Possible. Good experience

02 Jun 2013 22:27:33
Plymouth Argyle to unveil two newest signings this week, Alex MacDonald and Stephan Zubar.

If you are going to make stuff up, make sure that it is plausible. Macdonald has signed for Burton

Alex McDonald would sign but we wouldn't get zubar because we would have to pay for him

MacDonald has gone to Burton

03 Jun 2013 07:40:48
Zubar would be an Amazing signing! Not sure about Alex Macdonald because he doesn't score enough, but I think Sharidans definetly capable of getting the best out of him!

Would that be the Alex McDonald who signed for Burton Albion recently?

Uncle Bulgaria

McDonald is off to Burton and Argyle cannot afford Zubar

Alex macdonald is signing for Burton! And zubar will not be coming back considering how expensive he will be + the centre backs we already have: blanchard branston nelson Richards wotton, I'm sure we'll sign another centre back but I doubt it will be him

MacDonald could go back to Plymouth, he's not signed anything yet at Burton.

02 Jun 2013 22:21:21
paul clement will be new manager at millwall.

02 Jun 2013 22:15:33
Bradley wright-Phillips in early negotiations with Oldham about a possible deal!

He is going to brentford

I'll eat my hat.

Rubbish! No way we could afford him

02 Jun 2013 22:10:19
Swansea City are to bid 2m for Aston Villa midfielder Barry Bannan.

He's crap and not Swansea standard-from a villa supporter

Seems he is going to Leicester City now.

02 Jun 2013 21:31:59
Fabrizio Grillo is one of three Italians on trial at Bury who will also complete the signing of Stephane Zubar on Tuesday.

Not sure how Grillo can be currently on trial at Gigg Lane when the squade don't report for training until the beginning of July. Also Grillo signed for Siena this Summer after being out of contract at Serie B club Varese.

Whos the other 2

It is understood that Januzaj from man united will join bury until January also

02 Jun 2013 21:27:58
Coventry city look set to sign experienced stopper paul smith from southend utd on a 2 year contract

Take him, please take him

I thought this was a done deal already?

Has his critics but a steady keeper

Has a brentford fan smith played a blinder against us last season the best display of keepin I have ever witnessed if we didint have moore i'd love him back good signin for coventry

03 Jun 2013 10:18:57
Coventry can't sign anyone until they are out of administration

02 Jun 2013 21:22:50
Chris zeroski to sign for Swindon in the next 2 weeks but flint, wes and McCormack leaving this week

Kevin McDonald admits the club have no money and will struggle to keep them in league 1 next season

02 Jun 2013 21:52:00
Swindon have some of the best gates in the division, so it can do well with the £2. 4 m wages budget

Amazing when he has just signed for Newport county

Best rumour of the year, awesome stuff well done.

Kmac has said nothing of the sort. don't make up quotes based on your own insecurities.

The poster above KMAC has said nothing of the sort, in FACT Kmac is silent and has said nothing since he took over.

02 Jun 2013 21:11:59
Another two names circulating the rumour mill;
Midfielder Falqu on loan from Tottenham Hotspur and the forward Jeffery Schlupp of Leicester

Going to which club?

02 Jun 2013 21:07:55
Ipswich to conclude deals for two forrester's- Harry from brentford and chris of st pat's.

Maybe they can lure Jamie Forrester out of retirement whilst they're at it.

Why sign forrester he is inconsistent

02 Jun 2013 21:07:46
West bromwich Albion are supposidly looking at free agent carlton cole. please tell me this ain't true, he is awful!

03 Jun 2013 09:07:28
I wouldn't be surprised if this is true, he's a free transfer and has England caps and plenty of Premier League experience, he'd offer a different type of option to the manager that the squad doesn't presently have which altogether probably make him an appealing option.

So long as he was brought in to offer strength in depth and his salary were to reflect that he'd be a squad player only, then this might not be too bad of a gamble.

Never happening don't worry

Hes not a free agent he's still at west ham

Hes available on a free

I would be happy good target man and proven premier league goalscorer

04 Jun 2013 12:31:25
would be a straight up replacement for Fortune if we let him go! would prefer to keep Fortune!

02 Jun 2013 21:05:59
West Brom midfielder youseff mulumbu WILL sign a contract extension with the baggies amid speculation of a £4m move to fiorentina. Peter odemwingie is still a target for harry redknapp incase loic remy wishes to leave due to there relegation. Stoke city could offer remy premiership football again but wages could b an issue

I think the bigger issue with Remy is that he could be going to jail for a very long time on a rape charge.

02 Jun 2013 20:55:39
Wycombe set to sign striker Ashley Grimes on a free transfer. The move will be completed after the 26 year old has completed his medical. He will be Gareth Ainsworths first signing of the summer.

02 Jun 2013 20:19:27
Crystal palace are set to offer Aston villa 8m for Darren Bent and set to up their offer to 1.2m for Johnny Russell.

Can't see Palace spending that much on a single player. Board have already made noises in that direction

Bent could be a possibilty, russell was a man for the championship but I wouldn't mind seeing him down in se25

02 Jun 2013 20:15:44
Shola amoebi and sylvain ebanks Blake set to form a new look middlesbrough attack next season, deals also lined up for dean whitehead and Albert adomah utb

My only worry is the injury to ebanks-blake and how injury prone ameobi is. in the past he's always done well at the riverside mind.
Id love whitehead in the centre of the park. a true professional willing to put in a good shift. UTB.

Adomah going to Burnley

Why would adomah go to burnley. Use are going to get relegated next year

Whitehead fits the boro mold. he's hard working and tough tackling. would be good along side leadbitter.

Adomah will go to an ambitious champ side or maybe Cardiff (as I've seen on here) why would he want to go to a place that resembles the league of gentlemen? (Burnley)

We won't get shola Ameobi, he's too old we might get sammy Ameobi though

Is whitehead at free agent? It's possible if he is

02 Jun 2013 20:31:23
Craig reid will leave aldershot to sign for Newport County this week

No way got our full capacity of strikers now

02 Jun 2013 20:34:15
Shrewsbury to make a cheeky bid for leon Clarke from coventry as they are desperate for funds - 200k expected fee

He going orient because better money

Shrewsbury have serious ambitions of promotion this season and turner has said that two strikers are coming in and will pay big fees for them - Clarke, Boyce and tubbs main players linked

Shrewsbury is better money too

Leon Clarke? 257 games, 62 goals? No thanks!

Played for too many clubs (deep breath in):

Wolves
Kidderminster (loan)
QPR (loan)
Plymouth (loan)
Sheff Wed
Oldham (loan)
Southened (loan)
QPR (again)
Preston (loan)
Swindon (loan)
Chesterfield (loan)
Charlton
Crawley (loan)
Scunthorpe (loan)
Coventry

15 clubs - 62 goals, averaging about 4 goals per club! Hardly prolific?

No chance clarke will leave.

If you don't ask!

He has a good scoring record at league 1

02 Jun 2013 20:23:20
Derby interested in Brighton defender Adam El Abd I'm told. He is out of contract in summer and the Rams are ready to make their move for the Egyptian international.

The rumour from Brighton is Derby may go for Lewis Dunk, now he's been cleared at court.

He will sign a new contract with Brighton

Seen this rumour on a Rams messager board. Seems he has just come back from an serious injury.

Don't know too much about him but Clough has an eye for a central defender.

Middlesbrough also want el-abd

Clough only wants British players

Do your research - El-Abd IS British! Born in Brighton and lived there all his life.

Also, he has not just come back from serious injury.

He is English. Born in Brighton qualifies through farther

El-abd is british and egyptian he has duel nationality, he is decent but as a derby fan its got to be said he is the same as bucko who is good but you don't want 2 buckos on the pitch at once

He Was born in Hastings actually but I guess it was the same county when he was born so pretty close

According to the The PFA Footballers' Who's Who El-Abd WAS born in Brighton.

02 Jun 2013 19:50:38
Scott Arfield has emerged as a target for both Coventry and Walsall as well as Port vale. The former U21 Scotland international is said to be close to agreeing terms at the Bescot but the other 2 clubs remain optimistic should things not work out.

02 Jun 2013 20:04:40
charlton are light on strikers so 2 loan targets being inquired about

Jamie vardy who charlton were after at the very end of there league 1 championship winning campaign before Leicester paid over the odds for him.

and Apostolos Vellios from everton who barely plays but was exciting when he first joined the merseyside club.

also on free's ebanks blake, cole and waghorn

You won't get Waghorn on a free dream on

Vellios will be going back to greece on loan for the season

Don't want cole back thanks.

02 Jun 2013 20:06:30
Ex-Sunderland and Newcastle striker Michael Chopra set for Ipswich exit.

Middlesbrough the first to contact him over a move to the riverside.

