LFC Rumours:–

hold on people lets get a few things crystal clear!

Any Villa or Man utd fans coming on here spreading rumours shud button their lips. At the end of the day Parry was right to say that Villa are being too greedy (and i dislike Rick Parry), barry is a good player but not 18 million, not in the current financial climate! I respect martin o'neill as a manager but really do think that the transfers should be handled by someone at Villa who knows how to do business. i.e. If im selling a car and set a price and state publicly that if that price is not met i wont sell, can i then criticise people because they dont meet my valuation?? it is ludicrous, thats not negotiation that is simply sharp practice and dont blame liverpool if they go and buy someone else! I just feel sorry for G Barry cos he is at a club that wont win anything this season, under a manager he no longer respects and the fans booed him depsite the fact thaqt he has spent most of his adult life churning out performances for them when he was their only decent player!! oh how football has become fickle!

I hear that Rafa is now lookin at Joe Cole, a better and younger player for less money, go for it Rafa!!

Hearing also that Villa will sign a new deal in spain but has agreed to join Rafa at end of next season (similar thing happened with Torres). Villa, Torres and Keane next season! the tremors will be felt all the way down busby way!
I have just seen Diego Tristan in Grove Park in Newcastle being shown around the apartment that Peter Ramage used to live in. I live directly opposite! Not sure if he's what we're after.
I can assure you that Gus Poyet was in the director's box for Ipswich v PNE, there was even a photo of it published in the local press.

I'm not saying he was scouting, all I know he was there
Carlos Cuellar will sign for Aston Villa today after undergoing a medical. 7.6 million pounds is the deal. Newcastle are also in for Allan McGregor who has a similar get out clause in his new contract. The Barcodes will need to bid 8 mil to pry him away from Ibrox though. This is from the person that first told everyone that Miller was going back to Gers, so it's ALL FACT.
Richard Dunne has been seen at the Britannia Stadium today
  Rangers News

After Carlos Cuellar was sold to Aston Villa Ally McCoist has decided enough is enough and walk out of his coaching job at Rangers.
Cuellar will go villa. The release clause is 7.8mill. This deal has been done for some time. Expect loovens from Cardiff to arrive soon. Tho if him or bougherra do well they will prob get flogged next year.

Steven davis will hopefully now sign tho if he doesn't Paul ince is waiting in the wings to snap him up. His heart is set on rangers as he's a bluenose. Along with davis will be a flair player for the midfield most likely on loan.

Celtic won't make many more signings. Expect a left back as naylor is desperate to go south. It won't be anyone major.
Maloney at Murray Park today. Cuellar money will also buy Davis & Loovens. Softens the blow of losing Cuellar slightly!!
On top of the current signings made by Keano, Sunderland’s hierarchy have been working hard behind the scenes trying to secure the services of several players. Keano issued a smokescreen last week by saying there's a possibility of no more incoming! According to my contact within the SOL, Sunderland fans can expect up to 6 new players to add strength and depth to the squad.
All black cats know what areas we need to strengthen, so it won't surprise you that Keane is looking at:

Defensive Options
Leighton Baines LB (approx £5m)
Anton Ferdinand CB (approx £6m)
Michael Dawson CB (approx £5m and seen by Keano as a player he could mould into an England great)
Jonny Evans CB (Keane is willing to spend big if need be on this guy as he rates him to become a top, top player; or loan if that's all SAF will allow)

Midfield Options
We are quite strong in this area, esp with Edwards and Richardson returning to full fitness. However a need for a defensive midfielder and a flair player are still needed, so expect moves for :–
O'Hara on a loan deal from Spurs, Thomas Graveson (nominal fee) and Stephen Hunt (just before the window slams shut with Reading currently just looking to sap an inflated fee for the player). However, the most surprising names of all that are entering the fray are Juninho from Lyon for £12m or McGeady from Celtic for £10m.

