David Hay has spoken with Celtic about interim manager if as expected Mowbray does not see the season out.
And Lambert, definately not M Hughes is the man wanted to replaces Mowbray.
Lambert fits the bill, he will be more than happy to work with the existing squad with only minor adjustments, knows what is expected at celtic, comes with MONs recomendation, and very little compensation with escape clause already in his contract.
Lambert will be in charge next season but won't leave Norwich before the season end and play offs if need be.

To the typical liverpool fan from that well known suburb of liverpool india you can't compare liverpool to spurs or everton your right soon spurs or everton be bigger due to liverpools crippling debt. My team stoke will sign paul anderson from notts forest should forest fail to win promotion.

15 Feb 2010 20:23:01
Anyone hearing anything about nott'm forest!?

15 Feb 2010 20:27:47
Glasgow Rangers

Any rangers rumours or facts?–all is quiet on a prospective buyer.

15 Feb 2010 19:56:41
REAL Celtic news. All this talk of Hay, Lennon, Lambert etc taking over is total bull. My brother knows Davie Hay and he has not been approached. The real story – behind the smokescreen – is that Desmond has approached Mark Hughes personally. He is desperate for Keane to stay and wants to show he means business. DD will finance Hughes's wages himself. Remember the name .. From inside Lennoxtown. "LifeBhoy"

To all those comparing Liverpool with spurs, everton, etc. should just keep their mouth shut!! How can you even think of comparing Liverpool with them. Even the likes of chelsea and Arsenal are nowhere near to Liverpool or even man utd it terms of history and trophies. Liverpool are the only club in the world to have won back to back champions league.I know Liverpool are not as good as they were in the 80's, but they are just too good to compare them with spurs and everton. I'm from India and would like to say that Liverpool, Chelsae, Man utd, Arsenal have phenomenal support here but not spurs or everton. They hardly come into the picture here.Anyways, as for the takeover rumour, I can say that Roy is more likely to end up buying atleast 51% stake or buy it entirely. Sources say that he is extremely intrested in LFC.Imagine a billion hearts supporting LFC.

The Glasgow sporting news community is abuzz as Celtic is planning on bringing in Swiss defender Alain Nef this summer for 2 mln.

Where are the Nottm Forest loan rumours ?

15 Feb 2010 17:41:20
Just seen a post about Man Utd having no money to spend – that's not what the majority are saying – they are implying that Utd WILL spend and probably more than most as they usually do. However this will NOT be in the rgion of £80–£100m which many dreamers have been suggesting! (ie Silva £18m, Villa £30m, Aguero £35m (would cost far more!), Subotic £18m, Neur £10m etc)
Utd will have the usual £20m or so but don't expect a great deal more unless Vidic or Berbatov is offloaded. The size of Utd's debts will mean a far less spending strategy for the next few windows at least. The only way this will change is if the club is sold and debts paid off (no chance!)
As for claiming you will be after Richards and Ireland – Do you really think City would sell to Utd? NEVER!

15 Feb 2010 14:34:59
Birmingham will try and get Joe Hart on a permanent deal and if they don't Big Eck has already been in contact with rangers over Allan McGregor. So we will still have a strong 1st choice keeper next season.

Arsenal.Iv heard alot on this since Arsenal lost a couple of games that they will b spending loads of money on players but AW has already said he has the money to pay the the transfer fee but won't pay huge wages.Fabregas is the only 1 to braek the wage structure and to be fair he deserves it cause even thou im not an Arsenal fan id love to c him stay in the EPL.I think every 1 no's that the Chamakh deal is basically done so expect him.Neven Subotic is being scouted to replace Gallas but he signed a new contract til 2014 b4 christmas with dortmund.Stefan Savic will be brought in for around 2–3 million after completeing a successful trial with Arsenal and will b an instant hero with Gunners fans because he has turned down spurs to move to the emirates. However he is only 19 and with senderos silvestre to leave and maybe campbell AW will buy another CB if gallas turns down a 1 year rolling contract Sahko or Kjaer and with both them being 20 and wouldn't cost more than 10–12 million it would make good buisness sence and Arsene loves that as he wudnt have to streghten there for many years. The rumour about Fellaini is picking up pace and i think that will happen for around 18 million cause Everton will def want a profit of around 5 million.Chamakh will be the only stricker brought in as Dzeko will want huge wages as will Villa. As for a keeper despite denying he looked in january i think this is almunias last season at arsenal.iv heard 6 names linked with arsenal.Hart/Green/Lloris/Akinfeev/Neuer/Mandanda.The favourite is Lloris lyon and France number 1.He will cost around 10 million n more to Arsenes liking won't b on silly wages. The squad could be.
Lloris Fabainski Mannone
Sagna/Eboue/Kjaer/Vermaelen/Djourou/Savic/Clichy/Gibbs
Fabregas/Song/Diaby/Felaini/Ramsey/Denilson/Nasri/Rosicky/Wilshire
V.Persie/Arshavin/Chamakh/Walcott/Eduardo/Bendtner/Vela

