Former Bournemouth goalkeeper Benjamin Buchel is to join league one side Walsall on trial, in the view of impressing enough to earn a contract at the saddlers

Buchel joined the cherries last summer but never played a first team game

They've just signed a 16 year old called Jordan Holmes I watched him play and he is decent but it would be a shame for Buchel to go saw him in Development games and honestly thought he was better than Jalal

Since when was he a former Bournemouth player!! I'm sure he's still on our books and Eddie rates him highly

Good keeper, just needs experience now.

Benji has been injured, and he was out on loan. He is still with us so `Former` is not what he is.

Buchel is still a Bournemouth player. He was never released and his contract never ended, although he is injured at the minute

Yeah maybe on loan he is a international who is rated highly and on a min contract at the cherries

Does anyone know if josh wakefield and josh carmichael have been released.

Watched Jordan holmes play in friendly game at hurn bridge and for his age looks to be a great signing

Wakefeild yes Carmichael no

Notts county will hear back from charlton winger Danny green on Tuesday about a possible 3 year deal.

This would be interesting. Green is currently on holiday in NYC

Green still has a year left on his contract why would he concider a move unless the wages were better. would cost too much for notts county?.

16 Jun 2013 22:16:22
Notts county to sign jean yves mvoto from Oldham on a free.

This would be a great signing, I personally really rate M'voto. Can't see it happening though, he's a championship level centre half in my opinion

Good l wish him all the best he switches off far to often league two defender in my opinion one of the reasons were in a relegation fight!

Great in the air but hopeless on the ground and gives penalties away too easily.

His agent wants him in the Championship and he's in charge not Mvoto typical player can;t make decisions on their own.

He's leaving Oldham anyway so you can have him but he does make mistakes, can think of loads over last season. Likes to be sent off as well. lol

Big, strong, slow, cumbersome, lacks concentration and dangerously one footed against quick forwards. Big earner and not championship std.

Good player. Not great but good. Wouldn't like to lose him to another League 1 club, but I don't think he'd get regular first team football in the Championship either

Has adam Chicksen sighed for notts county yet

Sure if he left it would be for much more money and a step up, don't see county offering either to be honest

16 Jun 2013 22:15:25
Notts county to announce the signings off Adam chicksen and dany and guessan on Tuesday.

Its wednesday and no announcement

16 Jun 2013 21:59:43
Heard from a goos source that both Ryan Dickson and Kevin Davies are joining City on tour of Ireland. Also mentioned that Andy Gray was speaking with Mansfield with City paying a percentage of his wages.

Krstavinic to join sheff we'd in next 48hrs, tv

It is confirmed in sheffield star be is just waiting for work

16 Jun 2013 21:39:58
Bournemouth will sign Myles Anderson from Exeter city. Eddie Howe thinks that he is one for the future and expects big things from him.

Addison's wages are miles out of Exeter's reach. also, the player wouldn't be happy dropping to league 2 when he thinks he should be in the Championship, when in reality he is awful

'Sigh' Was hoping it would say 'Selling Miles Addison' :L

I think miles addison is slow bit he needs the chance to impress in his natural position of defence midfield enforcer

Read the post. myles anderson from exeter is who afcb are interested in, nothing to do with miles addison

Big bad Addison will be epic in defensive midfield role hooooofffffff

They aren't talking about MILES ADDISON they are taking about signing MYLES ANDERSON from Exeter

Read the post properly lads!

We have lol who cares about this made up stuff big bad Addison topic is better entertainment

Miles addison looks set to be loaned to bournemouth rugby club on a six month loan deal

Big bad wolf the big bad wolf

16 Jun 2013 21:33:57
Burton Albion boss Gary Rowett has held talks with Barnet forward Ricky Holmes, however the Brewers face competition from an unnamed League One club for his signature.

Holmes is joining Pompey, he's already said he wants to join us

You can have him, scored one screamer but was muscled out of most matches.

Other 2 teams interested are Leyton Orient and Portsmouth. Unfortunately, they both seem better options than us for a player from down south (burton fan).

Burton have not signed anyone. Maghoma has gone, free agent, looks like Zola too and Paterson hasn't yet signed back on. Reportedly deal for Alex Mcdonald and Dominic Knowles awaiting paperwork and that's it. Lots of rumours but no other transfer action to talk about! That leaves us we a squad of about 12 players, 2 of which are not good enough for league 2.

Club is Making a big announcement at 6 in the morning {Ed003's Note - Best be up bright and early then.}

16 Jun 2013 21:32:53
midfielder aaron davies looks set for a switch to league 2 side southend utd the former yeovil and forest man will be phil browns first summer signing.

He is still under contract at Exeter

Good signing for Southend he was a top player when he was a Yeovil

16 Jun 2013 21:24:42
Walsall are not signing cameron belford as they couldn't agree the length of the contract.

More like they watched a few of his horror shows on dvd whilst playing for Bury fc.

16 Jun 2013 21:22:34
Northampton town close to signing Moses ashikodi to end their search for a goal scorer.

How will this end our search for a goalscorer. The lad has played for more clubs than goals he has scored

16 Jun 2013 21:17:20
notts county have identified the man they want to replace alan judge and its dean furman the out of contract oldham player was set to sign for doncaster however they are not interested anymore as they have bigger targets

We are still wanting furman and he is better than county!

Furman jumps ship when his team are in trouble, he thinks he is such a good player and he actually isn;t. Funny if Donny don;t want him.

If he plays in league one next season wait for his reception at BP after jumping ship and wanting away in a relegation battle. he even got a winners medal for playing less than 10 games at Donny, shows what player is he and certainly not a fighte

Not been our player for months actually.

Can't say I'm surprised he doesn't spilt defences with passes, can not hold the midfield and most passes consist of the ball being played out to the wings or back to defence. Calls him self a captain but he is never accountable for his mistakes and jumps ship at the sight of a relegation battle

Furman will sign for Donny and he is a good player that's why Oldham fans on here are so bitter. Time to move on people it doesn't say much for you current players if you do more talking about one who has left!

I don't think he is, actually. Oldham fan.

Bitter + obsessed = Oldham fans
Furman left for a better opportunity get over it
Why would anyone stay in a relegation battle when they could move to a club who could win the league. Career minded decision end of!

Im an Oldham fan and I think a few of us are being a little bitter. But I second the fact he left his team mates when they needed him. He could have just left at the end of his contract and us Oldham fans probably wouldn't have begrudged him, but the fact he went off on loan to a team that was already in with a promotion shout when his team mates needed their captain in the midst of a relagation battled, he chickened out and showed his true colours

If you worked for a company that was struggling and had an uncertain future and was offered a chance to earn a role in a company doing better with a chance of going onto better things would you take it?

I rest my case!

He's not in a job, seems silly To me. We don't want him anyway, like a crab sideways and backwards. KTF

I'm an OAFC fan getting bored and embarrassed at the repetitive Furman-baiting. If you didn't rate him, why so bothered he's left? I actually thought he was good, but get over it.

Furman was a good player for Oldham so stop slating him. Yes he left at the wrong time but he will go on to play at a higher level than us

You thought he was good? Look at the stats/performance/results when he left.
I don't blame him for going to a bigger club. but I do blame him for showing an absolute lack of will to fight for his starting XI spot or in the relegation battle. Especially as he was Captain!
If he was a sailor, he'd be the first one in the lifeboat!

Lol don't make me laugh bitter oldham fans? why are we bitter? Until donny took him off our hands we were heading for relegation as soon as he left the team started doing well? why? because of the rotten apple in the middle if the pitch that doesn't know why it's there! I can still remember the crap back pass to our keeper for the centre of the pitch that ended up at the Walsall strikers feet worse pass I have seen in my life. We are all bang on about it because the player is deluded if he thinks he is Championship level!

And that's why your bitter. I'm sure you didn't have the same feeling about a year ago, from what I saw of him at rovers, he was far from a rotten apple. he put in some quality performances, maybe he just needed to get away from the sinking ship that was Oldham athletic, maybe he just fit better in our team, I don't know, but I think he can certainly perform in the championship

And to be honest, DF isn't the first to jump ship into a promotion race, and out of a relegation scrap. quite a lot of players do it. billy sharp did it last season, leaving rovers for Southampton, did we moan, winge and slate him? no, because he was too good for us, just like DF is for Oldham. he's better than bottom half league 1

16 Jun 2013 21:20:36
West brom plotting loan moves for Demba Ba and Victor Moses.
Franco Di Santo on a permanent deal and Nathaniel Chaloba on loan.

