To whomever wrote this:
'Joe cole will sign for spurs on a free'

No he wont, Just been speaking with him whilst he was celebrating the FA Cup win. A little worse for wear but said he was signing for a team who played in red. I said 'so you staying in London or you joining the devils' he replied 'can't say much until its sorted as a LIVER birdy told me not to'!

Make of that what you will.

Leeds news we won't be signing any players unntill we've got rid first : Robinson free , rui retire or free. Ankegren free. Also I think we should sign billy sharp free, Montgomery free, niel mellor free , alan smith , dougherty free , billy paynter 1.3 million. Also marcus tudgay would be good 1.5 – 3 million. There is also roumers that leon best is signing unlikely though. Outs jermaine beckford everton most likely. Robert snodgrass will not be leaveing to pne or Celtic . He's just been celabrating automatic promotion.

So far spurs have sealed their champions league spot, signed two decent players in arda turan and sandro, they are looking to offload, robbie keane, pav, jenas, bentley and hutton, arguably players that will not be missed and could raise an easy 40 million for further spends, now i have it on good authority that spurs will be making a triple bid for three city players, richards, bellamy and ireland, i do not know their values but the bids will be made! the big spurs signing of the year will be suarez of ajax!

what a great time to be a spurs fan!

Tottenham Hotspur

At the end end of the 2009–10 season Galatasaray accepted a bid of around £8 million from Tottenham Hotspur for Arda (a deal which also sees French international Younes Kaboul head in the opposite direction). It is thought that the transfer will be officially announced in the coming days.

To the guy that said this: 15 May 2010 20:03:30
As has been reported on here very recently Liverpool will be purchased by an owner(s) from the Middle East. The players are aware that a deal is very close but the club is trying to keep it in house until it's offical. Yossi Benayoun has recently said he will leave Liverpool, this is entirely down to his personal religious beliefs and not wishing to be employed my Muslim owners. The new owners have been in talks with the Americans for at least a year, which is why the club terminated it's 20 year sponsorship with Carlsberg. Alcohol is forbidden by Muslims. Everyone thinks SOS Spirit of Shankly are the ones that got the yanks to sell, it's rubbish they having been in negotiations with the future owners for ages. Unfortunately in Liverpool the SOS lads will be considered heroes for 'saving the club'. People are delusional if they think these ruthless Yanks were pressured by a few disgruned Scousers.

REALLY??!! Avram Grant is an Israeli and was hired by the muslim owners of Portsmouth – so you'll have to do better then that!!

Sunderland for next Season

Out:–
McCartney – £2.5
Ferdinand – £4m
O'Donnanvan – 0
Healy – £1m
Murphy £1m
Jones – £10m

Ins
Taiwo – £8m
Bougerra – £5m
Hutton – £5m
Simao – £4m
Fletcher (Burnley) – £5m
Santa Cruz – £8m
Onahua – £5m

Realistically, Sunderland have possibly one of the best set ups in the EPL, great chairman in Quinn, a backer who isn't afraid to dip his hand in Ellis

They could really do something next season

MANCHESTER UNITED VERY CLOSE TO CLOSING £17.5 MILLION DEAL FOR LA LIGA STAR

The chances that Man Utd will sign Valencia's David Silva are increasing by the day with both the Spanish media and the UK bookies convinced that the 24 year old will become Sir Alex Ferguson's big summer signing. Silva has been linked with a move to Old Trafford all season and it now appears that the speculation in this particular case are in fact true.

Silva has been on the wanted list of some of Europe's biggest clubs but they are all on the verge of being disappointed by the news that the Spanish International will be a Man Utd player next season, Silva has become odds on with the bookies to become a Red Devil and it is not often that the bookies get it wrong.

Silva himself has made no secret of his honour at being linked with Fergies outfit saying

"When you hear a club like Manchester United is interested in you it is an honour, "

"I am very aware of the Premier League, and in recent years it has been the stand–out league in the world.

"If it came calling, especially if it was a club like Manchester United, it would be very hard to resist.

"I am happy at Valencia but every player has his price and if they get an offer they think is good business anything is possible."

It now all set up for Fergie who should be able to land Silva for approx £17.5 Million.

Five Spurs players on their way out of White Hart Lane

Every now and then we will create a little list of interest to a particular team, we have done these lists before, as an example five players Wenger needs to offload or five managers to take over from Benitez and today we are giving Harry Redknapp's Tottenham the treatment listing five players that could leave White Hart Lane this summer.

Now this following list is a personal opinion based on rumours and common sense, now Redknapp may not offload all five but we are fairly confident that he will offload at least some of the five listed below.

Robbie Keane

On loan at Celtic and even though Redknapp has already indicated that the Irishman is welcome back at White Hart Lane it is hard seeing it happen, seems he burnt his bridges when he left for Liverpool and has never really found his way back in to the Spurs fans hearts.

David Bentley

Has never set White Hart lane alight, flatters to deceive and just comes across as some flash Harry, no tears will be shed once he is sold.

Jermaine Jenas

Jenas appears surplus to requirements now and the press have been abuzz with rumours linking Jenas with a move away from White Hart lane.

Roman Pavlyuchencko

The Russian has not quite cut it, he gets some good goals but he has failed to convince Redknapp and his days are numbered at Tottenham

Alan Hutton

On loan at Sunderland and a good chance he will never put on another Tottenham shirt, he just looks below the class required at Spurs and it is very difficult to see him remaining a Tottenham player.

That's the list, now if you disagree that's fine, respond in the comments box with your own list if you disagree with the above named players.

MIKE

Celtic Manager Rumours
================
2 rumours going around – Levin & houston to be appointed this week.

However i've also heard that Lennon has been offered the job but the deley in the announcement is because they are still trying to tie up someone more experienced to help him, maybe trappatoni as dermot desmond already pays his wages for the ROI. The guy who told me about lennon has been correct about a few stories from inside Celtic Park

both rumours would seem to be possible.

