To the person who commented on what I said about Arsenal not needing to strengthen in midfield, no I do not believe that any defensive midfielder should be brought in to show the likes of Denilson, Diaby and Song how it's done, as they are all playing extremely well lately (Diaby was before he picked up an injury), and are all playing regularly, and what better way is there for them to learn than for them to be playing week in week out at the highest level? If anything, loaning them to the championship would lower their game as their standard may drop with the level of football they playing at. Also, Wenger has recently said that he sees Fabregas playing a deeper role in the midfield, as this worked well later on in the Wigan game, due to his long range passing ability. We have a very strong selection of midfielers, both attacking (Nasri, Arshavin, Walcott, Rosicky, Fabregas) and defensive (Denilson, Diaby, Song, Fabregas). We are very strong in attack with 3 top class strikers in Adebayor, v.Persie and Eduardo and also very good back up in Bendtner, Vela and the soon returning Jay Simpson. In goalkeeping we are now looking very strong with Almunia getting better with every game and now as good as any in the league and Fabianski also looking a very good prospect. I can only see defence as an area in which to strenghthen, with Mamadou Sakho, Sebastian Bassong and possibly Micah Richards and Matthew Upson all being looked at.

In Arsene We Trust
  Liverpool ins:

Klose – £9mil – seen as perfect cover/partner for Torres, excellent in the air, awsome finishing ability with experience to boot. a real steal.

Johnson – £9mil – feels time to move up a level has come, and will turn United down to come to Anfield

simao – £14mil – Wants a new challenge and will bring awsome crossing ability with him

Outs:

Lucas – 12mil – unbelievibly, he believes he should be a 1st team regular and feels he is wasted at anfield, will seek pastures new at Atletico or villereal

Babel – loan – will move on season long to Bayern as part of the klose deal or simply to hamberg due to lack of 1st team opportunities, no tears there then

Dossena – while we accept that he may still be coming to terms with english footballs pace, the fact he can't control a football harks back to the last 6 months of riise, not good enough – Sampdoria 5mil

  BIG MAN CITY NEWS

After seeing their attempts to sign
kaka in january fail, the man city owners will splash the cash in the summer.

Mark hughes will be sacked as the board feel he cannot build a complete team and doesn't yet have the experience to keep a squad of stars happy, his recent snub of robinho has been a timely example of this. He will be replaced by Ancelotti who feels he cannot take the milan team further due to there being an aging squad, and no financial muscle to compete with the biggest teams in england and spain. He will bring with him to the eastlands kaka and pato with the total transfer fees, and compensation being a staggering £150 million.

Other players he will attempt to sign with the empasis being on youth. Other players being targeted are Benzema, Sergio Ramos and Terry who is believed to be unhappy with the constant changing of players and managers at chelsea and is looking for long term stability.

A host of players will be sold to give a complete overhaul but it will only be decided after Ancelotti can assess them.
Gianfranco Zola will be the next Chelsea manager with Frank Rikijard joining west ham as their new manager. Alan Curbishley will takeover at Portsmouth.
  CHELSEA IN

Just some rumours regarding a few uncertain players:

Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'hara is in need of more game time, and so could transfer to an interested party elsewhere in the Premier League, such as Portsmouth or Wolves. I know that's presumptious, but lets face it, they're going to do it now. This is a blow for Spurs in my opinion, because i think O'hara is class, and this is the ever–cynical Shaffer talking.

I mentioned Daniel Sturridge in a previous post, regarding a link with Stamford Bridge. However, Im hearing more rumours linking him with Arsenal (again) now, and that is certainly the best possible destination for a young player in the Premier League. Wherever Sturridge ends up, I think he can break into the England team. I must be going sentimental in my old age, but that's an honest opinion. On that subject, Wenger should aim for a few more youngsters aswell; namely messrs Bassong, Sakho and Delph

Sunderland keeper Craig Gordon is something of a patriot, and seems to highly regard his international place, which is looking in danger if he fails to keep his place between the sticks at the S.O.L. This is despite the reprimand of Allan McGregor. Therefore, he could let Marlon Fulop have all the fun, and switch to Portsmouth aswell. Paul Hart will have a nice summer.

