The news about Nasser Al Kharafi making a renewed bid for liverpool seems very likey now , RBS and wakovia are putting severe pressure on hicks and gillet to pay 100mill in the next couple of weeks so they may cut their losses and sell up for about 350–400 million, deal likely to done before the end of season .this guy is the 48th richest person in the world so if deal does go ahead good times could be back at the red half of merseyside. Nottingham Forest update. according to vitals ITK member RedSpark also known as – the Cretin – Forest will not be signing any of the three they are signing but aren't signing. Guinless who mods the site has confirmed that none of the three they are not signing will not be available for Monday. One perhaps is a leftback. Meanwhile oldjon has spoken to a guy called Bill who reckons Forest have signed Owen Hargreaves on loan whilst sashaalex who definately isn't a forest employee thinks that billy has chosen the wrong targets we aren't signing because his transfer targets are as bad as his tactics. Saphead saphic has spoken to the neighbour who disagreed and said that three out of four players are likely to sign too late, but fans prefer them. But it is definately the Cretin with the best news – he rules. Hugh Jafink

Simon is not getting any wage money so expect nobody to come in on loan.

We've got ourselves a hotel to build!

I know the head groundsman at Elland Road and he told me that Michael Brown of Portsmouth is due for a medical tomorrow and will sign until the end of the season.

24 Mar 2010 20:49:03
Today the news broke that portsmouth were legible to start selling there squad.the majority of the squad must go as there wages will be too high 4 a club who will b playin championship football next year.

david james will be available on a free and there will be no shortage of takers.

wilson will sign for sunderland for aroud 3 million.

belhadji could be at liverpool or man city next season if he doesn't opt 4 abroard.

michael brown is off to wolves for 1million along with hayden mullins for a similar fee.

ben haim will move back to bolton where he started his career in england for around 2 million.

kevin prince boateng will move abroard or to fulham in a 4 million deal.

24 Mar 2010 20:39:55
Paul scharner will be on the move to london in the summer with fulham having agreed a deal in principle to sign the austrian versatile defender/midfielder.he is available on a free transfer as his contract at wigan is up in the sumer.scharner is only 1 of many wigan players bein tipped to move.there has been pretty firm interest in upto 5 of there stars.james mcarthy having only signed in the summere is bein watchd by several top clubs.diame who hiself admitted tht wigan is there to be a stepping stone in his career might get the big move earlia than expected with man.city and arsenal closly monitoring him.hugo rodallega and charles nzogbia are also wanted men, liverpool have been linkd to both players.lastly despite signing an improved contract any this season maynor figueroa may also jump ship to a bigger prem club.

2 players i know martinez wants are another palace youngster nathanijl clyne and tottenhams jamie ohara.

24 Mar 2010 20:13:42
Clint dempsey could move to man utd in the summer.talk of 8 million and a possible loan deal involving either gibson or fabio silva to fulham for the season could happen.its more advanced than is known.

joe cole has today ruled out italy.that leaves only utd, city, arsenal or 1a the 2 big spanish clubs that can afford his wages.arsenal are not intersted nor are barcelona who will sign valencias david silva.real have been credited with a slight interest and havent ruled out making a move but he is no wear near there top interst.david villa, frank ribery and jesus navas are all infront of him in tht pecking order.that leaves the manchester boys and if fergie wants he will get.the michael owen deal last year proves that fergie would deffinetly be up 4 the free signing.if not city will sign cole on big wages.its upto joe where he feels rite

24 Mar 2010 20:25:34
After a string of top performances of late, and fast becoming a big talent sum of the premier league managers av been courtin wigan midfielder james mcarthy.its bein tipped that arsenal, liverpool, everton and tottenham are very intersted in this player.

24 Mar 2010 20:06:34
The 'Special One' has been tipped to depart the San Siro at this term's end, with Real Madrid and Manchester City also believed to be pursuing his services. Despite being interested in a potential job at Anfield, it is claimed that the Nerazzurri boss has no intention of plying his trade under the club's current owners: Tom Hicks and Geroge Gillett. Moreover, it is believed that Mourinho will require guarantees with regard to funding and ownership if he is to take to the helm of the Kop club.

The club is reportedly in talks with the Rhone Group over a £100 million investment into the club, which will likely see Hicks and Gillett taking a back seat as the controlling stake would be held by the Rhone Group.

