Wigan striker Kone is wanted by both Norwich and Sunderland for a fee of 7 million. Kone is expected to stay however, Whelan may accept the bid if he feels its enough for his star striker

7m for a 30 y/o?
whereas RVW (who has just been called up for the dutch national team) cost 8.5m

if norwich payed 7m for kone I would be highly disappointed, better out there for cheaper.

It has been widely reported Kone has a 6.5 million release clause. So no one will bid higher and Whelan has not choice about whether to accept.

That is all.

I think Sunderland will find it very difficult ro recruit any players whilst DeCanio is manager there. Who would willingly want to play for him?

23 May 2013 12:37:16
Any professional footballer who is willing to play football as apposed to lying in the middle of casinos making a fool out of himself. DiCanio has done nothing wrong. Players didn't turn up to a signing, therefore breached their contract and as a result are being punished. The same would happen in any job, they just happen to be in the public eye.

Kone is so overated, I would not like to see him wearing yellow - ever!

People who want to play football and not just be playboys.

granted that limit's the options.

Is a 30 year old worth 7m? with a tally of as little as 11 goals this season.
Don't think so. Would be a bad signing for Norwich.

Is a 30 year old worth 7m? with a tally of as little as 11 goals this season.
Don't think so. Would be a bad signing for Norwich.

£7 million is too expensive for a 30 year old even though he is a decent player. We could get better value for money elsewhere (i. e. Bacca etc. )

If they will only sell if a club offers the release clause, then they will not sell.

wigan are not loaded. expect to see them do a wolves next season.

Kone, rvw, holt upfront scoring goals? Yes please please be true!

Why would Wigan do a Wolves, they had plenty money from sales of Jarvis & Fletcher but spent it on a new stand instead of sorting their team out!

Wigan are ran properly & will be one of the financially better off teams in that division, any money from player sales will be reinvested into the team!

Wigan do a Wolves?. Wigan have a reasonable level of quality, you don't become FA Cup Champions without it.

Bit over priced but you say 11 goals is bad all season holt got less and he's still here holts old, if rather kone then holt, I'd rather see hooper or a young player like rvw that's what we need

Great striker. Hope he stays at Wigan and helps us get back to the premier League.

A host of Championship clubs are lining up for a move for Simeon Jackson. The clubs most interested at the moment are Ipswich Town, Nottingham Forest and Leeds United.

Huddersfield as well

Hate to say it being an Ipswich fan, but we could do a lot worse than signing Jackson on a free. I know he's played for the Canaries but for the sake of progressing as a football club we need to start considering players of his quality.

Add Middlesbrough to that List aswel we have been heavily linked over the last week

Middlesborough are linked with everyone. Diluded much!

Forget Forest as they never act quickly enough and often miss out on players who are also linked to other clubs.

22 May 2013 22:16:21
Leeds are keeping tabs on former west brom utility man gonzalo zara reyes following his release by the baggies

He be signing for forest

22 May 2013 21:51:39
Been hearin jimmy abdou could be off to ipswich. Just got to sort out the fee

Whos he. any good!?

Heard he's not so great

22 May 2013 21:51:17
Hull manager Steve Bruce wants to sign Kieran Tripper from Burnley. He is also interested in Matthew Kilgallon, Mark Schwarzer, Phil Bardsley, Shaun Maloney and signing Fabio on loan from Manchester United.

Harry Redknapp wants to make Harry Arter his first signing of the season. He also wants Carlton Cole, Nick Powell on loan, Jermaine Jenas on a permanent deal and is interested in taking Tom Carroll on loan. He will lose out in the race to sign Andros Townsend because he will be in the Premier League with either Spurs or out on loan.

Just say whome bruce isn't signing, it will be a lot easyer. utc

As a Hull City fan I would only be interested in Maloney. No disrespect to the others, but Hull already have better players at the club or will sign better players in the transfer window.

22 May 2013 21:06:22
Bradford striker Alan Connell could be a possible signing, wouldn't be surprised if we raided Cardiff youth again and aldershot. Troy brown seems a solid centre back

Is this afc wimbledon?

22 May 2013 20:47:02
Aden Flint, Jean-Yves M'voto, Gary Woods, Scott Flinders and Marlon Pack are all set to sign deals with Bristol City in the next week.

M'voto's staying at Oldham

Can only see 2 of them happening. You seem to be wanting Flint and Flinders has been spoken about for weeks, its down to him now! If you get Flint you won't get M'voto as well as you have fontaine carey nyatanga and james wilson already! Gary woods isn't what you need, he'd be wasted and I know Marlon Pack personally and he hasn't mentioned Bristol City at all i'm afraid

You have just named nearly evry player we have been linked with in the last couple of weeks -are you sure you don't want to add Gillett as well. Good chance you'll get lucky on someone.

You will only get Flint if you up the bid, your latest was 300k we want 5ook, but the deal will be done around 400k

22 May 2013 21:16:42
Leeds united to sign Carlton cole but if also heard that hull are interested.

Oh please.

"oh please"? his contract is running out in the summer. I d ont know about hull, think he could do better, but he is now firmly being linked to Leeds (BmcD tried to sign hum at Reading) and QPR

22 May 2013 20:50:42

Celtic player Paddy McCourt has agreed a deal to sign for MLS club New York Red Bulls

22 May 2013 20:43:42
Looks like Forest striker Matt Derbyshire set for Doncaster.

Hope so, would love to see him and the other dead wood gone.

23 May 2013 07:54:08
Good steady player, would be a good sighning for rovers

Pladed for Blackpool on loan.

I seriously doubt he had 1 shot on goal in any of the games he played for the whole loan period.

Derbyshire is not going to get 15+ goals to keep Donny in the Championship next season unless he drops down to League 1

I'd much rather you keep your dead wood thanks

22 May 2013 20:36:59
Tony Mowbray keen on Aston Villa midfielder Chris Herd and Reading's Jay Tabb.

This is 100% true so don't understand why clueless people are clicking unbelievable look at the papers

Paterson to Coventry. You are having a laugh!!

22 May 2013 21:33:54
Is this just the west mids, I always thought the midlands involved all of it not just the brummies!

No way Norwich will buy two central defs. We have three quality CB's in Turner, Bassong & Bennett. All three are better than Ridgewell & C. Davies.

Grigg's not going anywhere

Ridgewells a left back.
And west brom will bring in more players than that!

Weimann has announced he's in contract talks with Villa & wants to stay if possible.

Weather we go up or stay down. Deeney is not leaving. Just signed a new contract and is an important building block.

Watford do not need the money like they used to.

Norwich in the market for French under 212 international Mangala of Porto - seen as the perfect player to combine with Bennett in the future - Centre back and can cover left back position too

Troy deeney will not leave watford

How can someone know so much about so many different clubs. Pure fantasy imo

O'Hara was sold by Harry Redknapp while he was at Spurs, why would he take him back? QPR's squad is bursting with championship quality players.

As a norwich fan I would take ridgewell all day. Competition at left back ANC can cover at centre half

Deeney wouldn't go there mate, he's a birmingham fan and is happy at watford, just signed new contract

Wolves are in talks with Swindon to sign James collins, Swindons top scorer

If Deeney goes I'd expect Watford to get someone in on loan! lol

Ridgewell is a left back and is much better quality than anything at Norwich.

Lol at Paterson going to Coventry that will never happen. Grigg to derby could happen but he's still needs to prove himself at league one level for another season. Also brandy since he's only played for half a season

No folks, looks as though pattersons going to Huuds How good is he?

King would not be welcome back at Wigan bearing in mind that Whelan sacked him and effectively told him to never darken his doorstep again

Deeney tweeted not to long ago saying he wouldn't play for villa

massive birmingham fan and just signed a new contract with watford

Ridgewell is awful. No point as we have just signed Garrido after his loan spell and he is miles better than Ridgewell

Huddersfield are after paterson he could go to cov as he is a cov fan and from there

Ridgewell is better than any defender norwich have

22 May 2013 20:23:36
Hi ed is their any Brighton & HA rumours {Ed026's Note - Not just yet.

22 May 2013 20:24:03
Bradford have been contacted by plymouth over the availability of Alan Connells services.

Think he may suit l1 but I've heard this from someone close to the club - never gets the games time but can play- rubbish in training apparently

Would rather have rene howe

This wouldn't suprise me, played at Swindon which isn't too far from Plymouth. Very good player at this level, would be a great signing! COYG

22 May 2013 20:23:21
nicky clark is expected to sign for carlisle at the end of next week. {Ed026's Note - Do they need a hair stylist that much?

I thought that he was signing for Rangers?

No, he is going to Rangers, unfortunately.

I wish

22 May 2013 20:23:00
di santo to Swansea (reliable source)!

No chance. He can't score at Wigan, so why would the Swans buy him. He is no better than what Swansea have already. Swans need a goal scorer and Di Santo is not that striker they need.

22 May 2013 20:19:40
Swansea are hoping to lure Wigan striker Franco di Santo to the Liberty Stadium on a free transfer after the striker revealed he would not be signing a new deal to keep him at Wigan as they drop down to the Championship. Laudrup wants options for his current weak strike force, excluding Michu, and he see's Franco as the perfect player to rotate between the Premier League and Europa League.

Yeah. we arent

22 May 2013 20:17:32
Stoke are set to offer Rafa Benitez a £ 3million-a-year contract to tempt him to Stoke. They are also offering Free Reigns and a large transfer budget to overhaul the squad and implement his changes

If not Stoke will move their attentions to Roberto Martinez

Everton are Set to offer Porto Manager Vitor Pereira a 2 year Contract to become New Manager

This will be all announced tomorrow

22 May 2013 20:14:11
Jonas Olsson loves it at West Brom but DEFINETLY leave in this window. Olsson wants to move to London to be closer to his wife and kids. I have it on good authority that he will join either West Ham or Palace if they are promoted. Also the bloke who keeps mentioning Sebastian Coates is bang on. A deal with Liverpool has been met and he will be the baggiea second summer signing after Chris Baird.

