Blackpool Rumours– The gaffers looking at getting a few loans– Martin Kelly or Stephen Darby + David N'gog Liverpool. 80% chance of pulling it off!

Whoever thinks Notts County have 1.2m to spend at all, let alone one one player is in a world of their own and obviously just posts rubbish for the sake of it. Your 'rumour' had no credability or substance. I hope for your sake you were drunk at the time of posting, otherwise, I strongly advise seeking professional help, they may be able to offer a brain scan on the NHS

DavieBhoy have u got any news or ideas on when Rangers will start making new signings? Goodwillie has been talked about for a while now yet still not there, and u seem 2 be the only one here with decent info.

I won't say where this came from, but I have literally just been told (on good authority) that Craig Conway, from dundee utd , will be discussing terms with Rangers over the next few days

Billy Mehmet has signed a 2 year deal with Turkish club Genclerbirligi. Bristol City were never interested in him.

Rangers will get obertan on loan from man u and David healy.goodwillie and lee miller.

I have been told we are 75% likely to get obertan. I hope we get david healy and goodwillie but lee miller would be worse than Sebo.

I CAN CONFIRM THAT OBERTAN WILL NOT BE GOING TO RANGERS ON LOAN

And how can you confirm this?

Rangers– Ellis deal STILL ON.Just won't be completed before Wednesday/Thursday next week.

Not going to go on about what players are coming because simply not sure.A lot of players on holidays or at WC so things dragging a bit.

Celtic– Lennon linked with everyone with a pulse at the moment but he too will be trying to deal with agents.

OF targets Ledley, Petrov likely to ply their trade in England next season.Sol Campbell and Liam Lawrence the likliest to complete.

Charlie Austin is close to agreeing a 2 year deal with Forest.

Forest and Cardiff have been in talks all day about Robert Earnshaw, and Cardiff have relented and offered Forest their asking price for the Wales striker.

Forest have also been in contact with Swindon about compensation for Austin:

Bottom line is.

Cardiff will give Forest £2m for Earnshaw,
Cardiff sell Bothroyd to WBA (£1.5m), Chopra to Ipswich (£4.5m) and McCormack to Wigan (£1m)

Cardiff's new forward line will therefore be Earnshaw, Ahmad Ali (Malaysian forward, part of the deal involving the new owners) and Pele Koljonen (Finnish International) – source is a senior figure at CCFC.

Forest will offer that £2m PLUS Joe Garner for Charlie Austin
Swindon sign Garner plus Smith and Hammond (now that Tubbs has indicated he wants to move to Bournemouth). Swindon to also sign Ferry permanently and offer contracts to Gyepes, Enckelman, Sheridan, Thompson and Carey."

Once again, the forest bits of that are just fantasy. The club is effectively closed down for the next 2–3 weeks. No deals are going to be done until july.

11 Jun 2010 22:53:13
Friday evening and alls quiet down Ibrox way , me thinks that perhaps Wednesdays announcement on Mr Ellis's iminent takeover (to be confirmed for Friday apparently) was just a stunt pulled to upstage Neil Lennon's appointment , i hear that there is fresh doubt whether it will ever happen .

Well no one at rangers said the deal would be done by friday so don't make ou they did. Also the takeover is not imminent as ellis has said there is no timescale on it. You need to get your facts right and don't talk about making announcments to upstage other teams can you not remember when celtic announced lennon was announced as a coach it was 3 hours before rangers uefa cup semi final. Manchester United to use Anderson + cash to sign one big player and possibly Berbatov + cash for a striker. If Vidic is sold , United could be quite busy after the WC.
Is it just me or is anyone else SICK AND TIRED of reading unrealistic Rangers and Celtic rumours ?
I think you should create a new page for SPL rumours Editor what do you think ?
Sorry but SPL is boring its like watching League Two football except the pitches are like those in Afghanistan.

how can park be in the starting line up maybe for some games but not most of them

and the way you've done the line up it looks like you've put fletcher and hernandez in the same position

fletcher shouldn't even be on the bench he is a top player.evidence – he was even in the premier league team of the year

To the guy that wrote

MASSIVE CELTIC FC NEWS!!

O'Brine has given Celtic 25 Million to spend in the transfer market and i can tell you Lenny has put in a bid of 9 million for CRAIG BELLAMY! bellamy's chances will be restricted at city this season with the potential signing of Silva or Mata and has already held talks with Peter Lawwell about terms.

Also Celtic will sign Joe Ledley from Cardiff and are also in for Ross McCormack. Sol Campbell will defo sign and Lenny is also considering making a shock move for either Doncaster's Brian Stock or Leeds United Neil Kilkenny.

Bad news is Robbie Keane won't be rejoining and Bullard has rejected the chance of a move because of the lower wages offered to him.

Up the celts.

Your correct on the Bellamy story. I live in Manchester and the story has been doing the rounds in are local boozer. Mancini has already told Bells that he isn't in his long term plans and he can leave.

Also heard you lot have been in contact with are ex–winger Martin Petrov and made an enquiry about Michael Johnson. Suppose we will just have to see what happens.

You'll know best then mate!. But rangers won't reject a cash offer for him(future captain or not) especially when they have three midfielders that can play in his position.(Remember Allan Hutton?)
I can tell you now there are a few"untouchables" at Ibrox Thomo, Davis , and Whittaker are three of them and it would take an offer like the one we got for Alan Hutton for Rangers to do business, which, I would find very unlikely
We don't have to sell, that's been said for a while now, but if a massive bid came in for any player, it would certainly be considered

The payment of the tax bill has wiped out the "investors". They have no more money unless big Vinnie Tan decides to invest. In another week Cardiff will be back to square one and unable to pay the staff or players. Unless Vinnie comes on board, Cardiff are screwed – again. And this time they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

what idiot wrote this , must be a sad jack.our new investore have run out of money .are you for real do you know how much they have hot .close to a billion you muppet so why not just jog on and concentrate on your own club whoever it maybe !.the tax bill is paid, and all others are sorted with them.MUPPETS!

I'm the idiot that wrote that, and what I wrote is 100% fact. Your "investors" put 6m into the pot, all of which has been spent on keeping the club afloat and paying the taxman. There is no more from them unless Vinnie Tan decides to invest. If he doesn't, your "investors" will simply asset strip your club and get their money back plus a bit more and bugger off . Not long now till you're where you belong – in the Welsh league.

Well well well Dermot Desmond promises a huge announcment for this date 4 months ago and guess what.. nothing. The celtic fans board and players really need to start doing their talking on the pitch instead of talking bullshit all the time. Rangers are likely to be dropping their intrest in Tommy Smith as feel Pompeys asking price is too high instead the will look to sign one or two of Nugent, Goodwillie or an african striker whoose name i don't know.

Facts are this!

LIVERPOOL have not tabled an offer for Kun Aguero, they have however informed A Madrid that they are interested in working out a deal. At this time no offer is on the table and even if there were the Reds would quickly be out bid by a higher profile club. Also looking at the dire state of the Reds he will not make the same mistake as Fernando!!

Thanks Daviebhoy and i am a rangers fan. i think t he biggest supprisses in what i am hearing is the seb larrson and robert koren transfers. both are free but celtic have the money to offer seb larrson the chance to play for a big club. i also hope something does come with the Ellis deal but imo it doesn't look good even though my source has said its 90% complete. also i heard that if celtic do sell mcgeady it will only be to villa with an option of petrov back but again imo that's just ludicrus.

Agree with Daviebhoy on most of his points/facts or whatever you want to call them. However to completely rule out keane? have you a source for this mate?. The St Ledger deal is a definate no go and has been since Mowbray was sacked.
Is it true that Davie Hay has been sounded out as director of football?.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

How you goin mate?

with regards to Davie hay and Joe Jordan, this came from a decent source, he didn;t say it was definite, just that these were lenny's preference's

With regards to Keano/Bells I wouldn't repeat who told me, but all I will say is Not the view, (celts for change) and he's never wrong, and yes there is loads that can be connected with that, buy only a TRUE celt will know, and I hope he won;t mention the name on here !