24 Mar 2010 19:56:42
I have it on good authority that Falkirk striker Enoch Showunmi will make an emotional return to Leeds on loan for the rest of the season as part of a desperate attempt to get the Whites' season back on track.

24 Mar 2010 19:59:54
Gareth bale is being watched frequently by real madrid scouts and is bein tipped to move to the spanish capital in the summer.
young full back emanuelle mbola has been signed up by spurs already and will grow into the team over the next few years .

YNWA – whilst I like your thinking on the Mourinho/Cole post I disagree. Taiwo is a Rafa target – he's seen as a left sided Glen J to put it crudely. Kjaer and Turan have both put out come & get me calls but that doesn't make them certs. Kjaer's backtracked a bit hasn't he, asking for a big wage. Whilst I get the Cole/TSO reunion, I'm not certain its a banker either. I think to get TSO in, LFC's owners (whoever they may be) will have to have a serious bit of dosh on the table, and therefore he may set his sights higher than that talented but not fearsome group you suggest. I would expect them to bring in 4 – 6 big names (2 of which would count as home grown) plus a new backup GK, more cover at RB and CD and some more youthful talent in attacking roles.big name possibles – Higuan, Aguero, Barry, simao (?)

TSO's never filled his squad with spaniards has he? So doubtfull on Villa/Silva

I think your list of outs was oretty spot on. I also think chances of TSO joing LFC aren't that great, more's the shame

To the following poster:
"News will break in the next few days that Liverpools owners have just two weeks to pay 100m back to the RBS and they are are hoping to complete a takeover sale to Nasser Al Kharafi for £300m"

I don't mean to offend in anyway but just wanted to know if you have any further information on where this particular info is stemming from?
I understand that RBS are reuiring a minimum of £100 million by June, and friends of mine at the Bank have highlighted that they will seek to try and get as much as £150 million.

24 Mar 2010 18:59:54
I know someone well connected with Derby County and the rumour on here yesterday about robbie savage as player/ manager arnt wide of the mark..the parachute payment will end shortly and DCFC will have to cut their cloth even further, expect another one of savages ex mates to join aswell, ex wales star glyn hodges.
The american owners however will cut back on the free tickets that are given out on match days, as the 3, 500 season ticket holders are angry that they are the ones paying for it

LEEDS UNITED TRANSFER NEWS

I have it on good authority from a source close to the club that Leeds will sign two players on loan on Thursday before the loan window shuts. The two players concerned are Paul Hartley of Bristol City who will stay for the rest of the season and then sign on a free transfer in the summer and Sylvan Ebanks Blake from Wolverhampton Wanderers. If Leeds are promoted a deal is in place to sign Blake in a deal that will see Robert Snodgrass move to Wolves. Leeds will also pay a fee of £500k.

Finally Leeds will sign both Darren Carter from Preston and Rhema Obed from Arsenal in the summer, both deals alrady agreed.

To the unsigned who wrote: "Sharkey don't you read the papers or watch television Landon Donovon has stated that the only club in England he would play for is Everton as he really enjoyed himself at the club also would'nt return to germany because he never felt wanted you really need to get your facts right lad".
Sadly you did not read my post. What I said was that the MLS have been approached by two clubs who have shown an interest in Landon Donovan. What I guess that you do not know is that contracts for all MLS players are held centrally by the MLS and not by the club that the player represents. The news actually came from a Galaxy staffer who was here in Palm Springs with two injured players who are finishing there recouperation before the weekend's game – which I will attend using my press pass – which may provide the necessary hint that I do indeed keep up with the news. Sharkey (Palm Springs, California).

To:
Utd team for next season–

Vds

Rafael–Vidic–Ferdinand–Evra

Nani–Carrick–Moutinho–Silva

Rooney–Villa
Subs:–
1.Zieler
2.Brown
3.Beckham
4.Hargreaves
5.Fletcher
6.Torres
7.Valencia

You cannot play two strikers and four attacking midfielders, Fletch or Hargo would have to replace Carrick, you need a defensive midfielder in every team! also United to buy Villa, Torres, Moutinho & Silva! not a chance and as a United fan i can comfortably say, Rodwell, will come in and either Di Maria or Silva maybe! though i would be happy with Joe Cole, Rodwell & Smalling as our new arrivals?

24 Mar 2010 17:32:33
While we're on the subject of David Pleat and Nottingham Forest its worth adding that he was at the Chelsea v Inter game the other night. Could he have been scouting for Forest? Or he could have been there in his role as 'tactical analyst' for the Guardian newspaper where he writes a piece 3 or 4 times a week covering all the CL games and some PL matches?

