Theres a rumour floating round amongst the close friends and family of SYLVIAN DISTIN he may well be signing for LIVERPOOL FC next season. Although we would hate to lose him you could not begrudge him the chance to play in the champions league (possibly for the holders.) Though the fact that he will walk away a free man is a little dissapointing as they will be getting a player of genuine quality for free. Good luck anyway, apart from at the eastlands.

ARSENAL RUMOURS

Wenger has said that a maximum of 3 players will leave this summer. The possibilities are Lehmann, Flamini, Baptista.

Lehmann will sign a 1 year extension

Flamini will be sold to Italy for around £5m

Baptista will return to Madrid

Reyes will return to Arsenal but with Arsenal looking to sell to the highest bidder, looking to receive £8m

Ins will be limited to a maximum of 3 players as Wenger wants to keep stability in the squad and has faith in the young players. In will be Ribery for £13m, he's very good friends with Henry and wants to play under Wenger.

The other signing will be Ryan Babel for £6m, a typical Wenger signing, very quick and can play wide or as a striker. (like Henry, Van Persie, Reyes)

Wenger will also look for a GK to be Lehmann's replacement

Bendtner will return from loan, Muamba will stay 1 more year at Birmingham provided they get promoted.

"Bookies William Hill have closed the betting on Thierry Henry joining Liverpool in the summer, it is also thought this was one of the reasons why David Dein left as the board are prepared to cash in on him, one other major signing expected by Liverpool"

Hooray, someone with a decent bit of insider knowledge. It was all over the rumours papers and sites in January that Henry had been seen in and around LFC, in restaurants with Rafa, Parry and Moores. There's no way he's been injured for that long for The Arsenal in the New year, and there's more behind the story.

Henry to LFC in the Summer, especially with the new owners

Chelsea will sign Moutinho in the summer to play in the place of Frank Lampard who could be off to Italy. Shaun Wright Phillips will become a regular starter for Chelsea next season after hitting some good form. Miguel will come in from Valencia unless Mourinho signs Richards and a central defender will sign. Allesandro Nesta, Jorge Andrade and Christoph Metzelder are the main targets, but Nesta is preferred.

Shevchenko will be off no-where but expect young Israel striker Ben Sahar will come into contention when Drogba and Kalou go to the African Cup of Nations.1 more striker will come in with Defoe and even 33 year old Pauleta on the shortlist.

Man City have beaten Celtic to the signiture of Burnley Striker Karl Lafferty. City have agreed a £2million pound fee with the Clarets for the Northern Ireland International

Lucas Neil has no desire to stay at West Ham when they go down. His relegation release cause will leave him open to move to Newcastle, Middlesborough or Everton. Look to see him link up with some of his international teammates, but not Kewell if he stays at Liverpool. He wants to finish his career in the Austrlaian A-League but not for a few years yet.

Leicester city to get Murphy of Spurs. Looking to get some young loanees of Arsenal, want to convince Wenger they will challenge so it will be valuable experience for the guys they wants, namely DENILSON, MERIDA, TRAORE, and ahem, WALCOTT! Some attacking football. We shall wait and see! Also heard that Smith of United is wanted by the toffee's and NOT Nugent. Reo-Coker, Niell, Upson and Gabbidon will be looked at if available at the right price. Spurs want Arteta but theyr dreamin. Loking at sum kid in Holland called Guzman. Duno who he plays for. Newcastle are going for Anton F even if the Hammers stay up, nt sure if its wise tho! A surprise move will be made by GR for BRIAN MCBRIDE to allow Antoine to play more a MF role n to replace Ameobi if required. Villa are looking at the CCC for transfer targets and don't seem to be having much luck. You may well see GILES BARNES in a shock move to the eastlands with Johnson going t'other way! Distin is set for Liverpool. Tevez will stay with the Hammers if they stay up and Ashton will too. However many will leave. Viduka is a wanted man at none other than MAN UTD Not because he put one past em just now either! Berbatov is a surprise target for Athletico, leading to Torres rumours to United in Spain. Finally Momo will leave for Barca, with a briefcase with £5m in it. Eto'o shall then be released for LFC! Pool will prob be looking for a MF in a similar mould, though Gerrard has finally convinced Rafa to unleash XABI! So Masch n another guy can do the holding work! Momo will go but I'm sure Rafa has guys in mind for the replacement, I thnk Duran is a few years off for now, so sum1 may be bought in but Rafa rates Duarn so the holdin player may be old to cover for now n as a mentor. Of the bolo mould. Zenden WILL leave. but not to Holland, to SUNDERLAND!

