WHUFC UPDATE–
David Gold & Sullivan have won the race to buy West Ham United for a reported 100 million which will be finalised by the end of the week, so I would expect them to be there at Villa Park. I would expect Gianluca Nani (The Italian Harry Redknapp) and Scott Duxbury to get the boot and will be unsuprisingly replaced by Karen Brady. As for Zola's future, Gold & Sullivan are willing to let him spend 20 million in January aslong as we at least get a win against Portsmouth next Tuesday. If West Ham lose to Aston Villa and Portsmouth Zola will be sacked and the favouraties for the job would be:
1) Mark Hughes (the favouratie),
2) Roy Hodgson,
3) Alan Curbishley.
The Signings will be–
Alan Hutton (4m)
David Bentley (8m)
David Wheater (5m)
Roque Santa Cruz (Loan).
UP THE IRONS!!!

LFC News
Benitez has to try hard to keep his job. He has been warned that loosing to Stoke means he is out. In the case that we win Stoke he still has to win all the other games we have until the beginning of February. This means Spurs, Wolves and Bolton.
Now onto transfers.
Babel is going by next week and Rafa will try to get Arda Turan or Jeremy Menez. There will be no swap deal.
Chamakh has not signed and will not be signing with us atleast. It looks like someone beat us to it, I don't know who but it maybe Arsenal.
Torres and Gerrard are not going anywhere. If any of the two give an ultimatum in the form "Me or Rafa" the club has already decided it will be Rafa.
Ownership news.
As Purslow already confirmed they have a takeover offer. It looks like it will go through soon and we are talking about full ownership. When I say soon, I mean really really soon. So say goodbye to the Americans.
Mr.C

To the person who claimed:

15 Jan 2010 20:28:13
Owen Coyle set to snap up Aiden Mcgeady for bolton with an 8 million pound bid, this comes straight from the reebok staff!

Total lies, TM said today that McGeady is going nowhere, Celtic are in a situation where if they don't want to sell they don't have to, and any offers for McGeady are a waste of time 'cos he's going nowhere.

Celtic set to snap up Markus Jonnson an old team mate of new signing, Jos Hooiveld's, they played well together at AIK, and he's available for free.

Thomas Rogne also set to sign, the 19 year old is also available for free.

Didane is set to join Celtic because Lens are worried they won't recieve payments for the loan offer at portsmouth, so celtic are set to take him up to the scottish giants.

Mowbray so far has two signings, and said to expect anything up to 10 new signings by end of window.

Heard a rumour down the local that Dave King is still trying to raise enough collateral to persuade Lloyds Plc to accept his proposal to clear debt and restore Rangers to former glories. He has apparently got a vision and this involves bringing in some cheap young skillful players from the South African league. A young kid by the name of Mokoena has been mentioned. I heard he's fast and skillful but a bit injury prone. Also some players from Orlando Pirates being touted. As I said before this was from a an old guy in the boozer so I'm taking it with a pinch of salt! Broxi's whisper

15 Jan 2010 20:42:36
Further to my post two days ago on transfer targets currently being pursued by Messrs Purslow & Benitez, I am delighted to confirm that in the last 24 hours several news sources have reported that Milan Jovanovic's agent has been in England for talks over a potential move to the Merseyside club – however, on the eve of arguably Liverpool's biggest game since the 2007 Champions League, it remains to be seen as to whether any business will be done for the summer with the seemingly insecure position of the club's manager.

I have also just received some information regarding the future of Chelsea and England international Joe Cole. As most people are aware Joe is out of contract at the end of the season and talks over a new contract have not reached fruition. I am led to believe that Ancelotti is not entireley convinced by the player and hence the club baulking at his agents wage demands which I understand are somewhere in the region of £6 million a year.

My feeling is that a compromise deal between the two parties will be reached, however the players representatives have already been contacted by both Milanese clubs with a view to a move in the summer, whilst there have also been expressions of interest from both Real Madrid and Barcelona. Needless to say, half a dozen Premiership clubs would also be interested.

Personally, I think Chelsea are playing a very dangerous game and are banking on the fact that Joe's very settled, as well as his loyalty and affinity with the club's fans. However, there is a very real possibility that Joe could opt for a new challenge in what would be a potentially lucrative move that could resurrect his career.

