The rumours circulating around OT at the moment are that Fergie is lining up a bid for Luca toni of fiorentina as he was seen with his girlfriend at Carrington ( training ground ), the figure likely to be around 10 million and maybe Patrice evra. If he fails with this he will then turn to Trezeguet although Juve say they wont sell, a bid in the region of 10 million might change there minds, he needs a top class goalscorer and he will not pay in excess of 20 million, so forget torres and adriano. Also for the mug that said Aimar is going to Liverpool, he joined Real Zaragoza a week ago 4 8 million euros!

What exactly is the definition of "Tapping up"? For example, if Bayern Munich say they are not listening to any offers for Owen Hargreaves and that he "has recently signed a three-year contract extension and will be fulfilling that deal", but then the player says "The offer from Man Utd. is fantastic. .you never know if such an opportunity will arise again", does this not mean one of two things: (1) Bayern Munich are telling white lies and are actually talking to Man Utd after all (2) Man Utd have made an illegal approach to the player and made him an "offer" without getting the permission of the club? Is this not tapping up?

To the guy who said we will sign AImar. You are wrong. Aimar has only just signed for Real Zaragoza. Rafa will make 2 maybe 3 more signings before the window closes. These are:-
1. Kuyt (£9m)- Now said LIVE after ROI V Holland that LFC is his dream club. Only NUFC fans will say he still wants to join them.
2. Alves (£8m)- Sevilla have finally accepted that Alves is unhappy and wants to play on Merseyside for us. Real Madrid are after him but he wants to play for us.
3. Saviola (£LOAN or £2m)- Not sure wether he will be loaned in or bought but he will be a LFCplayer by August 31st. Wants a chance to rebuild his career and England is his prefered destinaton. However we will have to beat off competition from Spurs, Bolton and Arsenal.

Apparently the deal has been agreed in principle with Sevilla.

I have some very interesting news concerning Liverpool and Manchester United.

Manchester United on the other hand will have to pay a massive 14 million pound for the signing of Owen Hargreeves. Ronaldo will not leave Old Trafford this summer possably next if he is still getting abuse.

My brother works for an (unnamed) football agency. Apparently West Ham are trying to tie up Filipo Inzaghi on a 1 year loan deal to cover Ashton and give us more options for Europe and the Prem. He's apparently keen as he's out of favour at the moment, he's already met with Paul Aldridge in Milan. Wages could be a problem, West Ham and Milan are trying to come to an agreement on this. If all goes well he could be available for the mid-week game at Watford.

To those of you who believe the fact that United loaned Kuszcak instead of buying him proves that they have no funds available.
The signing was on loan because WBA want Kuszcak available to them if they are promoted back to the Premiership next season. United were happy with this because of the progress of Foster. The deal includes a buy-out price if WBA are not promoted at the end of the season; a considerably higher price applies if they are promoted.

Some of the Arsenal rumours are still getting pretty crazy on here, I advised a few weeks ago about the whole Cole situation the deal will happen but expect Real Madrid to make an offer, they are now stalling because of Cole this is why the saga is carrying on for so long. Arsenal are primed on getting rid of Ashley Cole as we all know but deal date has run it's cause & people are getting very frustrated from Arsenal/Chelsea & Real Madrid.
Reyes again yeah we all know he wats to leave nothing ground breaking there expect a fee of around 10-12 million with no players coming our way, I would personally like Wenger to snatch Baptisita but Real won't let him go.
This Abidal talk is awful & he's awful he won't be coming to Arsenal so scrap that expect a renewed bid for Curtis Davis when the funds come in Wenger sees him as the man for the CB position & will get his man for around 10.5 million even though he's signed a new contract (& yes people he can leave if he wants look at Damien Duff for a perfect example of signing an extension then leaving). We won't buy any midfielders until Reyes leaves, if so WEnger could try for Baptista and make do with Ljumberg, Rosicky, Hleb and Walcott. I work in a hotel in glasgow. Celtic are one of our customers and they book rooms for business associates and players who are having talks. On sunday we got a call, booking one room for monday and two for tuesday. I was lucky enough to be working both days. The player staying on monday was Thomas Graveson but I overheard him saying he was going to england for talks with aston villa. On Tuesday morning we had Liverpool's Florent Sinama Pongolle and he looked very positive. I asked him did he have talks with celtic but he ignored me like a ignorant. . . The third player walked past me twice before my mate told me it was Ukrainian Anatoli Tymoschuk. I'm not saying these players will sign, just that they have had talks.

Also Dirk kuyt is in liverpool for a medical today (17th August) after liverpool and feyernord (sorry for the spelling) agreed a fee for 9m early this morning, kuyt also officialy stated liverpool is his dream move (as seen in the interview after the Ireland vs Holland match), so expect kuyt to sign either on the 17th or 18th. Kuyt and steilos could be the last summer signings for liverpool as we are already the best team in prem.

