Rumours that Fulham will look at signing Stewart Downing and Darren Bent early in July. I can only see Stewart Downing being a loan if we are unable to clinch a deal for Wolves' Bakary Sako.

Still searching for a central midfielder to pull the strings. Building a very good squad though.

Bent might be interesting, at least, which certainly can't be said about Downing.
Sako is decent but not really essential this year - what we need most is a midfield 'boss' and a classy 'whippet' up front, to compliment Berba.

Sako will not go there as fuluham are red hottttttt faviourtes! sizzle

Wolves fan here, Sako could play behind a striker or forward, he is quick enough. But as a winger he is a one trick pony who can often leave his LB prone as he does not like to track back.

Downing going nowhere

With a combination of Italian newspaper reports and G0ogle translate, I can reveal that there are negotiations with Cagliari for Davide Astori from Southampton and for Nainggolan from Spurs.

There are also lots of reports link saints with Gonzalo Bueno, who from what, I've read and seen, seems to be a similar sort of player to Steve De Ridder, and by that I mean, very fast and skillful, but lacks the final ball. However I expect Bueno to be a much better player, just a similar style, he is also much younger and has a very good goal scoring record. I'd put money on him being saints' first signing.

There has also been a lot of reports linking saints with lovren, although I expect that only one of Lovren and Astori will sign.

Shaw, Guly and Ramirez are going nowhere and have all spoke out
about there desire to stay if people actually read into these things

Southampton will bid £8million for Valencia midfielder Ever Banega - in the SUn

Astori has been one of the most documented people of interest we have had in years lol. Bueno looks fast but all the videos I have seen suggest he is lacking a lot of physicality needed for the league. This could cause problems

Luciano Becchio is wanted by QPR and Wigan as their current strikers will be moving on both clubs believe he can get the goals in the championship to fire them straight back up. He has a good goals to games ratio in the division.

Millwall will sign Rory Donnelly from swansea early next week

Hope so he looks good!

Who? We Need To Be Signing Proven Goal Scorers Not Potential Stars & Other Teams Scraps

Is lafferty that bad?

OK mate, if you can give me two names of proven goalscorers that are willing to come to Millwall & they would want at least 20-25K a week or more? Can we afford that? If the RD info is TRUE? then at least give him a 'CHANCE? SL must know the player! Or do you want Lafferty?

How much would Simeon Jackson want to play for us?

Donnelly can't be that bad as Brendan Rodgers signed him! He's down the pecking order a bit because obviously being in the PREM Swansea want 'READY MADE' players that's all!

Donnely is a proven goalscorer

As for Lafferty if he signs for another club I won't shed any tears! We've had Rangers fans on our website & they said he's a big 'GAMBLE'! & he wouldn't get his 'BIG HEAD' through the dressing room door! Move on lads! COYL

I think that one 'DECENT' striker is probable all we need atm. Simeon Jackson would obviously be most peoples 1st choice but wages of maybe 20+K a week what do Millwall want? Apart from him SL could try Donnelly or Madden? We still have Keough & some decent youth players! Just need a 6ft 2-4inch target man!

13 Jun 2013 22:37:37
everton after playmaker Honda

Doubt they could afford him

13 Jun 2013 22:02:42
Burton to sign vardy from Leicester on loan

I doubt that, but if it is true bring it on

We should have signed him from Halifax a couple of years ago when we had the chance!

Keeper Jonny Maddison has signs a permanent deal for Crawley Town from Sunderland after a successful loan spell last season.

Successful? He was on the bench every time!

Happened end of the season. 1 year deal

Dannie Bulman returning to Wycombe Wanderers-good luck Dannie-did us proud

So Crawley have been giving it the big one that big signings were due by today at the latest. ? Was there a deadline for season tickets or something?

Dury deal done this has been confirmed by crawley observer crawley have lost interest in matt tubbs with sanchez watt on the way to the broadfield keep your eye out Dury deal done and watt deal almost done

Crawley will never lose interest in Tubbs. He'll always be a local legend. If the immediate ambition is to increase the gate, CTFC will be missing a trick if the opportunity to resign him is allowed to pass

Don't disappoint the crawley massive. get tubs signed

Lost interest? Only one of the recent rumours feels like one of the promised "exciting" players! And, it's not Watt.

Danny's going nowhere

Watt no good dury yes-as usual no deals

Would put 500on gate

Danny Bulman and Sergio Torres will both leave Crawley Town this week as Barker looks to re-build a side with his own players and staff. John Bostock and Andy Drury will both sign within the next few days for sure and maybe Sanchez Watt. But there's no chance of Matt Tubbs coming back due to his high wage demands. A right back still remains Barkers main concern and he is currently talking to a couple of leading Championship clubs with a view to taking a couple of highly rated young defenders on a season long loan. Kyle McFadzean is also looking to move back up north with Steve Evans preparing a bid to take him to Rotherham

Wages shouldn't prevent Crawley signing Tubbs. He would put more than 500 on the gate. With bettet PR he could help Crawley to get closer to regular capacity

Gary johnson is set to raid hearts for 3 players as hearts are willing to sell any of their players one is rumoured to be callum tapping

13 Jun 2013 21:42:09
Swansea are trying to do a deal for 3 espanyol players. The players are defender Jordi Amat, midfielder Wakaso Mubarak and striker Christian Stuani. i'm being led to believe that the club could get all 3 at around 6M.

The first 2 would be good signings. Young with promise. Not sure about the striker not a great record could be a second striker from the bench. Could be another shetner

Sounds like a reasonably good deal. Not sure how good they are but who knows.

13 Jun 2013 21:34:02
Leeds are looking to sign
Reece wabara
Ed upson
Matt mills
Kevin doyle or Anthony stokes
Noel hunt

13 Jun 2013 21:01:52
Swansea City are in pole position to sign Nathan Redmond and they also want tom ince

13 Jun 2013 20:53:21
With Hearts FC putting the entire squad up for sale, it is likely that SL will bring in a player from there most probably Andrew Driver to replace Chris Taylor

Driver plays in mls now

Driver has agreed a pre-contract with houston dynamos. doublt SL will look at any hearts players

Driver is on loan at MLS but his contract is up with Hearts this month.

13 Jun 2013 20:24:16
ribas from genoa, perch and coloccini from Newcastle to fulham

I would love Coloccini but don't know who Ribas is.

I hope not. In terms of both costs and talent, none of these 3 are what FFC needs or wants for the coming season

13 Jun 2013 20:21:33
some Everton rumours:

jaroslav drobny from hamburg

franco di santo from wigan

14 Jun 2013 08:34:41
franco di santo will be a free agent as of june 30th

Di Santo is a free agent since being released by Wigan, major backward step

Why would Martinez want di santo again? didn't do much at wigan, I would rather have mirallas than franco (wafc fan)

13 Jun 2013 20:47:11
Adam Lefondre to sign for Celtic to partner new signing Balde?

Hooper for Norwich

If Hooper does 'GO' Le Fondre would be an ideal replacement! A natural goal scorer! He rarely misses! COYCELTS!

Funny that Celtic fans think Le Fondre is an ideal replacement. Speaks volumes about the quality of Hooper. he belongs in the championship/spl

The only way you will get Alfie is if we get Hooper in exchange.

13 Jun 2013 20:35:50
Spurs Scott Parker and Tom Huddlestone will sign for Fulham

Where has this information come from? Would both be great signings, but not convinced FFC would go for both financially?!

Don't rate Parker you can keep him.

Can't afford them.

We're not spending that big on one player.

Bent will be the most expensive at 4-6m.

13 Jun 2013 20:30:30
Portsmouth fc are looking for striker number 5 with possibles of akinfenwa or Calvin Zola also signing Ricky Holmes and looking at Luke Rooney

Akinfenwa is NOT on Pompey's radar. Northampton got rid of him because he costs too much and Pompey aren't going down that road again.

13 Jun 2013 20:23:10
Serious rumours concerning a possible move to Ipswich Town for DJ Campbell after his highly successful loan spell and how much he impressed MM during his time at the club.

I understand Ipswich need a proven goalscorer but with Nouble, McGoldrick, Murphy, Marriot and Taylor in the squad. oh and Chopra. I think Ipswich need to sell Chopra and loan Marriot and then bring in Simeon Jackson, Campbell or Ebanks-Blake.

I also heard butcher, mills and wark

13 Jun 2013 20:22:53
Southampton set to sign astori at last as Atkins is ready to take fonte to reading for £2m
Also talk of fox going to Blackpool in part ex for ince or phillips

13 Jun 2013 21:13:48
will happily part ex Mat Phillips for Danny fox

Fonte will not be sold, if any defender was going to be sold it would be Hoover because if we sign another LCB, it's harsh to bench him but Fonte definately has a few years in him yet.

Rubbish why would we trade a forward/winger for a left back. We already have harris and crains if he signs his contract. don't make up rubbish

Could see hooiveld going to reading for 2 mil, not fonte. he was excellent in the prem mostly.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fonte goes to Reading, I like him and would much rather see Hooiveld go but Pochettino seems to prefer Hooiveld over Fonte for some reason! I think Hooiveld will be our last resort CB next season 4-5th choice depending on whether Fonte goes and if we sign 1 or 2 centre halfs

Adkins don't you mean

Because we'd have £6m to buy another attacker!!