Burnley are in talks with nottm forest to sign Dexter Blackstock for £2m with Van der Shaaf heading in the other direction.

If Harry's tax problem doesn't go away he will retire to the South coast. Spurs (like everyone) would like Gus Hiddink.

LFC Gerrard will try his hand abroad probablly Spain likely Barca as he is not keen on another Prem club playing against Liverpool. Torres to Madrid as the Galatico signing after world cup

MUFC tracking David Moyles as successor to SAF how good can he be with a good squad and a budget.

Derby to dispense with Clough (sadly not in his dada league)after his compensation in comes Mark Hughes

15 Jan 2010 21:36:31

Arsenal news:
Sol Campbell is to finalise his Arsenal deal tonight. The reason he will not be in the squad for the Bolton game on Sunday is that Wenger fully expects Senderos, who is undoubtably the weakest player in our squad and is the only player who does not want to be at the club, to leave the Emirates sometime next week, with Everton, Atletico Madrid and Getafe most interested, and Wenger will then pass on the number 6 shirt to Campbell. Senderos will leave for a fee of around £5m. No other players will leave. Not Silvestre, who is underrated and brings great experience to the squad, not Merida, who will sign a new 5 year deal at the Emirates by the end of the month and certianly not captain fantastic Fabregas. Cesc will be an Arsenal player this time next year and maybe for a number of seasons to come. Wenger has learnt from his mistakes in selling the likes of Flamini and Hleb and realises the importance of keeping the squad together, and with Cesc being the spine of the team, Wenger knows that with the sound finances at the club that Cesc is priceless. The only departures this month will be Senderos for £5m and Jack Wilshere on loan to West Ham, where he will gain vital premier league experience and further establish himself as one of the world's brightest young stars. As for the guy who said Arshavin would go to Barcelona for £42m, get real! Arshavin is a world superstar and there is no better player Wenger could bring to Arsenal as an adequate replacement.

As for players comming in, don't expect more than 1 player to be brought in once Campbell has finalised his move. Wenger still has his eyes firmly set on a striker. The name cropping up more and more lately is Lazio's Mauro Zarate. Zarate's agent has stated that the player does want to leave Lazio and would be interested in a move back to England, having enjoyed a successful loan spell at Birmingham 2 seasons ago. Despite the player's release clause being around £40m, It is rumoured he could be prized from Italy for as little as £17m, which Wenger would consider paying for such a talent, particularly with him only being 22. Wenger would not fork out £40m for any player, so this means no David Villa and no Edin Dzeko. No goalkeeper will be signed, as Almunia is still a very good keeper and there is great backup in Fabianski and Mannone, who will one day be one of the world's great keepers. Expect to see Gallas to sign a new 2 year deal with the club by next month.

The team is going from strength to strength and with Campbell's arrival and the signing of a quality striker we will be a serious threat to the league and the Champions League in the rest of the season.

TORRES TO MAN CITY DEAD CERT GET TO THE BOOKIES
Here is the breakdown for the £75m deal.
Mark Hughes has asked mcfc for £7m compo but mcfc are only willing to pay £4m until this matter is resolved then Mark Hughes can't work for any other club. Liverpool want rid of Rafa but can't afford the compo to pay him off aswell as have any funds for the new manager to make the position more apealing to him and to get a few players. Liverpool also can't afford to pay any compo to any other club to take there manager so they can forget mourinho (he's also going to mcfc in summer) they need a manager who is already out of a job. This is where Mark Hughes comes into it Liverpool have agreed to let City have Torres providing city pay what Mark Hughes wants so they can get him in quick with a few quid to spend aswel. The owners have told Torres if he wants to jump the sinking ship he is to play the bad guy on this one because they really want to come out smelling of roses on this one because it is the only way they can save the club from a bottom half of the table finish this year. Trust me on this one Guys and Gals it will all unfold before your very eyes over the next week or so."

