I'm hearing HULL CITY are hopeful of tying up a loan deal for the rest of the season for NICK POWELL from Man Utd. should be confirmed by wednesday

26 Aug 2013 12:05:47
Hull already have Livermore and Graham on loan deals. I think you can only have 2 domestic loans?

Rubbish. You are allowed 2 domestic loans. These spots have been filled by livermore and graham.

If you're trying to prove someone wrong atleast get the facts right you are only allowed 2 players on loan over the age of 21 you can have as many as you want under that

You do know Powell is 22?

You can only have two players on loan, their age is irrelevant.

25 Aug 2013 23:13:04
According to reports Southampton are after Valencia winger Pablo Piatti

25 Aug 2013 22:11:12
Bristol City trying to sign Callum Wilson from Coventry.

Not a chance under contract until 2017. young and scoring for fun.2million upwards.

Not a chance why would he move on already Coventry through n through

Coventry City, Rumoured To Be Interested In Taking Nouha Dicko On A Season Long Loan From Wigan

Record

Strasbourg B 12 in 42
Strasbourg 0 in 3
Wigan 0 In 0
Blackpool 9 In 32 (Loan)
Wolves 1 In 4 (Loan)

Blackpool is the one he is considering but unlikely as His gf doesn't fancy leaving coventry

£2M UPWARDS! Don't be absurd, he's scored 6 goals in about 10 3rd Division games in his whole career.

Your right, 2 million is absurd as he is only under contract till end of season. But what else is absurd is the idea of a sideways move to an under performing poor Blades team.

Look at this,http://tinyurl.com/pp9bdz3 , its actually more like 3m and rightly so. Anyone remember sturridge now at chelsea!!!. Not for sale
.

Just spoken to his friend and he says he (WILSON) has had his wages cut 50% this season and he is fed up with the situation at Coventry, so he wants to move but it is his misses who is keeping him at Coventry at the moment as she does not want to leave. Friend was at the acadamey with Wilson, so very reliable

PA load of rubbish what you have just said, wages have not been cut and he says he loves playing for his hometown club

Right how do you know, I have a friend who was with him at the acadamey and was with Clarke and Bigi and Thomas, he knows them all and is good friends with them, he was let go at 16 with Coleman in charge. I don't know why you think you know more on this subject and have the cheek to call me a liar

Just been informed from a reliable source that Boro have enquired about Federico Macheda from Man U. Mogga believes that he would be a good addition and would be good at this level.

Macheda and becchio is on

Doubt We'd sign Macheda and Becchio probably be one or the other.

I would welcome those two utb

Macheda played a full season out on loan last season and scored once he's not what we need

Cattermole had passed the medical middlesbrough have to agree the financial package although the 50% wage is to high, hull are also not willing to pay 50% macheda has been offered on a season loan but the player would rather stay in italy than drop to the champion ship

Wouldn't want him at the Boro. Big ego and no goals to show for it. Wrong attitude for championship, we need proven championship strikers who will take the rough and tumble. JM

Welles please mogga

Becchio & Wells would be good! We don't need Cattermole! Can't see it happening, but would be nice!

26 Aug 2013 19:49:10
Still looks like Becchio & McCormack

Mogga needs to get a move on cause it will take a long time to finalise deals so hurry up mogga!!

26 Aug 2013 20:07:34
Not going to happen, haven't got a very good relationship with the boro fans anymore, besides we need a CB, and 2 strikers ASAP!

Just been told by a reliable source that boro have enquired about adam le fondre have had a bid accepted for becchio signed a free agent david gigliotti and are enquiring about a tenacious striker/winger noble-lazarus

I don't mind Ross Maccormack but for me he's another emnes brilliant on his day but goes missing too much and has a very bad fitness record I'd much rather use whatever money we have on a proven striker at this level and for me look no further than billy sharp lethal finisher and would feed of the juke a treat doubt it will happen as Mowbray is blind when it comes to the obvious LM

Hopefully someone comes in soon, as i'm getting a little inpatient! think its about time we had someone to talk about that is coming to the boro, and not a we tried situation, bringing back the fans means bringing in the players.

Beginning to look like no further buys - surprise surprise, the warning signs are there, comments like "no panic buys" TM and "if we can keep everyone fit we are a match for anyone" RW. They must think we are all stupid, of course we need more players and we will lose players to injury and suspension. Another poor message sent out by the club. Does anyone else think that we should be aiming a little higher than "gatecrashing the play-offs", whatever happened to starting the season looking for promotion. Also how much scrap metal must we have - all those irons in the fire going cold. What happened to Ayala?