If saints wanted to, they could buy a 30 million attacker. Don't underestimate Cortese or the Liebher Family. Most Club owners don't choose to invest a lot of money into a football club. Saints being one of them in the recent pass but in this window don't be surprised if Saints bring in a 10-20 million Defensive Midfielder, a winger or even a striker. (Remember Cortese's ambitous plans as the Liebher family said before this transfer window opened).

13 Jun 2013 19:23:53
arsenal have made an inquiry to anzhi for defensive midfielder odil ahmedov.

13 Jun 2013 19:11:56
danny redmond wigan ath could be on his way to aston villa or wba talks when returns from hols so I've heard from club insider

Nathan not danny {Ed003's Note - Nathan doesn't play for Wigan though}

Its danny redmond

Danny Redmond has only played one or two games for wigan in cup so why would a prem team want an unproved player?

Surely young mean Nathan Redmond from Birmingham. Danny Redmond for us got nowhere near the first team

13 Jun 2013 18:35:53
Swansea looking to sign amat from espanyol as replacement for Kyle Bartley whose going to Birmingham as part ex for Nathan Redmond

13 Jun 2013 20:11:11
kenny miller formerly of cardiff is attracting attention from the championship. blackpool are said to be leading the chase to sign the former scotland international.

C'mon Steve Lomas you can always try & have a chat with Kenny? Still a good striker & worth a try?

Don't do it he is useless at championship level!

Cardiff fan

That's strange if you mean miller formerly of Rangers and Celtic as he is playing for Vancouver Whitecaps at the moment

Sorry, he may have been ok once, but didn't do very well at Cardiff. Even Blackpool can do better!

If we could get him back to his best he would do well

He was awesome against West ham but just chased the game for the rest of the season at Cardiff. that was two seasons ago now, the Championship will be brutal next season, Miller won't cut it

13 Jun 2013 20:01:20
Huddersfield will sign Jon Stead!

Never sir never

Hes off to barnsley or bradford no way will he come back to town so stop with this rumour

No they wont! For god sakes will you lot get it into your heads that town will not re-sign stead!

No way this will happen

Sign him as a boot cleaner that's all he's good for. Terrible player.

Hope so one of best 5 players in championship

At a recent function his father in law confirmed that he is going to Barnsley. Turned down both Sheffield clubs.

One of the best 5 players in the Champ, your having a girraffe mate, he wasnt even one of the best 5 at Bristol

13 Jun 2013 19:40:38

13 Jun 2013 19:36:06
West brom intrested in Carlton cole and franco di santo after there release clarke worked with the pair at chelsea!

Wouldn't mind one of them but not both

Local hack close to WBA says Cole not even a consideration. And I'm thankful for that.

Letting riedy go is very bad news for us,

Clarke says we have enough in our youth squad to come through, if they are good enough they will get in, so who says they are good enough Clarke, who makes this decision because who ever decided our under 21s are good enough needs sacking in the fa, not one albion player in the 21s or 20s, so not good enough for our first team, dawson looked awful with his own age group, so who says he's good enough for albion,

If these are the players we are interested in I don't fancy our chances next season. its the usual scenarion getting players in on the cheap

Cole is not a target for WBA. That has been confirmed by reliable journalist who works as Albion correspondent for the Birmingham Mail.

Not cole he is terrible

Wasnt dawson in the u21 s

13 Jun 2013 19:32:56
swansea have made an inquiry to birmingham over the potential purchase of young winger nathan redmond.

Westbrom also made an enquiry last week

13 Jun 2013 19:20:16
Veteran midfielder Simon Davies who turns 34 this year is an ambitious transfer target for league one side Walsall to replace the departing Brandy

The former Wales international is currently a free agent after his release from Fulham where he played just 20 games in 2 seasons, Davies is looking for first team football before he retires and the league one side can offer him this

Febian Brandy is close to signing a 3 year deal with newly promoted championship outfit Yeovil

Nobody would be foolish enough to give Brandy a 3 year deal.

2 year deal max.

13 Jun 2013 19:03:21
fernando torres is off to the camp nou with barcelona set to splash th cash on the striker

Why would Barcelona want Torres?

Because he's one of the best finishers in the world? Typical bandwagon Torres hater. He had a good season last season and you still slate him.

One of the best in the world? Do me a favour

He isn't Barcelona calibre though, even going by his season last season.

Torres is simply a 'WORLD CLASS' player! & will always score goals! I wish Arsenal would try & sign him! Some hope?

No wonder Torres was influencing Fabregas to stay at The Nou Camp. Did you see them sat cosily together at the press conference the other day?.
Torres hates Man United in anycase from his time at Liverpool.

13 Jun 2013 19:02:34
blackpools tom ince is wanted by caediff, palace and swansea.

The infamous club that is Caediff.

I would think that there are bigger clubs after him than these three

I've been reading that Cardiff is leading the race based on a bigger transfer kitty

What 25 mill that's not a lot in prem as you will soon find out

Our budget (Swansea) was 6 mill when we came up {Ed003's Note - budget for fee's I presume ? }

The only club mentioned who's close to what Tom & Paul Ince want is Swansea (established PL, trophy winners etc) Cardiff & Palace fans you're delusional if you think he'll sign for you regardless of budget.

I think our budget was a bit closer to 10m when we were promoted, if you consider the amount of signings, Vorm 2.5m, DG 3.5m, Wayne 1.5m, Tremmel, Moriera, Moore, Lita, etc.

13 Jun 2013 19:01:50
man city and real madrid are the 2 clubs currently in talks with edison cavani.

He will join Chelsea

13 Jun 2013 19:21:20
hull are set to make a 4th and final improved offer for leicester keeper kasper schmiechel.

And for the fourth time it will be turned down unless its a really big offer say 3million, even then he might not want to go to hull. waiting for a big club to come in for him methinks. jimlcfc

I can see kasper playing out he's contract if no promotion next season i'm sure leicester fans will regret cashing in

14 Jun 2013 13:34:54
I would rather we go for Schwarzer or McGregor anyway. Better, cheaper and more experienced at a higher level than Schmeichel.

He won't join hull!

Alex bruce is one f his best friends, steve bruce is his dads best mate, they used to be neighbours, he wants premier league and you need to cut your spending by £12m - yes £12m! to avoid sanctions. hmmmm something in this I think!

Tigers are signing mcgregor (proven) nobody will pay 4mill for kasper I hope leicester FAIL to get promoted next season then kasper will be gone on a freebee :-) preamier league we are having a laugh utt

13 Jun 2013 18:58:48
Gavin Williams, almost 33, set to sign for oldham on the cheap, as cover for jose baxter through out the season and to give a boost to the experience of the new look oldham side.

He was released by Yeovil so would be free and Oldhams Manager Lee Johnson, son of Yeovil's Gary Johnson has played with Gav before. Could happen!

13 Jun 2013 19:10:01
wba are hoping to do a deal with villeareal for midfielder jonathan de guzman.

True but we want a loan with a view to permenant deal, I think his club want a quick sale.

As a swans fan would be a blow if we missed out on him. Been a fantastic player for us this season.

I believe as part of his loan deal Swansea have first refusal to sign but only until the 20 th June. Apparently Villarreal want €6 million.

13 Jun 2013 19:06:58
aston villa have completed a double transfer wamy with defender jores okore joining from nordsjealland and dutch midfielder leandro bacuna from groinigen.

More young players, I really think villa are going down next year

Okore rejected Chelsea & is probably one of the worlds upcoming top centre backs. Its a massive coup for Villa to get him!
Most of the young players they have signed have Europa League or Champions League experience.

Why is that then. You seen much of villa I think not

14 Jun 2013 13:37:37
Got to be better than Richard Dunne, or signing Bramble. Like the way Villa are going about their business, though they could do with a couple of experienced players in there; hope my team Hull follow suit rather than pick up a load of overpaid and overrated rejects from the likes of Sunderland

Young players such as Benteke and Weimann kept us up last year.

13 Jun 2013 18:45:40
David Weirs first signings will be Evertons Conor Mcaleny, Shane Duffy (loan) also Everton and Lee molyneux of Accrington who was a former goodison youngster. Source from Everton scout.

13 Jun 2013 18:17:35
Garry hooper to norwich by the end of the month

14 Jun 2013 00:01:51
No thanks. We have his twin brother Holt.

But hooper can score and stay up with the ball with out falling over even game

YES PLEASE. NCFC needs new fresh front line. We are behind everyone else in the league when it comes to forwards and as much as Holt has done for us in the past he went missing too many times last year. Only thing missing was goals!

But hooper can score and stay up with the ball with out falling over even game

Hooper is going to stay at Celtic

Hooper would be good, BUT at right price. only year left on his deal, January could be the way to go if he doesn't move elsewhere this Summer.

Agree hooper would score more goals than holt sadly big fan of holt but I think his best days are behind him. hooper scores goals period.

Last season 10 games Holt played in we won, the ones he didn't play in at all we lost, don't underestimate Holt's contribution you don't know what Hughton asks of him.

Hooper to reading

Hope so BUT Holt was fantastic last season. He just got no service. Need him for another year so he can mentor Morris

Great stat about wins and holt
I was going to say I saw several games reading biggest example I can think of were he near enough single handily dragged us to final whistle for the win
calming people urging them to corner fighting for ball closing down tracking back

a new front line - please read my last post on other page and your understand why that's a terrible idea

loosebruce

Ipswich looking to re sign Lewis Price on a free to provide back up and competition to Loach. Contract will not be renewed by Palace now they are up.

