17 May 2016 21:00:31
No chance of signing Robinson, surely Grayson has realised he's useless.

25 Apr 2016 12:57:40
Looks like there could be a few players leaving Preston in the summer the likes of Kilkenny, brownhill, Welsh and the loans return to there clubs, but that means that there will be a lot of new faces joining Preston a goal keeper either linegaard or Sam Johnstone a centre back and right back there be a couple of wingers and a centre forward.

29 Apr 2016 11:12:06
will not be loads of players coming in, but we desperately need 2 goalkeepers, a centre half, quality midfielder and a striker, unfortunately think we will get 3 free transfers who are no better than what we have.

04 May 2016 10:26:18
Grayson as got his his list of players he wants how many he gets is down to players released and all loans returned, he said last week in a interview that we may get players players from burnley or Brighton or borough.

11 May 2016 15:00:28

AFC Wimbledon have made a bid to sign Wrexham attacking midfielder Dominic Vose. Wimbledon have lacked a goalscoring central midfielder this season, and Neal Ardley has identified London-born Vose, who has already got into double figures for the Conference side, as the man to provide that extra attacking edge. Newport County and Cheltenham Town have also made offers for the player, but he may prefer a move back to London.

Peterborough United have had a bid for Wimbledon midfielder Jake Reeves rejected. Reeves has been integral to the Dons this season and his high energy performances have attracted a host of admirers. The Dons may look to cash in on the midfielder, as his contract expires at the end of the season.

Wimbledon have made an offer for Bristol City centre back Adam El-Abd. The former Egypt international helped Bury climb out of League Two last season. He was on loan there from the Robins, where he started last season but fell out of favour. Ironically he played his final game for City against the Dons in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy. This season he was loaned out to Swindon Town where he has recently returned from and has said he will not return. The Dons hope that they can secure El-Abd for a small fee, but will face competition from a host of League One and League Two clubs, including Bury, Leyton Orient, Rochdale and Shrewsbury Town.

The Dons are also considering boosting their options in defence with the loan signing of either giant centre back Cameron Burgess from Fulham, or marauding full back Nico Yennaris from Brentford.

Wimbledon will let George Oakley and Ben Harrison leave in the next two weeks. Oakley has had injury problems, and hopes to put those behind him with a move to Aldershot. Initially on loan, with an option to sign permanently in the summer.
Harrison broke into the Dons' starting eleven last season, but has found himself confined to the development squad, with little opportunity to even sit on the bench. Harrison has asked to be allowed a short term loan spell, and a move to Sutton United should be completed very soon.

After scoring both goals in Wimbledon's FA Youth Cup win away at Newcastle United, Alfie Egan has attracted the attention of Tottenham, Southampton and one of Wimbledon's potential opponents in the next round, Chelsea.

Fulham have made a bid for Egan's under-18 teammate Will Mannion. The 17-year-old is a tall goalkeeper who is being watched by England youth team selectors, and will join an England goalkeeper training camp next week. Mannion has travelled with the Dons first team squad for several games this season, but has failed to make the bench. The young keeper has expressed his desire to stay with the Dons, and is enjoying being part of their historic Youth Cup run, but his outstanding displays have caught the attention of a whole host of Premier League sides' scouts.

Could be a lot of transfers happening at Preston, looks like will Keane and Jordan Pickford to return to Utd and Sunderland and asm johnstone will rejoin Preston on a permanent deal Preston will also look to sign another striker, centre midfield and a right winger McCarthy could could return to Preston from crystal palace.

06 Sep 2015 04:51:47
Non League striker Shaquille Hippolyte-Patrick is to trial with Blackpool FC this week.

The former England U18 striker is currently with Sutton United and has been previously looked at by Ross County, Queen of the South and St. Johnstone.

For those asking about my sources, my name is Mark Cooper and I am close to people at various non-league clubs in Hampshire and Surrey who have all witnessed scouts from Blackpool FC at games during pre-season and now at the start of this season.

17 Jun 2015 18:45:16

16 Jun 2015 21:11:35
no chance of henriquez as for jonstone i'm not sure.

19 Jun 2015 13:46:55
At best your rumour appears to be running a little late, quite appropriate really for a team that wears the logo of Virgin Trains on its shirts.

16 Jun 2015 01:20:47
Bristol City possible signings:

GK. Wes Foderingham- Swindle town, 200k (out of contract but will have to battle for him)

LM/ST. Jamie murphy- Sheffield United, 700k (a key player at Sheffield United)

ST. Will grigg- Brentford, 1 million/loan to buy (will have to battle for him)

ST. Matt Smith- Fullham, 800k/loan to buy (a fan favourite at Bristol City, this might persuade him)

GK. Sam Johnstone- Manchester United, loan (good season with Preston)

RWB. Nathan Byrne- Swindle town, 400k (out of contract next year but will have to battle for him)

GK. Lee camp- Bournemouth, 200k (wants game time)

LM. Ross Wallace- Burnley, Free (high wage)

GK. Brian Murphy- QPR, Free (high wage and will have to battle for him)

CM. Darren Ambrose- Ipswich Town, Free (quality signing but is easily injured)

ST. Simon Church- Charlton athletic, Free quality signing but will have to battle for him)

CM. Rudolf Austin- Leeds United, Free (high wage and will have to battle for him)

16 Jun 2015 08:23:27
You will definately not be signing Murphy and Foderingham is coming to us as well, so stop dreaming.