Are you having a joke?! Olsson wouldn't go to Palace, and West Ham wouldn't be able to afford him

This is all fiction. Olsson's family live in Sutton Coalfield, not anywhere near London. Coates is not moving to West Brom. And we have been linked with Baird in every transfer window since I can remember and nothings ever happened.

Olsson wife works and lives in London. She returns from London on a weekend.

22 May 2013 20:13:29
Rafa Benitez to be appointed Stoke City manager tomorrow {Ed026's Note - Rafa has options now after his stint at Chelsea, i'm sure Malaga, Napoli and PSG are all looking for new managers; who knows he could be the next Real manager?

Benitez with a large budget should frighten Stoke supporters to death

No manager will be appointed in the next few days Coates has said that he is taking time to consider options

22 May 2013 20:05:42
Hi ed- have you heard any notts county rumours? {Ed026's Note - None yet sorry.

22 May 2013 20:02:04
Aston Villa centre-back Richard Dunne, 33, is set to be released on a free transfer by manager Paul Lambert. It is believed newly promoted Hull City have offered him a 35,000 a week 1 year deal with a further 1 year extension if they stay in the Premier League.

Do they really need him

22 May 2013 21:16:44
Another past it overpaid donkey that all you Premier League 'footy' fans keep trying to palm off on little old Hull. Just waiting for the Andy Johnson, Shola Ameobi and Shay Given rumours

23 May 2013 03:06:34
Overpaid donkey? Bit harsh considering he's got more international caps than the whole of the hull squad and Steve Bruce

Not being funny but i'd take Dunne at City! good defender!

Dunne would be a good freebie. As would Figueroa. One year deals for either of those 2 would be a great bit of business.
I'd be worried about any "survival clauses" as if we stay up next term we'll need to push on with permenant solutions rather than stop gaps like a (by then) 34 year old Dunne.

Hull to offer 35K? Doubt they would offer over 30K but not to Dunne. Just because he has more caps than existing Hull city players does not mean he is a good player. Using that logic the best players in the world would be from San Marino etc.

I agree with the logic comment, that would mean the best player ever by a country mile was Krisyten Lilley of the USA who has over 250 caps. USA men and women's teams also have the most capped players who have 100 caps or more. Not sure about the women's team but the men's team has not come close to winning the world cup!

22 May 2013 19:30:10
Higdon will not sign for dons mate. He would be a great signing for us but he will only leave Motherwell if Stuart mccall leaves. Flood near done deal

22 May 2013 19:53:34
Zak ansah and jay emanuel thomas will follow jordan wynter to bristol city from arsenal and free agent respectively

I would LOVE JET down at the gate. worked under O'Driscoll before when he absolutely tore us apart with Doncaster 5-2 a few years back! Would be that unpredictable strong quick tricky left winger we've been after since McIndoe!

No we don't want JET -he is one of the most inconsitent players around. Trust me his not rated by Ipswich fans -1 good game in 10!

22 May 2013 19:46:06
Conor Hourihane is going where? No where, he has signed a two year contract with Argyle! Fantastic news.

22 May 2013 19:37:46
Nicky Clark (QoS) and Jon Daly (Dundee Utd) to be confirmed at Rangers early next week.

The deal for Nicky Law (Motherwell) is now dependant on the future of Motherwell boss Stuart McCall.

Rangers also made contact with Martin Paterson (Burnley) but he's looking to stay in the Championship.

Clarke and laws are both going to the blades

23 May 2013 08:56:25
Law is likely to go to Sheffield United if Stuart McCall does but Nicky Clark is all but a Rangers player

Law was revealed as a rangers player today along with jon daly

22 May 2013 19:35:51
No way Aberdeen have offered goodwillie loan deal. That's rubbish

22 May 2013 19:32:55
James Vaughan is currently in talks with Huddersfield after a short break away and looks like his first choice club is Huddersfield. Simeon Jackson is also an option for Huddersfield who could possibly link up with old teammate Vaughan. The duo could make quite a partnership next season for the terriers!

Although I want this to be true, he's still on holiday in the US until next week

Vaughan has just left (or is just leaving) for his holiday in America.
Nothing will happen until he returns.

Sounds like he has listen to a few clubs offers, or his agent has and he will make his mind up when he gets back.
Marrying a Liverpool lass, so I heard he want's to stay there and travel to train.
Also heard though she'll go to London for a few years if she has to.

22 May 2013 19:32:38
Johnny Hayes isn't leaving Aberdeen. Clark will be though as to injury prone.

22 May 2013 19:31:14
Bristol city have made a 4th bid for Flint in the region of 400k

22 May 2013 19:23:44
Jeff Hughes signed for Fleetwood from notts county on a bosman free transfer source tv radio Nottingham

FLEETWOOD TOWN? He could get into a lower championship club, or any club in league 1.

Ok, I've now found out he has gone and can only think money is the only reason. Still though, FLEETWOOD? {Ed003's Note - An ambitious club}

23 May 2013 07:57:49
Wouldnt have got first team football at Notts. He was poor at best last season, and was not likely to be first choice next season.
Maybe money, maybe to play more often, either way, Notts fans shouldn't lose too much sleep over this.
Fleetwoods Chairman is throwing some silly money around, regardless of FFP.
Good luck Jeff but there will be better players at Meadow Lane next season.

22 May 2013 19:20:45
Kilmarnock set sign to Alexei Eremenko from Rubin Kazan

22 May 2013 19:18:01
Titus bramble could be an early signing for boro, helping solve the centre half dilemma, with Hines out for months, and wood gate being so injury prone

He going to join an MLS club

22 May 2013 19:13:11
Ed you said in the last post about Ipswich singing Homer if another deal doesn't go through, do you know what player it is? {Ed026's Note - Sorry, I haven't heard of anything as of yet.}

Jay Simpson I've been told, wages are the stumbling block.

22 May 2013 19:12:56
Hearing that Swansea have entered the race with West Ham for Balazs Dzsudzsak (Dynamo Moscow) although could be priced out.

Also been told Southampton are getting closer to Eric Lamela (Roma) and possibly Iker Muniain (Athletic Bilbao). Ed you heard anything on this? Seems unlikely to me. {Ed026's Note - Well, Muniain has caught the attention of Manchester United/City to name a few, he seems to want to stay in Spain.

23 May 2013 12:59:47
You won't get lamela or Munuain

Heard Lamela is linked to both Manchester clubs as well.
I would love both but I doubt we will get either.

We were told we wouldn't get Ramirez but that didn't stop us did it.

^^^
Just like we wouldn't get Clyne? Just like we wouldn't get Rodriguez? Just like we wouldn't get Ramirez? Just like we wouldn't get Forren?
Heard it all before. Do not underestimate Nicola Cortese. There will be at least one eyebrow raising signing you'll see.

Like we wouldn't get Ramirez last year. yawn

^Probably not, but we couldn't get Gaston either.
I honestly doubt we will but anything is possible.

I hope we do get Lamela he's a top young player

22 May 2013 19:06:11
Hi ED, Cotty here, is it true Ipswich Town are signing Mathew Barnes Homer? {Ed016's Note - A fee has 100% been agreed, although apparently the deal is a back up if another deal doensn't go through}

22 May 2013 18:58:44
Cardiff city are to make a double swoop at Wolves for Jamie O'hara & Roger Johnson.

Both money grabbers & Never give 100% Good luck Cardiff!

Never going to happen, we had rj in his prime before we sold him, he's been poor since and o hara is overrated.

23 May 2013 11:29:01
The sooner there gone from wolves the better!

Can't see Johnson coming back to Cardiff

2 big time wanna bees who want the celeb life and 40 k a week to put in at best poor performances

22 May 2013 18:57:33
Hi ED, Cotty here, is it true Town are signing Mathew Barnes Homer? {Ed016's Note - A fee has 100% been agreed, although apparently the deal is a back up if another deal doensn't go through}

22 May 2013 18:46:42
Scunthorpe midfielder Josh Walker will sign for Stevenage.

Can't see this happening was on loan a couple of seasons ago and didn't impress

22 May 2013 18:43:11
Graham Dorrans is being linked with a move to Middlesbrough.

Hope this comes off

He would be good for boro, but WBA wouldn't let him go

This would be a fantastic signing if we can pull it off he's just what we need a goalscoring midfielder

He would single handedly promote us, but I doubt we could afford wages or transfer fee so don't get your hopes up

Wba have already stated they will allow dorrans to leave

Are you jokeing pal he's no c. ron yes he's not a bad player would def make us stronger but 1 player dnt make a team not in the champiolship rant over.

He is in talks with WBA

Don't think he will leave the prem for the championship.

22 May 2013 18:37:55
Bournemouth want to sign Tommie Hoban from Watford and are keen on either a loan or permanent deal. This will depend on the play off final outcome.

They have also identified Dale Stephens and James Ward Prowse as targets in midfield to replace Shaun MacDonald who is off to Yeovil on loan.

Bournemouth want Emmanuel Mayuka also on loan from Southampton

If you're interested in hoban it will only be on loan if we were promoted. He's our next top talent, scouted by arsenal and chelsea before getting injured

Wouldn't be happy to send out Macca on loan, would have no problem with any of these players being brought in though. Can't see Ward Prowse happenning.

James Ward-Prowse won't be leaving Southampton cause he's proven he is capable of Premiership football.