You can only loan one player from a club so would be unable to loan Moses ba and chabolah all from Chelsea

16 Jun 2013 23:12:48
Unlikely. ba, Moses and chalobah all play for Chelsea and you can't have 3 players from the same club on loan

Rubbish! You can't take 2 players on loan from the same PL club.

Well they won't all be successful, not going to get 3 players on loan from Chelsea. let's just hope we get either BA or Moses

Ba would be a terrific signing

Adam Johnson is also on the radar.

17 Jun 2013 15:19:33
Ba is going to west ham no doubt

16 Jun 2013 21:06:02
Wigan are set to announce the signing of Dean Whitehead who is a free agent after his release from Stoke, also promising youngster Roman Golobart has rejected a new contract and will sign for German side FC Koln.

Whithead is a solid player who will always give it 100%. Not sure if he fits into the Wigan ethos though.

Shane cansdell sheriff is set to return to shrewsbury on a one year deal after a frustrating season at PNE - deal to be confirmed in the next week - also leon Clarke wants out at coventry with gillingham and shrewsbury keen on him

16 Jun 2013 21:16:55
this won't happen as simon Grayson as stated he as a clean slate

Would be very interested in Leon Clarke pace and strength and can score goals

Clarkey has had more clubs than Jack Nicklaus.

He also scored more goals that the entire Shrewsbury forwards did last season and more than the entire Preston forwards did last season.

Clarke may go to shrews if marvin morgan leaves however he is in the best form he has ever been in so why leave now?

Morgan has left at the start of may and clarke would be a asset to shrewsbury - coventry are going to sell him regardless of the troubles they are in or not

16 Jun 2013 20:08:11
west brom apparently looking at mame biram diouf, out of contract in the summer so he would be on a free. peace likes his freebies and this could be a decent replacement for lukaku

We are intrested in him however he's not a free till next summer so a cut price deal may happen, apparently westbrom want ba aswell

16 Jun 2013 20:07:49

Just signed a new contract so can't see it

16 Jun 2013 19:56:51
Forest Green Rover's Bangura will sign for Bristol Rovers on a 2- year deal this week. Source: my uncle is a FGR board member and told me at dinner this evening.

Not heard anything in regards to this. I know he's a central midfielder but is he a DM more so than an AM?

This is not true.

Yep also heard this from a mate who supports Forest Green.

You loaded now then? FGR are and with Bangura having 2 years left on his contract you'll need to shell out 6 figures if you want him.

16 Jun 2013 19:48:48
Chesterfield keen to sign Roy Carroll on pay-as-you-play deal.

I doubt it

Can't see how this would benefit either party to be honest

We have two goalkeepers why would we sign a third?

Back again with more Ipswich Town news for you all;

Incoming;
Stephen Henderson - season long loan deal.
Richard Stearman - I understand player has agreed terms, however Wolves are holding out for a fee in the region of 850k.
Reece Brown - set to sign a 2 year contract this week. Will provide back up in many areas.
Owain Fon Williams - also set to sign a 2 year deal this week. Will provide competition for Henderson and Loach.
Joel Grant - I understand a 2 year deal has been offered, with the player keen to join.
Harry Forrester - I'm told town have dropped interest in him.
Chris Forrester - ITFC are still very much keen on him, with talks progressing well.
Karl Henry - a player I'm told McCarthy would love at Ipswich, however wages and fee could end ITFC's interest.
Kirk Broadfoot - set to sign a 2 year contract with Ipswich Town.

Outgoings;
Michael Chopra - understand theirs been many enquiries for him, however, due to his big wages, no clubs are prepared to pay a fee for him.
Jay Emmanuel-Thomas - again, talks ongoing with many clubs. I understand 4 clubs are very keen to bring him here.

Think you've missed Cresswell off the outgoings. Shame because it shows this is just your personal wish list as its almost certain he'll leave for a big prem team.

I've only included firm goings ons. Cresswell likely to be going but still no firm offers or interest. When there is I will let you know.

Sorry, but you talk a load of HOT AIR. it is total guess work.

I guess we will will see come the beginning of the season

Need stears back, broadfoot is half the player imo. Couple of wingers, couple of keepers and some young back up at centre half and we'll be set

These are all just from a town fan site hardly insightful

16 Jun 2013 19:16:32
Chesterfield are keen on Swindon's Gary Roberts to strengthen their options on the left flank. The league 1 player has 1 year left on his contract but all parties are keen to do a deal.

Apparently he is on 7k a week, can chesterfield afford that, hope so as he did'nt find form all season

They can't afford that but they are looking at giving him a decent wage over a longer term. Say 2. 5k - 3k over 3 years rather than his current one year deal.

You can take him please, it will save the equivilent of 2 good players wages for us.

17 Jun 2013 11:54:59
What 2 good players are you talking about we have not got many left

I will personally drive Roberts to Chesterfield. #Stroud Red

17 Jun 2013 17:13:28
was looking round the club monday. would be a good signing for league 2 definetely

16 Jun 2013 19:08:53
Eddie Nolan to sign a new contract for Scunthorpe this week.

16 Jun 2013 18:56:46
wba are interested in porto winger christian atsu

Yeah but only one of many teams with an interest

16 Jun 2013 17:48:03
victor moses signing for cardiff city on monday 4 a season long loan

Lol yeah that would explain why his agent has been speaking with officials at west brom in the past week, rubbish rumour mate

It would be really good if we went in for Moses and Marko cause they're both in need of game time and the need to prove themselves we would like to sign quality players if they're available without wasting money, not sure if the rumour is true but the interest might be true, the interest in Chelsea's unused players is very high

16 Jun 2013 18:52:44
man utd are set to take a loss on portuguese winger bebe joining sporting lisbon for around 1.5 million

16 Jun 2013 18:12:00
Bournemouth to test Burnley's resolve with a second bid for their former striker Danny Ings. The Cherries failed with a £1 million bid a fortnight ago but are set to come back with an offer nearer the Clarets £1.3 million asking price. Cherries boss Eddie Howe is a big admirer of Ings and wants to build his team around him.

I doubt he wants to build a team around danny ings.

16 Jun 2013 23:51:13
I think he's too much of a risk. I know he's young & had potential but I worry about his injury record. No. I'd rather we didn't sign him but then Eddie Howes the expert!

I for one have seen Ings play and I don't think he is worth the money.
Let him stay at Burnley

Build our team around him? :L We'll be in League 2 very shortly.

Please. We DO NOT WANT Danny Ings back at Dean Court! He's not good enough or big enough to lead the line. We already have Pitman & Tubbs who are better players. What we need is a big man up front for those two to feed off. Bring back Sam Vokes or break the bank and sign someone like Carlton Cole for example.

Cherry picking

If you'd rather have vokes over ings then you must have never seen them play. feel free to take vokes

^^^^ why you slagging of a ex youth academy graduate wish him all the best with us or without

Carlton cole to bournemouth ha I've heard it all now!

Finally someone who talks sense! Matty tubbs IS BETTER than Ings! Love to see Bartley back and a good all round defensive cover then wait to see where we are in January! Let the squad prove themselves they are young and hungry EIEIEIO

Marvin Bartley stated he would not play for us again unless we sold him so why would we want him back now we can match his wages utciad

How is tubbs better than ings

If Howe really rates Ings that much, he may well get the chance. He's not quite made it yet for Burnley, while offering some glimpses of just what a good player he may become. Our loss I suspect if he goes to AFCB. To the person who preferred Vokes to Ings; you've got to be kidding, right? Bartley is a 100% trier for BFC, and all the more likeable for that, but not sure he's Championship level.

We would choose vokes over ings simple for his heading ability and height ings is very much head down and very skill full forward which we have a few under 6ft forwards on our books

No, seriously. You don't want Vokes. Don't know why I'm saying this - we Clarets should be bigging him up trying to offload him but just have to be honest. He's really not very good.

16 Jun 2013 18:07:42
walsall are to retain will grigg ( had interest from west bromwich )and febian brandy ( interest from yeovil and sheffield utd). They will both sign 1 year deals with the club ( all there willing to accept). Paterson will also stay as huddersfield bids will go no higher. Westcarr is to leave as wants higher wages than walsall are willing to pay.