Valencia striker David Villa will have to move; Los Che have no choice anymore. However, the Spanish international's desire to remain at the club could hold off the likes of Barcelona, City and Liverpool for another season yet. Ronaldinho, however, has spotted the pot of gold amidst the LSD and is off to Eastlands.

We inevitably end on a low note. Carlos Tevez looks like staying with Manchester United, to continue to leer at us from our TV sets. No offence, Mrs. Tevez. I don't know why it is I don't like him. Maybe its just because he's a waste of space at Old Trafford; I agree with the earlier poster who pointed out the similarities with Rooney. For what its worth, however, Sir Alex will probably be well in the running for Kun. He already controls the referees, who can comprehend the extent of his evil power?

My corrupt list now has a new leader by the way. West Brom chairman Jeremy Peace has slipped to second. Let us briefly review:

1. 'Sir' Alex Ferguson – Mind Games with referees
2. Jeremy Peace – Parachute Payment, theft of
3. Peter Ridsdale – Need I say
4. Karen Brady – Embezzlement
5. David Peace – Damned United my arse :–)

This table is more exciting than the Premier League one y'know. Malcolm Shaffer.

To the guy who spoke 'bout Real Madrid

In fact if Florentino is finally elected as new chairman, 2 of the players that would be on the market would be Guti and Raul, due to their bad relationship with him since he fired Del Bosque and Hierro. Only Valdano that would come as GM could convince them to stay. The fact is that the players that will be out (or at least in the market)are: Van Nistelrooy, Raul, Gago, Van der Vaart, Guti, Marcelo, Drenthe, Metzelder, Torres, Saviola and Javi Garcia. The others would only be sold if an out–of–the–market offer (not less than 25–30m) comes.
Thinking that Florentino almost always gets the players that he wants, don't be surprised if, regardless of the players sold, Real spends 150–200m in new players during the summer. (He was asked a few weeks ago about those quantities and he said that they werent exagerated!)

Back into the EPL, Van Bommel has revealed that Ribery is going to Barca, so if Ronaldo goes, there are many chances that MU will sign Benzema and Diego/Tevez with that money.

About L`Pool , Silva and Villa will stay in La Liga for sure, so Benitez has given up on them, but Aguero could be really close if Atletico doesn't make it to the Champions, but if Atletico gets it, Aguero will stay there. Barry and Johnson are signed for sure, and Owen seems to be on his way too.
And Etoo to Liverpool for 100k a week?, quite unbelivable regrding that Barca has said that he won't transfer him this summer and that right now he's earning 145k!!!!
Last summer Milan and Inter didnt sign him because of the huge ammount of money that he asked for – around 170k.
Its also sure that Arbeloa, Riera and Alonso are going back to Spain being replaced by Llorente that will go the other way.
Celtic are making a 1.5 million bid for Marek Cech from WBA. Strachan knows that left back is a weakness for the squad and that Darren O'Dea is not a true left back. Cech is looking forward to coming up to Scotland in a week's time to check out Paradise. Paidrag Pearse

I have taken note at what you said, however I still fail to agree, if Flamini was still there, he would not have got half the praise you are giving to Diaby and Denilson.

They both appear better going forward than defending and Song is a utility player.

So in conclusion we still need a more reliable midfielder. Veloso, Yaya Toure or Wenger swallows is pride and brings back Flamini.
Firstly to the person who claimed that Man Utd would be lucky to get £40m for Ronaldo is way off the mark (Even though I agree with you in a way)

Florentino Perez, who is 90% certain to be Real's new chairman, believes that it will take a €100m package to lure Ronaldo from Man Utd. Now Perez has said that only six of the current Real squad will be at Real next season for sure. These are Cassilas, Sergio Ramos, Pepe, Guti, Lass Diarra and Raúl. Now this doesn't mean that every other player they have are for sale, but if they get offers for say Robben they will consider it. This means United may, if they decide to sell Ronaldo, could ask for say, £40m plus Huntelaar and Robben or package like that. Real also will need to sell some of their players if they want to buy the likes of, not only Ronaldo but Káka, Silva, Villa, Alonso, Bruno Alves etc.