I couldn't see us going for chopra.
Maybe a few yrs ago but he's past his best by a long shot.

I'd drive him there myself. over-rated, over confident, over the hill!

02 Jun 2013 22:16:13
Chopra is useless.

^ Don't forget overpaid!

Can't believe anyone in their right mind would want chopra, arrogant overpaid waste of space

^^ don't forget overweight!

02 Jun 2013 19:37:57
Yeovil to sign ex west ham and ex senegal international Papa bouba diop on a 1 year deal as yeovil need a experienced player to lead the team due to macallister not up to chapmionship standered

Considering this was Macca's first season out of the championship for 5/6 years he's good enough by far!

McAllister not up to Championship standard?

Macca struggled in league one

How did macca sturggle in league one? we sturggled when he was injured!

Do you actually watch yeovil macca is quality. yeah he has lost his pace but he is a great leader and everytime he has been injured our defence looks very poor

02 Jun 2013 19:21:46
Ryan Lowe is set to be announced as a bury player tomorrow as he makes a long waited return to Gigg Lane from MK Dons for an undisclosed fee.
Tom Soares and Ben Parker are also set to be announced.

Thought Bury had big money problems so I doubt whether you will be successful in these quests

Taken over by wealthy owners last week

About time lowe is leaving he is rubbish!

Yes please do catch up with the latest news coming out of Gigg Lane.

It's official "THE MIGHTY SHAKERS" are back from the brink.

That's got to be grave news for the other promotion contenders in league 2 we will Bury them with our winning football style.

How can you say that? First season with the Dons and joint top scorer! And he works hard every week!

Lowe is at the village bromborough now

Considering he was interviewed by the Bury Times on Saturday and said no approach had been made I would be amazed to see him sign for Bury tomorrow!

Bury can have him. I think we were lucky to get a decent season out of him last term. We should offload him while somebody is willing to take him.

Thanks for the goals Ryan, good luck to you!

02 Jun 2013 19:15:10
bury made formal bid for mk dons striker ryan lowe and burton albion striker calvin zola as they look for a whole new squad to get them back into leauge 1

Why would Zola sign for another L2 club?

Higher ambittions of promotion at bury

If Burton finish one place higher this season there promoted. How ambitious do you want?

That was a one off season for BTFC their rightful place is struggling at the bottom end of league 2.

03 Jun 2013 17:56:55
Get real Bury fan, Burton Albion are a progressive club looking to improve - everyone knows Bury's History more down than up.

03 Jun 2013 18:19:17
Who are BTFC? Assuming you are talking about Burton Albion then that's a typical comment from a supporter of a team that's been in the league for years and has no understanding of the quality of the teams coming out of non league. Still, you'll see for yourself in 2 years time because the way your going you'll be in the Conference yourselves!

Obviously you never watched Burton last year, its not a one off were here to stay.

Money mate.

Burton have improved massively on the small budget they have. They may lose some big players but with in-demand McGurk possibly joining, it shows how far they've come

Money? that wouldn't be much of a problem for us (burton), our chairman ben robinson has made quite a substantial amount of money from insurance. {Ed003's Note - them claims for spilling paint on your carpet soon add up ;) }

02 Jun 2013 19:01:43
Seydou Doumbia to sign for Southampton as long term replacement for Rickie Lambert.

Yes, he's going to leave the Russian champions to come to us. I totally see it happening.

Hope not although his goal return is very good he only played four games last season

st stuie

This would be amazing, I doubt it but could happen as the premier league is a very exciting prospect to build his reputation although if it did he won't get championsleague football next year so hard to say really

Hard to say?its obviously made up what next Emenike s on his way

02 Jun 2013 18:18:47
1% ITK

I was told last night by a chap who works for the WBA in the community team, that Clarkes end of season meeting with our extremely self serving chairman about next seasons transfer funds did not go at all well. Apparently Clarke was told that he needs to sell before he can buy even with an extra 26 mill coming into the clubs coffers. Clarke stormed out the meeting and has become very disallusioned with Peaces penny pinching ways. I can see a lot of us Baggies fans being very disappointed this summer. In most fans eyes Peace can do no wrong, but let's not forget he now owns 59. 9% of the club without investing a single penny of his own fortune. I'll put my house on it Clarke won't be at the Albion come the new season.

02 Jun 2013 19:06:33
manchester city are looking to add 4 signings to there squad this summer with navas and isco set to come in from la liga. a third player is inters rannochia and a 4th napolis cavani

02 Jun 2013 19:05:24
Southampton set to double raid Roma for Erik Lamela and Mattia Destro for a combined fee of £28million.

They could get Lamela for £22m but Destro would cost another £14-15m

Bargain.

Would be £35m+ for both of them IMO.

Would be amazing but very unlikely.

Why 'unlikely' Saints will sign them expert poster above?
Please share with us your vast experience and personal knowledge on these transfers

Well both players are at top clubs in the Italian Serie A which is one of the top European Leagues. Both already play regularly in Europe and don't have any real reason to leave their club for Southampton who aren't the type to go offering huge wage packages to lure players to the club. Yes we managed with Ramirez but he was coming from a smaller Serie A club, not already in Europe and taking a pay increase because Bologna weren't offering him all that much. He could've moved to Liverpool but the pay would've been similar with less first team opportunity which he needs to develop. Plus no chance both would come for less than £30million because both could easily go for £20million each.

03 Jun 2013 16:58:57
Id rather take Osvaldo than Destro though.

I'd love this especially Lamela

Mr Unlikely,
I believe Roma missed out on European football this season and only finished 6th in the league this term, so no European football next season. Why stay there? Hardly setting their careers on fire at Roma which, considering the talked about financial decline of the Italian league I suspect we would easily beat their current wages and in the process up their profile considerably. And in addition your transfer price estimates are way overblown. If noone offers them more than us, Roma may well be interested in cashing in

^ Destro > Osvaldo

Destro is Italy's next big thing. Quality striker and still only young.

02 Jun 2013 18:29:17
Barnsley will offer a contract to free agent Lee Camp if Steele leaves

True hopefully he's better than steel

Steele has been superb for us, don't knock him just because he's out of contract. It's the club who have to show his value by being fair on a contract. Especially when his best years are still ahead. Most keepers peak between 30-34 years old.

Hesm a good keeper

I really like Steele and hope he doesn't go.
He has saved us many matches last season and when he wasn't playing we all wanted him on
So come on Baensley offer him more money

Fair enough he can pull a good save off but he can't catch and he flops at the ball

Not at nine grand a week he isn't, twice more than the other players

He's been one of the best barnsley keepers in the last 10 years he's made a few mistakes but he pulls out some amazing saves and kept us this season

Wold Camp be on a Bozman or would there be a feee?

Lee Camp was released by Norwich so there would not be any fee involved

Steel is ok at shot stopping, that's all,
He does not command the area enough for me, and if its to his left or right he's usually picking it out of the net, our goals against column does not lie,
It's not all down to him by a long shot but he's our last line of defence.

Steele is one r best keepers in championship yer clowns. as for camp he's a load of s****

Steel is one of the best at picking the ball out the net,
That's why we are always at the bottom of the championship,
He's been at barnsley along time, if he was that good he would have been long gone, (wally)

P. s there's only one clown and he's between the sticks,

02 Jun 2013 18:53:00
a web site are reporting that bookies have suspended betting on Julio Casear joining Arsenal. Usually a sign that its a done deal.

02 Jun 2013 18:50:16
Has lee croft signed for doncaster or what?

Hope PD keeps him slim seeing he never noticed he was 2stone over weight.

RELEGATION for Donny, so funny. THE PLAYERS DID EVER SO WELL AND WE ARE IN A MINI LEAGUE NOW. WAIT FOR THE COMMENTS. LMAO

Please can you think of a new moan about Dickov as you are now becoming very boring. Rovers will probably have a tough season whoever is managing us, but that is more to do with the size of the club, prospective budget, and level of competition. but genuine Rovers fans will be behind the club and Chairman, John Ryan. RTID

I hope Lee does join us, he played well against us and would be an asset to our squad, a great loss probably to Oldham hence all the grief but one player doesn't make a team.

Croft got 1 goal last year and played most of the games. Why would we want him? Would be a poor signing.

02 Jun 2013 18:47:04
David Artell will be allowed to take up a contract offer at Chester FC.

02 Jun 2013 18:46:59
Walsall are lining up released Blackpool winger Gerardo Bruna (22) to replace the departing Jamie Paterson who looks to be on his way out of the Banks's stadium this summer

Bruna signed for Blackpool in 2011 from Liverpool but only played 2 times in his two year spell for the seasiders, Bruna had some issues with his attitude while at Bloomfield road but Dean Smith still feels he has a lot of potential and is willing to give him a chance

Bruna is NOT a winger

Walsall Fc fan, sell paterson 1. 75mill and get a GOOD stiker church and a donkey in Alan Lee
Let grigg go to a solid championship side but don't let brandy go for another season, paterson and brandy going both our wingers.