NO ONE OUTSIDE ANFIELD KNOWS WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN UNTIL THE CLUB TELLS US

AS FOR RAFA, DIDN'T WANT HIM WHEN APPOINTED, BUT HE GAVE ME THE BEST FOOTBALL NIGHT OF MY LIFE ISTANBUL!! AND HIS RECORD TILL THE LAST 15 MATCHES WAS GOOD

STOP HAMMERING THE TEAM AND THE MANAGEMENT SHOW REAL SUPPORT, ITS THE LIVERPOOL WAY.

LASTLY TREAT THE MEDIA AND ALL THESE SO CALLED EXPERTS WITH THE CONTEMPT THEY DESERVE, REMEMBER THE SAYING, 'THOSE THAT CAN DO, THOSE THAT CANNOT TALK ABOUT IT'

REMEMBER THOSE SAME EXPERTS WERE RAVING ABOT LIVERPOOL FOR THE SECOND HALF OF LAST SEASON, GOOD PLAYERS DON'T SUDDENLY BECOME BAD PLAYER. WE LOST JUST ONE MAIN PLAYER SINCE LAST SEASON, AND HE WANTED TO GO, WE HAD NO CHOICE IN THE MATTER, NOR DID RAFA...

To the person who put beckham to everton! maybe your right he does know neville from his united days fairly well i should guess but as for "knowing david moyes well from his preston days" he was there only a few months and played only 5 times. And he left man united in july 2003, saha signed in january 2004 so he probably doesn't know saha at all

After missing out on Keane and Nish, Celtic are actively pursuing Higdon of St Mirren. Big Tony hopes that Higdon's prowess in the box – something he feels is missing from the current front line – will allow Celtic to hold off Hibs and Dundee Utd and secure a Champion's League play off spot.

Why do all the man city fans think that torres will move there. He wil only move to a club that is playing champions league football and even if city do finish in the top 4 he would go to a club that is more likely to win it like chelsea.

It's true gerrard and benetiz have fell out. Apparently torres didn't ask to get subbed in the first half of the game and yet benetiz took it upon his own back. Lookily it has turned out that he is injured bt not to the degree the papers are saying. Now gerrard has said he doesn't want to play under benetiz. And by the end of january benetiz will be gone. Hence Gerrard is conviently injured for 2 to 3 weeks i.e the end of january. King kenny will come in and in my opinion it wil be the best move that the yanks have done yet. As he will get the passion back into the players. Players will still go babel, mascherano 30 mil to barca and maybe even benayoun bt King kenny been looking already for new signings. Loan move for bojan looking likly involved with the mascherano deal with a fee argeed to sign him end of year if lfc want for 12 million. However the yanks won't allow more than five – 10 mil to spend by King Kenny as in the summer his job will be assesed again as he doesn't no wether he wants it full time.

15 Jan 2010 15:46:33
Heard from a reliable source... that's how these things usually start, that 2 maybe 3 man utd "fringe" players will be heading to Rangers on loan for at least the rest of this season.

Nigel Clough has 3 games to save his job. The Derby County fans are turning against him as are the current board. He will be removed IF they suffer a defeat against arch rivals Nottingham Forest.

Emile Heskey is pushing for a move back to Liverpool but Martin O'Neil refuses to let him go and considers him a vital part of this seasons campaign.

David James's move to Stoke almost complete, just finalising personal terms & should be announced before Monday. He will sign a 2 year contract.

Nottingham Forest will NOT sign Nicky Shorey on permanent deal even though Billy Davies wants him. The Forest transfer comittee and Aston Villa are miles apart in their valuations of the player.

Me and my wife spoke to a couple of unnamed Spurs players on saturday night at a club we and they regularly frequent. They told us of a potential move on the cards between them and my team (Mighty BCFC). They wouldn't tell me who but we've been linked with Roman Pavlyuchenko. I hope not! I wouldn't say that to them as they reckon he's a good lad in the dressing room, and apparently impressive in other departments. If we sign him, it'll be as bad as killing kittens.

Lets hope not.Jim

Jermaine Beckford is in Southampton ready to sign terms, after expressing his desire to be part of the Saints 4–year Premier League plan. Saints are also trying to sign Nathan Tyson and Brian Stock. Neil Danns from Crystal Palace is certain to follow in Jose Fonte footsteps! Finally, according to a very reliable source within the Saints setup, they are talking to Rivaldo over an extroadinary 9 month deal worth £38, 000 per week! You heard it hear first!

