Former Hearts striker Jamie Mole is on trial with Stirling Albion. Albion know they want to sign him but are worried about his fitness. Mole, who made his debut for Hearts at only 18, was quoted by a number of managers of being a top talent. The striker is keen on getting his career back on track by signing with second division Sterling and scoring goals.

His strike record at every club is dreadful but this move could be good in terms of re building his confidence.

Jay Rod stats Appearances Goals
2007–Burnley 70 (26)
2008-Stirling Albion (loan) 11 (3)
2010- Barnsley (loan) 6 (1)

What is the big deal about this player...hardly prolific is he, played 6 games for Barnsley last year.......

Burnley you can keep him
--------------------------------------
I don't know who you support, but he's an england u21 international and easily has the most potential for a striker in the championship. Read a book.

------------------------

You could argue that Shane Long had a poor goal to appearance ratio before last season, It comes down to the fact that Jay is much younger and has potential to grow into a bigger and better player. Also if your using those stats to make out that Jay-Rod is poor. What about Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain? He was bought for that price because of his age and potential just like Jay will go for a high price because of his age and potential
.........................................
I'm very sure that Jay rod never played 70 games in 2007...Burnley didn't play 70 times

Send him to the SPL

Jay Rod spent his whole time at Burnley last season making 42 appearances in total scoring 15 goals in his first season as a first choice striker... thats why hes such a valuble assest as he has massive potential and has already established himself which was again proved last week when he scored 4 goals earning his first senior hatrick

JayRod is too good for Southampton - he should wait until a Premier League club comes in for him like Wigan or Bolton.

JayRod wants to join Saints because he knows they are going to walk the league with more than 100 points and take the Premier League by storm next season

With JR, Jack Cork and Danny Fox on board, Saints will be unstoppable this season.

I'm a saints fan and quite frankly i'm bored of everyone that we've signed about 50times now, saints will not walk the league, cocky fans like you that give us saints fans a bad name for being arrogant.

Indeed. The rest of the League are quaking in their boots over the likes of Jack Cork. If your statement wasn't full blown sarcasm, I can see a rude awakening for Saints fans like you by about Christmas time. One on the radio this morning, a punter saying 'Play Offs as minimum' because you had 'Championship level players last season'. This is the Championship. 18 teams remain who were in the Championship last season... they might well have also had Championship level players. You could argue that the three relegated teams had Championship level players. So join the club and try a dose of realism... you will do well, but you are all on trips if you think the Play Offs are a shoe in. There are a host of clubs who are similarly or better placed than yourselves... walk before you can run, kids.

But we will walk the league

Just walk the plank.

Sorry.

That should read 'just walk, you plank'.