We will push for promotion next season if we sell big and buy good :D

You're getting the next messi in? dream come true!

02 Jun 2013 17:51:05
Huddersfield town are looking at Hadi Sacko from Bordeaux. 6 month loan with a view to a permanent signing.

Wow, this lad looks the part

Very promising.

02 Jun 2013 17:29:32
Sligo Rovers star Anthony Elding is set for a return to English football with League 1 sides Tranmere, Stevenage and League 2 York all looking at the striker.

This guys had more clubs than I've had hot baths so its not impossible

02 Jun 2013 17:27:25
Lots of rumours about Bristol City's Adomah. Can play on the wing and it is rumoured that they want 2 million for him. Is he good enough for Norwich, IF he joins?

02 Jun 2013 19:24:17
I haven't heard that one (BCFC supporter) but Palace, 'Boro, Cardiff and Reading are being linked with uncle Albert.
Good enough for the Prem? Certainly not consistent enough but on his game (which needs to happen more often) he could be IMHO.
He's a bag of tricks and can beat players with ease. His delivery could be better and he needs to get his head up more but with a bit of coaching, he could be Prem class.
We are going to miss Albert!

No he's not, NOT good enough for the Prem, not yet anyway!

I agree he easily beats his man but his cross and finish is poor not prem class yet

Both Norwich and Swansea are in talks with Sporting over star winger Diego Capel.

late last night it was "reported" that swans had won the battle for 5.5mEuro. but that has come to be known as untrue.

a bidding war is expected to go on between the two clubs.

Hasn't stopped Walcott!. sometimes players need to be given a go

Adomah "can play on the wing", LOL - well, he's a winger so. yeah

Albert has real potential, genuine pace, and more importently acceleration, when he gets going he is hard to stop.

People saying he hasn't got Premier League quality need to remember he was playing in the worst team in the league last year.

The lads an unpolished diomand.

Baring in mind the size of the tv deals in the prem he is worth £2m of anyones cash.

02 Jun 2013 17:25:43
After over a year of persistently trying, Steve Evans has finally reached an agreement with Bournemouth to bring Matt Tubbs to Rotherham. The fee is around 300k with potential add ons!

This is believable, however I think the fee would be a little higher. for all the people posting that matt tubbs will go on a season long loan stop wasting your time.

Good, we need to get shot of him and get better quality in, high earner too, will free up some wages

Wheres the 300k fee come from?

02 Jun 2013 17:17:23
any good reading news guys? who do you reading fans think we should sign?

Jasmin Kurtic, Pacheco, Austin, fonte, nyatanga, Augustien, sharp and for the love of god not prado

I reckon our minimum requirements should be: A New Full Back, Centre Back, At least 1 winger depending who leaves, and at least one striker.
I can see us signing:
Albert Adomah from Bristol City
Billy Sharp from Southampton
Scott Dann from Blackburn
Jerome Thomas from West Brom (Free Agent?)
I think Figueroa (LB) would also be a decent left back to bring in - prem experience and a free agent.

Optimistic signings:
Schwarzer (if McCarthy leaves) - again a free agent and may want to stay near London.
Jordan Rhodes/Charlie Austin - Will probably go to a prem team but If we only sign Sharp as a forward we would be lacking in depth upfront, especially if roberts is injured
Jamie O'Hara - (Maybe) dragged down by the rest of wolves' team this season, could be worth a look?
Feel free to object/add :)

02 Jun 2013 17:13:05
just seen martin jol and bill kenwright waiting to board a flight to Liverpool?

02 Jun 2013 16:49:50
Matty Done to Bradford or Port Vale

02 Jun 2013 16:39:19
Old Brighton player Leon Knight set to go on trial with Brighton for 2 weeks to gain match fitness and then possibly off to Oxford United on a 2 year contract

Very funny

The way he left Brighton won't want him back even for two weeks

Why would he want to train with Brighton? When he left he said he wishes Brighton got relegated.

It's been fun watching him fail at every club he has been at since Brighton. He thought he was far better than he was, conference quality at very best these days

03 Jun 2013 22:29:29
He was a good servant to the club whilst he was here and still talks of his time at the club on twitter, so to the person that said he wanted them to get relegated it was obviously heat of the moment comments because he never says a bad word about the club.

Why did he refuse to play for us then during the 2006/07 season

05 Jun 2013 00:29:48
He was great and then got to big for his size 5 shoes. He has failed at every club since. He is a trouble maker and uses twitter to abuse people. Brighton should rip down the poster of him at the amex. He is a disgrace to professionalism

02 Jun 2013 16:38:32
Walsall set to announce a double swoop of Alan Lee and Simon Church. Seen as a major coup for the ambitious saddlers. Pair to be unveiled shortly. Watch this space. High wages not an issue due to Walsall`s off-field commertial activity.

What!

Walsall do well commercially but any talk of "wages not an issue" proves you know nothing about the Saddlers. As a season ticket holder wages are very much an issue and so any talk of Church is way off the mark. They have one of the smallest budgets in league 1.

02 Jun 2013 16:27:51
hi ed any news on barnsley in or out

02 Jun 2013 16:24:42
Javier Acuna looks close to signing for Crystal Palace from Real Madrid. He is a striker who has spent the last 2 years on loan to Girona FC and scored 15 goals this season.

Yes please.

02 Jun 2013 16:03:33
Adam Chapman is signing for Newport County. Free transfer although Oxford will have a sell on clause should he be sold on in the future.

Not a free, undisclosed fee, with a sell on a fee.
25% of the fee has gone to sheff utd.

02 Jun 2013 15:20:11
Plymouth boss John Sheridan believes it is 50-50 whether player of the year Onismor Bhasera will re-sign for the League Two club. Argyle have offered Bhaz a new contract but he is currently stalling on signing, as he speaks to other clubs.

The argyle face a battle to keep their star players as a number of clubs are interested in the zimbabwe international including league one side Walsall and fellow league two side Scunthorpe

This is the kind of rumour that actually could happen. Would fit the Walsall wages bracket.

02 Jun 2013 17:07:48
Erik Pieters and Kevin Strootman set for a move to Stoke City, thought to be a £15 million deal.

Hughes is also prepping a bid £10 million for Victor Wanyama {Ed027's Note - Strootman will cost more than 15m alone, Wanyama would also be around 15m, plus both want to play in the CL, there current clubs offer that.

Possible unless stoke sell a few players to raise some funds. Can't see Hughes being allowed to spend too much without raising some himself.

Ed do not forget PSV failed to progress in the Europa this year so Strootman don't have a great chance of much CL football and also due to the SPL not being a popular league Wanyama may wish to pursue his career elsewhere. However I do doubt these players would go to Stoke.

02 Jun 2013 17:06:33
Swindon have now had 2 bids in writing from championship clubs for Wes Fodderingham, expect a deal to be done in the next 2 weeks when he returns from holiday

Nah Clayton Donaldson was the best (IMO) striker we played against last season.

QPR interested in Foders, Swindon looking for £1.5million plus add ons.

02 Jun 2013 17:00:30
To all fans Andy Carroll has agreed to come to the hammers

02 Jun 2013 16:56:05
Sanchez Watt to sign for Colchester this week

He is signing for middlesbrough

How come there is nothing appearing on the Boro forum relating to Watt!

BIG COMING OUT OF POSH- and the news is that they are expected to to sign rory delap and ricardo fuller on free transfers and the big name departure is Dwight Gayle is going to Aston Villa for 4 mil

Maybe gayle out but we wouldn't have them old boys

I have it from a reliable source that they have approached middlesbrough for tony Mowbray

Martin o'neil will not drop down the championship

Crystal Palace rumours:
Possible replacements for Zaha
Ince 8mil Blackpool
M. Phillips 4mil Blackpool
Adomah 1.5mil Bristol City
Redmond 2mil Birmingham
Sinclair 4mil Manchester City

I think that palace may be priced out of Ince and Sinclair's wages are too high and with Norwich being the favourites to sign Redmond I think Phillips and/or Adomah will sign.

Norwich are said to have made a £1 million bid for Albert adomah

Think redmond is worth more than that, he is still very young and a great prospect

Phillips and adomah are likely however siclair seems a bit loose, he'll be on good wages, perhaps a loan deal

All of them are better then zaha

Zaha is just too greedy and likes the skills a bit to much. Ince uses skill effectively whereas Zaha seems to be just showing off

Norwich are not going to sign Redmond.

I suppose your right about zaha just like they said about renaldo

Really can't compare Zaha to Roanldo haha, that is funny.