15 May 2010 21:06:23
!! ARSENAL NEWS – Great News !!

Buffon will sign next week on a 3 year contract for a cut price deal of £8 million plus add ons, Juventus are frustrated with his injuries and also with buffon being vocal to the press about a move away from turin. A few newspapers have also seen his agent meeting with arsenal reps in a posh docklands hotel last week. It is also known that juventus owe arsenal some transfer fee money for the vieira deal and juventus are willing to accept a bid from the gunners. Juventus have also enquired about taken possibly rosicky or eduardo as part of a loan deal.

Buffon will be expected to wear the number 32 shirt. Almunia will stay for atleast 6 months.

Neil Woods will stay on and revert back to youth coaching.

15 May 2010 19:04:48
Owen Coyle will not want his first whole season in charge to be below average as this year's has been. Leed's striker Jermaine Beckford looks set to end his career at Elland Road. Everton lead the chase, along with Wolves, Bolton and Sunderland to sign him. David Marshall of Cardiff City has also impressed Coyle and he is prepared to make a bid if Cardiff fail to qualify for promotion. Ali Al Habsi will be offered on a loan spell as part of the deal. Out of favour Stoke striker Dave Kitson has also been linked along with West Brom's Graham Dorrans. Jack Wilshere and Ivan Klasnic's loan spells will be renewed. Coyle may make a bid for Mokoena, after an impressive perfomance against Chelsea in the FA cup final.
As for sales, Gavin Mccann has not been offered a new contract and is likely to join Leicester. Gary Cahill continues to be linked with Arsenal and Liverpool and could be leaving the Reebok for around £10m. Matt Taylor hasn't had a great season and may be leaving, Newcastle are interested.

15 May 2010 19:14:40
Not a rumour but please post, in reply to the following message – 'My cousin here in Australia has a friend who is the cousin of Yossi Benayouns wife Mirit. I was having a chat to him the other day and he told me that Yossis father recently assaulted his wife, Yossis mother, which has shamed the whole family. Never seen that reported at all so just trying to establish my credibility. He also told me that Yossi will be leaving because of the owner coming to Liverpool. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to ask him any questions as he had to leave, but who could he possibly have been refering to? Coincidently I am a huge Liverpool fan so I am naturally very curious about what this means. Any one have any ideas??

Cheers.'

If Yossi does leave it could be because of Liverpool's prospective new owners, who are Muslim. Yossie is Jewish and an Israeli so he may not be wanted at the club if we come under Muslim ownership. That is only a guess, it could be entirely different reasons. But if it is the case, i don't care how much money these guys want to spend on the club, it would be a complete disgrace if one of OUR players had to leave, simply because of his religion. Liverpool fans should protest if this is indeed the situation.

15 May 2010 19:19:05
To all of you people that are writing on about prestons finacial problems derik shaw will resign and trevor hemmings and a friend who owns enterprise will take over a deepdale and there will be no points deducted and FERGUSON IS NOT GOING TO COVENTRY

15 May 2010 18:39:20
Quite a bit of speculation in Turkey that Arda Turan has signed for Tottenham

15 May 2010 18:42:41
Lots of rumors circulating here in the states over players interested in plying their trade in the MLS. Players being linked are Henry (NY–red bulls–done deal), Raul, and Pires being the most likely. Also whispers of Toni, Mutu and shockingly Totti. Personally I would love to see Mutu as although the boy obviously has his issues, there is no denying his talent. He would instantly be the best striker in the league!

As far as the team I support Liverpool and the transfers I would like to see take place;
Higuain
Kolorav
Turan
Kjaer

team for next year
Reina
Johnson––– Kjaer–––– Agger––––Kolorav
Gerrard––––Masch––––Aqua–––––Turan
–––– –Higuain––––
–––Torres–––

subs; Dida, Gulasci
Carra, Ayala, Wilson, Insua,
Maxi, Shenvly(spelling), Lucas, Spearing,
Ngog, Jovanovic, Pacheco

outs; Babel (swap w/Turan), Skrtel, Degen, Aurelio, Dossena, Plessis, Riera, Benayoun, Babel with a few more fringe players to trim the wage bill.

All of these are very realistic with or without new owners. Hopefully someone with deep pockets and high ambitions saves the club and helps restore it to it's rightful place at the top!

The Qatar Investment Authority held discussions with Martin Broughton during their visit in London regarding the finances of Liverpool. It is believed that the QIA had informed Barclays Capital (QIA are a client of BC) of their interest, and consequently, prepared financial summaries were passed onto them for inspection, before deeper due diligence was carried out.

A bid in the region of £525million will be submitted within the next few weeks. This is a figure that has been deemed satisfactory by RBS, BC, and Gillett & Hicks. It will clear all debt (£480million), and leave the owners with a profit of £20million each. The debt figure is a result of additional debt incurred by the holding companies stemming from Kop Holdings.

It is unclear what the QIA's position on Rafael Benitez is. This will remain between Broughton and the QIA. However, it is understood that since the QIA are in pole position to acquire the club, they have opened talks with Benitez, and a decision on his future will be reached within the next few weeks.

Senior players such as Fernando Torres and Steven Gerrard are unaware of these developments. The QIA would like things to be kept confidential, as do Barclays Capital, RBS, and G&H. Broughton has ensured that non–disclosure agreements have been signed between all major stakeholders but little leaks will emerge as the lawyers draw up the documents required for a takeover.

The QIA have learned through their close connections with Barclays Capital that Mukesh Ambani is an interested party, a serious bidder, and may seek to form an alliance with him in the future, once a full takeover by QIA themselves has succeeded.

Martin Broughton has interviewed prospective buyers with regards to their intentions for the club, their history, and as a result, has minimised a list of 10 investors down to 4 serious bidders, the QIA in pole position, with Mukesh Ambani, Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and one mystery buyer being another The Dubai interest is known to be strong, but the QIA impressed Broughton greatly, with not only their plans for the expansion of their own state, but how investment in world renowned organisations will connect itself to Liverpool.

The Riise thing makes sense when you consider that Roma are interested in Benayoun.
Good way to move him on without moving so much money about (assuming the Israeli international is not required (which would imply that the purchase of the club is more or less done))

Sheffield Wednesday will not go into administration – they could've gone into administration several times in the last few years, but we haven't taken the easy way out and would prefer to keep their dignity and fight their debt over going into administration and being crippled by the deduction.