LFC–RUMOUR Aimar– the cash sale off albert riera can cover that alone. l, pool need quality proven EXPERIANCED players, look at chelsea, 6 of the outfield players in ther 30's an that's wat we need, As for his fitness, the club will havea strong look at our medical team, our whole squad had strange injuries last season, il stick my neck out an say he'l wear No–10. Bbee {editor's note – you can stick your neck out as far as you like, but I am sure he won't be signed for 10million.}

re this one:

To the people eho said this then Daviebhoy is spot on and i no the connection due to a few of my work collegues having the same connection. I work in johnstone.

now real rumours kevin thomson WILL NOT leave rangers bougherra wilson broadfoot boyd novo will. Rangers targets are a Lens Striker, georgie welcome, lee miller, goodwillie (being priced out though), ledley (would rather go to celtic but will prob end up in italy), hutton, a couple of arsenal youngsters on loan, petrov(being priced out in wages), koren (released by west brom smith thinks he could run the spl), and ELLIS WONT BUY THE CLUB,

Celtic targets. Keane(just won't happen), Bellamy ( same as keane), Ledley (roma looks more likely), Campbel (more or less complete), Seb Larrson, liam lawrance, leaving will be Boruc, McMannus, Hinkel and McCourt.

–––––––––––––––––

I'm guessin you support rangers mate, if you do or don't is irrelvant, but IMO you are spot on with regards to rangers, especially Thompson (ally will not let himgo) and your words on celtic are pretty much spot on, it's actually refreshing to see a rangers (if you're not i apologise) fan on here having proper foorball chat, you obviously know what you're talkin about mate,

You mentioned Ellis, and I agree with you, but, I would love to see Rangers taken over, and teir debt written off mate, as you know, and most football fans know, the spl need a strong OLD FIRM! not just one team, anyways mate, good, informative comments, I look forward to more

Hahaha this is funny
Ok. I've posted a few rumours on here and have yet to b proved wrong.

But I'm gonna start here with a bit of a rant.

Why is it spurs fans in particular come 4th once...........Everton will buy a new winger. Probably Ben Arfa or Donovan.
i laughed at this because if a new owner does come in they will want to build a new stadium to boost revenue so why would that even affect a decision like that considering i have been to goodison park for a few of the derbies i would rather sit in my shed at the bottom of my garden than there it is worse than a pig sty especially with the crack heads at the back of the glwadys (spelling) if everton do make a signing it would be most likely another man u reject the fat yak to west ham £7–9 mil
i was dissapointed when there was no news conference about liverpool but weve been lied to before the fat redneck but i do believ it is a smokescreen that it will take more than a year the end of the world cup is when i think any big new would come . any news about these youngster aswell wickham, wilson looks like we building for a big future

And by saying I know them isn't name dropping, it's just a simple fact, and let's be honest they aren't cole or cesc like some ppl on here claim to know.

Lfc rumour– I have given this site a genuine rumour 3 times now. LIVERPOOL TO BID €10 MILLION EUROS FOR PABLO AIMAR ON 15th JULY! Just thought some proper fans would like to know, no reason to lie, plus with a specific date, freind of pepe told me, its much better news than the stuff that gets repeated over an over an over an over..on here, Bbee {editor's note – that is because there is nothing genuine about it! He is 31 years old, no one is going to pay 10 million for an injury prone 31 year old this summer.}

You are all wrong!! Harry Kewell being fit to play is akin to the Messiah telling the cripple to pick up his bed and walk. Therefore it is obvious that we have in fact been bought by a consortium of God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Ghost. Shortly after this is announced at mass, by the Pope, at the Vatican this sunday. Expect it to be announced within hours of that that we have signed the 12 Apostles as the backbone of a new squad expected to also include the four horsemen of the Apocolypse for a bit of pace.

Bonjourno,

The Vidic training ground incident – my cousin lives in Salford & went to uni with a couple of ex youth players, rumour was Vidic 2 foot–tackled on of the young centre mids & was hauled away by a couple of senior players. I won't lie, it's not the god given truth, just something he heard whilst at uni!

I sure hope we don't get either Diarra – we need creative genius in midfield, not another average holding midfielder!

1) its BORUC

2) john o'shea is an integral part of man u's defensive options, i'm a leicester fan !!

I just love the "no no no, just no" that is exactly what was goin thru my head

anyways, for starters (IMO) we will not get 4m for boruc, last year of contract, we will get 2–2.5m max, crosas 3m ?? we would take 2m easily , samaras 3.5m (are you meaning we will pay someone 3.5 to take him) and 1.25 for MC, not a chance, we will take nothing less than a 2m down payment , with add ons, or 2.5m total.
And St LEADGER won't be signing, neither will St Ledger, or Bullard, and yer man before me said it all about O'Shea, so i'll say nothing there.

But don't get me wrong mate, I love the enthusiasm, and Lennon will buy big, fact (big in spl terms) but let's be realistic mate

I've bin told by a friend of Lennon that Celtic are looking to sign vanistleroy and robbie keane I dint think bellamy will join I wish I'm wrong but I can't see it hail hail

––––––––––

how ye goin mate?

just thought i'd pass on what i've heard, and it is a reliable source or 2, Keane WILL NOT be signing, neither will Bellamy, and despite paper talk saying otherwise, I will put my neck on the line and say that !

As for Van N, not a chance, he is not on Celtic's Radar, I have already said that Bullard won't be coming, and apart from Sol, there will be NO–ONE over the age of 30 (ish) coming to Parkhead, Lennon is in it for the long term, and Sol is seen not only as a short term stop gap, but as a teacher, to Rogne, Thompson and Hooiveld, hence pulling out everything to secure him.

Don't get me wrong mate, i'd love to see a front 2 of bells and keano, but unfortunately it won't be happening, and just to knock another few rumours on the head, St ledger won't be coming, and neither will petrov, or the silly talk of owen.

But don't stress mate, Lennon is bringin the thunder back

He's right there were several incidents with Vidic this year and he was pilloried by many of the united first team.

Vidic will leave as was agreed with Sir Alex pre Christmas. Rather than VDV or Benzema SAF is more interested in a holding midfielder!

Bonjour,

None of this " I'm Alex Ferguson's neighbour's 2nd cousin's ex babysitter, " or " I'm Ancelotti's barber " – just straight up rumours.

Man Utd – Looks like Vidic wants the move, his head hasn't been there for a while now ( remember the training ground incident where he nailed a youth player?) – Could be time to cash in. My guess would be either Benzema swap or VDV & cash. Kjaer in–bound for 12m is another possibility. Being a Red fan I'd love to see Hamsik/Gourcuff, but with the Glazer's bleeding us dry it'd be doubtful.

Arsenal – Eventually Fabregas will leave, interested to see how much power Arsenal have with the transfer fee involved. 40m would be fair, but I expect Barce to play hard ball unless Zlatan is sold. 2 defenders & a mid to come in, can't forsee Wenger breaking a lifetime trait of " splashing out " on 1 player.

Chelsea – Cole/Ballack out, maybe Schweinsteiger/Pienaar/Ireland in. Doubt they would stump up €51m for Aguero, but you never know.

Liverpool – Delusions of mass grandeur from the Kopites on this website – no major signings, Gerrard & Mascherano to jump the sinking ship, Torres to stay one more year before heading to Barce. Best you could hope for is Roy Hodgson, only man that might salvage with a small budget.

11 Jun 2010 18:59:09
David Moyes looking to revamp squad and options with approaches for a number of players

Martin Petrov, talks already ongoing

Robbie Keane, Moyes likes his ability to play the deeper role and provide extra goals, initially a loan signing until January with view to either further 6 months or perm deal. This will also allow Moyes time to work on deal with LA Galaxy for the return of Donovan.

Ben Arfa to arrive another possible loan but more likely an £8–10M transfer adding pace and tricks to the left side

Onouha likely to arrive from Man City or Steven Taylor from Newcastle who is not happy currently. These will coincide with the departure of Yobo.

11 Jun 2010 17:16:03
Ok. I've posted a few rumours on here and have yet to b proved wrong.

But I'm gonna start here with a bit of a rant.

Why is it spurs fans in particular come 4th once and become the worlds most arrogant club? Hate to break it to you but you will not be signing all these players. Joe Cole will not go to you. Steven Pienaar wil certainly not go to you and then even more ridiculous ones like David Silva and Gerrard. Stop making up ridiculous rumours that will never ever happen.

Second club is the red scum from across the park (liverpool). You are a have been club. It's official. No–one wants to buy a club that has a falling down stadium, no champions league football, and got europa league by one goal (if kuyt hadn't fouled howard and it finished everton 0–0 liverpool, everton would have finished 7th) You are not getting any new players except frees and loans.

Final club is city. Well need I say anymore? You were a nobody club. You're STILL a nobody club. Until you prove yourself big name players will not move to you.

Ok couple of real rumours.

Arsenal have joined the clubs after Onuoha to replace gallas, senderos and cambell.

Man U are going to make one big signing this season. Don't know who but will be AFTER the world cup.

Chelsea will not buy any big names. They are aiming to keep their squad, and buy a reserve striker/winger.

