There is money in the club but they are placing this to oneside due to the possibilty of a new stadium.
One the government have made the decision we will either be bought out,(as their are investors waiting on the outcome) or we will release the funds.

There is a verbal agreement in place between Arsenal and Man City regarding the transfer of Kolo Toure, the fee is believed to be around £15m. The deal is being held up by Arsenal's proposal for a swap deal, which would see Toure move to Eastlands, with around £5–8m + Micah Richards come to North London. The other major deal set to take place is none other than Klaas Jan Huntelaar moving to Arsenal. With the Dutchman having already knocked back Stuttgart and Spurs poised to complete the signing of Peter Crouch, the Emirates seems the obvious destination. Wenger is lining up a £16.5m bid for the Real Madrid striker who is desparate to find a place in a champions league side, having been left out of Real's champions league squad last season, and with Raul, Higuain, Benzema, Negredo, v.Nistelrooy, Kaka and Ronaldo all to compete with at Real, it seems a move to the Emirates is very likely.
There will be no need for a DM next season as Cesc can sit back when Nasri goes foward and Nasri can sit back when Cesc goes foward, as each player has attacking and defensive capabilities. With a team like this, trophies are surely on the way next season.

I play amateur football with a guy who works with a top insurance firm. his offices r in glasgow and one of there contracts is to top spl clubs. He told me that on friday 24th they insured new celtic signing Fox for £4 million pound. This figure was agreed as celtic payed £2.6 million upfront with a further £1 million plus in add ons so the figure quoted in the media were way wide of the mark. Also there will be 3 more signings from them 1 big signing , sum eastern european guy. the 2 other signings will be 2 young guys from bulgaria/ or hungary, they were getting shown round celtic park last wednesday (22nd).
you all might think these r just crap but to let u no i'm a rangers fan who shares a season ticket with my dad in the copland road , front stand.

Essien in fact favoured a move to Chelsea over Man Utd when he moved from Lyon originally, so i doubt that he would now want to move there now, considering that he had the chance to go there and didn't, and is now settled in London and signed a new long term contract. Just because someone supports a club as a child doesn't mean that they automatically want to go there as a professional. Its not really that black and white.
With Terry staying at chelski, city will now wrap up a deal for Toure this week and step up their efforts to get Lescott. The offer will prove to good to turn down with Moyes using the money to sign Turner from Hull and Hutton from Spurs. Expect this to all happen over next two weeks.

I think you'll find that Ellis did not put Villa into debt, hence why he was so tight–fisted on transfers. Quite a few transfers for good players could have gone through (Robbie Keane was one under the Ellis reign), but Ellis refused to budge on prices.

Vidic to Man City what are these people on, the only way vidic will leave OT will be to a top side on the continent in probably a years time. Vidic would like to go now but SAF has persuaded him to do a Ronaldo and stay one more year.