Alan Irvine will not leave to become Coventry City manager – no promises, just common sense.

Irvine is ready to wield the axe and get rid of Brian Laws' rubbish signings.. With Frankie Simek, Michael Gray, Etienne Esajas, Sean McAllister, Leon Clarke and Francis Jeffers already out, it strongly speculated that Marcus Tudgay and Lee Grant will be following them out. Burnley are after them, and Laws' is ready to pay nearly £3,000,000 for them both.

Irvine won't have that money to spend – he will have to wheel and deal with free transfers and loans – nonetheless, Wednesday are expected to sign..

Eddie Nolan – Preston North End – Free Transfer.
Neil Mellor – Preston North End – Free Transfer.
Darren Carter – Preston North End – Free Transfer.
Jamie Cureton – Norwich City – Free Transfer.
Gary Doherty – Norwich City – Free Transfer.
Joey Gudjonsson – Burnley – Free Transfer.

Chris Sedgwick is in serious talks with Wednesday over a move – I'm not going to claim that I'm his brother or his best friend or his local newsagent, only that with my uncle being Sean McAuley (Wednesday Academy Manager) he secretly told me that Sedgwick was in definite talks with Irvine and it's a pretty–good bet that he'll join.

Care to debate it?
Any other Wednesday rumours?

Man Utd News:

United could make a further 3 signings to go with Smalling and Hernandez who have already signed. One will be youngster Haris Vuckic from Newcastle for around 6M with Welbeck or Diouf going to them on loan for the season. The second will be an attacking midfielder with one of Gourcuff/Modric/Milner/Van Der Vaart/Hamsik/Defour in the frame. Then the last possibe signing will be a striker but only if Berbatov leaves, if he stays then no striker will be bought. The possibles here are Borriello/Fabiano/Vucinic/Huntelaar/Hulk. No Goalkeeper will be signed until at least January but most likely next summer when VDS retires, Ben Amos will be the third choice keeper.

Leaving will be Foster for 5M rising to 8M depending on performances, Carrick for between 8–12M, Berbatov if an offer in excess of 16M comes in for him, Possebon for between 2–3M, Grey and Cathcart for nominal fees.so between 16–32M will be raised from sales.

u sir are nuts.
Sakho plays for PSG, not PSV. furthermore, he would be worth at least 10m, not the paultry 6m ur suggesting. Hazard will not join arsenal this summer, rosicky will not go to spain, he would rather either go back to Czech or finish his career in Germany. and no Ochoa would cost more than 3m, and it won't happen cos arsenal won't sign a keeper, even though we should. the eduardo thing has been doing the rounds, its possible, but i doubt it.
arsenal to sign Yaya, Diakhate and Chamakh.
Gallas, Silvestre, Senderos, Merida and Traore to leave.
Rosicky, Fabregas, Arshavin, Almunia, Fabianski(o dear), Denilson, Sagna, Clichy and Eboue all stay.

To the person that said Jermaine Beckford is signing for Doncaster.

ARE U SERIOUS?!

Why would he leave Leeds to join a smaller club in the same division?

We can offer him better wages with better facilities and the prospect of playing for a Bigger club.

If he's going anywhere its to Everton.

Also, whoever said that McSheffery is going to leeds or preston for 2.5mil, Mcsheffery is out of contract and can leave on a free.

There really is some Bull goin round on this site.

To the numpty who said this:

"SAF cannot wait for the World Cup, he will be watching Luis Fabiano & Karim Benzema in the tournament and will make a bid after the WC for one of them to replace Berbatov who looks like he is heading to AC Milan for £20m."

BENZEMA IS NOT GOING TO THE WORLD CUP, SO HOW CAN FERGI WATCH HIM..

Fergi will however be keeping an eye on:

– SILVA (who he made a 20 mil bid for 2 seasons back, but was rejected)

– MILNER, who has the attributes to meet fergi's needs of a creative goal scoring midfielder, who is also very versatile and can be used as a utility player.

SAF will also try to lure JACK RODWELL as he has the potential to become a next keane type player who we desperately need. However he will only make a bid if chelsea start to show increasing interest as he prefers to sign him next season once his development furthers and he gains more premiership experience.

Finally, another striker will be signed to ease the pressure on rooney. Fergi knows rooney will be lucky to have another great season like he did and cannot carry on relying on berbatov who keeps disappointing. Berba will leave and benzema could be a replacement as his value would have dropped as he will not feature in the World Cup.

TO: The Idiot who thinks Ipswich is going to sell Conor Wickham to Liverpool for a "nominal fee"

FROM: Reality

RE: Your sanity

Hello, this is Reality here. I am worried for your sanity. If you believe that Ipswich is about to sell Conor Wickham, perhaps the current #1 under 18 English player, to ANYONE for a nominal fee, you are quite insane. Current figures bandied about for Wickham are 4 to 5 million, including a year's loan back to Ipswich. And I doubt Ipswich does even that kind of deal. As Wickham signed a two year agreement with Ipswich recently, expect him to play one full year with Ipswich and then to be sold after next season.

Benzema hasn't been picked for the world cup mate so get your facts right before posting! Sunderland are looking at Guy Demel from Hamburg since Tottingham's asking price for Alan Hutton is way too high.

Agreed fab may not be worth more than 40m, but Barca are sure as hell going to have to pay more than that to secure his services. Ronaldo was never worth the £80m Utd got for him, Kaka is not worth £65m but that's what madrid had to pay.
similarly tho Fabregas is not worth the £50–60m people are talking about, barca would have to pay at least £45m for him. this is what the ronaldo transfer has done, hiked prices up to ridiculous levels. Im guessing about £35m + Yaya Toure for Fabregas. spend £20m–ish on Gourcuff and £15 on a top class CB, couple that with arrival of Chamakh and we're in business. lets face it arsene won't sign a new keeper.

Albert Riera, Charles Itandje, Fabio Aurelio & Mikel San Jose will be off loaded for sure this summer. Ryan Babel, Yossi Benayoun, Martin Skrtel & Diego Cavalieri will more or less be guaranteed to leave as well. Danny Wilson (Rangers) should be announced as a red by June 1st.