Everton will buy a new winger. Probably Ben Arfa or Donovan.

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Liverpool are a has been club? We had our worst season in a decade and still finished ahead of you. That's hilarious.

Wilson Palacios to Barcelona

Pienarr to one of Man Cit£h/Spurs/United

Bastian Schweinsteiger to Chel$ki

Mascherano to Inter, Kuyt as well

David Silva has interest from big clubs like Real Madrid, Inter Milan, United asking price is £30 million.
Cit£h are hopelessly pursuing him to. (being used to jack up price no doubt)

Danny Wilson to Liverpool deal back on.

Re St Pauli :)

11 Jun 2010 17:27:50
I seriously doubt lennon's interested in goodwillie or griffiths both are decent in there respective teams but not of a particularly high standard. i think celtic will be aiming higher this summer. from what i heard from an ex celtic player whom i know well(goalkeeper john fallon) DESMOND is willing to put his money where his mouth is and back lennon. i also heard that none other than joe jordan could be appointed lennons 'mentor'. ( I hope so as hes been carrying ARRY BLEEDIN REDKNAPP on a day to day basis for years) and were linked with some sweedish wonderkid called BEHRAM SAFARI never heard of him personally, can any1 shed sum light on wether hes any good?

ST PAUL

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

St Pauli, how are ye mate?

your bang on about Goodwillie and griffiths, and desmond.
It's funny you mention Jordan tho, I haven't said it on here because I couldn;t be bothered with the usual guff I get form the rangers fans, and then spurs fans knocking it, but I was told that the "mentor role" will either go to Jordan or Davie Hay, this is from the same person that told me that lennon would get the job "before" a mentor being in place, and I was mocked on here for saying that, but it turned out true.

With regards to Safari, I researched a little on him today, seems like a regular in the Basle team, celtic interest? not much is known apart from Johan has seen him play, and said he was worth a second look, the only thing is, he's with Basle who are in the 3rd round qf of the CL, so if they don;t qualify, they will sell (not neccesarily to celtic) rumoured 1.75m, but if they do qualify, they won't have to, and that's not until August, however, Johan is too busy finalising his own contract at the mo.
But the one thing that raises concerns to me is, he's iranian born, not sure what passport he holds, so the work visa could be a problem?? possibly
But tbh, i think johan was at a game, was asked what he thought of him and answered honestly "i think he's a very good player" and the papers have put 2 and 2 together.

But Lennon did say today that he's hoping to bring in 5 players to "compliment" the current squad.

So fingers crossed mate

Arsenal are having some problems with Koscienly. He wants to come, but Lorient's chairman is not having any of it, especially with the offers that Arsene has made. Could be a friend of the Bordeaux chairman who was mad at how Arsenal took Chamakh away from them. Maybe the french teams have had enough of Arsene and his cheap prices. Anyways arsene needs to get Gourcuff while he can before the worldcup ends and everyone and their mother are after him. He has a release clause and Arsene needs to take advantage of it. Joe cole should be signed on a short term contract, and edin hazard needs to be purchased and then loaned back to Lille for a season or so to help his progress. lets face it if Fab doesn't leave this summer then he will next summer or in 2 years. Might as well get the players to replace him cheaper now then they would be in a few years due to increased player transfer values. On top of that Arsene still needs 1–2 other defenders that can come in and compete for a starting spot. Oh and don't let me forget about a keeper.I have heard reports that Arsene is after Llyoris and that he is thinking about making a 10mil bid for him, if and I say if that is enough which doesn't seem like that will be; he would be an absolute class signing for them. They would have all the pieces at that point. who knows the way the south african keeper played today he might be a target. Oh and they need to sign Tshabalala I just love his name lol!

11 Jun 2010 18:24:19
To all those of you that believed there was not be a press conference between 1–3 today. It was never going to happen. Liverpool do not announce their press conferences until 1 hour before they are going to begin – that gives the local press time to get to either Melwood or Anfield.

Every Friday at 11.a.m. there is a press briefing and that is what took place this morning. What was discussed I have no idea but it could not have been that important.

As for a take over – There has not been one – there is no sugar daddy in sight. I work at a regulators in London and would have to see the Sale documents before it was signed and sealed due to the involvement of the banks.

11 Jun 2010 18:03:41

Outs:
Foster 7mill Birmingham
Vidic 35mill Real Madrid (Jose Huge fan)
Berbatov 15mil Ac milan
Carrick 10mill Spurs
O'Shea 5mill Bolton

generates total transfer fund off 92mill

In:
Akinfeev swap Kusycheck
Kjaer 12mill
Subotvic 14mill
Hamsik 18mill
Diego 21mill

total spent 90mill

This rumours thing is easy!! ;)

FACT:

Mokeona won't join Wolves because of McCarthy's 'no second chance policy' which will in turn be his downfall. Wolves will need to be well above relegation zone by Christmas, if Morgan does not produce axe.

Hunt going to Baggies not Wolves also.
Bullard joining Celtic not Wolves.

But the person who thinks Heskey and Walcott are destined for the Albion is deluded.
Heskey is set to join Blackburn.

Any ebbsfleet united rumours?

ST PAULI

Davie Hay has been approached as director of football at parkhead. Lennon rates him higher than Baxter and wants someone who knows the club and himself. This is HIS decision no one else.

Ok couple of real rumours..

11 Jun 2010 17:16:48
You are all wrong!! Harry Kewell being fit to play is akin to the Messiah telling the cripple to pick up his bed and walk. Therefore it is obvious that we have in fact been bought by a consortium of God The Father, God The Son, and God The Holy Ghost. Shortly after this is announced at mass, by the Pope, at the Vatican this sunday. Expect it to be announced within hours of that that we have signed the 12 Apostles as the backbone of a new squad expected to also include the four horsemen of the Apocolypse for a bit of pace.

Charlie Austin to PNE with stephen elliott going the other way (PNE to give elliott pay off to accept reduced wages)
Neal Trotman to Huddersfield, almost completed
Neill collins to leeds
Neil Mellor to either Barnsley or Sheff Wednesday
Veliche Shumutolski to either leeds or central europe
Chris sedgwick to Sheff Wednesday
Michael Hart to Hibs
Liam Chilvers released
Darren Carter to either QPR, Norwich or Reading
Richard Chaplow to Middlesborough or a return to Burnley
Paul Hayes from scthorpe to PNE (completed)
Hayes has convinced Hooper to talk to PNE
Richie De Laet, Matt James to PNE on season loans from Man Utd
Nicky Butt and Robbie Blake to PNE both frees
Craig Dawson from Rochdale to PNE
Darren Ferguson has talked to Zheng Zhi and informed him about the financial situation means they cannot afford high wages, Zheng in turn has agreed a pay cut but will recieve a bonus should PNEs attendance increase through the Chinese community in Preston mainly at the university
Craig Morgan to join PNE from peterborough
Billy Sharp will join Doncaster as they have brought out his best form and he enjoys o'driscolls management and is not guarenteed regular football at leeds
David Nugent considering offers from Bolton, PNE and West Brom, not considering Blackpol as he loves PNE too much and wouldn't considering playing for their rivals and not going back to Burnley as he doesn't like Laws nor does he want to play against PNE

Although many of these rumours are about PNE, it is because my source, an agent mainly deals with PNE players although he is likely to be more spread out next season due to Fergusons clear out, and even if you do not choose to listen to them, they are true.
Expect the takeover to be sorted out by 23rd of June, Hemmings does not want PNE to go to court and will pay the tax bill around the 20th of June. Hes just forcing the main shareholders to sell so he gains control of PNE

Chelsea are after van persie an vermealen? ha that has to be a joke. van persie all ready said he'd turned them down last year an wanted to stay at arsenal. an as for vermealen hes only been here a year?! as arsenal are lookin for probably 3 more defenders i find it hilarious that anyone would think wenger would let his best defender go?
an whos johan gourcruff? you mean yoann gourcuff? ancelloti plays one attacking mid, frank lampard which is were gourcuff plays so he won't be joining chelsea. david silva looks a good bet but the temptations of money from city or madrid may tempt him away.
Joe cole to arsenal!!