15 Feb 2010 13:31:45
People saying that man u have no money to spend is rubbish, yes we having problems financially but we still have cash, don't forget only last summer we had a bid of 35m turned down for benzema. We still have this money plus the 20m we get every season.
The most likely candidates for this to be spent on is:
CB–Kjaer or Richards
MD–Silva or Ireland possibly both
FWD–Benzema

Berbatov will be sold to end nightmare at OT and if Vidic leaves which i doubt then rodwell will be signed

15 Feb 2010 11:56:12
Man utd to get a new strike force.berbatov given ultimatem . start performing or end of season will see the back of uniteds worst flop. owen not up to standard. you will see bids for either kun aguero, benzema(cack)or defoe!! oh yes defoe. the defence will need strenthening expect to see a wing back come in (no clue who, but would appricieate rumours) midfield needs a bully carrick aint the man, but is tom huddlestone?? is lee cattermole?? keeper for next season will defenately be van der sar for his final season, his understudy will be manual neuer(this is about 80% complete)foster to go to spurs and kuschak to russia with love!!

any comments please

United In's/Out's Summer 2010
In's:
Karim Benzema (£18m) – News Of The World reported that Benzema has not been as good as Madrid hoped and they hinted that United could get Benzema cheaper this season because of his flop.
David Silva (£25m) – Silva has been linked with a move to United for 2 years now. SAF hasn't made a public for him yet but Silva's agent claims United have shown strong interest in him since January. The reason talks weren't held in January was because Silva claimed he wanted to stay with Valencia until the summer so that he could concentrate on keeping his place in the Spain team. United have first choice to speak with Silva in the summer and if an agreement is agreed then United will just need to come to an agreement with the money they pay for Silva and Silva will be on his way to Old Trafford.
Hugo Lloris (£10m) – Lloris has told newspapers, internet sources and even radio stations that since he gave a shout out that he wants to win the champions league there have been interest in him from a lot of clubs with United looking for a long term successor of Van Der Sar.

Out's:
Michael Owen (free) – Owen wants to play first team football on a regular basis. As it stands at the moment, Owen has no chance of first team football at Man United unless Rooney or Berbatov suffer from an injury. Everton & West Ham are the 2 teams interested in him.
Anderson (loan with option to buy) – Anderson has stated that he has alot to show at Man United but with the lack of first team football, he can't show anything. Anderson has been linked with a move to Lyon which could be part of the Lloris deal.
Zoran Tosic (already done, loan deal to Koln) – Deal done since January 27th 2010. Loan for rest of the season.
Danny Welbeck (already done, loan deal to Preston) – Deal done since January 25th 2010. Loan for rest of season.

15 Feb 2010 12:30:07
David Villa to Liverpool FC this summer. He will be the 'big' signing, as a gesture from the new owners.

15 Feb 2010 11:38:28
Arsenal summer targets:

Adam Matthews – £5million – Cardiff City
Pablo Sarabia – Free – Real Madrid
Loic Remy – £12–14million – Nice
Marouane Chamakh – Free – Bordeaux
Raheem Sterling – £2million + Simpson – QPR
CB ???
GK ???

Kun Aguero surprise transfer to barca for 40 mil

15 Feb 2010 10:40:52
Should Marouane Fellaini move to Arsenal in the summer (would depend on sensible and realistic bids), then expect Vela, Bendtner or Eduardo to be loaned to the club with first option to buy as part of the deal. Depending on who else is brought in (along with Chamakh) one of the above 3 mentioned will be surplus to requirements. A loan deal will be more likely however as Chamakh will have to prove his worth in the league – Bendtner loan deal could be good business sense. He needs regular starting place to develop his game, Everton would give him this chance. Eduardo could be used as part of a deal for Edin Dzeko, expect this to be a permanent transfer however and NOT a loan deal.