Enquiries have also been made regarding Owen Garvan, Liam Trotter and Alex Bruce

Garvan has just signed a two year deal at Palace

What a load of rubbish, a waste of a post! let's just pick all ex-Ipswich players to re-sign. nonsense post

Every ex Ipswich player comin back then eh? I doubt it. Owen Garvan will be important for Crystal Palace in the premier league next season anyway.

Wow those names are a blast from the past #ITFC

I highly doubt that McCarthy would be interested in former players that finished in the lower parts of the table when at the club.

You forgot delaney

Bruce wasnt good enough first time round certainly isn't now

Also heard Darren Bent, Titus Bramble, Shefki Kuqi, Gareth Mcauley and Tommy Miller are coming back. Behave mate and get real please!

What about Alan lee Danny Haynes and Jordan Rhodes

13 Jun 2013 18:32:26
Oldham Athletic are fighting with Bradford City to sign Korey Smith.

Lets hope the latics put some good men on the frontline to get him! Class player when on loan

Not beyond the realms of possibility. 22 now. Not going to make it at premiership level without a permanent move and proving himself elsewhere. League 1 seems likely destination.

Would love him back at Oldham

13 Jun 2013 18:30:31
Bradford City are interested in Charlie Barnett who was released by Accrington Stanley.

No they aren't.

13 Jun 2013 18:28:42
burton to sign Marvin morgan and a unnamed midfielder in the coming days

13 Jun 2013 18:28:01
Hartlepool United, Bradford City, Portsmouth and Bury are all in talks with Ryan Noble who was released by Sunderland.

He better not come back to pools, useless

13 Jun 2013 18:26:59
Royston Drenthe to have a medical at reading on Tuesday after agreeing a three year contract. Source: reading paper

I'm not sure why reading would choose this guy, he's a bit of a trouble maker. However he is a talent, He's predominantly left wing so I can only assume if he's arriving then Hal Robson Kanu will be sold to Cardiff.

13 Jun 2013 21:09:35
Not for Robson-Kanu. Adkins played Robson-Kanu on the right, so it would be in place of McCleary or McAnuff.

Probs for mcnuff we won't sell robson-kanu or mcleary. mcnuff will prob go to leeds

Cardiff came to Reading this evening for a meeting - Did not witness who attended

Er just a point!
I think he'll replace kebe. Who is Norwich bound. Great replacement!

Soz I mean mcanuff not mcnuff lol

No HRK will be staying and playing in a more central role behind a striker or as a striker.

13 Jun 2013 17:42:24
Bristol city have made a 150,000 bid for hearts midfielder, Ryan Stevenson.
Also Gary woods, and the legendary adriano basso are on trial.

Why would we offer that much money for him, when hearts are clearly ganna take a much smaller offer? They have no option.

It has been comfirmed basso isn't on trial!

Thank god we haven't

Nor is Gary Woods -so I guess the Stephenson rumour is just because someone has read Hearts have put their entire squad up for sale.

13 Jun 2013 17:00:24
ed any hull city tranfer news? {Ed003's Note - Not heard anything since the hooper thing mate.}

13 Jun 2013 17:22:22
Martyn Waghorn from Leicester City due to join Charlton in early July to replace BWP

Will be able to afford a player of his age and potential

Good signing hopefully and we need 3 strikers

13 Jun 2013 17:20:49
Gillingham are interested in Peterborough Striker Emile Sinclair.

Posh chairman confirmed sinclair is gillinghams top target for the summer. Payne valued at 750,000, sinclair valued by posh as the same, but gillingham want cash + sinclair

13 Jun 2013 22:18:18
Sinclair out of sorts when on loan at Donny

Sinclair needs to stay put!

13 Jun 2013 17:18:51
York city target Adam Reed has joined Chesterfield on a 3 year contract

Today, Reed turned down a deal from York city and also turned down interest from Fleetwood town and Bradford City

The only thing which makes me doubt this is the 3 year contract to somebody who has only made appearances on loan. He must be ok if sunderland have felt the need to keep him till he was 22.

He was awful at Valley Parade in League Two, so we definitely don't want him in League One, load of rubbish.

Not announced at Chesterfield mate

And why would we want reed? not good enough

Different Reed, didn't play for YCFC at Valley Parade. Top player. won't be signing a 3yr deal. doubt its true

Adam Reed was on loan at Bradford during 2012. He barely made an impact and certainly wasn't missed after his return to Sunderland

Reed was on loan at bradford before previous poster, so he may well have been awful for them!

From a good source at the club this is confirmed. Reed has signed a three year deal which will be announced next week along with three other signings over the course of the week. Bocco however is not yet one of them. If we are to sign him it will be the last signing and only if he has no other, better offers. Ventress

13 Jun 2013 17:14:10
Josip Bašić strongly linked with a move to boro

Everybody appears to be linked to a Boro move but you will end up about 10th as usual

13 Jun 2013 17:13:27
Curtis main, Christian burgess and bryn Morris all off to Hartlepool on a 1 year loan. Main is considered as a prospect for 1st team action at the riverside, but Mowbray is concerned with the lack of action he may get if a fresh face is brought in

He is either good enough or not. Obviously Mowbray thinks not so expect an ultimate exit from the Riverside if this is true

13 Jun 2013 17:03:07
Gareth Barry, David Bentley and wilfried bony all targets for stoke

Bentley is the only realistic one, don't want barry, want bony more than anyone

Then we will start with players with names beginning with C

Would love to see Wilfred Bony at the Brit, but Gareth Barry was a joke made up by The Sentinel to add a comic effect to an article, so I highly doubt your sources

13 Jun 2013 16:57:28
Marvin emnes must leave in this transfer window with rumours claiming he is rejecting the idea of a contract extension, making him a free agent next season

He must leave full stop even if we more or less give him away. He just hasn't got what he takes to make it in English football. Look elsewher easier Marvin.

13 Jun 2013 16:48:14
Declan John and Joe Ralls off Cardiff, both going on loan to Birmingham City. Malky Mackay wants both young talents to get a taste for full first team football. Both expected to be called back in around 6 months.

If malky wanted them to get first team football he would send them on loan to a league 1 side

Good would love this to happen cause they both need game time

These 2 are the most up coming young city fans in my opinion. I have seen them both play a few times and they have outshone everyone every time. Declan John is the new Gareth Bale - mark my words.

Brentford's Clayton Donaldson and recently released Bradley Wright-Phillips look to be on there way to Bristol City. Bristol also seem to be entertaining bids for Baldock, Davis, Taylor and numerous bids for star asset Ghanaian Adomah. Most recent thought to be from QPR.

14 Jun 2013 15:53:58
Sod said in evening post don't expect promotion next season, so city fans looks like we are going down again. Very negative I think from him. is he the right man I say no he isn't. And no very good business go season tickets sod saying that. Dar

Disagree. So'd IS the man to rebuild this club. Need good foundations first and he is doing that.

Never donaldson going to birmingham and we are getting Wright phillips

SoD is definitely the right man for the job, as he has said you can't just throw a few new players in each year and hope for promotion. The club needs a complete rebuild from the bottom up with young home grown players coming up through our academy, instead of paying ridiculous wages for some of the deadwood which we have been guilty of sighning over the last few seasons. let's get behind Sean and the board, I'm sure we are on the right path, we may not bounce straight back this year but we will get back to the championship sooner following the plan. Ida lovitt

To people on here purposely write total rubbish. Donaldson is staying and Brentford are trying to get a deal for BWP.

I don't think promotion is unrealistic, but I am also not worried about haveing a few years down, the best years I have had for watching were always in League 1.

It would be nice to see a few good home wins and top half finish.

As long as we can start playing good football again a year or two out of the championship wouldn't be all that bad I agree sod will rebuild the team well he just needs to be more enthusiastic in press conferences then doubting fans may have abit more faith however did does sound negative when interviewed but that's just him if we started the season with him as manager we would have stayed up

Scott Arfield is set to join Rangers

13 Jun 2013 16:09:13
Cardiff have bid £2m for Hal Robson-Kanu of Reading

How has this news changed to Cardiff, its actually west brom who have made the bid

Cardiff have bid £2m for Hal Robson-Kanu of Reading

Yet he's negotiating a new contract with reading. All seems a bit convenient this rumour pops up during negotiations. Especially as his agent is the same that looks after Alex Pearce

13 Jun 2013 16:06:01
Jack Payne is most likely to be staying at Gillingham after a player plus cash deal from Peterborough was turned down. Birmingham City have apparently offered £750,000 however due to their current financial problems it is unlikely that the deal will actually go through.

Very unlikely, B'ham haven't got 750 pence!

13 Jun 2013 16:05:35
Crystal Palace on the verge of signing Darren Bent as he has been spotted leaving there Beckenham training ground this afternoon.

Hope this is true. Proven goal scorer at Prem level.

13 Jun 2013 20:53:54
There is know way Darren bent is signing for palace. more likely to be Marcus bent. Darren will not drop his wage demands and palace won't pay the money villa want.

I will eat my hat if this comes true!

After leaving administration next week, Coventry City have tied up their first two summer signings, by agreeing 2 year deals with free agents John Cofie and Johan Hammar

Source: Coventry Observer

Let's get this straight sisu are the company that got us into this mess, and now a sisu based company have bought the other part of the club based on a decision by an administrator that sisu employed. It's time for me to sadly boycott my beloved skyblues, my feet will do the talking. Sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu out sisu. What was the point of the forums noone has listened. Tim fisher you are a complete disgrace.