Man united fans please pay attention. Just because you say "dont say we dont have this money because we do" dosnt mean you are right. Look at the facts. Your club owe over 500 million so I doubt they can spend 30 million on adriano, 20 on tevez and 15 on hargreeves in one summer. The Glazers have no faith in alex ferguson and he is lucky to have lasted this long. If theres another early european exit or slow start in the league, both he and Queroz will be shown the door. Marcello Lippi and Mark Hughes are the glazers favourites and could even be joint managers. David Trezuguet might come in, as will senna, no world class players. And as for winning the treble, You's should be happy with another league cup.

Man Utd WILL sign Hargreaves for 13.5million pounds. This deal will go through because of the players ambition to join the devils. Along with the signing of Carrick who will unfortunately miss the first couple of weeks of the season, the return to fitness of Paul Scholes, and Uniteds part time midfielders ( Smith, O'Shea and Giggs) that should settle the midfield problems for this transfer window at least. United will try again for Fernando Torres with a bid of around 27million pounds however if this is rejected United will either wait till Jan to try again or divert there attenetions to Tevez and Adriano.
New Aston Villa manager Martin O'Neill will not make any signings in the near future as there is nobody to produce the funds. Doug Ellis isn't going to give him millions of pounds if he's about to retire, but American tycoon Randy Lerner hasn't yet completed his takeover and is therefore unable to give money to the club. Lerner should, however, have control of the club by the middle of next week and it's thought that O'Neill has several transfer targets in mind. Stilian Petrov and Neil Lennon have been mentioned about joining their old boss in the Midlands, but that seems unlikely as Gordon Strachan is reluctant to lose two of his championship winning midfielders. Chelsea defender Robert Huth will almost certainly clinch a season long loan to Villa Park, but other than that it seems as though O'Neill is keeping his cards close to his chest.

To the people who claim that Kalou has an E.U work permit, i think you all need to get your facts straight! Kalou was in holland 4 years, it takes 5 years before he would be eligible for an E.U passport. He never got one!! And he was not eligible for an automatic work permit in England because he never played for an International side. So the only explanation is that he was judged to be an exceptional talent and allowed to join Chelsea on those grounds. Now how the heck other players like Mark Gonzalez and Yakubu got denied work permits first time round baffles me if its supposed to be about "EXCEPTIONAL TALENT". Sounds like Chelsea are behaving badly, pity no one in the media bothers to bring this up. By the way, Martins is really 21, its all a big mix up on the Nigerian F.A website, look it up on the net
To J.K. Your right, that villa rumour was a load of rubbish, but cant be as bad as the united fans saying your going to sign hargreaves, diarra and adriano for £55m combined. Villa will only bring in 2 signings, both AFTER the reading game. The first will be Malbranque for £3.5m and the second is Saviola for £5m. Malbranque will be on £55,000 a week, and Saviola £80,000

Contrary to Tony Mowbery's denial that Scott Brown would be going to Hibernians greatest rivals Hearts, this may very well happen.
Whilst Hearts are red hot favourites to sign him, Martin O'neill has now taken an interest in bringing the player to Aston Villa . .
Here's what to expect at LFC. Now we have Kuijt, Bellamy we have sorted up front; with Aurelio and Palletta we have cover at the back; with Gonzalez and Pennant we have width and pace. But there is more: Rafa wants right-side cover for Finnan/Pennant. So he'll offload Sinama, Le Tallec, Diao, Warnock (loan), and then he'll try and see if he can prise either Alves (10m) or a loan right-back like Belletti. Later in the season, he will replace Zenden (expect Barton) and Fowler (expect Huntelaar). Watch and believe!

Celtic Will Sign Tomas Graveson in the next 24 hours for a 1.75 Million price from Real Madrid. The Will also keep Petrov as they are not willing to be messed about by O'Neills last minute Transfers. Celtic recent good figures will also mean that they will be able to recruit Cristian Vieri oan a two year pay as you play deal and Wolves Left Back Lee Naylor for a fee ov around 750 thousand pounds. These transfers will put Celtic in good stead for the Champions League and if they get a half decent draw they will be able to qualify for the laters stages and go further than Ramngers did lst season
Valencia CF appear to be in the driver seat in a bid for Joaquin (who unlike Simao is more concerned with his play than his money) and are waiting for Real Betis to communicate after the 15-million + Mario Reguiero bid. Meanwhile, Ayala is still pushing to be transferred to Villarreal, and Marcos Senna could be headed to Valencia in the deal. Finally, Deportivo La Coruna are mulling over the VCF bid for Jorge Andrade as this might be the year to cash in.
