As a Manchester City supporter I am pleased that City have completed the signings of Wayne Bridge and Nigel de Jong. I'm not happy with the signing of Craig Bellamy who causes trouble wherever he goes. . personally I feel Mark Hughes could of found a better striker for the same price. Roque Santa Cruz is still on the books although City won't be overspending on the striker. Man City will only make 5 signings in this transfer window (including Santa Cruz) and are planning a big signing for the last couple of days of the January transfer market.

  Sunderland To Sign Cristophe Berra
And y Wud Kenwyne Jones Leave for 7 Mill Wen We Rejected A 14 Mill Offer Frm Tottenham
My brother in law has spoke to Jimmy Bullard and he has said that phil brown is looking to bring in a lot of players and hopes to break into europe very truthful so watch out for transfers at hull.
come on ARSENAL wenger is a gooner! so madrid can kiss ARSE!!!!!!!!
  Jason Scotland to Barnsley for £1.6. . . . .you're having a laugh Yorkie!

How about Jambo Berra to Sunderland as more credible story.
Heskey deal to villa done 3.5mil,signals the end of harewoods stink at v.p a deal with wolves is apparently being mentioned with kightly coming the other way. . Bullard gone to hull 5mil, n who ever thinks villa would sell c.davies for 1–2mil is deluded.
Croatia international Dino Drpic is about to sign for bristol city in a deal worth £250,000
I work as a stablehand in a well known stable in North Yorkshire and the owner has close friendships with a couple of prominent footballers in the North East who visit occasionally and the rumour i want to share is that Alan Shearer is seriously considering taking over at Newcastle. . he has had in–depth discussions at board level, and if the club is sold to the buyer who the board are claiming WILL buy it(behind closed doors), then he will take over in the summer of 09. This is why loan signings are the priority in this window as Shearer does not want to have a big clear–out of players on big money contracts before next season, and the whole "Kinnear offered lucrative contract" thing is just a smokescreen to try and calm the storm and steady the club. Obviously this, and of course Premiership survival is paramount, and one or two cheap(ish) proven players maybe signed to shore up the midfield/defence and to appease the fanbase. I've no idea who the potential buyers are or when exactly this will happen but apparently it will be well before the new season starts. I have read some of the rumours posted on this site, and never ever take any notice of the "my uncle lives next door to Ronaldo's mam and overheard the dog whispering to the cat" posts, but i think this has a bit more substance. . even though it is still just a rumour. . anything can happen in this game. .

LFC RUMOUR!!!! Liverpool are set to sign Anelka, Chelsea are trying to raise funds for manchester citys brazilain striker/winger robinho. robinho is unsettled and when he decided to leave madrid chelsea was his preferred destination. roman abramovich is not willing to invest any more money into the club as he wants to sell up, so the only way for chelsea to raise money is to sell. it has been speculated that a bid in the region of 10m will be accepted. it is no sectet that during his loan spell at Liverpool he wanted to stay and given the chance to play infront of reds faithfull again could be a offer he just can refuse. this deal is more likley to be completed in the summer, but expect other major clubs to be in for the in form man. Anelka & Torres upfront. very mouth watering. . SUNNY YNWA!!
Now we have signed Heskey the deal for Jovanovic may not go ahead but O'neill is still lookinat Charles N'Zogbia, and an unnamed center half due to laursens injury and Zat Knight not being good enough for first team regular football. Shorey may b alowed to leave if Bouma return before the end of the window
Aguero will play for liverpool one day that much is almost certain, however i doubt very much it will be this summer most likely looking like one more season in Spain. The only way Liverpool will sign anybody in January will be if major investent comes into the club (Kuwait). Rafa will stay, with parry moving into a new role with the F.A
David Moyes used to live in Bearsden before he moved south after playing for the Hoops.
Thats why he would be visiting the local school.
No way would he want to move to Rangers or probably Celtic as he is onto too good a number at Everton.
Anyway ,Rangers next boss will be McCoist as they are too skint to pay any compensation to any club whose manager they fancy.FACT.
  To the bloke that said
Jason Scotland (Swansea City) – Barnsley (£1.3m)