Rip ccfc.

Goodbye coventry City it's been emotional.

Surely, we can do something? where's the spirit of the blitz? hitler coudnt beat us! so are we going to let team tin pot accountants beat us? we need action! can't just give in!

This is football a sisu have got us into a mess playing games however let's not forget acl and the council all three of them have done this why can't they be adults and agree a deal FFS

Rotherham are back on track to sign matt tubs

Hope not. Utm

13 Jun 2013 15:47:24
Gillingham have turned down Peterboroughs offer of cash plus a player for Jack Payne, and Scally has said Birmingham have offered 750k. Strange I thought Brum were skint.

13 Jun 2013 18:57:41
Gills wanted Emile Sinclair as part exchange from Peterborough, but Posh turned it down.

It was Emile that turned it down not posh

Not it wasn't, it was posh according to DMac/Fry

Fry has said that Posh have agreed a price with 2 Div 1 clubs, but Sinclair has turned both down.

The two league one offers we agreed weren't gillingham

13 Jun 2013 15:46:45
Leicester close to completing deals for James Perch, Karl Henry, Sylvain Ebanks-Blake and Nathan Redmond

Expect most of Leicesters business to be complete early, with just others moving away from the club

Freaking hope not son. we can do better than those mentioned. jimlcfc

Redmond will not move unless to a Premier League team.

Shrewsbury town have offered a contract to Calvin Zola who has refused Burtons offer, Shrewsbury are desperate for a striker with only Tom Bradshaw on the books

No chance he's already agreed to join Bury when his contract is up

Why would anyone join bury - poor club - poor fans and poor players

Why would he go to a club who have just been relegated, are near enough skint & have smaller crowds than Burton?

Sorry to see calvin go but bad injury record missed 2 thirds of training sessions in second half of season and many games

The reason he'd move to bury is because they're offering more money. that's how players think. Come on Burton fans get in the real world.

14 Jun 2013 22:10:11
we are not a poor club just had 1.5 million invested in us so if we were poor then why were we saved. our fans are first class and have backed the new ownership with our fans buying season tickets at record levels. in any case we have more chance of signing gianfranco zola than Calvin zola he is too injury prone which is the reason crewe moved him on.

Would be an economical purchase for town as we don't like the transfer fee word!

Near enough skint? where have you been for the past 3 weeks?

Bury FC. Always on the verge of going out of business; sub 2,000 gates; only able to name 2 subs in their last few league 1 games; come on get real, if they struggle in league 2 next season (more than likely) they will be lucky to get more than 1500 at home, that's the reality.

What a load of rubbish regarding that last comment about gates, financial struggles. Had we not been taken over I would have agreed with dark prognosis of our club's plight.

You are merely looking at the stats from our relegation season.

When our club had Alan Knill as our manager our gates averaged out at more than 4500.

In our first season back in league 1 our attendances were over a thousand above Burton Albion's if that is who you support.

The issue with the subs and lack of them was I agree down to an embargo placed upon us by the football league due to lack of funds and having to apply for a loan from the PFA.

Watch us go next season and you eating humble pie.

Bury have new investors , will be one of the favourites for div 2 next season and season tickets are selling fast, we also have the best away support to a percentage of home fans in the country, how can that be poor fans

If you are giving season tickets away at a £100 a time then what do you expect? But hey, let's see how sustainable your business & financial model is over the next few years. If your backers don't get success sooner rather than later then will they hang around? If they pull the plug then what happens, of course, Bury FC back in the mire once again.

Bury FC fans were certainly behind the team last season, an average gate of 2, 678!

Did manage 3, 239 the season before on their return to league 1. Well short of this mythical average of 4, 500 quoted by the optimistic poster above.

I've been a Bury fan for years and I am excited but also cautious about the new investment. We could well become another Crawley or Fleetwood BUT we do need to have sustainable growth because if the bubble does burst then we are back in the mire again.

The town certainly needs to come out and support its local club. You may disagree with the poster above but he does make a valid comment about our support.

The 4500 attendance average was merely the figure used from when Mr. Knill took over at Bury fc in February 2008 til April 2011 when we achieved promotion.

We have always had a hard core of over 2700 fans but in recent years this has dwindled due to the economic downturn and lack of success in league 1.

As for the mythical figure of season tickets being put on sale at 100 pounds that is nonesense. The actual cheapest season ticket will set the fan back 200 pounds.

Burton Albion will do well to repeat last season's successful season given that everyone seems to be after signing Gary Rowett's players.

Radio Derby will have all of the real transfer information/activity for you Brewer's fans.

13 Jun 2013 15:43:49
Burnley will announce the signing of Chesterfield goalkeeper Richard O'Donnell today as back up to tom heaton when his contract expires on july 1st

No they won't, they've just signed cisak from oldham

Doubt it now they've signed Alex Cisak.

Yeah because Tom Heaton hasn't just signed a 2 year deal, there's some crap on this page {Ed003's Note - Burnley have announced they are signing him.}

ROD said he wanted first team football

They haven't announced they are signing him, its alex cisak who we have signed

It was sarcasm ed

13 Jun 2013 15:37:14
Reports in Russia claim Reading are closing in on the signing if Roysten Drenthe formally of Real Madrid and Everton on loan and now of Alania Vladikavka on a 3 year deal.

13 Jun 2013 15:14:52
Reading have rejected a 2m from Cardfiff for HRK

Reading sign Drenthe on a 3 year deal after he activated his relegation release clause announced friday at 10am

MHR12

Just been denied by Drenthe's family in the Dutch media.

Royston Drenthe?

Royston Drenthe. Maybe a risk but what a player. Gary Hooper of Celtic next please!

Drenthe's family say they always deny rumours regarding him as they simply don't know.

Them denying it means nothing.

Just been denied by Drenthe's family in the Dutch media.

Translated from Dutch they said they've heard nothing to confirm

13 Jun 2013 15:09:47
Any Ipswich news?

Don't see Pack coming now Skuse in squad and Hyam about. Chris and Harry Forrester are on cards, Simeon Jackson hopefully and a new wingback. probably not Stearman due to cost.

13 Jun 2013 15:02:48
sheffield wednesday have drawn up an 6 man shortlist of top targets this summer they are:

Sean St. Ledger
Matt Killgallon
Seyi Olifinjana
Kevin Davies
Simeon Jackson
Paddy McCourt

They can have Steve Howard. Hartlepool fans will have a whip round so they can afford him.

Your losing 5 mil a year course your buying that lot

Every one of these players are free transfers. So wouldn't need to buy any of them

Would all be frees no fees. doh

14 Jun 2013 08:34:15
99% sure they've already contacted St. Ledger.

Some people are fooled by the fact Milan mandaric came out and said that they are losing £5m a year as if its the worst case in the championship.
Only 3 teams in the champ operated at a profit last year and there were a number of teams, about half or more, that lost more than £5m. The likes of Blackburn and wolves lost in the region of £25-30m.

No were not fooled by Milan manderics statement about losses, it's a fact Wednesday are losing money as well as many other clubs, the truth in the matter is Wednesday can't keep posting losses due to the financial fair play about to be enforced,
So they desperately need to reduce the wage bill, as many championship clubs start the cull!!

13 Jun 2013 15:01:28
Tony Mowbray looks set to sign Dean Whithead on a free after being released by Stoke.
Sylvain Ebanks-Blake also looks to be a summer signing for Boro.
2 young Croatians also on BORO's radar after being watched for the past few weeks.

13 Jun 2013 14:40:19
Ante Vukušić looks set to join boro on July 1st when Croatia join the EU. He is a young striker with bags of talent, and would have a low wage bill

13 Jun 2013 14:36:19
Steve Clarke is set to sign ex-Manchester United forward Mame Biram Diouf as his contract at Hannover is yet to be renewed. West Brom have been monitoring the player's progress and with an impressive 17 goals this season he looks a worthy successor to Romelu Lukaku and the club feel it is the right time to bring him back to the Premier League. The 25 year old is valued at around £9 million but it is believed that a fee has been agreed for about £6.5 million plus add-ons.

Heard this rumour on west brom forums aswell, realy hope we pull it off, i've read that the player is keen on a return to the EPL

Would be a great signing.

^ hope so look impressive in bundesliga.

No thanks I didn't rate him while he was with UTD or on loan at Blackburn.

13 Jun 2013 14:18:49
Walsall are set to announce the signings of Southends Ryan Creswell and former ipswich Town man lee martin

Sorry but really can't see lee martin going to walsall though andy drury is signing for crawley

Lee martin ha ha ha you could never afford his wages! about his level tho

He ain't even good enough for that level complete waste of space

14 Jun 2013 12:11:20
Rhino is going to Yorkshire or nowhere and not to a Div 2 team for a paltry fee he's way better than that!!

13 Jun 2013 14:06:33
West Ham hope to lure Demba Ba to Upton Park with the promise of first team football, something he is unlikely to get at Chelsea.

The Hammers are currently trying to make Andy Carroll's loan move from Liverpool permanent. Although a £15 million fee has been agreed between the two clubs, It has now become apparent that Carroll isn't interested in moving to Upton Park on a permanent basis meaning West Ham are having to look for other options.

One of those options is Demba Ba, with Wilfried Zaha coming in on a season long loan to add pace and trickery to the Hammers first team

The hammers would also then be looking to Wilfried Bony to spear head the attack

No chance of getting Zaha on loan, if he goes anywhere it will be back to Palace. What could he learn under Big Sam?