Think brandy is a done deal

Looks like Paterson may leave on a free in the future. Good business for Walsall? Pay his wages for another year and then wave goodbye. or try to cash in now?

^Good point, they should cash up now and get something for him while they can!

Surely the club will be trying to negotiate an extension to his contract.

Pato is 21, we can keep him for another year and still command a fee, he could sign a 2 year deal now and let it run out and walsall command a fee as he would still be under 24. If someone wants him now stump up the asking price or wait a year. We don't want to or need to sell, he is vital to our promotion push and he knows to become better he needs regular football which he will get at walsall instead of being a bench warmer in the championship. He wants to stay he has already said, so he can stay a year see if walsall get promoted then decide on his next move and it works out best for all parties. Walsall go up he signs a new contract, walsall stay where they are he can weigh up his options and decide if its time to move on.

Cash will still be on offer next year and year after as he is only 21 now. So why rush, if hudds want him then they have to pay up or shut up.

Calm down dear they are only rumours

18 Jun 2013 14:27:42
things you don`t hear very often in same sentence - walsall and promotion push.

Hmm is it me or did Walsall seem to be chasing for a play off place last season. I believe that would bea promotion push!

16 Jun 2013 18:12:54
Source for Ings rumour is Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

16 Jun 2013 18:12:15
Any Bristol Rovers fans got any info on Oli Norburn apparently Huddersfield have agreed to sign him on a free transfer.

Not heard anything our end. He's a decent little player but tries to be too fancy most of the time. He isn't much of a presence either. He had verbally agreed to sign a new deal with us a few weeks back but the fact he hasn't signed yet perhaps suggests things aren't sorted.

Oli Norburn? We have Oscar Goburn or Oli Norwood, neither of which will be leaving on a free transfer! The fact that someone commented on his abilities is hilarious tho! :)

Erm, think he means Oli Noburn - Bristol Rovers

Perhaps you should look at Oliver Norburn then!

Perhaps someone commented because Oli Norburn plays for Bristol Rovers and the original post was asking about him, oh dear you really do look like a tit. Don't you, I'd suggest reading and understanding are a vital skill if you intend to comment on message boards such as this one.

Oli Norburn plays for Bristol Rovers, however it would be confusing with Oli Norwood, Oscar Goburn and Oli Norburn all in same side, poor Oggy commentating on that one.

I think if you read it properly what is being said is that Huddersfield will be signing Oliver Noburn who is a Bristol Rovers player, and available on a free transfer.

This is about Norwood or Gobern. So people need to learn to read Oli Norburn is a midfielder playing for Bristol Rovers hence the reason the rumour says Huddersfield have agreed to sign him not Bristol have.

They would have to pay a fee as he's under the age of 24

Oil Norgate will be staying at Town

Norburn is expected to sign a 1-year deal at Rovers.

Nobby Gobburn also staying at town.

16 Jun 2013 17:22:41
Manchester United young midfielder Luke Giverin will sign for bury on 01/07 upon the expiry of his contract.
Blackwell also his his eye on resigning ebanks landell from wolves

Oh please no Ebank-landell was absolutely useless for us last season.

He couldn't tackle lost possession and his marker in midfield leading to countless goals for the opposing teams.

Not a fan of ebanks at the back 4 but put him in midfield I thought he did okay. plus playing at league 2 level might help him and might make him a better player, its like david luiz awful at the back but put him in the central midfield he plays better.

Not made a signing loads of rumours this one would be a nightmare!

16 Jun 2013 16:54:28
Derby interested in Matt Ritchie from Afc Bournemouth.

Is Matt Ritchie interested in us?

17 Jun 2013 11:32:27
Have to start at £2.5 million although I'd like to think Matt would at least give AFCB a season in the Championship. I think he's good enough for a lower Premiership team at least.

Ritchie wil sign for Sunderland soon.

U can keep him we are only interested in quality end off

Ritchie is going to Sunderland

Ritchie has not been tested at championship level, so would say premiership is wishful thinking. AFCB got him for a snip but feel he will do well next season at Bournemouth in the championship.

Don't want him. Jamie Ward and Michael Jacobs are both much better players that have Championship experience. Jacobs is even younger too.

16 Jun 2013 16:51:52
Curtis Davis is pushing through his move to Hull City 3 million fee

16 Jun 2013 21:44:13
Yes Gillingham should let him go for that fee, a good prospect

It's £3m plus Hobbs, but not sure if that's a loan or permanent.

Getting rid of hobbs would be a big mistake by steve bruce. good centre back and younger than curtis davies

"It's £3m plus Hobbs, but not sure if that's a loan or permanent. " - How could it be a loan of it's costing £3m + Hobbs?

Hobbs is a good player but I think the prem would be to fast for him there is much faster strikers that will punish him

Think he means hobbs on loan to Brum as part of the deal.

IT could be a £3 mill fee plus a season long loan of Hobbs in return for Curtis Davis for example.

Every saying hobbs ismt fast enough. if micheal turner can make it in the prem so can hobbs

16 Jun 2013 16:04:32
Chesterfield interested in Peterborough winger Daniel Kearns.

He would have to be on a free or loan

Im pretty sure Posh would expect a fee for this player

He seemed a creative and intelligent player, when Ferguson rarely picked him.

This could be rite as we are in need of a winger

I feel sorry for newport fans, whittaker couldn't make a tackle, made where he played a weak spot which teams exploited, Newport need a solid team to stay up, not someone who is only good for penalties and when he gets a chance to shoot he puts no power on the shot, for a midfielder this isn't good.

16 Jun 2013 16:02:11
Harry Forrester has left Brentford and will sign for Norwich instead

Dont know if he is prem quality

17 Jun 2013 08:23:38
Hmm, highly rated a few years back and joined Brentford over Ajax, however we already have Howson and Butterfield, how many young mids do we need?

Harry will sign a 2 year contract at Brentford today

He has just left norwich!

16 Jun 2013 15:58:43
2 players Championship side Yeovil are intrested in are Febian Brandy of Walsall and defender Dan Burn from Fulham. Brandy is expect to sign a permanent 2 year deal while Burn will return to the club on loan for the season.

Burn to sign for Peterborough, Jol is mates with Big Baz, done deal. He would be shown up in the championship so its back to league one for Dan.

Absolutely no chance of Dan Burn going back to league one. If Fulham loan him out again he'll most likely go back to Yeovil, or if not, a bigger Championship club.

No chance will Burny go to Peterborough, he's more than likely to come back to Yeovil and the deal suits every party down to the ground.

Dan Burn will be at Yeovil next season, he already said he loved it here and stated his desire to have another loan spell in this upcoming season, he would choose Yeovil over peterborough all day long because he knows what he is going to get at the club

Serge Gnabry could be heading to Bradford or Brewe on loan

Brewe are a very good team. In the words of Alan Partridge, they play "liquid football". I hope he signs for them.

Huddersfield Town closing in on atleast two signings this week, possibly Dale Jennings and Simeon Jackson.

Jennings isn't a target according to Clibbens & Jackson will have plenty of interest from top end championship clubs. Would like both but can't see them happening tbh.

Our Cheif Executive (Nigel Clibenns) and our local paper (the examiner) have dismissed all rumours that we are signing Dale Jennings although I would LOVE to see him in the team!

Before the big kickoff the Terriers will bring in seven new players. Three attackers/strikers of which one will be a loanee, one wide player, one central midfield, one central defence (loan) and a goal keeper as serious competition for Smithies.

Its not Dale jennings and simeon Jacksons wages are too high, so I don't know where you get your info from, but its bad!

Jennings having a medical at Barnsley today, good signing, Terriers must have other irons in the fire to let him sign for the Tykes without a fight.

PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot is attracting interest from West Brom, Southampton, Toulouse, Lille and West Ham after a succesful loan spell at Toulouse he is looking for First Team football which he can not be guaranteed at his parent club PSG

Good little player, would love to see him in the prem, but with westbrom setting up a loan move for demba ba I don't think they will want too many loan players

You think West Brom are going to loan in Demba Ba? Oh dear.

Ha ^^ Demba ba to west brom.
Brilliant.

To the two comments above, Demba Ba is going to be sold by Chelsea to make room for their targets and Mourinho doesn't think Ba will fit into his plans, they would rather sell than loan however West Brom have been linked with a loan deal for the striker.

