Look to Stephen Mc Manus to be DM, s first signing, our new man rates him he had him at bristol city a couple of times and he is out of contract at the end of the season.

Cannot see this happening due to wage restrictions at the club. Stephen is a very good player but he's 31 this year. The Dons would be better off investing in younger players with fire in the belly and sell on value.

Wages might be a huge problem, abaaaaaaaaaaadeen don't have the cash at the moment to give a player 3 or 4 grand a week at mcmanus will be on a lot more than that.

Everton summer targets -

Alvaro Negredo (Sevilla)
Leroy Fer (Twente)
Joleon Lescott (Man City)
Scott Sinclair (Man City)
Aidan Mcgeady (Spartak)

Whos summer target if moyes is leaving?

25 Mar 2013 22:33:52
Jordan Rhodes today stated that he is starting to regret his move to blackburn Rovers. #endoftheroad

Along with his £39k wage per week. {Ed034's Note - he's surely not on that

He can come back to Town if he wants but he will have to start on the bench

Thats what happens when you grab the cash, he should have stayed at huddersfgield until the end of this season then gone to a prem club. silly boy.

No he didnt. your lying

25 Mar 2013 22:24:20
Ally McCoist to manage Newport County next season.

If you mean the manager from newco the rangers that will be the worst decision ever as he is horrible and is no manager.

26 Mar 2013 09:55:56
to big a club for ally he needs to start at the bottom

25 Mar 2013 22:23:32
Ally McCoist to manage Newport County next season.

No chance, mate

25 Mar 2013 22:20:36
As usual West Brom will take advantage of the free transfer market.

Danny Simpson, Alex Pearce, Vladimir Weiss and Carlton Cole all being targeted.

I could see Pearce and Weiss who are both good enough and young enough to fit with the Albion model, but, I would question if we would pay the wages that Simpson would want as he turned down a decent contract at Newcastle and as for Carlton (wheres the goal?) Cole I can't see him being anything more than a carbon copy of Fortune' ie great at leading the line, holding up and creating space but rubbish at finishing. We'll see.

Carlton cole is getting a new contract I heard

25 Mar 2013 22:04:48
Jose Mourinho to become Chelsea boss in the Summer which will see Michael Emanalo leave his position.

Nigel Adkins close to being appointed Reading boss.

Lukas Podolski is being linked with Juventus.

25 Mar 2013 21:49:06
Swindon Town's targets:

Robbie Blake (Summer 2013)
Rory Donnelly (Swansea - loan)
Luke Freeman (Stevenage - loan)
Simon Church (Reading - loan/£250k)
Adrian Mariappa (Reading - loan)

Simon church yes.
But marriapa. Not a hope not a chance.! At least you realise what a great player he is!
If he signs for Swindon. Ill eat my own eyeballs. No comments on that one (ed) {Ed010's Note - nope

Church yes but mariappa no, he can start for us and he's not going to want play football for league 1/championship

Mariappa?. AHA don't be silly. He's Readings best defender.

No way in hell will we load out Mariappa, he's our best CB.

26 Mar 2013 11:13:31
you better get ready to eat your own eyeballs then. New manager in at Reading a new broom sweeps clean and be prepared for some changes at your club in the summer. The eyeballs may taste better with something else so you enjoy the taste and flavour.

26 Mar 2013 13:06:55
We don't need Mariappa, we have plenty of depth in defense and one of the tighest defenses in the country at present, so that's not on the cards.

We are in for Andy Johnson until the end of the season, but it depends on his fitness, decision to be made today between Harry and Kevin.

Ex Barcelona player Cristian Ceballos, expected on loan also, along with fellow spurs player Dean Parrett.

Adrew Johnson seems to be the "Premier League striker" that has been rumoured to be going to STFC, dependants it seems on his fitness.

It doesn't matter what you say, we won't have our embargo removed before the end of this time window.

God knows what will happen in the summer.

Why would he stay at Reading when he can double his money at Swindon? Money talks my friend

Andy johnson was once a cracking premiership player not that long ago?, at league 1 level even at 32 he could help get us up - hope he signs and the embargo is lifted

Why would he drop two divisions to Swindon? Plus I'm sure he's aware of the rivalry.

25 Mar 2013 20:04:15
Norwich City are stepping up their interest in Marco Van Ginkel of Vitesse Arnem, after already sign dutch striker Van Wolfswinkle, Van Ginkel is seen as the perfect foil to push the canaries on next season. A fee is being negotiated and Norwich may try to sign a pre agreement deal like RVW.

