Actually mate he is American through his grandfather and has declared himself American so he can get a call up for America as he doubts england will ever do so.
Plus, he'll only be sold according to Grayson if and when we find a replacement and someone meets Bates valuation of £500,000. We kept Beckford and lost 2 million but we got promotion so were not bothered about giving Bradley johnson away when he can leave after this year and we can finally get a good midfielder- like Lee Bowyer or Michael Johnson

Eddie Howe has three primary transfer targets for this January.

He will make Charlie Austin his first capture as Clarets boss within the week from Swindon for a £1.5m fee. Austin's preference is to join up with Howe as opposed to going to Blackpool, as Howe was key in Austin's rise as a professional footballer.

Dean Furman from Oldham Athletic will be signing for a reported 500k. The South African midfielder has impressed this season, and Howe is aware of him from when he was at Bradford City, tracking him since.

What have you been smoking? Lowry is an excellent acquisition and we only had Bartley as a fit CB at the time, so he's "better than what we have". Mattock, similarly is "better than what we have" if only because we have no fit LB until he joined. Marcus Bent will form an excellent partnership with Evans and is "better than" Cresswell, Bogdanovich, Ward. Michael Doyle was a key member of Leeds promotion team last year and helped keep Coventry up when MA was there. Don't slag us off just for the sake of it. . . . .and we're not done yet.(3)(2)

News from Bristol City that Lee Johnson has handed in a transfer request this morning. The central midfielder who is out of contract at the end of the season feels that he needs a move to improve his game. City are willing to listen to offers, with Derby County expected to make an offer.

Keith Millen has failed to sign Ryan Bertrand after a deal could not be met between City & Chelsea.

City manger Keith Millen has reportedly said there are still a couple of ongoing deals, but it is unlikely anyone will sign before the end of the window.

Charlie Austin - we keep hearing Blackpool manager and now the chairmaan bleeting on about Liverpool won't offer the money for Charlie Adam well i feel it is a case of pot calling kettle black here so why won't Blackpool meet our valuation at Swindon for Charlie Austin. It works both ways so either offer what we want or shut up about the whole situation you can't have it one way when you want to sell and diffferent again to when you want to buy. We are a league 1 team so not doubt you want to offer a derisory figure for a player that is wanted throughout the leagues.
A few of you may not know but gone are the old days when we were a club struggling financially we have wealthy owners now and we don't need to sell Austin so stump up the cash or shut up.