Ward prowse and mayuka will not be going to Bournemouth

No way would we loan out Macdonald.

There is NO WAY on earth either Mayuka or JWP are going to Bournemouth. Not a chance. Sorry!

This is clearly from a really bias Bournemouth fan. Tommie Hoban was young player of the season and is already playing at championship level at 18/19

23 May 2013 09:24:31
Tommie Hoban signed a five-year deal with Watford this season - way after all the loans came in. He won't be moving permanently, especially not to a Championship side.

Scouted by arsenal? what you on about, we got him from arsenal when he was released.

no chance of permanent, loan is v possible though.

We are 'championship level' so what's the problem?

Yes. he was released by Arsenal as a youngster but they and Liverpool were scouting him around October/November time.

Just because a club releases a player as a youngster, it doesn't mean they can't sign him back at a future date.

The problem is that you won't let a player go who could be playing first team championship football at 19 go on a permanent.

That guy is on the same level as Chris Iwelumo! Let alone Deeney or Vydra

22 May 2013 18:35:51
Oxford have signed jon meades on a 2 year deal

22 May 2013 19:16:32

22 May 2013 18:29:56
jeff hughes has signed for fleetwood town, after rejecting a new deal at notts county

22 May 2013 18:06:32
Steve bould will be at stoke by end of next week Coates already lined him up in April.

No it is Benitez, Martinez or Hughes

Benitez or Di Matteo are the favourites

Candidates include:
Rafa Benitez - Favourite
Martin O'Neil
Roberto Martinez
Gus Poyet
Roberto Di Matteo

"Steve bould will be at stoke by end of next week" - visiting family

22 May 2013 18:04:06
Ipswich Town are set to complete the signings of Richard Stearman and Harry Forrester from Wolves and Brentford respectively.

Stearman will cost Ipswich a fee in the region of 500k with Forrester joining on a free transfer after his contract ran out at Brentford. {Ed01T {Ed016's Note - Town do want Forrester although compensation will be due}

Both players would be great to have. Although I think agreeing a fee with Wolves and managing to pay Stearman's wages will be difficult for us. Plus Forrester will have dozens of clubs vying for his signature.

Wolves valued Stearman at 1.5 million pounds during the January transfer window. Good luck to paying one third of that with Jez involved with the deal.

Forester isn't all that. Too inconsistent. Definately not championship standard. Yet.
Source: I watched him week in week out.

He's signed for Blackburn, that's the reason he rejected us

22 May 2013 17:35:45
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is planning an ambitious double swoop on former club Burnely for midfield duo Chris McCann and Marvin Bartley. McCann has been released while Bartley will only cost a nominal fee. Backed by their rich owner, the Cherries can match free agent McCann's wage demand unlike the Clarets.

Really i'm a big afcb fan and i know we won't sign any of these players

22 May 2013 17:33:16
Aston Villa's versatile Chris Herd linked with a move to Middlesbrough.

He can leave, we don't need players of his ability

Unless he can score goals, he ain't touching the boro squad

You have Joe Bennett, twice as poor.

22 May 2013 17:30:41
Cardiff have apparently made enquiries about a player called Andreas Cornelius, whoever he is.

Going to Stoke. Agreed terms.

From Copenhagen yeah would be great to get him 6''4 to

22 May 2013 17:30:02
A number of Championship clubs + Hull have already contacted Carlton Cole's agent to discuss his availability following his release from West Ham.

There is also interest from MLS and Turkey, with Portland Timbers rumoured to be leading the race for his signature.

22 May 2013 17:25:06
Cameron Belford, released BUry goalkeeper is being linked with a move to Walsall, promising young keeper who has made over 100 league apperarances for Bury amongst others

Going to afc wimbledon

He's going to Walsall because of Neil cutler being our new goalkeeping coach

Nope, he is going to Walsall where he will hook up with former goal keeping coack Neil Cutler

Lucky walsall or Wimbledon.

Lucky walsall or Wimbledon.

At least you won't need a garden gnome

22 May 2013 17:13:04
Billy Davies taking James McFadden to Forest next season on a free, since he brought him through at Motherwell. McFadden is proven at international level, and spent most of his career in the Premiership. And went up from the championship with Birmingham City. He has scored against quality teams such as Holland, Spain, France, Ukraine.

Rubbish

22 May 2013 17:07:52
Bristol City have confirmed the signing of Jordan Wynter from Arsenal on a two year deal after the 19 year old midfielder turned down a contract extension at the Arsenal.

Exactly the sort of player the club have said they want sign.

He clearly has some desire to play football as he could have had another year in Arsenal's reserves but has come to Ashton Gate to play.

At 19 and as a free transfer he has the potential to earn us a fee in the future.

I am just hoping he has the talent I have come to expect for lads educated under Arsene.

Hull City looking to sign Brighton's Tomasz Kuszczak

He won't go

Why would we sell Kusczack when we haven't got a good back up keeper.

^
Because the thing about football is, once you've sold a player ina key position you can then use that money to buy a replacement.
No disrespect to Brighton (enjoyed watching them play this year, set for a bright future), Hull City can offer Kusczack Premier League football right now rather than potentially in the future. He must be in his late 20's now and this could be a good move for him.

On the other hand, I saw elsewhere that City are apparently about to sign Allan McGregor for £1.2mil

But, in football a manager should always get a replacement before selling the player.

City are also looking to sign Celtic goalkeeper Fraser Forster and Reading goalkeeper Alex McCarthy if they don't get their first choice.

24 May 2013 18:56:02
doubt kuszack would leave tbh I see hull signing someone like mannone

22 May 2013 17:06:23

22 May 2013 16:13:50
Huddersfield are to sign Bradley Wright-Phillips as part of a swap deal with James Spencer. Sources close to Mark Robins have said to be a admirer of the striker for some years. But with the board not preparing to pay for the striker Robins is set to swap future young star Spencer for the 28 year old, who has been linked with a permanent move to Brentford.

A few years ago yes, but not now. Doesn't fit with what the manager/chairman wants. Young up & coming stars, who want to step upwards, Not players who will be stepping sideways.

When was the last time Town swapped a player, doesn't sound at all right.

22 May 2013 15:52:12
Juventus's Chilliean international Mauricio Isla is consdiering leaving, with Swansea and Fulham keeping tabs on him.

As a Fulham fan I would love to have him. I've heard that he is a great player and hasn't had. Much of a chance at Juve. He is quick, strong and agile just what we need on the wings.

Why are Fulham always being linked to wingers when that's the only area in which we have true depth with the youth coming through. Frei, Kaca, Ruiz, Duff, Richardson and that is not all of them

Because Duff is getting old, Richardson is injury prone, Ruiz plays a more central role and Frei is inexperienced so really we only have kaca on the left.

Duff is getting old and he will not make a big impact next season he will be kept as a sub. Richardson has proved to only be useful as a left back and is constantly getting injured. Ruiz is not played as a winger, he is more of a CAM we are looking to loan out Frei as he didn't make any impact last season mainly due to injury. Kaca is looking promising though and Dejagah is recovering from injury.

From what I just said I think that proves that we might need a winger as competition for places and to raise the quality at our club.

Fulham like Swansea are always being linked with wingers because they are amongst the few EPL sides that play with wingers. This rumour sounds like agent speak.

22 May 2013 15:46:29
Former Oxford midfielder Peter Leven in advanced talks with Northampton.

Good player

22 May 2013 15:50:54
Reports on Turkish News station that Karabukspor have agreed terms & conditions with
Brighton forward Kazenga Lua Lua after the English league team accepted the clubs bid of e1.1m (£950k)

22 May 2013 17:20:16
Brighton won't have a squad left next season at this rate.

Why is everyone Brighton player being linked with other clubs.
If this carries on we'll be relegated next season to League One

£950k, you are obviously an egg chaser, because you know sweet felicity about football.

24 May 2013 18:56:30
he's tweeted that he's not leaving

Won't have to worry about no money soon, all players sold and no wages

22 May 2013 15:46:58
After capturing Tom Clarke, Preston are also looking to sign Liverpool's Adam Morgan on a 2 year deal.

22 May 2013 17:35:17
adam who???

Simpleton alert. Morgan will be in the Liverpool squad to cover Suarez's absence at the start of next season. {Ed026's Note - That's assuming Suarez stays, looks increasingly likely that he'll be off in the transfer season.

22 May 2013 16:09:19
Steve McLarren to Stoke. sorry Stoke fans!

Rafa Benitez - Favourite
Roberto Martinez - Back up

McClaren is going wolves so I don't no what you are sorry for

22 May 2013 16:04:52
Barnsley could sign adam hamill within the week

No thanks went on to bigger and better things not, won't want to come back.

Jacob mellis to leave barnsley for either qpr or huddersfield this summer for a fee of around 500 grand

Don't think so, 1million at the very least, get ya brass out

22 May 2013 15:59:59
Carlton Cole set to join former manager Gianfranco Zola at watford!

Dont be silly we already have far better players at watford than him

Since when did 2 + 2 = 109?

Watford don't play hoofball, don't need that donkey

22 May 2013 15:37:50
Southampton keen to take Marc munesia from barca

Might be keen but no chance of getting him!

22 May 2013 15:21:29
Ipswich Town are to bid for Leyton Orient wideman Dean Cox, a bid of around £400,000 is set to be made with the player eager to play at a higher level.

You sure ipswich have got £400,000 {Ed016's Note - They do, but I can tell you that link is not true}

£400,000? Bazza would be foaming at the mouth with such a thought!

No way dean cox loves the club and still has 5 years left on he's contract {Ed026's Note - 'his contract'

Cox doesn't have 5 years left on his contract. He has 2 I think. 3 at a push. Definitely not 5 though.

