27 Jun 2013 22:39:33
Walsall have confirmed Richard O Donnell, a young goalkeeper who originally came through the ranks at Sheffield Wednesday is on trial with them. He is believed to be one of three or four goalkeepers on Dean Smith's radar. This includes ex Blackburn youngster Christopher Dilo according to reports.

O'Donnell is a good keeper I was very surprised Chesterfield let him go. Ventress

This is the type of player for Walsall one we can develop further and not a big time Charlie unlike other players who were in our squad.

Im a Wednesday fan and was gutted we let him go quality keeper

What; has o'donnell gone!

27 Jun 2013 22:39:21
Heard this from a couple of people that middlesbrough main target in positions are to get another pacey winger (adomah) to sort the defence out and get a proven championship goalscorer (becchio) on loan from Norwich

The whole world knows what the boro needs but are the manager and chairman listening to the fans. as usual me thinks not!

So today we're losing another striker from an already small striker force. Just how many do you think we have?

28 Jun 2013 16:09:43
Dont worry. There is a plan?! All the team will be defensive midfielders and Defenders and the goalkeeper will go up for corners in the last minute and score. So we will win every game 1-0 and be champions! SIMPLES!

27 Jun 2013 22:33:18
Former Chesterfield 'keeper Richard O'Donnell one of several goalkeepers on trial at Walsall.

27 Jun 2013 22:25:42
Kevin Philips has been offered a one-year contract with Reading. Nigel Adkins wants the experienced striker to replace Noel Hunt who has been released and looks set for a reunion with Brian McDermott at LOLeeds.

Don't think that's gunna happen I may be wrong though

Will never happen, I'm an RFC fan and Philips has already said things got agreed for one more year at Palace before the summer break up just need to be signed

This won't happen a) to old and we already have Roberts and b) we tried to do a deal when we were relegated from the prem last time but Nick Hammond and Reading FC won't deal with his agent, so Philips ended up at Birmingham

Another 4 players set to sign for Bury in the next few days

Robbie Blake
Kevin Long - Season loan
Jason Kennedy
Zander Diamond

It seems a lot of players are being linked with Bury fc now that they finally signed their first 3 players of the pre-season.

None of those players mentioned particuarly excite me.

Kevin Long! The same player who was in the Burnley team for the 2nd half of the season? No way.

Players don't have to excite, it's like the brazil national side most of them don't excite they know how to win games and add abit of quality, it's what bury need is to win games whether its good or ugly football. I could see long and kennedy to be useful to bury

28 Jun 2013 15:33:05
Y would jason kennedy go to bury when he has all ready dtated he wants to go home his destnation is more likley bristol rovers.

So Kennedy wants to go home, so he won't go to Bury but in fact even further away to Bristol?
Heard Kennedy deal will be done at bury next week after he's had his medical.

Kennedy linked to Hartlepool and that is most certainly "coming home" he's from the doorstep so to speak.

Adrin Ramos of Hertha BSC is in england for talks over a £2.5 million move to west brom

27 Jun 2013 22:06:15
Reading have been given assurances that their application for Category 1 status is on track. They hope to have it formalised over the summer.

Reading have already started looking to utilise their Category 1 status by bringing in players from clubs with Category 2 and 3 status.

Their first signing will be 15 year old Icelandic youngster Ragnar Mr Lrusson who signed for Brighton on a scholarship in April and is due to link up with the side over the summer.

John Morling is said to be "furious" that Reading have been able to poach this player and is doing everything possible to stop the move happening, but Reading have convinced Lrusson that he could be the "next Gylfi Sigurdsson". They have offered him a two year scholarship with a further one year professional deal.

Awesome! we have had a good history with Icelandic players! I love seeing our academy develop players

I have heard a rumour that watford have poached Dominic Samuel from reading's academy.

28 Jun 2013 15:08:42
good history of poaching them off clubs

Sorry--but what interest is this to Brighton Fans?

Dom is not in the Academy anymore, first teamer now!

I hope not he looks quality

Dominic Samuel signed a professional contract in 2012 so they couldn't poach him from our academy. They'd have to buy him.

Dom Samuel poached don't make me chuckle

{Ed029's Note - Samuel can't be poached. It's likely he may go out on loan to a League 1 club this season, but he's very highly thought of at Reading. No chance of selling either.

Same old Reading, can't scout for their own players, let Brighton do it for them, even do the same with managers,

{Ed029's Note - Funny, we scouted over 900 games last season and pinched Fulham's chief scout.

Same old Reading? the thing is it's not the "same old Reading" so get used to it.

27 Jun 2013 21:48:04
Akenfenwa to sign for wycombe on a 2 year deal

Hope not!

27 Jun 2013 21:13:51
Middlesbrough ready to swoop for Albert adomah, 800k + Farris harruon and Marouane Zemmama!

Boro have been signing Adomah for 3 seasons now. it will never happen. he wants to stay south

I would keep harruon, he's a good squad player to have.
Zemmama on the other hand. your welcome to him, such a disappointment, came to the boro with high expectations and just like the boro last season, fizzled away to nothing

27 Jun 2013 21:11:52
Leyton Orient and Shrewsbury Town are battling over winger Scott Wagstaff.

Orient already have Dean Cox, Moses Odubajo and Shaun Batt.

Not sure we need another winger. He can play up front though. And we need another two strikers.

Reading FC Chairman Anton Zingarevich has finally reached an agreement to buy Lechia Gdansk for 8m. Zingarevich entered talks to buy the Polish side in June last year but initially cooled interest when Chairma Bartosz Sarnowski leaked details of Zingarevich's interest to the media.

Talks the last few months have been promising with Zingarevich looking for ways to expand his sporting investments. He has also just finalised the purchase of Russian hockey team Atlant.

Through ownership of Lechia, Zingarevich is looking to bring Lechia to the forefront of the Ekstraklasa whilst using the polish team to support the growth of Reading Football Club. Thames Sports Investments, owned by Zingarevich but subsidised heavily by his father Boris Zingarevich (worth over £3. 4bn) will be investing heavily in the infrastructure at Lechia as well as increasing the playing budget. He wants to promote the intake of youth players, send developing players from Reading to Lechia, and vice versa, to experience a different league and use the polish side to help acquire European travel documents for talented players from outside of Europe.

Reading will be sending a team of coaches to work with Lechia's youth team as well Lechia staff coming to experience the infrastructure at Reading.

Additionally, Reading have sent scouts out to partner team Ocean City who are hosting trials for a select group of American youth players. Reading have recently brought goalkeeper Aleksandar Gogic who was recommended to them by Ocean City, and feel that there is untapped potential out there.

US men's u17 captain Shaq Moore recently spent time with the Berkshire side and an agreement is in place for him to link up with the team again later in the year.

Thanks! I love this kind of info! very interesting

27 Jun 2013 20:58:17
Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama is in Istanbul speaking to representatives of an unknown team. Both galatasaray and Besiktas are interested the in the young star and could possibly see him in one of those strips next week?

Best place for him and his agent. Big time Charlie who looks overweight and has only had a few decent games in a pub league. 12 million. I don't think so!

OR one of the hottest prospects after a terrific season including top performances against the likes of Benfica, Spartak and Barca. Rhodes 8 mil, Carroll was 35 mil, Henderson 17 mil - Wanyama 12 mil is pretty accurate.

Anyway, he isn't going to Turkey, he'll end up in the EPL. Who knows which club though

Overweight? I think you'll find that's muscle! And a few decent games in a pub league? I think you'll find he was outstanding in the Champions League, especially against Barcelona. £12million is an absolute bargain!

Only a few decent games in a pub league? I think you're forgetting his outstanding performances in the champions league that attracted praise from many big names in the footballing world, silly bafoon.

Haha, overweigh?u having a laugh. Funny how Fifa voted him one of the best young players in Europe.

27 Jun 2013 21:03:26
Just been said on radio peterborough have accepted a bid from palace for striker gayle

If it's 4 million then its a great deal for everyone. Goalscorers in Div 1 only cost 500K

Understood to be 6 million plus add ons.

Dwight Gayle is reported to be at Palace discussing terms and undergoing medical, with a transfer fee reported to be £6 million having been agreed (Source Peterborough Telegraph)

27 Jun 2013 20:48:50
Leeds will be signin Noel hunt and maybe matt mills on loans but will not sign no one else until they sell at least 3 or they have new owners!

Hunt is on a free!?

It's the wages, not the fee that's the issue.

Berty

Loaning Noel Hunt from who exactly? He's a Free Agent as of Monday.

Yes but he gets paid for playing or is he playing for free

28 Jun 2013 14:35:55
Having seen him he should play for free!

27 Jun 2013 20:42:30
Belhanda has chosen Villa. according to reports in France. Lambert wants squad ready for pre season early.

27 Jun 2013 20:37:12
Harry Forrester will sign for Doncaster soon and i'm a Brentford fan.

Are you or is that just a rumour too?

Forrester will sign

27 Jun 2013 20:36:37
Talksport are saying that peterborough have accepted a bid for gayle from palace

Radio Cambs are reporting that Palace are trying hard to complete the deal but are finding POSH's asking price too expensive. Interview with peterborough later today

27 Jun 2013 20:31:42
Swindon Town looking to take Spurs midfielder and England U20 international Alex Pritchard on a season long loan.

Very good player but I can't see this one happening

27 Jun 2013 20:27:13
Jason Kennedy has agreed a deal with Bury. Medical was delayed today due to family circumstances.

Dont think so!!!!

27 Jun 2013 20:03:52
Harry Forrester will not resign for Brentford, and will sign for either Doncaster, Ipswich or Leeds.

Surely between Ipswich and Leeds. hopefully Ispwich as he'd get a start every game!

Looks like Doncaster have won the race, Forrester reportedly joining them on trial after Ipswich interest cooled.

He's training with donny

27 Jun 2013 19:42:07
Exeter's Alan Gow is Cheltenham's number one transfer target.

Going to brfc

Alan signed new two year contract with Exeter back in May

Cheltenham are leading the chase to sign Gow.

28 Jun 2013 13:38:16
Would quite like to see Gow join us and I am sure we could afford the fee. Which wing does he play on though?

Don't think he is. CTFC won't be bringing in many more players and don't need Gow (already enough in position).