13 Jun 2013 14:06:13
Cheltenham hope to finalise the deal for brian saah, jamie cureton and luke rooney by early next week.

Luke Rooney is going to join Pompey

13 Jun 2013 23:21:56
Luke rooney has agreed to join cheltenham pompey did enquire but no deal in place.

Brian Saah is moving to Wycombe.
An article in the local media stated that Saah wants to move closer to his family in London.

13 Jun 2013 14:02:53
Exeter midfielder Alan Gow to join one of three clubs on a free transfer to ease the ECFC wage bill:
- Burton Albion
- Bristol Rovers
- Stevenage Borough

We might be hard up but we won't be selling Gow unless we're bonkers!

I would love him to come to Burton!

Heard a few rumours about his and the gas, he would have to fight for his place at the mem tho

Bradford made enquries but were put off by Exeter asking price, Tisdale has stated after losing Cureton, Gow will not be leaving unless for stacks of money

Hmmmm lies he is worth 200k so obviously not a free who comes up with this stuff

No he really wouldn't. He's a class above all the lads at Rovers

We don't want to take on his wages he's injured more often than not

13 Jun 2013 14:01:58
Mnchester United youngster Will Keane is in talks with a loan move to Preston, there was offers for his services from 3 championship clubs but David Moyes beleives Preston will offer more regular first team action. Declan Rudd has a medical scheduled for Thursday 20th June. Thorsten Stuckmann has agreed a new 18 month contract that will be signed and made official on his return from Germany. That will seal all of Prestons incoming transfers this window. Iain Hume might stay, but if that is the case Cummins and Byrom will be added to the transfer list to create space for the fans favorite.

13 Jun 2013 17:41:05
that would be great news but can't see byrom or cummins on transfer list

Not a great choice in Will Keane, He is only just getting back into training after an almost career ending injury to his knee.

Hasn't played anything during in the whole of 2012 & not much of 2013.

Doubt he's the kind of player PNE need to get 15+ Goals to get them out of League 1

Why an 18 month contract for Stuckman? That would see him leave in January 2015, half way through a season.

Stuckmann signed a two year deal

Isn't it good to know that creative fiction, as an art form, is alive and well and indeed flourishing on this site

13 Jun 2013 13:31:00
Leeds look set to sign Ed Upson for 400K next week according to Leeds site. Yeovil are replacing him with ex BCFC player who worked under Gary Johnson.

Are you sure you don't mean Paddy Madden?

Which ex bcfc player and sir gary won't sell any of his best players for under 1million

Saw Upson a couple of times for Yeovil last season, good passer but can't see Mr Johnson letting him go.

Im a Yeovil fan and I would sell him for that, he's good that good tbh. On and off

Leeds are looking at Matt Upson not Ed Upson, doh!

I thought £400,000 was a little low for ED UPSON.

13 Jun 2013 13:23:26
Swansea City and Sunderland are interested in signing Tottenham midfielder Scott Parker who is to leave in the summer.

Don't see how he would fit into the Swansea setup, and in any case is too old and would be on high wages

What a load of cobblers! Why make things up? Parker is way out of swanseas wage structure.

Lol Parker isn't good enough for the swans squad let alone the first 11

I'd rather take huddlestone showed promise before and is still young parker is at or past his peak

13 Jun 2013 14:23:18
Bristol City are looking at lee camp and shay given. Both players want to play regular first team football. Sean O'Driscoll today announced that the club had been contacted by top flight players who want to play first team football.

I'm a city supporter. SOD hasn't said this. anywhere.

Camp won't play in league1

Lee Camp is written all over what SOD said earlier, not a chance Given would drop down, he'll get offers from championship at very least, probably remain premier league with someone like Hull, Sunderland

Have a look on the website, he clearly said we've had interest from keepers with premier league experience

There is a premier league keeper (apparently) and if there is. It's Lee Camp (SoD links with him at Forest)

No he hasnt. where?

16 Jun 2013 01:58:09
here you are mate!

SOD says keepers with premier league experience interested in Bristol City

Rotherham have made a bid for Coventry striker Leon Clarke but face competition from Peterborough, Notts County and Preston.

Why make it up? why even bother wasting your time?

Can these clubs afford the £5K per week?

I hope that is not true! we don`t need a has been.

At 28 he is to old for Posh

Clarke did very little when on loan at Preston in 2011.

Leon was at meadow lane with his mate roy keen lat game of season v cov city

Clarke is class in Lge 1. UTM, Obviously the guy saying has been hasn't got a clue

Probably at Meadow Lane last game becaue he is a coventry player and it was Notts vs Coventry

He's in a 2 1/2 year contract, no chance

" Leon was at meadow lane with his mate roy keen last game of season v cov city". Not surprising really, as he plays for Coventry and was injured.

If Leon Clark applied for a season ticket at Deepdale he would be turned down. The chance of him being a PNE player next season - about as much chance as I have, being a Methodist, of being elected pope!

28!? That rules Posh out.

Great logic there guys. We don't want one of last seasons top scorers because he is 28. If he bagged you 20 per season what does age matter?

The logic is that we buy players as an investment, not as a quick fix, that's why we have the second youngest squad in the football league. it works for us.

He's going to shrewsbury

It works for you? Well done on a successful relegation last season. Don't you just love it when a plan comes together.

Plan to make yes it work thanks

Meant plan to make money yes did work thanks

Indeed at the end of the day POSH have to be a selling club to survive so they have to buy young, develop and sell on. Apart from Grant McCann I can't think of another player over 26 that has been bought in the last 4 or 5 seasons.

We are generally not in the market to buy players whose value can only decrease hence the age restriction on transfers in.

As for last seasons it is a fact that from 15 Dec POSH were in 6th place in the Championship. Our miserable start when we had a number of key players out through injury cost us dear and yet only went down in the last minute of the last game.

"Plan to make yes it work thanks"

In English please?

I understand the need to develop young players but still, if you have the chance to sign someone that will bag goals, you do it. Manchester United wouldn't usually spend big money on an ageing player but look what happened when they signed RVP.

"Meant plan to make money yes did work thanks"

You were relegated. Was that part of the plan to make money? What are you talking about?

"As for last seasons it is a fact that from 15 Dec POSH were in 6th place in the Championship. Our miserable start when we had a number of key players out through injury cost us dear and yet only went down in the last minute of the last game. "

Yet you wouldn't sign a player of 28 years of age even if it meant his goals might keep you up? Crazy logic.

Maybe it's crazy logic to you, but at the end of the day it's the logic the chairman runs the club by. Point is posh will not sign a 28 year old, and definitely not for a fee

13 Jun 2013 13:15:36
Norwich bid in region 4.5 million for Jordan Rhodes first hand news here.

A season after he was bought for £8m? And after scoring nearly 30 goals. doubt it.

Lets hope so would be s hood signing

Im a norwich fan and would love him at carrow road, but didn't blackburn pay £8 million or so for him in first place even before he smashed in god knows how many goals last season

Think they`d have to double that.

13 Jun 2013 18:20:01
no chance for that price you would b looking at 10 million plus if Blackburn have got any sense they would hold out for 15million saying that Rhodes might like having a different manager every month

He was brought for 8 million a year ago would fetch at least 11 now.

Can believe that blackburn are skint. he hasn't signed contract yet

he wants more wages

13 Jun 2013 22:27:43
would love him at Norwich but at £4.5M? They will want £10m.

Keep in mind blackburn remain in the championship. It may be the case he has a clause in his contract along the lines of : no prem within a year, fee of sale 4.5 mill

13 Jun 2013 13:09:57
Norwich will sign Curtis Davies from Birmingham he is liked by Hughton and Crouch is also on Hughton radar

No to both. We've moved on.

Yes to Davies, no to Crouch and just because we have be linked to players with foreign names doesn't mean we are too big for players like Davies.

I wasn't saying that because I think we're to big. I said it because Crouch is crap and we've got 4 CB's who are already better than Davies.

Nothing to do with being too big for Davies.
Simply put Davies is s***! Lol! Not good enough by miles and miles!

Davies is rumoured as a Hull target.

13 Jun 2013 13:03:10
Former Newcastle United player Nile Ranger, currently a free agent is set to sign for newly relegated League 2 side Hartlepool United.

I'd give him a chance, would work wonders in league two.
But already have players who can fill that position.
But if he comes he would have low wages and Howard off the books

When will he be signing because this was meant to happen today?

Hope not will be a bad influance on the rest of the dressing room.

13 Jun 2013 13:01:43
Bristol City are looking to recruit goalkeeper Ben Amos from Manchester United
Ben Amos is frustrated at being so far down the pecking order and is willing to drop ALL the way down to league one to gain first team football
Bristol City are currently without any goalkeepers so the No1 slot will be his.
Talks over a fee are at an advance stage

Surely Amos would slot into a championship team

13 Jun 2013 12:54:13

Sensible shout! Good player and good value at 2mill

13 Jun 2013 12:51:59
Jake Livermore is being lined up by Hull City.

City pressing ahead for either a loan deal or even permanent signing.

Player would fit the Allam's transfer policy and Bruce is known to want to add the necessary quality to his central midfield.

Spurs likely to do business around £2m for the player and he is said to be keen to move on this summer due to limited first team opportunities at Spurs.