Bailey

I don't see Demba Ba leaving for West Brom to be honest but there are a lot of strikers at Chelsea with a couple more to sign if you believe the speculation so Ba could be loaned out I guess.

Anyone questioning the ba to Albion comment, please check a web site and you will find the article

^ Doesn't mean it's true? A lot of articles are just speculation

Haha cavani to chelsea brilliant

Brighton coach Charlie Oatway's suspension to be lifted this week; Tarrico to leave with Poyet when compensation is all agreed. Oatway's name will be in the hat for manager if other targets aren't sorted immediately as Brighton are worried they are leaving it all too late with transfers and pre-season plans.

Source: Another (unnamed) ex-Brighton player who has been contacted by Oatway to be part of the set-up should it happen.

How ill informed you are. Oatway doesn't even have an A license to coach, he's the clubs dressing room jester, and that's about the extent of his skills. He'll be let go along with Poyet on Monday, and both will have a blemished record.

I am just passing on what I've been told. Apparently all is agree with Gus now so he'll be off today giving more time to replace him. If he doesn't leave today and this drags on for another couple of weeks then we'll see where Oatway pops up shall we.

Bloom won't throw away the 2.5 million pounds compensation he will wait for any club to pay it!

I'm pretty sure Oatway wrote this. HILARIOUS

Brighton drawn at home to League Two Newport County in the League Cup 1st round. Great

I agree with the above comment. He doesn't have a coaching licence, therefore I believe there's no way he would be assigned coach. At most he would stay at the club with a new manager, providing he's in the managers plans, which is unlikely.

Mind you if charlie is in charge there will be some interesting press interviews!

There have been some interesting press interviews with Charlie

Peter odenwingie of WBA & Nathan redmond of Birmingham city are both close to completing deals at Crystal Palace fc. A combined value of around £4 million for the pair is set to become Ian Holloway's first signings of the summer.

Odemwingie will go for at least £2.5million, so that means Redmond is worth £1.5 million, someone has got their
sums wrong somewhere, as Redmond as got to be worth double that.

Doubt Palace will sign either player. They'll probably stick to Bosmans and 'Free' transfer signings or those of a relatively low transfer fee (i. e. around the 500k to 1.5m mark). So let's get real and accept that there won't be any big money signings this transfer window.

Odenwingie will more than likely join Swansea.

Would be a great double signing but I don't know if we will get them both

You'd have to double that to get em, not going to happen

Still good value at double that

We only just put in a bid of £2 mill for Redmond on the 18th so unless you can see the future it is a false rumour

danny simpson and chris baird closing in on free deals at wba. carlton cole expected to follow.

Carleton cole no, no, no

16 Jun 2013 19:02:18
No interest in Cole, Simpson is no longer a target although Baird rumour is a very strong possibility, if you believe the local journalists and their reports.

Cole signed for QPR last weekend.
Baird is going to go to Scotland.
Simpson is a decent signing if true.

Cole signed for QPR last weekend.

Baird is the only possibility and personally I don't rate him

Some idiots are still chewing on the old Carlton Cole bone, aren't they? He's not going to WBA as was explained some time ago.

Jamie Patterson looks set to stay at walsall as he was used to promote their new kit, rumours the Fabian Brandy is to stay at walsall also appear true as the striker does not want to travel from Manchester to the south coast

Be off for nowt next summer then.

I think the kit pro, o was more like a ploy to Jamie to stay, rather than a sign he'd agreed to stay. He'll likely be off to Huddersfield now they've denied reports about signing Jennings.

Hudders ain't got the money. If Patterson runs his contract down the sadds will be due compo as he will only be 22. Cough up or shut up.

They wouldn't be due a penny of compensation if he ran out his contract, as he wouldn't belong to Wasall anymore. Plus saying Huddersfield don't have the money is ridiculous, more an likely is they've already bought Paterson for around 500-750k, not Saddlers fans inflated valuation of £1.5 mil or whatever it is.

Huddersfield have bid no more than £200k - where do these figures of £500k+ keep coming from?! Unless someone comes in at this level then Walsall won't even enter into discussions with them. Walsall hold the cards here as even if he waits until the end of his contract as he will still be under 24 and so Walsall will get compensation.

Grigg is in talks, mainly about length of contract. That said, there are some Championship teams still with a potential interest.

Charlton To Resign former fan Favourite Dan Seabourne after his release from Southampton,

Seabourne impressed while on loan at the valley and is thought to be better than Current LB Rhoyys Wiggins

This Signing could see Wiggins on his way out of the Valley and to Burton Albion on a free

Seaborne hasn't been released from Southampton? Won't be needed next season so will almost certainly be sold.

Seabourne's a centre back not left back

This was believable until you said Wiggins to Burton

Why would they sign him and resign him? That would cost too much money.

Why would they sign him and resign him? That would cost too much money.

I don't really remember seaborne playing that much so not a fan favourite imo and wiggins is good LB, he is good enough for us because he managed to get injured for like six months and get straight back into the first team

Your a very funny guy with a good sense of humour.

16 Jun 2013 20:26:57
seabourne certainly not a fans fav, Wiggins quality

Good luck, we released him as he is no good! Only bought to play in league1

Seabourn is not better than Wiggins. Wiggins is one of our best players.

16 Jun 2013 21:30:29
I remember wiggins from when he was at b'mouth, A great attacking left back, unless he has degraded drastically in the 2 years at charlton they would be persons to let him go, I saw Seabourne at both CB and LB, is good cover, but he seemed to struggle with league 1 (probably due to lack of match time) and at LB, unbalanced the defence.

I heard this too, wiggins has been awful this season, hope he goes, might be able to get like 50k for him though

Thought seaborne was a class act, easily prem standard

Wiggins is a decent player and Seabourne flopped when on loan

Since when did Seaborne become a LB?

Sorry but who ever said wiggins was awfull are you being serious or just blind?

Can't believe what I am reading. This must be a wind up. Wiggins is a good player and does a good job at CAFC.

Wiggins missed half the season from that injury against palace 5 games into the season, he's a much better full back than that Wilson, you must be blind if you think seaborne is prem slandered.

"I heard this too, wiggins has been awful this season, hope he goes, might be able to get like 50k for him though

Thought seaborne was a class act, easily prem standard"

Funny man.

Since when is wiggins awful in league 1 he got over 15 assists and consistently good, he's worth at least 400k not going to let him go for a free either

Charlton Life is also confirming this rumour

Doubt charlton life knows in and outs about transfers.

seabourne could signed but I doubt wiggins will be leaving when he's one of are best players

Evina will probably go, so if this is true he will be a reserve in case wiggins gets injured again, - wiggins is a great player, hard to find a better LB at championship level!

Seaborne started well at Bristol City but became a long ball defender (like Llera)

Seaborne is useless?, wiggins is one of our top players, stop making up this nonsense, peasents

Fan favourite? Did you go to a single game he was even playing? DONKEY

Sorry, this is a rumour site, not a joke site

Championship News

Steele replacing the Anfield-bound Mignolet. Lee Cattermole and cash in the region of 1M.

Also Watford and Charlton have joined Millwall in the race for Simeon Jackson. 12K per week should secure the services of the Jamaican born Canadian Striker.

Finally, Big Mick McCarthy intends to raid his old club Wolves. Christophe Berra is a done deal but expect Karl Henry to join him. The ballwinner is contracted until 2016 and Wolves value him at 750K

C'mon SJ & join the 'WALL' mate! Hope to see you next season?

Watford won't get Simeon Jackson, too higher wages when compared to other talent we intent to bring in.

No way will Charlton Watford or Milwall pay Jackson 12k a week - top side 6-8 and that is his real value - his agent will just have to suck it up.

Terrible rumours. Why would watford want the same player as two relegation candidates. Also we can get a much better player from udinese who will be on less money {Ed003's Note - relegation candidates are usually identified after christmas not before a ball has been kicked.}

That's Millwall out then

C'mon Simeon forget the rest & join the 'BEST' mate! COYL You will love the atmosphere at the New Den!

Watford will not be interested in simeon jackson. utter nonense

Don't think Watford fans have release they can't have umpteen amount of players from abroad now.

^ I will end that point here. Yes we can, we just won't loan over 5 of them. We can sign them permanently for free like Forestieri. Sorry.