No chance! Scotland has scored 7 in his last 7, and even though some Swans fans don't rate him, he'd still command at least £2.25m
Now to some swans rumours.
Dimi Konstantopolous to make loan signing permanent
Nathan Dyer to stay til end of season, then sign permanently
Expect 4 Spaniards to come in at the end of the season; 1 Centre back, 1 Left back, 1 Winger and a Striker

Also, watch out for Joe Allen. . got the potential of Aaron Ramsey, and will play in the premiership one day

O and A with Martinez
Ok heres what i have learnt about the situation at Liverpool i am under the impression that the owners have narrowed the list of potential buyers for the club to just two, one from the UAE (Not Kuwait) and one from somewhere in Europe, liverpool will not sign anyone in january and unless significant incestment comes into the club then only a handful will be signed in the summer. If the yanks do find a buyer then Rafa will stay if not it's not looking promising. If anybody knows anymore then please post.
  Sunderland news
To the guy who said dean whitehead is my cousin! well your cousin is rubbish! not premeir standard, sell him on quinn said, i also said a cisse recommended player would come in, well 1 day later mbai said he would consider leaving marsielle, so i was right!!!!! look for murphy leaving to QPR and gorden poss a swap deal with evans (man u) either now or in the summer, nosworthy out by end of season prob to wolves. look for a big name coming in prob be midfield but a new commanding midfielder. watch this space. . . . sabragia looking at another strong forward for the summer poss kone(ivory coast)£6m from a german side

the whisperman
  Next few days yeah:

Andrei Arshavin (SS) Zenit St. Petersburg to Arsenal (12mil fee + possible add ons/extensions)

Ben Watson (CM/CAM) Crystal Palace to Wigan Athletic (2.2mil fee)

Mark Davies (CM) Wolverhampton Wanderers to Bolton Wanderers (1mil fee rising to 2mil, performance–based)

Micheal Nelson (CB) Hartlepool United to Leicester City (£600,000 fee rising to 1mil, performance–based)

Man City have bids prepared, for Miguel Veloso and for Roque Santa Cruz (again) but, because player values will be inflated where Abu Dhabi are invloved (and rightly so), bids of 19mil and 24.5mil respectively will be rejected by Sporting Lisbon and Blackburn Rovers. Thanks as ever for your time and kind consideration, if any.

Hammers are trying to get Joe Ledley buy offering players plus cash to Cardiff. Boa Morte, Davenport and Mullins are on offer
Hourau of PSG Possible target for Chelsea if Drogba leaves
Rafa will sell dossena keane and benayoun in the summer. . renato augusto will be bought for the money. . if the americans are still owners rafa will only afford to make two big signings as H/G have only promised a 15£m transfer budget the rest has to come from sales. .new potential owners are on the card and if they come then expect liverpool to move for glen johnson, renato and diego . . also a target man player is a posibility as well. rafa is looking at zigic . as for the contract situation rafa will leave liverpool as soon as his contract expires if the american owners remain. . new owners would probably se rafa sign a 5 year deal. . my source someone from the boardroom at anfield. .
Mourinho at the KOP. . . . . . , I laughed myself stupid. Your smoking crack mate. Mourinho will succeed SAF most likely if he doesn't get lured into the Citeh job first. Rafa to Citeh. . , still havent recovered from that.Maybe Real? But the Yanks will prob sell first and he will stay and RUN LFC. Do you even follow football? Have to agree as well that the arse that says Ballack to Celtic is exactly that and prob has NO idea about a damn thing let alone footy. Ballacks wages at Celtic? Please insert your head in the oven. Just had another chat with Fluffy, Wenger's cat, Tasci German CD from stuttgart,CD from Lazio (french) and Gervihno still on radar as well as Kuzmanovich(sp?) from Fiorentina or Rosina who maybe on the cheap after a loan was rejected by Torino but they are stuggling in a relegation battle, he is an EXCELLENT player. Also to the Arshavin doubters, think Rosicky but better and more fit. He is not just a flash in the pan he has had two quality seasons at Zenit and a Fantastic EURO. just like Rosicky? Do the research. Fluffy says Hi.
Liverpool FC takeover news: Liverpool will not be taken over by Al–Kharafi, instead this is just a rumour to bring other parties into the auction. DIC will now reinvest their interest and will be likely to become new owners of LFC now that Hicks and Gillete are ready to jump ship. This will not happen until after the transfer window though. The first thing on their agenda will be the new stadium, with all previous designs scrapped and a new design approved by DIC to be finalised. Ofcourse Liverpool will have additional funds in the summer and Benitez likely to be given full control over who he wants wearing the red of Liverpool. Likely signings would be; Aguero, a lifetime Liverpool supporter, as well as a world class right fullback with Sergio Ramos, Rafinha, Heitinga, Daniel Alves. They will also look at a right winger. MB
My cousin works down at craven cottage and leeds have said that fabian delph can talk to fulham and he was seen walking round the stadium as well as delph berra is down at the cottage as well as fulham strengthen squad after jimmy left