CTFC won't be bringing in any more players? How do you propose Cheltenham cope in League Two next season with only 14 players then?!

27 Jun 2013 19:39:58
the third choice strip is as dull as our play was last season and the shorts for all strips are like something Willie Waddell would have worn.
Pathetic comes to mind.
Anyone who doesn't see this must have been in Danny Kayes song about the king in his altogether!

27 Jun 2013 19:20:12
Bradford City set to sign Luke Guttridge.

Doubt it very much. More likely to sign for a southern club.

Not good enough for L1 so doubt it

Hope not, like the person above, not good enough for league 1.

27 Jun 2013 18:42:52
West Brom's have identified a long list of striker who could potential replace departing striker Romelu Lukaku, Peter Odemwingie and Marc-Antoine Fortune.

Potential targets are a mix of free transfers, potential loan options and those requiring larger fees: Bony, Kone, Toivonen, Altidore, Caicedo, Mboyo, Gomis, Remy, Vydra, Di Santo, Santa Cruz, Ba.

Whilst some of those players are more realistic options due their potential (or lack of) fees, others are merely players of interest who's fees may inflate to a level beyond the clubs reach.

Remy and Ba are way out of WBA reach the wages of 1 of them would be double that of the £40K highest wage the club would pay!MOVE ON!

Bony, Ba and remy would be my list of main strikers in which we need one, don't care bout the others just get a free like di santo

Yeah, get Di Santo. He'd make a great replacement for Lukaku, but only if you thought replacing Usain Bolt with Stephen Hawking was a terrific idea.

Wait and see whose left to be signed when the transfer window opens in july because with bony apparently signing for swansea for 10 m mbokani gone to kiev even though many in the know (you know who you are) said it was a done deal, gone its clear wba are just waiting for messi, ronaldo to put in their requests and then the baggies will pounce, as peace stated 1 (one) big marquee signing (marquee to wba =5m) rest being freebies,

Di Santo no. He is not the answer. Agree with comment about replacing Bolt with Stephen Hawking. It would be great to get Bony (although he is strongly linked with Swansea). How is it a club like Swansea cold offer approx 10 mill for a player. No disrespect but surely they are not that big a club

Santa cruz, seriously

27 Jun 2013 19:16:22
Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell is in talks with Reading after the two clubs agreed a £1.5m fee to bring the midfielder back to his former club.

If only

Not saying it isn't true but why would we need another Centre mid we already have loads if were going to buy surely it a attacking mid or striker

That would great as long as he puts in a better shift 2nd time around than his mate shorey!

We have just signed a midfielder so I don't think so

I personally can't see this happening, we've just signed an (albeit defensive) midfielder for £3 million. However, if Adkins will be using 4231 next season, ie 2 CDM's and 1 CAM, The thought of Karacan, Guthrie, Akpan, Sidwell and Williams makes me a little excited

I wouldn't mind sidwell leaving he may be determined but that could produce funds for a creative midfielder to play the balls through to Berba and another striker to buy.

27 Jun 2013 19:16:22
Fulham midfielder Steve Sidwell is in talks with Reading after the two clubs agreed a £1.5m fee to bring the midfielder back to his former club.

After just signing yet another CM for a rumored 2million I can't see us signing an oldie for another two. Especially if it takes out first team CM count up to 9

What? Why? how many centre mids do we need?

I personally dislike his playing style so would be happy to see him leave. Especially with £1m profit.

28 Jun 2013 09:29:40
Actually, its a £1. 45m profit

28 Jun 2013 14:42:54
cant see it happening, great player for us, but I think its a step backwards

27 Jun 2013 19:06:44
Despite missing out on Ashley Grimes, Cheltenham are keen on wrapping up a deal for former Port Vale midfielder Ryan Burge.

Good player if you get him but his attitude seems to be a problem

Cheltenham are not looking for another central midfielder

He wants to go to Championship, so can't see him going to League 2 just for sentimental reasons.

Why aren't we looking for another centre midfielder? We need a replacement for Pack.

28 Jun 2013 13:37:26
We released Ryan a couple of years back as youngster and although he would love to come back we would want better I am sure.

Thank goodness - someone else who appreciates that players don't do things for sentimental reasons! Although I don't think Burge has a hope of getting in a Championship team.

One that I hope CTFC don't sign up - attitude has been mentioned, I'm not convinced he's up to the level.

27 Jun 2013 19:05:40
Cheltenham are in search of a target man. Rene Howe and Mathieu Manset are top of the list.

Howe is not wanted by Cheltenham.

Mathieu has held negotiations with Wigan, doubtful that he will drop two leagues of his ambition.

Howe might happen, but there are other clubs after him aswell.

Manset won't drop to League Two.

27 Jun 2013 19:04:48
Huddersfield are set to loan striker Jimmy Spencer out to Cheltenham. Spencer spent the 2010/11 on loan with the Robins.

Why don't they just give him to Cheltenham and be done with it?

27 Jun 2013 20:49:07
No disrespect to Jimmy but he is not good enough for us (Cheltenham) anymore.

Looks like a decent prospect, defo needs loaning out to league 1 for some much needed experience

Not good enough for us anymore? Jimmy did well for us, I'd be happy to see him back.

28 Jun 2013 02:19:04
I hear Norwood wants to leave hope its wrong give the lad a chance good player if you ask me. should get Dwight Gayle signed.

Favourite Jimmy moment - when he flipped opposition goalkeepers ear when ref was not looking.

He was good, but he lost his temper too easy and tried to force things. Still, would welcome him back, need few more forward-minded players, can't let defenders again to do scoring for us ;)

Would free p&p and delivery make any difference to you chelts fans?

28 Jun 2013 13:35:52
Spencer couldn't even hold down a first team place last time he was here, he would be behind Cureton and Harrison for starters and we would want better I am sure.

Theres more chance of a one legged cat burying a turd on a frozen pond than seeing Simon Church score a goal.

this was on a previous post, just thought it need more recognition because its funny, what a joker

I would definitely take him as another attacking option if we can't bring in our main targets.

Why keep loaning him? If he ain't good enough, just sell him, it'd be much easier every season. Same with Ridehalgh. I say either keep them and give them a chance, or get rid of them for good.

Bearing mind that I actually haven't seen much of these two players, so I'd like to see them in action at one point to get my opinion on them.

Church signs 3 year deal,

Church signs 3 year deal ~ which one catholic, c of e, anglican or maybe an overseas deal: greek orthodox

Church is shocking as he proved to us last season, wouldn't bother with him again this season.

27 Jun 2013 19:03:31
Kevin Phillips set to end his career with a year long deal at middlesbrough!

Just as well he made a statement the other day about serving Palace in the Prem for a last year before retiring then. Why would a London lad contemplate life in Smoggie land when he's going to retire anyway? Your havin a laugh

27 Jun 2013 20:45:59
Rumours at the Wolves we have offered him player coach role. Which has made him think 2 about 1 more year at palace. He still lives locally to wolves and son is in age groups. So it may just have given him something to think about.

While I doubt the original story, is your point really "Kevin Phillips would never live outside of London"? Have you followed his career at all?

He wants to stay at Palace. Wish Boro fans would stop linking themselves with everyone under the sun. Catania will be next probably

Doesnt look like any more new signings this week heard a rumour were chasing mcormack at Leeds

It's not boro fans linking themselves with everyone under the sun, it's just a load of random names thrown about

No point at all. we could have had him years ago when he chained himself to our gates (not literally though)
just another woodgate to roll out on important games and paying ridiculous wages for 10 out of 46 games

27 Jun 2013 19:02:47
Cheltenham have held talks with midfielder Scott Arfield. Negotiations are at an early stage.

27 Jun 2013 19:00:18
Marvin Morgan is set to become the third former Aldershot player to sign for Cheltenham.

Wouldn't say no to a goalscorer but I don't think he's MY's type of player.

27 Jun 2013 18:52:45
cody McDonald coming on trial to Colchester ideal move as family live in nearby witham

Leyton orient

Shock horror, orient linked with a player if colchester are?!

Suprised they haven't signed matt heath after we let him go

Signed today for Col U. Get in there!

Doubt this is true anyway as Colchester have signed Sanchez Watt today

Has mcdonald signed?

No McDonald hasn't signed and Col U
will be looking for a GK and DL now.
We have forwards thanks, Morrison, Ibhere, Sears

27 Jun 2013 18:52:08
Cheltenham are set to turn their attention to Luke Guttridge, Gavin Williams and Rene Howe after missing out on key targets including Ashley Grimes.

27 Jun 2013 18:47:56
afc bournemouth have completed the signing of ex reading defender ian harte the 35 year old has agreed a 1 year contract simeon jackson also to sign 2 year deal by sunday 2 good signings

Jackson?

You got yourself a good player there to slow for the prem but harty is a very clever player think we should have maybe kept him for another year

28 Jun 2013 11:28:20
Harte's never been very 'pacey'. Reads the ball well & obviously, his set pieces are legendary. Good signing. Clever Eddie!

Very old but still very good player, his deliveries are second to none!

Jackson currently away with Canada so I doubt anything will happen any time soon!

27 Jun 2013 18:25:21
ex Reading left-back Ian Harte has signed for Bournemouth.

27 Jun 2013 18:12:04
John Cofie on trial at Blackpool will sign next week.

Mackenize
Crains will sign his contract
GTF will to
So will broadfoot
Thats four playersthat currently aren't regstered as players for us next season

Sorry but crainey is going to sign for wigan, can't see GTF signing, broadfoot might if he doesn't get a better offer, I'm very fearful for the coming season can't see ince putting up with oyston beyond January

Crains of to wigan and gtf would take about 4 months to get fit so no thanks

Crainey has signed for Wigan

Sorry. but I'm glad to see the back of GTF & Crains. great servants for the club but it's time for new blood.

We should offer Broadfoot what he wants as he's proved he quality in defence (but is a s##t right back)

27 Jun 2013 18:09:08
Manchester United make 13m improved bid for Baines.

Think that needs to be at least £20 million, best left back in the prem and I'm a liverpool fan

27 Jun 2013 22:03:28
£20m at least, Moyes isn't on the same planet and has a very short memory.

27 Jun 2013 22:56:42
didn't moyes say last year that a bid of £12m for baines was an insult. I know he's a year older now but seriously what a clown

27 Jun 2013 18:02:52
Nick Blackman is believed to rejoin Sheffield United on loan that must mean Reading are signing Hooper or Austin.