Daviebhoy i was just wondering whether you've heard the rumour of Boruc, mcgeady, Hinkel, and mcmanus being shown the door at paradise. To be honest can't see McGeady going for any less than £10m but the rest in my opinion we can afford to lose. Just wondering if you've heard this and who the replacements are likely to be.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I heard about 2 weeks ago, form a reliable source, (and posted it on here) that Boruc would probably be goin, purely financial, I also said that Mcgeady will only go if a stupid offer for him comes in 11m plus, and I stand by that (lennon actually said today that he won't go for less than 12) Hinkel, same again I was told he was off, we'll take 1.5–2m for him, he'll prob go back to germany, the only one i'm not sure about is McManus, I was under the impression he would stay, BUT, if an offer of 2.5m comes in i'd assume they will take that, nothing less (maybe 2m plus appearance money)
As for replacements, I'll stand by what i said with Campbell, Lawrence coming in, ledley should follow. Forget about Petrov and Bullard, won't happen, it's pretty much what I said a week to 10 days ago, and it all looks like happening, there has been paper talk of other players, but take that with a pinch of salt, Sol, Lawrence and Ledley, are the key ones, but there is also one other (allegedly) on their Radar, don;t have a name, but should be revealed/signed over the next few days.

Arsenal..
Hopefully Chamakh and J.Cole will be Arsenal's only Attacking options on the summer. Chamakh adding the needed physical build and Height and J.Cole bringing alot of experiance and skill to the squad. That should be it. Its obvious from last season where the improvement is needed and this should be sorted out, it shouldnt matter how much it costs. Arsenal have the money and it should be spent. I'm expecting Wenger to sign 3CB's and a DM. We're all expecting Gallas, Senderos, Silvestre and Campbell to leave on Free Transfers. Koscienly, Mexes and Richards have all been strongly linked and hopefully replace them. Djourou is like a new signing since he was out for the whole of last season. A solid DM is also needed. Maybe De Rossi, Flamini, Mbia who also played alot of last season with Marseille at CB would all do the job. If any of theses changes are made, Im sure Arsenal will win something next season.

11 Jun 2010 15:25:37
Keane to sign on initial 1 years loan at Celtic. Expect the deal to happen when Keane comes back from Italy on holiday. End of the month at the latest. Also Expect Marc Crosas to return to spain as Espanyol have shown an interest in his services, a deal in the region of 3.5m euros may be agreed.

I got it all wrong then

I seen that Harry Kewell was fit, and harry is an ozzie, and ozzie ardilles used to play for spurs, Harry redknapp is the manager of spurs, but has been linked with the liverpool job,
So I thought with all the money Harry has syphoned from the clubs he's managed, and left in debt, that HE was going to buy spurs, make himself manager!

But yours makes more sense, damn, I just wish I could read between the lines properly!

I am NOT, I repeat NOT a Liverpool fan (Arsenal in fact). This is big news for Liverpool fans. I don't know how true this is but if it happens, Liverpool will be a force once again..(probably not on Man City level but up there with the richest clubs).

I have a very close friend who works in a top legal firm in the City – cannot say more than that for obviois reasons. He told me that the following is fact and he knows this because his firm are one set of lawyers involved. He isn't in the direct team dealing with this but is on the periphery. The following is what he told me:

Liverpool takeover is all but complete. Due diligence was done between Feb–May, and officially closed 28th May 2010.

Legal contracts have been drawn up and most of the negotiations are complete – having started during the latter part of the due diligence process (key sticking point is about the contractors to be used for the new stadium build) and future payments to Hicks and Gillette.

He wouldn't tell me who the buyer is or where he/they are from. I harassed him on this one but he said it will be revealed soon.

Expected announcement is end of June.

Benitez left because the new owners did not want him. A new man has been identified, approached and agreed in principle to join. Apparently it is a big name in world football but obviously not Mourinho. My guess is Van Gaal or Rijkaard but that is just a guess.

A list of transfers in/out has been presented to the board. No deals will be signed in or out until the takeover is complete even though discreet enquiries have been made.

£40m offer for Aguero rumour is true although this could involve a lower price and Babel.

No other transfer targets were mentioned but expect to see Torres and Gerrard stay. They have known about the negotiations for ages. Both agreed to stay if Benitez left and new owners came in. Hence both have refused to comment on their futures and used the World Cup card to bat of all questions – they wanted to see if the takeover would happen and if Benitex would go. The latter has happened. They know who the proposed manager is so I guess they are happy with the appointment.

I'm not a Liverpool fan and have mixed feelings about the above. Part of me wants it to be true so that Liverpool continue to be a big club in world football – good for the English game. The other part is intensly jealous!

Come on you Gooners! :)

And so it begins.

As I said the other day – wait for lunchtime and just after for the beginning of the end for H&G. The news will break SLOWLY – and you might need to read BETWEEN the lines – but it will be there for eagle–eyed viewers.

OK, I THINK I SAW IT..HARRY KEWELL PASSED FIT FOR AUSSIE! JUST HAVE TO LOOK FOR THE LINES THEN MAYBE I CAN READ BETWEEN THEM..LOOKING AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW – Eagle Eye

To all who say Liverpool can't afford to buy Aguero rumours on mersyside are that Liverpool have accepted a bid from Intermilan for Monster of £32 million and have bid £40 for Aguero.Liverpool have £80+ million for transfers this summer plus sales this is from sponsors and sales from last season.reasoon benitez left was that he wasnt allowed this money the board felt he would waste the money and gave him a vote of no confidence
how do i know this you think ;)

The inside man"

The money from Standard Chartered is £80million over 4 years, therefore £20million per season. They wouldn't pay that amount up front and when the new sponsor was announced Christian Purslow stated that the money would be used for transfers over the next 4 years, not all in one go.

Would be nice to have £80million for transfers this summer but it aint going to happen without a new investor who's got a lot of money to put in to the club.

Anyone have any actual news on the Liverpool manager's job? From the press it's looking like the King may well be returning to his throne. It could be the greatest thing ever to happen to the club or it could result in all those fickle football fans and journalists out there slating a true Anfield legend the moment we make one slip up! Any thoughts?

How do you know what you have stated to be true?
Wishful thinking probably, although we would all be happy to see him play at Anfield.
Perhaps the "inside man" name refers to you being in a clinic for insane dreamers

Darren Ambrose certainly did not pull out of the deal with QPR, the blocking of that transfer was one of the provisos of the CPFC2010 bid to buy the club.

The new board have since announced that the doors are SHUT. No–one else will be leaving the club whatsoever, unless Paul Hart decides they are not part of his plans.

Ambrose is thought to be unhappy to have missed out on the payday QPR were offering but has said he's fully committed to moving Palace forward next year.

No such thing as a 'true' rumour mate. If it was true, it would be fact.

However, Aguero for around £30–40 million from Athletico Madrid to Chelsea is certainly a possibility.

All the LFC rumors on here are utter BS. No manager, no targets. Every manager has different targets so LFC board will wait for a manager. About takeover, people said the news will come today. We will see.

I keep reading about an LFC press conference scheduled for this afternoon. Why make an announcement during the World Cup opening ceremony and be a news footnote? If there is to be an announcement (which I seriously doubt), the timing could only be an effort to bury bad news.

I also keep reading about planes arriving in the UK from the Middle East, obviously meaning that LFC are about to be bought. We did in fact have air travel to and from the Middle East before LFC needed their latest saviour, and will probably do so in the future.

I also keep seeing claims that H&G have been removed and that the banks are running LFC and / or forcing a sale. If this were the case, the writs would already be flying around like confetti given the amounts involved, and yet nothing. It is still business as usual, with H&G carrying on until the TV deal eventually breaks down and clubs can negotiate their own deals away from the Premiership. Could be a long, painful journey.

Leeds United's next target is Darren Ambrose. If the player is willing to move back up north to leeds it would be a big lure for darren.

I don't think this is likely to happen – He recently signd for QPR.

i dontthink so he backed out of it to stay at crystal palace to asses his situation so he still assesing which club he would be able to progress in his career with.

Well all the people sayin cardiff can't buy players is rubbish now the tax man has been paid so u stick all that where the sun don't shine.

But we could be signing andy griffen and tonge in the next couple of weeks, cardiff for top 2 next year :)

bloooooooooooooooooooooooooooobirds

The payment of the tax bill has wiped out the "investors". They have no more money unless big Vinnie Tan decides to invest. In another week Cardiff will be back to square one and unable to pay the staff or players. Unless Vinnie comes on board, Cardiff are screwed – again. And this time they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.

11 Jun 2010 12:55:01
West Brom to sign Stephen Hunt, expect this deal to go through within the next week, more good business for the Baggies!

Daviebhoy

Was just having a laugh to myself about some of your posts. The only thing that is making me grin more than that is you starting the new season with the same duffers you had last season. Neil Lennon is going to make you a laughing stock. Hope you are prepared to relive the John Barnes Era!?!?! You would need a complete clear out and an entire new team to even make a dent on the Gers next season. Fingers crossed you will make the Uefa Cup places next season but it will be tough!

Now back to reality with some Rangers news.