MESSAGE TO ALL TRUE CELTIC SUPPORTETS

I am contributing to clarify the current position at Celtic Park, due to the amount of inaccurate rumours being submitted.

On Tuesday morning Mr Craig levein and Mr Peter Houston will be appointed as Head and Assistant coach at Celtic Football Club.

Mr Levein will have full say on the playing side of our club, subject to financial restraints.

Agreement has already been reached with Dundee United football club for the transfer of Garry Kenneth and Paul Dixon to ourselves in time for pre season training. As part of this £1.5m deal our own Josh Thomson and Paddy McCourt will be moving to Dundee on a season long loan deal. Mr Levein has already provided me with a further 4 transfer targets for me to progress. He has also identified 7 of our players who have already been made available for transfer. All Championship clubs and certain Premiership managers have been advised of this development. All efforts will be made by our club to retain our rightful position both in Scotland and abroad. Supporters can show their own dedication and commitment to our club through season ticket applications, which are currently being progressed.

PL Celtic Football Club

HOW DO YOU KNOW MATE ??

15 May 2010 16:17:14
Barcelona will try and fail to persuade Cesc to join them this summer. The spanish club will then turn (once again) to Mascherano and (very likely) sign him for between £30–£35 million.
Despite the Cesc situation, Barcelona will then sell Yaya to Arsenal.
Barcelona will annouce the signing of David Villa before the world cup and despite newspaper reports of Ibrahimovic being offered to Chelsea and Man City, he will in fact re–join Juventus four years after he left.
Madrid will offer Liverpool a selection of players together with cash in an attempt to sign Gerrard but the player has decided to stay at Liverpool for his entire career and he (like Torres) will stay.
Chelsea look certain to sign Aguero for £40 million and Milan are preparing for a massive bid for Thiago Silva from the EPL champions.
Tottenham are apparently offering silly money to several big name players around Europe in an attempt to concentrate on the Champions League next season rather than the EPL.
Man City will spend on emerging talents from across Europe rather than already established stars.
Man Utd (as Ferguson said) ae only looking at 1 or maybe 2 players. This is because the manager knows he does not have the financial muscle to buy players that are better than he already has.

15 May 2010 15:30:16
Danny wilson to liverpool 2m
Croation tycoon djako rukic to buy barnsley fc for around 80m
West ham have approached alexandro coatacurta to fill the vacant managers job whule zola will take a rest from management
And finally man citys summer transfer wish list
The three figures list includes all sorts but the confirmed intert in players are
Van det vart
Fernando torres
Sergio aguero
Marko marin

Hearts looking to bring in Craig Bryson Kilmarnock resigned to losing there attacking midfielder.also looking to bring in Stevie Smith of Rangers which would pave the way for Wallace to move on(Celtic very interested).Driver to stay on for the coming season, injury last season limited matches makes his value drop.
Hibs looking at Garry O'Connor who is willing to take a pay cut for fist team football in the spl.Celtic look to sign stokes with burnly looking at Riorden.Yogi a big fan of Scott Arfield with Hearts also interested, with offers from england likely to come looks unlikely the edinburgh clubs will match these.

United going into administration?? that's totally nonsense. Infact, united will announce the signing of giampaulo pazzini from sampdoria in the coming days. Also, negotiations with bari are continuing for leonardo bonucci who is considered the next vidic.
sebastien frey is the next goalie for united.heard me saying the 3 signings united will make? PAZZINI, BONUCCI AND FREY. all from serie A.
Of course there will be some youngsters coming in (matthews from cardiff and feghouli from grenoble).

15 May 2010 14:32:43
Rafa now look to bring John Arne Riise back to Liverpool , there will be no money so Rafa forced to look for cheaper option

he will bid 3m for JAR to cover LB with Insua , Aurelio will leave to Olympiacos in free transfer

15 May 2010 14:33:54
United holding contract talks with Rooney until after the World Cup. Reason being because SAF thinks that if Rooney performs well in the world cup. Madrid/Barcelona will have to up their bid even further if they are to take him from Old Trafford.

Thing is though, Rooney has stated himself that he has no intention of leaving United, SAF also wants to keep him so why would Rooney leave?

It's a different story with Ronaldo because although SAF didn't want to sell him.. Ronaldo actually wanted to leave.

SAF cannot wait for the World Cup, he will be watching Luis Fabiano & Karim Benzema in the tournament and will make a bid after the WC for one of them to replace Berbatov who looks like he is heading to AC Milan for £20m.

out:
Fabregas – £40m + Yaya Toure
Gallas – free
Silvestre – free
Senderos – free
Merida – free
Traore – £3m

Eduardo – £8m

out on loan:

Gourcuff – £20m
Mertesacker – £15m
Chamakh – free
Wellington Silva – january, work permit

loan returns:
E–Thomas, Bartley, Szczesny, Botelho, Lansbury, Watt

a squad good enough to actually challenge for the league, albeit i would have preferred a new keeper too. Mertesacker and Vermaelen would be a class partnership, same full backs, strengthened midfield with Song and Toure, Gourcuff straight swap for Fab, same wingers and Chamakh strengthening the strikeforce.

what do people think?

Joan laporta is back in the running for the barcelona presidency and has already personally held talks with fabregas, villa and juan mata and there clubs and advisors.laporta is favourite to land the role already and with the promise of making fabregas and villa barce players next season he will stroll the election.villa has been a pretty much done deal 4 a good few months now and will 100% sign, most likly to be announced before the wold cup.he is also very likly to be joined by juan mata who pep and johann cruyff have been monitoring personally.villa, having jus missed out on a move last year he was distraught and will get his dream move this summer with ibrahimovic being sur plus to requirements.pep guardiola always favoured villa but powers at the club opted for ibrahimovic, this is why guardiola was reportedly looking at his situation because he wanted the last say on transfers.he has since been promised of that.fabregas is 50/50.arsenal will be holding out 4 around 55 million for there superstar.most recently tho there is talks that 10 million ibrahimovic and yaya toure will be the deal.100% true its no wear near a done deal but is very much on the cards.

bojan, thiago, jefferen and pedro have all signed long time contracts!

