Portsmouth want bristol city manager gary johnson!!
I don't really have a problem with the Sky Sports presenters. Well, not all that much, even though they should, by all rights, be standing in the front windows of Debenhams with price tags on their clothes. No, I actually feel sorry for them. They have to sit there and just say the same stuff for hours on end, possibly yakking to no–one in particular (they'll probably be a 30–second alternative before it's time for 'Diagnosis Murder'). They should actually, in my opinion, be allowed to speak their minds a bit.
"Sir Alex Ferguson thinks that Christiano Ronaldo will become an Old Trafford legend in five years time. .yeah, like THAT'S news. It's an exclusive that's just come in. Someone thinks someone else's really great. Hooray. Make the tea. ."

But then, when you see the lazy, fat–arsed ex–players who Jeff Stelling has to control on Saturday's Razor Blade Flogging Footie Afternoon, you'd favour a neutral, Stepford Wife approach to punditry. But, I tell a lie. I actually like Charlie Nicholas's dry approach where he seems to favour good football over bias for other teams, and even Phil 'Concorde' Thompson seems to have sympathy for those outfits who get their arses thumped by the bigger teams. But I can't abide Paul Merson. He comes on like that smarmy old slug who you wish wasn't invited to the party, and he shares a trait with Matthew Le Tissier by sneering at those clubs who aren't one of the Big Four and treating it as a jokey, blokey laugh whenever they get demolished by Man Utd, et al. They convey all the joy of dog excrement hardening. They have the charm of escaped convicts.

But they're beacons of integrity next to Setanta and their figurehead of futility, Steve MacManamanamanam, as they present (ironically, considering their non–league emphasis) their Premiership coverage which sides with the big clubs from the off, with Macmanaman in one instance 'hoping' that Man Utd win the game at half–time in one particular Old Trafford encounter which was then 0–0. Impartiality guaranteed from Setanta. Not. So I'm glad Sky got the major share of telly rights from them, the weasels.

And, er. .
Jose Mourinho will make a sensational return to chelsea at the end of the season. He said that he would love the chance to work at chelsea again as he says he still loves the club. Also there is a strong possibility that mark hughes is sacked by manchester city and is replaced by LUIZ FELIPE SCOLARI!! the manchester city owners will look to get scolari as he has a strong relationship with players like kaka and he may be brought in to lure players like kaka to eastlands.
Look, slag me off, call me a liar, feel free. Couldnt care less. I have only ever had one real rumour told to my face and it was a few years ago . I got told Mo' was leaving LFC. Shortly after i was told the story broke in the press of Owen leaving. The same person (who actually, honestly really does. . have inside info) told me LFC already have a massive transfer in place for the summer and its one of two either David Villa or (shock, horror– bring on the insults from the mancs :)) Carlos Tevez. This is an honest post and not designed to wind anyone up. Take it or leave it lads.
"To the guy who said he must've imagined all the tv money! i hope you realise football was better, fairer, and more genuine before TV MONEY kicked in. if a team got relegated all they worried about was getting back into the division, now its thank god for the parachute payment, and oh christ we need to free all the 5million signings we made in the jan window to try and stay in the league, football was better before it became reliant on money, anyone who thinks different is obviously delluded and seriously derranged" – I just wanted to say I totally agree with you and it's about time someone stated this truth loud and clear.
  Top 4 Stuff.

Man Utd. Furguson to leave in 2 years minimum due to the fact he wants to take over liverpool in title wins and is hell bent on doing so. Dont expect much from Utd in transfers except the battle for Tevez. He feels let down by the lack of movement Utd have made on this deal and its allowed Madrid to make a few moves and its petty much 50–50 where he goes, expect City to be sniffing around this one, as per usual.

Arsenal: This is a tricky one as it looks unlikely that they will be playing champs league next season unless they win it, so, if they do finish 4th or above expect some young players and one of Moutinho or M. diarra of Madrid, but if they dont, expect a few 'loyal' players to start lookin at other clubs who are in the Champs league, Fabregas, Adebayor, Toure and Sagna may look to other countries in search of the top level i.e Barca, Milan, Lyon, and, of course, Madrid will all keep an eye out.

Chelsea: Mourinho will 100% not be chelsea's manager come the summer. Come on ppl, don't be so deluded, sacked after one bad spell after 2 titles, an FA cup and two Champs league Semis and league cups, he aint interested and Hiddink is only there as a sort of favour to Roman, not permanent, my money's on Mancini gettin the job or outside chance of Zola but unlikely. Mancini will bring Quesmaera in permanently with Deco, Drogba, Ivanovic and Ballack all headin 4 the Continent.

Liverpool: Expect Benitez to make small changes again, Only one of Aguero, Joaquin, Simao or Barry will sign due to cash restriants, maybe 2 if bentitez can find homes for degan, voronin, Babel, Dossena, lucas and Cavelieri.

Peace out – BigSmoke
FC Barcelona: There is a strong chance that both Samuel Eto'o and Thierry Henry could leave the Camp Nou in the summer. If Eto'o doesn't agree to a new deal he will be off for a new challenge. Man City are looking at the possibility of trying to bring Henry back to the Premier League, but Barcelona could try to offer him in a deal for Lyon's Karim Benzema, although the Benzema prefers Real Madrid. They will pursue a bid for David Villa no matter what happens.