I predicted the signing of Fonte & Seabourne!

Campbell to partner Gallas and Vermaelen to be used as defensive mid until Song returns? Campbell hasn't played for months, it'll take him a decent run of games in the reserves before he's match fit. The bench is where Campbell will be – with Gallas and Vermaelen where they've been all season. Diaby to continue in midfield, no DM in now until summer. As Senderos is about to leave, the short term contract for Campbell is to allow the move whilst keeping the numbers level. Arsene has a player earmarked for CB in the summer. By the looks of it, its a highly rated player too as they're either cup tied (CL) or too much a key player to be released right now. One thing is for sure, any rumours on here about AFC ins and outs will be just that, rumours. Wenger never reveals his cards! So any claims of milkmen, double glazing salesmen or dogwalkers being a close source to AW – jog on! Nobody saw the Campbell deal coming – yet every man and his dog claims we're after Hazard, Gignac, Chamakh, Villa etc. What the hell do you know? Seriously... just wait.

15 Jan 2010 15:16:28
Steven Pienaar to Liverpool? More likely Steven Hawkins mate!

As for some real rumours

Big 'Eck or Guus Hiddink to take over from Rafa.
David James isn't going to Stoke.
Chris Martin is attracting the intrest of several Championship sides notably Bristol City and Watford.

15 Jan 2010 14:11:21
Everton are pulling together a shock bid to bring back David Beckham to the premiership next season.

Moyes knows him well from his loan spell at preston and obviously knows Neville and Saha from his united days.

HIBERNIAN FOOTBALL CLUB

I can 100% confirm that Derek Riordan and Tony Stokes will not be leaving Easter road in January or in the summer. There is a distinct possibility that Sol Bamba will sign for Blackburn Rovers in the summer(depending on the fee, likely to be in the region of £3m, although Hibs have a sell on percentage to pay Dunfermline).

Darren Barr has been offered a 3 year contract at Easter Road, this contract will not be upped in either length or in re numeration terms. Expect more loanees to go following the announcement of the U19 at the start of Jan, thought to be Byrne to Dundee.

Liam Millar will leave Hibs in the summer, destination Wolves.

Alan Gow will be signed before January ends, he will not command a first team role immediately.

Yves Makalaambay will be at Easter Road until the summer as young Flynn not ready to take the step up as yet.

Hearts tried and failed to land Kevin Kyle.

My uncle is the groundsman at Old Trafford and he heard that Lisandro Lopez 17.5m and luka modric 25m will sign before the end of the window.

Hello Football Lovers!!!

Its me, Coleen from Blackrod, Bolton's biggest fan and the bringer of good news!!!

Two weeks ago I was correct in telling you that we were getting Coyle.

Last week I was correct in telling you when Coyle would be unveiled.

This week I was correct in telling you we are after Colin Cohen of Nottm Forest. We will pay £4.75 in total for this rampant box invader. Forest have already agreed to sell him, just the player has to be sorted now but he his looking forward to joining up with his brother Tamir.

You may wonder what happened to Desmond Bloodstock, also of Notts Forest, as this looked like a done deal. He failed his medical because of ingrowing toenails. Eeurrgh, what a beast!

So, new news today is that we'll only do a deal with Newcastle's Andy Carroll if he signs a clause in his contract banning those silly hair styles he has. We're enough of a laughing stock as it is.

Finally, Nigel Clough has been on the phone offering us Kris Commons but Owen Coyle, who doesn't like fake scotch people, is thought not to fancy the plumper from Derby.

Have a great weekend everyone,

XXXX COLEEN YOW XXXX

Leon Best's move to West Brom is still on, but Coventry are hoping for a better fee and sell–on clauses.

Elliot Ward's move to Southampton from CCFC was called off because the Saints chairman was angry Ward didn't call him back during the Portsmouth match on Tuesday.