I heard the rumour about Gigliotti from a former team-mate of his

Boro are useless we never sign anyone we need people like david gigliotti conor casey and appiah-kubi all pacey and clinical especially gigliotti who also has flair

I agree get a pacy goalscorer in

25 Aug 2013 21:13:29
Arsenal to make a move for Belgium defender Toby Alderweireld of Ajax.

25 Aug 2013 19:46:41
Liverpool will make a final offer to Sporting Lisbon for Tiago Ilori in the final days of the transfer window.

Brendan Rodgers has tried to land the defender all summer but has been left frustrated.

Sporting will only do business at around the £8.5m mark whilst liverpool view him at around the 6 mark.

25 Aug 2013 19:38:21
chelsea set to complete there spending with a double swoop from anzhi to complete there squad. att midfielder willian and veteran striker samuel etoo are on there way to the bridge.
victor moses is wanted by everton and westbrom

Rumoured that moses is expected to sign for liverpool

26 Aug 2013 09:40:43
Moses won't join West Brom but Lukaku will return, SC will sign the winger from Marsaille, as an alternative to Moses so that the loan system that West Brom is not compromised. The Lukaku deal all rests on E, eto and another big name striker signing for Chelsea. Rooney?

I can't see that happening tbh rumour is now that its amalfitano, Jordan Ayew and Nicklas bendtner (anelkas replacement)

Cannot see how Bendtner would be an asset to the Baggies

Anelkas replacement obviously

I agree bednter would not be grest for us. Moses would be a fantastic signing however and shouldn't take too long to adjust.

25 Aug 2013 19:36:25

paris defender sakho is in talks with arsenal and man city

25 Aug 2013 18:11:18
Lee cattermole set for sensational return to middlesbrough, terms agreed and deal will be completed this week, tony Mowbray set to complete his transfer business with Luciano becchio and Bradford hotshot nakhi wells, outgoings this week will be Justin hoyte, faris haroun and marvin emnes

I'll be happy with wells and luciano, can't see another def mid coming in thou, those out goings could happen thou.

Leadbitter to Forest is the only way we would try and get Catts. Mogga has said he wants to keep Leadbitter so I can't see this happening, unless they offer £3M.

Dont believe the tabloids

Rubbish to the Cattermole story. Poor reputation with the club, and even if we were interested, Brace (at Hull) would be straight in with a better bid.

26 Aug 2013 10:48:27
Wells and bechio not heard cattamole rumour

Just drop this Wells fantasy. Note to all references to Wells equal nonsense made up post. Bradford have officially announced that they will not consider any offers for Wells so close to the window closing. With 6 goals so far and Bradford going well to get promoted Wells is going nowhere.

Nahki wells is not for sale. steve parkin said so. so stop putting this rubbish up about him moving. he is a city player and will play out his contract

If boro put a big enough offer in wells would be available let's be honest

In pre season, the city board said that it would take silly money for them to consider an offer for Wells and now is no different, however, you can bet your life that given the start Wells has made to the season with 6 goals in 5 that 'silly money' has sky rocketed. I reckon at the start of the season the club would have accepted £2.5m, now it's more likely to be over £5m

If wells does go in this window I can't see where the goals are going to come from for city!

Why can't you see where the goals will come from? We have hanson, connell, Mcburnie, De Vita, thomson and gray when he's back

Hanson scored 15 last year connell scored 8, mcburnie untried, gray not had a good scoring record for 3 seasons, thompson scored 6 last year. we would struggle to get goals if Wells went.

Mcburnie is 17 and no where near first team ready. Gray is awful. Connell + Hanson would never work together. De Vita is a winger. Those lot couldn't combine to score as many as wells would. And i'm a bradford fan

If he was to be sold we would be replacing him with someone else from this league or better

Hanson has lots of attributes, but being a regular goalscorer isn't one of them. Connell has yet to prove he will step forward and remember that neither PP or Di Canio trusted him to lead the line. As for the others, are you joking? McBurnie is a kid learning his trade. He won't get a start this season never mind filling Wells' boots. !

