David Silva will not be signing for Liverpool. Benitez made a bid for Silva not too long ago (the interest from liverpool was reported in the press) for about £20 million. Valencia decided to make public Liverpools enquiry in order to encourage a bidding war (primarily between Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool) – this was seen as very untoward. Benitez was apparently furious, all discussions were ended, the bid was withdrawn and Benitez/Liverpool FC have refused to do business with Valencia. Due to Valencia's conduct regarding this matter it has put off several other English clubs bidding for there stars including Chelsea making a bid for David Villa. Man City are still sniffing round Villa and Silva but are also reluctant to make a bid.
Liverpool have enquired and bid for Glen Johnson. £8 million was bid and flatly rejected.
Samuel Eto'o is definitely not on his way to Anfield. All talk of discussions and/or bids being made with Barcelona are pure fabrication. Its a pity as i would love to see him at Anfield but at the moment it is definitely idle gossip.
Benitez has apparently ear marked and already had one bid turned down for an unknown player based in Italy. Marek Hamsik seems the most likely player as Liverpool have bid for him before only to be turned down by the player on the basis of his development not being at the required level. It would probably take a bid of £15 million+ to prize him away, which Liverpool are unlikely to pay.
Hicks has missed repayment on his RBS loans an issued with a notice – this story is still developing. If Hicks cannot secure captial to either offset the loan, payback the loan or gain extra time for repayment then he will be 'forced' to sell his stake in the club.

Manchester United will bring in Diego from Bremen for a fee of around 25million plus Nani on a season long loan.
Chelsea will miss out on Villa but will get Yuri Zhirkov for around 15 mil.
Liverpool will get Aguero for around 20 mill plus Babel this one is for certain.

Firstly I am a LFC fan but do not claim to be Rafa's brothers aunties uncle goldfish sister mate. These are by no means definite but have heard thes names being banded about as possible targets. Theo Walcott – seems unlikely as he is playing well at the moment, and if this were to happen it won't be for the small figures mentioned previously on this site. Gareth Barry – Still can't understand why we are continuing to show interest, He is a great player but not the calibre that we need .Perhaps i am being biased as i am alonso's greatest fan. Samuel Eto'o – Superb striker who can get into anyones team, Would love to see him play with Torres and Gerrard. Reports and rumours suggest that this player will cost betweeen 17 and 22 million pounds to buy. Kun Aguero – Another world class striker, don't see this happening though as Eto'o would be the cheaper option and we can't afford both of them ! ! ! ! David Silva – This seems the most likely as Valencia C.F must sell due to there economic crisis. With all the spanish players would settle in quicker as well. Dont know how much he will cost. I do think this will be our summer "BIG BUY" though. David Villa to FCB.

Rangers have no money. they have already said 1) they need reduce the squad & wage bill. 2) they are skint and can only spend what they bring in.
3) there is almost no one said to be leaving who will be bought, who wants turkeys.

Celtic have much more money than Rangers, but seem to have trouble removing the biscuit tin mentality and just want stay a step in front of Rangers.

The experienced centre half Brian laws is looking for at Sheffield wednesday will be Darren ward from Wolves.

I totally agree with recent comments made about the people who post "Facts"! about transfer dealings and potential takeovers. Nobody knows for certain of any dealings untill the player in question signs the dotted line. Posts on this website are 90% "false!", random posts made up by people with little football knowledge. For example people who believe that there will be wholescale changes at man utd this season are clearly footballing stupid, why would man utd suddenly sign 10 players in the close season where they are likely to be champions of England and europe. The other 10% of posts on this website are "rumours!" hence the title of this website. These are neither fact or fiction but ideas or leaks from the club in question, they are accurate guesses on what may happen. However lets remeber that most of the time these rumours end up to be untrue.
I am not a big believer in rumours and often don't pay much attention to them untill a deal is actually signed. As a coventry City supporter for the last 8 years rumours have always been circulating from back in 2001 "chris Kirkland will not be leaving, he is about to sign a new contract." TO 2009 " Xabi Prieto is joining from Real Socieadad" the list can go on. Perhaps growing up as a die hard Coventry fan experiencing nothing but dissapointment with the occasional highs mixed with promise that rumours like these can give has left me more pesemistic about websites like these. However the only source as such i have ever heard from told me last year that he had seen Chris Coleman walking around the ricoh Arena, obviously as we know he then became manager (2 days after i had heard this rumour). It was great to actually tell people this rumour and find out 2 days later that it was true. Now as i have already stated i am ceptical of rumours however this source who so reliably gave me the info on Chris Colemans arrival two days before it was actually announced has been in contact with me again recently. He has told me that as a board room member he has heard whispers of a return for Gary Mcsheffery. Wonderfu news for most Coventry fans, it would be great to see the Macca back. I must admitt i am getting excited aboout this prospect coming from this reliable source. However i must also sress to my fellow coventry fans, this is stil just a rumour and i don't want to sound like a hypocrite by saying it will definitely happen. I just hope this can possibly provide the loyal City fans with some optimism in what has been tough times for us. Hopefully this will be a sign of a very promising summer for the sky Blues. Mixu Paatelainen is running the rule over former Hibee Barry Lavety with a view to signing him up for next season. Lavety has been training hard for three months in a last ditch attempt to revive his career. However, Mixu may not get the chance to sign his former team mate, as Rod Petrie was seen meeting with Egil Olsen in Leith on Tuesday.