Look why do people insist on making fools of themselves by writing utter rubbish on here!!! If (and its a very big IF) Rafa was leaving, how would any of you kow who was replacing him? If by some fluke you did know how the hell would you know who that manager would target? If by some miracle you knew that how the hell do you know what player would come or whether that players club would sell him? Stop with the lying and the wishful thinking.
Talking about wishful thinking have heard quite a lot of chat around anfield saing that the club are in talks with Arda Turan??? This has to mean that Babel is on his way because otherwise we have not got any money?? Also heard Chamakh has committed to LFC on a pre–contract and not for the ridiculous 25m reported in the papers??? This is what is being discussed around anfield at the mo' Personally i reckon we will have another look at the Joe cole and Jeremy Menez situationsas both could seriously bolster are injury ravaged squad!! An d the gooner who has written us off, get a life lad and concentrate on your own team!!

Blackburn in crisis! Dunn to be sold to Fulham for 2mil with nevland coming the other way. Samba to go to Wigan for 4m and pedersen to be released

15 Jan 2010 12:49:34
To the bloke who slated the other bloke talking about Harry Redknapp saying this:

"Why put rubbish on here – If your gonna post put facts up! For a start Jamie Redknapp isn't his son it's his nephew – but you knew that having met him???"

You must be thinking of Frank Lampard Snr mate – Harry's his dad for sure!!!

Anyhow – it looks like a Houllier/ Evans style management forceout is about to happen (officially or unoffically) at Liverpool with Dalglish steadying Benitez's eratic behaviour but ultimately making his position untenable – forcing him to resign) There is definitely a consideration in place for Rafa to go (board negotiated a departure fee well before Xmas.)

15 Jan 2010 12:19:20

Arsenal will use Cambell at the back with Gallas and TV will play the holding role in front of them. AW may bid for Canales but will not use this as direct solve for RVP /Bendtner problem. Theres also a train of thought that diaby may play up top!

15 Jan 2010 11:54:19
Steven Pienaar to Liverpool.

£6million, will happen in a few days.

The Ginger Leopoard.

15 Jan 2010 11:54:35
Ryan Babel has attracted interest from France with Marseille preparing £10m bid for him. With Amantino Mancini's move to the Stade Veledrome looking unlikely, Marseille chiefs are moving quickly to tie up the deal with Liverpool. Philipp Degen will move to Stuttgart for £2m to team up with a former boss. With £18m in the bank and ready to use, Rafa will sign another winger and a striker. Diego Tardelli is Rafa's number one target and can be signed for £6m. Arda Turan is also on Rafa's wishlist and could sign for £12m before January 31

15 Jan 2010 11:07:20
Watford look set too loose out on Steven MacLean.
The Hornets boss wants him to fight for a contract with an offer of a loan until the end of the season. MacLean is looking for the comfort of a contract.

"The police investigation into Harry Redknapp's alleged wrong–doings has, understandably, had a profound affect on him and his family.

I have met his son, Jamie, and he told me that his father is considering quitting football for good as he is under a lot of stress. His doctor is worried about his blood pressure and has advised Harry to consider a 'sabbatical'.

Harry will leave Spurs and retire from management and football for good this summer, although he may invest a sum in AFC Bournemouth which is a club dear to his heart."

Why put rubbish on here – If your gonna post put facts up! For a start Jamie Redknapp isn't his son it's his nephew – but you knew that having met him???

Keep an eye on Rafa – rumours in spain Real are looking at him to take over....just wait and see {editor's note – I think you will find it is Frank Lampard that is his nephew, Jamie is definitely his son.}

Regarding this Axel Witsel rumour!
Don't be too quick to dismiss this 100%, There are reasons it could have some basis.
Milan Mandaric, some years ago' OWNED Standard Liege, and is still supposedly on extremely good terms with the current regime.
Secondly, MM has some extremely persuasive connections throughout Europe, and can pull off the most unlikely of moves..Prosinecki to Pompey being an example. Don't forget too that Tunchev is strongly rumoured to have chosen '3rd tier' Leicester over two Bundesliga teams including a former European Champions!!

15 Jan 2010 10:56:05
Big rumour today is that with Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti vowing not to spend in the january transfer window despite the transfer ban coming in, in the summer. He is going to offload players, Soloman Kalou and Joe Cole. Soloman Kalou to rising team Birmingham for an estimated £9 million, then Joe Cole supposadly to Tottenham for £12 million. Despite this money coming in, Ancelotti is still certain he is not spending in this january transfer window.