Looks like a good, young player

Wow: Van Ginkle and Van Wolfswinkel up front? Brilliant. Mind you, Norwich must be rubbing their hands with glee as 1000's of kids put those names on their shirts

25 Mar 2013 20:32:08
Bony to Fulham almost a done deal, 12m & Kasami, Chadli will join Fulham for 4.2m from fc twente

Would prefer not to lose Kasami as he is a good prospect for the future.

27 Mar 2013 16:14:28
quite likely to be used as a makeweight - I don't think he sees eye 2 eye with BMJ

What value would you give him as a makeweight?

3m considering FFC paid Palermo 4m

So you think he has dropped in value in his time at Fulham?

25 Mar 2013 20:14:22
Robbie Blake leaves Doncaster by mutual consent

Set to sign a deal with pne till the end of season to be simon Graysons first signing.

25 Mar 2013 20:08:16
Scott Sinclair are linked with Southampton as well as a few other priemer league teams for around 6-7 million.
I think it will be a good addition for saints, a good injection of pace.

Will not happen this season, as he has already played for 2 Premier League teams this season.
Lots of talk around, that he will be joining Forest for their push for promotion.

I agree, suits Pochettino's style of play as well, fast, energetic and skillful

Have been repeated rumours because his little brother is performing brilliantly at the saints academy.

25 Mar 2013 19:59:50
Crystal Palace to bid for Albert Adomah in the summer to replace Wilf Zaha. If City are relegated they are likely to do business under £2m

Even if we go down he won't join palace he said he will only go to the prem if he leaves and palace won't go up

25 Mar 2013 23:39:45
Not sure his form is good enough for the Prem?

Rather go for current youth or someone like Matt Phillips, raw talent which we have proven that we can develop

26 Mar 2013 16:47:00
I quite agree with Parish regarding the conduct of spectators on twitter ect, same goes for players they represent the club and night clubs ect should be out of bounds during the season even if they are millionaires. I don't get to see palace as I live miles away but what a great job they are all doing after what they went through.

25 Mar 2013 19:08:54
Barnsley going to sign alfie potter from Oxford united on a 3 year deal

Is he Harry's brother? Heard he is full of tricks and magic around the box!

Going to have to spend a few bob to land him

26 Mar 2013 06:13:52
Oxford fan here I can tell you now this guy is rubbish bsp player at best

27 Mar 2013 19:07:32
bsp player at best? haha joker. There have been a few championship clubs have looked at him this season. Palace, Charlton and Millwall by all accounts.
His contract runs out this summer, but club have a 1 yr option on him. So if he doesn't agree a longer deal, which he hasn't been offered yet! it won't take much to take him off us.
When on form he's unplayable in LG2. But his decision making in the final third is awful. his final ball is usually not that great. He'll not make it in the Championship.

25 Mar 2013 18:53:53
Chelsea's Michael Emanalo has created list for potential player recruitment in the summer. Names said to be included are Danny Welbeck, Luis Saurez and Cheik Tiote

25 Mar 2013 18:49:47
Di Natale has been sounded out for a year at Watford if they reach the Premiership. The 36 year old has indicated that he would only consider this if Udinese are not in European competition next season.

Di Natale retires from playing at the end of the season to coach Udinese youngsters. He has always stated he never wants to play for anybody else and has turned down moves to some of the big sides in Italy. This has come from to Udinese fans ITK.

26 Mar 2013 13:29:52
Isn't playing for Watford or Udinese now officially the same thing. or did I miss that memo?

No you're quite wrong, if you look on the world map you'll find that Udinese is in northern Italy, whereas Watford is in the south east of England, grow up.

27 Mar 2013 13:47:39
Sarcasm - know when to spot it!

And Aston Villa is in Birmingham, which is where Hogg is returning

25 Mar 2013 18:16:47
Jason walker of york city to fleetwood or chesterfield in the summer

He won't go there, he's not that good any more

He will fit in with Chesterfield then mate because their not that good anymore either

25 Mar 2013 18:25:48
tv are reporting that Reading are near to signing Nigel Adkins as Manager to replace McDermott.

Have job before arsenal game according to tv

25 Mar 2013 21:55:16
Surprises me that he will go there because bigger clubs in championship after him

"bigger teams in championship"?! Reading still have a chance of staying up in Prem and every if they do go down they are probably one of biggest teams in the championship. Always near the top. Won it twice. Adkins could try and pull off a Lambert or Lallana signing?