Celtic – The rumour doing the rounds in Glasgow is not about players but the manager..despite Mowbray insisting that he is "building for the future" the current results are not going down to well in the boardroom – ALL the directors are aware of his plans but they are beginning to worry that even 2nd place is not likely this season!! Lawell has supposedly convinced Desmond that TM is the right man, but i've heard from others that IF we get to rangers game and still 10 points behind and subsequently lose that game (13 point deficit) then TM will be out by 1st March and a stop gap of Davie Hay, Billy McNeil and Neil Lennon will take us to end of season. Desmond is desperate to have Keane at Parkhead next season but realises that only better performances will help RK make his mind up..faithful through and through..JR

15 Feb 2010 10:09:51
To the blokey saying Vidic will stay and Evra will leave, i think you will find you have got it the wrong way round mate, Vidic wants to leave (due to his moaning wife) whilst Evra wants to stay, he has never indicated otherwise so i am confused to where you got that incorrect information?

Also to the Arsenal fan saying Arsenal will sign Milner, Milner will cost over 20m, he is the next big thing in English footall, if Carrick cost 17m all those years ago, Milner will easily cost in the region of 25m and Arsenal simply will not pay it lad.

There will be little happening at United in the summer unless Vidic leaves. Could be a swap deal for Benzema.

David De Gea(7mil), Jack Rodwell(17mil+ add ons), Smalling(7mil+ add ons) Benzema/Vidic Swap deal

Foster, Neville, Vidic, Tosic & Owen will vacate!

Arsenal will offload Senderos, Campbell, Silvestre, Merida & maybe Fabregas and will replace them with Savic, Sakho, Hazard and Chamakh.

Chelsea will do very little i reckon, just a striker & a right back. Joe Cole will stay, if he went anywhere in the prem it will only be United, but i am sure he just wants a huge last contract and he will probably get what he wants.

15 Feb 2010 10:14:51
A lot of Arsenal rumours on here over the last week or so. Mainly speculation with the same old suspects. Thing is, speculation is about as far as it goes because as we all know too well, AW never reveals his hand! Still some saying a CB will be signed and 'this could be Savic.' A deal for Savic has already been agreed following the completion of a 10 day trial. He is however young and inexperienced. While AW likes to blood young players in, he does not take the gamble in our back 4! Remember Kyle Bartley's horror show in last years league cup? Savic will come in, but at best he will see some league cup and reserve action until he has proven his worth. At least 1 experienced CB will be signed as this is an area where we do not currently have the strength in depth required. Subotic, Sakho, Cahill, Kjaer have all been mentioned but lets face it, it could be anyone! Harvard Nordveit to return from loan making up the numbers and Djourou will face his biggest test yet. Either he remains fit and does a job when called up, or 10/11 will be his final fling with AFC. He could also offer us some much needed cover at CDM (a position he is comfortable with). Campbell – seriously think he will be offered a pay as you play deal and will not opt for retirement. AW likely to retain his services as Silvestre is definitely on way out along with Senderos. Campbell could also play at CDM whilst Song is injured – he would be far more effective than Denilson has been and would offer a much needed physical dimension to our game in the run in. I think he could do a great job. He has the height and brute force, whilst his lack of mobility would not be such an issue as essentially his remit would be trap, tackle, pass to Fabregas or Diaby. He could also swap with Vermaelen at times throughout the game (Say if we were 2–0 up) and let Thomas increase the speed of our play. It would also make it harder for our opponents to mark the position.
A keeper does look likely, but as for spending £20+m on one – no chance! If Neur, Lloris or Akinfeev can be purchased sensibly then maybe, Fabianski should be shown the door leaving Mannone as No.2 and Sczezhny in reserve. Expect Almunia to raise around £5–6m when he is sold.
Up front there will be a few changes made. Chamakh looks to be definitely in, expect to see either Vela or Eduardo loaned out for a season (likely to be somewhere in Europe, not Premier League). If Chamakh works out then expect to see Eduardo or Vela sold in the summer of 2010/11. If a deal can be struck for another proven striker (Dzeko, Balotelli, Remy, Gignac) then Bendtner will be on his way too. Walcott to provide cover for Arshavin – he will NOT be sold. Fabregas staying where he is unless a ridiculously huge bid comes in. Should this take place, Wenger will be able to take his pick of the Barcelona squad for makeweights. Any deal would have to be concluded very early in the summer though as a late deal would throw all summer plans up in the air.
Finally, Man Utd rumours – keep them real! You will NOT be given £80m to spend in the transfer window. £25m per player is not going to be an option for you. It will be a case of retaining Rooney on a new deal and refinancing the debts. There will be money available but not enough to fund moves for Villa, Silva, Ribery etc unless the likes of Vidic/Ferdinand are sold – and then any money would be spent on covering the vacant positions!