St mirren news.. Dorman to follow Mcginn to Watford. It seems like he will be be signing a pre contract very soon.

To the person asking for futther information regarding David Gill.

Gill has been meeting many investors over the past 12 months, mainly to try and drum up intrest in the Bonds. However, he has also been using these meetings as a platform to bring together a consortium to take the club out of the Glazers hands.

I fear this is one of the reasons why the Glazers have been headhunting for a new CEO in the states for some time. Has word got back to them of Gills intentions.

Letting Gill go would actually be the best thing for Gill, he would have more time to drum up intrest in his consortium.

The biggest stumbling block would be the price the Glazers would want for the club.

A bid was received for the club only 5 months ago from an asian consortium, they offered £1.25Bn and the Glazers rejected it.

The Glazers insist they have the club in a better position than it was when they bought it, and are holding out for £1.5Bn. The Buyer however would also have to clear the £507M loan secured on United and it's assets, so in truth, somebody would have to have over £2Bn to sucessfully aquire the club.

Gill knows he was responsible for this fiasco, he was the one who cleared the path for the Glazers by advising the Shareholders to accept the offer price on the shares, something he now deeply regrets. He has vowed to make amends for the only blot on his distinguised career.

His deal with any investor/consortium would be subject to very strick contractual rules.

First of all the investors/consortium would never own more than 60% of the club, with the remaining 40% being held by the Manchester United Supporters Trust. This would ensure that no takeover could ever happen again, unless it was the right thing for the club, and agreed on by both the current investors, and the fans. It would also put at least 2 Fans onto the board of directors.

Secondly, each individual will be contarctually obliged to remain within the consortium for a minimum of 10 years, same for a single investor if they bought the club on their own.

This weeks trip to the middle east was far more than a winter break. Especially for Gill.

BIG MANCHESTER UNITED RUMOUR

I have it on good authority that the reign of Sir Alex will end this season.

Although Man Utd are doing well, comparatively speaking, Fergie has already noticed there is danger ahead. The finances are not good at Old Trafford and the Glazers are asset–strippers of the worst kind.

They will not give him any money in the Summer, and Joel Glazer allegedly told Sir Alex to his face that he was 'old hat' and that 'we run this club, not you'.

Anybody who knows Sir Alex knows that he is nobody's fool – even Liverpool and Arsenal fans will tell you that – and if he has no respect from his employers then he will leave.

Sir Alex has been asked by the Rangers consortium if he would consider a role as a Director of Football, working alongside Walter Smith, and blooding Ally McCoist as a manager who can make Rangers a force in European football.

Don't expect Mourinho, Rijkaard or even Sven to set foot near Old Trafford – they know that the club is drowning in debt and that the 'sword of Damocles' is poised and ready to fall very soon.

As somebody already mentioned, Manchester United could soon be in the Championship – they could fall harder than that! Local derbies with Bury, Rochdale and Stockport could well be the highlight of their season in future, unless they are bought out....by Goldenballs himself ;–)!

15 Jan 2010 05:26:21
I used to go to school with Joe Ledley, and am still in touch with him today.

I texted him earlier today asking about if he was moving – he said 'yes – taking 2 everton, celtic, blackburn, fulham, wolves and stoke, will be glad to get away from the who keep booing me.'

So there you go, hope you're glad those that booed him – you've got what you wanted in bullying him out of the club. Should be ashamed the lot of you.

Dave Jones (not that one....or am I? ;)

15 Jan 2010 03:21:38
Seriously! would people stop posting stupid things, Jose Mourinho to go to Liverpool and buy all these random players for millions and millions – IF (which I highly doubt) he was to go to Liverpool in the summer how would you know who hes already going to sign? just stop lying and get a life.
Man United fans who keep saying they are going to buy Benzema and sell the likes of Nani and Anderson for £20m a piece you must be as dumb as the scouts who saw potential in Nani in the first place. The facts are theres no money at the moment for United to spend and if there was why would Real Madrid sell Benzema who has had a good start to his career in Spain for less then they bought him 6 months ago? if your going to make something up at least make it plausable. I mean if Juventus were going to sell Chelienni (spelling is bad) then they are going to ask for alot more then Anderson swap deal.