Real Madrid: Real's business all depends on whether Juande Ramos is manager next season, Florentino Perez though doesn't want Cristiano Ronaldo at the club as he feels he may be a negative influence in the squad. Real though will try and sign Karim Benzema or David Villa to replace Javier Saviola and possibly Ruud van Nistelrooy. They are also eyeing up a move again for Antonio Valencia and Douglas Costa.

Other La Liga Rumours: Almeria's Alvaro Negredo could be playing in the Premier League next season with Fulham and Blackburn both interested in the striker. Rumours are true that Sergio Aguero was unsettled at Atletico when Javier Aguirre was in charge, but now he's gone and Atletico are back to winning ways and Aguero is scoring again, so I think he will stay until beyond next season atleast before maybe heading to Italy or even the Premier League. Valencia could eye up a move for Man City left back Javier Garrido in the summer.

Peter jackson to sign new contarct at Lincoln
This post is contrary to media reports regarding the future of Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina. I am a British journalist situated in Spain at the moment and have good contacts with jounalists from sport newspapers AS and Marca. The word is that the Reina family are experiencing family problems and they would like Jose Reina to move back to Spain, hence the speculation that he will move to Atletico Madrid, as Madrid is his family home. Pepe doesn't want to move, but may feel that it will be best for his whole family. Im not saying that he will leave, he loves Liverpool but every decent person would put their family first.
Rafa may look at a cash plus Reina offer now for Sergio Kun Aguero but again, this is only a possiblility at the moment.
Rafa has started to look at potential replacements just incase, but he will not move for any unless Reina does move on. The keepers on his radar at the moment are;

Igor Akinfeev – CSKA Moskow
Marco Amelia – Palermo
Joe Hart – Man City
Manuel Neuer – Schalke
Rene Adler – Bayer Levekusen

Joe Hart wants to leave City for first team football. Michael Rensing is currently the German Number 1 goalkeeper so both Adler and Neuer want to join a bigger league, England or Spain to better themselves and stake a claim for the German team. Marco Amelia has been linked with Liverpool in the past and continues to, and Akinfeev is a highly rated young keeper. At the moment,Rafa has decided he wants either Hart or Neuer. Watch this space.
  Manchester Untied news

The main reason why Jose has been at Manchester Utd games in the past few weeks is not to scout utd before the inter game but to discuss the managers job.

Sir Alex will take up a role in the boardroom. Jose wants his no.2 from either steve clarke, phill brown or brendan rogers but utd want to install Carlos quirez as a no.2/technical director to oversea transfers and scouting.

the structure at the club will remain the same. with priority to youth development with only exceptional players being bought.

Jose is not intrested in tevez and is happy for him to leave. He will take over at the end of next season (09/10).

The players he wants to buy or be bought in are
Benzema or ibrahimavic
peter cech
essien
and maicon from inter

Jose believes that drogba, terry, lampard, carvliho etc have became worse players without his guidence.

he will join at the same time Van der sar,g neville, giggs and scholes will retire.

the deal for him to come in is about 60% done. with utd willing to give him a 2 year roling contract over 10 years.
  LFC NEWS

For transfers in the summer don't expect to many arrivals! There will be only 3 major signings. .

This will be:

Kun Aguero 25mil
Glen Johnson 10mil
Jesus Navas 15mil

These are REAL possibilitys as for 1 kun aguero could have been with us 2 seasons ago which he had already agreed personal terms with the club. But due 2 the clown himself rick parry refused to fund rafa's plan. Now the board have seen the mistake they made with the keane, Aguero is now a REAL possiblity! Contact has been made and athletico have agreed a fee which may include alonso. Other than the fee and personal terms there is no more further talks til the end of the season!

Glen johnson will also wait til the end of the season to decide his future. But contact has been made and with his buy out clause at 10mil this is also a REAl possiblity.

Jesus Navas is a target of rafa an enqueir was made in the summer but seville and navas both were willing to give it another season, declined the offer but with a 1st option for rafa and liverpool. This will most likly happen with navas knowing playing for liverpool will give him a chance to excel as a player and with a defo CL spot it may be enough to sway him to anifield.

As a final word as a liverpool fan i think rafa should be given 100% of transfer controll. As rick parry really messed up with the signing of keane!! Tom hicks has stated he wanted rick parry out the club and with the keane saga im totally behind hicks. GET RICK PARRY OUT THE CLUB!!!!!!
Steve coppell has been offered a 7 figure deal to take over at wolves whether or not wolves and/or reading get promoted. Hence his stalling on a new deal at the madjeski.

McCarthy's time seems limited as fans, board–members and now the players seem divided on mccarthy, thus a failed bid for coppell will leave the way for owner steve morgan to recruit either martinez from swansea, johnson from bristol.c. or even the return of dave jones from cardiff.
West Ham have signed the 19 year old Icelandic midfielder Aron Gunnarsson from Coventry for 3 million pounds. Gunnarsson has impressed this season since Coventry signed him in the summer from AZ Alkmaar. Gianluca Nani has been watching his progress since December. This will not be made official until the end of the season.