It's clear that Sunderland are short of quality up front. Keane is weighing up bids for Saha (although I heard bad news about medical checks), Kevin Doyle, James Beattie and wait for it. . Samuel Eto'o of Barca. I know I was shocked when I found out, but a bid is being prepared as we speak. If that fails then a bids for Adriano of Inter, Saviola of Real or Milito of Zaragoza may be considered. They have £50m for players, but to fund these purchases they need to offset the wage and buying structure by selling a couple of players:
McShane
Whitehead
Prica
Chopra
Kavanagh

Jazz the SMB
With the exit of Rangers centre half Carlos Cuellar to Villa, Rangers are set to sign Villa player Shaun Maloney who recently fle into Glasgow
Expect also Glen Loovens and Lovenkrands to be signed before SAturday to prevent supporters protests
Keegan eyeing real mallorca pair oscar trejo (cf) and juan arango (am) maybe even borja (cm) as well although keegan well stocked with cm. warnock deal will go through soon with smith heading to blackburn to sweeten the deal.
To all you lads he keep claımıng Eıdur Gudjohnsons comıng to your club thınk you should know theres a bıg feelıng ın the Turkısh press that hes hoıng t Galatasary. Also good to see a few lads on here have pıcked up on the Alonso to Fenehbahce story I posted on here a few weeks ago. As for the scousers who thınk LFC are about to shell out 21–24m for Sılva or 21m for Cole I can only presume theres a partıculary strong batch of LSD doıng the rounds ın Merseysıde cos you have not got that kınd of cash.

Jermaine Pennant will complete a move to Blackburn in the coming days for 5mil.

Steve Finnan has a lot of teams interested for 1.5mil.

Liverpool will use this money to help sign Gareth Barry for 18mil. Liverpool have agreed to make this bid after Barry told them that they can reduce his wages by £5000/wk to what Liverpool were originally offering.

Liverpool will re–sign Antonio Barraghan for 1.6mil.

Their last summer move will be for Matias Fernandez who they will take on a season long loan for 2mil and have the option of paying a further 5.5mil next summer to buy the player.
I actually do work at the emirates stadium in the players and family lounges and anyone who says they get rumours from there are liars i try and talk to wengers backroom staff and they dont tell any 1 anything in response to devoted aresnal fan you are right we need a new centre back, quality winger and good defensive midfielder u forgot to add though we should replace almunia he is a liability. One thing I can tell u though after speaking with some of the backroom staff is don't expect too many new faces
Man Utd to sign Zlatan Ibrahimović this Friday. Fergie thinks he fits the bill perfectly and cant believe that the press hasnt gotten wind yet. . You heard it here first!
Update from my mate the scout(ex lower league player, now works with clubs in the north west)
First off, Dunne and Ireland to Stoke ?
Not happening.

Henry to Manchester(I was originally told to the Blue half)Not going to happen, he was in talks with City but recent "fiasco's" have scared him off. A return to England is possible but not in Manchester.Been told Pompey but find that hard to believe myself.

City to sign Santa Cruz very soon as he has asked for a move, Rags to move for young talent rather than big names(probably call them acadamy products too)
More to come
The Gareth Barry transfer to Liverpool could still go ahead but Liverpool need to sell to raise 10m owners will give them 8m. Also Liverpool will sign Jakub Blaszczykowski (A.K.A Kuba) out of the blue from Dortmund. Benitez will also look to sign James Milner in January.
Calderwood is looking at fringe premiership strikers who will not get a look in initially with their club to bolster our strike force until our own strikers have recovered from injury. . Marlon Harewood is his first choice and he has held positive initial talks with Martin O'Neill but is being made to wait until O'Neill has sorted the Villa squad first
West Bromwich Albion will sign Daniel Sturrdige on loan until the end of the season. Very reliable source .
Also to complete moves to the Hawthorns will be Kris Boyd.
Other signings will be Daniel Gabbidon and ZHeng Zhi
Berbatov will sign for Newcastle before the end of the month. You heard it here first.
Liverpool and Everton will go head to head in rival bids to try and price michael johnson away from eastlands. He is most likely to join liverpool.
Bolton will take Kriztian Nemeth on a season long loan from liverpool.
Cuellar will join aston villa for 7.8million later today.
Jeremy Menez will join Liverpool for an initial fee of 5million.

