), Kevin Malaga (free transfer), David Bell, Cody McDonald, Gary McSheffrey (out of contract), Stephen Elliott (out of contract), Callum Ball (loan return), Richard Wood (out of contract) and Jordan Stewart (out of contract).

Lastly, the Preston Haskell takeover WILL go through, just not as quickly as fans will be hoping.

David Bell and Cody McDonald are not out of contract in the summer

Sadly Sisu won't leave

09 Mar 2013 22:25:22

30 Jan 2013 16:41:48
Huddersfield poised to appoint ex Falkirk manager Pressley as new manager. Risky strategy and not fans choice but will be named on Thursday or Friday morning. #M

No offence, but I don't think this will be true, I know he's just become the favourite under , but he is under pressure at Falkirk too.

I don't think that Pressley will be going anywhere.Huddersfield more likely to go for experience this time around

I really hope this is not true. Adkins or Di Matteo please and nothing less

Huddersfield's CEO has just said tonight before the Palace match that they've only just started talking to people on the shortlist, so this certainly isn't true

Oh no he wont, from a reliable source, asst manager of a scottish team who used to play with him

No Chance after watching tonights game Mark Lillis is defo up for the fight passion, guts everything you want in a Huddersfield Town Manager. Players put a shift in tonight

Forget all the other candidates.MARK LILLIS till the end of the season, and take it from there.

Your all talking rubbish, confirmed tonight, 70 people have applied for post with many suprisising and interesting results! All chosen candidates interviewed apart from one, decision will be made after last interview. Info from tonight's game.
Everyone can guess who the last person is from the speculation but it does not will get the job, the best candidate at interview will get the position and who fits in with towns future plans/asperations!

Forget paper criteria and aspirations, of the club.Mark Lillis proved against palace that he's a tactition and a motivator who can win games. Those qualilties have been missing at this club since Warnock left. You can pick a manager to sell cards with a paper criteria list, but this is a football club.Lillis has everything needed to take this club forward, the rest of the candidates
are a an expensive gamble we can't afford to take.

Over 150 applied for the post

Lillis gets the job then my season ticket will be sent back, clueless why put Becks on when 2 mins are left, should have put the lump of lard Alan Lee if just for this short space of time, has its about his limit of running ability time, bit of luck he will get a few more games rest and a long ban, we need two strikers, winger, enough holding players in midfield, need the one if they don't play the diamond then one with a bit of pace from deep

Well said above me pal, we could post ours in the same envelope, take it your also not one of these blinkered Novak fans, who can`t see past him? These other folks would have us believe Novak and Lee would be a top combo to keep us up with Lillis steering the sinking ship!

Ha ha good post mate, a lot of them would want a joint management lillis and Jackson

27 Jan 2013 20:33:59
Stephen Pressley of Falkirk to be named Huddersfield manager this week.

Reckon Elvis Pressleys got more chance :-)

Dean Hoyle could not afford to appoint anyone other than a proven championship/ premiership manager. The fans have been disillusioned by recent form and need a big name to get them back into their seats on a match day. Dean cannot afford such a risk.

Would prefer to wait for the right man given the experience with Grayson. I would imagine Hoyle has had a shortlist for quite a while anyway but it depends who is available.
We definitely can't be another guinea pig for an "up and coming" manager. First thing they need to do is stop the goals going in, defense first its patently obvious.

28 Jan 2013 13:37:09
Atkins all the way deano.listen to the fans .
Or jacko till end of season .don't want coyle .or parkinson .

Pressley in talks with Dundee Utd about their managers post.
Big name managers command big salaries and don't always bring success.
We could do with signing a manager on a one year rolling contract....not sure what calibre of manager we would get though.
No big contracts means no big pay out should it go wrong. If a manager wants to come bad enough to our club, then they will come whatever the length of contract offered

I disagree Problem has always been the
mid field and playing two out and out wide men we only conceded a late goal
against Leicester by a superb striker we
tried to sign things will improve have Faith.

He's lined up for warlocks job

Lets give Lillis 5 games at least, he's Town through to the bone. He'll sift out any names not committed to the club...

This is not league one football, yes we need commitment and motivation, but in the Championship we need an astute tactician also. We need this now, if we wait 5 games it could be too late!

Yeah, its the championship, giving lillis 5 games? Don`t be stupid, a proven man needed badly before we are in bottom 4.

07 Jan 2013 16:19:14

05 Jul 2012 14:15:20
Palace are set to sign Falkirks' Kieran Duffie. Deals are also looking to be tied up with Ross McCormack and Keith Tracey.

No they're not, mccormack not spoken to anyone

McCormack is the only deal you have got right. The other 2 deals dougie has lined up are an Aussie centre half and a Fruity defender from France

Why would mccormack join palace when he plays for the biggest club outside the prem already

30 Jan 2012 20:41:32
I wouldn't swap Brightons C Mackail Smith for Charlotte Church let alone Simon Church! Lewis Dunk is not going this window but defo next as we will get Wallace from Falkirk at the end of the season. Livermore deal is a cert! Selhurst watch out!

I wouldn't let someone pay me to take church (reading fan)

Wallace is signing for Ipswitch they were talking about it on radio Scotland tonight. He will join up with Ryan Stevenston who they signed yesterday.Ally

16 Jan 2012 20:22:40
Hearing a rumour amongst some gers fans based in falkirk that McCoist has contacted Steven Pressley about his striker Farid El-Allagui after losing out on sandaza. Not sure the truth to it is 100% but does make alot of sense as he's out of contract at end of season and McCoist badly needs a striker.

If anyone knows any better, put it up!

13 Nov 2011 16:45:46
Burnley are set to sell Andr?ɬ© Amougou to Rangers for around £1.8m. Howe stated Andr?ɬ© Amougou is a lazy football player and plays without passion. Howe said to the Burnley Express he wants to sign two experienced defenders in January and he has his targets. The Burnley Express understands that one target is 22 year old Ryan Bertrand from Chelsea on a full time deal. Dean Marney will also be offloaded in January, there are 3 clubs monitoring him. The three teams are Huddersfield, Blackpool and Falkirk. Bournemouth goalkeeper Shwan Jalal will sign for Burnley for £750.000 also in January.
