Hey Ed, so Fernando has handed in a transfer request eh? You must be gutted. Especially as you have been biting at every comment regarding the subject all day long?
To be fair I would be too. Don't think Liverpool will allow him to leave this window but say goodbye in the summer.
Now onto Sunderland rumours. Gordon will probably move on in the summer along with Henderson possibly both to Man Utd but only if we can keep Welbeck. Sunderland will only sell Henderson to Man Utd as they don't want him going somewhere to rot, a buy back clause will also be in the contract. Muntari and the other guy from PSG is almost a done deal. I would expect a 'panic buy' striker on last day of the window, not quite sure who as of yet. Possibly Sturridge from Chelsea? Would be a good move in my book but I doubt he would relocate to the good old NE.(1)(0)

I've hear from a reliable source that Norwich are interested in signing Rob Earnshaw back for a fee between the regions of 800k and 1.5m. Elliot Bennet will also sign for a fee of around 800k rising between 1m and 1.5m with Brighton also having a sell on clause on him which will mean them recieving cash if he is ever sold on.
I also understand that Lambert is willing to let Oli Johnson to stay at Yeovil for the rest of the season to get first team experience but unfortunatly he would be willing to listen to offers for Oli at the end of the season. Lambert has also inquired about bringing Cody McDonald back off his loan spell at Gillingham but unfortunatly The gills rejected it as Lambert had no valid reason for wanting him back I.e injuires to the forwards we already have so it would only take a couple of injuries for us to be able to get Cody back but I can't see it happening myself.
One more signing Lambert would like to make is that of Steve Morison from millwall the forward is rumoured to want to leave the den but millwall are yet to give norwich a price but when they do it could be anywhere between 850k and Simeon Jackson going the other way or a straight fee of 1.8m.(0)(2)

Ivory Coast international Wilfried Bony could be on his way out of Sparta Prague after Eredivisie outfit Vitesse have shown an interest in signing the promising attacker, according to a report in Isport.
The ambitious Arnhem side are eager to add some more firepower to their squad in the January transfer window and head coach Albert Ferrer reportedly sees the 22-year-old Bony as the perfect signing.
Bony joined Sparta Prague in the winter of 2007 and has developed into a key player at the Czech Republic side in the past couple of seasons. The attacker's good performances at Prague haven't gone unnoticed elsewhere and Vitesse are reportedly ready to make a move for Bony.
The report claims that the Gelderlanders are currently preparing a euros 3 million offer for the forward. It remains to be seen though whether Sparta Prague are ready to part company with Bony in the winter transfer window.(3)(4)

No deal will be struck in terms of Alex Chamberlain this week, he is intending and preparing to play against Manchester United on saturday in the FA Cup tie at St.Mary's, and it is likely that any deal could go on hold until the summer. Man Utd however are now favourties to land alex as they are more adverse to loan him back for the rest of this season and are preparing a larger bid than Arsenal, Southampton are holding firm though as they don't want to sell and don't need to - Any decision now lays within Oxlade's and his fathers hands.

100% True - Obviously can't mention his name, but i'm friends with one of the Norwich City players and has said that Freddy Eastwood was at Norwich yesterday with Paul Lambert and David McNally. Rumoured that he could be set to sign today.
Also, Elliott Bennet is expected to sign from Brighton very soon.

Ed, please post the following on your transfer rumours page or somewhere where it will get max publicity. I have placed a few rumours and comments recently and want to get the following aired:
I think it is discraceful that Blackpool have been fined for fielding a "weakened" team. Each manager has a 25 man squad to choose from. Each manager rotates players every week and in doing so must by definition strengthen or weaken the team. Therefore every manager should be charged with breaking this rule every week. So called top clubs do this in a big way after or before every European game and are never charged. How often have Arsenal put kids in League Cup games? I am not a Blackpool fan but believe this stinks of one rule for the so called top clubs and another for the rest. Why to the PL insist on a 25 man squad if the manager cannot choose from it? I also do believe that certain clubs benefit from refs not booking certain players during games due to reputation or fear of eg the Fergie/ Wenger/ other top club manager wrath. Not only does this influence the game. Later in the season see how many so called smaller clubs are missing players through suspension when playing Man U/ Arsenal/ Chelsea etc. How often do you see Rooney telling the ref to repeatedly hk off after a decision has gone against him or the ref be surrounded by players of that club protesting. Neither of which seem to result in suspensions. Apologies for this rant but it would be nice to have games on a fair playing field! If other supporters of so called "small clubs" (ie ones out of the usual top 4) agree then lets make some noise about it and put pressure on the FA/ PL to even things up.
