Arsenal News

Have it on good authority that Chamakh has already signed a pre contract agreement to join in the summer. One other signing to follow but no name.

11 Feb 2010 22:23:25
Jason Roberts and James vaughan have been enquired about by Leicester City regarding loan moves to cover the injured Fryatt.

Austin from Swindon is another possibility, but only if a fee agreed for the summer is paid up in advance. (50% of it)

Coventry City are to take a look at Non–League player Reece Yorke who plays for Wealdstone.

The 17 year old has recently been called up by England and is set to be a star of the future.

Yorke was recommended to Coventry by Stuart Pearce, who played for Wealdstone before joining Coventry City in the early 1980s.

If fabregas leaves for barcelona , either gourcuff , ireland or ribery will be signed. For keeper i don't think a keeper will come or leave as young keeper are progressing. Chamakh will the only striker signed. Arsenal will try a tricky bid for parker and behrami.

11 Feb 2010 17:32:23
Man utd
1. VIDIC will only leave if the price is right
2. ANDERSON will not be sold this summer, but next season is a big one for him to show improvement
3. OWEN is a goner at the end of the season, he needs regular football
4. Expect very few summer signings. but if VDS retires, Fergie might look to sign a keeper, although he has been impressed by KUSZCZAK this season.
5. Other than that, Utd will only buy players that are truly top class, as Fergie has faith in the likes of WELBECK, GIBSON, etc. The players who will be considered if they become available are: BENZEMA (Fergie loves him), AGUERO (Unlikely as Fergie deosn't rate him as a 30m+ player), D. SILVA (Would cover holes on the left side, and as a creative midfielder, but likely to stay in Spain), C. RONALDO (very unlikely, but don't rule out a return at some point, Real–ity is not as Ronaldo dreamed it, and he misses the Premier League and Utd.

Said this once before I will say it again
David Silva will join Barca.
David Villa will join Man United. 100%

Arsenal News (real)

All the rubbish that gets posted on this site by back biting teenagers over who Utd/Chelsea/arsenal/Liverpool will sign is real entertainment. The minute one person links an unknown to their club the suddenly he's signing for every other team, the reality of it is, no major transfers went through in Jan because no one has any money.

Wenger according to the tabloids over the past 12 months has had the following players watched closely.

Buffon, Lahm, Zapata, Hazard, Inler, Cabaye, Villa and Chamackh.

But again he won't be robbed or bullied into buying established stars. If we look closely at the above list with the exception of Chamackh and maybe Hazard or even Cabaye, none of the others will be bought and here is why:

Buffon, transfer fee of maybe 20 million, 80,000k a week over maybe a 4 year contract and that works out at a staggering 36.6 million over 4 years.
Lahm, 15 million/13 million in wages = 28.5 million.
Zapata, 10 million/9 million in wages = 19 million.
Inler, 10/12 million/10 million in wages = 20/22 million.
Villa, 25 million/18 million in wages = 43 million.
That's nearly 150 million over 4 years with no guarantee of success, wenger won't do it, and by the way neither will anyone else.

So with that in mind, I'd expect chamackh, Hazard and Cabaye to sign, but then again knowing Wengers history maybe none of them will end up at the emirates. Who knows, but please people try and put a bit of thought into your posts, even if they are complete fantasy.

Abdul Aziz Al Ghurair has made an offer of 150m for 49% Liverpool. He hopes he can agree a deal before April.

Clearly, (Rafa's favourite word after FACT!), there is tremendous speculation regarding changes to Liverpool's playing staff at the end of the season in light of several below par performances this year.

The reality is that until the situation regarding future investment is resolved, coupled with the uncertainity over whether the club will be playing Champions League football next season; no big deals will be done.

However, there is one player attracting a lot of interest from several top clubs and that is Fabio Aurelio.

Prior to Ciro Ferrara's sacking, Juventus had contacted the player's agent, while I understand the likes of Bayern Munich, Roma & Athletico Madrid are all circling, as contract talks have stalled between player and club.

With the player's representatives seeking a 3 year deal worth in excess of £7 million, a summer departure is a definite possibility for the Paulista.