26 Mar 2013 07:22:24
You won't be one of the bigger championship sides you have awful support there is big clubs with good fan bases in the league

Don't want lambert but lallana would be a good one

Bigger clubs.?
Maybe 50 years ago yeah. But now No!
Don't live in the past anymore it's boring
Big now means plenty of £££££ so maybe you can name the bigger clubs in the championship?

26 Mar 2013 15:33:52
You have loads of money and bought no one even your rich chairman can see your support is awful that's why you said at the start of the season Defoe and big names coming and you got none and as for you saying how big a club is is about money shows your daft it's about loyal fans home and away through all times not bad supported team like reading

26 Mar 2013 07:22:24
You won't be one of the bigger championship sides you have awful support there is big clubs with good fan bases in the league

Championship is full of clubs like Leeds living in the past. History is be admired yes but when you walk out on the pitch all that matters is quality and readings recent record has two promotions and a play off final. Not bad for a little club in the championship given so many 'big' clubs around

I did notice you still didn't name the bigger clubs??

27 Mar 2013 16:17:03
Bigger clubs than reading in championship probably all of them except pboro Bristol city and watford

If Adkins brings anyone from the saints it will be the likes of chaplow billy sharp possibly tadanria lee maybe guly but lambert and Lallana we have no chance

27 Mar 2013 16:17:03
Bigger clubs than reading in championship probably all of them except pboro Bristol city and watford

Yet reading always seem to finish top six or abouts. Wow. Travesty {Ed034's Note -

You may get some Saints youngsters on loan who are not ready yet for the 1st teams (under 21 and under 18 of course!)

25 Mar 2013 18:03:41
cheik tiote to chelsea in the summer for 25 million

25 Mar 2013 18:02:06

25 Mar 2013 16:40:43
Heard that Florent Cuvelier has chosen Walsall to go on loan to once again. He will be in Fridays squad against Tribulation. Very good source!

Stupid predictive text, yeovil not tribulation

Florent as signed for Peterborough.

Flo has gone to peterboro

Hes signed for Peterborough.

25 Mar 2013 15:53:44
Aberdeen looking to bring Richard Foster back to Pittodrie

Hope so waste of citys money

25 Mar 2013 20:54:40
well, D Mc signed him once so he may well again- Now that we hve Maloney, can't see him featuring often

I certainly hope not, pleased to see the back of him.

25 Mar 2013 16:31:58
LUFC close to being takenover for a second time talks have been concluded just paperwork to sign oh the joys of being on the leeds board

25 Mar 2013 15:57:25
AFC Bournemouths Matt Ritchie subject to a major bid from Crystal Palace this summer. Good source

Would only be if afcb don't get into championship this year, their would be many championship clubs wanting his services, that's just football.

You would think more than Crystal Palace would be interested. We were very fortunate to get him on the cheap but I'm sure we will make a good few quid on him so good luck to him

26 Mar 2013 07:59:21
Yep you did get him on the cheap from us and the fact you only paid 500k for him when you paid 800k for Tubbs is a joke. Ritchie should have been sold by us for at least 1. 5 m to you but we have a sell on clause if he moves again from Bournemouth of 30%.

Sure the sell on clause wouldn't be that high, if there is one at all! Can't see him moving so quickly after joining, but if he did it would be for triple the amount afcb paid for him

Beware of sell-on clauses. clubs have ways of getting round them - look at how Norwich (persons) sold on Efan Ekuko one match short of when they were due to apy a further fee.

25 Mar 2013 15:56:48
Sako of Wolves will join West Brom in the summer. Whatever league they are in. Good info on all things Wolves.

No thanks {Ed034's Note - you kidding? Really good player and will do well in the prem

No chance! He won't be sold to our rivals unless its for BIG money! I can see him going to a team like Everton or Newcastle!

25 Mar 2013 22:06:09
Wouldn't want him {Ed034's Note - then that's just your local rivals head on and not your footballing head on, if that's what you honestly think

Ed - how do you think he would get past Yacob, Mulumbu or Morrisson? No chance of this happening at all. {Ed001's Note - he is a winger, those players play in central midfield. Clearly you haven't a clue about him, so your opinion is worthless in this case. Sako is a top quality player, the issue with him is that he can be a touch lazy tracking back.}

West Brom generally don't play with wingers so he would probably be useless. Shows how much you know about football Ed. {Ed001's Note - are you really this stupid? Clarke wants to buy wingers. They play with wide midfielders regularly, they don't have any proper wingers to play there so usually shunt Brunt to the left and Odemwingie or another forward to the right. So now he wants to get someone who is actually natural for the wide positions. Not exactly difficult to understand unless you are some gobby anonymous internet troll with no idea about the sport of football.}