Sven Goran Eriksson is set to join doncaster rovers bored i don't no wat it is yet but john ryan was talking to him before the forrest game. also donny are set to sign ross wallace on loan nd doncaster have had a bid accepted for BILLY SHARP

15 Feb 2010 10:16:45
Besides Chamakh, the strikers Arsene is interested in are Romelu Lukaku, Lacina Traore, and Loic Remy. On the basis of price and competition from other bidders, Lacina Traore is the one he is likely to sign.

He doesn't rate Subotic that highly and will look to Breno of Bayern Munich as an ultimate replacement for Gallas. Breno will cost, but Arsene understands that he will need to shell out.

15 Feb 2010 02:36:10
Arsenal summer dealings:
I see our team for next season looking like this:
–––––––––––Lloris–––––––––––––––––
Sagna–––Sakho–––Vermaelen–––Clichy
––––––––––––Song––––––––––––––––––
––––Fabregas–––––Diaby––––––––––––
––––––––––Arshavin––––––––––––––––
–––––Chamakh––––v.Persie––––––––––
Subs:
Fabianski
Subotic/Kjaer
Denilson
Rosicky
Nasri
Bendtner
Eduardo
Outs:
–Almunia – Spain (£2m) – Not up to the right standard, has lost his form and confidence
–Gallas – likely to leave for Italy or France as Wenger looks to the long–term
–Silvestre – out of favour, possibly to be used in a part exchange deal with PSG
–Campbell – retirement
–Traore – Newly prmoted team
–Senderos – Everton (free)
(Newcastle/WBA/Forest?) or a team lower down in the league – season long loan, not pemenant
–Vela – may go on loan to a similarly ranked team to Traore, again not permenant.
Fabregas will not be leaving as there is no better replacement that could be brought in for any amount of money and Wenger knows it. Fabregas is still as happy as ever at the Emirates and may agree to a new contract.
Ins:
–Marouane Chamakh – pre–contract agreement is all but in place, expect confirmation by Wednesday – free transfer
–Mamadou Sakho (PSG) £8m + Silvestre – will replace Gallas and form a very solid partnership with Vermaelen
–Hugo Lloris – (Lyon) £10m – yet again the French connection will work in our favour and the France no.1 will replace Almunia as first choice keeper
–Subotic/Kjaer – will be signed to make up the four centre backs in the squad with current back up in this position set to leave, Djourou will come back to fitness to provide further back up to Vermaelen and Sakho.

In Arsene We Trust

Chelsea's summer

FWD: 1. Pato or Aguero

Pato or Aguero, we need a young forward who is a proven scorer, Pato would be preferable due to the Ancelotti connection, but we've been consistently linked to Aguero…either would be fine and wouldn't be needed until Anelka goes, that could be this summer, I'd personally prefer next one though, so Pato/Aguero could have 12 months more at their respective clubs.

2. David Villa, Fernando Torres, Giampaolo Pazzini, Bafetimbi Gomis, or Nilmar

The all important 2nd/3rd Striker which we really lack at present, sell Kalou, though not to any EPL clubs, Barca were apparently interested in him not long ago, that would be fine. Villa would be great, imagine him up front with Drogba, El Nino would be better still given his age and PL experience but it really requires LFC not to qualify for the Champions League if we want him, we also have to fend off Citeh bids. Pazzini is also a possibilty but he seems more interested in Juve than Chelsea. Bafetimbi Gomis is also known as little Drogba, enough said. Nilmar is now starting for Brazil but is really only the 3rd striker at Villareal, he'd be easy to tempt away. Ideally we'd have Villa or El Nino, but after them I think a younger player like Mata or a player in the Drogba mold, Gomis would be ideal.

3. Romelu Lukaku

The youth striker. We already have Sturridge, Borini, Kakuta, di Santo and Miroslav Stoch for the future up front, add Pato or Aguero and the only thing missing is a Drogbalike, like Romelu Lukaku, he is killing in the Belgian league, he's only 16 he's 6ft 3 and his favorite team is Chelsea, he must come to the Bridge!