We need a keeper and as stubborn as Wenger is he knows it. There have been many numbers floating around here but i expect to see buffon 10–15 mil or frey 8 mil these guys are world class keepers and would be add experience to the squad. One of almunia or fabianski will leave (probably almunia)

Arsene has said he is bringing in defensive signings and with silvestre senderos and gallas all leaving expect 2 new CBs coming in. Hopefully one will be Mertesaker and the other will be a young CB which Arsene can mould into his perfect CB (this will be between Zapata, Richards or Sakho) hopefully Sakho.

Cesc will unfortunatly leave for about 55mil? or 35–45mil plus Yaya Toure or Sergio Busquets, I'd like to see Arsene go for 25mil plus yaya and Ibra as Ibra is wanted out of Barcelona and with David Villa coming in Ibra is too good to be sitting on the bench. But don't worry Arsene will bring in Gourcuff for 25mil (trust me this guy is class) I'd like to see Denilson go aswell because I don't think he is good enough and merida will go aswell

Arshavin is a great player but if he leaves for Barca aswell for about 25mil then Arsene will bring in SWP 5mil, Hazard 15 mil or Silva for 25 mil. Also Rosicky may leave aswell. Then Hazard will defo come in if both players leave and possibly silva.

I'd like to see vela go out on loan and then Arsene selling eduardo but this won't happen. Coming in will defo be Chamakh and maybe Ibra.

And all these rumours about sagna van persie and clichy leaving are all rubbish so you can stop putting them on the outs list.

Arsenal ins:
Buffon or Frey 15 mil or 8 mil
Mertesaker 15 mil
Sakho 5 mil plus traore
Yaya toure p/ex
Gourcuff 25mil
Chamakh free

Maybe's:
Sergio Busquets p/ex
Ibra p/ex
Bojan p/ex
Lacina Traore 5 mil
Richards/Zapata if sakho doesn't join.

Outs:
Almunia
Silvestre
Gallas
Senderos
Traore p/ex
Fabregas 55 mil/45 mil + p/ex/25 mil + p/ex
Vela (loan)

Maybes:
Denilson (hopefully)
Arshavin 25mil
Eduardo 8mil
Rosicky 6 mil

prem champions here we come!

Manchester United have proven they have got money to buy players. They wanted Villa and Silva but might not get them. So topping their list is now 2 goalscoring midfielders(attacking midfielder and winger) and a cheap striker. The list could be (Hamsík/Defour/Silva/Pastore/Sneijder/J.Cole/Di Maria(They made a bid for him on Friday afternoon)/Silva/Krasic(told that they will sell after the WC)/(Believe it or not) Andres Iniesta or Stephan Ireland or Moussa Sissoko. Pienaar and Arteta are outside chances. Strikers will be bought Depending on the midfielders they buy. I don't know if it has been in the media but Arsenal have assembled a £40mil bid for Kjær and Pastore and have first choice on Igor Akinfeev and Mamadou Sakho. Chelsea have put a £62mil bid for Ribéry £50mil bid for Pato loan back, £40mil bid for Agüero, and might put a £35mil bid for Matt Hummels and Neven Subotic, £70mil bid for Dani Alves and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, £35mil bid for Jack Rodwell/Maroaune Fellaini and Steven Pienaar, £50mil bid for Torres, £34mil bid for Di Maria. Apparently a few of these may happen but they can't afford all of them, STUPID STUFF FROM CHELSEA BECAUSE NOW THEY HAVE TO PAY OVER THE ODDS FOR ANY PLAYER THAT THEY ARE GOING TO BUY DURING WORLD CUP YEAR. Liverpool will have to wait a while for the first big time signing. Man City have the same list as Chelsea with added names they are likely to blow your minds. Tottenham to get Dzeko or Huntelaar or Anelka along with a couple more players.
Unknown.

Prestons financial situation far worse than being reported so far, Hemmings is unwilling to bail us out again on this and has told Derek Shaw "Work it out yourself".

Shaw is currently hawking Lonergan, St Ledger and Wallace to the likes of Forest and Burnley and the other big hitters in the Championship in the hope of getting some much needed capital immediately.

Lonergan to Ipswich – £1.7m
St Ledger to Burnley – £2m

We are just trying our hardest to stave off administration, but a 9 point deduction is now expected rather than feared by the Deepdale heirarchy.

I have it in good knowledge that Liverpool will sign Diego Forlan this Summer.

15 May 2010 13:41:48
ARSENAL
The rumours are very amusing. Firstly, Barca appear to be purchasing Fabregas, Torres, etc. In the current financial climate I can only see one mega signing at best. Fabregas will be a problem as he signed a long term contract with Arsenal last season & Wenger will demand a huge transfer fee, in addition Fabregas's wages are reputed to be in excess of £100,000 per week. Wenger stated he will sign 2 or 3 players, which concurs with his transfer record. Assuming Chamakh's signing is confirmed, that leaves 2 signings tops. Which are likely to be a centre half as Gallas is all but gone, a keeper seems extremely likely as Almunia was taken out of the firing line with a mysterious wrist injury. The only additional signing will be if Fabregas goes , a replacement for him will be signed. Forget the nonsense that Arsenal are signing Buffon, Yaya Toure or the like. This is not Wenger's style, he is much more likely to look at up & coming, but established players, who give long term options & are financially more viable, such as Joe Hart & Eden Hazard.

Scottish Footbal Rumours

1) Neil Lennon will not be Celtic's new manager. He has been told this by Lawell and Reid. When the new man is announced he is to take the St Mirren job. Mjallby will not go with him.He will be assisted by John Hartson

2) Craig Levein will be the new Parkhead Supremo. He will be assisted by Peter Houston. This will cause the biggest stink in Scottish Football in years

3) Levein will be given £0.00 to spend . His mandate is to try and sell Mowbray's disasters or make those work that he thinks he can get a tune from. The board have tol him they do not expect to win teh league next year or do anything in Europe . A rebuild plus teh League Cup or Scottish Cup would do fine

4) Walter Smith will leave RFC unless a new owner is announced by June 10th. He will be succeeded by Ally McCoist who has agreed to carry on without contract . He will be required to sell Wilson, Thomson and Fleck . As with Levein he will be given £0.00 to spend

5) John Hughes will be kept on at Hibs and Jeffries at Hearts

ANOTHER FOOLISH GOON FAN, CESC IS WORTH HALF THAT AMOUNT! BARCELONA WILL GO IN WITH A 40M EURO BID NEXT WEEK AND IT IS BEING EXPECTED TO BE ACCEPTED AS CESC WILL TELL ARSENAL HE WANTS TO MOVE ON, BARCA HAVE A KITTY OF 50M EURO'S PUT BACK FOR FABREGAS, SO ARSENAL WILL GET £44M OR CESC WILL STAY!