13 Jun 2013 12:44:30

13 Jun 2013 12:37:57
Middlesbrough manager Tony Mowbray has been widely tipped to sign two up and coming Croatian footballers when Croatia joins the EU next month.
The names have largely gone unknown, but Croatian news sources report the names of Mislav Orsic (NK Inter Zapresic), Domagoj Antolic (NK Lokomotiva Zagreb), Franko Andrijašević (Hajduk Split). Other players linked are Mario Situm (NK Lokomotiva Zagreb) and highly rated winger Mijo Caktas (Hajduk Split).
Middlesbrough scouts have been watching in Croatia for some time. watch this space

Some1 reads the Gazette

Franko Andrijašević and Mijo Caktas will sign for Middlesbrough 1st July

Kreso Ljubicic is another name linked with the Boro, he plays for Hadjuk Split aswell.

Hope this is true. This lads performances in the last 6 games keep us up.

13 Jun 2013 12:34:01
Scunthorpe United are closing in on the signing of Rene Howe on a free transfer

Not a chance Scunny don't have the budget which would attract a player of his undoubted quality.

Why would Knilly sell or lose one of his players to the club that sacked him?.

Ok he might be a free agent but he can do much better.

No they're not.

He's rejected a contract at Torquay, and buys into the clubs ambitions

13 Jun 2013 12:15:32
Swindon have rejected a 300k bid from Rotherham for striker James Collins.

Why on earth would he move down to league 2 when he is more than capable of playing for a top end league 1 side

13 Jun 2013 20:43:02
why indeed when Rotherham will be a top end league one side

Collins level is only L2 player

Just to remind you rotherham are a league 1 side and we will be in the top half

Rotherham came 2nd in league 2 last season and won promotion. Therefore will be in League 1 next season and likely to be top end. Think we can do far better than James Collins anyway

13 Jun 2013 22:58:06
Rotherham got promoted to L1 keep up it happenned a few weeks ago.

Erm, he millers are Lge 1

Collins won't go to Rotherham, he will sign for Wolves in the next few weeks, a much much bigger club than Roveram.

Swindon have turned down bids of £500k for Collins from Wolves already so would not take a lower bid from a lesser team.

Paddy Madden has been on the end of some interesting transfer talk between Celtic and Yeovil, the Scottish giants are looking to the nPower Leauge 1 tog goal scorer as a potential replacement for Gay Hooper if he leaves for Hull or Norwich. The fee is believed to be around 2 Million.

Yeovil won't sell paddy madden on the cheap he's got 2 years left and is worth more than 2 million. Carlise don't have a sell clause any more

13 Jun 2013 16:19:59
Is someone bored today?

I know Scottish football is a poor standard but I doubt this is true.

Why would they let he go if he has got 2 years left of his contract could they not ask for me than the reported
2 million because it would cost a lot to replace him and who could they go for?

How many teams want paddy madden now?

Carlisle do have a sell on clause FACT you will c when you sell him Carlisle will get half the money garanteed

Carlisle do have a sell on clause FACT you will c when you sell him Carlisle will get half the money garanteed

To the Yeovil fan - how good is he really? I can't say I've seen too much of him

The deal which took madden to yeovil seems cheap but Carlisle have so many clauses in the there transfer that, they make a killing of sell ons.

The madden deal was:
base payment of £25k
another £25 k on promotion
30k after scoring 50 goals
40% clause, 10% goes to madden
and first buy back if they can match the fee (very unlikely)

Honestly paddy madden's not great but Yeovil are going to make money on him if they sell him which they will. Carlise don't have the clause anymore on him.

Well he was very good for league 1, always making runs, pretty quick and has a great finish plus he played nearly all over every game for Yeovil and didn't really show any fatigue. hopefully he can step up to championship level

He was fantastic this season. Not just his goal scoring but his work rate. Constantly chasing the ball even in the 89th minute. He makes goals from nothing just by being a pest. Be a big loss should he leave, I think he will stay though!

A sell on clause don't just get wiped from a player it stays with him all the time because it was inserted in to the transfer so Carlisle still do have a sell on fee ul c soon when he gets sold

Anyone who says madden isn't special is jealous he doesn't play for them, whatever the sell on clause he got us promotion and will be staying with ytfc, the goal at wembley shows how good he is technically and he is loyal to us as we gave him a chance and no one else did which is their loss no matter what the clause, having watched league one for several years he is as good as jordan rhodes or coxs or austins or nugents of this world its because he plays for little old yeovil that he's not rated, he will leave one day but not for a rubbish fee as talked about on this forum, why would he want to sit on a bigger clubs bench when he can make people sit up and notice when yeovil take the championship by storm, once he gets a few goals and plays for ireland then watch his stock rise.

Ha ha ha ha get real he is no where near as good as Rhodes Austin Cox etc what are you on you won't take the championship by storm ul come right back down and madden will b luck to score 7 goals then watch his price get less and less if you want money for him you need to cash in now or lose out

Every other team is constantly writing off Yeovil before they've even played a game in the championship all I have to say to all of you other fans is. when you are struggling financially in a 40 million pound debt Yeovil will always be there on a small budget but not in debt shaping the next generation of football and promoting young players. Thank you and good night. YTFC for life!

We don't need to "cash in" and we don't want to sell; so, no problem. Besides, what the hell do you know!

Wernt we ment too get relegated last season as well? and there aren't many 15 goal plus strikers at most clubs. And what do you mean when he only scores 7 goals he's not even kicked a ball in the championship so don't become a betting man.

Burton news is that Calvin Zola will sign for Tranmere Rovers, the club nearest to his home. Jacques Maghoma will finally join Middlesborough. Paterson will stay, but Oxford and Portsmouth are showing interest. MacDonald will sign for Plymouth Argyle. Symes will stay at Orient and Ian Sharps will join on a years contract. Tranmere's McGurk has various offers so do not see him joining. Ricky Holmes will join Portsmouth and not Burton.

I hope symes does not stay at orient! He's awful. All of this could happen though

Im thought he sign for burton already

According to many sources he has already signed for Bury fc amongst many other clubs.

Tranny isn't that far away from Bury in anycase.

MacDonald won't sign for Argyle! He's only just joined Burton permanently!

13 Jun 2013 19:25:30
Rowett has said that the MacDonald deal is done just waiting on the paperwork. Not sure about Zola he has not rejected a contract yet and Holmes won't sign for Portsmouth as there manager said on tv sport website that he aist looking to sign anymore players at present

Why has McGurk had multiple offers cause he really is awful.

Macdonald will sign for Burton, he loves the club.

McDonald is signing for Burton

Macdonald prefers Plymouth actually, hence the constant tweets about missing Plymouth, just sheridan is not interested in signing him

Macca has said himself he loves plymouth and wants a return, look in the herald

13 Jun 2013 22:41:33
Tbh although MacDonald did work hard for us he was never THAT good. think he showed which team he really loves when we travelled to the Pirelli

Calvin zola will go to portsmouth

Mcgurk was never given a chance by us Tranmere fans and where ever he ends up I wish him well and hope he gets a decent run in there team and is appreciated by there fans.

15 jun 2013 12:12:20
zola is not going to pompey😡

16 Jun 2013 08:23:06
Any new rumours?

Get some new rumours on! PAFC

13 Jun 2013 11:56:39
Oxford are after forma Hereford and Reading striker Manset,

Could be right as it seems unlikely Howe is on his way

13 Jun 2013 11:55:44
Out of contrct Mansfield striker Matt Green is due to sign for Swindon Town on his return from holiday.

Been back more than a week, had fresh talks with Mansfield last Saturday.

13 Jun 2013 11:51:16
QPR will announce the signing of Carlton Cole before the weekend.

Hahahhaaa very very unlucky!

13 Jun 2013 11:50:18
Portsmouth news are reporting that pompey are interested in signing out of favour Swindon midfielder Luke Rooney.

Probably a little old for us at 32, but maybe a trialist in pre-season

13 Jun 2013 18:26:36
Luke Rooney is 22 or 23

13 Jun 2013 18:55:14
Erm 32!

He is 22 so unless pompey are looking for a squad full of teenagers, too old he ain't.

He's 22

32? LOL, he looks about 12 and runs like a girl, no loss for Swindon.

He is 22/23 your obviously thinking of Paul Benson who you are also interested in and was on loan at you last seaso. go

Hes only 22 only 10 off better luck next time

13 Jun 2013 11:49:40
Crystal Palace are in talks with West Brom about Odemwingie. Swansea were also interested in a £2.7m deal, but Palace are hoping to secure a season-long loan for the winger to replace outgoing play-off hero Zaha.

Baggies want a fee for Odious, if he moves on loan for 12 months he will be 33 when he returns and his sell on fee would be worthless to Albion at the end of his loan, besides which all concerned at WBA would be glad to see the back of him permanently after his off field antics of last season although he will always score goals as long as his head is in the right place which to all accounts is not always as it should be.

Odemwingie only has one year left on his contract. he won't be loaned only to be able to walk away at the end. he will leave but will be sold

Hardly a replacement for Zaha! Can score a few goals in the prem so would still welcome the signing for >3m #cpfc

Why would they loan him out with a year left on his contract whilst unhappy at club when they can cash in? Come on now butty!

P. s he a striker.

He is not a winger and they can have him

Westbrom will only sell odemwingie, not loan him

Hardly a replacement for Zaha! Can score a few goals in the prem so would still welcome the signing for >3m #cpfc

Even with all his troubles this past season he still scored nearly as many goals as the massively over-hyped Zaha.