Don't be so naive to suggest McBurnie is either too young or that he won't get a chance. He's the next hot property to come through the City ranks, hence the 3 year deal offered to him recently. I don't however suggest he should be a factor in deciding whether or not to sell Wells but I don't buy the 'untried' 'too young' or 'not ready' nonsense. I have a feeling we'll see him in a City shirt as early as next week in the tin pot cup but I don't think it will be too long before he pulls on a City shirt. As for Wells, his value is raising on a daily basis and the 'silly money' that we would accept for him has surely risen from when that statement was made 2-3 months ago. I doubt he'll go for less than £5m and if Harry is seriously in for him, then that's a possibility and before anyone starts crying or adding their expertise on what a footballer is worth, then bear in mind anything is only worth what someone is willing to pay and that applies to anything. If I were City, I'd start scouting the Coventry front pairing and sign them both possibly offering both Gray and Connell in p/x plus with their finances, it surely wouldn't cost too much to sign them!

25 Aug 2013 14:58:43
Valencia goalkeeper Vicente Guaita is going to arsenal by the end of this week. Apparently Wenger has been tracking him a long time and has had a bid accepted by Valencia

He's not. Arsenal have not made a serious offer (Valencia will not even consider selling him for less than 20 million Euro, and don't HAVE to unless it's 30, his get-out clause). Superdeporte today says that Arsenal have withdrawn their interest.

25 Aug 2013 15:49:57
Teemu Pukki has agreed to join Glasgow Celtic today

25 Aug 2013 15:35:04
Bristol city to sign nicky shorey on 1 year deal! Also they are in talks with coventry over the signing of Leon Clarke!

Clarke is going nowhere and under contract.

25 Aug 2013 09:25:31
Arc Wimbledon striker Charlie Strutton is being lined up as a loan target for non-league side Tamworth

Any news from the friend who works at Merton Council about our new ground
its nearly end of August :-)

A few minor developments but the main one is that Phascal Taggart who wants to build a new greyhound stadium there, looks to have given up on his hopes of building a new stadium as the council have said that AFC Wimbledon having a new stadium is more likely. All pointing in the right direction and hopefully in about a month we should know something. Really hope we get back to Plouh Lane though

25 Aug 2013 16:31:06
Francois Zoko to train with Carlisle United this week are being told he can leave Notts County.

He will sign until the end of the season with an option of a further year, based upon appearances.

Gregg Abbott met with him on Saturday as Carlisle had no game due to playing Friday night.

I don't think this is true, would love to see him back but more strikers, and where would he fit in

the only players greg is now persuing are midfileders and defenders.

I know you want a good depth of forwards but we have, 2 strikers out and out strikers and, 4 wingers come strikers and 2 just wingers we can't fit him in

If he sends Campbell back to Newastle then he should fit in the squad?

100% not true.

Zoko has been told he can leave 100% true

25 Aug 2013 15:15:51
I've heard from a few mates that Torres is in talks with Arsenal, anyone have news on this?

25 Aug 2013 15:07:41
Cardiff City set to sign Adem Ljajic from Fiorentina for a fee of arounf £6 million as Fiorentina do not want to lose hime on a free at then end of the season. He's set to have a medical this week.

No he's not. No bids made yet. And Cardiff will get out priced

Oh yes he is. Cardiff have pots of cash also.

If we sign him I'll eat my hat.

26 Aug 2013 12:28:09
i heard the whole man city team were asking to be transfered to us

If you got two hats ill eat the other

25 Aug 2013 14:22:11
Peter Odemwingie and John Guidetti are both big transfer targets for Mark Hughes at Stoke as he looks to offload Kenwyne Jones

Do you think Odemwingie would be a good signing for Stoke City?

Nope, but I think Guidetti would be

Odenwinge can stay where he is, we don't want him.

For 1mil I would

I would love to have John guidetti at stoke he would be absolute class. Odenwingie on the other hand doesn't have much loyalty and already said he would rather go to swansea. He will end up becoming uninterested very quickly and just eat up wages. Therefore NO we shouldn't sign him up.

25 Aug 2013 13:56:36
Villa will sign victor Fischer next week, villa have paid £10 million + add ons.

Ed do you know if there's any truth in this rumour Fischer is different class is there a playmaker coming in we badly lack one.

Would be great signing but can't see it, won't sell Fisher if Eriksen leaves

25 Aug 2013 12:25:40
Barnsley have already sounded out Danny Wilson, should barnsley a poor form continue

Get real mate we've only played 3 matches. Granted we need to improve from back to front but for people to start saying we need to change manager is laughable and deffinatley not Danny Wilson

Flicroft out of his depth, its a shambles, he's another Hill

Danny Wilson won't come back moved on to a big club.