Hogg is going to sign permanently from Villa so that will free up a loan place in the Watford squad.

Can't have loans, but watch the free transfers from the other clubs in the group happen.

Who says Watford can not have umpteen amount of players from abroad. There are no rules restricting how many Watford can have in a squad. There is a minimum number of home grown British players in a match day squad. And the limit on overseas "loan players" has been made to match the domestic loans. But Watford will own them.

Why can't we. The pozzo voted for he rule aswell the only reason we had so many loans last season was because we were under an embargo and didn't have time to sort permanent transfer

Why wouldn't Millwall pay Jackson 12-15K a week? They were paying Henderson 12K a week last season & we should have 'BIGGER' crowds this season with a 'NEW' manager & new players!

^ so like every other league club! So you CAN'T sign umpteen on loan can you? Just the same a everyone else!

But will they want to sign for watford? when they are on loan if all goes tits up they still belong to undinese but if they sign for watford they won't and they will get replaced.

As a Watford fan, jackson wouldn't be a bad signing as when in the championship with norwich he scored a fair few

Erm. nothing to say we can't buy Udiness squad players for 1p and then sell them back at the end of the season for 1p if they don't work out!

Well that's is half your team then

I'm a Watford fan and please don't believe that every single one has the arrogance of some above. I agree that we will most probably sign players on frees from Udinese, but Simeon Jackson isn't a bad player at all and if this were true I wouldn't be disheartened. At the very least he can provide some pace and energy from the bench. Don't get carried away and think we're now too good for the likes of Jackson, he's a good player that provides something different to both Deeney and Forestieri.

I would have him over Forestieri all day long. Quick and a great finisher at Championship level. I don't think he would go to a team where he will sit on the bench anyway. He was offered a new contract at Norwich but turned it down to seek a team that can offer him regular starts. Perfect for Millwall, I hope we get him.

Watford can get better than simeon jackson.

Who are these people that keep saying Hogg is going to sign from Villa. He was never on loan. He signed a 3 year contract two years ago so has a year left on his 3 year contract. Please get with the program or stop making mindless uninformed comments.

HHAHHAA better than forestieri, brilliant. Do you go to games?

^ The Hogg thing is clearly a joke, it's not mindless or uninformed. It's a bit of fun, 'please get with the program'.

Millwall were paying Rob Hulse 15k a week when he was on loan last season so anyone saying we can't pay Jacksons wages is lying, not only that but Berylson has given Millwall a big budget this summer FACT!

Better than Forestieri? Don't be so ridiculous! Jackson's record at Norwich is fairly uninspiring. 17 goals in 73 games. Is that worth £12k a week. Millwall paid Hulse £15k a week?! He saw you lot coming!

Would like to see the FA sanction 1p football transfers. Deluded Watford fans!

What exactly are you basing your opinion that Forestieri is a better player? Anyway this is a nothing argument as it appears that Charlton are in the hot seat to get him.

The fact that Forestieri got nearly a goal or assist per game and Jackson, although a good player, isn't that good. Also why should free transfers be banned? Who would decide where the right price line is? For most lower Football League clubs the line would most likely be too high. It wouldn't matter anyway, as the money would go to the same people. You're just bitter about the whole loan situation (which btw, anyone could have done, so you can't exactly say we weren't playing fair as your club could have done exactly the same) and now want to change any random rule to make us unable to get players from Udinese or Granada, which, frankly, is ridiculous.

Forestieri is from the same academy as Messi & Maradona; he has played in the Italy U17's, U19's, U20's and U21's, along with a number of appearances for both Malaga and Empoli.

Simeon Jackson has played for Rushden & Diamonds and Canada.

Yeah OK. Add Watford to that list and it doesn't really have the same ring to it.

16 Jun 2013 13:32:26
Fulham, westham and wba all want Jermaine defoe after the playwer was toild he could move on.

Would be a great signing. He is a natural goalswcorer. just the type of player we need. go for him baggies

16 Jun 2013 23:16:06
No chance of him joining Albion. As much as I'd like to see him up here wages is one issue and the fact he wouldn't want to leave London is another. west ham is possible

I guess if he likes London then he may as well join Fulham because I don't think spurs would sell to West Ham.

He says he is staying at tottenham!

Crystal Palace look to bring former favourite Jose Fonte from Southampton for a fee of around 1m. Fonte likes the club and fits the style manager Ian Holloway hopes to bring to the Premier League.

This is frustratingly likely considering Fonte won't get a look in with Lovren and Yoshida at the club. Don't really want him to go especially to a Premiership rival. If this happens I hope we get a decent fee, preferably more than £1million.

Might be on the cards. There have been numerous posts about fonte going to reading so perhaps with the arrival of a new cb means he is available for sale.

A step up for him if he does join

That has a 0% chance of happening. Fonte was bought for this amount with Palace in financial difficulty meaning an even lower price. Now he is a Premier League defender. £1m. your having a laugh!

Realistic Saint

Wishful thinking from a Palace fan here. I hope we keep Fonte but if he does go it will be for at least 2 mill maybe more

1m haha we paid over 2m for him and won't sell him for less after he played in prem lol at palace

Wots that 1m up front with other 2 to follow!?

Yeah wouldn't really like him to go before hooveild, better back up but if the astori deal is still on then that's ok, we don't know. let's see

I think we'd take anhything for him to get him off the wage bill. He's obviously not going to start next season so £1m would be fine.

Can not believe some of the posts regarding Fonte.
Our Current CB's : Fonte, Yoshida, Forren, Lovren and Hooiveld.

Our squad will include 4 CB's at the very least. There is no doubt that Forren, Yoshida and Lovren will all be on this list due to Lovren being just signed, Forren has also recently signed and will have his chance this season. Yoshida has been our best CB this season.

At this point we still will need at least one more CB in the squad for cover. Are you all telling me that Hooiveld has been better than Fonte since he arrived?

Im guessing you all just watch highlights.

1m will not be high enough, nor willwe want to sell him unless we sign another, or he demands to leave.

Realistic Saint.

^agree with realistic saint on this one. In addition to this we also need to start developing our squad rotation & a mentality of one defender in so one must go doesn't sit right with this. also, we will need to field a fairly decent cup team to get a decent cup run under our belt in addition to focussing on league position. I think this season NC will not tolerate a "ditch the cup" to focus on league thought process.

I can see Hooiveld and Fonte going as much as I like Fonte) if we sign Astori when he's back from brazil

Can see fonte wanting to leave if he is sat on the bench, let's hope the new signings prove to be good. Still feel Luke shaw will be on his way, although I hope not, every player has his price.

We won't be getting another CB, and will hopefully sell Hoiveld not Fonte, and a step up to go from Saints to Palace? What planet are you on mate?

Poch prefers Hooiveld and he was the better player towards the end of the season. Also Hooiveld has scored more goals
-_- Haha

Chelsea are set to test tottenhams resolve to hang on to kyle walker by launching a 20 million bid for the England international. {Ed018's Note - for what? he's not playing over Azpilicueta or Ivanovic}

Not the same class as azpi or ivan

Is this a wind up? Kyle Walker not in the same class as Azpilicueta!

Have a word with yourself, Walker is head and shoulders above Azpilicueta who gets bullied of the ball too easily and offers very little in an attacking sense.

16 Jun 2013 12:31:32
Thomas rogne has entered talks with middlesbrough despite competition from cash stripped birmingham

This rumour has some substance. Boro have recently cropped the defence and off-loaded McManus and Bikey. It would be good for MFC if such a deal came off though. time will tell?

One of Tony Mowbrays old boys so could be true

Would be a good signing, entirely possible, he does want to leave Celtic this summer.

Watford interested in Alen Halilović from dinamo zagreb. Been on the radar of the trios scouting network for some time.

Haha no chance mate (from a watford fan). All the big european clubs are after him for about £15 million.

Wow, this guy's 17 tomorrow and he's already played for Croatia! Watford should sign him!

This guy won't sign (from another wfc fan), unless the pozzos want him for Udinese

Crawley will finally sign 2 new players on Mon/Tue, the first being Andy Drury and the second an unamed striker although there are strong rumours it will be sanchez watt.

Richie's barmy army are skint they couldn't afford these player's bus fares to the ground.

16 Jun 2013 17:15:36
Watts at Colchester i'm afraid

Drury. Good signing.
Watt. Not a good signing. Good enough for Rotherham, but not Crawley standard.