You just put 2 and 2 together and got 47

27 Jun 2013 18:01:42
Reading will try and sign Rickie Lambert and Billy Sharp with Adam Le Fondre going the other way, nick Blackman is off to Sheffield United

Two prem players for one champ striker yeah right dream on no chance lambert will drop division you may get sharp for 1-2m

Sorry bud not a chance on lambert! Billy is a go and I feel sorry for him not being given s crack in thd biv time and no thankyou to alfie! Good player but not for us

Why would Lambert consider dropping down a league in what might be his last season in the top flight? And why would southampton even want to sell their top scorer from last season?

27 Jun 2013 18:00:48
Heard that grigg is going to sign for sheffield utd and we will be signing matthew barnes homer to replace him. But many more clubs are looking at him after being top scorer in conference and he had 2 months out.

Tv seem to think he is going to brentford

27 Jun 2013 18:00:20
dundee united will complete the loan signing of david goodwillie friday morning

27 Jun 2013 17:58:36
Bournemouth are set to complete the signing of forward danny ings from burnley

You don't give up dude. He ain't coming back because we don't want him

You mean, he isn't going back because you can't afford him.

27 Jun 2013 21:46:19
Don't want him back. Need a big front man. Ings is too small. IMO

Who said he not wanted eddie howe said he our top transfer target on cherries player

C'mon Bournemouth, you know you really want Ings. Eddie Howe wants to build the team around Danny.

The latest coming out of Dean Court is that interest in Ings has cooled as they and Burnley are miles apart in their valuation. IMO that's good because I don't rate Ings at all and don't want to see him back. We need a big, quick target man proven at this level and higher. Rumour has it Simeon Jackson is now the target and as he'd be coming on a free the club could offer decent wages.

27 Jun 2013 17:56:21
Can't tell you how I know but Ross McCormack is going to boro.

Because you don't no

27 Jun 2013 20:43:20
Wouldn't get his game for boro, we don't want him

You must mean peterboro,

28 Jun 2013 12:46:21
haha can't believe you just said he would get a game. he's better than most off boro players

27 Jun 2013 17:42:58
as I posted a few weeks ago macdonald would become swindon youth supremo and stuart pearce would become manager. this is all about to happen. swindon are likely to have new owners by the time the season starts. pearce has left his position with england and bodin has left his position at swindon. all is happening behind the scenes.

This is quite a common topic of conversation in the town, wouldn't be surprised

No truth in this at all.

Not true, Paul bodin was leaving any way because he is trying to sue the football club because of how he was treated when mr Di canio was here, what it's got to go with the club and directors now is beyond me, with Stuart Pearce its all pie in the sky and not true post again when he becomes manager and I will eat my hat, I don't think I will be eating my hat for a long time, I will also come back to remind you.

Trouble is rumors are read and expected to happen straight away-told you at the beginning this rumor was a slow burner-but this is a rumour that will come true-just give it time -other things need to happen 1st. by the time the season kicks of swindon will have new investment/owners and stuart pearce will be manager with kmac in his new role

27 Jun 2013 17:27:22
Paul Ince wants John Cofie and Neal Bishop to sign for Blackpool, both played together at Notts County.

Cofie was on loan at Notts for a month last season & Bishop mutually terminated his contract with Notts 2 weeks ago.

You need a new source.

The same Paul Ince that offered to resign from Blackpool today?

Blackpool will sign another young Man United player released, next week along with Cofie.

27 Jun 2013 17:16:24
Yeovil have brought in six trialists during pre season training these are,
Ryan Dickson,
Seth Nana Omuri-Twumasi,
Kieffer Moore,
Davide Grassi,
Gary Deegan,
Jordan Robertson.
Also signed Joel Grant and Sam Hoskins on 2 year deals on a free transfer and 19 year old Joe Jones from Leicester on a 6 month contract!

Kieffer moore on trail at cafc

Nope he is at YTFC. but not very excited about these. in johnson we trust though

He's now on trial at Charlton Athletic.

27 Jun 2013 17:13:09
Walsall currently have Omari Sterling-James, Joel Purkiss and ex hereford midfielder James McQuilkin on trial and are in talks with former stoke midfielder Michael Clarkeson (1yr), Tprquay striker Rene Howe (2yr) and Villa striker Jordan Bowery on a season long loan.

Sterling james is allready part our reserves an youth

No, he has just been on trial with us since January. They have played him in the reserves as a 'trial'. I believe he came through the ranks at bham city before going to alvechurch.

You won't get jordan bowery

27 Jun 2013 17:02:32
Steve Morison to go on season long loan to Millwall F. C

Some people have 'SHORT' memories! IF TRUE?

HOPE NOT.

This is just so much nonsense. Lomas is having talks with Reading striker Simon Church, ex-Ipswich winger Lee Martin and Middlesbrough's Nicky Bailey.

Rob Hulse, Dany N'Guessan, John Marquis, Jermaine Easter. You seriously want to tell me that you would rather have any of the above over Steve Morison? So he moaned about wanting to leave to go to the Premiership - who wouldn't want a move to the prem?
Morison by far would be better than what we have - yes please.

Millwall have been offered matt ethrington on a free from stoke (source talksh*te)

If this is 'true'? i do 'hope' that he 'isn't' mr. moody any more? he 'does' know where the 'goal is'!

HOPE NOT? SHORT MEMORIES? some people haven't got a clue! Morison is easily one of the most gifted strikers to ever play for us! All round stirker and natural finisher!

I think a hell of a lot more people would want him back then wouldnt!

Steve morison back where he belongs lone to be confirmed later. glad to have him back at the wall

Believe me its going to happen, confirmation this afternoon.

28 Jun 2013 11:34:25
I have just heard this on twitter along with John Bostock rumor.

This is Practically a Done Deal on a season Long Loan From What I've Seen On Various Sites. Its a step in the right direction as unlike any striker last season (he scores goals)

NONSENSE?

The blokes just signed!

The deal is done one year loan no call back allowed

27 Jun 2013 17:00:11
Shrewsbury are set to annouce 3 new signings on Monday 1st July. Any ideas? COYB

Sanchez Watt. According to my source it's a done deal.

Sanchez watt just signed for Colchester

Watt gone to Colchester. awkward.

Watt signed for another league 1 club keep up!

Signed for Colchester. and another one bites the dust!

Sanchez Watt signed for Colchester today, so he's not coming!

27 Jun 2013 16:57:17
now maghoma is lost, boro will use their full force to sign albert adomah.

Boro didn't want Maghoma for the 1st team. That was why he went elsewhere. As for Adomah we have no chance and don't really need him with Caryol and Reach. We need a goalscorer and a BIG centreback

27 Jun 2013 16:56:24
Barnsley believed to be one of the clubs monitoring
young Manchester United striker john cofie

Has Cofie been linked with Barnsley before Ed? I thought he had already turned is down. {Ed003's Note - Don't think so mate,there was something in the press yesterday linking him with championship clubs,that's all I can find.}

With Watkins on board, could be a good chance to get some youngsters in from Utd on loan. You Reds!

Cofie was released by man utd, he's a free agent

Get him if he is free

27 Jun 2013 16:39:21
18 year old French left back Benjamin Mendy is signing for Sunderland. The hot prospect chased by a number of clubs including Arsenal has decided to join Sunderland after both clubs agreed a fee. BLACKCAT

27 Jun 2013 16:38:56
Yeovil have former southampton LB Ryan Dickson on trail at the club. He hopes to impress Gary Johnson and his staff enough to earn a contract at the Championship Club.

Trial? Bit of an insult to a very good player.

Not really an insult when you take into account his ankle operation this year, he's hardly ever played a full season, and his only Championship playing time (3 games) was 9 years ago.

I didn't think he was able to kick a ball before August. what's he going to do on trial?

This is one of the only things on the yeovil page that is actually correct, he's amongst 6 other trialists

27 Jun 2013 16:37:25
just heard WATFORD hoping to sign Adel Taarabt! what a signing that will be!

27 Jun 2013 17:43:11
Hes a joke mate. forget him

No chance

Overpaid overrated. Doesn't fit the pozzo model, and he'd demand far too high wages too.

Can bring in, and are bringing in far far better for far cheaper.

Hope, my friend, being the most important word in your post.

There's no way Watford would sign such a selfish, overrated, one dimensional player.

28 Jun 2013 09:49:34
I've this rumour but there is no credible source for it.

I seriously doubt that it will come to anything.

Expecting some more good news today though!

A selfish Forestieri! Not needed.

27 Jun 2013 16:33:51
Any up to date Bristol City transfer news please.

Yes cardiff are taking your best player

Louis Carey is signing for Cardiff?

No, no I think he means Ryan Taylor.

I would be hard pushed to say who our best player is?

On last season it has to be Steve Davis doesn't it?

I think Kelly in midfield will be our most importent this year.

Historicly Albert and Fontaine are the most bankable, but we have missed the boat on making the most cash on both of them.

Saw kilkenny in cardiff earlier by the training ground. Maybe he is moving there?

Lunmie get a grip Kelly our best player are you for real

Please any one sign Kilkenny please

Clearly, he thinks Kilkenny, Taylor, Nyatanga and Fontaine are joining Cardiff as they are the greatest players in city's history

So cardiff are going to sign kilkenny and fontaine in a swap deal for bellamy, frazer campbell and peter whittingham? Lol

Well I suppose we might consider that swap deal

27 Jun 2013 16:30:08
Ex Doncaster player Ryan Burge could be coming back to the rovers and absent from training Paul Quinn is heading to Burnley on trail

Let Paul Quinn go. Would want to see more of an attacking full back this season

Quin was excellent for us last season.

He was awfull in the Coventry game

27 Jun 2013 16:29:07
Oxford united to sign Pablo mills on a two year deal

A lot of baggage with that one. Not sure I like the idea.