YNWA
Barzaglia or however you spell it plays for VFL Wolfsburg. . . Zapata is not for sale by Udinese. . joaquin distribution is poor and would stiffle the development of walcott. . .quaresma salary would carve a hole in the wage structure. . .Joe Cole cmon there is no way that Chelsea will sell him to us. . . .Arshavin. .hmmm decent player but was too easily played out of the game by Spain. . .using a physical approach. . silva already stated that he wants to move to barca several times if he was to leave valencia. . .leaving menez. . being the most likely player to move. . difficulty is price associated with him and the fact that monaco already sold off a large proportion of their squad from last season. . . . can i just say that big price tags dont always bring results. . wenger has a policy and he is keeping to it. . . .so please enough with the we are going to buy every player under the sun rumours. . . .wenger has stated rightly or wrongly that he feels we require 1 more midfielder. . if we sell hoyte that may mean we need a defender to and then we will see who he goes after. . . .I would go for Richards of Man City myself not a rumour as such but I know we aint got the cash. . if Hoyte does go then more than likely we would see another academy promotion. . the norwegian defender Nordveit most likely. . . . .
Dear Devoted fan of Arsenal. .

I totally disagree with ur option except on buying arshavin or Nigel de jonk. Mr Wenger should brought in a classy defender like Big D (Tony Adams) instead of m/f. Gallas is a big question mark with his decision making. . Another issue that i want to rise is Adebayor. He should leave if he aint happy at Arsenal. I dont believed he will score 20+ goal. Wenger should go from Huntelaar.
In response to the devoted Arsenal, i totally agree with you. I've been watching alot of the pre season and we have a good squad but in my opinion not strong enough to win the prem or even the champs league. Nasri is a good signing but we need another pires and viera. When we were winning titles we had an experienced squad with youngsters coming through. I don't know why Almunia is no.1, why does he play Eboue on the plank and why is Senderous still there? I think Barry is a good player but not 18m worth. If Wenger bought some experience then Arsenal would be challenging. I predict a strong campaign but not strong enough but it all depends on the signings that Wenger makes before the 31st. Im praying Wenger and the squad prove me wrong.

Come on you GUNNERS!!!
Man Utd are going to sign samuel eto'o fergie is a genius when it comes to the transfer market he has already struck a deal with barca star and would be the ideal candidate to play upfront as he has the technical, physical and mental ability to hack through the premier league
As the transfer window draws to a close it is obvious names are going to get thrown around. with clubs like newcastle, west ham, middleborough, do not be expecting much as the signings will be average to say the least. Chelsea are pushing for robinho and that deals looks more probable as the days go on. whether scolari will risk loosing an english fan favourite in joe cole is another story. joe cole has been one of chelseas/englands most outstanding player. but if he risks loosing joe and florent malouda then it is possible chelsea may push for kaka too with his and scolaris brazilian connections.
If your an arsenal fan then this season could be one of the most exciting yet. People keep questioning his buying policy of young talent, however the players he has brought in (samir nasri, bischoff, ramsey) have the talent to blow the premiership away this season. It is true arsenal would benefit greatly from the capture of possibly 2 new players. .One experienced central midfielder and an experienced Central defender. Names are being thrown around but i can tell you the ones that wont be arriving at the emirates. Barry will not go to arsenal as it is clear that the only club he is willing to play for is liverpool. The more probably players to arrive are Xavi Alonso who is craving to play free flowing first team football. Inler is possibly the most typical wenger signing as it is a relatively unknown player who plays for a lower team than arsenal yet has great influence in that club. Therefore wenger will bring him into the emirates and nurture his experience. It is less likely they will buy a centre back due to arsenes faith in gallas. More interestingly arsenal could push for the capture of Yaya toure who would slot into arsenals plans and become a Viera figure. Arsenal are always written off but this works in there advantage, too often their talent is underestimated and it will show this season. .

At liverpool the signs look promising but they really need the capture of Barry to find that complete central midfield partnership that will benefit england and Capellos Barry, Gerrard revolution. David Silva could be a perfect signing for rafa as he is young, dynamic and has high ambitions. however Valencia are still standing firm against the reds and will only accept a cash + player exchange for either silva or david villa. This season could see the emergence of liverpool and arsenal to really put the heat on. with arsenals flowing football never in doubt it is down to liverpool and rafa to form a good 'playing' team with his current set of players( something that has been lacking at anfield )

