Finally heard some news from a pretty reliable source regarding Man City. A few new names have been thrown into the mix for late on this window or early next, Messi and Etoo in a double swoop. Also the Kaka deal will go ahead h is 99 percent sure and it will go through this window. It seems that hughes is going for a massively attacking team, i assume with messi and etoo he is gonna try and play in the same way as Barca, would be nice to see in this league. H

Arsenal midfielder Alexandre Song is set to sign for Chelsea in the next few days. The two clubs have already agreed a fee in the region of £8m, and Chelsea have offered Song a five–year contract in the region of £80,000 per week.

I have also heard a rumor that celtic will also sign on loan are barca duo gonzalez and suarez. With a possible option to sign on a permenant basis like crosas. Strachen has also hinted as well as bent other major loans since it worked out as a good option last season with sameras. killen, mark brown, dontai, balde will all hopefully leave and then the new signings already done i.e. milan misun, naill mcginn and micheal lang will take their respective numbers.

Kevin Phillip's was laughing today at the suggestion of him leaving Birmingham to join Huddersfield Town. What did I say about this being the busiest January transfer window ever? World record signing of a ludicrous 108 mil will be spent by success hungry Man City for Brazilian superstar Kaka. The better San Siro outfit, Inter, will break the bank to land Carlos Tevez for a permenant 32 mil deal. This will mean Inter will no longer have the desire to chase Arshavin, and with City more interested in Kaka, Arshavin will complete a move to Arsenal within days, for a fee of 12 mil, with a possible 5 mil to be added depending on his performances at the Emirates. Arshavin will become Arsenal's second highest earner, earning around 70,000 a week, second only to highest earner Emmanuel Adebayor's 80,000 a week. Also on his way to the Emirates will be West Ham's ex–gunner Matthew Upson. West Ham want 12 mil for Upson, however they will accept Arsenal's bid of 9 mil + Nicklas Bendtner, as this will allow them to sell Bellamy to City. After City have completed the signing of Kaka, City will land Bellamy and Scott Parker of West Ham. They will then end January with the signing of Blackburn hitman Roque Santa Cruz for around 20 mil. I have some exciting news about LFC.
They are extremely close to securing a takeover of the club. It is reported (and Iv'e heard from associates who I trust)that a middle–eastern consortium (I guess we can all narrow down the region!!) are reportedly offering £400million for the club which Gillett and Hicks are being forced to take. The credit crisis in America has resulted in them being unable to find any investors to join them in running LFC.
This is why Rafa's contract talks are taking so long, they are not the first priority for the current owners now, whereas Rafa is keen to push a deal through before new owners arrive; hence the sticking point over "complete" control of the club from the bearded–one's point of view. Rafa wants to have everything he wants in place before the takeover, and to be in a strong position as it is thought the new owners wnat their own man at the helm.
The new owners are keen to go toe–to–toe with the Abu–Dhabis owners of man City but I don't think we'll be seeing and £108million bids for high profile players, but in the summer expect some major arrivals, both on the oitch and in the dug–out.
The takeover is nearly there, trust me, but it'll be too late for major transfers in this window. The owners want to do it quickly as the closer it gets to June, the less they get to pocket away. .
