Use our rumours form to send us football transfer rumours.

Anyway, on with rumours. .Shay will be leaving unfortunately, for about 9 mill, and we (Newcastle) will be using this money to. . . . line MA's pockets. Ive heard though that we may be signing Delph in exchange for Krul and Edgar.Peace out
We all know this is a rumour site and not one to settle scores between rival clubs but I feel obliged to comment on one particular point.

Martin O'Neill leaving for (ahem) family reasons??

Sorry but Martins wife contracted lymphoma and anybody who knows what a good man he is, completely respected his decision. Martin had done so much for Celtic that even if he had of wanted a move to the Premiership, the board would have granted it and the fans would still be singing his name (as they are).

Onto the rumours, Willo flood on the verge of signing for Celtic,
McManus to Newcastle? While alot of Celtic fans would like to see the bag of the big man I'm not sure selluing your captain sends out the best message. I expect WSG to hold onto him for now.
I have heard from a good source that Adams is being sacked this week and Alan Curbishley has been sounded out about joining pompey. His only remit will be to keep pompey up this season. The reason for Adams going now is that Gaydamak can not afford to take the chance of pompey going down as he looks to sell the club this year. He hopes Curbishley will boost the exsisting players performance and have enough time to turn it around. This is why Adams will go this week (Heard it will be tomorrow) to give Curbishley a chance to bring in some of 'his' players during the transfer window.
I have it on excellent authority that Darren Bent is on the verge of joining Everton on loan for the rest of the season. My source only passes on evidence–based information and has assured me that Everton and Spurs are in an advanced position regarding a final fee for the striker should Everton sign him in the summer.
Everton will not sign anyone in this transfer window, Moyes is happy to stick with what he has already got rather than be forced into buying players he doesn't want. Man City to sign Shay Given when an offer of over 10 million is made. Arsenal to sign Mbia and Veloso, good on Bolton for trying for him but he will snub you like Moutinho snubbed Everton. Blue08
There could be some truth in the robinho story, last week on here someone said that he had gone back to brazil because he had been a bit naughty in a night club with a young lady, that was over a week ago, so either someone knows whats going on or that's when the rumour started, if it is true the guys career is in ruins and city will be ouy of pocket big time,it could be another van persie , ronaldo , and was it evans who were all accused and found to be innocent, me personally think it's a load of tosh , we'll have to wait and see.
On another note Given will sign for City but only after the game and for a price of £8 million and Zarrate will arrive on last day of window for £ 22 million, trust me i'm in the know. THE TROYSTER. CTID
I'm a Liverpool fan with some news on our Blue neighbours. At 11am today, they accepted a 12 million pound bid from Man City for Lescott.

As for Moyes, he is an excellent coach and organiser and destined for bigger things eventually. I also think he is astute enough to know that despite the size of Rangers/Celtic, his career will be defined by success in bigger leagues.
West Ham will make pull of a major coup, by signing one of Italy's biggest prospects Mario Balotelli on loan for 6 months after Inter growing tired of Mario's attitude as a result of not being played in the first team. West Ham will also move for Kovac from Spartak Moscow, and will also sign Siena defender Camilo Zuniga. Nani is also trying to get Marek Hamsik for a knockdown price from Napoli, after first bringing the midfielder to Brescia, however a deal looks unlikely.
Birmingham City will secure the signing of Stoke City defender Ibrahima Sonko for £2m.
  West Ham Rumours:

IN
Savio Nsereko (Done Deal)

Dos Santos(Etherington replacement)
Micah Richards(Gabbidon replacement)
Walcott (Faubert/Dyer replacement)
Miguel Veloso (Mullins replacement)
Fred
Alan Hutton (Lucas Neil replacement)

OUT
James Collins – West Brom
Etherington – Done Deal – Stoke
Gabbidon – Boro
Faubert – Lyon
Dyer – Blackburn
Mullins – Done Deal – Pompey
Lucas Neil – Tottenham

COYI!!!
Aiden McGeady to sign for Aston Villa (£6m), Stephen McManus to sign for Newcastle (£4m) and Scott Brown to sign for Pompey (£8.5m)
Darren Bent to QPR for 5.5 million before the transfer window closes, to give Rangers that big push for the play offs they require
  onto rumours. .

David Beckham will sign a permanent contract at AC milan before his loan deal is up.

Shay Given will sign for Manchester City within this transfer window.