The new season looks bright for these teams

Peace out x
Yakubu is growing increasingly concerned about the outlook at goodison. If David Moyes fails to put pen to paper on his new contract, Yakubu will want out. Whispers have already filtered north and reached King Kev. The Geordie boss, a long term admirer, has made it known that if the Everton target man becomes availiable, Newcastle must get their man. Should the Yak leave, Everton's attacking options will be very limited. AJ has headed south, VA away on olympic duty. This is why Everton continue to pursue a number of possible replacements up front. Alan Smith has been closely linked recently, but other possibles include Benny McCarthy, Michael Owen, who could head in the oppsite direction to make the deal go through, Moutinho & Lois Saha.
Devoted Arsenal fan– Barzegli joined Wolfsburg in germany weeks ago, and you should stop reading news papers, xabi alonso to arsenal? thats a no go. and you want arshavin at arsenal? why? he had 1 excellent game and 1 good game at the euro championships and all of a sudden you have him down as great. We do need a defender and a goalkeeper. sell senderos to newcastle and get taylor in exchange
Do not panic Newcastle fans, as Coloccini will sign within 48 hours. Also Owen and Steve Harper will sign new contracts. Also after Coloccinis arrival 3 more players will be added, they are:
Stephen Warnock (£3m) Blackburn
James Harper (£5m) Reading
Scott Sinclair (£5m) Chelsea – cheap but there will be a 50% sell–on clause, meaning 50% of any sale will go to Chelsea
Sold:
Smith (£3.5m) Everton
Ameobi (£2m) Hull
Fulham have made a bid of 6M for Inter Milan CB Rivas Nelson Enrique Lopez. Rivas only started 19 games last season, and would like a move to improve his chances of becoming a regular for his country.
Plymouth Argyle are set to swoop for Man City hotshot Daniel Sturridge on loan. The deal will initially be for 6 months.

Paul Sturrock is also after James Brown Of Hartlepool, a talented right sided midfielder.

Lastly Sturrock has had a bid for Leo–Fortune West rejected.
Crystal Palace are negotiating with Hereford for their striker Steve Guinan. Guinan is higly rated by Warnock and a fee in the region of £150,000 is being mooted.
I have absolute trust in Wenger but i would like to see him buy maybe 3 more players, a central defender either Kompany or Zapata, then a midfielder preferably De La Red due to Cesc and him having played together in the Spanish team or Inler. Also a winger/striker would be brilliant maybe Arshavin or Pirlo. With them Arsenal could do the treble.GGGGGGUUUUUUUNNNNEEEEERRRRRRSSSSSS
Right, why is everyone so down on my beloved Toffees? Its hardly our fault we havent sold out to overseas investment, and whilst it would be nice to see a 100 million warchest every summer, it would not be nice to see your chairman broke and in exile a la man city. Players are secondary at goodison ath the moment as we only care about one signing. . . David Moyes. Reading one guy goin on about Moutinho to the toon and Everton once again losing out to them, like we did on Parker and Emre, which were real quality signings who repaid their tranfer fees. ho ho. If he goes there good luck to him, he`ll probably lose his spot in the portugal squad. I think he`ll come to goodison to be honest, along with a few others, M`Bia, and michael Johnson and it seems Vagner Love who I dont know much about. I cant be bothered bad mouthing other teams. I can wait till may and then we`ll see. Dark days at goodison? Doubt it. If Moyes starts the Blackburn game with 6 kids, its because he believes they are good enough, and if there is anything truer on the blue half of Merseyside its, IN MOYES WE TRUST.
Alan McGregor won't be going anywhere this summer anyway.
Broadfoot, Dailly and cousin will all leave and Charlie Adam will also leave on loan.
Ins will be either Berra or Loovens, Gary naismith is also said to be looking forward to linking up with former scotland manager walter smith, and in midfield a defensive holding midfielder will be signed along with 2 of Pearson stewart and Davis along with Dean shiels of hibs.
Anoybody wonder why Carlos Quellar signed for Villa ahead of Spurs? Newcastle? Liverpool? al tell you why, because Sean Maloney is at murray park today training with Rangers coz we we need a creative midfielder, and he is just the man!

watch this space!!

forever blue!