Hi people, I've just got back off holiday and catching up on the comments and signings,
We all have our opinions, some I agree with and some not,
Here are mine,
To talk about replacing the manager after 4 games is poor,
On the McCourt signing, to compare him to messi or pele is a joke,
I've not seen him play but if you check his past record out he only averages around 12 games a season at any club he's been at, so he's either injury prone or not good enough, you look at his previous clubs rochdale and Derry and shamrock, what's that telling you, Celtic he didn't play much in 5 years, seems to me it's another rochdale old pals signing, and I had had enough of them under hill, but good luck to him, and I hope he does well,
Pederson on the other hand looks like its a good loan,

Sorry folks its not about the fans it's true, the board have already spoken to Wilson, personally I don't agree with it, but the fact remains they have, from a very very good source

Sack the manager already! I wondered how long clear off and follow man utd
do you really expect Barnsley to win every game? oh you do. coyr

Flicker needs time. All the squad is not fit. Do we forget what he did for us last season. Get behind him or support another club.

Personally playing 3 at the back against teams in this league is why we are shipping goals

Absolute shambles out of his depth. obviously last year was down to players giving evrything. which they aren't doing now who blames them half are being played out of position. dodgy selections better players left out to pick his mates dodgy subs.
has anyone forgot we stayed up by 1 point we can't afford to throw any away.
it is time to go. get poyet in now give him time before window shuts get sun ex rochdale league 2 rubbish out!

Which big club has Wilson moved to,
Last I heard he was on dole,

Oh and we have played 5 games not 3
4 in the league and 1 cup and been rubbish in all of them. too many points thrown away already. the team selections and 352 are a joke he hasn't got a clue

Nobody is literally comparing McCourt to pele it's his nickname he got from Celtic and n. I supporters. Jesus don't take everything so Serious.

26 Aug 2013 10:39:54
Barnsley set to sign leroy lita on a season long loan 9,000 a week

Will u lot give it a rest, we can't change managers after every few bad results, we need stability.
Flicker is a good manager and will sort it when all players are back so shut up and SUPORT YOUR TEAM!

He should av just got the job until the end of the season and this summer we should have had experienced championship manager in. new chairman new chief exec new manager. new start.
thank him for keeping us up and taking over new start. its the toughest league there is and its his first managerial job he's well out of his depth. proven by thinking he can play 352 with players all over the place out of position and league 2 players brought in on the cheap. who are not good enough. we have one of the biggest squads in the league half of which are not good enough. why not sign fewer players but more quality 2 crap players wage can pay 1 good players wage can it not?

That's good thinking to us all but Flitcroft

I think after reading most of these comments we must take a reality tablet we are a club punching above our weight not nice to read but fact it is two seasons ago portsmouth saved us last season a very late palace goal unless we see a serious investment on the pitch it doesn't bode well ah well at least we can sit on the benches near the town hall and watch the fountains a lately that's the only positive in the town

Whats craig hignet doing lately

The nice them fountains!!

The clues in the title page, Rumours, to all theses shut up and support you're team merchants, don't come on here if ya don't like it, it's a rumours site, I actually love the banter, even if I don't agree with it!!

Listen to you winges. If we are in this situation October time then YES something needs addressing. Give the man time for god sake

27 Aug 2013 11:39:15
Sack him? You wasn't saying that at the end of last season. the only fault you can have with the guy is that he signs too many Rochdale people but still he has signed decent players just wait for them to get used to the squad and then see how we play, plus we've had tuff fixtures like wigan, Blackburn. It was a fine loss to blackpool and nearly a win against Charlton with an offside goal so obviously what he's doing is right so stop criticizing him and get a life he's a better job than what any of you could do. SO COYR

Decent signings? Who could we sell for decent money? Please advise

25 Aug 2013 12:20:33
Arsenal have offered Swansea £30million for both Ashley Williams and michu.

They're dreaming michu is worth more on his own a midfielder who scores 20 plus, they won't leave both are happy at Swansea

Don't forget any move is up to the player/s! And the chance to play in the CL!

Yeah, but the price has to be right, and £30-35m for Michu and £12-13m for Ash is a more realistic bid. But none of the players are for sale. haven¨t you been listening to Huw. And if they should leave then they certainly will not for the price offered.