matt derbyshire is having medical and will be paraded before arsenal game tomorrow.sheff utd and norwich tried to get him,but hes excited about signing for cardiff, just hope is medical goes ok,he ll be cracking signing.
  LFC News.
I work for the company responsible for all audio visual equipment at Anfield and Melwood. I often get to hear some interesting gossip and have posted rumours twice before on this site –(Torres in Garcia out)(Sammy Lee returning)all before it became public knowledge.
The latest is a real bombshell, Rafa Benitez WILL definitely leave Anfield at the end of this season. It is well known that American Tom Hicks is negotiating the sale of the club but wanted to reward Rafa's "loyalty" by ensuring he had a long term, water tight contract. The problem is that the potential new owners will not sanction a deal to buy the club if all transfers go unsanctioned by a chief Exec (more than likely to not be Rick Parry).
Hicks has tried to give Rafa what he wants but now accepts that the sale of the club is more important to him than Benitez's contract.
The word is that Rafa will take the Real Madrid job in the summer and that potential managerial replacements are being sought by the current Anfield regime. The two names I have been told that talks have already taken place with are Marco Van Basten and Frank Riyjkard. Both have endeared themselves to the Anfield faithfull and the potential new owners.

Watch this space, all will be "leaked" by Benitez in the next couple of weeks
Nope i wasnt kidding when i said i was disappointed arsenal were signing arshavin (and the word wsa disappointed, not disgusted, theres a big big difference mate). true he was 6th in the Ballon d'or, but only for 3 mayb 4 good performances. to those who would point him out as one of the stars of euro 2008: he was banned for most of the group stage, had 2 decent performances, and then was anonymous against spain. with zenit he was probably their best player, but even that is not arsenal standard. the guy is only interested in his pocket, he may do a job whilst fabregas is injured, but what after fab returns? arshavin won't get into to the team. with walcott, rosicky, fabregas to return from injury, with nasri on fire, with a good DCM set to arrive in the summer, where would arshavin fit in? up front? no way, not ahead of ade or RVP, eduardo is back from injury, forget bendtner, and vela would move up front with the return of armand traore. thus my argument is: to pay around £15m for a late 20s player who has had a couple of notable performances to plug a whole in midfield for a few months is just not the arsenal way. if we were signing him on loan i wouldn't have had a problem. but whats happening is arsene is eating into his summer budget for a player who will only temporarily b gracing the pitch. all arsenal fans will hopefully agree that changes (denilson, eboue, bendtner, mayb gallas if he wants to go) are going to be needed.
if of course, arshavin flourishes at arsenal i will humbly eat my words, but don't count on that happening.
Liverpool are planning a summer raid on Spain, again! A massive bid of £20 million plus Kuyt for Aguero and £10.5 million plus Lucas for Javi Martinez. Rafa is also hoping to get Lennon from Spurs but only if price is right. If Agger goes to AC then Michael Turner will be his replacement. Expect Pacheco to get his chance next season with N'gog set to make more starts too. Liverpool will walk the league next seaon, the question is will they be defending their title.
Martin Taylor will sign on loan for Cardiff in time to face Arsenal in the fa cup
To the person who said cutis davies to everton for 1–2 mil are u insane villa only brought him in the summer making his loan permanent, paying 8 mil for him, potentialy a sucesseor to rio and terry MON wouldn't even contemplate selling him 4 less tham 15 mil. villa are a side without a need to sell to buy unlike most clubs in the EPL.