We are only going to make 3 signings 2 of which will be free and one will be sub £1m but we have a TEAM who will give all for each other which will help us romp the SPL again!

Billy Boy!

11 Jun 2010 12:46:26
For everyone saying cardiff have no money you don't have a clue. we started by paying of our tax bill. the new owners have said that they don't want the play off next season after what happened this year, and that a top 2 finish is our aim.. the only way we can do that is by getting 4/5 quailty singings.. bellamy koumas gabbidon tonge austin anyone hered of anyone else?

LATEST ARSENAL TRANSFER

Arsene Wenger look at a winger to replace Andre Arshavin if he goes to Barcelona. And the player is Steven Pieenar from Everton. Wenger also interested with Joe Cole to back up left side position and also attacking midfielder. For defender, Wenger still finding the best last man, as a rock like Tony Adams.

The easier to understand, I conclude that Wenger only need 2 CB, 1 Winger/Attacking Midfielder..

11 Jun 2010 12:13:45
MASSIVE, HUMUNGOUS AND QUITE FRANKLY THE BIGGEST NEWS OF THE ENTIRE WORLD– NO, THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE EVER

All clubs, especially top flight ones, are not going to be making any thing more than preliminary moves – eg enquiries etc – until the end of the world cup.

Even if such and such a player is going to your club, at this stage NO FEES WILL BE AGREED. Furthermore, to all those guys whos best mate is a kit man/grounds man/agent/'man who faxes important paperwork to other clubs' (a classic football–rumours quote, I'm sure you'll agree)/man who bumped into Lionel Messi in Stockport, these are all made up or untrue, as these people do not know. Players are not going to tell you what happens because the clubs have confidentiality clauses; the transfers can and will be cancelled if word gets out.

(^ All this info was told to me by my mates cousins cleaners family in Bulgarias window cleaners sons mate, who is best mates with Dmitar Berbatov, who will be going to Leeds, like all the great players of the world (except from Messi, whos going to Stockport). Obviously. (No offence to Leeds fans in particular, just the first club I saw with ridiculously deluded expectations. Don't worry, until last month, my team, Newcastle, were just the same. We're realistic now; we only expect Champions League football in 2011–12, not a domestic treble.))

Basically the point I'm making is that all these rumours are, to use a hugely underused word, codswallop. Go and do something useful, like watching France v Uruguay this evening, my tip for an upset. Odds of 11–4 in the Guardian, I think from Paddy Power. Get yourself a tenner on that immediately.

Hi guys just a little bit of stuff iv heard from a few decent sources at wolves. Aaron mokoena will be signing from portsmouth after the world cup and tommy smith maybe as well. Ebanks blake is 80% done the deal to go to blackpool. So mick want 2 more strikers as well as a winger if smith doesn't come and a centre midfielder. From what i gather the bullard hunt double capture is slowing down with hull wanting almost 7 mill and wolves thinking more 5mill 5.5mill and lawrence prefering scotland(even he will look good there) so celtic being most likely.
So other possibles. A swiss striker from fc twente blaise nkufo for around 3 3.5mill has been looked at . Also andre ayew who would cost a considerable amount more who can also play right midfield.
Micks 1st choices havent been too fruitful yet either being out priced or unrealistic price tags but a few will come in but few will leave too.
Surman in sheffield discussing deal to united will certainly happen

11 Jun 2010 12:04:13
Blackpool have made a second offer for Stoke defender Carl Dickinson.

The left back had a successfull loan spell at the seaside, but has failed to make headway in the Stoke side this season.

A first bid of £250,000 was turned down flat, but an improved offer belived to be nearer £500,000 has now been lodge.

David Goodwillie WILL sign for rangers this summer.(The reported £750k offer is wide off the mark. it is my understanding that rangers have offered £1.75m up front with add ons that add upo to £3.5m depending on appearances/performance) I know for a fact that this lad is a rangers fan and would jump at the chance to work with Ally McCoist.
Celtic WILL sign joe ledley when he comes back from portugal and expect the deal to be done before the pre–season trip to America.

Spurs close to sealing the signature of Kevin Doyle from Wolves in £8 million deal. Charles N, Zogbia also close to joining in Redknapp's only major signings. And so it begins.

As I said the other day – wait for lunchtime and just after for the beginning of the end for H&G. The news will break SLOWLY – and you might need to read BETWEEN the lines – but it will be there for eagle–eyed viewers.

Remember – Hicks CANNOT deny any more bids because he IS NOT involved. The RBS have REMOVED the owners from the equation because they want LFC sold on. Do not listen to a word Hicks might say – all the £800m and a year away stuff from him is bluff – pure Texas Hold 'Em. THis is a man who has lied constantly about his US franchises and LFC. Hicks is a braggart and is universally disliked across the business world. Trust me on that.

To the person who suggested LFC have been in administration for several weeks – you are close. Whilst NOT in administration – running of the club HAS been taken over for all intents and purposes by RBS. That's why Purslow and then Broughton came in. Purslow to help the Yanks find investment and Broughton after RBS had lost patience with Hicks. That is a fact.

So keep watching Reds, keep the faith and remember what I said. It will begin with a whimper and end with a bang. Enjoy.

RBS and Wachovia have in fact offered to extend the line of credit to Hicks. I hope this puts an end to any administration/forced sale rumours.

11 Jun 2010 11:37:36
Chelsea will sign Wesley Sneijder and Mesut Ozil immediately after the world cup. Forget Kaka, Torres or Aguero as the club don't want to pay over the odds for anyone. The likes of Bruma, Sturridge, Borini will have bigger roles to play this season and the same applies to Kakuta, Hutchison, Van Aanholt and Cork (loans permitting). Name for the future Conner Clifford!

11 Jun 2010 11:30:31
Any realistic Watford rumours?

No point in saying that we are going to splash out 600k odd on a player as we don't have that kind of money to do that.

ARSENAL NEWS !

ANOTHER REMINDER TO THOSE FALSE STORIES

I been informing this website for days about the facts regarding Arsenal's transfers. Despite this, it is clear people either do not read what others say or are simply naive to put their fantasies forward.

A FINAL reminder.

THESE PLAYERS WILL NOT come to Arsenal this season.

1. Buffon (GK) World class yes, but simply too expensive for Wenger sadly. Wages the problem.
Also, Wenger wants a older GK for 2 years max hence Shwarzer link .

2. Richards (DEF) Wenger did consider him a fe years ago but not recently. No basis of this ongoing rumour, just wishlists by some people here.

3. Yaha Toure (MID) Wenger had a trial for him years ago and concluded he is not wanted full stop. Obviously some papers are linking x, y, z to Arsenal but not true. Also why develop Song and Diaby if Toure was wanted. Please think about logic and facts before casting wishlist here.

4. Joe Cole (MID) Wenger was not interested at all. Although, last week this slightly changed due to the free aspect. Man Utd are favourites. From my source, THIS IS NOT happening at this stage as Fabregas will stay. Whether Goal.com or any other outlet says otherwise.there are no deals full stop.

5. Cahill (DEF) No chance at all so please stop wishing this to happen folks. Too expensive anyway.

6 Gourcoff (MID) Why is this player continually being linked? No basis at all. Wenger knew about this player years ago and could have got him for 5 million so why pay 18 million now?? Please think folks. Fabregas now staying unless Barcelona throw 50 million plus.

NOW FOR SOME ACTUAL developments.

1. Stephen Ireland (MID) Wenger has admired this man for 2 years now. Box to box and highly committed player and young. Typical Wenger wish. A possibility.

2. Van de vaart (MID) Wenger likes him and he is proven international player. However, a lot of clubs are chasing him so a long shot at this stage.

3. Mexes (DEF) A player Wenger likes and is now available in theory after 2 years. 50–50 at this stage although wages are yet to be agreed.

4. GK issue is not clear as yet. Scharwer is the first choice now.but other are being explored and I have no facts on this one as yet.

My source is confidential hence I have to be respectful.

THE TRUE INSIDER !!

you are an idiot. joe cole is a done deal, how many sources do you need to tell you this before you stop listening to your pizza boy source.

gourcuff is an "only if" option. defensively i have nothing except kosciely. so u may be right with the cahill stuff. yaya toure is going to happen independant of the fabregas deal. arsenal are negotiating, but unless barca flinch its dead. they will try and sweeten us on a fabregas deal by showing how to sell a player for less than their value.

He's already signed lad!! Haha.

P.s. I get the impression the editor is a red. Why advertise the scum? Money isn't everything mate.