£400,000! Snap it up bazz! Cox was one of orients worst performers last season

Cox is one of our best players, so we need to keep him if we want to push for promotion

24 May 2013 08:29:10
There will be no promotion push next season. If Russel Slade's interview on the Leyton Orient's website is anything to go on.

Cox is been poor for the last 2 seasons now. Get rid and use the money for Cookie

Havent yet heard Slade's interview.

Does this mean there will be no usual big money signings for next season?

24 May 2013 18:08:39
Lee Croft's agent has recentely been contacted by Leyton Orient.

Portsmouth are having talks with Lee Cook, just been released by Orient. Pompy also hope to sign Mansfield's Top scorer Matt Green and Ricky Holmes of Barnet.

Wolves favourites to sign Clayton Donaldson for one million. Charlton and Millwall are also interested, but Wolves are prepared to spend big.

Lee Cook has moaned for the last two years about not playing Championship football.

He may have to take what's on offer.

22 May 2013 15:16:28
All the bookies are tipping mark Hughes for stoke job, I have been told he is not even on the short list, Martinez meeting with everton today, but everton also looking within, stoke will also want to talk to martinez but unlikely to happen, stoke also Been in touch with Benitez again unlikely, poyet and Steve bould will be interviewed. Martinez has given 24 hours to make decision.

Benitez is Favourite

Martinez has another week to decide by then Stoke will have their options too

22 May 2013 15:14:14
It seems a summer of promise at Pride Park could slowly be slipping away.

Derby have lost the battle to sign Alex Baptiste who will sign for Bolton and James Vaughan who will sign for Huddersfield following his return from a short holiday break.

Oh well on to the next targets.

Kirk Broadfoot - ex rangers centre half at Blackpool
Matty Fryatt - Hull City Striker 1 year left on his contract

Also we will sign Craig Forsyth next week after the playoff final, Craig Bryson and Jamie Ward will sign new contracts and we are in the hunt for a wide player. Not so bad but there is no denying we have missed out on 2 of our 4 main targets. (Martin and Forsyth were givens)

It could be another season of disappointment (even though it isn't even June).

Fail to see how we can compete on an average budget, yet Appleby/Rush expect top six.

Clough has many faults especially man management, but deserves a decent war chest.

How you know vaughan is comin to HTFC?

Would like to think this one is true.

22 May 2013 15:06:02
Kone has said on his official twitter feed he will be staying with Wigan next year. Wigan are also set to sign Nick Powell on loan from Manchester United.

Has he? Can't find it

Powell would be a good addition for the Championship and would help with the backlog of games for Europe. Good call if it happens, I like this boy, he's goiung to be a player

22 May 2013 15:05:37
Carlton Cole will sign for West Brom

O. k its the silly time of the year. but carlton cole to westbrom really.?

Please god no, he could n, t hit a cow, s arse with a banjo, M A Fortune is as good if not better, so why not give him a contract extension and use the money from Coles wages to get in a top replacement for Lukaku?

I hope not. Totally useless. Wouldn't make baggies reserves. please NO

22 May 2013 15:04:05
Mulumbu is after some big wages 50k pw - Arsenal interested.

Olsson off to Fulham or West Ham

Yacob also rumoured to be leaving.

Only what I have heard from reliable source.

I just hope that we have some VERY good replacements lined up as if true the spine of the team needs replacing and some! I'm worried that we will simply not have the funds and urgency to get all the deals (8-10) done to improve on last year.

Bombers Big Toe

22 May 2013 16:47:08
Fulham have Haangeland and Amorebieta as first choice, so he'd only get bench - Fulham don't pay 3.5m for many of their starters, never mind the subs

I think that we would get 6-7 million for mulumbu and 4 for olsson 6 for yacob that's like 15 million profit and then we could add a bit and buy lukaku

Fulham have just signed Amorebrieta on a free who is better than Olsson so we won't be wanting him. I personally don't rate him.

Fulham have just signed Fernando Amorebieta, so Jonas Olsson would be completely pointless. If what you've said is true, he'll be off to West Ham.

Why on earth would Lukaku go to west brom permanent? You will never sign him dream on

22 May 2013 14:38:38
Bradford look likely to lose James Hanson and Nahki Wells this summer. James Hanson is a target for Leeds along with Alex Revell of Rotherham as Brian McDermott steps up his search for a cheap target man. Wells is wanted by a host of Championship clubs but the front runners appear to be Leicester. The bantams have offered a trial to former Huddersfield striker Alan Lee as a replacement for Hanson and are hoping to get Jamie Vardy on a season long loan should Wells go to Leicester as part of the deal.

Don`t see hanson in the c`ship.

What a massive fall from grace for Hanson! From the lofty heights of working at Morrisons to having to play for Leeds? Poor lad! ;)

Surely Leicester will have to cut the wage bill this season after another failed promotion attempt? So freeing up Beckfords wages (reportedly near 40k) & replacing him with Wells seems quite sensible tbh, he can't demand more than 10k max, surely?

If leeds want revell I will drive him there.

He worked in the co op buddy

Would be good move for wells happily take vardy

Hang on, where have you been for the last few years? HE USED TO WORK AT THE CO-OP. Hanson could do Championship if his team plays some football. Just hoofball doesn't get anywhere with him. Wells will leave but isn't clever enough to play in the Championship.

Not a chance, revs just signed a new deal

22 May 2013 14:31:37
Yeovil town are interested in Larnell Cole on loan from Manchester United to have as a replacement for Reuben Reid who is Plymouth bound

22 May 2013 14:28:11
Southampton fc close to signing 2 quality players. Good source

Yes a quote from the manager a week or so ago saying two deals are close but just like you have mentioned no names.

So thank you for posting the obvious

clarkey saint

As opposed to southampton fc being close to signing to not-quality players? Be any more vague?

Can't give it away because nothing is done until pen hits paper but all I can say its a defender and a defensive midfielder!

I'll kick things off then based on your 'defensive mid and defender' claim.

Hopefully it's Wanayama and Astori!

Mr Cortese thank you for your post. May I call you Nicola? Nicola as you are posting on here any chance of taking a look at Ronaldo seems to be a lot of speculation regarding his future. May as well have a gander at Rooney no smoke without fire. cheers Nicola.

22 May 2013 14:27:50
Tranmere are in talks to sign centre back Stephen foster, released by Barnsley. Left back Jullian Bennett, released by sheff wed, Ryan Lowe as he is looking to move back to the north west. They are also trying to agree a deal with Scunthorpe for Mark Duffy after losing out on Steven Schumacher to Fleetwood.
Alan Lee and kayode odejeji (excuse the spelling) are on Ronnie Moore's shopping list.
These signing are hoping to be made in the next few weeks.

22 May 2013 14:23:54
With Baptiste signing for Bolton, Derby will now follow up interest in their other targets at centre back. they are thought to be Kirk Broadfoot, Elliot Ward or Matt Kilgallon - if none of these are possible then the club will wait until later in the summer and sign a CB on a 6 month loan from a prem club which is when Barker and O'Brien are expected to return.

Isn't Broadfoot a full back and not very tall. {Ed003's Note - he is much better at centre half and is not small}

22 May 2013 14:00:28
Blackpool to complete deals for Kevin McDonald and Krystian Pearce.

Hope this is true, both good players

22 May 2013 13:59:08
Leeds, Leicester and Sunderland could bid for Brighton midfielder, Ryan Harley

Harleys awful they can have him

They can have him. He's been rubbish for us.

HA, stop, just stop. He's League 1 quality.

HA, stop, just stop. He's League 1 quality.

I will drive him to any of these clubs if its true.

22 May 2013 13:53:39
Fleetwood Town who have signed Steven Schumacher from Bury now making am ambitious bid to sign Oldham midfielder Lee Croft.

Rubbish! League croft will not drop down to that sunday league division! He will stay at Oldham or go to the championship! Fleetwood! HA!

22 May 2013 13:47:43
Cristiano Ronaldo's best friend has told a spanish newspaper that Cristiano is looking at properties in Cheshire ahead of a move back to Old Trafford (reliable newspaper, not a silly tabloid) {Ed001's Note - no such thing as a reliable Spanish newspaper when it is regarding football.}

Right i'm off to put my house on it then!

22 May 2013 13:46:25
Jose Bosingwa will finalise a move to Russian club Anzhi this week. QPR are set to confirm the signing of Johan Djourou

Hull City want to sign Leicester City midfielder Matthew James

Leicester won't be doing any business with Hull City. Period.

22 May 2013 16:16:18
He won't leave Leicester only just got into the first team

22 May 2013 17:02:37
Why no business? Hull's money is as good as anyone else's and we can offer Foxes players Premier football.

22 May 2013 17:31:42
No better than what we have

"Leicester won't be doing any business with Hull City. Period. "

Then why was pearson trying to buy Cameron Stewart and Robert Koren?

"He won't leave Leicester only just got into the first team"

He will if he wants Premiership football next season and not MAYBE in the future. And TheGeofflane don't give us your old favourite about Hull definitely to be relegated next season and Leicester getting promoted. Fact is Hull ARE in the Premiership and the foxes are not!

Don't want or need him, he is s****!

22 May 2013 13:43:49
Leeds United have shown an interest in bringing Paul Coutts to Elland Road, with Paul Green moing back to Derby as part of the deal

Not true, paul coutts is an integral part of Derby's team and is part of a midfield which Nigel Clough has already stated he has "no interest in changing".

Paul Green moved to leeds on a free from Derby because they offered better wages and Coutts brought in cheaper to replace him. Green not coming back to Derby as he'd have to take a paycut!