now 4 real rumours involving villa:

MON looking at the possibility of sturridge from man city, has been told to wait till robinho is sorted out 1st.

villa looking at the option of bringing in diego to relieve the pressure on parry in the center of the park.

villa till i die!!!
David Moyes just signed a five year extension to his contract on October last year, so there is no chance he will be leaving to go to either half of the old firm. Furthermore, Ally McCoist will be the next manager at Rangers when Walter Smith steps down, or should i say steps up as it is belived he will become Director of Football and help Ally during his first tenure as the gaffer.
  Arsenal News

This is not a rumour but fact. Rosicky will return to Arsenal at some stage, reason his return is long awaited with so many injury set backs is because he failed a drugs test and got bannned, this is being covered up by Arsenal through injuries so the media doesn't have a field day with Arsenal.
Only 1 signing will be made in January and that is Arshavin. no other signings will be made, FACT!!!
  TO CITD

Youv'e not quite grasped what my fellow blue was saying. That clause meant that any club who wanted him would only have to meet that price. Hamburg could not have asked for more otherwise the clause would be pointless. City have just paid about 12 million more than you would have had to in the summer, and you probably still would have been able to buy him anyway because of the wages you offer. Any club who matched the clause would have been able to speak to de jong and no –one would have been asked to pay more than the clause value.

In short just like bellamy you have paid way over the odds for another player.
Milton Keynes Dons are hoping to sign Eduardo on a loan deal from Arsenal to progress his recovery

Crabby
West Ham to sign 35yr old inter centre forward J Cruz on loan.
MICAH RICHARDS– JOINS WEST HAM– £7.4 MILLION.
Man City player Micah Richards is a target for West Ham and is most likely to join them this week for around £7.4 million. I know Micah`s family well and the last time I spoke to he`s cousin he said he needs to move on from man city as he is no longer a automatic first team choice and he knows (micah) for a fact the club have agreed to sign a world class C.D. The player C.D. man city want to sign I have heard plays in spain. and Micah wants to move to booster he`s chances for the World cup 2010.
Right then. . . to the fool who decided to have a pop at my post with this rather pointless reply. . "To the Everton fan who said that De Jong could have been bought for £2.38million in the summer. . that was the clause in his contract that would have been activated. . . do you seriously think that only City would have then been after him. . it would have been an auction between several clubs for a player that is a 24 year old Dutch International. . . maybe even Everton could have mustered a bid of £10million for him before dropping out of the race to sign him !!!
CTID
" NO. I don't think it would have been just City in for him. I don't think I made that point in my post, so what you on about????? Even in the summer, City`s ability to offer ludicrous wages may well have tempted him. My point was that they decided to pay EIGHT times his value in the summer to land him in January. He may be a "Dutch International" but with no premiership experience, its a big risk for that sort of sum. As for Everton "mustering a bid of 10 million" for him, that's a bit unlikely, cause only GRADE A MUPPETS would pay anything over the 2.38 million that he`d cost. A "release clause" is just that. Any club that offered 2.38 million would be allowed to hold negotiations with him. Where you got the idea of a bidding war from is just beyond me. He would have gone to the team which was the most appealing. Hamburg couldnt turn a 19 million pound bid for him. Noone could especially if they would only get 2.38M in the summer. They aren`t stupid like a certain bunch of owners we are hearing about day in day out. I`m still looking at your post trying to figure out what your point is but I cant. If your going to comment on my posts, at least make it worth reading. As for my beloved Toffees, not much transfer activity, although the Almeida rumour is gathering a bit of pace as he`s alleged to have been on the phone with Nuno Valente asking about Everton. Dont know if that means he`ll come but I`m sure Nuno only has good things to say about Everton.
Anton Ferdinand is a transfer Target for Arsenal.
To the Everton fan who said that De Jong could have been bought for £2.38million in the summer.