Ex hull city player giovanni to join Southend on a 1 year deal once the embargo is finished! This will be great news for shrimpers fans as a great marquee signing to get the club up for the 1st time asking. Southend also to sign basey on a free and Howe and akinfenwa talks still to happen.

Hull city to sign jordan rhodes £8 million plus add ons and kasper schmichael for around 1-2 million

He's currently playing out on 2nd division brazil so he prob would be happy to give it another crack with a decent salary plus coaching job? Howe is prob a definate I heard from my pal who's a Torquay fan and he's on his way to shrimper town!

Good player.

. when its sunny!

Geovanni's not going to move from Brazil to England for a year at Southend and Brownie usually kept him on the bench when we paying him £35k a week.

As Steve Bruce tries to build a premier league squad. Robert Koren will be sold. Most likely to boro to team up with ex boss Tony Mowbray.

Deal that sees forrester to Ipswich reportedly complete, the clubs just haven't agreed a fee yet, dean to sign a new 3 year deal at brentford and Donaldson to stay, adeyemi to sign a permanent deal along with bwp and bidwell and brentford also in final stages of signing McCormack from Swindon on a free

Hope this is true

Forrester flatters to deceive. Never been as good since injury, hogs it too much. Sam Saunders raised his game since Forrester arrived and I would have him if I had a choice.

Donaldson Converts about 1 in 10 shots so they can have him as well. If he could finish we would have been promoted by Xmas!

Adeyemi impressed me this season good to see him next year
bidwell played well at left back would be a good perminant deal
donnaldson is going no where

forrester can move if he wants his talent is limited

Liverpool have inquired about the availability of Callum McManaman and Shaun Maloney. Dave Whelan has told them to come back when the manager is installed.

Tranmere on on the verge of re-signing Enoch Showumni. He was released by Ronnie Moore last year as he was on too much money but he lowered his wage demands.

02 Jun 2013 18:23:29
Oh please let this be true!

That would demand a fee he has still got a year left on his contract

Dont want him back at Tranmere

Please pease please say your joking

O no. We don't want the laziest centre fiorward in League 1. Hwe didn't make Notts County side. He is not worth a penny never mind the fee he is asking. Go away Showumni

He was released by Notts (o) Good County at the end of the Season.
He was obviously as bad there as he was at Prenton Park.

Don't need or want him back, even if he does take a wage cut!

He is rubbish!

Don't want him back. We've got Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro who is a BEAST!

Rumours coming from Wales that if Cardiff City manage to secure their CB transfer targets this summer they will offer 1 of Mathew Connoly or Ben Turner who will be surplus to requirements for the premier league to championship side Derby County in a part exchange for right back John Brayford.

Brayford has been a long term target for the right back position and it seems the Derby are looking for a quality Centre Half to help with their promotion push.

As I said this is just rumours and could potentially have been a false lead but this could potentially benefit both clubs needs. In terms of numbers and fees there is 100% no way to tell this early on but I can make a guess that Brayford will be the more valuable player and Derby are renowned for being releuctant to let of go of any of their new crop of young takent so it could be Cardiff paying some amount plus the player to Derby. Has anyone else heard this yet?

I would believe it if Connolly was involved but not Turner he 's worth
more than Brayford

Agree turner has been brilliant again this year. So he won't be leaving!

Not likely Ben Turner, will surely be part of the gaffers plans this season. While I believe Brayford would be a [fairly] good singing, I can't see it happening

02 Jun 2013 14:54:29
As Steve Bruce tries to build a premier league squad. Robert Koren will be sold. Most likely to boro to team up with ex boss Tony Mowbray.

UTB

Unfortunately this is true, he's too old and not good enough for a promotion aspiring side TYPICAL

02 Jun 2013 22:53:41
You're joking! Very intelligent, class player who will find space and get goals. Hope we (hull) keep him

02 Jun 2013 14:52:21
Hibernian, Motherwell, Bradford City and Sheffield United are battling it out to sign giant 6' 6'' Australian international defender Robert Cornthwaite. The Blackburn-born defender is looking to make the move to the UK.

Richard Garcia is also set to sign for Bradford.
Sheffield United are also in for Jacques Maghoma.

Maghoma has already agreed to join Bradford announced july 1st

02 Jun 2013 14:31:45
News on Albert Adomah - a £1m bid from a Premier League club has been turned down.
Contrary to reports Bristol City have no urgency to sell Adomah.
There are believed to be 3 or 4 Premiership clubs interested plus at least a couple more big clubs in the Championship.
It's probable that Adomah will go in this window, but City will only let him go if their valuation is met.

The Premiership club is Cardiff. It was well documented in the Welsh Press last week

02 Jun 2013 14:26:55
Tottenham are trying to sign asamoah gyan, but wages could be a problem

Really they aren't trying to sign him at all, so the wages thing is pretty irrelevant

02 Jun 2013 14:16:36
New Championship sides Bournemouth and Doncaster Rovers have both held meetings with Australia international and free agent Jason Culina.

As a rovers fan I hope not

There have been some unrealistic posts on here but this has to the worst yet Brett has said himself he wants to prove himself in the championship after the last time. He wouldn't even leave for another championship team let alone league 1

Do you realise that Doncaster and Bournmouth will be in the Championship next season?

Not up with his football. My guess is he's an armchair supporter who doesn't see outside of some club 100s of miles from home

02 Jun 2013 13:57:23
The rumours regarding Mick McCarthy at Ipswich are a load of tosh. Mick recently had meetings with Evans in Dublin and London, and although a couple of issues remain regarding the length of contracts for a couple of older players McCarthy wants to sign, overall Mick is happy with his budget.

I really hope so as mick is best manager we have had in years,

Mick is going nowhere BLUE ARMY COYB

02 Jun 2013 13:48:45
Notts county want to bring jermaine pennant back to meadow lane after his precious spell here a few years back. Pennant set to be released by stoke.

I can assure you that Pennant will be going to the MLS.

About as much chance of us signing Rooney

Wouldn't want him, over rated!

Hasn't he got a criminal record? Can he get a visa then?

Yh he is overrated for the prem but for a league 1 team he would tear that league apart

Can notts please just sign someone anyone please

I reckon he'd do a decent job of smashing up league 1, just need a decent finisher to get on the end of his crosses

He has got a criminal record but the MLS clubs after him are Vancouver and Toronto and should get into Canada also btw Hughes may consider him to be part of his plans yet.

02 Jun 2013 13:47:45
Swansea city interested in Barry banan and also del moral of Sevilla! So now Liverpool are also interested

Haha (Swans fan)

What are you saying - that Liverpool will only show an interest in players Swansea are interested in?

02 Jun 2013 16:01:03
Because we Swansea are better club, we do our homework on players then you and other clubs show interest

It ain't Liverpool really is it, it's that gimp Rodgers prob don't want to learn the mistake he made when swans pass Liverpool in rankings ;)

Its easier for them than having their own scouting network. They just wait to see we are interested in.

Really? It's the media that contantly link Swansea targets to Liverpool because of Rodgers having been your manager. Do really think we would wait to see what Swansea do then just buy on that basis? I suppose you were after Sturridge and Coutinho!

Ha ha, Swansea have to win about 50 more trophies before they surpass Liverpool in the rankings! Keep dreaming.

You don't really need aspas to be honest it's a bit weird how we were linked with him all season says he wants to play at swansea under laudrup! And then Brendan shows up and he's striked a deal!

02 Jun 2013 13:35:41
Following is announcement that he intends to buy an English Club, Napoli President Aurellio De Laurentiis is looking to buy Birmingham City.

He has not yet decided which club he wants to buy, maybe none yet.

02 Jun 2013 17:12:17
I thought he was hoping to buy a football club not a cowboy outfit?

Benfica are contemplating a move to bring Southampton manager Pochettinho in as their new manager.

How old is this news? I was rubbished over a week ago.

Do Try to keep up!

02 Jun 2013 13:27:22
Jernade Meade to Preston North End Jeffrey Monakana (ex team mate) has been talking to Meade about Preston and the direction of the club is going as there has been a bit of interest from championship teams in David Buchanan and they see him as a good player to back up Scott Laird.

He wants first team, not to be back-up to anyone (Meade). I bet he gets a first team opportunity at a bottom-half championship club. Perhaps Barnsley/Yeovil/Doncaster.

Meade is a left winger isn't he? Can't see it happening if he wants to play his preferred position.

Any realistic transfer news re a striker ort a creative midfielder

02 Jun 2013 12:50:28
Defender simon spender, who plays in the league of wales, is attracting interest from the championship and league one, with derby, millwall and sheffield united amongst those interested {Ed029's Note - That's quite a leap for a 27 year old not deemed good enough when at Wrexham.