24 Mar 2010 16:52:39
Rafa benitez will leave liverpool in the summer , jose mourinho will become the next manager he will make 4 major singings

There seems to be a surge of interest in the "free" transfer of Joe Cole to Liverpool. What cost that transfer? Well, Cole earns about £80k a week at Chelsea – he won't want to lose that. His representatives will also be seeking a signing on fee – and this should not be underestimated. They will look for something like £6 M spread over three years. Can Liverpool afford to take an £18M risk on a player who has failed to return to his best form after nearly a year out injured? Sharkey.

24 Mar 2010 16:36:40
Not a rumour, but a comment on the rumours on this site about Notts Forest and Gareth Bale. All the talk about Forest being "offered" Gareth Bale has been proven to be fantasy. David Pleat says in an interview on the BBC that even with his contacts at Spurs they could not get a deal going because he was far too costly. We wouldn't sell Bale to AC Milan for eu10m in the summer, why would we offer him to two–bob Forest? Here's a rumour for you, there's an election in May ;)

Bristol city reportedly looking at shrewton young goalkeeper charles aldridge, minimal fee but looks a promising talent. Meanwhile Tottenham to sign:
– Eidur Gudjohnsen (permanent)
– Sandro (Done deal)
– Joe Cole (doubtful)
– Chris Eagles (possible)or Graham Dorrans from west brom, one of the two.
– Darijo Srna
Players leaving will be Robbie Keane, Alan Hutton, Jermaine Jenas, Jamie o'Hara (unfortunately) and a couple of fringe/reserve players COYS

Arsenal news:

fabregas is to be offered another new contract at the end of the season to ward off barca interest. this time a release clause of £90m will be added. should barcelona nevertheless choose to match that valuation, wenger will demand Yaya Toure, Bojan and £45m for cesc.
should this happen, wenger will use the income to sign replacements. the shortlist includes joann gourcuff, franck ribery and marko marin. eden hazard would also be brought with the money.
if the cesc deal does not happen, arsene will have £40m to spend, owing to the sales of adebayor and toure, and profits accumulated over the past few seasons. fabianski will leave for £3m, and silvestre, senderos and merida will go for free. gallas will sign a new one year deal plus the option of another year should he play enough games. sol campbell will be retained as 5th choice CB, after which he will retire and join the defensive coaching staff. j simpson will mone permanently to QPR for £4m. kerrea gilbert will be released as he is 23 and is not good enough for the first team. mannone, eduardo, eastmond and vela will be sent out on loan. a work permit for galindo will be applied for, but it will probably get rejected.
coming in for sure is chamakh. manuel neuer will join as GK for £9m and arsene will try again to sign felipe melo, for £11m. eboue will permanently move up the field, so van der Wiel will be signed for £8m tp provied competition for sagna. he can play across the back four, thereby providing versatility. mamadou sakho will also be signed for £7 + Armand traore.

summary (assuming cesc stays): out: fabianski £3m, silvestre, senderos, merida (all free), simpson £3m, gilbert released, vela, eduardo, mannone, eastmond (all loan), traore p/e.
in: neuer £9m, chamakh (free), melo £11m, van der Wiel £8m, sakho £7m + traore.

tabs are being kept on: tasci, aczilipueta, zapata, dzeko, moussa aissoko, lloris, caceres, toulalan and senna.

squad: neuer, almunia, szczesny
sagna, vdwiel, gallas, vermaelen, sakho, djourou, campbell, clichy, gibbs

I got called a derby fan last week for saying no one would sign. Yet looks like I'll be right, Earnshaw isn't leaving, he's just had a baby, his family are settled in the midlands so he wouldn't leave for the toon, also no left backs are really available to the quality of what billy wants. You have till thursday to prove me wrong. No doubt we'll be linked to Shorey and probably Dani Alves. Thanks. Thom

HIBERNIAN FC NEWS..

After the cup loss to Ross County and the loss to Hearts everything at Easter Road is not well, chairman Rod Petrie has had a massive bust up with manager John Hughes and player Derek Riordan, the fallout with Petrie could spell the end of John Hughes short managerial career at Hibs and Riordan will be sold as soon as anyone shows interest.