As for real rumours.

David James has joint Stoke City and should be annouced by tomorrow – Sorenson looks to be going to Bayern Munich but expect competition from Arsenal and Man United who may try and hi–jack the deal as a proven Premiership goalkeeper is hard to come by.

Senderos looks to be moving to the Serie A with contract talks undergoing with a un–named club. The signing may go through in the summer but Arsenal are hoping to get some money and get rid now to save wages.

Arsenal are also looking at a number of players at the moment and expect a signing before deadline day maybe Zarate if Wenger can get the price for the Argentine down from a rediculous €40m. If not there are other targets (Cole and Gignac are not two of them anymore). Also Arsenal have signed a young Bolivian stricker/AM who has been dubbed as a (dare I say it "wonderkid". The 17 year old was on trail at Everton but after Moyes delayed talks Wenger swooped in and signed the player for £500k subject to a work permit which is being discussed and looks likely as the Arsenal officials have filed for it under "exceptional ability" hoping the players potential will seal the deal.

Thank you, N_

Harry will leave Spurs and retire from management and football for good this summer, although he may invest a sum in AFC Bournemouth which is a club dear to his heart.

Who will come in as the new Spurs boss? Well, don't rule out Martin Jol coming back but smart money is on Gerard Houllier or Avram Grant with Grant the more likely to make the move to White Hart Lane.

Also more good news for Spurs is that the club is that the club will announce pre–tax profits for the last financial year, and a decision on the new stadium will be made soon.

WEST BROM NEWS!!!

RDM has struck a deal with Man City for some of the fringe players to get playing time. The Italaian connection will stem to Napoli to get a highly rated goal scorer as he knows we will finish out of the top six with our current crop. Expect a bid for Moses on loan when Man city buy him as an investment. JP has been seeing the light of past managers and is willing to spend in the January window....

15 Jan 2010 02:00:19
To the person who mentioned about Axel Witsel going to Leicester...Surely your not on about the very highly–rated Axel Witsel, the one who has been linked in the past to some of the biggest clubs in Europe. There's no way he'd go to Leicester.

Anyway, a real fact...Cardiff City will have some fresh investment in the coming week from American billionnaires. Expect a big change in the Welsh team's attitude. Ledley to leave on a free, and good riddance at that.

15 Jan 2010 02:14:39
Arsene Wegner has turned his sights to Brest striker Nolan Roux now that he has lost out on Chamakh to Liverpool. Look for Nolan Roux to transfer for 3 million Euros by the end of the month. And don't believe about Mauro Zarate for 40 mln. Wenger isn't stupid.

14 Jan 2010 23:08:30
Where the hell do people get these Bristol City rumours from. I can tell you even though the chairman has loads of money he is not prepared to let the manager spend any more until quite a few have been shipped out.

Unfortuanetly the supporters think they are a bigger club that what they are and the chairman ( SL) has started to lose some of his enthusiasim.

################Leicester City News################

Leicester city scouts have been keeping a close eye on Axel Witsel, who currently plays for Standard Liège in Belgium. The 21 year old is thought to be a hot talent and Leicester want to get him fast before other clubs start sniffing around. It is also reported that he would cost around 2–3 million euros, which Milan Manderich would be able to finance the transfer, as Nigel Pearson seems to be fond of the 6ft Midfielder.

I have it on good authority that Liverpool will be selling Torres in the summer once Rafa is back in Spain. None other than Jose Mourinho will be taking up the Anfield mantle and will be bankrolled with the Torres money and additional funds freed up by the Yanks (who are prepared to gamble on the transfers of Mourinho but not the waiter).

January Ins

Maxi Rodriguez = done deal
possibly 1 or 2 loan signings

Summer Ins

Samuel Eto = £30mill
Douglas Maicon £18mill
Estaban Cambiasso £20mill
Joe Cole Free transfer
Maurouane Chamakh Free done deal
Micah Richards £8mill

The clearout that has already started with Voronin/Dossena will continue with Babel, Riera, Mascherano and Agger being shipped out by Jose.

