I can only pass on what I heard. I do not have contacts etc, not like all these CM addicts. But what I have heard is from a reliable source. Saints were interested in a season long loan but that was quickly knocked back by Beattie. We'll see what happens.
Giles Barnes will join the Hammers early this week, in a deal worth £5 million, Matty etherington may move in the opposite direction.

I heard that Birmingham trying to lure sol campbell from Portsmouth to bring expirence to the young team I know that blues are trying for Djourou from Arsenal and will probably happen because bruce and Wenger are best of friends tranfer wise. the Mido deal is still in talks but just because of a relegation Clause saying that Mido will stay at blues if blues get relegated.

Oh Hello. Phillip Lahm and a worldclass leftback, that'll be Phillip Lahm then. Look out for Newcastles attempt to crash Lyons party by offering £4 million for Mikael Silvestre who Allardyce sees as a perfect foil for both Rozenhal and the 'inexperienced', Sam's words not mine, Steven Taylor. Of course Silvestre can occupy the LB position as well as the CH role.
Dyer prefers a move to Tottenham and Jol likes him for around £4.5 million, + more with games played. This may end speculation of Shaun Wright–Phillips moving to White Heart Lane who will now be linked with a move north to SJP again. The Dyer deal may infact include Anthony Gardner or Tom Huddlestone though Huddlestone is less likely to be released.
Newcastles attempts to tempt Julio Baptista to St. James may fail dramtically as AC Milan plan to bid £11 million for the Beast of Seville. Allardyce was propsing a loan situation with a possible move to follow but this now looks highly unlikely. But hey, Newcastle has Albert Luque.
Leighton Baines looks likely to decide between Everton or Newcastle as Liverpool ready them selves for the courtcase for Heinze. Baines is a red but will have no problem playing for Everton.
Liverpool to sign Quaresma and Chiellini by the end of next week. einze is still a possibility also.
Angel Di Maria is to sign for Benfica over the weekend. I am a Liverpool fan but I cannot understand what is going on at The Emirates during the transfer window. Has Wenger completely lost the plot or what? No doubt Arsenal have players with plenty of potential but where are all the stars. I have it on good authority from a well known journalist and radio phone in guest that Tevez has already been bought by Man United for 28 Million pounds but they have agreed to let him stay at the Hammers unitll they have offload Saha to a team in Glasgow.