Tony Adams will attempt to bring in exciting, big name players as promised but will end up with a mediocre squad (mullins and pele).
A very good source has informed me that Arshavin will join this thursday PM. Done deal!!! Just waithing to get the everton game out of the way to avoid any distractions. Will be available for the FA cup replay against Cardiff
Arshavin will be the last signing for the Jan transfer window.
As for Rosicky, he was indeed banned for 1 year for a failed drugs test. He was not taking a performance inhancement drugs but more of a social drug (very similar to Rio Ferdinand) He is back as of the 26th Jan which makes it a full year.
As the Arshavin deal continues to be negotiated, heres the current situation. Zenit are happy to accept the bid that Arsenal have offered for Arshavin and the player is happy to lower his wage demands to suit Arsenal. All that now stands in the way of the deal being completed is Zenit's demands of compensation from Arshavin, that was a clause in the contract he signed which said that if he was to leave before the contract was up he would have to pay the club around 3.5m in compensation. Arshavin wants this money from Arsenal, however Arsenal would not pay this. Zenit however have offered a life line to the deal by announcing that they are willing to lower the transfer fee as long as the compensation is payed. This makes no difference to Arsenal as they would be paying roughly the same amount. However Arsenal have said they have made their final offer. The deal now essentially depends on Arsenal being bothered to sort this out. As Wenger is very keen on signing Arshavin, he will give Zenit want they want as it is no more money than we have already offered, as the transfer fee will be lowered providing the compensation is payed. This means the deal is very likely to go through before the weekend (Thursday or Friday) as Wenger is fully concentrated on the Everton game tonight and come the weekend will be fully concentrated on the West Ham game. This deal should happen and looks likely to.

Thanks,
Arsene–al
As a rangers fan, i have to admit that i have a bit of a soft spot for Everton. Some links include ex players and managers of scottish nationality, big walter, big dunc and also they hate the red mob as well!!!!

However, i find it hard to beleive that you lot think you are a bigger club than Rangers, come on. We may play in a bad league, but the Uefa Cup was not a bad league, yes Cuellar was a big reason, that's why he was worth 8 mil. We never played Everton in the final, what round did you lot make it too, who put you out again???

Also another point, someone talked about rejects in the EPL moving up to Scotland. . . Arteta had half a good season with the Bears, didnt like the rough and tumble and all of a sudden he was homesick cough cough and liked the sun too much, popstar!
I have just spotted micheal owen getting into a ppl carrier ouside the villa stadium
this is big news for villa fans (although bad for newcastle. )
Not a rumour, just a pat on the back really to the dude that said Robinho would get questioned about the nightclub incident. Nice to see someone bang on the money for once.
Kudos!
a small rumour coming out of parkhead is that McGeady will go in the summer. Apparently he questioned not just Strachan's commitment to celtic but also scott brown as he said he was a 'hun' and 'what did he know about playing for celtic'. He also gave out the same treatment to Caldwell and Robson and his attitude is still a problem. Look for him to go to Newcastle or Citeh for £12m
  all arsenal fans big news!!
i have a very good record with posting on this site (rosicky, Hleb, Flamini to milan, Gallas, & eduardo moves have all been posted by me!) so take from this what you will.
Arshavin deal is now not happening however AW is now looking at an english talent in the shape of ASHLEY YOUNG!!! i understand that the fee is around 15m plus 2 players (possibly Gallas & Bendtner although this is speculation. If aw doesn't agree this then expect a move for either joe Cole or Gareth Barry in the summer.
Richards is looking more and more likely and don't be surprised if Richard Dunne arrives as well although first options on Vela & Walcott are part of the deal.
Veloso WILL be arriving in the summer for around 11.5m.
expect a keeper to arrive in summer. Robert Green looks likely but aw is keeping a close eye on long term target Seb Frey
Adebayor to get flogged in summer if his form turns around as he is proving inconsistent fee depending on form is 20 – 30m Milan is the most likely as Inzaghi may retire at the end of the season.
If cesc does leave for Barca Wengers is insistent that bojan comes as part of the deal. If not Wenger will look at Giovinco again particularly if walcott moves to a more central role after ade leaves.
Arsenal fans get excited i'm rarely wrong and only post when i get my facts right! This is not fantasy football these WILL happen. The only stumbling block is if we finish outside the top 4 which i'm sure we won't
Come on you Gooners

  PLYMOUTH ARGYLE NEWS

as relegation looms over the horizion for the pilgrims, it should not go unnoticed that the board and manager have been building a team to play attacking football in league 1. something i said would happen last june/july. The lower league and non–league players bought in are good but lack experience, they are currently on loan to get match practise, while some have already impressed. more are being scouted and a forward/ 2 midfield players, a goalkeeper, and 2 defenders (right/left back) are being sought. expect a massive summer clear out, of most of the fringe/and some over–the–hill first teamers on large wages as the overall running cost of the club need to be reduced. Sturrock will not be sacked but moved upstairs if things do not improve if plymouth do not get promotion next season. oh and the car park is to be relayed.