£70M IS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN, ITS 50M EURO'S OR HE STAYS! PERSONALLY I THINK AN OFFER BETWEEN £40–45M WILL BE ACCEPTED IN AN HEARTBEAT!

To the idiot that posted this, Fabregas IS worth 60–75 million euros due to his age, stature and talent. Even if it is as you say and Fabregas will tell them the club he wants to move on, Wenger would still be able to demand top dollar.Do you think Wenger is stupid?, the man hasn't made profits consistently without realising the true worth of his players. Real Madrid paid 56 million euros for a 27 year old Kaka. Fabregas is 22, captain of Arsenal and already one of the best midfielders in the world, future Balon D'or and FIFA World Player of the Year. You can go figure.

In other Rumours, Arsenal to sign Sakho and Valencia's Carlos Marchena. Sakho is a huge talent and PSG want Traore while Gallas may join them on a free if his wages can be sorted making relations between the 2 clubs good, 8 million+ Traore could be a winner.

Marchena is off contract in July and has attracted interest from Panithinaikos and with Valencia's debt will be forced to sell some players to balance the books. It is believed that a 5 million+ offer would convince them to sell and Wenger is monitoring the situation as a long–time fan of Marchena.

15 May 2010 13:05:19
The suggestion that Man Utd are on the brink of administration is the biggest load of nonsense I have heard in years. Man Utd are part of a group and group debt is much lower. The Glazers put so much debt under the Utd banner because it is the best security that anybody could possibly have, and because, wrongly in my view, the football authorities allow it.

Far from being close to administration United will be big spenders this summer with two big signings and two or three younger players, though the net spend may not be all that high because of players leaving.

Vidic may be allowed to go unless he commits to a new contract which is unlikely, and he may be used to swing a deal for Benzema.

As a Utd fan I don't like the debt any more than anyone else but the Glazers will be around for several years yet. The Utd connection does a great deal for their other businesses and Utd are the best global brand in the world. Don't be too surprised along the line if the Glazers choose to buy back some of the bond issue at advantageous prices.

15 May 2010 13:15:02
There seem to be a lot of rumours made up by people who know very little about football. Fabregas will only leave to Barcelona. Anyone who links him to Italy or Real Madrid or even more laughably Manchester United as I read recently needs to get their head checked.

Fabregas will only leave to Barcelona. Nobody else. That is simple. If he leaves Iniesta will be pushed to the left wing with Cesc partnering Xavi in the centre in the first choice XI.

As for price Arsenal will not accept anything less than £55m, with Wenger valuing Fabregas as a better player than Kaka especially considering Fabregas' age and if Kaka went for approx £65m Wenger will push for a similar fee but knows he may have to settle. Gazidiz coming in has made Arsenal a much stronger proposition in negotiations so the days of Arsenal not getting value for their players is very much over. Yaya Toure is being mooted as being used in a part exchange deal but Wenger has twice turned down the option to sign him so will only take Toure if he can't push through a deal involving Bojan and Sergio Busquets. Ideally Wenger wants £35m + Sergio Busquets + Bojan. In reality though he is willing to accept £40m + either or £45m + Yaya Toure. Fabregas has made a promise to Arsenal and Wenger that even if Arsenal don't sell him this summer he won't take advantage of buying his contract out, a right that he would have next January for £16m. Fabregas is also a very sensible man and realises he has a long career ahead and there is no need to rush into a move. So all round Arsenal have a very strong negotiation position.

Fabregas leaving is considered to be a 50–50 chance this summer. Gourcuff is the number one target to replace him. Gourcuff was on the verge of joining Arsenal from Rennes before Milan snapped him up and he is now interested in the possibility of renewing his partnership and friendship with Chamakh.

Arsenal In:
Hart – 8m
Zapata –8m
Mertesacker – 14m
Gourcuff – 19m (if Cesc goes)
Chamakh – Free
Yaya/Busquets/Bojan – potential swaps
Senna – 2m if no Busquets or Yaya swap

Out –
Fabregas – (£50m+ 50/50 chance)
Eduardo – 8m
Vela – loan
Gallas/Senderos/Silvestre – Free
Rosicky – 8m

Torres and Gerrard WILL be leaving the Reds this summer – The decision to sell has been made by Rafa himself, despite the fact that new investment is in place already which means he does not have too – Offers will be accepted for both from any oversea's club (why strenghten the imiediate rivals) –– Why –– The recent statement made by Torres concering the physical pressures of the Premiership is only the tip of the iceberg and he has told Rafa he is only looking to play another 2 or 3 seasons in England – Rafa is already concerned with the lack of games Torres has managed since his arrival and another bad season will mean his value dropping significantly – The deal will be £50m to Barca, but will include first refusal on a number of the Barca players.

Gerrard – Lack of form for the past 18 months – Not getting any younger – Will receive c£25m from either Real or Inter (dependant on where the chosen one ends up)

JUST TO PUT YOU STRAIGHT,

joe cole will be signing for tottenham hotspur just prior to the england squad flying off to the world cup.

roman pavlyuchenko wil be going if he leaves to spartak moscow as told on national radio (not talk sport) by a russian football agent & there will be no swap with a player from liverpool

luka modric will not be going to manchester united.

we work closely with clubs from london and our department deals with tottenham hotspur football club, we have at times been privi to other clubs information, and we posted here about 3 months ago regarding foster from manchester united to birmingham (i do believe this site has a history page to look back on old rumours? – feel free to look) we also posted who at the time mr redknapp was looking at! that was before qualifying for the champions league! some of his desired targets has now changed but the likes of micah richards and joe cole have remained.