Sako is a cracking player, with a Shot like steam train. He can play on the wing but also would be a great number 10 imo

Ed - What do you mean shunt brunt on the left? He's a natural left mid, he always complains that we stick him at holding mid and right wing because he wants to play on the left. Morrison is naturally a right mid, ony last couple of seasons we've been playing him in the middle. But you are correct, we always play wingers and wide mids. gera, thomas, brunt, morrison, odemwingie (probably just to influence him to pass the ball for once)

25 Mar 2013 15:46:56
Oldham have signed Bobby Reid on a youth loan from Bristol City until the end of the season. He will come in handy for our very congested April

25 Mar 2013 13:53:07
Crystla palace planning on exploiting the emergency loan market loophole in the hope they can turn around the invitable lose in the play off semi finals

25 Mar 2013 13:21:58
Birmingham have received three summer bids for the star defender Curtis Davies.
Swansea City are thought to be favourites for the signature of the 28 year old and could sign him for around £5 million.
Sunderland and Manchester United are also keen on Davies but has only been guaranteed football with the Welsh club.

Yeah instead of Chico and Williams good one, he's not good enough for us simple.

Is he any good?

Why would Swansea want Davies, he has already failed to make the grade at the top level

25 Mar 2013 12:43:27
One in, one out at Doncaster before Thursday's loan window closes. Out, James Harper to Grimsby with a view to a permanent deal. In, Gary Madine.

Robbie Blake has left today so really hope that with him and harper gone/going that we can bring in someone just to see us over line

Our manager has said harper is going nowhere

25 Mar 2013 12:38:57
Crawley to enter administration before the end of the season due to the owners being fed up and withdrawing funding and being unable to find another backer.

Fire sale to take place at the end of the season and Coppell to quit with Barker also leaving, Crawley to be placed under league embargo as a result.

There's always some sad person who likes to make up some nonsense. These so called football league fans clearly don't watch television programmes (late kick-off on BBC1 Sunday 24th March for example) made for the real fans. If they did they would then be able to have an idea about what goes on in the real world.

Crawley is up for sale as a debt free going concern with a strong future; we are still growing into the league unlike some other clubs that are sadly in decline.

The point is that any club going into administration is not good news for all of us in the league, and certainly isn't something to crow about.

Good luck to the true Pompey fans who are doing more than anyone to save their great club

25 Mar 2013 15:46:00
i wish people who write will get their facts correct. I am not a fan of Crawley but of swindon town and crawley are not going into administration all they have done is put their club up for sale and the club will be financed by the current owners until they find a buyer.
Some fans seem to revel in other clubs demise but Crawley are not in trouble so people get your facts correct before writing total rubbish about clubs and players.

This has got to be one of the most ludicrous and malicious posts ever to appear on this site. Crawley Town are not in any form of financial trouble, nor are they on the brink of administration or a transfer embargo. Whoever posted this stupid and grossly inaccurate statement needs to grow up. If you can't posted anything factual then kindly don't bother posting anything at all.

25 Mar 2013 21:00:38
Crawley are extremly stable an going onwards and upwards they will be in championship in the next two years

25 Mar 2013 21:46:18
That is if their ground can get up to standard.

Strong rumours steve evans is coming back to the club.

Steve Evans coming back? Is he thinking of buying the club then? Tell you what let's have Matt Tubbs, Tyrone Barnett and Hope Akpan back as well. While we are at it let's all go back to the Conference too shall we?

Nothing like clinging on to the past is there? Granted Richie Barker may leave when we have new owners but Steve Evans back? No thanks

27 Mar 2013 16:16:57
Crawley r in talks with a rich family from middel east. They r looking to set up a large buitvess in the area an like the idear of crawley wearing their names on the shirts. This could be big from crawley a new ground an a hell lot more money.

27 Mar 2013 16:18:09
Crawley in talks with billionair family from middle east who wanna set up a huge company around the crawley area

28 Mar 2013 22:41:14
Heard a rich middle east family want to buy crawley as they r setting up buitvess in the area an could pump millions into building crawley into a huge club

Phil Brown Is Due To Be Unveiled As Southend United's New Manager At Some Point Today.

The Former Bolton, Derby, Hull & Preston Boss Will Take Charge Of The Shrimpers' Next Two League Matches Against Bradford City & Fleetwood Town Respectively Before Handing The Managerial Reigns Back To Paul Sturrock For The Johnstone's Paint Trophy Final Against Crewe Alexandra.