Rumours abound in D.I.F.C (Dubai International Financial Centre) that RBS and Wichovia have guaranteed the Maktoum family first shout at purchasing Liverpool when the Yanks go belly up in a few months. Any and all financing has been agreed with the Maktoums but it is all down to timing. Angered by Hicks greed the Arabs are just waiting to snatch the club up for less than they offered a few months back. Sheik Mohammed will have no connection to the club, rather it will be his second son, the current deputy ruler of the emirate, who will be the figure head. The other family in Dubai that were interested in buying into the EPL have supposedly chosen another sporting route, F1 by all accounts, to mass market their empire.
Leeds United: Okay, now the rumours are that Chris Taylor, Tim Krul, David Edgar, Micheal Nelson and Joel Porter will have signed by the end of the week. We will also, apparently, be buying back our beloved Thorp Arch. Now, I don't mean to be rude, but Mr. Bates is no Sheikh Mansour, and he is currently working on several developments around Elland Road, so I'm wondering how he'll finance this. Okay, the debts are settled, but lets not get carried away. Taylor looks most likely, with up to 1mil and Neil Kilkenny going the other way, but I personally would love to see Nelson too, he is well worth a hefty transfer fee. Nice to see Grayson make a good start, 3–in–a–row, wow. . All im saying is, Kenneth Batesworthy isn't well–reknowned for his generosity. Ah well. Malcolm Shaffer
Inside knowledge regarding Celtic FC: –

Celtic will sign Willo Flood from Cardiff for £120K on Monday 2nd February 2009. They are also in talks about tying up a pre–contract agreement for the Hannover winger Hutzsi, however Bayer Leverkusen are keen on him and he prefers the German climate apparently. Expect a last minute £100K offer to bring the Dundee Utd keeper Zaluska in January.

Stephen Appiah has contacted Celtic to give him a contract as they rejected him last month due to his greed. £65K a week has been quoted, however celtic are only prepared to offer a pay as you play deal due to a long existing knee injury.

Steven Fletcher is keen to join ex Hibs team mate Scott Brown at Parkhead and has been in contact with Gordon Strachan numerous times. Will probably happen in the summer. Another summer signing will be James McCarthy of Hamilton for around £800K plus add ons. Special player.

Rumours of club captain Steven McManus possibly leaving are unbelievably true. His respect at the club his dwindelled recently and they feel any offers above £3m would be good business for a home grown talent. Gary Caldwell to take over as captain with the young O'Dea to play along side him.

Heard possiblities of foreign signings fallen through numerous times, crespo and saviola both agreed terms only to reject at the last minute.

Couple of loan to buy bids to be made for Ched Evans, Luis Enrique, Javier Garrido and Gelsen Fernandes but probably only 2 will be accepted.

+++++++++ Enquiry has been made about Robbie Keane's situation. Possible 4month loan deal costing over £2m + wages. ++++++++++

I have heard there are a few bonds building between Arsenal and West Bromwich Albion (Evident with the loan singing of Simpson), with Arsenal keen to add to their young English talent.
They have alreay singled out two emerging talents, George Thorne (England under 16's midfielder) and Ryan Allsop (England under 17's Goalkeeper), with a couple of others being closely watched by the gunners.
Jack Lester is close to joining Notts County from Chesterfield. Hope not we can't afford to lose another striker.
Andy Reid to Tottenham is absolutly ridiculous??

Some real rumours which I have are as follows

Carlton Cole – Juventus 8Mill
Appiah – Tottenham Free
Saviola – Portsmouth Loan
Harewood – Portsmouth 2.5 Mill
Santa Cruz – Man City 25Mill
Antonio Valencia – Man City 20 Mill
Van Nistlerooy – PSV 10Mill
Florent Malouda – Inter 14Mill
Micah Richards – Arsenal 16Mill
Bentdner – Bayern Muncich – 7Mill

Have also heard from an inside source that Frannie Jeffers is off to Sheff Utd to replace big Beattie. Heard this from my best mate who plays academy there