25 Aug 2013 20:31:07
Swans to sign peter odemwingie from west brom for fee of 1.8 million there has been suggested bids from stoke and Cardiff of 2 million but it is though the player eyes Swansea as the perfect move to end his carear!

How will they play in the cl if they have played in europe mate. Think

Would be good if he signed before their game next week then came on to score against his old team ;-)
I would question his commitment though if he sees us as his last stop before retirement!

Par for the course, Arsenal make a bid well below the players value just like Cabaye and they were laughed out of Valencia after that bid for their goalie

Why don't swans go after nicklas bendtner!he is a quality player and is so underated and would work well with laudrup

Bendtner is a terrible striker on massive wages

Unfortunalty Nicklas Bendter doesn't have focus on football at the moment. He could have been a terrific striker but he didn't undestand to turn his football skill to his advantage. Too many public scandals with Bendtner involved, so today he appears as a "clown" in the media with a rapidly fading football career. It's almost the last chance for Bendtner if he wants to kick start his career. But I doubt Laudrup is willing to give him that chance. IMO it's simply a matter of confidence. Besides it's difficult to see a way out for Bendtner as long as he is holding on to his high wage demands.

^So wouldn't it be fair to say his passion is money and not the game?
We need more Ben Davies's who says thinks like he'd be happy to play for Swansea in any league and to do it in thepremier is a dream come true while probably still being the lowest paid player in the league!
I'm doubtful arsenal will get either player this window, let's see where we sit in January!

A Jack

Arsenal are putting in silly bids for players in an attempt to con the fans into thinking they are active in the transfer market. They are not seriously expecting any of these bids to be accepted. I 'm surprised they haven't offered 10k for Bale

25 Aug 2013 10:03:41
Pochetinno looking to bring in Pablo Piatti Valencias pacey winger would be a great signing

25 Aug 2013 14:34:31
Billy sharp on his way to Ipswich before transfer deadline. loan untill end of season

25 Aug 2013 11:39:46
Sports tvunderstands Wolves are in former chelsea right winger Filipe Morais from Stevenage. But face competition from Yeovil, millwall, and Sheffield united.

Unless Stevenage are taking a number of players off Millwall's hands, he isn't coming to The Lions.

We had him years ago, don't want him back

25 Aug 2013 11:36:18
Stoke will confirm the signing of Assaidi on loan in the next 24 hours. And are believed to have made a £2m bid for Peter Odemwingie.

Hughes HOPEFULLY won't go for Odemwingie, he said he would get strikers that would get goals, Peter isn't one of them. I would prefer Defoe or Guidetti

Hope Oussama Assaidi comes I also hope we bring in Junior Hoilett and Jermain Defoe as well as one of the young strikers we've been after either John Guidetti or Henri Saivet.

Stoke are going to make a 5million pound bid for John Guidetti

I haven't seen aissaidi play so I don't know what he plays like. Although I hope stoke sign junior hoillet!

I haven't seen him play either but from the internet clips I've seen he seems like a quick and clever player on the ball, just what we need.

25 Aug 2013 10:14:57
Jordan Rhodes linked to Wigan for 10 million, can't see this happening as last two signings are due to be loans unless Mcarthy is sold to Everton

Nothing would make me happier, from a Wigan fan.

Definitely in need of another striker, can't see it happening without the sale of another player though, fee reportedly down to 6 million now

Really hope he does move to a proper club like Wigan, who actually have a chance of bouncing back straight away. Blackburn are only going to go downhill and as a Hudds fan, I don't want to see him taken down with them. Good luck for the season Wigan, whether or not you go for Rhodes.

26 Aug 2013 09:44:53
load of rubbish if he leaves us it will be to a premier league side not a championship side and we are on the way back up ROVERS TILL I DIE

Fee now being touted at around 8 million and Coyle refusing to deny rumors, he did deny rumors of Sami ameobi coming to wigan though

25 Aug 2013 10:05:28
Stoke are currently looking at Man City striker John Guidetti to buy. They are considering a bid of £5.5m for the Swedish international. He scored 20 times in 23 appearances for Feyenoord last season, who he was on loan with.

It wasn't last season, it was 2011/12.

My mistake

25 Aug 2013 09:33:50
Wolves have placed a 250k bid for Golbourne according to sources close to the midland club, not sure whether Barnsley will want more though.