Watt. No - Low promised "exciting" players so can't be Watt. Pray it's Tubbs

Will be watt with John Bostock to follow

Very disappointing "exciting" players. If this proves true, Low has over promised and under delivered "exciting" players

Watt not good enough

Watt is much better than tubbs I dunno Wats wrong with crawley fans Yeh tubbs was good at conference and league 2 but he clearly cannot play in league one he is getting on now we need someone like watt you is young and a very good player he scores good goal plus with Bostock confimed we don't need tubbs

Big players to be announced today or tomorrow could be Bostock or tubbs

I doubt if Crawley have the money Drury would want, he must be on Championship wages. If he does sign for Crawley it will be a last minute decision because no bigger clubs came in for him.
Watt might be a more realistic issue with what Barker wants.

Its dragging on a bit whoever it is if anybody

Drury signed and confirmed by CTFC. Tubbs up next

Drury signs for Crawley "OFFICAL"!

Crawley Town have announced that Andy Drury signs a 2 year deal

Ever Banega is off to Southampton

Saints have made a 9 Mill Euros bid, but haven't heard anything about it being accepted. From reports in Spain this is possible but unsure for what price.

He's got clubs in champs league after him so doubt we'll get him

Hope so. Also Banega is a Newells old boys fan where Pochettino spent the majority of his career and is a club legend so quite a big part to play in the deal.

16 Jun 2013 10:56:01
Scott flinders has been approached by middlesbrough who have asked him to come to see rockliffe on Monday, personally I think he is the man we need to keep Steele on his toes

Possible, but we don't really need him.

Lee Crofts car seen at New York stadium yesterday. Expect him to sign for Rotherham from Oldham some time next week.

By the way he doens;t own a Porsche as said in an earlier post.

Least get the make of car correct and Oldham fans know his car pity you don;t.

Plus he's on holiday.

Sooooo wrong again with your rumours.

Croft isn;t coming from oldham as he is no longer with our club and hasn;t been for a few weeks.

least gets your facts right, the guy is a player now with NO CLUB DUE TO A POOR AGENT.

Relax. there's blowing holes in rumours, then there's that.

Oldham will miss his goals oh sorry he didn't score any. oh and his fitness is an issue, it took him half a season to be the right weight close of season would be a temptation to pile the weight on.

Kidderminster striker Anthony Malbon is been monitored by a host of L1 & L2 clubs including Chesterfield, Fleetwood, Rotherham and Port Vale.

Bradford City are also one of those clubs.

Malbon is playing at abiout the right level. Michael gash looked better at KHFC - can't see a return to Vale anytime soon.

In a move that's bound to cause raised eyebrows with fans at Preston North End.

Chairman Peter Ridsdale is coming to the end of negotiations with a household company to commercially rename the Deepdale stadium.

The money generated from this long term deal will see PNE repay debts to the RBS for the stadium and give manager Simon Grayson money to buy new players for the coming season.

The announcement of this deal will be made on Thursday.

Peter Ridsdale confirmed £45M of debts in early 2013, so unless this is the mother of all sponsorship's then PNE will still be deep in trouble. Another administration coming!

No RBS debt at PNE. Only loan is from the owner Mr. Hemmings, loan to his "own" club PNE.

What is it WINALOT?

16 Jun 2013 16:43:16
this will never happen the fans would go mad and riddler knows this, preston are set to be sponsored by a big name company and this will bring in huge funds for Grayson to spend also hume will stay and take a wage cut

Is that the RBS debt in the form of a mortgage which the health authority is paying through a 99 year rental agreement?

16 Jun 2013 17:12:58
why o why do people make up stupid rumours preston are in debt like all clubs but by the amount people are saying, top 6 for preston

I believe the company sponsoring PNE is ANDREX.

16 Jun 2013 19:09:43
£45mil that is utter b******s
45 million would send every league 1 club under
preston are in debt by £20mil now with most of out being owed to Trevor hemmings (owner)

Debt to bank is actually 15m (don't know if RBS or not) and remainder of the 45m is the owner. The bank debt is the mortgage on the stand.

This post just shows how little football fans know about pne, were not in a lot of debt, hemmings has 'lent' us most of the debt people are talking about, and tbh I doubt he'll ask for it back as he's a full on north end fan. i'd expect when he leaves the club he'll pass the clubs on to his sons to continue the work and I highly we'll be asked to pay back the full debt and if we are it will be over a very long period of time that will be convenient and financially viable for both parties.

wigan are closing in on a loan deal for m. utd youngset nick powell though hull have shown interest of late

What on Earth would he want to go to Wigan for when Hull can offer him Prem football, no brainer.

Hmmm. Maybe because Wigan have European football to offer and he'd get more games. No Brainer

Middlesbrough have first refusal when it comes to man. you loaning out players, I doubt they would let an opportunity like that go easily

There are legs in this rumour, as for Boro getting first option on man united loans, that's garbage. Only need to look at Cleverley to see that.

Strong rumours also that Wigan would like to take Myiachi again on loan from Arsenal after his injury hit spell from last season.

Is that why they angelo henriquez go then?

Boro might have first refusal but dosent mean the player would want to go

aston villa, fulham and wba have all be credited with an interest in p'boro striker dwight gayle

Dwight Gayle WILL NOT be going anywhere as the chairman Barry Fry said it will take a ridiculous amount of money for them to sell

Villa don't want Gayle, we are signing Helenius.

Can you see tight- fisted Wenger paying the sort of fee we have quoted for Benteke?
His record fee is still only 15 million pounds.
It's all gone silent in the media in the last week about Benteke.
They have realised he is going nowhere.
I just wish he would stop messing around and sign the new contract now.

Peteborough quoted a ridiculous £10m for him and everyone quite rightly told them to f off

arsene wenger is ready to make a big summmer move for aston villa striker christian benteke

16 Jun 2013 10:06:22
everton, westbrom amd sunderland all want wigans james mcarthy

Couldn't afford him, at least 12 million

None of these clubs could afford him

Those clubs mentioned aren't big enough for James. He's capable of playing at a top 4 side, also he has a 15-20M price tag which none of these sides could afford.

Wigan have put a 20million price tag on him and Tottenham are willing to offer 22million

Unfortunately for them, so do a lot of big clubs. Not happening i'm afraid.

Unfortunately for them, so do a lot of big clubs. Not happening i'm afraid.

16 Jun 2013 20:04:47
12mil? you having a joke? knock 5 mil off that.

Over-priced and over rated - This has got to be a joke 15-20 mil? Suarez cost liverpool 23 mil - The best striker in the premier last season. Much better talent and footballing mind. You are off your rocker saying he is worth that much, Deluded wigan fans

Yeah clearly deluded when carroll cost 35, downing cost 20 and Henderson cost 20. That makes a player like Mcarthy worth even more, the experience he has at his young age is invaluable and he's more than good enough to play for any team in this league. Trust wigan fans we saw Valencia baines and moses develop, we know a good player when we see one

Over rated, yes, over priced, no. Wigan have no financial need to sell so can set prices to discourage bids until the player asks to leave. A bid of around £15m would be accepted in a heartbeat.

I agree, we have seen more good young players come through than most.

McCarthy has come of age this season, he has bulked up and can now handle himself, for me this was what had been missing from his game although I see him as more of an attacking midfielder than a holder, which is what he was doing under Judas.

No secret the likes of Arsenal, Spurs etc are looking long and hard. They were when we signed him but he wanted regular football. I really believe this lad could be as good as Steven Gerrard, who is a player I very much admire.

If you said we could punt him out for 12-15 million and keep everyone else I would snap your hands off.

16 Jun 2013 10:05:22
westham are set to make a move for former captain scott parker.

Scott Parker was never captain at West Ham he just acted like he was, Marrhew Upson was captain unfortunately.

Looks like Andre Gray is joining Gillingham with an unnamed player going as part of the deal. Though we are getting some cash. Brian P

16 Jun 2013 20:48:33
Unnamed player is likely to be Adam Birchall

I'll be happy with him, though gutted Andre is leaving

Adam will be prolific at your level if he stays injury free, is Andre an out and out striker?

Could be a gills player by next week when they return for training next week.