We lost the league with cuellar, but we will win it without him this time!!
Tottenham have offered Luton Town the chance to take their 3rd choice keeper Ben Alnwick on loan for the season in League Two. Alnwick previously had a spell at Luton last season and is not currently needed at Spurs with new keepers Gomes and Sanchez first and second choice resepectively. If either gets an injury however Alnwick is likely to have to return to Tottenham.
The move should happen on Friday morning with Alnwick set to replace Dean Brill in goal for Saturday's fixture away to Gillingham. Meanwhile Dean Brill is attracting interest from Doncaster.

I have this from a reliable source that Gareth Barry is now only 3rd choice on LFC's list.
I heard that Joe Cole the player who Rafa wants most. If they sign him then that'll be the end of the summer spendings.

if they can't get Joe cole, the second option is Johnson from ManCity plus a wide attacker (don't know who tho)

So Barry is the fella they'll go for if the other two options fall through – and expect him to play mostly on the left for his first season (until they offload a CM) if he does sign.

I'm told LFC have in the region of 20mil (ish) to spend, so don't believe the clowns on this site who all think LFC will sign every megastar in europe!

by the way, I'm a Norwich fan (4LYFE) so I wouldn't bother making this up.

NORWICH4LYFE YEAH
This is in reply to the 'devocted' Arsenal fan. I'm a devoted Arsenal fan, and yes it does get frustrating a the lack of transfer expenditure by Wenger. However, Arsenal are the team they are today because of Wenger, he makes World class stars, and retains the integrity of the club amongst all the 'big spenders'. Personally, id rather see us as the team we are now, than (not to mention any names) a club that buys copius amounts of average players hoping for a diamond in the rough, or simply a club with a Millionnaire boss who's like a kid in a sweet shop simply pointing at what he wants.

Okay, we've lost several key players, but trust Wenger, we have established talent to come back in Rosicky and Eduardo, young guns in Diaby and Denilson, with fresh quality in Nasri and Vela.

It is frustrating, but remember that we are who we are, and what we are because of Wenger; a club full of youth, talent, and integrity, with a unique playing style and bags of potential.

With regards to transfers; only a defensive midfielder looks to be on the cards, possibly Xabi Alonso, Inler, or maybe even Veloso. But who knows, its not easy to predict what gems Wenger will uncover.

Dont you just love all the rumour talk at the end of August???? firstly, quaresma is not going to liverpool, mainly because he has a 31 million euro buy out clause which liverpool cant afford and porto dont need the cash so anything lower will almost definatly be rejected. Inter have all but signed him though this could take a while as Jose wouldnt mind losing a few faces before the start of the season. I would be very surprised if Man utd dont aquire Berbatov by the end of august. Ramos would been keen to have some money left for January and the money he would get from Berbatov would be more than enough, and Ferguson knows this, this is why Man Utd are declaring an interest in various other strikers, they are trying to force tottenhams hand. I can say with huge confidence that Gullit will not become fergies number two, he has just purchased a house in london (the yank tabloids pointed this out about 2 weeks ago) so i would put my money on him becoming the next QPR manager, nothing against Dowie but i can just sense that he wont be there for long term. lawsforengland
Joe Cole is on the verge of a shock move to Liverpool. Chelsea are poised to accept £15 million for the 26 year old left sided England player. Upon finalising a Cole deal, Rafa Benitez will try and sign Gareth Barry as well for around £16 million, only if he can sell Xabi Alonso for around the same price.
=v1=
Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has told Darren Bent he is now his first choice striker ahead of Dimitar Berbatov amidst speculation that the Bulgarian striker is on his way out, with Manchester United and Barcelona reportedly interested.
=v1=
Manchester United could be set to bring in Adriano in what would be a surprise move from Inter Milan. Ferguson is also keeping tabs on Thierry Henry, Dimitar Berbatov and Klass Jan Huntelaar.
=v1=
Real Madrid are keen to bring in Michael Ballack and Klaas Jan Huntelaar ahead of the close of the transfer window adding to Rafael Van der Vaart.
=v1=
So the Barry deal is off and yes I believe too that LFC will move for J.Cole as scolari made two moves, one for robinho and one for Kaka(the biggest signing if goes through). With the selling of pennant, arbeloa, and finnan liverpool will probably move for rafinha as well and thats all! 2 more signings nothing more.Silva will only move to barca as well as villa who doesn,t want to leave spain.that,s all for now, the Greek LFC fun.