Coutts not going anywhere, Clough rates him and his link up play with Brayford was a lynchpin of most of Derby success last season and Derby want to build on that not dismantle the team.

Brayford, Derby in talks about new deal but brayford waiting for premier club to come in before he commits.

If this was to happen then the club are practically committing suicide.

Ha absolute rubbish. Paul Coutts is miles better than Green. Our most assists this season just had a poor second half of the season. Plus your wasting very high wages on green for a player of his standard we would not be able to offer that sort of money, hence why he left in the first place.

Load of rubbish, coutts has just bought a house in allestree (Derby), and why would green come back to Derby when he left cause we couldn't afford his requested wages.

Not a chance, Paul green went to Leeds for the money so why would he come back to derby for lower wages plus we don't need him

Silly rumour for all the reasons given above. Mind you Clough has made it plain that Coutts goal return wasn't enough. Mind you that doesn't mean Paul Green is coming back.

Green is quality you will see that next season under mcdermott he will be a big player for us

22 May 2013 13:42:34
Declan Rudd to seal a season long loan to Preston North End BEFORE the England U21's tournament begins

Think Rudd would wait until AFTER the England Under 21 games.

A good showing here and he could get a deal to a big Championship club or even be sold by Norwich for decent money.

He will be thinking about his career and a club that will get him to the Prem

Rudd knows that if he signed for PNE he would be first choice, and gain more experience, whereas, if he went to a championship club he probably wouldn't be first choice.

We (Norwich) won't sell him, got a great future ahead of him, as I think give him 2/3 more years I think he will be pushing John Ruddy for the first team jersey.

22 May 2013 13:41:49
Simon Grayson has signalled his intent to bring Chris Dagnall to Preston North End, however the deal would cost in excess of £500k

PNE have a policy of not announcing intended transfer targets.

PNE have a policy of not spending any money on targets

^Stuart Beavon cost us £250k. Want to rephrase that?

Beavons transfer fee was 'undisclosed' and it's been reported that it was in the region of £200k.

Considering he's the only player in the current PNE squad that cost the club a transfer fee.

You can truthfully say the whole squad cost £200k.

22 May 2013 13:40:16
paul scholes joining oldham athletic coaching staff because it is where he is from

matt smith leaving club for newly promoted yeovil

Matt smith is rubbish worst footballer I have seen in ages just big no talent

Scholes isn't from Oldham. he is from Salford. He began supporting them because of his dad and is a life long fan. **Don't quit your day job**

Scholes is from Middleton which is NOT Salford!!!

Scholes was born in Salford, but moved to Langley when he was 2years old, so before you start correcting people get your facts right, for the last 36 years he's lived in oldham, making him from oldham. But not sure on him becoming coaching staff wish it is true

22 May 2013 13:30:54
Bad news for Celtic fans.

Arsenal are set to offer £10 for Wanyama and Cardiff City and Hull City are pondering offering £5. 5 Million for Gary Hooper

A tenner?! that's a bit of a bargain!

Wanyama to Arsenal wouldn't surprise me, they along with man united have been scouting him for most of this season.
Hooper will be offski too but can't see him going to a newly promoted side, that said however money talks

I know Arsene Wenger doesn't like spending cash but £10 is a bargain for Wanyama!

22 May 2013 17:20:03
didn't Wanyama cost that much, I could just afford him at that price

I said the other day, Hooper is on his way to Norwich for £6m, a fee was agreed a while back. {Ed016's Note - Not true, Hughton wanted either him or RVW}

22 May 2013 13:21:10
Burnley and Bolton to battle it out for Jara who was released by WBA today

22 May 2013 17:05:18
Bolton eager to pile up their mountain of debt even more - they will be finished if they don't go up this season.

Listen very carefully, I will say this only once (again).
Bolton are NOT in a big debt situation - other than to their owner.
Finished? Keep wishing young bitter boy.

Ye and he hasn't got a bottomless pit. You were very nearly in trouble when you went down. Selling Cahill and sorting the wage budget saved you. If te parachute payments run out an your still in the champ, I'd be very worried.

23 May 2013 10:37:09
I think carrying a debt of 90 - 100 million even with parachute payments and the benevolence of Eddie, is still a mountain of debt for a moderate size club. Dot forget Finance rules come into play this year

What a plonker, we will be promoted next season as champions back where we belong after the clown took us down. We now have a manager who knows what he is doing. Bolton are on the up. So go fourth and multiple you person

What Bolton fans need to realise is that like you say the vast majority of your debt is to the owner but what do you think will happen when Eddie is no longer around, his family will call that debt in faster that you can say administration

When you have a clue what you are talking about come back. Bolton have a contract that says the soft debt is to be paid back over 20 years so no one can demand it back. So stop babbling on with your nonsense! Now Bolton have a grip on the championship they are going to storm it!

So your gona b payin 5 million back a year for 20 years are you? Even at that amount your going to struggle

There has to be 10 year notice before they begin calling it in.

22 May 2013 13:12:19
Lukaku to stay at West Brom. Work as PA at Stamford Bridge. {Ed001's Note - I am not sure the lad is suited to be a PA personally, but I wish him the best of luck in his new career.}

, very good Ed

22 May 2013 12:22:32
Peterborough set to sign brit assambalonga

Fits the posh buying policy

On loan till jan I have been told and little and Swanson have refused new deals

Swanson not out of contract

Little maybe as he is out of contract. Think you'll find that Swanson has more that a year left so no new contract will have been offered yet.

He is in his last year though

Swanson signed for 2 years so I make 2 minus 1 equals 1

Swanson has 1 year left and POSH have an option on a further year as per DMAC interview on Thursday 23 May

22 May 2013 12:20:28
Ryan Tunnicliffe will move to League One side Stevenage on a season long loan

22 May 2013 12:16:49
with the funds raised from Marcus Habers' sale, Stevenage will try to bring Bostwick or Mousinho back to the Lamex

No chance of getting bostwick back and little chance of mousinho coming back

Agree with above + Haber ain't going to make us much!

Perhaps Mousinho. Bostwick should be playing Championship footy next season.

22 May 2013 12:14:31
Rangers have enquired about taking Islam Feruz (Chelsea) on loan next season. Ian Vigurs (Ross County) and Danny Wilson (Liverpool) also being looked at on free transfers.

22 May 2013 11:58:39
Burnley are in pole position to sign Danny Haynes ahead of Barnsley and Ipswich

22 May 2013 14:44:08
As a Burnley fan, I hope not.

Derby are also interested

Good, wouldn't want Haynes back a portman rd. All speed and no end product, except against Norwich :-)

Haha you think that ipswich would even think about haynes! you must be having a laugh!

We let I'm go don't think he will be coming back

22 May 2013 12:42:13
Millwall have today approached Peterborough for permission to talk to Darren Ferguson. No word on Peterborough's response but Darren is said to be keen to talk.

Hope not as he rarely buys Scottish players, why do they not go for big Terry Butcher? He works wonders on no money, would do well with a limited budget for players.

This is nonsense, Darren and Darragh have confirmed he will be Peterborough manager next season.

"said to be keen"? doubt it, and he would cost you a fortune, so. rubbish!

Lets Hope So!

Millwall are not interviewing managers who have a job for next season.

Why would we want a manager who's got the same club relegated twice? Surely Millwall are aiming higher than that?

Only relegated once with posh

Three promotions, one relegation, that's why!

Peterborough must have a similar budget to Millwall, and he's not performed as well as Kenny Jackett, so unless we're looking to be in relegation scrap again, I don't see D. Ferguson even getting getting close.

We're very happy to keep Darren at Posh thank you.

Kevin Brands set to sign for Ipswich in the next few days. He will be joined by Jean Paul Lacoste (Lower League French Striker) & Paul Smith (English GK).

22 May 2013 14:26:07
More like Jo Brand likely. :)

I've heard there haven't been any discussions on terms yet for Brands, so unlikely to happen until the end of next week at the earliest

22 May 2013 12:32:39
Phil Bardsley, Titus Brambe, Matt Kilgallon and David Vaughan to sign for Hull City

Hope you sign the lot. Especially Bramble.

Redbird

Yer all right, you pick all the players you don't like at your club Sunderland and think hull are going to buy them all. hmm?

22 May 2013 12:10:51
Arsenal considering Gonzalo Higuain (Real Madrid) if Fiorentina don't drop their price for Stevan Jovetic.

Tottenham still interested in Joao Moutinho (Porto), David Villa (Barcelona) and now Viktor Fischer (Ajax).

Chelsea still hopeful of landing Falcao (Atletico Madrid) despite reports of Monaco's interest. Luke Shaw (Southampton) being considered as if Ilkay Gundogan (Dortmund) if David Luiz moves to Spain.

All this from a close friend and current agent.

Chelsea would have to fork out in excess of 20 million for Shaw ( Yes he is that valuable, look at Bale now). I just cannot see Mourinho going down that route, he doesn't like splashing out on english youngsters. He'd rather shop in Spain or Portugal for a more established player I'd have thought.

Yeah ok then. // Luke shaw is staying at Saints. new contract to be signed in July when he's turns 18. BOOM

Luke Shaw is not going to Chelsea. Maybe you should listen to what Shaw and Pochettino have said on this matter.

22 May 2013 17:37:53
I'll be honest lads, I'm from Glasgow and don't take a major interest in English football. Just passing on information I've been getting. I'll take your word on Shaw but Chelsea are definitely admirers.

Fischer looks a decent prospect CAM/Winger player. A lot of this does sound like it could happen.

I don't think chelsea are going to bag shaw for another couple of years.

If higuain moves to arsenal, who are they going to sell to make room? Giroud or podolski?