02 Jun 2013 12:50:08
Jon Walters is set to leave Stoke for £4 million with Celtic, Crystal Palace, Cardiff and Hull all interested in the Stoke Striker

Celtic are not intersted, he's not worth 4m either
dhman

02 Jun 2013 18:49:18
6 million +

Your right he's worth about 6mil

02 Jun 2013 23:04:17
Didn't realise the Premier League was so amazing that strikers now cost approximately £1m per goal!. Please not Hull. we've got plenty of non-goalscoring forwards thanks

Walters got around 12 goals so you would be paying 500k per goal

£428, 571 if you count own goals

Walters has been playing in a wide position most of the season anyway and 12 goals from a wide position is one of the best in Premier League.

02 Jun 2013 12:46:28
Steven N'Zonzi has been told that he can leave Stoke for Nothing Less than £12million. However Arsenal are ready to sign the young frenchman and meet the £12 million Valuation

Hughes says he is part of his long term plan at Stoke and wants to keep him if he can but if he wants to go then he will have to let him go apparently only two prem clubs I think West ham and Norwich have contacted his representatives.

From the Mirror
"Pieters is a fiery character. When he made his comeback for PSV Eindhoven in January, he received a red card after only 20 minutes. "
excellent fit, rugby to continue next season

I watched him at Stoke last season and if Stoke can get 12 million for him they should grab it! He is a good player, but not a great one and is never worth anything like £12 million.

02 Jun 2013 12:48:19
Erik Pieters is on the verge of Signing for Stoke City for £5 million

More like Blue Peter!

I believe its 4mil and its not on the verge at all Hughes wants to sign him

02 Jun 2013 12:41:39
Ryan Lowe almost certain to return to the north with Bury as the striker has indicated he wants to leave

02 Jun 2013 13:18:13
Wolves and Walsall ready to do battle for Simon Church. Early reports suggest the saddlers are currently in pole position. With Patterson signing for Huddersfield the wages for church are not a problem for the ambitious L1 outfit.

Well done walsall, let's show the other clubs we do have the money and clout to worry some of the so called bigger clubs. Up the saddlers, championship here we come

02 Jun 2013 16:05:36
"well done walsall". this is a rumour without a shred of truth behind it. He`ll go to a c`ship side. He`s a full international for heavens sake.

At Walsall no money- transfer, wages or otherwise is ever reinvested in the club. Unfortunately until they open up more money to the manager for wages and Walsall will not compete with the likes of Wolves.

He's a full international for heavens sake lol Walsall have four full internationals in their side, your point is?

Church is absolutely dreadful! Wouldn't get in Wooldale side!

Not sure what is going on with Walsall, they appear to be the next Man City according to the posts on this site. The truth is you have one half decent player who no one had ever heard of until larger clubs have shown interest in him. Listening to what I have read I should put £20 on you winning the title next year, however I think there is more chance of me being the next Pope.

03 Jun 2013 09:58:04
I'm sorry but walsall announced a profit of 10k last year so yh how many other teams announced a profit? you see teams who are 600 mill in debt we are a steady team with good finances we don't need 2 buy the league people who cum to us are gna be at a well run club we don't need 2 spend 100s of 1000s of pounds on players we develop our team and we have more than 1 decent player mate paterson, brandy, grigg the chambers twins butler all good league 1 players and if we were so poor how did we only just miss out on the play offs considerin we were in a relegation fight the last 2 years apart from the 13 game winless run we did fantastic we didn't panic and buy every1 like most teams because half the time it never works out so please think twice b4 you critisize a team who does that good with out spendin money

Wooldale side? Jesus is he that bad! Must be gash

Church was on loan at Huddersfield last year and was terrible, might be an international but wouldn't go near him!

Apart from a 13 game winless run? More than a quarter of the season!
Great shout on Wooldale, we'll take anyone at who's got two legs to stand on and they'll make starting 11

He is a full international. with Wales! Roger freestone was a full Welsh international when he was at Wrexam. Wales are not very good.

03 Jun 2013 14:27:26
Well I stand corrected, £10k profit will surely build a side to challenge at any level. You finished just in the top half of the third tear of English football and if you read my earlier post correctly I said 1 half decent player, if you had any decent players your yearly profit would pay them 1 weeks wages. The situation you have described at Walsall confirms why you are a lower league club and will remain so.

04 Jun 2013 11:55:04
im sorry and who do you follow? big deal if we are in league 1 portsmouth where in the prem league a few years back as were wolves and look where they've ended up now it reli annoys me when people rip on a hard working team who develops young talent and doesn't spend money what about mk dons and sheff utd who spend money and still stay in this league then you got the championship team who still av premiership players and they don't go up straight away even though they spend how much it took cardiff 3 years to reach the premiership and they needed craig bellamy heider helguson and the other signins watford got took over and missed out so criticising a team who doesn't need the big name signings to buy the league and I hope walsall do go up next season because every1 will eat there hats itll just prove that you don't need money to be successful!

Can I apologise for the posts from the "Walsall" fan above.

I support Walsall and watching the penny's will continue to be the order of the day. If us or Wolves want a player or Church's reputation then they'll get him.

That 10k profit is guaranteed to fund an assault on Man Utd's dominance, especially with Fergie out of the way. I am going to start supporting Walsall now. they sound ace! And, they play at the Biscuit Stadium. so something nice to go with the halftime cuppa.

You are getting very wound up and not accepting the facts that you yourself have posted. The simple truth is that if you are saying that Walsalls policy is to balance the books then that is great, however this will only ever give you at best league 1 survival and lower the risk of financial ruin.
As you asked I am a Huddersfield Town fan so we know all about this, we had to spend money to get into the championship and a good few years of doing so to achieve our goal.
In the l the early 2000's the club spent a lot of money in a bid to get into the premiership investing in some high profile players, Dean Gorre, Clyde Wiynhard, Scott Sellers, Marcus Stewart to name a few. Despite coming close we failed and then subsequently fell through all three divisions and into administration.
Since then it has been a steady process and many years of careful investment to get back to the second tear. However the key word here is INVESTMENT. We have spent money but been careful how we have spent it. Much of it has gone into the infrastructure of the club, building the state of the art Canalside Training development which is one of the best in the country. This has allowed us to develop players from the academy and investing in promising young players to develop and become appreciating assets to secure the clubs future both on the pitch and financially, eg Anthony Pilkington and Jordan Rhodes (£7.5million profit) both bought early in the careers and sold for a substantial profit. This is why we are perusing Jamie Patterson as he fits into this buying policy.
So the point is, and the one you are not grasping, that Walsall cannot expect or achieve success in the policy they have in place, you have to spend money but invest in the right areas to add value to your playing squad in order achieve success and financial security. Take it from a club who knows and has learnt the hard way!! {Ed003's Note -good post mate,but it doesn't have to take money,look at what Yeovil have acheived and B'pool a few years back but I do agree those that invest have a better chance of success.}

Church is absolutely appalling

02 Jun 2013 13:07:31
Any decent west brom news? Clearly the luke moore & grant holt rumours are made up by a clown!

Sorry champ 99% going to the hammers

Dont want either of them anyway thanks

02 Jun 2013 13:03:31
New Stoke boss Mark Hughes wants to raid former clubs for players, I have heard that he is ready to raid Blackburn for Morten-Gamst Pedersen, then he will try his luck to try and secure a season long loan deal for Bryan Ruiz and also he will ask Chelsea if they are willing to loan out Lukaku and sell Marin.

Hughes also wants Manchester city midfielder Gareth Barry, QPR striker/midfielder Adel Taraabt and also Erik Pieters from PSV could be his first signing.

Marin we could get for about 4 million he's played about 1 time for chelsea and would be good with us

Bryan ruiz would never go to stoke, he prefers playing football over rugby

02 Jun 2013 15:19:45
Ruiz would be a good signal of a significant change of style

Im sorry is it Stoke City FOOTBALL club or Stoke City Rugby club?

Well I hope he comes back to Qpr and takes Park, Bosingwa and Granero of our hands!

Ruiz, taraabt, marin and lukaku no chance as they all want european football and taraabt and marin would cost 20 million

Stoke will not sign Taarabt he's 1 of the main reasons Hughes lost the QPR job. Hughes struggled to deal with Adel as has Redknapp infact only Warnock has managed to get the best out of him

The Stoke rugby jokes get funnier and funnier, not like anybody has heard them before

Stoke clearly don't play rugby we are just stronger than other teams and other teams don't like it. What Stoke do wouldn't be frowned upon in the lower leagues at all. And don't make any rugby jokes because we only played the 11th most long balls this season.

All you GLORY HUNTERS. rugby jokes really! keep up guys

Stoke are clearly not a rugby team, we just have players that are actually men and not little girls who fall over when Huth or Shawcross get too close.