Nowhere near is value ,don,t think they will sell anyway

Would get shut of him for 500k then buy a solid CB if I was flicker

Why would you get shut of goldbourne?! he was our best player last season before his injury and he's one of our main creative players now! do you think if there was any more solid CB's other than M'Voto and Nyatanga that flicker would've gone for them instead of one of those 2? 4 games in and 1 point. lost to a great wigan team with only 10 men, unlucky not to get more at charlton and blackpool and another red card against a team with the best goalscorer in the league. GET A GRIP! If we're in a similar position after 15/20 games then questions need to be asked not after 4 games!

Barnsleyfans, what do you think of scott golbourne, honestly, wolves fan, all the best for the season.

Barnsley fan here, sorry to see goldbourne go to be honest, he's not quite hit the form he showed last year, but on the down side neither have we!!, looked to have bags of potential last year, very quick and neat and tidy to feet, I think you've made a good signing, all the best see ya back in the championship next year, that's if we stay up??

25 Aug 2013 09:07:40
Sheffield united to sign Nathan Tyson from derby and leon clark to fill the hole blackmen left

You can have blackmen back. he's useless.

Sorry Swindon have signed him. see below he will be introduced to the media any time soon. any minute soon. no wait is that him. nope just Fred the groundsman. just hang on. etc etc.

Sorry about that, Tyson definitely worth a punt for the blades. About time you got promoted chaps. Need to nurse him through games due to his injury record.

25 Aug 2013 08:08:01
Peterborough had Bid £2m for Nahki Wells of Bradford.

Yawn, yawn, yawn. They would need to at least double that and even if they did, with all due respect to The Posh, Wells wouldn't go there, even if they did.

25 Aug 2013 10:15:15
Won't happen will take at least 3 million and unless its to championship or above he won't be going anyway

I'm a posh fan, it's never going to happen, so can we stop this rumour now? Getting a bit boring

Too late, not enough, he's staying as indicated via a club tv interview yesterday. Saw Gayle recently and I agree with the well connected, Wells is a better player and as a result valued higher.
How on earth you conned palace into shelling out that much is puzzling. Sorry but stop dreaming and look elsewhere. By the way 18 000 at VP yesterday. Nuff said

25 Aug 2013 10:41:46
Hull City Are Intrested In Nhaki Wells For 3. 5 Mill And For James Armstrong And Alex Bruce.

25 Aug 2013 14:31:51
Jesus Christ guys are you serious? Yes wells is a v good player and yes palace paid over for Gayle but how can you say that a player was fairly prolific (13in25 I think) in the champ is anywhere near as good as a prolific striker in league two?

Biased Bradford city fans are just blinded

25 Aug 2013 21:27:30
It's not us bradford fans who have come out had said only a silly offer would we sell Wells it's the chairmen who value well above the bids being quoted and also they won't sell unless he was to move higher up the footballing ladder not to a team in the same league enough said

Why would Peterborough want Wells when Britt is better

To play with Britt.

Dmac has already said we made a bid or two for wells, Bradford turned it down and we moved on

This was over a month ago. Since then we've signed Assombalonga.

You got asslongabunga as second choice to wells!

Who has turned out to be better than wells so happy days

When the wet muddy winter pitches are on the go i'm afraid Wells will be well stuck. At the moment he's a bit of a light-weight but good on solid turf, will be non existant in the winter months.

Not second choice, That's why Watford want first refusal if we sell him. we are still looking for another striker apparently, Assombalonga was always part of the plan thank goodness

Better than wells hmm. Time will tell me thinks but I doubt it.

The poster who said that Wells cannot play on wet muddy winter pitches is talking a load of nonsense. For his/her information Wells scored 26 goals last season, and they weren't all on nice pitches in the summer months!

I forgot that league 2 is home to some of the best pitches in the country, where wells scored 22 goals last season. Assombalonga scored 15 in that league. Wells has scored 5 in league 1 this season Assombalonga has scored 4. obviously much better than Wells. do anyone of you actually do a bit of research into the topics you are about to discuss or just blindly mumble on

Posh fan - Wells is clearly worth at least 2 and maybe 3-4 Million.

However Wells is three years older than Assombalonga, so would be expected to perform well, and score more in a promoted team, than a poor team.

I think that puts us in a position where Assombalonga is unanimously preferred over Wells by posh fans, it also means he is less likely to be running off within the next 12 months.

Assombalonga has a real shot at a future in the premier league, Wells may have a future in the premier league but is technically one to two years behind Britt on performance for age

No we are not blindly mumbling on, we have been choosing and selling top quality players much longer than Bradford in recent years

Whether Wells or Assomba is the better player is a matter of opinion. Get over yourselves children.