4 Nice cars have just pulled up at Fratton Park along with Guy and some other official looking people. One of the guys was Ricky Holmes, and I think one was Calvin Zola, but I couldn't be sure I was too far away to see his face, but he was tall with dreadlocks. Two other young lads got out, but I didn't recognise. My guess is Cooper and Rooney. Obviously, only Holmes is definite, but it looks to be an active Sunday and week for PFC!

Play Up Pompey

Danns from Leicester is my guess as he's looking for a club

Mate there is a Portuguese football agent with dreadlocks, based in London, who travels round clubs representing different players. Could be him, 100% true. All the best PNE.

Zola doesn't have dreadlocks and he's not signing for Pompey, so there!

16 Jun 2013 09:48:36
Middlesbrough to announce the signing of dean whitehead next week and sunderland have made an offer of 3.5 million for jason steele, mignolet looks like going to liverpool and steele looks the perfect replacement. With the funds from the deal middlesbrough will bring in maghoma for 300k, joszef varga from debrecen (deal agreed and done even if steele deal falls thro), gary dicker from brighton and also Lopez fron brighton.
Boro need to sell when a large offer comes in and unfortunately it looks like another likely sale is carayol to forest for 3 million.
All of the signings boro make will be on a strict budget.
But the signs look good so far, the sale of carayol is something that makes for good business sense and is likely to upset fans however the players coming in to replace him will make the club stronger.

I hope not mate, not to bothered about carayol but Steele for 3.5m is a steal (get it, lol)

Is your source reliable?

Maghoma would be a free so his whole post becomes invalid

So we are losing a keeper and a winger and bringing in four central midfielders? Mowbrays priority, as he himself has stated, is at least one 20 goal a season striker. how will he do this if the rest of his signings are on low wages etc?

Chesterfield boro, you have not got a clue, maghoma is a free transfer, Steele and carayol will not be leaving and dicker will not be joining boro

No way. Steele would not leave to one of our biggest rivals. And caroyol has a 3 year contract and has just completed a great first season in the championship, he is going no where!

Maghoma is a free agent and boro will not sell Steele to Sunderland because they are our rivals and we would be pathetic is we sold him. Mowbray and Gibson he said that they will reject any offer for carayol so don't have a clue where you go this from

This is complete rubbish! Why would Boro sell their best player to their closest rivals for £3million less than his value? And boro don't need to sell carayol for funds, our accounts are balanced so we don't need to get rid of anyone. Having said that, anyone leaving would allow us to sign more players

Maghoma is a free transfer on the 1st July. Plus we'd be stupid to sell Carayol unless we have someone like Adomah to replace him.

I thought that maghoma was a free transfer also but apparently it is going to cost the club 300k to sign him. As for carayol leaving I don't want him to and would see it as I step back in terms of exciting football.
Middlesbrough will have at least 8 new faces in their squad. I never believe any rumour till its signed, sealed and delivered.
As for my source of rumours, I live near sheffield and speak with lots of current pro's and ex-pro's on a weekly basis through work, look at the time I posted this 9am. I said that liverpool were going for mignolet then 2 hours later its announced on tv as . question it if you want to but their is one correct rumour.

Reading these posts makes me laugh. If the right cash is there for Steele and Caryol then they will go. I hope not because we need players of this calibre to be able to have any hope of a promotion bid. However we have a chairman who is regarded as a demi god who has not communicated with supporters for? to say what his intentions are. So we have to interpret his mouthpiece Mowbray and the facts seem to be if good bids come in players wiil leave no matter who they are. We are back to being a selling cub and to be honest I am not excited at the moment at any of the players linked. So expect Steele and Caryol to go.

I have too agree selling those 2 for peanuts is silly, plenty of really good free players that would gets us promotion, also we have around 4m in the kitty, players like Scott McDonald and Marvin emnes will definitely be leaving so we don't need to sell really

Incomprehensible that Boro would have such a massive turn-around of personnel. BTW, Maghoma FREE. NOT £300k

Thought Steele was a great keeper, but after Israel U21s, was very disappointed, good keeper, just has bad positioning, imho. UTA

All absolute rubbish, why post fictional figures??

Mignolet to Liverpool has been speculated about for the last 3 weeks! So that's hardly anything to go on. Hey I have a source and its on good authority that Valdes is leaving Barcelona and going to Monaco. You heard it here first. oh hang on you didn't because the same rumour has been in the paper for weeks and that's why Liverpool need a keeper because they are selling Reina to Barcelona.

I can't see Boro selling Carayol unless they will make a massive profit on him.

And to the others, Boro would sell to Sunderland. Remember we want Danny Graham from them.

Why would it cost the club £300,000 to sign a free transfer?

I doubt its true. But we should be snapping a teams hand off for 3 mil for carayol. I like the guy, but that's a hell of a profit and a big boost to the budget.

New Wolves boss Kenny Jackett wants to take Millwall striker Shaun Batt on loan.

Haha he's started the king of the loan market!!

Tries hard & is committed when 'FIT'? A league 1 player so you can take him Jackett! Would you like Scott Malone too? As he's a league 1 player as you know?

KJ seems to have a lot of confidence in batt as he offered him a new one year deal before he quit millwall wouldn't be a surprise if KJ makes more of a solid offer for Shaun after new millwall boss has had time to have a look at the players he has inherited

Rather kj buy him.

16 Jun 2013 14:53:26
Don't have too. He's out of contraxt

Batt is out of contract, so why would KJ take him on loan when he can sign him on a permanent deal?

It wouldn't surprise me if he goes, although I like Batt's attitude and commitment he just doesn't have the quality to cut it in the Championship. I have read most of the articles on Lomas coming to Millwall and he never once relates to Batt in his plans. He mentions Keogh, Marquis, O'Brian and even Easter.

Noble-Lazarus is interesting Huddersfields Mark Robins who has been a long time admirer of the Barnsley youngster. A figure of 450k has been bandied around although Flickers is unlikely to sell at that price. The Patterson deal is off and Jennings is definitely not going to either Barnsley or Huddersfield after a much bigger club have been in talk with the ex tranmere youngster

Hudds chief exec says town not after jennings.

Cant see this happening. we already have better at presnt. we are trying to improve.

How do you know this? Please explain.

Who is the big club that's come on for him?

Double it and you might have a chance. Of you had the money that is

I think this will definitely be RNLs make or break season. Robins may have been an admirer but can't recall him giving the lad that much game time. Think he owes Barnsley a good season before he goes anywhere.

Noble lazarus will not be signing for Huddersfield. Will be a regular in match day squad in coming season

How do I know this. it would be wrong for me to say apart from it is definitely true, whether or not Barnsley will accept the bid or not hasn't been confirmed yet. I know for a fact the Patterson deal is off and Huddersfield have no further interest in him. Jennings is also off the radar as confirmed by Clibbens yesterday

If he starts how he finished season worth ten times that

450K BID? Right you have bought is right leg what about the rest of him

Im a reds fan and we want more than 450 for Ruben and jennins is ours

16 Jun 2013 07:03:28
Don't know about this one but heard yesterday Saints may be interested in bringing Nathan Dyer
back, could this work if there's any truth in it?
Already supposed to have made initial enquiries.

Ipswich close to sealing a season long loan for west hams Stephen Henderson

15 Jun 2013 23:56:15
If Luke Steele leaves Barnsley FC then expect either Tommy Forecast (free) or Scott Flinders (Hartlepool) to sign as backup to Ben Alnwick.

My forecast is barnsley will not be signing either of these two :)

Steele to Bristol city for the money

Whether Forecast signs for Barnsley will depend if they want him as their no 1 or no 2. Can't see him wanting to be back up keeper.

Jennings will be with a premiership side with Barnsley;)

He only scored a couple of goals otherwise useless

16 Jun 2013 09:37:11
Ian harte who has just been released by reading is going back to carlisle on a one year deal

Believe some championship clubs are
watching the situation. I think that this will be the level he plays at next year.

Unlikely but if true let's hope he bangs in another 18 goals in one season from centre back

Would be a useful signing - cover for Chantler at left back for the start of the season
, as well as at centre back. Oh and the goals too!

Chantlers injury will go in to next season so we do need a left back not sure if we'd get Harte though

16 Jun 2013 09:14:52
Ipswich reported interest in re-signing Martin fulop once he recovers from his operation to have a tumour in his arm removed. Also reported to be in for former Swindon striker matt Ritchie, currently playing for Bournemouth. Derby also interested so it might go down to who can offer him the most money

Ritchie is a midfielder, can play all across the midfield and at left back, his best position is right wing. I do not think he will leave Bournemouth this summer as he only signed in January.