16 Jun 2015 10:49:05
Simon church may be a free signing but that's the only thing that's correct. He is not quality he is clueless. Yes he runs around but has no end product and my four year old daughter could score more goals in a season. League 2 level at best in my opinion

16 Jun 2015 11:48:54
I don't think murphy is a dream player more of a backup keeper to compete with fielding. And Foderingham wants to leave swindle. It's realistic and a possibility

16 Jun 2015 11:50:53
You're right we won't be signing both of couse. Common sense mate

16 Jun 2015 12:42:00
You won't get Johnstone. He's heading pack to PNE.

16 Jun 2015 14:49:25
Murphy is a Left Winger so why would he be in goal, plus he is settled in Sheffield, so actually create sensible rumours rather than being stupid and dreaming?

16 Jun 2015 15:27:39
Murphy is a keeper for qpr

16 Jun 2015 16:11:03
Jamie murphy is deemed to be a league 1 class player and i'd supposedly a "dream player" really? Also there ithis more than one footballer that has the name murphy as a surname.

16 Jun 2015 17:12:51
Still would never leave

29 Jun 2015 12:56:30
Bit late but have to say paying £200k for Foderingham 15 days after he was given a free transfer is a great rumour! Also, think we'd probably give Camp a free transfer (good 'keeper but we have two better ones and some back up) but if you want to give us £200k too up to you!

07 Jun 2015 19:03:54
Preston have agreed a two year deal with beckford, Utd have changed there mind over selling Sam Johnstone to preston now and will send him back on a season long loan .gallager is expected to sign a two year deal .preston will sign at least another four maybe five new players

15 Jan 2015 02:26:07
St Johnstone midfielder Gary McDonald is set to join former club Oldham Athletic on loan until the end of the season with Oldham winger James Dayton moving on loan in the opposite direction.

13 Jan 2015 09:59:04
Looks like Aldershot Town striker Brett Williams is off north of the border with St Mirren and St Johnstone keen to take the hitman.

Troy Deeney of Watford on WBA radara.

Gosport Boro striker Matt Paterson being courted by Portsmouth, Oxford, Swindon and now Crawley.

Andy Johnson will snub Wycombe and sign for Luton.

And finally, Rotherham's Fabian Brandy will sign for Rochdale.

quick re-brief of our targets:
Fernando Pacheco - becoming more likely, yet it is getting even quieter as there isn't much notice to this, and it is claimed to be on a loan until the end of the season.
Juan Muniz - all rounded midfielder who can easily give Tomlin a run for his place and is very competitive
Niguez - basically a full on, but younger, version of Whitehead (who is way past his peak in my opinion)

Our right back solution has been resurrected by the arrival of Tomas Kalas so there won't be any more arrivals for the Right back spot, however, two new targets who are under the radar from media have been linked with Boro. These are Tom Cairney who has been mentioned now and again, but nothing has went ahead just yet ( ). The second target is a versatile centre back who can also play in midfield, his name is Marios Oikonomou and he is only 22 years old, so has time to improve even further. He has played for Greece Under 21s and has a good relationship with Dimi Konstantopolous, who we could use to persuade Oikonomou to come to Middlesbrough.

Extra: Mark Hughes has let Robert Huth go out on loan to a Championship club. Watford are winning the race at the moment, but 2 other Football League clubs are interested.

14 Jan 2015 15:21:52
Fernando Pacheco on a loan until the end of the season may have become even more quiet, but it is still going on and is looking increasingly likely as Konstantopolous turns 37, we have Mejias as our back up at the moment and Karanka is concerned that if we get promoted, how will they cope?.

I know we still have Ripley, but he still needs experience, as that is beneficial to both him and the club, look at how Reach and Gibson turned out, an influential duo who play a significant part in Karanka's future plans.

Niguez (also known as Jony) is a younger kind of version of Whitehead is way past his peak, whereas Muniz is a more all-rounded midfielder.

14 Jan 2015 15:24:07
My mate from whom I get my information was here and I put the above names to him. Pacheco remains a target but Ivan Perez Munoz advises that Mejias outshone Pacheco at Madrid, my friend wouldn't be surprised if we swooped for a more experienced goalie whilst he knows Aitor to be an admirer of Muniz and Niguez but not interested in signing either yet (I must stress the yet apparently). He has heard nothing of Cairney but says it could be possible. There is no interest in Oikonomou though my friend is an admirer of his, Karanka has no awareness of the player. Fran Merida deal could be back on after Milos Veljkovic's loan extension failed.

15 Jan 2015 07:08:38
Fernando Pacheco is a younger keeper than Mejias, and Mejias hasn't really proven himself to be an adequate keeper who will be able to replace Konstantopolous in the near future.