Davey Bootle {editor's note – the ads are set by Google, I don't see what they are on my view of the site, unless people tell me I don't know they are there sorry. If you give me the url of the advert (it will be shown under the ad itself) and I will block it immediately, though I believe it takes a few hours to take effect so you will have to bear with me. I agree totally on the money thing, I really don't want to give them any advertising space whatsoever. So anytime you see ads from them just send me the url, either through the rumours form or contact form, and I will block them.}

"as for the idiots who talk about chopra going to ipswich and whitts to forest heres the truth WE HAVE HAD NO BIDS OFF EITHER CLUB !!.so get real, and i don't think ipswich could afford chops 25k wages a week!!"

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but this is totally wrong. Keane has confirmed his bid to the media, although there has been no word as to how it has been received.

As for Whittingham, and I'm a Forest fan with sources, YOU offered him to US, as part of a swap deal for Earnshaw, and we're considering the offer, currently negotiating who, if anyone, will get cash with the player, and BOTH players are thought to be very keen on the deal: Earnie to take his new son closer to family in Wales and Whittingham to have a shot at promotion next season with a side closer to home.

Been reading this site for years but this is my first post.

I am a LFC fan who reads to find out anything regarding my club. Recently I have read a lot of contradicting rumors on the site. One half of the rumors seem to suggest that the club has been sold and everything will work out. The other half seem to suggest that the club is doomed.

One set of rumors I have read with interest talk about a LFC press conference today on SSN. I am glued to SSN to see whether these rumors have any substance. If not evident I will be really dissappointed in the guys/LFC fans who have come up with this.

However, one article which makes me believe that a takeover has happened was published on the Football Italia website. The article describes that LFC are very interested in speaking to Marcello Lippi to become the next LFC manager. In the article it specifically says that it has been lifted from Gazzeto Del Sport. The most interesting part of the article is where it says specifically that the 'new owners' would like to replace Rafa with Lippi.

I hope this turns out to be true regarding ownership. I would be happy with either Lippi or the King back in the hotseat.

Would love to see you come up with a link for the Lippi story. I have looked and can't see one anywhere.

And so it begins..

Enjoy..

All come out over the weekend?? Why then has it just been announced that the 1.9m has been paid to HMRC! Real problems eh?? Also how the hell can a league 1 club with a transfer embargo in place possibly pay 20k a week in wages to anyone!!

Forest are close on Pratley and Whittingham who are both keen on moves to the midlands. Also Shorey is 50/50 and there is talk of a bid for Beattie but nothing concrete yet.

Charlie Austin to Nottingham Forest. Terms already agreed. Although a good signing Forest fans will remain concerned at the continual lack of defensive signings. Nicky Shorey or equivalent is a must, as is retaining the signature of Kelvin Wilson and Chris Cohen.

For the Guy that quoted, Carlos Costly may be a cheap option for Rangers, providing he doesn't have a great world cup.

You have no worries there as he is not in the final 23 man squad for Honduras.

11 Jun 2010 10:53:40
Not so much a rumour as a conscious thought. I hear rumours of the Ellis takeover of Rangers being backed by a former Leeds Chairman. Could the Delay to the bid be that of Mr Ridsdale, relinquishing control at Cardiff?
Poor Rangers if so!!

ARSENAL NEWS !

ANOTHER REMINDER TO THOSE FALSE STORIES

I been informing this website for days about the facts regarding Arsenal's transfers. Despite this, it is clear people either do not read what others say or are simply naive to put their fantasies forward.

A FINAL reminder..

Whether Goal.com or any other outlet says otherwise..there are no deals full stop.

Scharwer is the first choice now..but other are being explored and I have no facts on this one as yet.

My source is confidential hence I have to be respectful.

Leeds squad update for 2010/11 season

Players Out
Ankergren
Michalik
Marques
Sheenhan
Robinson
Kandol
Beckford

Players In
Schmeical (All Free)
Connelly
Paynter

Possible players in
Central defence much needed!!
De Merit, O'Brien, Dawson or Manlenne (loan).

Left back's (Depending when Parker gets 100%fit
Spur 80%, South African LB?, or loan lowry again?

Central Midfielder (Experience needed or quality youngster for now and the future, will cost though)

McArther or Doyle take your pick? Knowing KB Doyle will be cheaper, hope he goes for McArther.

Left midfield possible loan again but remember Johnson started like a rolls royce last season scoring lots of goals.

Centre Forward
Silva, Sharp, Hooper or Hulse?

With the 3 new players already signed the team is already younger and are better replacements in positions. The next 3 or 4 are key to success though as they are all Central positions, Defence, Midfield and Centre forward. Depending on who we bring next will be the key to promotion or not?

Does any one know if there is any transfer news involving Tranmere please??

11 Jun 2010 10:25:00
Arteta will sign his new contract; Donovan and Ben Arfa are both targets and could (both), be brought in for £8 and £10 Mil respectively.
Yobo is currently subject to several enquiries from Prem and other leagues in Europe, £4–£6 Mil, I read if he leaves, he is likely to end up back in France.

Yakubu, won't be sold for £7 million being offered, but don't be surprised to see a deflated price reported and a player come the other way, could be Upson, who like most can't stand the double act in charge at West Ham (great club, idiot owners)..If he goes, another striker may be brought in, no indication of who at this stage (Saha, Beckford, Silva and the promotion of Agard is that enough..)

John Heitinga has again been spouting off in the press about moves away from Everton, so be it..It is all spin on words, but he seems to be a serial mover, so a good world cup and an offer the other side of £12, Mil could well see him on the way..

Oh and a message to the Ed..If you are going to pick folks up on spelling and grammar..It's source and not sauce or sawse (Arfa, Afra..meh)

Don't thank me – NBtB

PS Thos two Jockos having a straightener on here (Jag & DavieBhoy)..Sorry we don't speak jive! {editor's note – a bit different someone not being able to spell, to someone claiming to have knowledge but unable to spell the player they are talking about.}

Leeds United's next target is Darren Ambrose. If the player is willing to move back up north to leeds it would be a big lure for darren.

11 Jun 2010 10:04:00
Leeds United won't be spending big this summer and you can understand Bates's caution given our recent history, and we will rely mainly on frees and loans. however the situation is not as bad as some of the unsubstanciated hateful and jealous pish that is put on here. Given the amount of quality players who have just ran out of contract and our excellent relations with prem clubs for potential loans, I'm quite content with not splashing out. There are also a large number of international trialists at Thorp arch, fair enough most will be rubbish nobody's but if even one can replicate the form of Becchio, then excellent. Grayson has been given £800k for a striker and this is proving a stumbling block for Hooper offer. SG also has a further £1m to purchase a centre mid and centre half.

Ins
Tommy Spurr
Simeon Jackson(cheaper option)
Craig Dawson

Loans–
despite rumours, no specific targets have been identified. Leeds will be looking for a winger, a striker and defender on loan. I would guess from Arsenal, Man Utd or spurs.

POSTMAN PETE HERE.

Insider news is Ath Mad recieved a substantial offer from Liverpool Football Club for Sergio Aguero. They have according to sources close to the club rejected the offer out of hand. I believe both clubs will be working hard to keep this away from media. It also looks like the spainish club will wait to secure a mega offer after the World Cup.

Ok Humber Jag, tell me, when was the llast time I came on in the morning and "announced" a new Celtic Signing, I haven't added any new player to the 3 that i named last week that should sign??

So are you able to answer that for me, or will you be like the rest of the Non Celtic supporting Glasgow ones on here, and avoid the question?

Bringing back the thunder

p.s a Jags fan slagging me off, your team is simply a mini Rangers, can't afford to keep your best players, i.e Tuffey, Maxwell, etc. and how many senior players on the books? 13? or are you gonna include recent school leavers Shaun Fraser and Jordon McGrotty as first team squad members. Take a look at your own team before dishing out the slaggings

"Theres always been the houses with the boarded metal windows across from Ibrox, behind the astro–turf parks. Ellis wanted that land as well as the park to re–deveop into houses or a hotel or whatever. Murray bought that land when the casino deal was about back in 2004 i think it was. He bought the remaining land when he wanted to redevelop Ibrox and the surrounding areas after the Uefa Cup Final. This is likely to be apart of the deal as it is in the interest of all concerned. There are few people living there now and would be good for the Commenwealth games so the council would probably allow planning permission fairly happily."

I presume you mean Skene Road and Rhynie Drive? Both of these have new built housing on them already and the as yet undeveloped land is earmarked for more housing. .

