Blackburn Rovers Rumours : i.e just rumours nothing concrete. Allardyce will be given funds if and when the takeover is complete. He be moving for a creative midfielder and a striker and maybe Right Back in january, more then likely both already based in the premier so they can hit the ground running. Niko Kranjcar and Robbie Keane maybe targeted as the availible pair. But he is also said to be extremly keen on a creative Bosnian called Senijad Ibricic who plays for Hadjuk Split but doesn't want to gamble on him in the winter when there going for points. It's also rumoured that he is interested in Kevin Foley from Wolves as competion for Salgado at right back. I don't knowhow much any of these transfers would be possibly be but its thought Ibricic would be in the region of 5 - 7 million hance the gamble ?(4)(8)

After the takeover of Blackburn has been completed the club will bid for Roque Santa Cruz, currently of Manchester City who has confirmed he is looking to leave Eastlands as soon as possible. Blackburn would love to bring the striker back to Ewood Park and Sam Allardyce will have the funds after the takeover goes through.(10)(4)

Thomas Helveg spotted in norwich. has just completed his coaching badges and is looking to start his career at his former club. 100% true

Wishful thinking maybe. His Norwich spell was a bit lackluster and didn't exactly make an impact. He spent 6 years in Italy top flight winning champions league coppa italia and serie a, and he was captain of denmark I reckon he can get a really top club. Also have to say why rock the boat Lambert is doing a top top job.(1)(7)

 26 Oct 2010 17:46:26
Alan Smith has agreed to come to Leeds on loan in principle. Clubs only need to agree fees. Good source.(18)(25)

To the Spud in dream land that wrote this.
Why would spurs get rid of bale and get a player who plays where we already have vdv? snjeider is quality but give me bale anyday. True that liverpool mant pavlychenko and dos santos.

Are you being serious when you say that you would have Bale or Snjeider? Please don't write such rubbish by showing yourself up with that again.(0)(11)

 26 Oct 2010 17:23:12
Whoever wrote this:-

believe hodgson will have a flexible budget of around £30million probobly stretching to £35 million, i firmly believe that they need to sign two wingers, striker and a left back atleast. From what players have told the media and who i believe we can realistically sign i belive we should move for

Left back- Fabio Coentrao- £16mil

Wingers-1. Ibrahim Aefelly- £6-7mil (avaliable for a cut down price as his contract runs out in the summer, he has also publicly expressed his desire to join Liverpool)
2.Ashley Young or Shawn Wright Phillips-£15mil or £8mil respectivly. (personally i would prefer young as i think hes more of an all round and flexible player, i do however believe wright phillips is a good enough option if the moeny isn't there to buy young)

Strikerwise- Diego Forlan/ Fernando Llorente or Roman Pavlychenko- 314mil/ £16mil or £13mil. (In terms of these three i do not have a preferance between either of them as they all have brilliant goal scoring records at their current clubs and would all be playable alongside torres)

Come on lets have a bit of realism in these prices, Llorente has a 36 mill euro buy out clause, is currently second top scorer in La Liga and is top of Real's list as their next striker, he will not go for £16 mill more like £30 mill
Coentrao is now regarded as one of the best left backs around after a great season last year at Benfica and an excellent world cup, he will cost a lot more than £16 mill
Ibrahim Afellay's contract is running down but he has a lot of admirers and recently also said La Liga is his favourite league, so it sounds as if he's really looking for the biggest club he can get and with so many clubs looking at him despite his contract running down he could still cost more than 6 or 7 mill
I doubt Forlan will cost 314 mill though but assume that was just a typo
All good players mind bar maybe SWP, just a bit wide of the mark on some prices (3)(16)

 26 Oct 2010 17:26:19
Man City are preparing a £16mil plus Pablo Zabaleta bid for liverpools Glen Johnson.(14)(27)

 26 Oct 2010 17:21:44
Steven Defour has just today admitted he could leave S.Liege in January.he said he knows that Man United have been watching his situation very closely.im almost 100% sure he will be a United player next year-12M will be enough.a goal keeper(probable neuer-12M) and a winger(PROBABLY Sanchez-20M)will follow him i believe.ins january-1.neuer/ lindegaard 2.DEFINITELY Defour-12M 3.sanchez-20M(23)(9)

 26 Oct 2010 17:09:15
Ibrahim affellay will join either man, utd or at.madrid this january.afellay originaly wanted to move to spain but with man.utd declaring there interest he is stalling on a move as he weighs up a move to old trafford.expect him to move for about 7million as his contract is up in the summer.(11)(9)