I can't believe he's been playing conference football tbh

27 Jun 2013 16:23:51
Doncaster will have Danny Wilson who was going to hearts and Jernade Meade on trail next week also 3 goalkeepers one from the Turkish league. James Harper will have a trial at Bury which could lead to a transfer with Doncaster willing to let him go free. Recently released pair Jordan Ball and Paddy Mullen have been offered trails at Walsall with a view to 2 year deals

27 Jun 2013 16:01:51
Everton will announce John Stones departure for Derby County on Friday. The young defender will join up with the Rams for a season-long loan.

Isnt he abroad with the under 20 England team at the moment?

Is this a Boris rumour?

27 Jun 2013 16:01:02
Everton will use some of the £22m they will receive for Fellaini, to fund moves for Victor Wanyama, Jack Cork and Arouna Kone.

Cork seems to be on Everton's radar. Lot of talk about this in the North West.

27 Jun 2013 15:58:50
Morgan Schneiderlin will be announced as Southampton's new club captain on Friday.

Cracking choice

Decent shout but personally think it should go to Jack Cork. More of a football mind. Schneiderlin is a great runner but Cork has more strategic style.

Has to be rickie or artur for me

Strategic style? WTF?

But Morgan will play more and deserves it over Corky. Love the bloke but I think we'll sign another CDM.

Schneiderlin personifies this club.

Young, been with us for years and runs his heart out every game. Tackles big and pushes forward when he can. He's the perfect choice.

Cork won't always be a regular if plans to bring in another CM are true. Lambert is getting on a bit and won't be playing as often IMO. Would like someone we can hand it to for the long term. The person who said Boruc. are you mad?! Great player but too much of a 'character' to be the leader.

Could make a strong case for both Lallana and Schneiderlin, with Schneiderlin edging it based on consistent performance last year. Would be concerned that it will disrupt his development though, whereas Lallana is used to the 'burden' of captaincy.

Lallana will stay as captain.

I have to agree lallana can't tackle and seems to have lost a bit of confidence when he beats a player he's looking to pass it all the time were in the championship he would beat the player then put it in bottom corner.

Artur boruc or morgan schniderlin artur has got great exp and morgan is an organised stong talker but cork would be a risk not much exp and I also think morgan and artur are leaders.

28 Jun 2013 08:47:56
First 10 games of last season without Cork we were hopeless. He is the organiser and has the best football brain.

I'm getting on-board with the whole strategic style thingy. That can be the phrase of the season. Make it so!

27 Jun 2013 15:58:12
Guly do Prado is in talks over a loan move to Bournemouth from Southampton.

Please let this be true

Why Would he go to there rivals he is quite close to the first team as far as I am aware I have seen h in in the FA cup against Cheltenham and he was class this was 3 years ago so he must be a lot better now (from a Cheltenham fan)

Unfortunately he hasn't progressed as much as you might think, but I couldn't really see him staying in England if he was to be sold, don't think he is suited to the style of football.

27 Jun 2013 20:41:52
No chance don't think he would consider that

Nope! He's got worse, are you sure your not getting mixed up with a game on FIFA or something you might have played?

Bob the bomber :-/

27 Jun 2013 21:42:25
'Rivals' in what sense? They're in the Prem, we're in the Championship. Why is there any reason for him NOT to go on loan to AFCB? Makes perfect sense.

Couldn't care less where he goes, loan or transfer, just get rid of him.

As per ^
"Rivals" what are you on about?
We're only rivals when we share the same league and that's once in a blue moon!
We welcome any 'decent' southampton palyers on loan as it can help both teams.
UTC!

At last, some good news.

I can't see how you can all say how awful Guly is, maybe he isn't quite suited to scoring goals in the prem, but his passing has been the best in the team (when he has played). Added to that, he's a superb championship player, he did score 11 goals down there after all. If he goes to the right team and gets his confidence back, by all means he could get back to his 'glory days'.
But I reckon we should keep him, he's a good squad player and he could score a few goals.

Some people think southampton v Bournemouth is a rivalry. southampton fans don't but a lot of Bournemouth fans do.

Guly did well in the Champ for us, not made that step up for the Prem yet.

Would be a good move for all parties if true

I notice all very few players under contract left the club just went out on loan and southampton supplementing their wages, what a hell of a job it must be to balance the books. Getting rid of players must be cortese's biggest problem

27 Jun 2013 15:57:38
Victor Wanyama has rejected rumours of a move to Galatasaray. The Kenyan would prefer a move to an ambitious Premier League club. Swansea, Everton and Cardiff are all interested.

27 Jun 2013 17:00:42
He is greedy. And so are his agents. Leave him alone and let him STEW

It maybe what he wants but any team is going to have to bid £12 million and pay his agents £1million minimum plus his high wages. Can't see any of these teams doing that

Villa will be signing Wanyama for £7mill plus Ireland! 1 week of july his due in for talks

Villa aren't going to get wanyama for 7 million when they turned down 10 million from Cardiff, even with ireland

Sounds like his agents want 7 million plus Ireland. the country!

I agree for the amount we would end up spending I'd rather see it go on bridcutt yooo an hark personally bluuuuebird

But seriously. Is he going to be a good prem player? Just average if that I reckon! Swans please steer clear, no offence but they seen us coming with ki

Yes its true!

Not Swansea, not enough cash left once they sign a striker or two

27 Jun 2013 15:53:49
Newcastle are prepared for offers for French midfielder Yohan Cabaye. Monaco and PSG are the favourites to sign him, if he opts to leave.
The Magpies, however, are reluctant to let him go for anything below £24m.

24m?not worth half of that or do you mean all of nufc team ;)

27 Jun 2013 13:04:41
Ed do you have any word on Xherdan Shaquiri of Bayern Munich? I have been told of interest from 2 London clubs but don't know if its believable or not.

Gio {Ed001's Note - I don't know sorry, I was told he would be available for transfer this summer, but nothing more.}

27 Jun 2013 15:23:22
Looks like Ashley Grimes is off to Bury after rejecting an offer from Cheltenham. The Shakers have been hinting at some good news coming, and with the signing of Gareth Roberts just confirmed with 'more to follow', it looks like this deal could well be on.

It's official he has signed.

Hes just signed for bury

An untrustworthy player who goes against his word and a gentleman's agreement.
Last season he would play for the first 20 minutes and then wander around waiting for the game to come to him. Lazy, arrogant and too big for his boots - Seems like Bury have got a great player, and Cheltenham had a lucky escape.

Strange old situation this one - sounds like Grimes' agent had agreed terms with CTFC only for the player to be in Bury! If that's true all I can say is he won't be getting as good a deal up there, real shame since he's got potential but probably off the hook given the way it's panned out.

27 Jun 2013 15:22:16
man city are ready to blow villa out the water witha massive offer for striker christian benteke. arsenal and tottenham are both eyeing up the belgian star but city could now out bid everyone.

Blackpool are closing in on the signing of former Notts County captain Neal Bishop. Bishop, who is available on a free transfer after cancelling his contract at Meadow Lane earlier this week, is set to link up with Blackpool in Portugal for their training camp

Good look to the lad he's only going for the money he's not championship quality and only average in league 1 ps bishop can you take arquin with ya

Agree division 1 at best

27 Jun 2013 15:16:15
wigan have signed chris mcann

27 Jun 2013 15:14:49
bournemouth are hoping to land former norwich striker simeon jackson on a free transfer.

That would be allot better signing simeon Jackson rather then danny ings from burnley, certainly shows Bournemouth's intentions next season.

He's been released by Norwich at end of his contract so there it will be free.

Hope not we need a big man

LOL how any bournemouth fan would can say they don't want jackson, I don't know. will be the best player you've had in years.

27 Jun 2013 15:10:45
Celtic defender Thomas Rogne is set to have a medical at Wigan ahead of a move to the DW Stadium. Rogne is out of contract at Celtic after turning down a new deal with the Scottish champions.

Wrap him in cotton wool wigs because youl need it!

27 Jun 2013 15:02:36
:-

News coming out of the King Power Stadium is that Nigel Pearson will be sacked tonight and replaced by ex Ipswich boss Roy Keane.

Don't talk rubbish. Pearson isn't going anywhere.

Keane will take you downhill

No chance, they wouldn't wait for the players to come back for pre season training to sack him and you wouldn't replace him with keane. keane just terrible

Ha ha, good luck to you if this one is true!

27 Jun 2013 17:39:22
Division 1 is not so bad. That's where you are going if they take Keane on!

Good luck.

This is true

27 Jun 2013 15:00:29
Ade Akinfenwa is set to join Leyton Orient after turning down approaches from Gillingham and AFC Wimbledon. The striker, released from Northampton in the summer, is believed to be keen on the East London club as it is near to his home

Do Leyton Orient have the man power to be able to carry Akinfenwa to their ground?

That seems to tie in with him wanting a club near his business-Addy lives in Islington.

When do you think Cody will sign?

Surely received a bigger offer from both Orient and Gillingham, would've been great fun, definitely something different and scores goals. Good luck to him wherever he goes.

Don't know if I'd take the pieman back at O's. Seems to have developed since we had him on loan though.

Sorry but nowhere near good enough for League One.

27 Jun 2013 14:49:55
Cody Mcdonald told he has no future at coventry and has been reported to have brought a house in maidstone.

So he's coming back to Gillingham

After verbally agreeing to join Sheffield United's academy, 17 year old Mickael Partodikromo has been since persuaded by Reading to join up with their academy. He is due to fly over to England next month after meeting with representatives from the newly relegated Berkshire side and signing a contract earlier this week without the knowledge of the APFA.

Both Andy Smith from APFA and Tony Walmsley from Sheffield United recently gave statements about Partodikromo's move to Yorkshire. Sheffield United are in the process of taking legal advice on whether the verbal agreement with Partodikromo has legan standing and whether compensation is due.

marlon harewood signing a 2 year deal at notts county fc subject to this afternoons medical

He is told old for countys plans

It's a long medical!

I went for a medical yesterday it was pretty thorough and lasted 45 mins and now I can drive lorries for another 5 years I didn't see marlon but if he's still having his medical my guess is he failed!