This is incorrect that was De Jongs old contract he signed a new one year extension in December which removed this clause – as usual the press are not letting the facts get in the way of a good story – a story that is not true.
Arsenal shud buy a holding midfieldr sum1 like Appiah whos free or Veloso. . . .Viera and Gilberto r really missd. . . we also need a gud goalkeepr plz Almunia sux and evry1 nos. . . .wat about Diego Lopez of Villareal or Manuel Neuer of Schalke. . . Micah Richards is unsetteled wy not move 4 him. . . . . . . . last but not least. . . . .a striker who doesn't miss 5 chances and score the 6th. . . .Ade's old sell him 2 Milan use da cash for Tevez or Gomis or Lavezzi. . . . . . . . . Yoann Gourcuff wud be a wondrful accuistion. . . . . .Oh God! My ArsenalFC discover oil under The Emirates Stadium!
Hearts fans stop talking rubbish. It's a well known fact your club has no money to spend on players (As stated by your own manager) some of the names been branded on here are nothing but cringeworthy to say the least to think of any of these players going to a debt ridden club is making us poorless.

Real facts. Steven Fletcher of Hibs to sign for either Newcastle or West Ham before the window closes for 4 million. Rob Jones to Nottingham Forest for 1.5 million. And any Huns think they are getting Dean Shiels forget it. He is signing for Hibs this week, Hibs will also complete the signing of Berger this week.

[editor's note – for those that complained about the use of the word huns – it was the english press in 1969 who branded rangers fans 'huns' when they wrecked newcastle town centre. the headline of the day was "they came over the border like a hoard of maurading hun's" it is not a sectarian term just one jumped on by opposition fans to wind up rangers fans]
  Hi.

watch out for man city to buy tevez and in return allow man utd 1st preference on robinho. .

liverpool are set to sign a new striker who is proven in the prem league ––– none other than martins of newcastle

scousers!!!!!!
  Norwich City News!

Gunns first piece of business as Norwich City manager will be to plug up the leaky defence he will start with a young Aussie just back from injury at Fulham, and if that fails expect Darren Powell who has just left Derby to turn up on a free transfer.
Ched Evans has met with Gunn about a possible loan deal until the end of the season, Evans was keen although Celtic and Sheffield United may nick him from under the canaries noses with a £2 Million bid.
Expect Andy Bishop to arrive from Bury for about £200,000, Luke Daley will move the other way in an unrelated loan move.
Another striker will follow on deadline day in the shape of Leroy Lita should a buyer not be found before then. Lita has already made it quite clear that he loves Nofolk and the Norwich City fans, Reading will look to offload the striker however should Lita not find a club or a new contract before deadline day Readings hand may be tempted by a £300,000 bid or a season long loan until his contract expires plus a fee of around £250K.
Apart from the fees I have already mentioned, Norwich can not afford to buy therefore despite fans hatred of the loan market since Glenn Roeders exploits Gunn will have to rely mainly on loan recruits, a couple should appear before the end of the window with Gunn using his Manchester United contacts to bring in a youngster and Martin Taylor will join from Birmingham.
You heard it hear first, Dont believe me? Just watch!

Big changes coming at liverpool. Talk of rafa leaving are absolute rubbish. He loves life in england as do his family so why would he give it all up to go to real when he would be out of a job in 18 months. More importantly when the takeover happens, which it will, expect aguerro, silva, barry and bentley. I personally can't wait to get rid of the the lieing feuding yanks.