Zaha 6 in 43 at Championship level
Odemwingie 5 in 25 in the Premier League

15 Jun 2013 02:47:31
Everyone on here talks so much ball you all need to get your facts sttaight zaha scored 8 in about 45 games and he ain't over hyped you will see in the next couple of years just why he is who he is he's going to be the best right winger for england that's for sure

13 Jun 2013 11:18:06
News from the 3 Devon league clubs.

Argyle. Reid returning on loan. Howe either moving across Devon or off to the Kassam. Super Lee Hodges to be appointed asst. manager.

United. Quiet. Mainly due to a zinger of a writ from Mr Ling.

City. Yearly feel under the couch to try and find enough pennies to keep Cureton continues. If he can't be kept, replacement will be Allen from Guernsey. (If they can afford the ferry)

Challinor arriving from York on a 6 month deal. Oakley to be offered player coach role if stripping fit in pre-season. Up to 8 grade 2 & 3 players to arrive for pre-season trials.

Plymouth is in Cornwall not Devon.

Oh deary me are finances so tight at poor old Exeter City?.

13 Jun 2013 11:01:01
Reports coming out of colney that Norwich city are in talks with niko kranjar from dynamo Kiev. Fee agreed at £4.5 million

Bit overpriced. But would be nice, decent player. I expect his wages would be a problem though.

Yes please good player

Great price IMO. Kiev payed £7m last summer but has fell out of favour. Only 28 could have his best years left in him

This player has had a lot of persistent injuries, he's good but he's 28 and his numbers are just ok. He isn't going to improve now and we have better alternatives.

13 Jun 2013 10:51:06
Southend set to sign leon johnson from wycombe on a pre contact agreement untill southends embargo is lifted

Which Would Be His Second Spell At The Club. He Started His Career With The Shrimpers.

13 Jun 2013 10:42:34
Luke freeman seen coming out of London Road this morning agreeing a deal to be in the region of 800k

Also from a good source that Gabriel Zakuani is subject of a 1million bid from derby as they require some steal in defence

Best news i've heard though in a while is that wolves are considering a swap for tyrone barnett and leigh griffiths which would be a great deal for the posh!

13 Jun 2013 13:56:18
Wouldn't mind if these happened, but I doubt any will

I think you'll find Wolves are doing nothing of the sort. He will be with us for a year, then out of contract if he chooses, at which point he will probably do one back up to Scotland.

Ha ha ha ha ha Barnett for Griffiths - got any more like this? My sides are hurting.

No way! He is the worst CB I have ever seen play at Pride Park. Sammon made him look stupid last season! He's not worth 1mil either.

Wouldn't pay a million for him, but he's alright

Derby won't be spending 1 million on Zakuani. He isn't worth that much.

We do need a CB though

13 Jun 2013 10:41:40
Huddersfield Town are looking to seal deals for Simeon Jackson and Danny Haynes, also they hope to conclude the transfer of James Vaughan when he returns from honeymoon

I hope so they would be very good signins for us from Maca town fan

That would be great but I can't see the fair play rules allowing the Terriers enough in their salary budget to sign Jackson and Vaughan noting we will be bringing in another attacker, a winger another midfielder and likely a defender plus at least one loan player.

That's like 5 million ish don't think we will go for them! Be good though

Jackson and Vaughan will be lethal together, would love this

We are going for quality not quantity. I wouldn't worry about salary budgets

Good point about fair play - means a Championship club like Town can 'only' carry a loss of £3 million for 2013-14 - and gets tighter in years ahead i. e. Town have to set the course for financial stability, now. Hence Hoyle putting money into one-off capital expenditure such as Academy infrastructure and Canalside etc - and also, importance of good loans - someone else picks up part of the wages (hopefully) for a player we couldn't afford.

New millwall manager says he wants jackson

13 Jun 2013 10:33:14
The rumours surrounding the Coventry midfielder who is going to Huddersfield is James Bailey. People have confused him as a Coventry player when he was only on loan from Derby to us. James Bailey was Mark Robins's golden boy last season and will do well up there.

Well Derby clearly don't want him as they have been trying to move him on for over a year but have extended his contract so protecting them from him leaving for free. The only connection I can see in all this is that he played half a season on loan at Coventry while Robins was manager.

Franck Moussa

13 Jun 2013 10:32:05
Albert adomah is in talks with QPR

13 Jun 2013 10:12:04
Sunderland are close to signing right back Luis Pedro Cavanda, and are looking at bringing in strikers-Dutch striker Bas Dost from Wolsburg, Brazilian Paulinho and Man City's John Guidetti. BLACKCAT

13 Jun 2013 10:04:39
Barnsley summer targets
Anthony Kay
EL Hadji Diouf
Jose Baxter
Leon Clarke

Hope we get none of these,

Kay, we let him go years ago, how he got to be a pro I do not know

Who in their right minds would want Diouf?

Would not have any of them.

Antony kay hates Barnsley as he got sacked by us we hate diouf
Dont know about other two

Hopefully none of those! Poor signings

Lies on all of them. Kay said he won't return and Diouf is detested at Oakwell

Wrong on four counts

Baxter maybe wouldn't touch the rest with a barge pole.

Diouf is rubbish now and is a liability

None of above

Anthony would be Ok but it would be Bax-ter basics with Jose. or even Hose B lol.

I wouldn't sign any of these if there were no other players left available transfer! all 4 would be poor signings, Kay was good for us in league one, but far from his best, Diouf is a disgrace! Leon Clarke isn't good enough, and there's better than Baxter out there

ivanthetyke

Leon Clarke is awful, didn't he play for Wednesday?

Flicker has very quickly developed a togetherness at the club, the club the players and the fans are all pulling in the same direction,
A player like diouf could just as quickly destroy it,
But I'm sure flicker knows this.
Diouf should have been kicked out of the sport along time ago.

Richard wood leon Clarke cog how many more Wednesday rejects do you want

If I remember correctly wood left when Wendy's got relegated, and if I'm not mistaken didn't the Wendy's once have that reject mr Eric cantona, and look what he went onto achieve!!

Richard wood is a good defender think he could hack it at championship level

O'Grady not signed yet although fee agree almost a week ago know.

14 Jun 2013 21:48:53
He' on holiday

Wood left for more money

13 Jun 2013 10:01:24
Leeds summer targets
Jerome Thomas
Grant Holt
Alex pearce
Alex Smithies

Is this a joke? Free transfers for leeds i`m afraid.

So 2 of them are OK then.

I've hear the Holt rumour too, but it depends on what happens with Noel Hunt

We need them all and also becchio back

13 Jun 2013 10:00:13
Yeovil have been linked with former player Luke Freeman. Freeman is to have reportedly said that he wants to progress with his career and push up to the championship. Former club Yeovil seem to be keen on the youngster.

13 Jun 2013 12:18:56
Cant push up to the Championship if you're a league 1 bench warmer, Yeovil couldn't afford him anyway

Deals are done in principal on holiday and finalized upon return, always been this way. Paddy is on his way don't fool yourself, there are about 20 posts around just this deal.

13 Jun 2013 10:00:12
Laudrup off to psg. Swans looking at poyet.

The whole situation is so dodgy. Laudrups agent has created this. Why make it so public. I also think that laudrup needs to take some of the blame. He's gone down in my estimation. This needs to get sorted quickly. I can't see laudrup or the board having a working relationship now. I think the best option is for him to go. It's going to be difficult to get players to sign whilst this is going on.

13 Jun 2013 09:59:55
Eddie Howe has stated he has had NO offers for any of our players, that includes Tubbs.

13 Jun 2013 09:59:28
Cliff Byrne to Join Scunthorpe with Ribeiro going the other way on a free.

13 Jun 2013 09:31:31
Derby County looking to sign Aidy White from Leeds United. a reported 1. 5 Mill.

Sounds good to me take him

There are plenty at Leeds who pay his taxi fare!

As much as I would love to see him in derby shirt I can't see us signing him as I don't think we have 1.5 million to spend on anyone before we get rid of some players, I think he recently signed a new contract so he will be on relatively high wages again we would have sell first and finally Leeds won't sell one of there best players that cheaply when we are not only rivals but league rivals i. e. both going for promotion

Aidy White is definitely not one of our best players

Aidy white is by far one of the better leeds player

13 Jun 2013 09:25:50
Millwall are interested in signing Simeon Jackson after he was released by norwich. also are monitering Sion's Kyle Lafferty

Rangers fan here, really hope you don't sign Lafferty for the sake of your team. The lad is an expensive liability who is a dreadful trainer and poor behaviour on and off the pitch.

I'll be 'SURPRISED' if we sign Jackson! But you never know? COYL

A message for SL, the whole Hearts squad is up for sale! Might be some decent players there?

I live in Scotland and the Hearts that Millwall played three years back are not the Hearts of now - Lomas should know anyway. Better to go for a couple quality rather than 4 average and cheap (like the loans of last year - which probably were not that cheap after all). I think if we lose Fordy we may be in a bit of trouble - would need to get 2 new keepers then as Taylor will not go on forever. Anyway - I wonder if Millwall board play Euro millions as well?

13 Jun 2013 09:16:02
Eddie Howe thought to be looking at Harry Forrester of Brentford if Ritchie leaves for Sunderland

13 Jun 2013 09:36:26
No names yet, but Paul Ince will anounce two "surprise " quality signings by the weekend.

13 Jun 2013 12:41:56
Aaron Wilbraham and Jason Banton as part of the Ince jr deal to Palace

Palace have as much chance of signing Tom Ince as Paul Ince has of signing 2 new players by the weekend.