Brown Will Use The Remaining League Matches To Analyse The Players He Has And To Decide Whether Anything Needs Changing Before The Start Of Next Season.

Then We Can Start Afresh And Hit The Ground Running At The Start Of The 2013/2014 Season.

A

Unlucky he take you down ,he bring in over hyped your going need it players on wages you can't afford .good luck

Hope that westley does go back to stevenage and take with him his cronies, foster bearsley, byrom,
mousinho, he can take I can play anywhere King with him as well, a player who is equally as bad wherever he plays.

Agree with everyone except King. He links play up well and is an intelligent player. He is taking unfair flack for lack of goals.

Paul Sturrock has done an incredible job at Southend! Unfortunately chairman and fans have delusions of grandeur. You will get what you deserve and Phil Brown will take you straight into the conference.

So when's the stadium going up?

Lets be fair king is poor, he is not a defender, not a midfielder and will never be a striker in a million years. that's why he was playing non league until 27, he can go, We need a striker x2, pope at port vale maybe

Couldn't be happier to see the back of Sturrock. Worst football I have ever seen played at Roots Hall. Couldn't handle the decent players and tactically naive for L2. Welcome Mr Brown, fingers crossed you can do a lot better.

Please please please stevenage reappoint westley so hev can take the garbage he bought at north end namely foster beardsley byrom king all conference level at best.

25 Mar 2013 09:37:48
Huddersfield Trying to sign James Vaughen on a permanent deal at the end of the season. James said if a price is agreed he is willing to talk.

Vaughan made clear weeks ago he would be more than happy to sign permantly and now that norwich seem reasonably established in PL and rumours of big funding for new players I think this will almost certainly happen and if we could get the lad for around a million then that would be an excellent piece of business IMO. Also think danns would be a good signing and if lynch doesn't get his early season form back then defo need new CB and actually we are not as far off as people think lee and novak off so need another quality striker, beckford good enough but needs to lower wages and couldn't possibly be that injury plagued next year could he?. Scannell, ward and hunt provide pace and width and clayton and danns good enough, also gobern surprised me seems decent.
true terrier

Agreed with 2nd comment, although we can get better than Beckford. Norwich also rumoured to be interesten in Van wolfswinkel, if he comes in, then Vaughan will have no chance of getting into their XI, so we could get him for hopefully a steal price.

Lets not forget that vaughan has scored a fair few goals and other championship teams will want him.

Dont think they'll be much of a battle on our hands should have decent relationship with them over pilkington transfer and IF we match the asking price then he'll be a town player next season. I say IF because we missed out on so many players with weak transfer offers whilst holding teams to ransom for jordan rhodes.
true terrier

With a fit squad our new manager, the inclusion of some youngsters from the development squad (in line with club policy), and accrued from the sale of deadwood, we should have enough in the kitty to sign JV if MR wants him, and be a force in the championship next season with money to spare.

I rate the lad very highly & think we should pull out all the stops to get him. Like a previous poster said though, if we offer a derisory amount as we supposedly did with Mackey Stevens, Russell & Austin then i'm afraid he'll be plying his trade elsewhere next season.

29 Mar 2013 16:12:00
and lambert, danny graham and adam le fondre

25 Mar 2013 09:28:38
Norwich City are extremely keen on signing Portuguese Besiktas midfielder Manuel Fernandes and are set to make an opening bid of £4m to try and lure him away from the Turkish side.

Yep and i'm batman. lo

I'd think he'd be worth a little more than £4! Quality player

Why not? managed to get the wolf man

Is this the same guy who used to play on loan at Everton?

Yes he played for Everton. Also cost Valencia £12M in the past

Yes he agreed to join everton for 12m before turning his back on them and then crawling back on loan he really is a money grabber but would be a good signing for norwich

25 Mar 2013 09:27:52
Everton will sign Gary Mackay Steven in the summer.

25 Mar 2013 09:26:39
Leeds' attacking midfielder Simon Dawson will sign on loan for Bradford for the remainder of the season, Dawson has been in terrific form in the reserves and suits Bradford down to the ground as they have been in need of a player like Dawson all season.

Do you mean chris.

Simon Dawson? It's CHRIS Dawson for crying out loud, get your facts straight!

Dawson won't be going anywhere he will be getting a run out before the season ends

Why would wells go to northhampton town, he clearly has more ambitions to play in higher leagues, i'm not saying bradford will get promoted, but northhampton is certainly not the team to go with!