Oikonomou is a 22 year old central defender who is well known by Dimi Konstantopolous as they have played in the Greece National acedemy side together, (Oikonomou was just 16 then).

Cairney is a target that is going under the radar as there has been hardly, or no mention at all, yet it is a likely possibility he could arrive in Teesside considering Veljkovic has went back to Spurs, and Whitehead seemingly past his peak and seems to be more fitted to our right back role, thus leaving just Clayton, Leadbitter and our young future prospect Bryn Morris as our only Centre midfielders. Muniz and Niguez are also potential targets to arrive in teesside.

Extra: I've been reading the Evening Gazette and it is suggested that an Emerson-type of midfielder is set to arrive on Teesside. Anyone got any idea who this could be?

15 Jan 2015 16:19:09
Oikonomou and Dimi did not play together in the Greek youth teams because Dimi would have been ineligible to do so six years ago as he would have been 31. Furthermore, Cairney is not someone who the club have expressed an interest in but I personally would love to see him at the Riverside. Muniz and Niguez cannot be called targets yet as Boro have no interest in actually signing them, but Karanka does admire the players. As for the Emerson article in the gazette you have misunderstood. If Pacheco does come in it will be if/when Mejias departs so Pacheco can be second choice goalkeeper

I meant like player/coach type, you know what I mean, sorry about that little mix up.
And no I have not misunderstood the Emerson article as Karanka is looking for a loanee who can replace Milos Veljkovic.
I think everyone would love Tom Cairney at the Riverside! He is a good player and even though it is not out with the media, Karanka isn't impressed with Mejias, so is considering whether it'll be more beneficial to send him out on loan to free up wages or to sell him permanently to free the transfer budget up as well as the wages. What would you do if you were Karanka?

18 Jan 2015 16:35:23
Oh I thought you meant that their was some kind of friendship between the two Greeks. In fact, it's quite probable that the two have never met. The Emerson article was in no way a reference to any potential incomer, it was just to remember a fantastic player. Cairney, ideal signing. Karanka has said he will not sign a new first choice goalkeeper until the summer, but if whether Mejias is sold or loaned out, Pacheco would be the replacement second choice. If I were Karanka I'd pack the poor lad back of to Spain where he is more comfortable

11 Jan 2015 21:02:31
Preston signing a goalkeeper on a permanent deal, either paul robinson or sam johnstone, winger will hayhurst to sign for notts county

Simon grayson said there are going to be incomings and outgoings early this week

29 Jul 2014 13:51:51
Bristol City joining the clubs looking at St Johnstone's Stevie May.

Bid dependent on if Sam Baldock leaves Ashton Gate in the next week/10 days with Middlesborough, Brighton, Leeds and Derby all interested.

29 Jul 2014 17:50:51
I hope Brighton sign him

29 Jul 2014 17:57:27
Doubt we'll be signing Baldock after already bringing in two strikers but would love to see him at Boro

29 Jul 2014 21:27:02
Middlesbrough aren't interested in Sam Baldock. Jelle Vossen, Bamford + others are the potential transfers upfront.

Brighton on the verge of signing tomas pekhart as a replacement for ulloa

29 Jul 2014 23:26:25
Doubt May will swap Europa League football for Div 1, especially as the papers up here report that there's a number of C'ship clubs in for him

If any club wants Baldock hope they got plenty money as lansdown will not sell cheap already rejected bids around the 2 mill mark

30 Jul 2014 18:28:16
In my views sorry he is just not good emough

Good cus Baldocks stying put

31 Jul 2014 16:13:54
Brighton nothing special mid table at best why would he join them

Mid table at best?. Brighton have been in the championship play offs the last 2 seasons running. Hardly mid table is it.

May as well be!

01 Aug 2014 10:51:23
We are at least getting the opportunity for promotion. We're just not taking it. If baldock had the choice, I'm sure he would rather join the club on the up.

Baldock is already at a club on the Up and says he's happy in Bristol and not interested in a move away unless the club receive an offer they can't turn down (over £3m)

Why, he's with one.

01 Aug 2014 20:04:29
Well if he's happy or not, he's not worth 3 mil. I don't know how you can say were a mid table team

If he got the choice, it would be derby

10 Jul 2014 00:11:56
Fee of around 800 thousand as been agreed between Rotherham and St Johnstone for Stevie May. The latter are also after Michael Tidser on loan as part of the deal.

Rotherham have rejected a bid of 450 thousand for Ben Pringle from Brentford. Leeds are also looking at Pringle and also Agard.

Rotherham have already mentioned that they want 3 million for pringle agard probably won't be cheap either

Pringle will not be leaving rotherham this summer despite a lot of interest being shown in him. Agard however, has encouraged the luff interest in him and given that he has only 12 months left on his contract, Rotherham would be likely to let him leave this summer

27 Jun 2014 18:26:04
Middlesbrough to sign Stevie May from St Johnstone after the 21 year old striker rejected a new deal.

He signed a 12 month contract extension not long ago so he's under contract until 2015

20 Jun 2014 22:37:54
st johnstone look to try and sercure the signing of david goodwillie and calvin zola