A sad day for English football –
News will break over the next few weeks that Manchester United are on the brink of administration – Remember – You heard it hear first !

The reported debt of £700m is a conservative estimate, and it will be reported that to put the club back on a level footing, someone will need to step forward with an offer of £1bn – and there are not too many individuals or companies with that sort of money.

At present, the yanks are just about covering the loan costs but this cannot go on for long and the only answers are 1) long term – a sale of the club (which is hugely unlikely due to the price) 2) Sale of players – Ronaldo's fee was used (75%) to reduce the debt a little, and this will be the same moving forward (altho, more like 95% of transfer funds will be used to reduce debt) So, who will go – Rooney is the prime suspect, but he would only go if he is 'pushed' which may happen – Fee c£70m – Thereafter, if you look at the squad, no–one else would command big bucks – So bad times ahead – Just pray (and Im a Liverpool fan) that they sort it out – We all need a Man Utd to hate !

15 May 2010 12:38:55
Joe Cole to Liverpool – This will be announced next Thursday, along with the signings of Van Der Vart (£7.5m) Wilson (£1.3m plus add ons) and confirmation of a 12 month loan agreement for Benzema.

Good days ahead !

I was having a pint at The Arkles near Anfield. The buzz among knowing sport fans is that Liverpool are lining up a bid for deluxe defender Roger Johnson of Birmingham to made this week for 5.5 million pounds.

^^^ Almost spot on mate, but you have the wrong man, It's Scott Dann, and the fee will be more in the region of £7 million, The deal will be funded with skrtel's sale to italy.

The other piece of big news, just whispers so far, Gerrard looks set for madrid (no bad feelings stevie) with benzema either coming in a swap or on loan, more likely on loan, either way his name is flying about.

Fabregas is likely to be sold to real madrid for the sum of around 70mil. as much as i hate to say this as a gooner fan it is true since wenger would have stripped him of his captaincy anyway since he said he would like to join barcelona, and as we all know a player who doesn't want to be at his club does not make a good captain.
with that money wenger will buy gourcuff and arteta. diaby the flop will move to the bench and compete with song for dcm and we will still have some money remaining !

Don't listen to Cardiff or Preston rumours – George Osborne has told HM Customs / Revenue that they should take no prisoners and collect outstanding taxes at the double – so expect winding up and liquidation rather than acquisitions – is it just me who thinks that Cardiff should be relegated not promoted for not paying their taxes whilst maintaining a false position in the league by paying for loan players such as Etuhu – if you can afford loans you can afford to pay up the deductions you took from players salaries or don't those rules apply to Mr deluded Risdale – looks like they will get their come uppance!

Following on from the winding up order from the Taxman, Preston will have to sell at least 7 of there first team squad to pay there tax bill, this will be followed by administration and a 9 point deduction for next season, looks like we 'could' be playing Morecambe (if they are promoted) the following season for our local derby game if we are relegated next season. All those missed oppurtunities in the playoffs over the last ten years! Dark days are upon us :(((((

Gold and Sullivan will look to make a profit dealing in the window this summer, the wage bill will be reduced. But that does not mean that they will not splash a little cash on a couple of players, Dorrens (7 million)at WBA and Whittingham (3 million)at Cardiff are heavily tipped to join.
Several free transfers will arrive, sadly not Joe Cole. Expect Joe Ledley, Tal Ben Haim, Kasper Schmeichal, Seb Larsson and Liam Ridgewell.
Chu Chu Benitez will arrive on loan in a similar deal to what they brought him to Birmingham on.
Out will be Ilan, Gabbidon, Spector, Franco end of contracts.
Rob Green will leave to join Arsenal, a fee of around 6 million and West Ham will home to get a season long loan for Vela or Mediera.
Cole will join Birmingham for around 9 million, Behrami will go to Serie A for 8 million, West Ham want Upson to stay, but unless he agrees to extend his contract before the world cup, he will be sold, most likely to liverpool for around 4 million.

To: –JAMES007–, is this imminent or is there due diligence to be carried out? Might tie in with something.

Barclays Capital (BarCap) started due diligence (which can take between 1–3 months) just before Broughton was appointed. The problem the yanks were having was due diligence being carried out by each prospective buyer which was very time consuming. No repeated due diligence to be carried out for any of BarCap's clients. The club will be sold to one of BarCap's clients. I have been told that Qatar Investment Authority is a BarCap client (worth around $65 billion). Looks very promising. –JAMES 007–

Cheers for that. It's all in the timing then this summer. There are more interested than some think and you're right about confidentiality, bits will always leak out. Happy Days.probably!

Just heard there will be NO take over at ibrox, SDM has tried but the standard of the buyer is very poor to say the least (a guy who couldn't do it at northampton, and a guy with over 300 tax charges against him ).SDM will now milk any profit we make to try to keep MIH afloat.

@El mundo, its Stephen Dobbie, get your facts right before posting utter drivel, sounds a bloody good rumour if true though, you rekon ollie could try and sign some dutch stars with the promise of playing in their national colours, same with some ivory coast lads too.

Speaking with a number of people who 'know' Steven Gerrard the consensus seems to be that he needs to get away from the UK and have a fresh start. Frustration with owners, loss of faith in Benitez plus continued press specuation about personal affairs are the main issues. My bet is that he will go to RM, either way we will get a large transfer or a decent player plus cash in exchange. He's been a great servant to the club and I wouldn't blame him. He is still relatively young and could put a few good seasons in at the Bernabeu maybe even return to Anfield for a swansong. Personally hope Reina gets armband with Torres as vice captain (provided he stays).

Sunderland have shown interest in thierry henry and anelka and they have also shown some serious interest in titus bramble, kieran richardson could be on his way to fulham and kenwyne jones could be on his way to tottenham if only they could get 1 of keane or pavlyuchenko in return.