The editor states "RED LENIN
{editor's note – just one problem mate, Warnock is a left sided player, not right!} and is of course quite correct and it is something evryone knows and also one of lifes mysteries as to why he was released in the first place being as he was highly regarded and had outstanding promise and was probably one of the best young players to come through for a fair few years, but that was actually one of the things that was being mentioned strange though it sounds. Perhaps Rafa saw him as a utiliy full back who could play both sides. Certainly Rafa had a notion that on the flanks left footed people should play on the right and right footed on the left hence his continual playing of Babel out of position and even swapping Rodriguez from time to time and on at leasta couple of occasions I can recall even Kuyt. He aslo had a habit in training of swapping players from one side to the other.

June is the month for sorting out freebies because most contracts run out at the end of the month. So for LUFC only expect the likes of Russell to sign with possibly one other surprise up Grayson's sleeve. Then expect O'Brien & Spurr to follow with small fees being involved! The key position that needs filling is centre midfield so expect the unexpected there! As for any big signings Hooper and Sharp will prove too much in demand and too expensive so cheaper lower league / continental options will be looked at! MOT!

LFC NEWS

Just got in from the pub were I have been chatting to an old football mate of mine who is an agent and he has told me that LFC tabled a £38.5 million bid for Augero of athletico. He is has been told by this person that the offer was straight cash in a one off lump sum. Augero and his agent will be given time to consider this as Athletico are willing to accept. He has also been told that bids for James Milner, Ashley Young and Steve Warnock will be made, as well as Scott Parker. He said he was GOBSMACKED!! By this information but said that the person works within the LFC ranks. He is unsure were the funds are from given the situation at the club. He has also been told that King Kenny desperately wants the manager's position so much so that he is trying to show his worth in attracting Joe Cole to LFC instead of Arsenal or Spurs, and will get involved in the other English player deals. He said that Kenny really wants to show that he hasn't lost anything and can be the man to steer LFC back in the right direction.

Now before you jump all over this people, I am as surprised at what I heard as to what you have just read!! My mate isn't a liar though so although I take things like this with a pinch of salt, I do believe him when he tells me this. He isn't saying deals have been done just that bids have and will be made. Make of it what you want! My mind just keeps asking where the funds would come from if we have not been taken over yet. Any suggestions people??

He also told me when he was outside the pub he saw a UFO and some flying pigs

Macca,

What kind of friend sells his mate out like that??

As many other people have pointed out, there is little point in concluding any transfers, especially those involving big money, prior to the World Cup.

Given the imminent change in management and prospect of a takeover, I find it hard to believe he would agree to a move so early in the summer. More likely is that he will wait to see who comes in, then make a decision after the World Cup is over.

Anyone can claim to be friends with anyone else. It doesn't give your STORY any more credibility.

He may well move, but I doubt you'd be the first to know and at the moment I'm betting that Gerrard himself isn't sure what the future holds.

To the guy who says he hears that Lee Wallace is a Celtic fan – you need to clear your ears out. There was a burst of posts on this subject a few weeks back. I know how it looks when somebody says "I know his cousin, .." or whatever. But I do know Lee's best pal and phoned him to clear this up for myself. He told me Lee was a Hibs fan when he was a wee boy but has played for Hearts for so many years now he's as Hearts daft as any fan. I think his dad might have been a Rangers fan – but Lee doesn't support either side of the Old Firm. I also posted previously that I heard from a different source that Hearts are doing all they can to find a buyer for Lee behind the scenes and Birmingham and Middlesbrough were approached. McLeish thinks too big a move for him just now. Strachan remains keen.

Liverpool Fans – Dalglish is expected to be named the new manager, the fans choice will be unveiled by Wednesday next week.

Expect a very quick work in building has back room staff and three signings which will not raise any eyebrows but hopefully will work out to be astute going back to Liverpool of the late 70's.

Targets are:

Tomas Necid CSKA Moscow, for an estimated 5 million, Dalgish has watched Necid in recent International matches and has been impressed by his 5 goals in 13 matches and his scoring rate for CSKA. The lad has bags of potential and experience in Europe too.

Micah Richards is the second target as Man City look to step up their rebuilding under Mancini and Richards is not making the grade in Manchester. The cost Micah will depend as the third target is Stephen Ireland who is being chased by Spurs. Liverpool are believed to be tabling a bid for the two estimated at around 18 million.

The sad news is Mascherano will follow his former manager to Italy which will fund the above moves.

Other fringe players will be offloaded to cut the high wage bill and behind the scenes rebuilding is being carried out to ensure Liverpool are a power in the future as the owners over estimated price will never be met.

Torres, Gerrard & other key players are all on hold until after the World cup, Dalglish is held in very high regard by all the players and would be a firm choice for the next manager.

Lucas!? For 21 million!!? You're as big of an idiot as your dad if you believe that!! Anyone who has seen him play knows he isn't worth 2 million let alone that. And why would rafa want him back, he was shocking this year.

Anyway, the mighty Birmingham are poised to sign micolli (excuse spelling) and two midfielders. That will be it for big eck unless he spots a hidden gem at the world cup. Hopefully not though as they're usually a waste of time!

Come on England, do us proud!

Comrades!

2 interesting Liverpool rumours persist on this site. I shall comment adding what I know.

Stephen Warnock. Rumours of bids for him persist and have become more pronounced in recent weeks. It is true to say that there was a belief within the Anfield set–up that Kuyt should be sold, Johnson moved up to right–mid (he is fast and can cross the ball and is attack minded), and a new first choice right back sourced who can overlap. Warnock does fit that bill hiwever this was thoughts two weeks ago and more under Rafa's regime.

Sergio Aguerro. Again it is true to say that Liverpool have shown interest in Aguerro over the past two seasons but have been scared–off by the price and the fact that Athletico want it in one chunk, up front. Likewise it is also true to say that Aguerro has expressed a liking of Liverpool in the past (as well as Chelsea). I have doubts and fears. We have not got the money and we have no first choice place for his style of play – neither a midfielder nor a stricker. The fear I have is that we do have exactly the right place for him and the money – if Gerrard leaves.

In response to Fox:
"To all evertonians i hav'nt been wrong yet. [..] Ben Afra deal may be a big possibility if he dosnt have an outstanding wc and price himself outside our budget."

Well there you're wrong: Ben Arfa will not play the world cup. ;)

Manchester united news

looks like vidic is set to leave manchester united which will see him join up with ronaldo at real madrid, utd looking to swap rather than cash in as fergie sees no value in the transfer market. van der vaart and benzema likely targets. simon kjaer is linked as a replacement for vidic which man city also linked which will no doubt put the price much higher than his valuation.

as a man utd fan i would be gutted for arsneal to lose cesc as it seems the power shift is heading to la liga after kaka, ronaldo etc all playing in spain and EPL loosing stars. come on premier league!!(still most competitive league though)

Lucas isn't ste like you idiots make him out to be. Yeah, 21m is a ridiculous rumor and I hope you had your cheap laugh. He's adapting quite well to premiership life, is a very quality true CM and i hope he stays a lynchpin of my beloved Pool for years to come, along with Shelvey.

Now for some Liverpool rumors I've heard around, and maybe some wishful thinking.

1. Mascherano won't move despite the reported problems his family has with settling well in England. He should not move for less than a 30m value, and seeing as how he would want to move to a Spanish speaking country (read Spain), only two teams would be willing to shell that cash out in Madrid and Barcelona, both of whom have a plethora of players who play centrally in the midfield.

2. Rafa may convince Jovanovich to join Inter on a Bosman because it was him who wanted the Serbian Snake in the first place. Up to the player, but I'm all for having depth for striker and midfield and hope he stays on his dedication to Liverpool.

3. Dalglish is supposedly withdrawing from the managerial selection committee and throwing his hat in the ring. I wouldn't mind, he's a legend and did very well back in the day.

4. Mata rumors seem to have pittered out, and I never rated him to light up the EPL anyway.

And a message to all you muppets posting on here– Players who are PLAYING IN THE WORLD CUP WILL NOT SWITCH CLUBS DURING SAID WORLD CUP. And no team will want to sell during the World Cup, because really, a good performance can skyrocket a players price.

YNWA, overlylegiiiit.

I play for the Chelsea youth team and rumours going around the club are that we have offered 10 million plus lamps in exchange for Kaka. Dont expect the deal to happen till after the world cup.

CELTIC FANS!

Calm down to a riot. The board are playing for time with T Mowbray & back–room staff. S–J Reid admitted the club was paying for two managers, N Lennon & T Mowbray. If T Mowbray takes another job, & other back room staff, then they don't have to pay comp. Simple, damage limitations of business practice. During such times as they are, nobody has expendable income. The botton line of which is the fan base. Therefore, forget Craig Bellamey, Robbie Keane, etc. Don't be suprised if they limit the budget aim lower than the Championship. The books must balance. Celtic learned the lesson. Rangers will make cut–price signings, but goodins, Walt's wise that way. Now, unfortunately Rangers are in a mess. Not a time for gloating, fans of both, but, a time to realise you need each other. The Catholic –V– Prodestant rivalry went out with shell suits! Hold a thought for your fellow man. Not his Colours.