1 word: Karl "the dark lord" Oyston

13 Jun 2013 09:07:45
Norwich City to tie up 2 deals by the end of next week: Nathan Redmond from Birmingham with James Vaughan going the other way & Alex Pearce on a free. The Ola deal is in very early stages and has been leaked by PSV to try and entice other bids. plenty of other striker irons in the fire though which is why Vaughan is being allowed to leave

Isnt Pearce going to Liverpool? 2 good signings if not. Would like Ola aswell. Think we are bound to bring another striker in with Jackson off and Vaughan due to leave.

13 Jun 2013 08:46:18
There's a good chance that terry gornell could be resigning for tranmere rovers. Talks have been held between the two teams and its believd that terry is interested in a return to merseyside

13 Jun 2013 08:38:37
Yeovil set to cash in next week on Paddy Madden to the tune of 1.3 million, player is talking through a deal to Forest and is set to make a fina decision by the close of next week. Yeovil are to replace him a yet undiclosed player from the Championship who is a proven goalscorer at that level. Gary Johnson is understood to have managed this player whilst at Bristol City.

Considering Madden is abroad on Holiday this is unlikely!

City havnt had a proven goal scorer since maynard and he's not going to leave cardife

Dont know if I believe it. but players have mobile phones, and can talk to agents and clubs on these devices.

could sign by close of next week. could easliy happen when he comes back next week

Why would Yeovil accept 1.3mil of which 50% goes to Carlisle in sell on fees?. If he goes it would need to be 2mil + to make it worth yeovil letting him go.
This is just made up nonsense written due to a vague link mentioned in the local media

Why is it unlikely?

People have mobile phones and Internet connections!

I doubt he's on an island with no form of communication!

I hope he doesn't go, but £1. 3 is a decent amount to use to buy other players?

Well if that's true the only goalscorer he had at city who scored goals in the championship was nicky maynard

What price would they put on Paddy Madden not that I want him to go because it would cost Yeovil a lot of money to replace him I think and how would they go for any way

1.3 million and half of it goes to carlisle, clearly not true as 650k is not worth selling him for, he also has 2 years left on his deal

The deal is meant to be up front fee and sell on, plus the other player coming in is a free from Bristol City.

There are no strikers at Ashton gate that Johnson has worked with! B

13 Jun 2013 16:38:26
yeah like Maynard would go to yoevil town! that's like Van Persie joining blackpool! Maynard wants premier league football, always has done and always will! Madden 1.3 million really? I bet he doesn't score 10 in the championship next year! One hit wonder!

I agree, Yeovil will want well over market value for him

A 24 hit wonder!

You would sell him as once he plays for yeovil next season and scores 5 times all season you have missed your boat

he had one good season!

THAT many?

It's always the same a player does well and is linked with every team Bet your house on it HE WILL NOT LEAVE he still has 2 years left on his contract and is guarenteed first team football seeing as he has said he is looking forward to getting back to training with Yeovil that suggests that he wants to stay

Nothing would make me happier than to see Nicky Maynard sold back to the Championship.

If he never kicks a ball in the Premier League I won't mind the fact he has become rich for life without having to play much.

13 Jun 2013 08:18:11
Regardless of what we all read, the Andy carroll deal is still in major doubts. Money wasn't the only issue but also his ambition. West ham have however moved closer to Gary Hooper

13 Jun 2013 07:44:11
Millwall to sign Simeon Jackson and Medhi Abeid. Jackson will sign a 3 year deal after being released by Norwich, millwall tried to sign the Canadian international three years ago before he joined the canaries and are hopeful they will get there man this time round. Abeid will join the lions from Newcastle on a season long loan deal

Simeon Jackson has agreed terms with Huddersfield Town and will be announced at Friday lunchtime press conference. Elliot Ward will officially become a Town player on 1st July at end of his current contract and will be paraded at the same time as Jackson.

Hope this is 'TRUE'?!

Fairly sure Abeid is a free agent.

Abeid has been released by Newcastle and lomas had him at st Johnstone last season

We shall see! If Jackson joins another club because of more wages then that's football I'm afraid! But at least Millwall are looking at signing players of that 'QUALITY'! COYL

SL must know that today the whole Hearts squad is up for sale! Maybe some talent there?

Mehdi Abeid hasn't been released. He's recently returned from a loan spell at St Johnstone.

13 Jun 2013 07:36:56
West Bromwich Albion outcast, Peter Odemwingie, 32 is nearing a £3 million move to Swansea. Although both promoted teams, Hull City and Crystal Palace want him. Also West Bromwich Albion are looking at former West Ham United flop Carlton Cole, 29 on a free transfer as a replacement for Romelu Lakaku.
And Albion target Dieumerci Mbokani expects to know more about his future at the end of this month. Although it has been said he has accepted a Three-year contract deal with Dyanamo Keiv for £8 million euros which is £4 million euros cheaper than Anderlecht wanted.

MAS

The Carlton Cole rumour has been confirmed as a big load of cobblers by a local journo close to the Albion. Thank god.

Cole is of no interest to west brom

Mbokani is joining Dynamo Kiev within the next week or sooner, a three year deal for £8 million euros have been agreed.

And Peter Odemwingie is struggling to get a move to anywhere, wether it be money or his attitude. Swansea's manager and chairman are failing to come to an agreement to bring him to the Liberty Stadium.

First of all Steve Clarke said £4million for Odemwingie and also how much is £8million euros?! Pounds and Euros are 2 completely different currencys!

We not want cole at any price. its been mooted that he would be a replacement for lukaku you must be joking. doesn't come close

Mame diouf is a new name we sre watching

Steve Clarke says £4 million means he would accept £2.5 million

13 Jun 2013 07:16:06
Watford to sign Diego Fabbrini, Gabrielle Angella and Marco Faraoni either on loan or permanently according to Sport Italia.

Fabrinni has been loaned out the last few years so could see this happening. Angella is a Udinese first team regular and Faraoni is a rising star so think these two rumours are wishful thinking.

According to the Italian press, deals are very close to being finalised with Watford for both Fabbrini and the 'rising star' Faraoni.

The Faraoni situation depends if Basta stays at Udinese or is sold to Inter. Basta is first choice right wing back, Faraoni is behind him. If Basta stays, Faraoni may go out on loan for game time. If inter buy Basta then Faraoni is more likely to stay at Udinese.

13 Jun 2013 01:50:21
Bury to sign former Port Vale defensive midfielder Kingsley James on a 12 month contract, with Shane Byrne unlikely to be back fit for a while Kevin Blackwell sees the anchorman as a suitable cover and potential replacement

Also looking at former Sunderland player Liam Noble

Don't you mean Ryan Noble??!!.

13 Jun 2013 01:45:30
Bristol City are interested in both Clayton Donaldson and Bradley Wright-Phillips.

To add to lita?

13 Jun 2013 01:25:14
Jermaine beckford to millwall

Hope so, a very good striker on his day! If TRUE?

30k plus a week. try that on crowds of ten thousand.

Good player but a few managers have questioned his 'ATTITUDE'? But he might be worth a go? If TRUE?

Maybe? .

He's already gone to Bolton

13 Jun 2013 11:21:47
No attitude problems at all. millwall have no chance of affording him. He`s on prem wages at Leicester.

I do hope not. After all the abuse this guy got from us. He's not welcome.

13 Jun 2013 13:05:06
I wish he had already gone to Bolton, alas, it isn't true.

Jermaine, for your sake as well as ours, go, go now!

Beckford. that will be a great signing. Please anyone take James Henry.

I'm afraid that I have seen two managers interviewed about Beckford & they both said that his 'ATTITUDE' blows HOT & cold! & why did Leicester loan him to Huddersfield if he's that GOOD?

Get a grip mate, this is football. Players and Managers move all the time to rivals and other clubs. You are meant to support the club and get behind them. If he banged in 20 goals a season, any club would take him.

You get a grip mate he couldn't get in an average Leicester team!

From his Leeds days. I've always thought what a great Millwall striker Beckford would be, but have always discounted it on wages and him being too good if I'm honest e.g playing for Everton - £3M transfer etc. Any real Millwall fan, who knows anything about football would agree I'm sure that real Millwall players have a bit of attitude, a bit of grit, bottle, fight etc. and maybe. like our fans a bit of controversy! Beckford would be perfect for us!

12 Jun 2013 23:50:29
Darren Bent has signed for Fulham, agreed terms & will have his medical when he comes back from a rest break at the start of July

Berbatov & Bent could be lethal.

A rest break he's had that for 2 years now he needs some WD40?

Signed before he's had a medical, hmmmm.

13 Jun 2013 09:59:40
Or they could be Lazy as both have that tendency, all or nothing and there could be an ego clash.

Berbatov and Bent up top, Bryan Ruiz threading balls into them. Alex Kacaniklc and Ashkan Dejagah out wide. For as long as our defence stays solid, we could be a very good team next season.

Whilst I appreciate that berbatov and bent might make a good partnership on paper, neither are very willing runners, so unless we sign speedy gonzalez in midfield we may aswell change our sponsors to stannah stairlifts

They may have bid Egos but I have seen bent run and he is very quick. He could play a centre forward role allowing Berba to stay up front and not to wonder back into midfield where he isn't needed. Berba is one of the best players in te league when he gets in the box. He can use both feet got one if the best maybe even the best first touch in the league and is a proven goalscorer I think they would be a great partnership.