27 Jun 2013 14:34:35
Gillingham have today signed Antonio German and with the news that Cody McDonald has been released by Coventry, he may well be next as he's been on loan twice at Gills, and is a huge favourite

I have not seen anywhere including coventrys website that he has been released can you tell me where you saw this information about cody been released

He was told he can leave this summer by the manager but he still has a year left on his contract so I would assume if a decent offer came in they would sell up

27 Jun 2013 14:24:54
Stoke are in talks with PSV Eindhoven left-back Erik Pieters over a move to the Britannia Stadium he has apparently arrived today (Thursday) for talks and medical whilst Cardiff agree. Fee with andreas cornelius who was wanted by stoke source tv

27 Jun 2013 14:09:42
Just spotted Emerson Boyce in Croydon High Street. Potential move back to Palace maybe?

Wouldn't bank on it, you having saw him or Boyce coming back to Palace. At the moment, we have Joel Ward at RB. We have other positions which are of much greater need to be filled, such as a striker and a winger.

27 Jun 2013 14:00:13
Doncaster are interested in bringing in striker Steve Howard from Hartlepool.

Hallelujah! Please be true

Please let this be true I will drive him

LEE MILLER SIGNS NEW CARLISLE UNITED CONTRACT!

I hope he is fit for this season, he needs to prove he is worth the reported 3. 5k a week

Its not 3. 5k it is 2. 5k

H 3. 5 k a week!

do some research

Lee Miller is not and never has been paid £2. 5k a week by Carlisle.

What research, just rumours from people not at the club, Carlisle can not afford the the 3. 5 k figure because of the 60% wage rule

I work within the club as for the 60% rule you are right but wrong, there are loop holes and that's what has been used he is on more than 2. 5k

The loop wholes are for players under 23 and through the youth system and for relegated clubs fro the championship for players with a contract with 2 years left on it

27 Jun 2013 13:41:32
Bristol City looking to bring Shaun Derry to Ashton Gate as captain

Genuinly one of my most hated players we have had to face over the last few years, absolutly appitamises Neil Warnock on the pitch whom everyone at AG hates.

I have to admit it though every reason I hate him is one that would make me love him if he played for us.

He's 35 not happening next rumour

27 Jun 2013 13:26:18
Doncaster are expected to sign M'voto from Oldham as soon as the big centre half becomes a free agent on July 1st. Although there is competition from several other clubs including the likes of Blackburn.

27 Jun 2013 13:26:15
Flame haired marksman dave kitson has signed a two year deal at Oxford united.
In my opinion that is a very good signing and I think Oxford will have a decent chance of promotion next season.

{Ed029's Note - He was fantastic at Reading, but he's never been the same since injury and a move to Stoke. He has a great left peg though.

Legend. Good luck Dave even if you are playing for them!

He is shocking. Once the crowd get on his back (home or away fans), his head drops & he wants to go home!

27 Jun 2013 15:59:32
Great signig well done now decent midfielder centre back lrft back and a winger to c
Ppover rigg and

potter

He was great when he first came to SUFC, but then he seemed to lose it and spent his time spoiling for fights with people. Just watch, once other teams suss him out he'll start flailing his arms around and looking at the ref for free kicks. Intelligent player, plenty of quality, but suffering a bit of a mid-life crisis.

Excellent news! really really excellent! If we can keep him fit and get some decent service too him, we could be in with a shout!

Kitson shouldn't be on a football pitch, he is not a footballer.
Clumsy and no skill, a bad signing for anyone from div 3 up.

Kitson shouldn't be on a football pitch, he is not a footballer.
Clumsy and no skill, a bad signing for anyone from div 3 up.

As a reading fan and having watched him score so many brilliant goals and tear so many defenses apart it's sad to read people see him this way. Never the same after that poor challenge

ian harte and simeon Jackson to agree deals to join Bournemouth by the end of the week. These will be the last signings before a mass clear out of players, however eddie howe is still in the market for a central midfielder

How can Howe have a "mass clear-out of players" if they have contracts and don't want to leave?

It's true that the Cherries are after a Norwich striker for £1 million - but the target is Vaughan not Jackson.

27 Jun 2013 15:56:42
Ian has turned down Cherries, didn't want the one year deal on offer.

Your facts are incorrect!
Harte signs a year contract. UTC {Ed029's Note - Confirmed.

27 Jun 2013 18:58:12
already signed

Just signed for one year

27 Jun 2013 19:26:16
Harte has signed. has trained this morning with team. its on afcb website.

Why would Harte sign for little Bournemouth when Leeds and QPR want him? Get real

{Ed029's Note - He is settled in Berkshire and didn't want to move back up North. QPR made no approach for him. Now confirmed at AFCB.

Glad bournemouth went up last season wanted them to couldn't belive they signed elliot ward great player just heard on tv they are lining up a move for simeon jackson I didn't want him to leave norwich he's a fantastic player still premier leaque quality I thought he would be at a big championship club if not would be a massive signing for bournemouth there showing real ambition in them to and others look forward to watching bournemouth this season good time to be a fan good luck from a norwich fan

Amazing how Bournemouth can afford the big wages for Ward and Jackson under the Financial Fair Play rules? How do the Cherreis manage it?

I doubt Ward and Jackson are on that much to be fair. No more than 10k.

Simeon Jackson is going to another Championship club I'm afraid! Never mind EH!

I have a soft spot for Bournemouth as a fair few of my family live there. I travel down from Norwich to watch with my cousin a few times a season. I am also a huge fan of Jackson so couldn't ask for a better club for him to join. Along with Ward who is a very solid Championship defender you will have two quality players to help the others who haven't played at this level. I expect big things this season from the Cherries!

Jackson was on 7k at Norwich PW. Dropping down would see him take a small paycut so he's an affordable option.

27 Jun 2013 15:41:22
He is still under contract but rumoured to be surplus to requirements. Linked with Doncaster Rovers.

Oh Danny Boy, Oh Danny Boy, yes you are the real McCoy, you played for the Reds and you were a joy, so please come back, it's real not a ploy lol.

Howard back

No thanks

Oh no no no don't titter no no titter ye not howard

How hard is to stop all this nonsense about former players coming back like Brian?

Barnsley was in for Howard when he was leaving Portsmouth he decided to go to bristol city for what i'm guessing was the offer of more money. how well that worked out he's now back on the football cscrap heap. signing players like Howard would be a backward step. much better younger hungrier players available even on frees

27 Jun 2013 12:49:05
Bournemouth are set to bid £1 million for Norwich striker James Vaughan. The Cherries recently had a £1 million bid for Burnley's Danny Ings rejected. Vaughan is Eddie Howe's No 2 choice.

So Howe thinks Vaughan, who's just married and is settled in Liverpool, up north would be willing to move 2/3 the length of the country when he wants to move to Huddersfield anyway.

Seem very ambitious, good luck to them.
Money talks in football and if they meet the asking price and pay the wages, why not. It's a beautiful part of the country too, so why wouldn't he move there?
Hope not like, as a Huddersfield fan.

Every team from the championship is rumoured to be getting Simeon jackson anyway.

27 Jun 2013 12:42:35
Steve Jennings could be intrested in a return to prenton park after ronnie Moore contacted him to see if he wants to come back to tranmere after being released by Coventry

He's been told he can move on, he's not been released. Still surprised though, played a lot of games last year and I always thought he played ok.

27 Jun 2013 16:15:07
Can't see it, he'd be a squad player with Wallace fit again, and he'd surely want more money than we'd offer a bench warmer. That said, we do need cover for defensive mid.

27 Jun 2013 17:03:39
he was not released, he's up for sale

He'd probably make the 1st XI infront of Power most of the time due to experience and playing him sitting back allowing Wallace to do what he wants.

27 Jun 2013 12:40:02
Reading are in talks with Chelsea about bringing Gael Kakuta to the club.

The French youngster is keen to move away from the West London club and is thought to want to return to England after a spell at Vitesse.

I wish!

27 Jun 2013 16:34:55
if we sign any more wingers, we could make a whole team full of them!

On loan I hope don't need another winger even though he is better than McAnuff and if HRK leaves

27 Jun 2013 12:15:18
Real Madrid are going to offer di Maria and Fabiao coentrao plus 20 million for Gareth bale.

Daniel Levy will never allow that!

27 Jun 2013 11:59:38
Arsenal about to close deal with Manchester United: Theo Walcott and £7m for Wayne Rooney.

Walcott just signed new contract

27 Jun 2013 14:41:21
Why oh why would Arsenal want a player that doesn't train. I'd be shocked if they bought him.

27 Jun 2013 11:57:07
Alan Pardew has highlighted two targets for Newcastle. He wanst Darren Bent from Villa and James Tomkins from West Ham

27 Jun 2013 13:10:02
He can identify all he likes - up to Joe Kinnear! ;)

Sunderland fans would love it if Bent went to Newcastle!

27 Jun 2013 15:46:29
Tomkins signed last season an extension for another 3/4 yrs he will be a future csptain of west ham and England do doubt

I see kinnear is going to scour europe looking for new players, the chairman has kindly loaned him a firms bike. What does he think they have been doing up to now going to Durham.

27 Jun 2013 11:54:04
Millwall have accepted a 450K offer for Nadjim Abdou from Charlton, Millwall have put in a 700K offer for Tom Pope after failing to come up with the funds for Peterborough Uniteds Lee Tomlin.

No truth in that, Abdou has been with the squad and Lomas in preperation for the new season

Not a chance jimmy going to charlton

If Millwall can sponsor Prostate Cancer UK, it can afford to buy Tom Pope without selling Jimmy.

I have heard something about this. There are a couple of players at Millwall that want to get away and a move to Charlton is seen as very attractive however from what I've heard no deal has been done and any talks are in the very early stages.

No chance after everything the club done for jimmy last year I can't imagine he would want to leave especially for charlton

Lomas has already stated that jimmy is in his plans and he loves it at millwall and the fans love him. He's treated well by us and was given time off to travel to France to visit his ill son last season. And chalton may have a larger fan base than millwall but it would be a step sideways not forwards.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Charlton need a different type of midfielder to Abdou at the moment anyway so I doubt we will be buying him. However no offence but a move to us from you would definitely be a step up, just look at the league table last season.

How is it a side step going to charlton they finished way above them last season and overall a better club.

27 Jun 2013 11:54:01
Burnley set to make a bid for Port Vale striker Tom Pope with some of the profit they receive from selling Charlie Austin to Hull for £4 million. Pope would cost the Clarets about £400,000.