I remember being a Celt fan when we nearly went to the wall.

Yours, Requesting Consideration.

My dads mate told me that lucas is going to inter for 21mil

– 21 million!! what currency?? your dad's mate must be LOL when he sees this. Although i'd love this to happen but it will never gonna be 21mil dollars or pounds. Rafa will only try to get Lucas if he fails to land Masch.

rumours
Masch + Kuyt > Inter for 35–40 mil pounds (very likely)

asianreds {editor's note – someone asked for people to make up rumours of Lucas going to cheer him up, I am sure that was an answer to that!}

11 Jun 2010 02:51:56
Heard from Gremio's main Agent, that ex player Lucas Is mulling over a decision to join Inter Milan with Javier Macherano. My guess is to form a 4 man cm partnership of 2 defensive players in cambiasso and macherano with a box to box Lucas and Sneider the attacking option.
However Lucas sin't sure to leave Liverpool as he finally feels he's winning over the fans there also he's finally settled in the area.

£8 mil upfront with addition possible 4 million upon next 3 years of stipulations.

If u believe what you read in the papers:

Ellis and his consortium won't clear the debt completely as they would rather provide Smith with a larger transfer budget, allowing the Champions league football money over the next few years to pay off any remaining debts. From the 34million or so debt, perhaps 20million will be paid off – this is likely to remove any worries over the bank running the club. The main clause in the deal other than investment is that Ellis maintains the plans for Mccoist to be the next boss.

Rangers are expected to be handed around 10million to spend, rising to 15million if mcgregor, wilson and bougherra all leave. Nugent and Smith are the names that many are using just now, but Smith is 30 soon and rangers don't want to pay the 2million needed to get him for sumone who has passed their best. Nugent will probably want to stay in England but rangers would jump at the chance to get him if he wanted to sign.

Alexander, Broadfoot and Thomson are all expected to sign new deals in the next few weeks. Carlos Costly is said to be on cheap but a good world cup may scupper a deal. He spent time at Birmingham on loan a few years back but is in South Africa with Honduras. Mark Reynolds is a target but only as backup to webster and weir if wilson leaves. Ewan Chester, rangers lead scout has been seen in manchester quite alot since january and this has put alot of the papers talking about loan deals. Fabio is the only one mentioned so far (The Sun i think it was) but i doubt SAF would let him leave as this could be his year to challenge Evra.

Goalkeeper targets:
Tuffey (thistle) – only if mcgregor or alexander leave

defensive targets:
Tony Capaldi and Gregory Vignal are free agents, so one could be signed to challenge Papac and replace Smith who signed for Norwich – Lee Wallace (hearts) is also a name that goes about but i hear hes a Celtic fan but then that hasnt stopped players before.
Reynolds from Motherwell would be free
Miguel Flano is said to be a target from Osasuna for around 2million
I think much of rangers financial efforts defensively will be to keep Bougherra and Wilson on long term deals but time will tell.

Midfield targets:
Mcaurther's name is always about but Wigan seem to have first rejection on him.
Kyle Beckerman could be brought in for around 1million.
Wingers are rangers priority this season.
Poulsen could be brought in – he was a target in january bit the deal fell through last minute. They may go back for him. Cohen from Notts Forrest could be looked at but may prove expensive (not really a winger – a bit like play davis on the wing).
Vargas is a previous rangers target too. Hes a Chilean U21 winger (dont think hes at the WC) and rangers may also go back in for him.
Kris Commons is always a possibility and then theres the the chance of Chris Eagles too. These are likely to be too expensive tho but are said to be Mccoists favoured signings. With Mccoist being the next boss, any transfers made are likely to be passed by Smith AND Mccoist

Peace Out

Steven Gerrard has not spoken about leaving Liverpool for Real Madrid as some media have reported, he will decide his future after the world cup and is likely to stay if Dalglish is new manager. Hicks will take as long as possible (upto 8months) to sell the club until he gets an offer around £800m. Two perfectly suitable offers around £500m said to have already been rejected by Hicks.

11 Jun 2010 00:53:12
For sheer entertainment and fantasy can someone please post a rumour involving Lucas on a big money money transfer out of Liverpool. It will be of ironic comedy value if nothing else.

11 Jun 2010 01:04:09
As everyone knows by now, Rangers are pretty certain to be bought over within the next day or so.

The guy who got shot down over his accusation about Ellis wanting the land is actually more or less correct. Theres always been the houses with the boarded metal windows across from Ibrox, behind the astro–turf parks. There are few people living there now and would be good for the Commenwealth games so the council would probably allow planning permission fairly happily.

If u believe what you hear on Clyde1, Ellis' benefactors are a former Leeds Utd chairman, A Quatari businessman and a Dubai millionaire. Dont get too excited though, their not in the same league as Mansour who owns Man City, but rangers will be in a more stable position.

Hi to all the Lfc fans, i can confirm that Gerard is most certainly signing for Madrid. It is almost certainly done, sad times for us all. I hope he is the only one to go but i believe there are a couple more. All the rumours about the takeover are a long way off. The info i give is 100% true, you have my word i am a genuine friend of Stevie G. As it stands he is gone. Remember the name, as soon as i have info i will post it on here. Macca

Hey there,

I've just had a quick look at the daily record website and theres an article saying that ELLIS'S Consortium were near collapse last night and it seems that ellis is struggling to find the funds to buy Rangers. Every paper has a different story, What the hell is going on, are we ever going to get this matter over and done with. HAS ANYONE ELSE GOT ANY NEWS ON THIS ?

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Hey Joe, I wouldn;t be surprised if they are both announced same day, but if not, then I think Lawrence will be first, followed very closely by Campbell, and hopefully Ledley when he returns from protugal

Just a little more info on O'Brien, he actually holds a 2.87% stake in the club, and he is big in the telecommunications and media world (owns around 40 stations throughout europe) also has a huge fleet of planes which he lets to KLM, South African Airways and a few more. SO as i said he does have a pedigree, as well as a love for Celtic.

YNWA TIM S!

To all notts forest, donny rovers, barnsley or any other green eyed supporters keep your eyes on your own teams instead of coming on Whining about Leeds United and who they are or aren't signing because it goes without saying that your teams don't have a patch on us through achievements alone get a grip M.O.T

Hi there mate. Would just like to tell you that you are an idiot, Leeds are a worse side then them three, and that will show this season. Thank you.

As for rumours about decent CCC sides, Austin to Forest is a cert.

Austin is not going to forest when there's premiership sides looking at him such as that class act Blackpool

I did mention Jealousy and you've proved my point nuff said

10 Jun 2010 23:56:37
Right, first things first, can all Man U supporters please stop saying you're going to sign Angel Di Maria. It's 99% certain that he's going to Real Madrid. Perez has said he wants him, Mourinho has said he wants him and Di Maria said today "I will go to Madrid if God wants me to." So unless the man upstairs gets on the blower to him and says "Nah." then he will not be going to Old Trafford this summer.

Also just read that Benitez is looking to take Milan Jovanovic to Inter, which could happen as the Serbian hasn't signed anything with Liverpool yet, and did say the reason he was joining the Reds was Rafa. Hmm

And as for this Aguero thing, I can't see anything anywhere suggesting Liverpool have made a bid, so if anyone has a link that would be super. But what I can say is it's not beyond the realms of possibility that he would decide to go there given the opportunity. Before he went to Atletico he expressed what a huge LFC fan he was, and said "I have been a Liverpool fan for as long as I can remember and it would be a dream to play there. I watched the Champions League final and celebrated every goal as if it was for Independiente." So if Liverpool can somehow afford him, the only thing stopping him would be lack of CL football for a year. But he is young, so he might not mind. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Um, hello, we have no money?! Plus Dorrans is not worth that much (and the Fat One wouldn't pay that much anyway. How many pies could you buy with 6 million? Enough to feed his sweat shop workers, but actually that's just his afternoon snack), plus Spurs don't like us as we 'tapped up' Hutton supposedly, plus Smith is about to be made captain (its between him and Kevin Nolan) plus Tamas Kadar is highly admired by Chris Hughton, who wants him in the team or at least on the bench, plus one of Krul or Forster is going out on Loan, to Leeds and Norwich respectively (although only one will happen, or neither).. its not looking good mate.