Manchester united news :

We won't be spending unless we sell. truth

Foster(8m) , Berba(18m) & tosic(10m) are leaving for a total of 36m

and we only remember buy a new keeper De Gea or lloris aroung 12–16m and a striker for 20–25m don't know who is it. If there are any transfer funds available we buy a CAM for another 20–25m may be Milner or Modric.

i guess LLoris and Benzema will come

15 May 2010 06:45:51
Here's the truth:
Liverpool have no money to spend on big signings so the goal for the summer is to hold on to key players.
The only signings would be Aleksander Kolarov for around £14 million and Milan Jovanevic for free.

I cannot mention the source but I am certain that it is trustworthy.

Squad XI: Reina, Johnson, Carra, Agger, Kolarov, Rodriguez, Masch, Gerrard, Benayoun, Aqua, Torres.

Real Madrid have today been discussing the terms of the Rafael Van der Vaart tranfer , the player is keen on setting up camp at Anfield next season and the fee that was mentioned was £10million, this fee had already been verbally agreed between the clubs last summer, apparently Rafael Van der Vaart was meant to come to Anfield last year but his wife was very sick and he did not want to move at the time, but she is thankfully all better now and the player wants to move to Anfield to relaunch his career despite the lack of Champions League football, nothing is rubber stamped or signed yet but they must be close if they are meeting, no other players were discussed at this meeting not Raul, Guti, Higuain, Benzema, Drenthe or Diarra who have all been linked with Liverpool in recent months, no Gerrard talk either I have heard if Mourinho does take the Real Madrid job his number 1 target will be Frank Lampard, whether or not he will leave Chelsea is another story.

I am a car insurance salesman and spoke to some interesting people over the phone, i have heard that fleck and also wilson will sign a deal worth 3.8 combined to liverpool. rafa wanted to send phillip degen the other way but degen refused to go to rangers.
he also stated that interestingly enough manchester united are close to signing Neymar for what is thaught to be 21 million.sir alex ferguson is interested in young talent at the minute and believes neymar is the closest thing he's seen to perfection in quite some time

15 May 2010 00:12:01
I hope this gets posted as there are far too many Liverpool and Man u comments.

I was in Belfast last night and bumped into none other than Aiden McGeady, Marc Crosas, jos hooiveld, paddy mccourt, darren o'dea and niall mcginn. They were there for the opening of a Failté restaurant on falls road, west belfast.

Clearly a few had had a few beers and there were some loose tongues. Not saying any of this is gospel but worth passing on to any celtic fans there. Apparently Neil Lennon is convinced he will NOT be given the Celtic job and apparently there has been a behind the scenes deal made with Craig Levein with him taking over early next week.

Also, it looks like Aiden Mcgeady is off this summer. There has been contact from Birmingham, Everton and Aston Villa but a fee is still to be agreed.

Anyway, just thought i would pass that on.

cheers, TI

LFC Latest

Rafa will be going for around 5–6 free transfers this summer. Players rumoured to be on the list are:

Christoph Metzelder (Real Madrid)
Juliano Belletti (Chelsea)
Martin Petrov (Manchester City)
Joe Cole (Chelsea)
Ruud van Nistelrooy (Real Madrid)
Joe Ledley (Cardiff)
Morten Gamst Pedersen (Blackburn)
Adriano (Flamengo)

Some, but not all of the above will be negotiated with.

We don't have much money, so rafa will try for these 'special deals'. God help us!

Pompey's potential buyer will only complete purchase providing Storrie quits.

The club have to pay £1.5m a year to clear the debt and will not receive any parachute money.

Look for cheap buys and players from the lower SPL clubs moving to Fratton Park.

To the person who said..
14 May 2010 17:11:54
I'd like to remind the Doncaster fan that said they are signing Wes and Leon Best of something. You are a small team, VERY SMALL, can't even get double figures in your "amazing new stadium". You are a nothing club. You won't sign anyone of high calibre.

I bet Doncaster Rovers have a very good season next season, There football is very good and entertaining to watch.I wouldn't be surprised if they were pushing for play–offs spot next season. They are the 'Arsenal of the Championship' as quoted by many.

Onto rumours..
Liverpool to keep hold of Torres/Gerrard/Mascherano
I don't believe they'll need to sell as the chairman says. I don't believe any of them want to leave the club either.
Liverpool will probably sign Turan, as he is a Liverpool fan and Rafa is a big fan of Turan.

Departing

Foster, Kusycheck, Brown, O'shea, Park, Tosic, Carrick, Berbatov, Owen (approx 30mill)

Incoming

De Gea (6mill plus Kusycheck for potential WC keeper)
Cahill (8 mil plus Brown & O'shea for Vidics strength and Ferdinands pace)
Milner (18mil + add ons, provides energy, flair and versatility)
Rodwell (15mil + Park for potential WC midfielder, defender)
De Maria (16mil + add ons, left footed winger with WC potential)
Benzema (one season loan with option of 25 mill purchase, pace, power and point to prove)

minus incomings net spend of 35 mill well within season budget and excluding Benzema wage demands all reasonable

greater balance to team and increased variety on bench is fergies target along with reduction in squad age

THIS IS THE MOST STUPID POST I HAVE EVER READ IN MY LIFE, KUSZCZAK, O'SHEA, PARK, BROWN, BERBATOV, CARRICK AND OWEN ARE GOING NOWHERE, THE ONLY PEOPLE WHO WILL LEAVE AND YOU CAN GUARANTEE THIS, IT IS FOSTER, TOSIC, GRAY, POSSEBON AND CATHCART!

THESE WILL BE BID FOR, DE GEA AND MILNER OR MODRIC.

FELLA UNITED HAVE NO NEED TO CUT THE SQUAD, WHEN FOSTER LEAVES TOMORROW UNITED WILL HAVE 23 PLAYERS OVER 21 THAT NEED TO BE REGISTERED AND 7 NOT NEEDING TO BE REGISTERED FOR EXAMPLE FABIO, RAFAEL, MACHEDA, SMALLING, CLEVERLY, C EVANS, AMOS!

AS THERE IS JUST 23 PLAYERS LEFT IN THE SQUAD UNITED DO NOT NEED TO LET ANY PLAYERS LEAVE BUT HAVE TWO SPACES FOR TWO NEW FACES!