02 Jun 2013 12:58:15
Leyton Orient in talks with Jernade Meade recently released by Arsenal

Sounds about right. With our poor budget We won't be signing any quality players for money, that's for sure, but maybe Slade will find a diamond youngster from a Premier Club ''cast offs. '' That is the only chance clubs like Orient have.

He would be a great signing for us, but after playing in the Champions League and not doing too badly, he will not come to us.

I'm sure there will be a few higher clubs interested in Meade, but there is a good chance he may choose Orient, If, and its a big if, we can agree a financial deal. He must have been on decent money at Arsenal.
At the end of the day, players like Meade would get regular games at Orient, and always be in the ' shop window ' in London.

02 Jun 2013 12:51:28
Stoke may sign Jonjo Shelvey from Liverpool for £5 million

With Pulis yes. Not Hughes player

Rumour has it his going to the hammers

Poor player in my eyes worth about 3mil max

02 Jun 2013 12:50:42
Glenn Whelan is set to leave Stoke for £2 million with Cardiff, Hull and Crystal Palace all interested

Cardiff don't need any midfielders, plus he's not good enough. Stokebluebird

Do not want him not good enough

02 Jun 2013 15:21:36
You would need to take a Zero off the price

You wouldn't pay 2mil for an international I wouldn't sell him for less than 4mil

04 Jun 2013 10:17:45
That's why your sat in your house and not an epl manager the player is dreadful just because he is an international means nothing he's still terrible!

Reesy

Whelan is not worth only £200,000, you've clearly never seen him play worth at least £3million.

02 Jun 2013 12:48:55
Mark Hughes is looking to sign Scott Sinclair from Manchester City for £5 million

02 Jun 2013 12:30:31
Bradford have tabled a bid for Swindon trio Paul Benson, Aden Flint and Luke Rooney.

I wish the Benson rumour would go away he's no better than what we have

Nah Clayton Donaldson was the best (IMO) striker we played against last season.

Flint will go to Bristol City.

02 Jun 2013 12:19:47
Rotherham United are interested in signing Vancouver Whitecaps striker Kenny Miller.

I think this is just a joke with it been RUFC and Miller's.
Could be true but I doubt and he's getting in now at 33 years old.

This is possible as they might use the stadium revenue money to pay his wages

02 Jun 2013 12:07:26
Reading looking the big favourites to sign Billy Sharp from Southampton.

£2million rumoured fee and good luck to the lad. Should be an improvement on Pogrebnyak.

Good luck to him and Adkins, both treated very badly at my club. Hope they are both extremely successful but just not as successful as us.

How has sharp been treated unfairly by saints? He's not good enough for the premier league so was loaned out. It's not as if he was left to rot with the kids!

I think you'll find he's got a meeting with
southampton's manager on the 10th of june,
to find out if he's part of his plans, if not he's
heading back to forest.
Also, he was'nt to happy with the way he
was treated by Atkins, and still dos'nt know
why he was disgarded and deemed surplus
to requirment, having set his heart on playing in the premier league, so he wo'nt go to reading.

Billy wasn't treated badly by Southampton, he left on loan after his kid died and wanted to be closer to his and his girlfriends family. Adkins was sacked because he's not up to premiership management and no one truly knows what happened, so there's no way to tell what happened. He was out manager for a season and a half, granted we were promoted twice under him (even though my Nan could have got us promoted twice with the team we had) it's not like he was another sir Alex and got himself sacked after one bad result.

Agree with the good luck bit but, as everyone seems to have different versions of the story, does anyone know how much $ they earned whilst being treated 'very badly'?

I recon about 15 g a week, he's probably keen to play in the prem as it would probably double his wages, I think he desrves a crack at the prem, he's proved he scores for fun in the championship, I think he's as good a poacher if not better than le fondre and he notched up plenty last season

st stuie

"He was out manager for a season and a half, granted we were promoted twice under him (even though my Nan could have got us promoted twice with the team we had)"

Yeah okay I agree your nan could of got us out of one of the notoriously most competitive leagues in Europe where anybody can literally beat anybody. We weren't favourites Leicester were (look how much they spent and they're still there) And 'the team we had' was assembled by Adkins. Have some respect, he deserves a lot of credit for last seasons promotion.

Sharp may well of wanted to be closer to family and inlaws but I feel this could also just be made up or a smokescreen. Any player who makes the Prem for first time in their career at 26/7? wouldn't run away from it, and strange it happened very very late on in the transfer window, very soon after Mayuka had signed. IMO It was Cortese who signed Mayuka and told sharp he was surplus to requirements as he would be 4th or 5th choice striker (even behind Guly as Guly is Cortese's Buddy)

Majority of the team was signed under Pardew. Cork was the only decent player Adkins signed outside of the prem and the team we had was fantastic, anyone could have got us those two promotions (and probably won at least one of the leagues£, the only reason we weren't favourites was because we were an unknown factor having just got promotion. I respect the effort he put in but he was not a fantastic manager and I think everyone will see that now he's managing an average team.

And it was definitely his son dying that made him want to move, nothing, surprisingly not even football (I know, big surprise) is as important as family.

02 Jun 2013 11:51:16
Liverpool have enquired about availability of Christian Benteke

No less than 30m or get lost

As a villan he is crucial to our premier league master plan :) Though if he wants to broaden his career further out then we won't restrict him to do so

He ain't going to broaden his career at Liverpool there hardly setting the world alight are they.

02 Jun 2013 14:46:46
You can, t afford him.

They'll be able to afford him if they sell Suarez. I think £25m would get Benteke.

02 Jun 2013 16:48:42
If he's going to aim high, it should be higher then Liverpool. Atm they can't offer anything more then Aston Villa, with other teams in the running that can.

02 Jun 2013 11:47:36
Marlon Pack set to join Charlton Athletic in the next few days after turning down an offer from Sheffield Wednesday.

Marlon Pack IS joining Gillingham! He has just spent a couple of days in Dubai with Martin Allen and the Gillingham chairman, who lives there!

Going ipswich

Gillingham are in league 1 probably in a relegation scrap next season and then you have Charlton fighting for promotion in the championship. I'm sure his not that much of an person.

Of all the teams interested I reckon charlton is the lead simply because they finished highest last season and expected to fight for promotion next season.

02 Jun 2013 11:38:11
mk dons have signed Patrick bamford (Chelsea youth) on a free transfer!

Not going to happen. Bamford is thought of highly by the Chelsea backroom staff. He could maybe return to MK on loan, but he played really well towards the end of the season and I can see him going to a Championship side next season on loan.

I thought he is on a contract at Chelsea so they wouldn't release him. It's more likely a loan deal as Robbo said last season he was interested

Bamford on a free? Just saw a low flying pig earlier so it must be true.

Patrick Bamford signed a 5 year contract with Chelsea in January 2012 and cost Chelsea £1.5m so he's definitely not coming to MK Dons on a free.

That being said, Karl Robinson has made no secret of the fact he would like him to come back on a season long loan, and Bamford said on 30th May about a possible return; "I really enjoyed my time at MK, so will see what next season holds!"

£1.5 million a year ago. can't see this happening

02 Jun 2013 11:36:28
Peterborough United closing in on Luke Freeman for a fee of £800,000. Despite Freeman only recently being valued over the 1 million mark, Stevenage want to bring in two or three players with the money and will sell at this fair price.

This rumour has been going on for over a year now, getting bored of it TBH. Stevenage would sell him for 800k without a doubt.

Stevenage do not sell to divisional rivals (unless the offer is silly money).

02 Jun 2013 19:34:23
Its already done just waiting for Luke to ratify it when he gets back off holiday as I put on here last Thurs

No chance will never happen

Posh chairman said we wanted him in January, but I can't see any way it would happen now unless Tomlin or Gayle left. We've said we only want to sign Payne unless others leave

Would love to see him at Posh, but I don't think it'll happen.

02 Jun 2013 11:31:49
West Brom interested in Carlos Vela after an impressive season in La Liga.

Vela became a fan favourite at The Hawthorns in a short loan spell a couple of years ago and could be tempted into a move back now the club are an established mid-table side.

02 Jun 2013 14:59:59
What's beast signing he would be. Imagine him and mbokani partnered up front together!

There is no such thing as an established mid table side in the PL. There are 7 clubs fighting for Europe and 13 fighting against relegation.

02 Jun 2013 18:37:50
Vela has bags of talent which he showed when on loan with us but he never looked strong enough for the premiership. We need strikers who can hold the ball up and bring the midfield in to the game. As talented as he is Arsenal let him go for a reason, I can't help but think he doesn't have the physicality to compete in the Premier League.

