Why do people keep insisting Owen is leaving for 5 million quid?
1. He signed a short term deal on a bosman so if he left he would want to go on a bosman.
2. Owen himself has said that he wants to stay, just see his comments after the Carling cup final. Something about how he enjoys training and playing with world class players, chance of regularly winning or challenging to win trophies and european football (bit of a dig at the Toon?) Plus his family is based in Cheshire and his stables are as well.
3. He would provide top class cover and more importantly has vital prem experience something that United are lacking as only Rooney and Berbatov have sufficient prem exp.
4. If any striker does leave this summer it would be the Berb, he'd raise 20 millionish, United won't want to take too much of a loss, and Bayern are supposed to be interested and if they have all the Ribery money to spend they may have to hand over a chunk. Although i think if anyone pays over 20 million for Ribery they've been conned.
Also to the West Ham fan who thinks their signing Curtis Davies 2 points.
1. He plays for Aston Villa not Bolton.
2. Villa paid 10 million, they aint gonna sell for 3 million. Yes he's had a couple of injuries but 3 million is way too cheap. O'Neill is under no pressure and has siad if anyone wants any of his players then they have to pay for them. Yes he specifically mentioned Milner, Agbonlahor and A Young but would apply to pretty much most of the squad.

Chris Hughton has been given around £20m to spend this summer, plus whatever he can make from selling players. He has been told that Mike Ashley is not keen on signing any player over the age of 26, and will catagorically not pay over £30,000 per week for any new signing.

Can I just say that there are some realy deludded fans on this site. Arsenal and Liverpool are the worst. Ido think there will be alot of transfers this year as not only in urope but the premier league has got realy competitive.
Liverpool though don't have any done deals as there club is up or sale so u don't no who is taking over or who the manager will be or how much the manager will get to spend.So realy no1 has no idea what is going to happen. But if a takeover is done before August who ever the manger is will want surely to stretghen the squad and will want to keep Gerrard Torres and Macherano.
Arsenal fans are making themselves look stupid on this. Not the fact that they are saying Wenger will spend loads of money which i think he will but its the players leaving u are making yourselves look bad. Not all but 1 Arsenal comment said Arshavin could be sold to Real Madrid for 30 million if he has a good world cup. He might go to Madrid but the world cup will have nothing to do with it cause Russia won't be playing in it!! Senderos is leaving on the free and he isn't worth 6 million anyway. Gallas won't sign a new contract because his calf problem refuses to go away and he is the highest earner at the club and Wenger is trying to educe the wage bill.If the Arsenal fans would listen to AW he has always Arsenal can afford a 30 million player but they will struggle meet his wage demands so you can forget Villa and Higuain. As usual not too many signings they will try and fail again to get Sergio Aguero.
Then they will try to get di maria however as he is a man utd fan he will go there instead.
There major signings instead will be bayern munichs bastian schweinsteiger.
Man Utd:
Akinfeev for free in jan/dec
di maria for £25million
and finally Benzema for £17million or swap with vidic.
Also the ones they have already signed smalling and hernandez

Hugo Lloris is pretty much a done deal for £15 million

Arsenal are in the mix for some new signings this summer a keeper, a solid young centre back, and another option in attack and in my opinion with so much european influence these signings should be british so here are my rumours keeper–joe hart centre back–micha richards and these are plausable as man city got toure and adebayor which (aside from tevez and given) has been a big help to them getting european football next season would be a fair trade off and as a attacking option i think milner and young from villa would help both club and players achieve great things

Fergie has realised he can't just reliy on rooney scholes giggs and valencia up front so he will spend big on silva/di maria gourcoff and milner and he may try for a striker if he can get a world class one for a good price, the most likely target will be a second tty on bemzema or suarez. Once the season is over expect a secret group from Dubai to buy the rest of the 50% stake at West Ham and will heavily invest money into the club and pay of the rest of the debt. They will also give the manager 40 million to spend in the summer. Gold and Sullivan will however still be in control and will make all of the main decisions. Gianfranco Zola will resign as manager of West Ham straight after the Man City game. Avram Grant is likely to be new manager but only if Portsmouth cannot find a buyer. If they do however Avram Grant will stay as he has some unfinished business. Gold and Sullivan will then look at Steve McClaren.