The usual suspects have been touted as his replacement (Taiwo & Bale) but neither deal is likely at all. Although Benitez has a long standing interest in both players, Marseille would expect a fee upwards of £10 million for a player untested outside of France, whilst Bale is cementing his place as a Spurs first teamer.

Two surprise candidates have emerged as summer targets in the event of Aurelio's departure, Royston Drenthe & Armand Traore.

Man city are to offer barcelona an astonoshing 70 million offer for andreas iniesta and an even more crazy offer of 90 millon for zlatan ibrahimovic. barcelona want both players to stay but may accept the crazy money offerd altho its gotta b waited n seen whether either or neither would accept the move.football terms maybe not..but money ways both would become the highest paid players in the world of football

11 Feb 2010 13:46:42
Barca have publicly announced today that they have a maximum budget of 50m euro's for Fabregas, which is about £43m, I expect if he went for this fee, Wenger will want a player chucked in with the deal also, but the absolute maximum cash Wenger will get for Fabregas is 50m euro's.

To the person who posted this: Just been speaking to Owen Hargreaves outside Man Utd's training ground, his move to Preston on loan should be tied up early next week. Was due to be this Tuesday but there was a slight disagreement in the length of the loan.

PNE wanted him for the rest of the season, but Hargreaves wants just an initial 1 month.

Fergie jnr held a Q&A answer session yesterday, and he told the guests that there would be no more loans from his father at Man Utd. I may have been misinformed but make of it what you will

Bad news for arsenal and the english game in general..its looking more n more likly that its WHEN rather than IF cesc fabregas will be on his way to barcelona.the reports are that cesc will push for a move after the world cup and altho he is not un happy at arsenal, his dream move can beome reality n who can blame the lad.only plus side for arsenal is thy will then have 1st option on toure and bojan.its well known tht wenger is also a big fan of sergio busquets but so is guardiola.we will see but english fans enjoy cesc while u can because he willl be gone, believe !

barcelona are also in the mold for another top class forward, david villa or frank ribery will also join altho real madrid lik all three players mentiond aswell.

most likly..cesc–barcelona
villa, barcelona

Unlike the previous poster, my friend down in the Manchester area is also just after speaking to Owen Hargreaves who took great pleasure in telling him that a loan move to the Glasgow giants Celtic was on. Owen reckons a 3 year deal worth £70,000 a week will be offered in the summer.

Once again, Dermot Desmond is getting the cheque book out.

Portsmouth will be cancelling the contracts of four players, in a bid to save money ahead of next week's court appearance.

David James will be staying at the club, but Papa Bouba Diop, Kevin Prince–Boateng, Aruna Dindane and Tal Ben Haim will be leaving for Sunderland, Wigan, Everton and Chelsea respectively on free transfers.

John Utaka is going to be released on a free, and is likely to head abroad to play football as no club here wants to pay him £80k a week. Wolfsburg have shown interest in him, however.

One thing is certain – the club must be solvent and all debts paid by June 30th 2010 including any and all immediate payments to HMRC. There is a bidder, waiting in the wings, and contrary to recent gossip, the investor is not Simon Cowell, Mark King (of Level 42) or John Gregory but he/she has links with the South Coast and money ready to invest in both the team and new stadium.

My uncle is a journalist in the Canary Islands. Apparently Real Sociedad is on the brink of hiring Sergio Goycochea as their manager for the 10/11 season.

11 Feb 2010 07:30:31
First thing first, the Spainish media will say whatever 2 sell papers and Barcelona and Madrid have long used Sport and Marca 2 unsettle players this is the case with Fabregas and Wenger knows it, He will not listen 2 Barca unless they offer 60 million, even then he will try to push it up to 75 million and insist on players thrown in. It is a possiblity whe Xavi retires that Barca will come hunting, they would still have trouble shifting Iniesta to the left 2 accomadate Fabregas so don't believe the hype.

Arsenal WILL buy this summer, Chamakh deal is as good as done, he will sign on a free with wages of 50000–60000 a week. Sahko has been closely watched by Wenger 4 sometime and a 8–10 million offer is being readied at Wenger's insistence. Silvestre could b included in the deal 4 PSG otherwise he, Senderos and Campbell will leave on frees and BSK Borca defender Stefan Savic is still a possiblity but Arsenal will wait till summer to decide after his 10 day trial with the club.