 26 Oct 2010 16:41:03
Blackburn will be taken over by Indian company Venky in the next few weeks.
Big Sam's targets for January:

Mame Biram Diouf (MAN U) Permanent Deal-5m
Steven Taylor (NEWCASTLE) 5m
Niko Kranjcar (SPURS) 7m
Steve Sidwell (VILLA) 3m
Vedran Corluka (SPURS) 6m(11)(10)

This could total up to about £46million which is probobly more than the owners are prepared to splash out. Therefore i believe we should sell Aquilani on to Juventus for £10mil and let Babel go for another £8mil which would give us an overall budget of £48million including sales. In the summer of 2011 i would then concentrate on buying a proper good quality Defensive-Midfielder, and maybe another defender.

The starting line-up would then be,
Reina
Johnson Carragher Agger/ Skrtel Coentrao
Wright Phillips Gerrard Cole Aeffelly
Forlan/ Llorente Torres
The only problem with this lineup is there is no holding midfielder, something the club will need to adress in the summer.(1)(9)

Liverbird,

Can't see how we can get away with not making any significant signings in January. At the very least this season, we have to have an eye on a Europa League place. At our current rate, even this is a big ask but if the new owners have money to invest in the squad we have to do it at the first opportunity.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I though that Edison Cavani moved to Napoli in the summer and Simon Kjaer went to Wolfsburg (I think. . defo somewhere in Germany), so can't see how or why they would want/ be allowed to move again so soon after.

Any old signing won't do though. So far, the likes of Konchesky and Poulson have been a complete waste of money. If Hodgson is going to use whatever funds we may have in the same way, we'd be better of getting rid of him because players of that standard are not what we need. Our squad is already overflowing with rubbish, don't need anymore.

Rumours regarding Liverpool:
What i've been told from a source close to Sammy Lee is that there will be no major signings in january, however there will be a reasonable budjet available for the summer window.
That is all i was told, so i don't no any players, , only the manager knows that but i think we can expect something like this:
January
In: A rb no more than £3.5m eg try for miguel or l.young.
A bid for a dm eg l.diarra, muntari but won't but the gut and only place one bid during that window then pursue intrest in summer.
and a bid for stricker eg c.cole.

Summer:
Cb: Kjaer
Lb(coentrao)
Dm(darra, muntari) if not in january
Wingers: Bently, A.young
Stricker: Cavani ect.

Also big clearout likes of Maxi, Poulsen, leaving.

To that farker who say sheik is a man utd fan and all out to destroy man city, don't know the facts don't sputter rubbish. He won't invest another 40mil into a club just to destroy it moreover Man city is PLC like man utd and their shares will rise and he get back his quid so for your rubbish about him crippling the club please use ur PEA brain and think about it before hurting city fans! Even if he quit the club leaving it in debts due to wages they can sell the excess bags of players to cut wages too and once again PEA brain on you stupid man utd fan trying to sputter rubbish about man city

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

As I mentioned in my post, while I doubt Mansour is aiming to cripple City, you need to use your own PEA brain to realise that it won't be as simple as selling off the players to cover the debt, should he decide to jump ship.

Have you considered the fact that in many cases, City have paid far in excess of true market value for players, not to mention their ridiculous salaries (Yaya Toure springs to mind! ).

Who are City going to sell these players to? Some will undoubteldy attract interest from numerous clubs but I'm afraid that substantial losses will result from the majority of sales.

I'm sure City paid £18 Million (approx) for Nigel De Jong. I need say no more on that, he's hopeless, a thug and worth a fraction of that!

I'm not sure, in your criticism of others, that you have thought this through properly.

Who's the PEA brain now then?

With the takeover of Blackburn Rovers expected to go through next month, Sam Allardyce will be hoping for £10m to spend in January.

Targets for Blackburn include:

Aaron Wildig (Cardiff)
Denni Avdic (Elfsborg)
Daniel Agger (Liverpool)
Robbie Keane (Spurs)
Chris Smalling (Man Utd - LOAN)
Allan McGregor (Rangers)

are you on drugs or something pall if you say allardyce has 10m to spend then he can forget about McGregor as he would cost at least 10m on his own also he wouldn't leave rangers to join a wee team in England he will go to man u or stay at ibrox. simples also keane would cost 5m agger 3m and not sure bout the rest so that would be at least 18m somehow it just don't add up but keep playing footy manager or fiffa cauz that's the only way crapburn will get any of those players(6)(22)