Expect gr to sign big this summer. wanted are Gallas (if Wenger leaves) Woodgate, C. Davies, Ben Haim. Barry, Sidwell, Sissoko, R. Keane, Viduka and Ashton. Outgoing are Harper, Carr, Bramble, Bab, Luque, Moore, Ramage and Ameobi.

Schweinsteiger to Real Madrid and Tevez to AS Roma and David Villa to Stay at least for another season before coming to ANfield or Stamford Bridge. Cristiano Ronaldo won't be leaving till at least 2009. With Man United and Barcelona watching DE ROssi Liverpool will make a bid for Equally good Roma Midfielder Alberto Aquilani. Arsenal will only "sign" Jose Reyes as he will be returning to the EMIRATES

I have uncovered a gem of a rumour going on, however you want to look at it. I'll start with Fergie who wants Bale and Micah. We knew this anyway. I don't know the situation with Bale. Anyway, Fergie is DESPERATE to get Micah as he is seen as a quality player, but the blues are more desperate to keep him from going there, and micah is not particularly keen to go there. Distin is leaving for (probably) LIVERPOOL in the summer to get some cl footy. However, losing him will only strengthen city's resolve to keep Micah. Liverpool are very cleverly going to allow SAMI to go to city, in return for a first option on Micah, matching what is thought to be the likely figure UTD will offer! And when Mr. Reliable retires. Hey presto, a ready-made, regularly playing, quality full-back. Distin is therefore likely to go LIVERPOOL. To replace SAMI. A little gem of a merry-go-round for you all. Aren't I great? ;-p

Burnley defender John McGreal will join Blackpool as player coach at the end of the season.

McGreal fell out with Burnley manager Steve Cotteril after refusing to play in the game against Preston

All this talk about Eto'o, Henry, Raul, Villa, etc. joining Liverpool is a smokescreen for Liverpool's big summer signing. Adriano from Inter will be heading to Anfield this summer for an undiscolsed fee and will be the powerhouse forward that Rafa has been wanting since his arrival at the club. Bellamy may be offloaded, but that will depend on the offers which are recevied. Rafa loves competition for positions and he does not mind having 4-5 strikers to fight out to lead the attack. Fowler is to go to the states or Australia when his contract expires

Transfers summer:

Alves Liverpool

Eto'o Liverpool

Tevez Liverpool

Simao Liverpool

Hargreaves Man Utd

G. Milito Man Utd

Bale Man Utd

Ribery Arsenal

Dos Santos Arsenal

100% True

The Batistuta to Preston rumour is completely true and is set to sign this week! I have been speaking to a friend who has seen him at Deepdale twice in the last two weeks.

Cahill will be going to United but it will be for £8m. Arteta will be going for £7m to Valencia. Out of this money Everton have already nearly negotiated deals for Reo-Coker, Etherington Barton and Nugent. They have also made timid enquires about a left back and a midfielder but I have not heard who the names are yet.

Everton Ins and Outs

- RUMOURS FROM PORTUGAL -

- NANI&MOUTINHO: sorry to disappoint so many people, but Sporting Lisbon wonderkids Nani and Moutinho aren't going anywhere. Moutinho has just signed a new 5yr contract, and Nani is in advanced talks to do the same in the next two weeks. Sporting Lisbon's intention is not to repeat past mistakes, by letting young stars go abroad too soon (i. e. Quaresma, Viana, etc. ) and to keep them in the club at least until they're 23, when they can command bigger fees.

Expect Nani and Moutinho to go to a big club (probably Man Utd), but not until 2009.

- SIMAO: Benfica's chairman has publicly vowed to do anything in his power to convince Simao to stay but admitted the existence of a Clause that could be triggered with a 20 million euros offer (around £13 million) . Simao has also said publicly he is not interested in a move back to Spain, due to his bad experience in Barcelona when he was younger, but an offer from Liverpool or Chelsea would probably tempt him to leave.

- R. QUARESMA: the star performer in the league for the past two seasons also had a torrid time in Barcelona as a youngster, but is a far more mature player now, and is the most likely to go abroad immediately. Although he is not as strong as Ronaldo, nor as good in the air, many people see him as arguably even more skilled, and the Premiership could be ideal for him to explode. I don't know much about potential interest from Italian or Spanish clubs, but one portuguese rumours paper recently claimed that Tottenham could table a 22 million euro bid in the summer. Expect Chelsea to scupper that deal if Mourinho stays.