To whoever posted about Gill being forced out of Man Utd

Do you have any more information? I have heard that Gill wants to wrest back control of the club and has met investors in London including David Dein (the two were seen recently in a restaurant near Canary Wharf).

Gill will not go quietly, and if Man Utd get relegated next season the Glazer's investment will be worthless.

Liverpool and Man Utd in the Championship? Don't laugh, it could well happen – I can see the same happening over at Eastlands before long too!

15 Jan 2010 00:06:45
After pedersen being booed as he was substituted he imediately handed in a transfer request and blackburn look to be selling him to Celtic for £600,000. Due to arrive in Scotland at the start of next week to sign.

Gomis from Dundee United to sign for Celtic for £800k to cover for the injured N'Guemo. N'guemo to sign permanent contract with Celtic after the African Cup of Nations. Boruc, Brown and McGeady to all stay at Celtic for the forseeable future and Celtic to sign some real quality players in the summer from Germany and Holland.

1 in a row, Here we go.

I work as a Youth Development officer at Murray Park with Jimmy Sinclair and Raymond Farley, So I have an insight on whats going on at Rangers , Firstly there is a Buy–out in Place a Bid has gone into the Bank which I believe is short ! But its in the interest or both parties to come to an agreement, been told this will be done before the end of Jan.
We had a staff meeting about our positions with the club and been assured that the buy–out in place will secure all staff within the football department, but some staff have been asked to take wage reductions and certain arears outside the football department, such as catering, hospitality and ticketing will take wage reductions and staff cuts.
I spoke to Thomo, he told me Boyd is 100% signing the contract offered, Novo will also sign a new contract. For Flecky & Danny yes they have had new offers but its the length of deals that they are wanting not the money offer. been told this will be sorted soon.
This window no–one will be leaving. Bougey will go at the end of the season but that's not his final decision.
There is trailists in at the moment a Goalkeeper which looks not bad , but in my view not as good as Alan or Alexander. A couple of younger boys training with the 19s . But on monday ther will be two more trialist coming in, don't know anything about them sorry.
I hope this info keep all Rangers fans updated

I am also pals with Robert Snodgrass yes who is a Celtic fan but speaking with him said he is staying at Leeds, but have had a few clubs interested in him.

To the guy that said Carlton Cole to Arsenal, will be announced next week some time.as we are probably all aware the club is likely to be taken over very shortly so i doubt anything will happen until the deal is complete, you can't negotiate a price to a potential buyer and at the same time start selling its best players before they walk through the door. and after that i would assume the new owners are not going to want to sell one of its best assets if it is thinking of taking the team forward.a complete non starter i am afraid.

Consortium will take control of Rangers before the end of the season but no significant funds will be made available for signings. Those days are over. Our future model relies on experienced pro's and exciting youngsters. Expect Walter Smith to step down in the summer.

Rangers set to sign Russell Anderson on a bosman, good cover for the obviously departing Bougherra (either this window or next).

Celtic are trimming their squad to cope with the possibility of not winning the league and gaining champions league football (again).

Sorry but I can confirm that there will be no sigificant transfers in Scotland this window.

It's finally happening...I cna exclusively reveal that following high level talks throughout the day the departure of Rafa Benitez will be announced tomorrow. According to my sources, a final payout has been agreed – significantly below the reported £20million, which will suit both parties and allow Rafa to 'resign' and maintain some degree of dignity. An interim replacement has apparently been lined up but my contacts would not reveal this, though I have a sneaking suspicion that it will not be kenny as seems presumed but in fact Stevie Nicol (with Kenny working alongide).

Depending on sale to new investors, it looks likely that Jose Mourinho will indeed be lined up for the summer...

I won't speculate anymore because in truth that's as much as I know so no hyberbole or wild guesses – just a very reliable source and a strong hunch on the rest.

Rafa benitez and steven gerrard had ANOTHER fallout at half time yesterday against reading. christian purslow tryed to intervene but it ended up with gerrard saying he, l never play or train under benitez again. gerrard also set an ultimatum if rafa stays then he wants to leave to either man city or chelsea with bids from them both on the table since before december.