Luke shaw to stay at Saints. New deal to be completed in July with wages thought to be record breaking plus first team football. Futures bright. Futures red and white :-))

Isnt moutinio having a medical at monaco?

22 May 2013 12:01:01
Preston are set to sign Walsall contract rebel Febian Brandy. The ex Manchester United trainee is keen on moving back up north.

He has already had one trial at PNE two years ago, considered not good enough then but he did score against us at Deepdale last season.

PNE knocked Brandy back in 2011 when he was on trial with the club.

Why would he go back?

22 May 2013 17:06:58
Brandy will not sign for Preston

Different manager

Why would he go to PNE when he is at a better club with Walsall anyway?

New manager, he might come back

As a preston fan I'd love to see this but I just can't see it. To any Walsall fans saying their team is better, just wait till the end of the 2013/14 season.

Walsall outclassed Preston twice last season. The only reason why it would be any different next season is if Grigg and Brandy leave and we sign a bunch of no-hopers. Can't see Brandy going to another League 1 club. He'll stay or go to the Championship.

Better club? Walsall? REALLY? Jesus some deluded people on here.

24 May 2013 10:13:24
Where did you finish in the table and where did we finish

22 May 2013 12:04:06
Hull City to sign Phil Bardsley from Sunderland by the end of the week.

Carlton cole is also coming from west ham and a possible move for odenwinge

Utter rubbish. elmohamady yes, rosenior just signed new contract, a new right back is bottom of the list, especially a crap one!

I hope we don't sign any of them! 3 prime examples of everything that is wrong with modern football

This is a load of dog po*, bring back Ian Ashbee

22 May 2013 11:55:29
Rafa Benitez set to be named Stoke Manager after being offered A £3 Million-a-year contract and given assurances of control and money to spend to overhaul the squad

Don't wreck British culture at Stoke

22 May 2013 11:47:30
Afc wimbledon foward luke Moore is attracting attention from Gillingham and Portsmouth, as he has yet to sign a new contract at Afc.

No chance

Lose it luke done a job for us at the end of the season but he is replacable stay or go won't determine are season

22 May 2013 15:55:20
Released Charlton Athletic winger Scott Wagstaff is close to agreeing personal terms with Gillingham.

AFC Wimbledon set to sign George Francomb, Craig Beattie, Jon Meades, Cameron Belford, Efe Sodje, and Jack Ainsley on a free, and bring in Toby Ajala on a season long loan deal.

I really hope Luke Moore stays at the club.

Thats wrong meades has signed for oxford 2 year deal

Beattie and sodje are journey men never settle any wear and are no wear near the class of midson

I hope that's false as Meades has already joined Oxford otherwise Jesus, where to start -
Francombe - yes please, he was the only guy we had all season who could properly deliver a cross. But given Oxford are paying a 21 year old left back more than our top earner I doubt it's going to come off.
Efe Sodje is 40 and was sent on loan to Barrow last year! I'll take Antwi everyday. Unless he's coming as a coach.
Beattie - only managed 5 appearances for Barnet, that had better be because of injury if that's going to be our 'experienced' striker. Strutts all day long please.
Ainsley - possible, but as a starter? He's got virtually no league experience at 22 and its all on Benno.
Belford - possible. But you'd rather it was Sully. sad times.

Its not false meades has signed for oxford.

Akinfenwa to Wimbledon

It's more likely to be false because Meades has signed for Oxford. And I agree, I'd take Francomb. Any of the others would surprise me greatly based on Ardley's previous signings and fitting into his 'system'.

Would love the Beast, but not sure he'd fit for Ardley.

22 May 2013 11:45:23
Huddersfield manager Mark Robins has recently been to Holland to look at Mike Van Duinen from ADO Den Haag, Huddersfield are supposedly going to offer something in the region of £800,000 -£1,000,000

Oh dear

Wat position does he play

Well the player has told Sky he knows nothing of any interest from Huddersfield and has no plans to move to England, valued at £600k on transfer market. He does sound to be a promising striker and Mark Robins was in Holland last week and again yesterday so maybe something in it.

St or LW

I think the only big money Huddersfield will be spending this summer is hopefully bringing in Vaughan.

Striker I think, does not look all that really

Probably a striker

22 May 2013 20:23:45
21 year old st he's 6 foot 4 who as scored 10 goals in the Denmark premier league

He's a forward who's scored a few this season. Seems to show promise, but not sure whether he's Town bound

^van duinen plays for ADO Den Haag in Holland.

I think the only big money Town are going be spending is on flights accommodation and expences if the names we have heard about so far are the best this revamped scouting network can come up with. BOOOOOoooooooo

23 May 2013 07:31:58
Vaughan set to sign a deal with town because derby fans say they have let it slip with him.

I do not think he is 800k- 1 mill worth

22 May 2013 11:44:29
Bolton have beaten a host of championship and premier league clubs to the signing of Alex Baptiste from Blackpool. He has reportedly agreed a 3 year contract, and on another note stu Holden has signed a new 1 year contract to stay at Bolton.

Great signing, was one of blackpools best players in premier league, will be a good leader of the defense, dougie is starting to get the balance of the squad right and I think with a striker and a winger in before the end of the window we will get promotion this year, think we will sign beckford next because if dougie belieives he can get the best out of him he will score goals. DFSWA

Sad to lose Baps

Was my player of the season 2 times running but his head hasn't been in the game for the last season and I think we saw the best of him a long time ago.

Good pay day for him and no doubt a nice signing on fee.

Will get a warm welcome when he returns to Bloomfield.

Good buy for Bolton.

Agree with all of that except the warm welcome bit, if he'd gone anywhere but Bolton (or Preston) then yes, I think it'll be mixed now to be honest.

22 May 2013 10:37:03
Motherwell have granted Stuart McCall permision to speak with Sheffield United. If McCall does go to Sheffield United, he will take out of contract Michael Higdon with him. Motherwell will replace Stuart McCall with Alloa Athletic's manager Paul Hartley.

League One, Too bigger step up for Higdon I reckon, far too slow.

22 May 2013 10:14:07
Graham Westley looking to go back to his non-league 'roots' by signing Stacy Long, David Bridges and Yemi Odubade for Stevenage; all of which were present during their promotion campaign from the Conference in 2010.

These players won't sign after the club made 4 signings yesterday

These players were sold back to the conference as they were not up to league 2 standard, let alone league 1

22 May 2013 11:31:27
Lyle Taylor Will NOT Be Signing For Rotherham. He Has Stated His Desire To Stay In Scotland With Friends And Family. Is Currently In Talks With Dundee United.

22 May 2013 11:21:50
Exeter City striker Jamie Cureton could be set for a move to league 1 Walsall, with Febien Brandy and Will Grigg stalling on new contracts.

22 May 2013 10:27:53
Westley planning on raiding Non-League Luton Town by signing Andre Gray, Ronnie Henry and Alex Lawless for an undisclosed joint fee.

Gray and lawless would be good signingsfor the boro.

22 May 2013 10:00:35
Bournemouth are to sign Peter Crouch as they can use the Russian investors to finance the move through sponsorship to get round the financial fair play.

They are also interested in Ryan Shotton and Matthew Kilgallon

Bournemouth to sign Amos Foyewa as a bid to stay in championship for a fee of 4.5 million

You couldn't make it up! Oh sorry you did!

Shotton way too good for us. He's Prem quality & doing great for Stock last time I checked.

Shotton is the most plausable because Howe tried to sign him a number of times for Burnley

22 May 2013 16:46:56
peter crouch REALLY?!

He won't jump from league 1 or the championship its too big a move and stoke are getting mark hughes anyway.

22 May 2013 09:57:36
West brom have enquired about the possible transfer of darren bent

22 May 2013 15:28:35
I don't think that darren bent would be a good signing for the albion, because he only did well at villa and sunderland when they had good wingers. We don't have any proper wingers.

To the guy above but we are looking into bringing people like Sinclair to the club so it could work

22 May 2013 09:54:29
Set to be confirmed that Drew Talbot has rejected a new deal and has left the club the blue's set to confirm that Jacob Hazel and Richard Brindley will stay on 1 year deals. Mark Randall is believed to be looking elsewhere with the possibility of him looking to move back down south to his family. Cook has a good list of players he wants its also appears that the deal Romuald Boco which fell through could be back on as the club have improved there offer other possible ins are:

McCabe Shamrock Rovers
McCormack Shamrock Rovers
Ball Doncaster
Mullen Doncaster
Clark Barnsley (loan)
Linganzi Accrington Stanley
Boco Accrington Stanley
Black Tranmere Rovers
Dickenson Brighton
Townsend Hull City

Chapman and Doyle all ready signed
worrying thing is not heard any news on possible realistic Centre half signings

Dickenson signed a 1 yr extension with brighton so best would be a loan

Drew talbot signed new 2 year contract thursday morning

22 May 2013 09:44:40
Reports are that Brighton have accepted a £950k bid (1.1m euros) from Turkish club Karabkspor for Kazenga Lua Lua.
He tweeted at the weekend that his future is abroad with his brother Lomana in Turkey.

Well done you looked up the team that Lomana Lua Lua plays for! Can assure you he's not going there!

I hope that's not true! he was just getting better towards the end of the season

Its reported now on Turkish News Sports station. £975k with potential £350k add ons for appearances over 2 seasons.

22 May 2013 18:13:47
Where is this tweet? Doesn't seem to be on twitter

He is just moving to a new property locally, and is happy at BHA.

He started to play well for us at end of season

22 May 2013 09:55:06
Luke Shaw is set to reject moves to Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and Manchester City to sign a five year contract at Southampton.

Davide Astori's move to the South Coast Club is still on and a €11m bid has been accepted.

Victor Wanyama is also subject of a £10m bid from The Saints.

