Southampton FC have a strict no comment policy on all transfer matters which includes staff confidentiality agreements. To date no leaks from St Mary's.
Alan Pardew has stated more or less that he will wait until the very end of the window before signing his targets at a fair price.
He has also said several times Lambert and Lallana are going no where and that only top 5 teams could afford them. You'd be thinking 4m for Lallana or 6–8m for Lambert to move either of them and that's very unlikely.
Any rumours to the contrary should have a source please.

The Keith Harris interview gave nothing away at all – and why should it. To the best of my understanding there are proposals on the table but not bids capable of acceptance. If anyone is going to drag the whole stadium issue in to this, then the situation will not change in the short term.
Much of the recent press coverage is a result of the terms proposal and bid being used as being synonymous – they are not of course.

I can't reveal my name but I work inside Old Trafford close to David Gill. I can officially confirm that Rafael Van Der Vaart is in talks to sign a four year contract with Man Utd. Fergie said today there would be no more signings, this is because there is another big premiership club circling Van Der Vaart as well.

As a celtic fan, I don't know if it is any use to rangers supporters, as I was drivin past murray park, there was a brand spankin new silver convertable audi (think it was an a4), stoped at the gate signing autographs for fans who were gathered. West Ham have decided to make the loan deal for Felipe Caicedo a permanent one, after discovering the rules about the number of loanees allowed. The fee is around £3m. This would then allow West Ham to sign Roque Santa Cruz on loan for the season, but it is yet to be known whether a clause to give the Hammers first refusal on his signing will be enclosed.
Despite already ruling out a deal for Scott Parker to Tottenham, David Sullivan is looking to sell Valon Behrami and Matthew Upson in return for Robbie Keane, Jamie O'Hara and Giovani Dos Santos + £4m. This deal will not go through until the last week of the transfer window, but the clubs are expected to be meeting in the middle of next week to work out a deal, which will be useful for both parties.

A friend of mine is an apprentice at Leeds. I'd texted him earlier asking for any transfer gossip and he said there was none. Just had another reply now saying that there is news – Leeds have made 2 signings today but this won't be announced before the game tomorrow.
Grayson did this with Vokes and Gradel last year (players going straight into squad with no announcement) – the reason it can be kept secret is that both players are currently free agents so there's no parent clubs to release press statements.

Out of the 3 touted Man Utd targets of Meireles, Ganso and VDV.
I would personally like to see VDV don the shirt.
Meireles isn't much of a scorer and is the older of the 3
Ganso is yet another "Future Star" which if i'm honest i think we have enough of already.
We need a player that still has legs with a good few years in them and will add more than just assists and few good passes.
VDV ticks all the boxes – he will provide a scholesque goal threat aswell as the usual attacking mid tasks. Added bonus is that he wants to play for us and could be had for around £10 mil wich is a fair price.
Ed whats your take on the above players and which would you say is best for the job?

To anyone who is saying David Beckham to Blackburn. .well I say not gonna happen. My personal opinion is David will not return to play in England for any other team but Manchester United. Also part of his contract when he joined MLS a big chunk of that money was for further sponsorship from adidas. Why are people persisting with this Peter Whittingham and Darren Pratley nonsense. These rumours have been doing the round for months and so far nothing has happened. So this would indicate they are not going to happen.