Not going to happen now as we have Assamobolonga, with all the comments about who is better, hmm not sure I think Assamo has the potential to be a lot better but remeber Wells has scored 5 for an average bradford side I think he would probably of scored a lot more if he played for posh

Bradford have said Nahki Wells will remain at Bradford unless a premier league side are interested in him. They've said if that is the case they won't stand in his way.

There you go Arsene, can't be any worse than Chamakh or Bendtner

25 Aug 2013 07:43:37
Leeds United will line up a shock move for former Arsenal striker Eduardo the Silva if McCormack is sold.

25 Aug 2013 07:41:48
Derby's young attacking midfielder Will Hughes will remain at Derby this summer. This is 100% correct, he said he isn't ready for the premier league yet despite interest from Man City and Liverpool

Derby fan here. We may have no choice if Liverpool, United, Barcelona, City etc bid more than 10 million.

you are right he isn't ready this season but that does not neccesarily mean he won't go because Nigel Clough will demand a loan back for this season. solving all the problems

Derby have said they want 15 million for him

100% true, also does not want to be far from home. Told me himself

N Wells Is Signing this Week In a 1.5 million MOVE To Peterborough Or Bournemouth. Other Players May Be joining the Posh This Week Is 2 youngster from Scotlands Sides

Wells to posh, no chance unless Tomlin is leaving

Bradford will not sell for less than 3 million.

25 Aug 2013 10:14:07
Too many sherbets again come back with at least 3million and maybe just maybe you might get Wells right leg for that

Cant see it happening but I said that about Ritchie last season

Please don't let this N. Wells be the new Ritchie saga, The player is over-rated for a start.

tokelo rantie IS back on - me thinks

Rantie? Not a chance. Billy Sharp is a more realistic bet on a season long loan to AFCB. No way will Sharp be in the first team squad at St. Mary's this year. All he needs to do is curb his silly high wage expectations until he fires us to the Prem!

Sharp wanted £20k a week which AFCB were not prepared to pay. They could pay a chunk of that on a loan basis but Sharp prefers a move to a bigger club even though he wouldn't have to move home if he joined AFCB.

Mark my words it will be RANTIE this week

Billy Sharp is on way to Celtic for sure.

God mate mr ed mitchell will b rantin if we don't win soon

Rantie agreed 4 year deal

Rantie deal now official

Whoever " me thinks ran tie deal is on posted 26/8/13 " was top dog. Is we going to get Boyd as well?

Boyd as well would be amazing, although our defence needs sorting. Harte is pants. Too slow now & OK good free kicks but its not like American Football, where we bring on players for a set piece! let's hope Rantie & co get on the end of Frasers amazing crosses, & bang some goals in.

We will sign Moses 100% SC

Can West Brom afford to pay his £55K per week wages. doubt he will take a pay cut

Thanks, Ed. I thought it must have been an Egyptian team.

Jimmy Kebe and another Reading player - believed to be Mikele Leigertwood - are set to sign for Leeds United believed to be on initial loan deals with a view to signing the players on a permanent basis within the next 72 hours

Not much of a loan period if they are going to sign permanantly within 72 hours.

Rubbish. Kebe is on way back from injury and will be major player in Adkins plans. As for Leigertwood- Where can we drop him off?

I would be very surprised if Kebe goes anywhere. The chance of working with kebe is one of the reasons N. A. came to Reading!

Kebe is going nowhere. Delusions or wishful thinking.

I doubt it, it's not like we need to.
With record season tickets sold this season and prem revenue from last season plus parachute payments, I'm not happy that Reading are still tossing about with talk of loaning players out. We need at least 2 quality strikers, a LB as cover and an experienced centre half. Spend some of the money Anton and walk the talk!

Kebe to leeds, not going to happen. then again I guess its been a while since one of our players has been linked to them, now which southampton player are we going to sign this week.

I think the loss yest could be a blessing in disguise and fully agree with the above post anton needs to walk the talk if we are going to get out this division. The money needs to be spent on quality forward players who can score a goal and a defender as we ain't got a clean sheet coming anytime soon!
I stuck up for Roberts the other week but seeing him on final score weekley getting paid from bbc and reading fc is a hard pill to swallow. Hrk ain't no striker and the 4 points dropped so far have all been because of forward line or defence so at the end of the season let's see how costly those 4 points are! when it is known throughout the club a lack of spending has cost us premiership football every time we gain promotion why should championship be any different.