I guess we all just have to cross our fingers until July where Shaw is concerned.
Don't see it with Wanyama? Good player but he will cost the earth and how do you keep him, Morgan and JC happy? Only two DM spots in the side. Where would that leave the promising JWP?
Interesting to see Astori crop up again. I follow la logs more than serie a. Does anyone know what kind of season he's had? Ed? {Ed001's Note - no idea, sorry, I am not a big fan of Italian football so haven't watched him play.}

"Good player but he will cost the earth and how do you keep him, Morgan and JC happy? Only two DM spots in the side. Where would that leave the promising JWP?". You need 2 quality players for each position, so JWP would be in the same position he has been all season. It doesn't mean anyone is leaving.

Astori has done relatively well this season, enough so to still be appealing to some of the Serie A elite like AC Milan.

22 May 2013 18:40:36
Wanyama Is no where near worth 10 Million Saints, Please invest elsewhere!

22 May 2013 09:11:44
I have it on good advice from a member of the West Brom board. The club will make two marquee signing. The rest will made of loans and frees. He tells me the following will happen

Sebastian Coates on loan
Nathan Redmond on loan
Matias Suarez 5m

Outs
Markus Rosenberg will join an Italian Club
Graham Dorrans will either go to Celtic or Middlesborough
Peter Odemwingie will join West Ham if they can't get Lukaku
Jonas Olsson also West Ham

Why on Earth would Birmingham loan out Nathan Redmond, a player for whom they could easily recoup a substantial fee regardless of their financial situation?

If your suggestion is that his new club will loan him out for experience, it would probably be useful if it was settled as to who that club is first.

The OP is clearly nonsense.

22 May 2013 13:05:06
More to the point, why would WBA sign a player, on loan albeit, who is clearly a division lower in quality.

Also, Olsson out? I doubt it highly. A great defender. If it were a bigger club like Liverpool, Newcastle, Tottenham, then yeah sure I can see the attraction, but to West Ham?

And as for Rosenberg? Why would Clarke be fitting him into his team for the last 6-8 matches if he didn't have a future after just one season in English football.

Give me a break.

Yeah nonsense, coates is not needed with dawson coming back, remdond won't happen, and mbokani is far more likely than suarez, dorrans won't be going to the championship and Rosenberg may still stay, only thing you've said that seems possible is odemwingie to westham, you clearly do not know anyone on the board

Mbokani will sign for kiev

22 May 2013 09:09:28
The only likely player to be leaving Brentford is Harry Forrester with Aston Villa or Ipswich his likely destination.

Come on Ipswich. Pull one out of the bag.

He isn't going to ipswich

22 May 2013 14:13:30
I think Brentford will do well to keep hold of Harlee Dean - a few Championship vultures are circling after the play-off defeat.

Please please please come to Ipswich

Whoever goes for Harlee Dean will have to give us some big money as still contracted.

22 May 2013 09:06:17
Expect Eddie Howe of AFC Bournemouth to be offered the position of head coach at Stoke City, where he could be joined by Neil Warnock as Director of Football, after the Potters first choice of Rafa Benetiz emerged as a shock target to replace Alan Pardew at Newcastle.

This after Mike Ashley has grown increasingly concerned about the lack of progress the club have made despite heavy investment in the playing staff at St James Park.

Too far north for Eddie Howe, there's no way his wife will allow it.

Why would pardew get sacked when he signed a new contract before Christmas?

Non Starter. Eddie Howe learnt from his mistake first time. He won't move his family again. He would openly tell anyone this that asked such a silly question.
However if it was Manchester City he might change his mind lol

22 May 2013 14:15:47
I agree with first poster - Eddie's wife will not allow him to move again. She likes to have all her family and friends close by. That is the reason he left Burnley - wife was homesick after she had their first child.

Howe can't manage a big club so he'll stay at Bournemouth

Wife being homesick was only a small part of the reason Eddie left Burnley, I doubt the main reason would be put on here if I posted it.

^
sounds intriguing please tell more?

If Eddie left AFCB at this time I would be truly surprised

Heard a strong rumour that Howe is being trailed by Swansea should Laudrup move on

22 May 2013 09:03:16
QPR have bid £5 million for Jack Cork. They see Cork as a good solid professional who will act as their linchpin for their attack on promotion next season. Cork is known to Kevin Bond from their time at Bournemouth and is seen as just the sort of character needed at the Hoops.

Cork is highly thought of at Southampton and Cortese has told them to add a nought and even then its a no which could be a no. or could just be start of the negotiation.

You think by adding a 0 to the end means start of negotiation? QPR are a championship team. Cork is playing in a premiership team and starting every week. He's been solid and consistent. I can't see why QPR think he would move to a financially sinking club in a lower division.

There is no way that cork would step down to qpr. He and schneiderlin are the midfield base for southampton for many years to come.

NO CHANCE of Jack Cork leaving Saints at all! Let alone leaving them for a Championship side.

Ridiculous for so many reasons. Why would Cork leave to join a championship club? Particularly one that is in total disarray? He is worth far more than 5mill, he is happy at Saints, he is valuable to us and we don't want or need to sell. A non story if ever there was one!

Ridiculous rumour. £5 million wouldn't even buy his left leg and why would he decide to leave Saints to play in the Championship? No chance that will happen.

Our starting CM moving down a division? Behave

What if QPR had offered to double his wage. ?

22 May 2013 17:16:01
QPR can buy who they want with Fernandez money - far more than Saints. We can ask Cork to choose the wage he wants like we did with Samba.

No because our players play football they are not money grabbing people like the players at QPR

Wouldn't matter how much they offered him. It would be a step down in his career.

Think everyone underestimates jus how much money Southampton have right now. And underestimate the loyalty of Southampton players

"QPR can buy who they want with Fernandez money - far more than Saints. We can ask Cork to choose the wage he wants like we did with Samba"

You actually think you can get cork?
Anyway Saints have a ambitious chairman with his plans backed by a very wealthy owner, which to me does not sound like its far more then saints.

Why would cork want to go to a club that has a team full of over paid prima donnas, who only manged 25 points and now play in a league below, who will not get promoted with a manager who doesn't want to be there? Talk about a step in the wrong direction for his career.

Have fun with all the spending and the losses being made when the financial fair play rules come in.

5 million for Jack Cork, even QPR are'nt that stupid you lot really are deluded not worth 1 million let alone 5 lol

Huddersfield town looking at taking dale Jennings on loan from bayern Munich reserves. Jennings was signed from tranmere a few seasons ago.

This rumour does the rounds every year about now.

Tranmere have first option

Think you are getting your Dale's mixed up.

Doesn't exactly seem to have set the world on fire.

a host of Premier League and Championship clubs are battling it out to bring Bayern Munich youngster Dale Jennings back to the UK.

Jennings sealed a dream move to Bayern Munich two years ago after catching the eye of the German giants with a number of impressive performances for Tranmere Rovers.

A number of English clubs were on the trail of Jennings prior to his move to Bayern and they have been alerted to the news that he is seeking a return to the UK after failing to settle in Germany.

Bayern have reluctantly agreed to let the skilful winger move on despite Jennings impressing during his time at the Allianz Arena.

Jennings' agent, Neil Sang, has confirmed that the player is hoping to secure a move back to England this summer and that a number of clubs have already expressed an interest in acquiring his services.

"Dale is keen to come back to England and Bayern with a heavy heart have reluctantly agreed to let him move on for the right offer, " Sang told tv.

"Dale has enjoyed his time at Bayern and the only reason for him to leave is for personal reasons as he has just not settled in Germany.

"There has already been a great deal of interest shown in Dale from clubs in the Premier League and Championship and I am speaking to those interested clubs as we hope to sort out something on Dale's future as soon as possible. "

Ex-Port Vale Winger Ashley Vincent Is Said To Be In Talks With Fellow League One Clubs Sheffield United & MK Dons. Vincent Turned Down A New Deal To Stay At Vale Park, And The Ex-Colchester Winger Is Keen To Play For A Higher Profile Team. Bradford Are Also Said To Be Interested

Vincent is awful, no chance that Sheffield want him. He will be off to a league 2 side. Left port vale as he was greedy not to play for a bigger side.

More likely Bradford will go in for Wagstaff, better pedigree and is known to Parkinson.

22 May 2013 07:55:12
Steve Mclaren to take over at Millwall. Has spoken to the board and they are in the process of signing up Chris Berra of Wolves, Nicky Bailey of Middlesborough and Noel Hunt of Reading. All available on frees.

Ive heard that Bailey is off to Millwal anyway. He was in talks before Jackett left!

Wasn't sure when first heard this but he's not a bad manager and worked wonders over in holland. He's got a lot to prove to people and this might just be his chance.

For the love of god, avoid Berra like the plague.

Millwall are not interviewing anyone until Friday.

22 May 2013 07:45:02
Heard Southampton are chasing UAE winger Omar Abdulrahman and Egypt wonderkid Ramy Rabia

Is this Radhi Jaidi's work?

With the exception of Al Habsi isn't there a self imposed rule from The UAE and Saudi FA stopping there players from playing abroad or did I dream it? I Ed any help on this one {Ed001's Note - I had not heard that before, but it could be true, an attempt to improve the quality of the league by stopping the players moving abroad.}

There isn't a rule concerning UAE or Saudi players leaving the country to play abroad. It's just sometimes difficult to obtain a work permit for them.

I think the rule is (based off my football manager knowledge) that they have to be 18/19/20 to move abroad. It's one of those.

A lot of countries are the same.