My source at the Edinburgh club has told me that more than half of the players don't get on with Hughes anymore after an argument between himself and Derek Riordan broke out at the end of last year and he has now lost the dressing room, chairman Petrie is so irate with the situation that it looks like this could be the end for John Hughes, rumour is that Petrie and the Hibs Board have decided that ex manager Bobby Williamson who is having a sucssesful stint as coach of the Ugandan national team may be the answer..

THE BIG MAN (always in the know)

24 Mar 2010 07:29:52
Rangers summer signings are Swanson of Dundee Utd, McArthur of Hamilton, Wallace of Hearts and Reynolds of Motherwell. All depending on Rangers bringing in cash and the transfer fees for each player being under a million. Beasley and Broadfoot will be offered new contracts.

Mourinho talked with David Gill after Inters defeat to United last season with a view to becoming United's next manager when Sir Alex decides to step down. Talks are ongoing as a number of details have yet to be finalised.
Sir Alex Ferguson is only looking at English players due to threatened rule changes in Europe and only Joe Cole, Ashley Young and James Milner have been identified by Sir Alex as future United targets.

24 Mar 2010 01:47:16
Manchester United.

If United win the league it has been rumoured strongly that Sir Alex Fergusen will retire. Four titles in succession will be enough to see him walk away proud. Plus the fact he will have taken United's tally to 19 league wins, one more then Liverpool. With that being said, I've heard that his replacement will be the man known as "The Special One – Jose Mourinho" He has state for many years that he would love follow the unwalkable path set by Fergusen at United. This man loves nothing more then a challenge, & with three league titles back to back (possibly four) & quite possibly three Champions league finals appearences in as many years, who would want to take up that challenge? Mourinho, that's who.
Exspect the old guard to make way with Neville and Scholes also retiring at the end off this season.
Ryan Giggs & Edwin Van Der Sar to see out one more season.
With Mourinho being the manager that he is it will be hard to keep your spot in the team unless your at your best at all times.
Anderson will be shown the door.
The injury ravaged Owen Hargreaves & Micheal Owen will be each given one more season to prove there worth.
Now that Nani is finally showing signs of actually having skills, that on top of the fact that Mourinho could turn the boy into a world beater, will see him staying in Red for awhile yet.
If Real Madrid want Nemanja Vidic, then it seems like it will be 10million pounds + Higuain. With Higuain and Ronaldo having what the tabloids are calling a "Bust Up??" Well if it is true Higuain wil be almost 99% out the door, why? Well Ronaldo is making Madrid millions through shirt sales and advertising. Higuian has proved his worth at Madrid & can play up front as a striker or could be used wide in a void potenticaly left by Giggs once he hangs up his boots.
Transfer wise I'd exspect Fergusen's intrest in Steven Defour will see him joining for around 16 million pounds & having him filling Scholesy's shoes.
With Chris Smalling coming in from Fulham at the seasons end, I'd can see Johnie Evans having to step up & partener Rio Ferdinand in central defence. He has proven himself time & time again in the absence of the two main men, I feel this could be his time to shine.
Igor Akinfeev will be available on a free transfer in January of 2011, so United may keep that gap open for him.

Great news that the MLS contract situation has been resolved. There are very strong rumours that both Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Fulham have enquired with the MLS over Landon Donovan's contract. Landon currently has more than three years to run on his contract with options for off–season loans – but the enquiries are for a transfer at the end of the world cup. Sharkey

To all those LFC fans out there please take heart. I know it's a bit hard right now! I posted last week all that I could find out from the media and internet as well as looking up these potential buyers, they don't have any money, that's not their game, they are a management company, they manage other investors money. One of their biggest accounts is DIC! You can look it up if you want, some alluminium company.

The fourth richest man in the world who makes Man City's owners look like peasants (sorry I had to get that one in!). This is looking more and more like a hostile take over – of sorts – I'm not going into it all again but rest assured, this IS an exciting time for LFC, for good or for ill, but nether the less we are all watching this massive battle for control unravel in front of our eyes!! Cool!!

On transfers, I said that a couple of my friends where from Spain, Real supporters, and they said watch out for Higuain coming to LFC on the cheap, I was shot down by some moron, but that story is hotting up more and more on a daily basis!! Especially in Spain!! And YES on the cheap. Also it is interesting that David Villa is saying the exact same lines as Torres? As with Torres there will be no bidding war, he knows where he wants to go.

But here's a thought for you all to ponder, why has Masch and Pepe signed new deals?? They can go to any club in the world and walk straight into the first team starting line up? What has given them confidence in LFC?? The new investors? maybe???