Ritchie is no striker! And he will not be leaving afcb.

He's a winger

Unless anyone has 2.5m to spend on Ritchie, he won't be leaving Bournemouth. Every player has his price and that is what it will cost.

Very doubtful as it seams Henderson is returning from west ham!

Love how Bournemouth fans suddenly rate Ritchie at 2.5 million yet reckoned he wasn't worth half a million when at Swindon, My how suddenly there opinions change.

Funny how the AFCB fans value MR at £2.5m all of a sudden. It was not long ago when they 'only' valued him at £0.5m when he was an STFC player

17 Jun 2013 06:23:55
Know thhe facts do you, AFCB had £1m turned down for MR, got him for £0.5m when STFC needed money quick. Now easy worth more than £2.5m

Just sums the Bournemouth fans up persons, they need to take them tinted goggles off, funny how they now think they are a big club? They will be bottom half of the table and will do well to stay up Matt needs to take a stone of his backside, at best he is only worth around £800,000 to a Million.

When you move to a bigger and better club your price tag increases, nice to still see some bitter Swindon fans, cheer up boys

^ What? One fan says he's valued at 2.5m & you generalize all the fans?

Yeah, well he is a Championship player now ;)

Di Canio said he was worth 2 mill when he won league 2 player of year! Now he's won league 1 player of year and in championship so you do the maths! :) EIEIEIO

But hasn't actually played in the Championship.

Championship player or not that's not how a player is valued however swindon sold him on the cheap when they had financial problems and could have got more money than what afcb offered but Derby would never waste 2.5m on a unproven championship or on any player

He's not worth 2.5 million, 1.5 million tops.

Swansea and West Ham both want Lukaku on loan.

Old news he's staying at chelsea

Has this rumour had a serious delay in getting published or something?

Along with 50 other clubs. not gunna happen i'm afraid

Thought he was staying with chelsea

As much as i'd love it, not going to happen, Chelsea want to keep him

Staying at Chelsea. Mourinho

Jose says he wants him to play so why would he go on loan and Lukaku has said himself only prem he will go to is wba

So what he's not that good

16 Jun 2013 09:00:09
Former Ipswich youngster Joe Whight could be the player to fill the gap in Colchesters squad felt by the departure of John White.

The younger JW can play at Left Back aswell as Centre Back and is known to the U's coaching staff, many of whom are closely linked to Town.

Whight has also impressed in U21 games & behind closed doors matches against the U's.

Colchester will be hoping he could be the next Tom Eastman in terms of a young player discarded by their near neighbours who goes onto star in the blue & white.

16 Jun 2013 07:49:24
The strong rumours flying around about Jamie Curetons move to Cheltenham are that it has been delayed because Exeter have now made an offer on striker and Cureton would prefer to remain at St. James Park next season over a move to Cheltenham.

The rumour is that a local firm have offered to pay Curetons wages for next season.

Possible apart from that he has already stated in local media at both ends that he doesn't want to stay at ECFC - wants to work closer to his Bristol home.

Cureton has been on holiday, hence has not signed for Cheltenham yet. The rumours of him being offered a contract by a third party are completely false.

Ref your 'rumour' above: See my comment dated 5th June about Cureton - this is not new, it is already well known.

Cureton set to be annouced by Cheltenham by Wednesday.

17 Jun 2013 16:05:19
Signing to Cheltenham will be announced within next 48 hours, from local media.

I doubt local reporters would risk ruining good relationship with the club by publishing rumours they can't verify.

Welsh rivals Swansea and Cardiff are looking to sign £12m-rated 27-year-old striker Bafetimbi Gomis from Lyon. (source BBC).

This is true both going to offer 6-8 million to try and sign him

Think Swansea being in Europe next season will attract players like Gomis!

Can cardiff really look to attract the calibre of players the swans can I mean swans are in Europe and a very good team to watch & develop players. Cardiff are new to the league and unproven

True if only Swansea could afford him but unfortunately you can't. Laudrup even said

Think he could go to Cardiff because they could bid higher than Swansea

SwanseaJack, are you sure Gomis wants to be a backup to Michi? Cardiff = first choice. Plus laudrup staying isn't a dead cert.

Its like remy with qpr money talks. and cardiff will put more on the table and the jacks. bluebirds!

Yeah! Laud rip said he needs to get some weight off of Michu's shoulders, so he could put them TOGETHER in the first team!

Not bad if he wants a 1 year contract. Otherwise he'll be in the Championship.

Cardiff comparison with qpr is about right spending money gets you nowhere. Takes more than just splashing money

Michu is a midfielder

Yeah but I think we all know by now Laudrup is going to be playing him up front!

Not when swans get a striker, michu has haid he prefers not to play up top, besides he's better when playing off striker, unfortunately we havnt got to see that too much

Yes cardiff

No not Cardiff!

Let time be the judge, not best guestimates from people who are not in the loop and have no clue :P

I read an article about Gomis! We (Swansea) are lining up a £8 million move and he looks AMAZING! let's hope for the best Swans!

15 Jun 2013 23:44:15
Swansea and Cardiff are chasing Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis.

Welcome to Cardiff.

He wouldn't choose Cardiff over swansea. Swansea are a much bigger club, from a spurs fan

The Above comment you have too laugh at! Haha you think he would choose Cardiff over swansea when the swans are in Europe! And an astablished premier league side! Don't make me giggle! Jacks all the way

The Above comment you have too laugh at! Haha you think he would choose Cardiff over swansea when the swans are in Europe! And an astablished premier league side! Don't make me giggle! Jacks all the way

If this is true then Cardiff have no chance. I am not sure Swansea would spend what is being quoted. IF Swansea are interested at price then Cardiff will be totally unable to compete with Swansea.

Cardiff are going to repeat QPR failure: spending big and go down.

We were nowhere near highest spenders and won the championship outright, so I wouldn't presume to know how our transfer policy works. Nothing like qpr, what a joke.

Middlesbrough in talks with Arsenal over the possible loan signing Benik Afobe on a season long loan deal

Was good last season for Millwall.

16 Jun 2013 11:03:19
Boro to sign, maghoma, ebanks Blake, whitehead, albert Adoma, with Danny Grahame and sammi ameobi comming on loan. Zemmana part x and main loan part of the Adoma deal. This is from source inside the club, deals may take till deadline day to complete, with loan deals taking longer.

He's out for 6 months got injured while on loan to Millwall last season

Rang rings round Bikey and McManus when they beat us at the Riverside, wouldn't say no!

Cardiff City Transfer News:
Don Cowie to Nottingham Forest
Joe Ralls to Birmingham (Loan)
Filip Kiss to Ipswich Town
Joe Mason to Leeds Utd (Loan)
Tommy Smith to Reading
Declan John to Northampton (Loan)
Ben Nugent to Warford (Loan)

Tommy Smith! No thanks, he's past it!

Its about time you stopped day dreaming

Cowie won't be going. he is good player and mackay likes him

Well there's the strength in depth gone then

You still think Reading are after small players where there looking for a quick return to the prem and on the verge of signing ex- Real Madrid player drenthe. Good one

We can do better than tommy Smith. This is lazy journalism because we were after him 4 or 5 years ago

Cowie will be going he didn't offer much in championship so what's he going to offer in the Prem?

I don't believe we're after Filip Kiss. We're after the coach driver, not the shotgun.
NM/ITFC

Tommy Smith was on our radar a few seasons back. Move on, we have!

Scunthorpe to sign Matt Sparrow, Cliff Byrne and Andy Welsh in the coming weeks.

With Grella and kennedy departing the club.

Matt Sparrow played very impressively at Crawley last season, and would be a good signing.

Money will have to be paid for Byrne, as Oldham have taken the option for the extra year on his contract, therefore he's under contract.

Scunthorpe is a place there Byrne loved so he would move or find a way to go for free

Do not want Byrne back. He is slow and could see a couple off deserved reds. Matt Sparrow would be a good league 2 signing and if we could get Howe he would bag 15-20goals. He could bank us a automatic. Pleased to see Nolan staying

You don't want byrne back?! He's what we need and that's more experience! also if he signed i'd say he would be on the coaching side too.