How many times? He will not be going anywhere.

To 'How many times?' Referring to Austin, Pope, or both?

Austin is close to leaving Burnley, but not for 4 mil. I think the fee eventually is going to be 4. 5 with a potential rise based on performance. Hull in pole position, but not done deal yet, so who knows where Austin will be next season. don't know anything about Pope rumour.

What 4 million for austin from hull? Last I knew we rejected hulls 4 million bid and valued austin at 7 million, and he's still a burnley player and back in training now so don't talk rubbish!

27 Jun 2013 19:58:33
Austin and Hooper will force clubs to sell - the lure of the Prem beckons with the the Tigers

I meant Pope will not. E going anywhere.

Clarets fans need to accept Austin is going, he has value now and this time next year he won't. We are a selling club, simple as! When we have the opportunity to "cash in" we always will. Plus Austin will not want to pass up the opportunity for at least one season in the PL and if he gets a few goals he could do what Fletcher and Rodgruigez have done in establishng themselves as good PL forward players.

The Hull bid rejected was £3.5m, a £4m bid may well go in next, if Hull are the only bidder then Burnley will take it, they can't afford to turn down £4m to keep a player for a single season.

Who said we can't afford to keep him for another season and lose out on 4 million, we have had nearly 40 million in parachute payments and nothing of it has been spent on new players, we signed austin for 1 million and even the chairmen has said no clibs jave met the 7 million fee for austin yet and until they do he's not going anywhere!

"What 4 million for austin from hull? Last I knew we rejected hulls 4 million bid and valued austin at 7 million, and he's still a burnley player and back in training now so don't talk rubbish!"

7 million for Austin! what planet are you on sunshine. He will leave Burnley that's for sure, and it will be for a lot less than 7 million.

Unless burnley get promoted which is unlikely then its either 4 or 4.5 million or a kick in the teeth next season when he goes for 0. You say you got 40 million which non has gone on players I would use austin money to buy new players

27 Jun 2013 11:37:12
Cody Mcdonald in talks with Oldham Athletic

27 Jun 2013 19:43:38
Nah can't see that happening, he ain't that good anyway! Sure there's better strikers than him.

27 Jun 2013 11:37:10
Sheffield United boss David Weir wants retiring Wolves defender Jody Craddock as part of his Bramall Lane coaching set-up.

Craddock, who spent time on loan at United in 1999, is open to offers after calling time on his 21-year career.

Jodie has publically stated he has no intention of getting into coaching, instead he is focusing on his art.

27 Jun 2013 11:34:15
Wolves are prepared for offers of up to 21 of their squad players. de Vries, Johnson, Ward, Henry, O'Hara, Sako and Eggert Jonsson are all expected to seal deals with other clubs by July 1st.

{Ed029's Note - De Vries has been released.

What where released de vreis? when was this? And why have we?

De Vries hasn't been released. He's been given a free transfer. He still has one year on his contract.

Watched Egert Jonsson and thought he did well at Hearts - hope he is leaving this miserable club -

27 Jun 2013 11:30:04
Jonjo Shelvey will sign for Swansea on Monday. The deal will be an initial season loan.

Shelvey should stay and fight for another year

Dont you only say swansea its also west ham have a look at today's rumours

Don't want him loaned or bought he's gash.

He's still a kid and an absolute monster with the right game time and a bit of help from a psychologist he'd be outstanding

27 Jun 2013 11:28:57
West Brom have made enquiries about Derby County's Mason Bennett.

What anther million pound

27 Jun 2013 20:44:20
West brom could be getting Scott sincler on season loan

Never herd of him but I know Fulham have a deal in place to sign Scott Sinclair from Man City. As for the lad going to WBA is he any good?

Mason only just 16 been involved with England u16's for 2 yrs and Derby 1st team for season and half. Doubt derby will sell.

Hes a sixteen year old striker. Very well regarded. Derbys next big thing after Hendrickand Hughes. Doubt WBA will be in for him though

Sorry but I highly doubt Derby will sell Mason Bennett and we certainly won't sell him for a million. He is one of our most promising youngsters and he is the youngest scorer in the FA cup ever from the 3rd round proper onwards (I say this cause I don't know about non leauge age goal scorers for the FA cup). The minimum he would be sold for is probably 5million especially if Will
Hughes is being valued at 10 Million

28 Jun 2013 12:39:28
£5 million? LOL
I'll have some of whatever he's been taking ^.
You won't get any more than £500k

2 derby county players apparently cost 15million combined. The whole WBA starting 11 cost no more than 35million,

It would make no sense to sell Mason now. Send him out on loan (is there age restrictions on how young a player has to before going out on loan) by all means.

Haha 500k for Bennett? You having a laugh

30 Jun 2013 09:26:45
well if you want quality 500 k will not get anyone and wba are looking at bottom of premier this season

500k is a lot for his age. I still wouldn't want us to pay that, he hasn't proved anything, he could be amazing in the future or on the other hand he could be championship player the rest of his career.

27 Jun 2013 11:26:14
Jrmie Aliadire is looking for a move back into English football with Yeovil Town and Ipswich rumored to be interested

27 Jun 2013 10:58:27
Carl Fletcher training with Barnet, possibly looking to come out of retirement in a player coach role

27 Jun 2013 10:51:55
Newcastle are about to test the West ham resolve with a £5m bid for James Tomkins

27 Jun 2013 11:34:57
Won't even get considered at that amount.

27 Jun 2013 12:26:38
£5m is more than he is worth, but I guess it's the "English Premium"

27 Jun 2013 15:51:34
You can have Tomkins jersey for 5mill at 22yrs he has the world at their feet no he will be a hammer for life

27 Jun 2013 10:37:30
Looks like Norwich are poised to win the £5million race for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

Over rated. holt all the way.

Gary hooper 24 year old, 80+ goals in two and a half seasons including champions league.

G Holt 31/32 year old and how many goals did he score last season? lol

now whos over rated.

I could score 80 plus goals in the sPL

Hooper scored all those goals in a league playing against teams that would probably struggle in our League 1. Holt has scored in every league, and already proved himself in the Premiership, OK he didn't get as many goals last season, but then he didn't get the service like he did the season before. Over-rated? Don't think so.

Holt has been Norwich's top scorer and top striker in the past 4 seasons, he managed 8 last season which yes is not what he's used to, but it was a positive in otherwise a very poor goal-scoring season. The addition of Van Wolfswinkel you'd think would be the real goal threat, no-doubtedly getting into double figures. Holt is a City legend, and he WILL be a part of City's plans next year. IMO I think RvW and Hooper will be the main strikers, with Holt an impact sub who can come on not only to score goals if we're losing/drawing, but to come on and hold the ball up and frustrate the opposition if we were winning.

The reason Holt didn`t score many goals is because of the defensive system Hughton plays (1 up front). He is still class!

Think you'll find hooper scored a lot more goals in the championship than a so called 35 million pound striker. top goal scorer was he not?

27 Jun 2013 10:43:24
wba are set to pip olympiakos to the signing of forgotten man florent malouda.

27 Jun 2013 10:41:49
the wayne rooney story to arsenal is a smoke screen as the gunners line up a 15 million plus deal for striker hernandez.

I'd prefer Hernandez

27 Jun 2013 10:28:03
Gillingham have signed Antonio German from Brentford for a nominal fee.

27 Jun 2013 10:21:23
Simon Church is off to Huddersfield.

Woud be a great signing - impressed on loan last season. Up The Terriers.

Are we talking about the same church that was on loan last season!
i would rather have Charlotte Church.

Would this be free or would a fee be involved?

No chance, there would be a ceremonial burning of season cards if he was resigned by Town. Another rumour is Simeon Jackson in talks with Bournemouth, now that would be a shock move, especially if we miss out on Vaughan.

Funny Leeds fans at it again. We will have the last laugh when you've gone bust by Xmas!

Think we should pay him to join leeds, i'm sure they would have him if they had any money.

Not only would he then not be coming to Town he would also be helping Leeds into Div1 where they belong.

Impressed? are you sure your a town fan he was awful last season

Simon church going to Bristol city

Not a chance he was pants on loan

He's awful! Couldn't hit a barn door when he was on loan, I doubt Hoyle will have Church back, or should I say his 'twin brother'!

27 Jun 2013 15:05:31
He was s*** don't need him we need to focus on getting Vaughn signed and butterfield and then a defender UTT

This is incorrect. Its should it be "Simon is off to church in Huddersfield"

Hope not he was useless on his loan

27 Jun 2013 15:25:20
Were you watching the same Church?
He was probably the worst player I have seen in the blue and white shirt. Total rubbish, both player and rumour!

Probably the worst striker I've seen in a town top in my time- impressed, good one

Whoever posted the second comment on this thread clearly isn't a town fan. Anyone who watched Church last season whilst on loan would never claim that he 'impressed' whilst with us!

Thats either a really funny sarcastic comment, or just the most ridiculous comment I think iv ever read. Please for huddersfield fans sake let it be a sarcastic comment

He didn't impres us last season! Even our chairman said he expected more from him so don't know what the guy above me is on

John Cofie being courted by the Terriers to be backup for Vaughan and competition for Paterson. Watch this space.

^which simon church was you watching!

Was you watching the same Simon Church as I was

If he is on his way to Huddersfield then he must have signed for Emley.

Are you having a laugh. Church was appaling last year. never want to see him in a Town shirt again.

He could also be signing for the mighty LIONS?

100% untrue

Impressed on loan? which games were you watching?. not a Town signing

27 Jun 2013 19:25:58
town fans should remember we don't want to go down the same line as when rubery was in charge, down we went and away games at boston utd I remember, we av a gud side, we can compete in the championship, but we need to be consistant,
we are no longer a big boy in a small pond, top half finish, flirting with the play offs would be gud, we expect to much, let's see how things pan out, before we slate every signing we make, we don't need any body at town that's just ere for the wages, we been thr got the t shirt.

Theres more chance of a one legged cat burying a turd on a frozen pond than seeing Simon Church score a goal.