02 Jun 2013 21:35:55
Yes but he has probably developed into a better player since then

02 Jun 2013 11:23:18
West Brom reject a £4 million offer from Fiorentina for midfielder Youssouf Mulumbu.

It will take at least double the offer for West Brom to even consider letting the midfielder go.

I don't think Fiorentina have made an offer but I agree he's worth way more than 4M. If as rumoured Tiote is worth 10-15M then so is Mulumbu.
Mulumbu an all round better player and main thing Baggies don't need or have to sell.

02 Jun 2013 11:16:03
There is a chance of him moving to rangers and your there feeder club so I would imagine yeese would give them first option surely?

02 Jun 2013 11:15:39
Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis wants to buy English club. Come on Mr De Laurentiis please buy Blackpool, rid us of the Oyston's. #AureliosTangerineArmy

Paper talk is Crystal Palace BUT uk media sources reckon it's Birmingham {Ed029's Note - Sheffield Wednesday also mentioned.

Sounds like a lot of guessing really, clubs that have good infrastructure and a large fan base so that they could challenge in the EPL

02 Jun 2013 11:12:22
Billy Sharp is close to signing for Reading on a three-year deal. Nigel Adkins also wants Danny Fox. The rumoured figure is thought to be £3m for both of them.

Saints wanted a player swap deal with Le Fondre coming the other way but Reading rejected that idea.

SaintsBill.

His family is in Sheffield his girlfriend didn't settle at Southampton they have got a young baby aswell

Almost had us fooled SaintsBill until you added the Le Fondre bit!

Do you mean the guy who was only seen as a sub by Reading?

02 Jun 2013 11:08:14
Luke Moore, on way back to Albion £ 1.5 million along with Grant Holt deal done. and also looking to get kasper schmeichel for £3 million from Leicester.

What a load of BS.
Luke Moore your kidding and Holt - no thanks. We already got 2 International GK's don't need a Championship one.

02 Jun 2013 16:36:11
Albion Rovers I take it are after luke warm?

02 Jun 2013 11:05:27
Matt Tubbs will be a Crawley Player next season. I know him on a personal level and the signing will be announced in the coming weeks.

Thats right, and your aunty is a tea-lady and gets to know all the club news in the canteen.

02 Jun 2013 18:41:08
I am a Crawley fan and I speak for us all we do not want matt tubes he is crap he cannot play at league 1 level we have Clarke who is much better

I am a crawley fan and think your being bit harsh on tubbs he was awesome for us and to be fair not had a chance at Bournemouth because there other strikers have been on form

Speak for your self nearly all Crawley FANS would want Matt Tubb's back he is A LEGEND

Agreed, being injured for most of the season and being 3rd/4th choice doesn't make you a bad striker. Would have him back anyday.

03 Jun 2013 22:32:58
I don't want tubbs back can't play in league 1

If you know tubbs you know he got a four year contract and qaudrupled his wages when he went to Bournemouth. There is no way Crawley can pay that sort of money, why do you believe he will rip up a very good contract and take a big pay cut to go back to Crawley? On the other hand Crawley supporters dream of his return, IT won't HAPPEN.

Its in the crawley paper today! Comming on loan by the looks of it!

You cannot call yourself a Crawley fan and slate tubbs ability, clearly only been a fan since we got into league 2 as if you we're a real fan you would have seen through the years he is a natural goalscorer with incredible ability

Looks like Tubbs is on his way back to crawley just saw it in Crawley news

So true - well stated!

02 Jun 2013 11:04:03
Nick Powell looks set to sign a season long loan to Crawley Town to get some first team experience. {Ed029's Note - That would be a surprise. Surely a Championship loan would make more sense for his development?

Have to agree with Ed029. has to be a mid or top Championship team

I have heard he may be off to Blackburn on loan.

02 Jun 2013 11:03:02
Crawley Town are set to sign Danish goalkeeper Peter Schmuglepoof on loan from FC Kobenhaven.

Making up names

02 Jun 2013 10:53:56
Watford's Lee Hodson to go to Burnley in the Summer for £50,000.

02 Jun 2013 11:43:17
50k! - missing a zero at the very least

02 Jun 2013 12:56:20
You've been playing F Manger too much. £50k about right.

02 Jun 2013 13:42:19
He can't get in the first team so take the money and get him off the wage bill

No way he will go out on loan for another season before leaving why sell him for 50K when he could be a 1million pound player in a few years, he just needs time and games.

02 Jun 2013 14:12:48
Agreed we shouldn't be expecting too much dosh if he does go.

I've always rated lee - has a touch of seamus coleman about him. Shame he's failed to develop quicker. Either way he will have a good career and just needs regular football.

Watford needs to reduce squad size before bringing in players. so this deal makes sense.

Good Luck in the Future Lee. Will follow with interest

Doesn't sound great, primarily a right back who was loaned out to Brentford for the season. Would sit on the bench all season as long as we kep Tripps

The only way lee Hodson will be a million pound player is if he robs a bank of £950,000.

£150,000 + add-ons

With his potential, I'd say over 2mill

He's had enough chances at Watford, made over 80 appearances; time for him to move on and best of luck to him, hope he can go somewhere to become a regular starter in the team

No better than a mid table championship player so its about time he left. Hope he does well where ever he goes

I'd love to see him at the Vic next season but I somehow doubt it

He showed early on that he's a decent player but for whatever reason didn't have the same impact and fizzled out for the last two seasons. I still rate him and hope he can rejuvenate his career.

You guys do realise that Hodson's only 21 don't you? 50,000 is way under his price. At least 300,000 i'd say

50,000 is a bit low. He's probably worth 100,000 to 150,000 max. Good right back, but given he doesn't fit into our system, has been a bit part player for most of the time he's been here, and is likely going to be an understudy to Trippier, makes the low price pretty understandable.

Apparently he's part of zolas plan at Watford. doubt hell go for 50,000 either

02 Jun 2013 10:52:06
Stoke interested in Celtics Wanyama for a fee of 10 million. Arsenal and Newcastle also interested.

Inter Milan lead the chase, Liverpool also interested.
dhman

He's better off staying in Celtic - than go to Stoke and Hughsie. Relegation a cert.

02 Jun 2013 13:29:33
Relegation a cert would you go away the season haven't even started I hope stoke finish finish 12-8 place

02 Jun 2013 18:53:46
4 million tops average player celtic desperate for funds.

4 mill tops and Celtic desperate for founds? You clearly know nothing cause Celtic have no debt and made large amount of money and more to come. Wanyama is the next best thing in football and you need to watch him cause you are missing something special, go look at a game against inter where he single handedly shut them down. 25mill in any other league min

I'd actually say 10mil is about right, surely not 4, and SURELY not 25, unless Liverpool buy him, then yeah, 25. Celtic only need his quality in CL, as the league's not really a contest at the moment. So, regardless of financial stability, I doubt the hoops will turn down anything approaching 8 figures.

02 Jun 2013 10:44:56
chris iwulemo off to Scunthorpe

Done deal.

02 Jun 2013 10:42:09
Alan Lee to Walsall. The saddlers are keen to lure the target man to the Bescot - the pearl of the west midlands. They believe his experience could be vital in their promotion push next season. Wages possibly a stumbling block but Lee prepared to sign for a single season.

02 Jun 2013 10:38:19
Jamie Patterson is attracting interest from Burnley and Wolves

02 Jun 2013 10:28:55
Clayton Donaldson to sign for his hometown club this week with Bradford being his number one choice.

Donaldson going to Bourenmouth I would think.

I doubt this very much. Parkinson called him an 'unsettling influence' and turned down the opportunity to sign him at the start of the 2012/13 season

He will never wear a Bradford shirt just not good enough

02 Jun 2013 09:12:36
Saido Berahino to move from West Brom to Shrewsbury on short term loan with an option for a permanent transfer.

Haha are you on crack?! He was on loan at posh last season and was awesome but got injured. The lad could walk into the championship. Nice try

There's word that Berahino may be part of future West Brom first-team planning, so shall we wait and see?

No chance, we don't don't do youth

If he is to go out on loan then it will be to a championship club.

Beranhino or brown, no chance we will give them both a chance

02 Jun 2013 09:04:35
Huddersfield town looking at signing Portuguese forward Pizzi. Who was on loan at deportivo last season who have been relegated to the second tier of Spanish football.

I'm proud that last seasons town 1st team squad was 100% British, but, I feel we lacked some continental flair at times. When players like Foresteri, Knockhart & Vidra were tearing us a new hole it proved that scouting outside these shores was the way forward & i'm glad we are now looking in Europe. Another Dean Gorre type would do nicely!

Not sure about this but looks quality if it pays off

No chance, too much.

I would have thought a man who has been previously transferred for a fee of 13.5m euros would be out of our price bracket wage wise. Still he put 2 past Barca for the money.

