Hearts are targetting Alan Shearer as their new manager. AS will be a massive coup and boost season ticket sales, which are expected to be low at this time after a nightmare season.
AS wants to go into management but has no desire to go straight into the Premier League. He wishes to build a name for himself and sees Hearts as an excellent club to do so.
If he gets the job he will start at the end of the season. He wishes to start coaching now, as with the BBC losing the rights to the FA Cup, they will have next to no live football next season, making AS almost redundant.

Chester City could offer Danny Murphy the job as player–manager of his hometown club. His wages would be no problem as Chester have plenty of funds available from owner Stephen Vaughan but have been unable to use them due to the salary cap. As the manager Murphy would be exempt, and it is thought the club are preparing an attractive package. The deal may hinge on Fulham's survival prospects, as Murphy would probably opt to stay in the Premier should they beat the drop. But if they go down Fulham will be looking to cut costs and he would be allowed to leave.
Gunners Rumours
Apparently with the results over the last few games, Arsene has decided that it's time to spend and spend big and French as is his usual. He reportedly was eyeing both Sebastian Frey and Gregory Coupet as a full time replacement for Lehmann. Philippe Mexes is the link he sees as shoring up a leaky defense. The big money will be spent on two wingers and two forwards, with a possible replacement for a disillusioned Fabregas who seems to be pining for Spain at the moment as things aren't going his way. His eventual replacement will be Samir Nasri. On the wings Wenger will bring in Menez of Monaco who he brought to the club as a child apparently and Gourcuff of Milan, then up front it will be Ben–arfa and Benzema of Lyon. All in all this will set him back 60 to 70 million, and with all the youth coming through this should set Arsenal up for the next few years.

Rafa is planning to sign Portuguese sensation Diogo for £8 million. However, he would be ineligible to a work permit and would have to be loaned out for the season.
Rafa will raid La Liga once again. He will aim to take Sergio Aguero from Athletico Madrid and will bid big once again–around £25 million as well as giving them Diogo on a year loan deal.
He will take Heinze from Real Madrid for £5 million and will snap up Santiago Canizares on a free transfer from Valencia.
Oscar Trejo from Mallorca for £7 million will join as the fourth forward
Benayoun will be allowed to leave and reports claim that Newcastle could be about to offer £11 million pounds in a double deal that would see Benayoun and Riise move to St. James's Park.
Scott Carson (7 million) and Charles Itjande (4 million) will be allowed to move on both having plenty of admirers. Guthrie will make his move to Bolton a permanent one for £3 million.
Harry Kewell and Andrey Voronin will both get free transfers.
Expect Skrtel to really provide big challenge at the back for Jamie Carragher. Rafa feels it would be a big bonus to have such pace at the back but up until now he has not had the guts to drop Carragher.
Next season will be Finnan's, Kuyt's and Hyypia's last at Anfield. Rafa is chasing Rafinha as a replacement to Finnan. Diogo will be Kuyt's replacement and Hyypia's replacement could be Ezequiel Garay.

Bid for Lucio – Anything above £10 million, however he is unlikely to come.
Deco – Again highly unlikely and he would not suit the Premier League anyway.
Bentley – More likely to come, 8–9 million perhaps?
The big one is Luca Toni – Bayern are willing to let him leave as they have Podolski and Klose in reserve. Could be a knock down price as well as Toni is getting on a bit.
The person who says keegan wants to build his own team says he will sell Babayaro who actually left months ago. There will however be a much needed clear out, hangers on such as Barton, smith, cacapa, faye, enrique, ameobi, Duff will all leave and will be replaced with top class 'keegan type' players, expect bids for Bentley, Riise, Deco, lassan Diarra and lucio to bring some stength at the back and firepower may be supplied by saviloa, Keane or even a huge bid for Berbatov.

There have been several poor rumours about the Hammers in the last few days. Darren Bent is still a target but only if the price is right, any more than ten million and the Hammers will be looking elsewhere. Curbishley is looking to bring in just two first team players in the Summer. A forward and a left winger. Darren Bent is seen as his first choice, but the owners are keen about a big name overseas player, arguing that shirt sales would help offset transfer fees, they do not see Darren Bent as being a big enough name. However Curbishley may get his own way if a big name left winger can be brought in. Top of the shopping list is Joe Cole, who is not happy with playing for Grant. However Jeremy Menez, and N'Zogbia are also being monitored. With no European football next season N'Zogbia is the most likely. There will be several signings of young raw talent including a back up left back, a young loan signing forward, possibly Dos Santos, along with a clutch of South American youngsters.
Alan Curbishley has been told that the minimum requirement for next season is to qualify for Europe, no excuses. the Hammers are also in the Hunt for feeder clubs in Portugal and Spain to help with clearance for young Brazillian and Argentinian players. This will be heavily influenced by Nani.
The club aim to be playing European football every season, and to be challenging for Champions league within three seasons.
Baba is not a Newcastle player anymore, simple. But Bullard will be as well as Cruz for around £7 million as well as Bently with Milner going the other way + 4 mil. Meite is another player coming to SJP for £2 million as well as Kuyt but not part of any Owen deal as Rafa knows that he can spend his money better elsewhere. Keane for example.