Gallas has been offered a 1 year extension and wants continued assurances that he will b a first team regular. Wenger will not break his policy of only offering 1 year extensions 4 players over 30, therefore his future is still in the air.

This provides some interesting situations, should Gallas leave Wenger has some alternatives such as Neven Subotic and Serdar Tasci. Subotic is believed 2 have half of Europe's elite chasing him and has a 20 million price tag on his head and Wenger will not enter a bidding war. Tasci on te other hand is feeling resentful towards the new Stuttgart regime and with the club looking 2 sign loanee Niedermier from Bayern permanantly could well b avalible 4 10 million.

Wenger is also interested in improving the right side of defence with Osusana's Ceasar Azpilicuata, Ajax's Gregory Van Der Wiel and Cardiff's Adam Matthews being looked at. Currently, Van Der Wiel has has the added advantage of being a first class CB as well. All would b worth around 5–10 million.

Finally, it is highly unlikely that Denilson will leave, Wilshere may extend his loan with Bolton and Wenger will do everything 2 make sure Merida stays as he is a top youngster. Traore will probably stay unless he is the subject of a 3–4 million bid and Sakho is signed. Simpson may indeed used as makeweight for Raheem Sterling.

11 Feb 2010 09:23:26
Arsenal are interested in the following players:

GK – Igor Akinfeev (15m, CSKA Moscow), Hugo Lloris (12m, Lyon), Manuel Neuer (10m, Schalke), Joe Hart (5m, Man City), Robert Green (6m, West Ham).
DF – Cesar Azpilicueta (8m, Osasuna), Stefan Savic (2.25m, BSK Borska), Neven Subotic (14m, Dortmund), Gary Cahill (12m, Bolton), Simon Kjaer (11m, Palermo), Mahamdou Sakho (9m, PSG), Adam Matthews (3m, Cardiff).
MF – Moussa Sissoko (8m, Toulouse), Stephen Ireland (7m, Man City), Scott Parker (5m, West Ham), Eden Hazard (8.5m, Lille).
ST – Marouane Chamakh (Free, Bordeaux), Lacine Traore (3m, Cluj), Edin Dzeko (16m, Wolfsburg), Carlton Cole (10m, West Ham), Andre–Pierre Gignac (12m, Toulouse).

Most likely players are: Joe Hart/Manuel Neuer, Stefan Savic, Gary Cahill/Neven Subotic, Moussa Sissoko, Stephen Ireland, Lacine Traore, Marouane Chamakh.

Outgoing will be Manuel Almunia (3m), Lukasz Fabianski (6m), Kerrea Gilbert (Free), Mikail Silvestre (Free), Sol Campbell (Free), Phillipe Senderos (Free), William Gallas (Free – If a new contract cannot be agreed), Armand Traore (4m), Fran Merida (Free), Denilson (7.5m) and Eduardo (10m).

Here's some news for Chester fans, wondering what the heck is going on at the Deva.

I have it on good authority that the new Chairman of the club will be TNS owner Mike Harries.

Mike's plan is to take over Chester City and merge TNS with them, creating a new team to be called Chester United. The away kit for next season will be the same as the current TNS home shirt.

TNS will quit the Welsh Premier League, and a new club – Oswestry Town – will take their place in the league and play at their Park Hall Stadium. This will be a 'full circle' as Oswestry Town used to play there before their merger with TNS.

Mike has wanted TNS to move to the English league for ages, and the current saga at Chester is a way in for him. Mike will buy the club for £1, pay the debts off and that will be the end of Chester City FC.

11 Feb 2010 00:24:13
As everyone stadium plans have stalled or stopped altogther kenright will give moyes a bit of cash in the summer as our squad is so bare in places the creative mid position is where our big money signing will be either defour or mountinho 11mill for either or moyes will go for a big name striker like huntalear or vanger love. Other signings will be beckford on a free, senderos on a free, mucha on a free and 2 loan signings.