MID: 1. Franck Ribery or David Silva

Midfield game changer, Deco was supposed to play this role, indeed if he were the Deco of the Porto/Barca era he would play this role with aplomb. He is however the Deco of the Chelsea era. What we need now is either Franck Ribery or David Silva to fulfill this role.

2. Bastian Schweinsteiger

Ballack's long term replacement, A commanding central mid and dead ball specialist, Schweiney has all the attributes we need from Ballack, and he's several years younger.

3. Marek Hamsik, Angel di Maria or Alan Dzagoev (preferably two)

Attacking Midfield Weapon, Lampard (plus Mellis) fulfill the AM role well now, what I think we need is more explosion off the bench than Joe Cole and Yuri Zhirkov can provide, we should consider Hamsik, di Maria and Dzagoev for this role. Di Maria has been a Chelsea target far longer than Man U and with the probable move for Malouda in the summer and the possibility of Ribery going too RM or Barca (i don't see a move to either Manchester) di Maria will be a necessary recruit, maybe a swap Deco for di Maria.

4. Alex Teixeira, Miralem Pjanic, Urreta, Thiago Alcantara

The youth quartet who would help us rule Europe for the coming decade we need as many of these 4 as we can sign.

DEF: 1. Juan Manuel Vargas, Neven Subotic and Dani Alves

Our apparent plans for Defensive regeneration rely upon Subotic and Alves, I'd like to see a back up for Ashley Cole in Vargas as well.

14 Feb 2010 23:07:45
Manchester United.

Goalkeepers: No–one will be coming in. VDS is going to have one more year in between the sticks before possibly hanging up his boots. Amos and Zieler are starting to come good, so back–up is not required. Foster may be sold but will definitely at least leave on loan. Kuszczak will definitely stay.

Defenders: Vidic will not be leaving. Back–up may be bought in either the shape of Kjaer or no–one will be purchased and Chiellini will be brought in during summer 2011, when Ferdinand is really starting to lose it. Expect Wes to leave and a new man to come in at right–back. Sergio Ramos is SAF's number one target. Gary Neville may retire as he is not what he was. Evra may leave for Barcelona or even Real, with Utd looking at Davide Santon to come in or even Aly Cissokho of Lyon.

Midfielders: Angel di Maria will definitely be joining. £24 miilion fee. Nani will stay, as will Anderson and Owen Hargreaves. Valencia will, without a doubt, be a Man Utd player next season, despite interest from Barcelona. Carrick is expected to leave for Arsenal, Chelsea or Bayern Munich. Tosic will leave for a nominal fee. Paul Scholes may move on as there will be limited game time next season. Moussa Sissoko and Tom Huddlestone are possibilities to being brought in. Darren Fletch will stay of course.

Attackers: Rooney staying. Legend. Michael Owen to leave. Welbeck, Diouf and Joshua King to leave on loan. Benzema will join. £21 million. Berbatov to stay. 100%.

The Trump Card

14 Feb 2010 23:53:19
Blackburn and Wigan are interested in securing the services of Cardiff's young midfielder Aaron Wildig.

It is thought that a summer bid of £1, 000,000 will be enough for the Welshman to move to either Ewood Park or the DW Stadium.

14 Feb 2010 23:54:26
Raheem Sterling is going to West Ham on a 3 year deal.

InTheKnow.

14 Feb 2010 23:59:17
Pompey will face the most difficult week of their life this week.

If they cannot convince HMRC and the courts to get more time in which to pay creditors etc. then they will be wound up.

The Premier League wants to make an example of them and, when I recently spoke to an FA County Official, was told that senior people in the FA would rather the club go for good as it is tarnishing the league's image.

Expect a much tougher stance for ALL teams as from next season. Clubs will have more accountability and there are plans to police finances on an on–going basis.

SKY has a lot to answer for..

14 Feb 2010 22:43:29
Mowbary has been given the next THREE games by the celtic board to get solid consistency with results or he will be sacked with Davia Hay being sounded out to take the team along with niel lennon till the end of the season.
D.D. the top money man who personally financed the 1.3 million loan deal for keane is said to be furious and wants him out now but has been persueded to wait two more weeks in the hope they can beat rangers at ibrox.
The talk is Paul Lambert is being seriously discussed as a replacement along with Willie Macstay as assistent manager.
These are facts not rumours.