Liverpool fans need to stop putting ridiculous things on here such as there signing bale, villa, silva and milner, it is not going to happen. and martin o'neil will not go to liverpool for a fact he will stay on at villa for 1 more year and if he doesn't get fourth he will look to leave to either man utd or celtic.
Transfer rumours i have involving villa today are:
Stephen ireland – 14m, out of favour with city and reports suggest oneil is prepared to gamble on him, doubt this very much.
kevin kuranyi – free, scoring alot of goals in germany, could replace heskey or carew and a goalscorer. available on a free in the summer.
Both of these two players were talked about according to my cousin who plays for the academy and according to shane lowry a young player, players have been discussing a move for ireland and kuranyi so that's where the rumours came from + the papers and articles. Could be just rumours.

John carew to fulham – apparetly carew has brough a flat in london and fulham have been linked with a move but carew is known to be a big partier so this could just be the case.

Paul Ince to Peterborough is a done deal. Duncan Russell who worked as a fitness coach with Ince at Wolves, Macclesfield, MK Dons and Blackburn has confirmed this. Ince wanted funds at MK Dons but Winkelman refuused. Peterborough have funds and want a quick return to the Championship.

gareth bale – at spurs, hes a southerner, loves spurs, first choice left back, scoring, they are fourth, champions league next season, why would he swap sides, im sure hes the same gareth bale that dislikes everything to do with the north.

Is there any real liverpool transfer rumours especially on the proposed takeover ? personally would love to see juan manuel mata a very talented left winger , although the price may be an issue as he is very likely to shine at the world cup his price will rocket same for simon kjear another very talented young prospect who has already claimed his interest in joining liverpool. Its just a matter of whether we can find a buyer who would be able to provide us with the funds for the new stadium and also building the team to help us be a title challenging team again :)

There have been a lot of players linked with Arsenal recently, I would bet on two quality CB's with Senderos and Silvestre set to leave with the possibliity of Gallas as well. Sakho should almost certainly come in along with Maroune Chamakh who Wenger has already hinted will b announced after the french league ends. Sakho and Vermalen will cover the left–side of central defence while the right–footer is still up for discussion with Zapata/Subotic/Tasci/Cahill/Van Der Wiel all being linked.

Martin O'Neill has agreed with Martin Broughton to become Liverpool's new manager for the next 5 seasons. He has told Broughton that he wants to buy James Milner and bring him with him to Anfield, and maybe Ashley Young, if the budget permits, but the priority is Milner. I heard that he may be on the Anfield radar, but not Wales's. I guess that it comes with the territory of us being successful.
As for Avram Grant, well rather have Tony Pulis but he'd be a pretty good replacement.

Bayern Munich have an offer lined up to get Berbatov out of United in the summer. No word on the price but I'm expecting no more than £10m as he has been a huge flop.
Cristiano Ronaldo believes Wayne Rooney will stay at Old Trafford next season. He has been quoted by news of the world as saying "I don't think Rooney will ever join me at Real Madrid."
Rumours recently have suggested that Real Madrid will offer £90m for Rooney and use Ronaldo as bait to try to lure him over to Madrid. Real Madrid are also going to try and get Fabio Capello as their new manager in the summer. Rumours flying around are that Pellegrini will be out as Madrid spent alot of money but still haven't got no where so far. Crashing out the champions league before the quater finals and losing the derby against Barcelona last weekend.
United apparently are desperate to get Rooney a new contract sorted before the world cup starts. The new contract will see Rooney at Old Trafford to atleast summer 2015 and he will be on £150,000 a week plus bonuses for individual trophies he wins at the end of each season like the PFA player of the year, Goal of the season etc..

Avram Grant will become the new Stoke boss, with Alan Curbishley taking over at Pompey.
What a load of crap this is Tony is here for a few more years he has a plan and with the Coates is behind him and is investing in the team.

I read on the sky sports transfers speculation site that berbatov has asked fergie to retain him and leave him for another season to prove himself. berbatov has always been a united fan and won't want to leave i assume. also fergie thinks he just had a bad season this year and will not sell him for half of what he baught him for.

sagna's market value is something around 25mil. i would be suprised if somebody got him for 15mil that would be bargain of the season.
diaby will not be sold he may be used as a pawn in an exchange deal but wenger still has faith in him to start him in the first team.
eduardo signed a new contract this season so i doubt he will be sold. probably loaned or again used as a pawn deal.
arshavin was baught for 16mil or something. he has only imrpoved dramatically since then. i remember inter where willing to bid 25mil for him in january but wenger refused to the striker crysis at arsenal.
