Everton, Tottenham and West Ham are all in the race for Scotland skipper Barry Ferguson from Rangers. He has been stripped of his Rangers captaincy and transfer listed. Birmingham are also after him.

With Henrik Larsson already tied up, Pavel Nedved could soon be donning the Red of MUFC after he reacted angrily to being banned for 5 games in Serie B. Another bid will be launched for Owen Hargreaves although he probably won't sign until the summer window.
Summer
Sir Alex Ferguson will launch bids for Owen Hargreaves, if unsuccessful in January, Fernando Torres if Atletico don't make it into the Champions League, that is preferable due to the fact that Torres wants to play in the Champions League. Bids for Nani or Quaresma could be made in January although SAF would rather wait until the summer because he feels that Giggs, Park, Richardson and of course Ronaldo plus Fletcher, if needed, to fill the wings and doesn't want to unsettle the squad with too many signings in January. The Glazer family have promised around £25m for a "Galactico" type signing, Torres would be the one to fill it, although Káka is growing a little unhappy at Milan, i'm not saying United will even bid for him, but if available who knows? Finally a right-back will be purchased, Heitinga, Nelson and Ratinho the 3 main contenders to fill Neville's boots as Danny Simpson is too inexperienced. Gareth Bale is also a possible signing, but SAF would allow him to stay at St.Mary's for another 18 months.

Im not sir alex's wife but i've heard from a very reliable source that deco may be coming to man united. He is unhappy in Spain and has stated that he loves th prem. Man U have been after him for a long time! We will also sign torres in summer 24mil, bale in jan 7mil and hargreaves in jan for 14mil red devils 2 win the prem!
Great news for LFC. We will be buying 19 year old wonderkid arda turan. he is a great player with loads of skill, pace and intelligence. great passer and crosser of the ball and not greedy. and unlike kerlon (the so called next ronaldiniho) has skills that would actully work in the premiership unlike the pathetic seal dribble. he plays for galatasaray and played very well against us in the champions league and if that wasn't good enough the free kick master david beckham may be on his way aswell if the price is right
Fulham are set to sign Danny Murphy in the transfer window in a cut price deal from Tottenham. The ex Charlton and Liverpool winger looks set to move in the next few days. It is unlikely that Edgar Davids will return to Ajax this month but it seems Kanu may be off from Portsmouth with Redknapp looking at replacements.

To the person who said leicester will loan ebanks-blake from man utd. this is not posible as plymouth signed him for £250,000 in the summer, also argyle have been linked with jarvis(gillingham), porter(oldham) and a big central defender but no names have yet been mentioned

So the transfer window has reopend and I have some news on both Merseyside teams. First of all the blue half of Merseyside. David Moyes is looking to strenghen his midfield and will try to bring in Joey Barton from Manchester City for 5.5 million. The midfielder is a life long evertonian and would welcome a chance to play for his boyhood club. I have also been informed that Moyes will try to sign Kevin Nolan aswel as Barton. Bolton would want James Beattie as part of the deal but Moyes would prefer to involve Simon Davies. Moyes will also try to sign a right back as this has been the Toffee's biggest problem this season because Tony Hibbert has been injured. Moyes will target Stuart Parnaby of Middlesborough. The defender is out of contract in the summer and will be availible for 500k. Expect Everton to make the loan signing of Tim Howard a permanant one.
Over to the red side of Merseyside now and Liverpool will make a bid to sign West Ham flop Javier Mascherano. Benitez believes he can get the best out of him in the Premiership and he will replace the outgoing Mohammed Sissoko who will leave to sign for Juventus. Let me take this chance to also inform you that Valencia striker David Villa will not sign for Liverpool as he is committed to Valencia and does not want to play in the Premiership. Liverpool will sign Lucas Neill from Blackburn for 1 million.