Lastly, I think that Ronaldo will be at Man Utd next season anyway. United could sign Antonio Valencia from Wigan and offer Nani as part of the deal on loan.
Heard this one on Saturday night,Rangers will sign Andy Driver with Velicka going the other way,the surprise addition is Aguiar is also signing on a free as he's out of contract in the summer,Wallace was mentioned but Lzaslo does'nt want to lose him unless a big bid plus player was offered.
  Liverpool Transfer News :

Ins :

G. Johnson – 8m
G. Barry – 10m
Kuba – 9m
Eto'o – 17m

Eto'o will get 100k a week, due to the strong euro he is happy with that.Torres will also get a big raise.

Outs:

Dossena – 5m – Back to Italy.Juve are faves.
Degen – £0 to Bupa research laboratory for sports science.
Lucas – 7m – To Spain.Deportivo.
Babel – Ajax – 12m
Pennant – Everton 2m
Voronin – Hertha – 3.5m
It's me again. As I said several months ago, you are now seeing more of Milly Insua – a young man destined to be one of the finest left wing–backs in the world in a few years time. Next season will be Aurelio's last as a Liverpool player. Darby will start to appear more in the squad and will within 2–3 seasons replace Arbeloa. Danny Agger will sign his contract in the next two weeks with doube the wage he is currently on. Next season expect to see Carragher play less and the preferred pairing become Marti Krtel and Danny Agger. Rafa has also been experimenting in training with differen formations one of which is 3 centre backs – Jamie, Marti & Danny – and two wing backs – Milly Insua and Arbeloa/Darby. Joe Cole remains a potential target for the right of midfield. Rafa realises Nando Torres' injury period has probably cost Liverpool the Premiership. A proven old striker will be brought in as cover – either Voronin or the return of Owen.

The sums of money being mentioned on here regarding Liverpool's summer transfer kitty are absolutely ridiculous! Its true that if we do get new owners then more money will be given to Rafa but £30million plus the amount from sales will be available ONLY. Now to the transfers. Glen Johnson will sign for around £9million, the main reason behind Portsmouth giving him a new contract a couple of months ago was to higher the price tag placed on him. Aston Villa have now all but failed to finish in the top 4 and therefore Gareth Barry will leave and will finally end up at Liverpool. He will become Rafa's Mr Versatile, but will mainly be used as a CM rotated with Alonso and Mascherano. Lucas is leaving on loan. People who are mentioning an English striker joining are right but its not the obvious option, Michael Owen, from an extremely reliable source, Ive heard its Gabby Agbonlahor. He is upset at the way Villa fans are treating him at the moment, booing him every time he even touches the ball. Him and Barry will join for combined fee of around £20million. Both would love Champions League football to further their careers.
Sheffield Wednesday are looking at offloading Richard Wood to Coventry for £1.7m, & Leon Clarke to Barnsley or Doncaster for £750k.
Along with the other departures of Peter Gilbert, Kenny Lunt & Wade Small, Brian laws will make a 3rd swoop on Wolves by adding Jody Craddock to fill the gap left by Wood.
He will sign Michael Gray on a 1 year contract, and Darren potter on a 2 year contract.

With the extra money Laws has, these players are on his radar:
Chris Sedgwick–Preston
Zheng Zhi–Charlton
Will Hoskins–Watford
Luke Varney–Derby

Don't be too surprised at the return to the scene of a well–known wealth fund regarding the acquisition of a majority share in Liverpool in the summer. Watch the press in the coming days. A close relative of mine is a finance developer in a certain Front Office who works with bonds and private hedge funds and this is the rumour going round.
To the guy who said he was a st mirren fan YOO are scotlands shame in 86 your team lay down and let celtic score 6 to take the league on goal difference it wouldn't surprise me if that is what you did earlier this season
anyway Aguiar will not be leaving he has said that he wants to be faithful to the club who payed him through his 18 months of injury and IF Andy Driver is going to leave then don't be surprised to see him go to a lower level EPL team there is no way he would join Rankers when they are not much better than Hearts now