Simon church wasn't great for us on loan but your stupid if you believe he has nothing more to offer. I'd welcome him back if not perm then on loan

More chance of Stan T getting his old job back

Who would we loan him from? He's a free agent

If had a choice stead or church I would pick church

If I had a choice Church or Stead, I would pick Stead.
Church scored one goal for Town, when the goalkeeper dropped the ball at his feet.

If I had a choice between stead and church I would pick stead

Stead will give is all for the club

Much rather have stead than church

Weve got Steady now so we need to make him feel welcome if we've any chace of getting the best out of him.

27 Jun 2013 10:03:51
After Birmingham sold Curtis Davies for £2. 25million, they now have the funds to put in an official bid for Gillingham's Jack Payne. Payne is believed to command a fee of around the £750,000 mark.

All the money is going straight into the debt fund

What debt fund, there are not many clubs with as little debt now as gillingham fc

He meant birmingham

I think he ment Birmingham's debt fund not Gillingham's

27 Jun 2013 10:00:33
As a West ham fan its nice to see we are amongst a host of clubs chasing the signature of Matej Vydra. My only concern is that I worry about which strikers are going to want to come ot us and play second fiddle to Andy carroll when they can be guaranteed first team football elsewhere. Unless of course BiG Sam decides he's going to play with 2 strikers next season. Lukau has been heavily mentioned again today and Sam is now waiting for a response from Chelsea.

27 Jun 2013 16:05:51
Jose has already said Lukaku is in his plans for next season, can't see him loaning him out for another season.

27 Jun 2013 09:43:48
Cardiff have offered a cash-plus-player deal for Derby youngster Will Hughes.

The fee is £2m, rising to £4m based on appearances and the player is unwanted forward Tommy Smith.

27 Jun 2013 10:48:37
No way in hell would you get Hughes for 2m or 4m, 10m+ and you may be lucky. Tommy Smith is a player Clough wanted a while ago but can't see him wanting him now

Is this a joke Hughes is worth £10 million not a penny less and why would he go to Cardiff when the top 4 are interested!

Apologies. Some of our fans do spout nonsense.

RedTit

2m is too low for a start and derby are building a team with young players in, tommy smith used to play for derby but has since past his prime so I can't see this happening

Will Hughes is being tracked by Newcastle and the valuation is £10m

How could we refuse an offer like that!

Get real

Has 10 million for him? A guy who hasn't got a cap for his country and never played top flight football and never shined in the championship? He's about 5million if that ;)

Hughes is our best plater and the 2nd Youngest U21 Player ever for England Younger then Zaha and he went for 15mill!

27 Jun 2013 09:43:43
Real Madrid started their pursuit of Gareth Bale by offering Gonzalo Higuain and Fabio Coentrao in a player-plus-cash deal for the Tottenham forward.

West Brom want to revamp their attack with Udinese striker Matej Vydra and Morelia winger Jefferson Montero.

Either going to sign Montero and vydra, or macnelly torres and scott Sinclair, one of these duos will accompany long and di santo as attacking options

No he is almost signed for west ham

27 Jun 2013 09:42:04
Bournemouth have tabled a final "take-it-or-leave-it" offer of £1.4 million for Burnley striker Danny Ings. Cherries boss Eddie Howe wants Ings back at Dean Court but now be forced tio look elsewhere in their striker search.

This could happen, bye bye danny. you did some nice things at the turf, I will never forget that boys face when he gave him a peck on the cheek and gave the boy his boots. well done danny a real nice guy. UTC

I expect we'll leave it then, thanks all the same.

27 Jun 2013 13:52:12
Burnley need to bring in a couple of strikers possibly beat Bournemouth to the signing of Simeon Jackson or someone who we could get cheap such as Marvin sordell or ebanks Blake seen as he's a free transfer

27 Jun 2013 14:10:57
BurnleyFC likely destination for Tom Pope of Port Vale!

27 Jun 2013 09:41:19
Wolves have had a £1million bid for Crewe's Luke Murphy accepted - but still face competition from Swansea and Blackburn.

Exactly. they are just rumours. He's a League 1 player so £2m would be a huge price to pay. I would have thought it would be closer to £1m.

Maybe the deal will go through once Karl Henry has moved on to Leicester or Huddersfield?

27 Jun 2013 17:15:05
We've Had a bid accepted on Luke Murphy it's supposed to be in the region of 1 - 2 million

newcastle are in talks with westham over defender james tomkins.

27 Jun 2013 09:39:03
Hull City are ready to launch a bid for David Stockdale. However, Fulham want centre back James Chester in returnand Martin jol wants a more youthful look to his Fulham side

1 we don't want stockdale anymore there is better keepers on the market for the same price
2 chester signed a new 3 year contract yesterday

Hull City are signing Alan McGregor and no longer have any interest in Stockdale. Also, Chester signed a new three year deal yesterday and is worth more than Stockdale.

Strange -local press say Allan McGregor will sign from Besiktas by the end of the week/tomorrow and James Chester signed a new 3 year contract yesterday?

Absolute Piffle. James Chester has signed a new 3 year deal and Allan McGregor is set to complete is move from Besiktas. Stockdale has been off the radar for a while.

James Chester just signed a 3 year contract at hull yesterday

I thought we had done Hull a favour lending them Stockdale last season but obviously not because all the comments by their fans have been pretty scathing. Never heard of this bloke Chester but we are well covered in this area anyway so can't see anything in that.

The same James Chester who signed a new deal yesterday? That sounds likely.

Haha priceless, considering Hull have just tied Chester down with a 3 year deal and about to sign Mcgregor. Nice try son :)

Stockdale is good keeper but hull will not the over the odds fulham put big price tag on him

Well I think stockdale did a good job for us last season

Stockdale was decent last season but the fact he has said he doesn't want to come back has maybe annoyed some fans and Chester is the next big thing in english defending and he will only continue his improvement playing in the first team of a premier league footballer

Mannone was a lot better than stockdale, but we wouldn't pay over a mill for him.

The fact fulham want 4mil for stockdale is the reason no one cares. 1.8 mil for a decent goalkeeper seems much better business

Stockdale was okay in the Championship, without being outstanding, I'd be nervous about him in the Premier League and he's never worth £4m.

What about Amos

27 Jun 2013 09:38:53
Robert Lewandowski is in talks with man city. dortmund are hoping to sell the player so that he doesn't join rivals bayern for free next summer.

Rodney Sneijder, younger brother of Wesley, is in London holding talks with Brentford {Ed029's Note - Are you sure it's not Rodney Trotter, younger brother of Del Trotter?

He is desperate to get into English football and Brentford has a good relationship with his parent club. A move suits all.

This rumour is untrue, denied by player himself AND source at Brentford

Yeovil set sign Clayton Donaldson on a 3 year deal.

Hope so :)

Is he really good enough with the players we already have. The big shame is we did not get Dan Burn back, feeling very sad about that but having to trust Mr Johnson because he has always done what is right for the club.

Bigbyrd yeovil fanatic

Never heard so much rubbish to this statement why would he down his wages to come here when top championship clubs are looking at him

Would love this to be true but I can't see it.

Completely made up. I rate the player but this just isn't happening. Simple as that.

Don't need him

27 Jun 2013 09:27:10
Barcelona B international left back Luis Gustavo, looking at a move to Brighton following the appointment of Oscar Garcia as manager

He's a defensive midfielder, but I've also heard we are interested in signing him.

Sorry meant defensive midfielder, looking at maybe replacing Bridcutt, should he decide to go

I've heard that brighton also want a left back, right back and centre back from barcelona b

Bet he'll replace Bridcutt

27 Jun 2013 09:16:13
Reading's Simon Church will head down the M4 and sign for Bristol City.
Deal could be concluded as early as Friday.

Brian Stock remains a target for the Ashton Gate club.

Church may now be heading to Huddersfield where he enjoyed a successful loan spell last season.

{Ed029's Note - Millwall also announced today they plan to open talks with him.

If this is true about getting Thomas please let us have him fo rthe season. This boy is awesome. Hammond don't mess this up lol.

Lol, simon church has never had a successful loan!

If we keep baldock and Davies we don't need anymore strikers as we also have burns, karans and Taylor.

Don't think Hudds fans would agree that his loan was successful.

I heard he is in talks to go to Millwall {Ed029's Note - Millwall announced today they plan to open talks with him.

Bristol City will only buy a striker if we sell one of the ones we have. We have got a tasty looking threesome up top in Baldock, Davies, and Taylor, plus a few prospects that may get a chance as well.

27 Jun 2013 09:13:48
Rumours out of Blackpool that there is unrest in the squad and that Paul Ince is considering quitting himself. Come on Karl please sought this out.

Paul Ince has told chairman Karl Oyston that unless he is allowed to bring in his target players he will resign. So expect him to resign.

Why make up such ruubish. Paul is over in portugal with the players and karl is not their with them.

Pathetic, nonsense.

Norwich are poised to win the £5million race for Celtic striker Gary Hooper.

Got that from the daily fail so don't believe it

Hooper, Toivonen and Redmond would be fantastic! I am guessing that a couple of other signings will also be made with Holt, Fox, Butterfield and Vaughn moving on. Hopefully not Pilks or EB too.

27 Jun 2013 09:10:35
Billy Kee to Crawley Town is definitely on. Albion are in a mess with Zola and Maghoma gone, Kee on his way and still no news of Paterson signing. Looks like we'll be starting the season with non-league Dominic Knowles up front on his own.

Kee is happy at Burton and doesn't want to go back down south.
He came to Burton to be closer to home

Deal is back on for Bostock

Hope not

Brentford looking to bring in Ian Harte (former Leeds) as a player/coach.

Everton in for Southampton's Jack Cork. Priced at £6 million + add ons. Will go though once Fellani is sold to Arsenal.

No it won't-Jack would cost a lot more than that!

How can anyone think for one second that any player regardless of what club was interested or what wages were on offer would leave the great and powerful Southampton, don't you know the rules?. if Southampton want any player then that player will sign and he will remain a Southampton player until such time as the club decides to sell or release that player, so my message to the Real Madrid's and Barcelona's and Man Utd's of this world is this. any player that you fancy from Southampton, forget it, they will never leave but be on your guard because if Southampton decide they want ANY of your players, it WILL happen.