Jaidi looks like he could be a great asset if he finds us some under the radar youngsters for free

22 May 2013 02:14:44
andy millen to help out mark Roberts at Ayr, also killie interested in ayr's robbie crawford.

With ex Huddersfield utility player Tom Clarke failing his medical yesterday, Simon Grayson will look to George Francombe, recently released by Norwich, to add strength in depth at right back / right wing. A compensation fee will be required as Francombe is under the age of 21 which is currently being negotiated. AFC Wimbledon have also expressed interest but League 1 football and a shot at promotion to the second tier is preferred. Declan Rudd has been informing George about Preston's ambitions and his own personal desire to return for the 2013/14 season.

4 Clubs chasing Rudd for next season according to the Norwich media.

PNE & 3 Championship clubs.

Norwich may also sell Rudd if the price is right

Why would there be a compensation fee? He's already been released, which you just mentioned

Lie, no need for compensation they released him

Tom Clarke has signed today

Tom clarke is signed as pne player

Rudd has not been released by NCFC. Lee Camp is the only GK who has been.

He has signed, didn't fail his medical. The time was because of past injuries

Clarke signed a 2 year deal this morning.

Tom Clarke just confirmed signing for Huddersfield which gives us a better chance of getting Francombe he is a very good player. But I expect there will be interest from higher clubs as he is still so young

Tom Clarke signed by PNE. Official announcement made by club.

Tom Clarke has signed for PNE so what's all this rubbish about failing his medical?

22 May 2013 08:52:52
Walsall ate to confirm the signings of Plymouth goalkeeper Jake Cole and Charlton midfielder Scott Wagsaff at the end of the week.

Cameron Belford is a real possibility for Walsall - haven't heard anything about Jake Cole. Or we could be signing McCarey on loan from Wolves again.
Source : Express & Star

22 May 2013 08:38:21
Bournemouth to buy Marco Boselli from Wigan to partner Brett Pitman up front.

I'll drive the lazy striker down to you

22 May 2013 16:58:12
no thanks, Pitman is lazy as it is, we don't want to lackadaisical strikers up top

^Pitman lazy?^ You really don't have a clue do you.

Its Mauro by the way, can't see this though

Moronic comment about pitman being lazy, if you can't acknowledge his improved workrate and teamwork (like eh and most supporters now do) you're one in the minority of persons who need to watch more closely

We will re-sign hollands but arter isn't going anywhere we've valued him at 5 mil

22 May 2013 08:40:34
Everton, Newcastle, West Brom and West Ham interested in Clint Dempsey.

22 May 2013 10:24:40
this rumour is rubbish he's on 65,000 pound a week more likely
sinclair,
lukaku,
di santo,
le fondre,
redmond,
sako,
mbokani

Sinclair would have high wages too tbf

22 May 2013 06:47:19
Notts County to sign.
Mustapha Dumbuya
Kevin Davies
Mark Duffy
Ben Gordon
Jimmy Ryan
Adam Reed

With Enoch, Sheehan, Hughes, Smith, Zoko, Boucaud being told they can leave, a number of loans and released young prem/champ players to join as squad players.

Only one player "coming in" is right.

Sheehan and Hughes haven't been told they can go, they've been offered new deals. Whether they sign them or not though is a different thing.

Also the others would require fees as are still under contract

Not sure we could afford Davies. He's been on a premier league salary for his whole career. We could probably offer him £2 and a kebab which would probably do the job

Jimmy Ryan is the bloke coming in, but there is a possibility of duffy and dumbaya if one of the defenders leave

Why would notts tell Bouchard he can leave when they paid Luton Town £25k for is services season just ended, get a grip please people.

Can we hurry and sign ryan before some other club does. perfect judge/hughes replacement

Exactly my thoughts too, if we are in for these players then we need to be quick or the same as usual will happen and we sign the crap that is left

22 May 2013 05:03:43
Sean St Ledger to join Barnsley FC from Leicester City FC or a disclosed fee.

Would be a good signing for tarn

22 May 2013 04:09:00
There's a strong rumour here in the US that Norwich City are set to make a move for Sporting Kansas City's US international midfielder star Graham Zusi after the club have been extremely impressed with him after thorough scouting.
It is thought that a bid of as little a £2m would be enough to prise away the 26 year old away from the MLS side.

Who? have we not learned our lesson from Kei Kamara?

Kamara was good for us

No kamara was awful

Kamara was good up top, when for some reason he was played out wide, he was bad

Kamara was involved in 9 of the 12 goals scored while he was with us.

without them we would of gone down.

fairweather fan.

Its no coincidence that Norwich started winning when kamara went back to USA

23 May 2013 10:17:14
City only scored 8 goals in the period Kamara was at the club.

To be fair we only started playing attacking football after he left, think he would have done better for us in those games.

Kamara done a good job for us and Chris Hughton not signing him means he has someone else in mind just hope its not Gary Hooper

Alistair Slowe is set to sign a short-term contract at Derby County. Nigel Clough rates him as one for the future.

If he is "One for the future" then why would he sign a short term contract only for him to impress and a bigger club would then pick him up for free

Absolute rubbish. Firstly he isn't that good I have seen him play a fair bit.

Also we already have a youth welsh international RB and the best championship RB. Brayford could potentially leave mind but we would still have Freeman.

AFC Wimbledon will keep an eye on recently released Norwich City academy graduate, George Francombe. The player impressed, amidst a team in poor form, during a loan spell at Wimbledon in the first half of the season and can play at either right back or right midfield. It remains to be seen whether interest from clubs higher in the football league will develop, but should Ardley opt to make an approach, Wimbledon may prove an ideal place to kickstart his career.

not a stoke fan here but. anyone else agree that its crazy to get rid of Pulis?

Similar to Mick McCarthy at Wolves, he built a team and a mentality which once gone will fall to pieces.

Having not previously considered the thought. Stoke to get relegated next season, thoughts?

I think Stoke has taken one hell of a gamble by getting rid of Pulis. Don't think for one moment that Pulis will be out of work for long.

As a Wolves fan I can tell you it fell apart under McCarthy, we had won once in 3 months before his sacking. We had the 5th largest net spend in premier under McCarthy and by enlarge he purchased c**p. We fell apart because of him not despite him. Also a lot of Wolves fans had had enough of the terrible football. I ain't knocking Stoke fans but you do have to be careful what you wish for.

Classic 'mutual consent'. We think you should go Tony do you agree? Maybe right time for him to go next season going to be harder for Stoke. They need to change and Pulis not man for that. Delegation candidates like Bolton and Wigan before them.

Huge gamble, Pulis had built a squad capable of playing his style of football effectively enough to be a mid table team.

If they bring in some new manager that wants to play "attractive" football, their squad is going to need a considerable overhaul or they could struggle to stay up next season

He'll probably go to Wolves.

"not a stoke fan here but" - they very first question you need to ask yourself before judging the values of getting rid of Pulis is; Would you pay YOUR money to watch Stoke?

Coates is a great businessman and more importantly a life long fan. He'll see the club right.

Not only will Stoke stay up, they'll also start to entertain.

Depends who comes in. Not similar to Wolves at all, as he was sacked with about 7 games to go and replaced by the assistant manager. They were going down anway.

Pulis has left a very strong backbone at the club for a new manager to build around.

I'm hoping Coates has not sacked him without having a replacement in mind!

Well let's hope the gamble pays off.

Wrong, perfect time for him to go, his football was stale, and every team except Liverpool sussed stoke and their tactics out.

I thought Stoke were to go down this season, I will say it was the best tenner I've ever lost, in staying up.

Pulis has done many things for the club, Survival from Championship, Promotion, constant survival, FA Cup final & Europe run & invented the towel inside the shirt!

But its the right time to let him go, we know we can attract reasonible players and also the same goes for managers. I personally thing relegation odds will not be thought of next season. Unless we get Hughes, that will be a disaster!

Nope Pullis has taken Stoke as far as he can, they are now starting to go backwards and he has spent some dosh so that shouldn't be happening, but if they get a football9ing manager in then tey will need to change big time.

Pulis has taken us as far as he can? how much further can we go do you expect him to win the league or qualify for champions league?

No-one expects Stoke to be top four, but with the money spent we should be able to match Swansea and West Brom. They have won more and played much better while spending much less.

I'm a wolves fan and I don't want Tony Pulis anywhere near my club. Not even a flying visit. Ever.

To the wolves fan who said they don't want pulis then don't be so shocked about staying in league 1 if you don't want a top class manager

On a wolves fan, and pulis would be best choice by far, he would get the job done, don't think he would wanna come tho.

Ipswich Town will announce the signing of Matthew Barnes-Homer from Macclesfield for a fee of £50,000 rising to £125,000 based on appearances. The 27 year old striker will sign a two year contract.

Ipswich are also in talks with Jay Tabb.

Please so my reply to a similar thread below. We had Him at Luton and 95% of the time he's rubbish, Ipswich are wasting their money and their scouts need their eyes testing. As a reward for warning you can you make sure Drury re-signs for Luton?!

Scored 19 goals (16 in league) during 2009-10 season for Luton so can't be that bad!

Burton and Fleetwood have shown interest in Richie Baker who scored 14 goals last season for relegated Conference side Barrow. He's a free agent and also has a solid offer from Tamworth.

Where you heard that from?

22 May 2013 11:43:18
he don't play for Barrow.
Boyes scored the goals for barrow and now has signed for gateshead.

Is there any true, that robbie weir is off
To Glasgow rangers? This rumour has been going around for weeks now. I know he has a year left?. What a lost if he does, hard to replace.

Fingers crossed this rumour has no legs. Weir was outstanding last season and I hope stays with the Brewers.

Hearing from my QPR source that coach Steve cotteril is on his way to Bristol Rovers with a view to take from John ward at the end of next season. Very reliable source.