Not a chance of this happening legs maybe kebe if kebe were to leave he would be going to a prem club no disrespect to Leeds

6 points dropped try counting!

We and every other team in the division will drop a lot more points than 6. there are a lot of games to go and we won't win them all that is something you will have to get used to. the overreaction to 1 defeat is quite astonishing.

Actally reading have dropped 7 points try counting! 1 win 2 draws 1 loss= 7 dropped points

As I posted earlier Anton needs to walk the talk. Personally I believe he will usher in a few unknown players with potential but the players who could really make the difference, Bridcutt, Rhodes, Ince are all valued above 1.5m (we don't spend serious money). And as for Jason Roberts he's fooled fans and Reading FC 100% but will be tweeting some crap again soon in the next 24hrs on how much he puts into the club without kicking a ball and what a pro he is. I just Wish he'd just retire and get off the wage bill.

7 points dropped, try counting again!

People don't seem to understand that a lot of money is being spent by Anton, on the academy and wage bill etc. People only seem to look at the transfer fees

I do understand and I understand that the majority of fans are sympathetic to the PR put out through the media re the cost of future plans. Anton purchased the club for the right money (cheap) knowing he would need to invest in the academy and upgrade/relocate the training ground. If these had ready been in place the purchase price would have been double. Anton already had the money for the investment needed before he purchased the club. This would have been drawn up in the business plan. The sooner fans wake up and understand that the son of a billionaire is used to having things all his own way. Anton's big talk to sell season tickets leading up to August and we all fell in line. I want to see proper signing and investment on the field which is where I go and pay my hard earned money to watch the team play

Its only 7 points dropped if you expected us to win all those games, most of us didn't. Its all a matter of perspective.

Yes we've dropped points, but I think the loss at blackpool was cause of team selection, no offence but blackman up front and pog and alfie on the bench. there's only goals in the team if you play the players that are going to score, and I don't think blackmans going to score anyone 20+ goals a season.
need a new striker (prolific hopefully) a left back, I think drenthe can cover there but surely youd want him in a more attacking role, and we need to shore up our defence badly, hope we go up this season, I have faith as were always slow starters. URZ

Legs is an honest enough player, not the quickest but he can do a job. Please take Kebe, he thinks he's 10x better than he actually is and so do the easily won over Reading fans. Only plays when he feels like it such is his over inflated self worth.

Wolves will sign Wes Foderingham from Swindon in the next week, Wes himself has told people around the club he expects to leave soon.

We already have to keepers at Wolves and Hennessey is loaned out for a month, so I doubt this is true.

Out in few bars in swindon last night, that was the hot topic, wes leaving this week.

Wes will stay this season and if Swindon are still L1 next season he will get his move to the Championship then.

Fodders Goodbye, farewell!
he will sign for Wolves but the back lash will come from swindon fans he is our jule in the crown! and he will Cost!! coillins £ 200. 000 cheap
Flint £350. 000 cheap

I did not no collins went for 200,000 that's unbelievable to me he had to be worth 600,000 I find it hard to believe the money they say the players that left were on before they came to swindon I hadnt heard of them so why would they pay them such big money I think dicanio wanted a big squad for competetion but this board just want a team that's cheap if anyone gets injured god help us

Strong rumours in Stoke that former City striker Mamady Sidibe is training with league one side Walsall, in the hope of earning a contract at the league one side. Sidibe was sent out on loan to Tranmere last season, but has suffered from lots of injuries in the past 2-3 years.

According to ssn earlier in the summer Sidibe was training with Scottish League Two side Rangers, but failed to earn a contract at the Scottish giants.

He isn't training with us I spoke to dean smith myself

Haha You spoke to him did you.

Hes a good striker but we need proven goalscorer with a bit more experience like Defoe were linked with too many young strikers. Juan Agudelo (signed) 20, John Guidetti 21 and Henri Saivet 22.

Yeah I spoke to Dean too and he informed me that you haven't spoke to him at all.

Ye the other day and its julian gray who's training with us not sildebe

I'm a Tranmere fan and Sidibe was awful in the games he played for us.

I've just been told by a very reliable source within our club that Kilmarnock are very close to signing ex raith rovers, dundee & rangers striker nacho novo on a one year contract with another year option, our manager alan johnston wants to play nacho novo out wide, I personally think novo will be a great signing for us, what do other killie supporters think?