Firstly Fellaini won't go to Arsenal because they won't pay his wage demands of £100,000 a week. Secondly Everyon have already identified their no. 1 replacement if Fellaini was to leave and that's Fer of FC Twente.

Bailey

Hah good one

Would explain why southampton are being linked with so many midfield players. A very versatile player who just puts his heart and soul into playing. Dare I say that he will make the England squad for the world cup if he was at everton but get totally overlooked if he stays at saints.

No they aren't, don't be silly. Southampton are not in a position to sell their best players especially not on the cheap. Everton probably would look elsewhere anyway to replace Fellani.

Yeah sell him for 6 million and pay 15 million to replace him. let's all do a portsmouth and ruin our club. some people haven't a clue

Ive always admired jack cork he will be a superstar if given enough game time with right manager

Cork isn't leaving an for no where near 6m!

As likely as Fellaini coming to Saints. 3rd post is an excellent example of immaturity.

Ridiculous comment by the third poster. Won't lower myself to reply to it.
Cork has done well for us and you are probably right, going to a team like Everton would put him more in the England frame.
I doubt he would go because he is played frequently and enjoys where he plays at the moment. I do think the price is too low. He is worth a lot more as he has been a stalwart and we are finally in a position where we don't need to sell.

Because jack cork is clearly a bench warmer.

Unless jack cork can see himself out of favour why on earth would he move, don't forget he was on loan all over the place and looks a good team member and very popular now at saints

I think he was being sarcastic mate!

The third post was bloody funny. Come on guys, it's a bit of fun!

Don't see any truth to this, but to people saying 6mil is cheap, we paid 750k for him 2 years ago.

To most clubs ( that don't have Corteses vision ) over 5mil profit in 2 years would be excellent business.

You would hope with any business to make 2 to 3 percent of turnover but I don't think football works like that unless you sell your best players.

Ipswich looking at Millwall's James Henry and out-of-contract Harry Forrester.

McCarthy is also keen on securing a deal for former loanee DJ Campbell.

I think all three of these would be good signings, although I think millwall would be looking for a fair amount of money for James Henry.

No Chance, Like with the rumour about Fordey leaving for a championship club it doesn't make sense?? Also, I think the price tag of onward and upwards of £2 million might put them off.

This is very unlikely seeing as SL praised Jimmy when he was appointed as one of the type of players he wanted there. We should not let him go especially to Championship side.

Both John Johnson and Luke guttridge to sign for pools following release from Northampton, Johnson is looking to return to the North East.

Leicester will attempt to re-sign Manchester United youngster Michael Keane on a season long loan, though it is believed David Moyes would like to see him perform in some pre season matches first.

Also on Leicester's radar is WBA striker Markus Rosenburg. The Swede has adapted well to the Premiership and it is thought Leicester will offer around £600K for his services.

I would like to see Keane back at the KP but think he is ready for a loan to another PL club

Would be good to get Keane back but he will probably go on loan to another PL club next season

27 Jun 2013 11:39:47
He, s hardly had a look in at West Brom so how can you say he has adapted well to the premiership?

Swindon Town are in talks with 33 year old Watford midfielder, John Eustace, Swindon need to add some experience to what is going to be a very young squad, and they see Eustace, who has over 400 games under his belt as the perfect fit, he could well be offered the caprains arm band too!

Great player! Deserves first team football! I will miss him though

I suspect that he has been offered a new deal at Watford, but the lure of regular first team football may be enough to tempt him away.

If Swindon do sign him get him in as player/coach. I am sure he has the potential to be a good coach and manager in the future.

Swindon would lucky to get him. Good player with as much integrity and work rate as you will see. Hope he stays with Watford but wouldn't be surprised if wanted to play more regularly

Agreed, really sorry to see him leave Watford but would do a great job at Swindon or other league One clubs but could also do a good job at some Championship teams.

His agent is former Swindon town striker colin Gordon.

Hope this happens we need this guy

Huddersfield have had a fee of 1 million has been accepted for James Vaughan plus add ons, but the deal has hit a snag over his wage demands of 18k a week Hudddersfield Town will only offer 15k a week maximum.

Joel Lynch is wanted by Birmingham and Millwall on loan.

Hudddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday and Barnsley are battling for Adam El-Abd.

Typical greedy player - Deano should tell Vaughan to get lost!. We are only a lower mid-table Champo side.

After Lynch's comment when rejecting Millwall for
Huddersfield, I doubt he'd be welcomed.

How do you know this? can town sort this out?

Huddersfieald ant got 1 mil

Nope not many people in Huddersfield do BUT a man from Wakefield has lots of them :)

Huddersfield town have got A LOT more money than people give them credit for! Dean Hoyle could easily afford a 1m pound transfer fee and 18p a week! Keep the faith in them!

Huddersfield ain't got 1million? Think you are wrong there mate, it's Leeds who don't have any money, just watched local TV news, McDermott saying he has to sell to creat his own transfer fund, he didn't look or sound to be a happy bunny.

News comming out of the club is personal terms have been agreed for a while its the fee and add ons that are stumbling block

Wonder where the 8mil from Rhodes deal went then? Town has plenty cash but we can only attract players of a certain level!

Hudd don't have 1 mil? ha we had a 2m offer rejected last summer for russell and makay-steven, we have money

Dean Hoyle won't bankroll the club forever
Spending more than you can afford will all end in tears

Leeds can't afford Vaughans left leg.

Obviously there is still one person on the planet who still doesn`t get it-the Rhodes money is being paid in instalments! Although, IMO, I think we can afford a million if we really, really wanted the player. UTT.

That 8 million went on payin off debts

Honestly Leeds fans are ridiculous. If dean hoyle spends it then we can afford it. He has said he never expects any of the money back. At least look in to it do a bit if research before spouting rubbish about our financial situation when all is clearly not rosey at your own club

Huddersfield lost in excess of 7 million last year

Leeds don't pay 15k a week so udders dont

Lost in excess of 7million what? Pence 😜

Vaughan will be offered 18k- 20k a week to come to town. just because leeds have no money doesn't mean town hasnt

Im a Barnsley fan not leeds don't insult me

Morecambe set to sign padraig amond from accrington stanley and former bury defender mark hughes

Think Hughes will sign when his deal at Bury runs out in a couple of days. Amond signing was supposed to happen Thursday but there has been a delay following MFC decision to reimburse expenses to St Mirren and their supporters following friendly cancellation. Could result in a playing budget decrease.

Whoever decided to cancel the St Mirren game should be exposed so that the fans can direct their fury at the individual. If the repayment of money to the St Mirren fans has to come out of the playing budget then it is wrong especially if it puts a question mark against further signings.

28 Jun 2013 22:21:50
cant see it effecting the transfer budget. a weeks wages or two at most in compensation.

2 further signings to be announced this week and that should produce a squad more than capable of a few surprises

Mark hughes is a great club player, and you will get 100% out of him, sometimes that ain't what people would like but for me you can trust him to give his all!

A source from inside oldham athletic has told me latics are set to be bought in the next 2 weeks by the salford city reds owner. He has already told lee johnson to name two players he wants permanently from higher divisions. Johnson has given him the names. They are jamie vardy and suprisingly as a statement of intent he gave the name of kris commons of celtic

Why would commons give up champions league football to join oldham?

27 Jun 2013 13:42:51
Probably the reason about 30 people have marked it as unbelievable.

Haha i'm an oldham fan and even though scottish football is dire, celtic are good league 1 standard and will win everything in scotland because the teams are poor. No chance

Ignore the uneducated fellow Latics fan above me, I would welcome Commons to the club. However the rumour that the reds owner is considering a bid has been rubbished by the Oldham chronicle, the Oldham advertiser and the MEN. And now these two players have been mentioned? It's a fantasy.
Plus it's not true

Uneducated? I was saying scottish football is poor and that commons is a very good player but he will win things easily in scotland and earn more money, so no chance

It hasn't been rubbished by MEN, its been claimed by them, Oldham Chronicle have said nothing and he said he wants to buy a club and bring some old boys back from the glory days, a few days later paul bernard linked with us as a number 2, so could have something in it!

Swansea want to sign Liverpool's 21-year-old midfielder Jonjo Shelvey but will have to pay at least £5m to complete the deal. #hopenot!

Interesting how many Liverpool fans don't want him to go but most swans fans don't want him. Think he gas potential. Would rather a loan deal and us every penny to get bony

Or is this in lieu of the last instalment of the Joe Allen deal

Shelvey ok on loan but to buy him for 5M no way.

26 Jun 2013 23:45:28
Fulham F. c have accepted an offer of 6.8 million pounds from Swansea for Costa Rica international forward Bryan Ruiz Gonzalez, talks are expected to commence between the players representatives and Swansea in the coming days.

No chance. Fulham have a pre seaon tour of Costa Rica lined up leveraging Ruiz as a drawcard.

That is absolute tubbish no one will believe this you have just plucked that from thin air and there would of been aome build up on the TV and Computer about if Swansea were interested. Why would Fulham sell one of their best players to another mid table team and take a 5 million pound loss. Fulham were in need of creative players and him along side another classy midfielder could improve the squad greatly.

Two things that mean this is just a hopeful Swansea City fan making things up:
1 Bryan is worth about 1. 5-2 times that valuation
2 Jol is extremely keen on Bryan and sees him as a big part of the team he is building.

There is no truth in this what so ever. We paid around £10m for him so we wouldn't lose money on him.

He's finally settled and got much better, he was outstanding last season.

He won't be sold.

He better not go. he was class last season so this better not be true

Not a chance of that happening. I know Swansea are trying to keep Laudrup happy but the number of players they are being associated with and the fees involved are ridiculous.

Don't see it, another forward who doesn't score goals

Right, so we're going to accept a loss on our purchase price for one of our best players? Do not and will not believe it.

Its amazing looking the views of Fulham fans who love him and others who appear distinctly underwhelmed by him

I'd accept £250 for that costa rican flop.

Those that love him are easily pleased he has struggled with the pace of the prem and most of the time looks like a fish out of water shame because he had a great record at fc twente.

I have heard this too in fairness, hope he stays

Seems like Celtic will turn their attention to Philipp Hosiner if Gary Hooper leaves. Hosiner was expected to sign for Hoffenheim however talks broke down, which has reignited Celtic's interest.