Unproven, might just be a bargain to be had here. Defo one that looks like we could make money on in a year or 2s time.

Correct, dean gorre was the best player in town boots, for a long time

02 Jun 2013 06:22:43
Exeter City are in discussions with Joe Anyinsah about a move to St. James Park next season.

It is expected he will sign by this time next week.

02 Jun 2013 09:48:40
Derby had 1 bid rejected by Dundee Utd for Johnny Russell. They never made a 2nd bid and the £1.2m rumour is rubbish. Dundee Utd seem to be trying to attract as much attention to this story as possible to try and start a bidfing war but the reality is that no other clubs seem to be bothered. (source-derby county media representative)

Going to celtic next week

02 Jun 2013 12:44:25
Celtic not interested

Isnt he on his holly bobs now. Not sure if he has made his mind up as I have never met the fella.

Love him to come to Derby I really would but if he went to Celtic how could we compete. I really respect him for thinking about testing himself in Seria A, as it would move him out of his comfort zone.

Anyway here hoping we do sign him up, as I guess Vaugh was the no 1 choice?

02 Jun 2013 14:50:24
Rubbish Huddersfield want him and bid for him in April.

Celtic are interested, but only if hooper goes will they make a bid.

Huddersfield want James Vaughan I heard?

Lol Huddersfield won't be getting both Vaughan and Russell!

And the bid you're referring to was 1. 25m for BOTH Russell and Mackay-Steven, an offer the chairman branded "a joke". It really, really was.

Yes I though Vaughan was wanted by Huddersfield as well.

They can't be greedy and buy all the strikers. silly HTFC. Actually well done HTFC if they are reinvesting the Rhodes cash back into the team.

Come on your Rams.

Who made the 1. 25m bid for both Russell and Mackay-Steven? and I don't know why derby haven't just made an offer of £1. 25 for Russell and get the deal done and dusted

Huddersfield made that 1. 25m bid. Sorry, I always forget you can't see who's replying to who on here haha!

02 Jun 2013 09:46:16
Barnsley to sign ritchard Dunn and Matthew upson as they are both about to be released

Both said they would drop wages upson is most likely as he just wants to play regular football

Richard Dunn. he must be well in his 60s now lol!

Why would we want to sign 2 34 year olds

Because there better than mc nulty anrd crainey

They are knocking on but would be 2 brilliant signings but in a real world we haven't got the wages to pay them even if they did take a cut and I'm sure there would be a lot better teams with the cash sniffing round them.

Knocking on a bit, that's an understatement. Richard Dunn was all lined up to fight Mohammed Ail in the 70s!

02 Jun 2013 09:34:23
Rumours suggest out off favour Gary madine to brentford as clayton Donaldson, is this true who's going to be his replacement?

Never going to happen

02 Jun 2013 09:32:26
Chesterfieldnot given up on Andy Welsh who is being chased by Bradford, Scunthorpe, Rotherham and Yeovil, wants to stay up north

Glad he would like to stay 'oop north. He's not championship quality.

Steve evans taking blades job

Why would he go to a mid table league 2 club

02 Jun 2013 17:55:47
Why would chesterfield give up on him if he wants to stay up north?

Because he isn't very good anymore thanks to carlise not playing him

The blades are far too classy for someone like evans -

02 Jun 2013 09:17:35
Stevenage set to announce the signing of Bobby Grant from Rochdale on Monday.

I'd rather have Barry Grant.

That will never happen

02 Jun 2013 09:16:18
Hughes is trying to move fast to secure wanyama from Celtic for 10m especially with nzonzi submitting a transfer request. If the deal for wanyama can be agreed then nzonzi will leave if stoke's valuation of 8m is met with big Sam ready to pounce. Hoilett and Remy as I posted yesterday are very high on Stoke's list of targets but Remy has a number of clubs battling it out for his services and Hughes faces a tough task to convince him that Stoke have the right ambition although Remy is keen to stay in England.

Don't wish to be nasty to Stoke fans but your dreaming.
Wanyama - more chance of knitting fog as for any big names - no chance.
Ur football is awful and Hughes is not the right man to change it. It's a relegation scrap for you with a poor and clueless man in charge. Sorry.

Inter & Arsenal are the front runners 12m plus minimum with add ons.
dhman

02 Jun 2013 15:26:42
Remy is on bail until September, when he will appear in court to answer a rape allegation. Big risk to buy him now - he might be inside for the rest of his career if he were to be found guilty.

Don't worry you aren't being nasty because at the moment Stoke are the frontrunners according to Celtic sorry to incorrect you dhman.

If you're a proper football player you'd rather play every game than play about once a month, don't you think. And I heard Remy has a relegation release clause in his contract.

02 Jun 2013 09:13:57
Huddersfield manager mark robins has been to holland looking at German striker Mark Uth from Dutch side SC Heerenveen. Uth started his career at FC Koln in Germany

02 Jun 2013 09:06:25
Stoke City's Outs
Crouch (swap deal with QPR's Holliet)
Pennant All
Whitehead Out
Upon Of
Sidebe Contract
Begovic (£5million + Downing)
Palacios (£3million)

In's
Holliet (Crouch deal)
Downing (Part of Begovic deal +£5million to Stoke)
Huddleston (£3million)
Cavanda (£3.5million)
Onuoha (£2.5million)
Hughes will also like 2 strikers but who not a clue
At least we'll have a look beyond the UK now for a
Young, Fast and natural goal scorer!

Downing won't go. Young?

Begovic won't go Liverpool, and even if he did we wouldn't want Downing in return. Downing+5m would be about 10m. Begovic is worth £15m minimum.

Begovic is worth 20-25mil in my eyes as his contract is not ending, he is happy at Stoke and there is no need to sell him which add to the price

02 Jun 2013 09:06:07
Unconfirmed rumour from my source at the albion Avram Grant will take over from Gus Poyet. CH

02 Jun 2013 09:01:48
Sheffield Wednesdays Chris Ogrady to hand in transfer request to force a move away from hillsborough, Ogradys totally disallusioned at Wednesday, first they want him away at all costs, hence his loan to Barnsley, and when Barnsley offer to take him off there hands, they start quoting ridiculous amounts!!

Typically dee dars, we don't want him but you can't have him, you're a joke

He is wednesday player so we can ask for as much as we want get over it

02 Jun 2013 14:38:08
Barnsley are joke offer 50,000 now and 50,000 end of season if stay up insult to o Grady and and swfc that's why he's not for sale dave jones fed up with all the talk and no action?

Well if you offer a decent amount for him then we wouldn't turn it down! Simple as that

02 Jun 2013 17:03:46
Have barnsley got 50 grand lol

350k is not a ridiculous amount at all. Barnsley are trying to get him on the cheap and we aren't having it.

They will be begging Barnsley to take him off there hands before the season starts as he will not figure in jones plan for next season

DJ already says he dosent want him and o grady himself is unsetteled he never gets a game there and you lot were sayin he's crap before you loaned him to us

Sheff wed joke club, think they're bigger then what they are

Doesn't want to be there. Offer pittance. Test the water then go in marginally above first offer. Sounds like good business to me!

Barnsley offered 400k for O'Grady, fact is Wednesday won't sell to strengthen a rival team.

The mighty Tuesday don't sell, it's so funny

Yes we have got 50k, and we've also got a Barnsley fan that owns the club, HAVE YOU!!

Haha as if you offered 400k, you offered 50k now and 50k if you stay up, because you paid 100k last season to loan him your board said we should take that into account! Got no chance, Bournemouth will be putting a bid in the next couple if weeks which will be a lot better

Player will turn it down wait till jan youll get 50k tops then

We will just get him on a free next season no worries

Makes me laugh, Wednesday giving it big over who has what finance wise. Got 18 mil debt written off by the coop and an owner who just buys and sells clubs for a profit, think he might have made a mistake this time though. i'm sure Barnsley will eventually offer more for COG, he's a good player and seemed to enjoy his loan spell at Oakwell however there are other options out there and I doubt the new regime at Oakwell, Flitcroft and the new chairman will pay over the odds. Dave Jones and Wednesday could have dropped the biggest boll0 (k ever if some results had gone the other way and COG had kept Barnsley up at Wednesdays expense so I expect a bit of hard bargaining from them now. UTR

Why would Wednesday want a Barnsley fan to own the club?

I think it would be quite obvious to anyone with half a brain cell that the poster is asking if you have a Wednesday fan who owns the club in the same way that Barnsley have a owner/fan.

I find it ridiculous that wendys are trying to get over odds on a player who they don't want and wants to move. I've heard Dee Dars saying 500 k is a good price for a proven championship striker. proven?he had half a season with us where flitcroft developed him to play to his strengths flicker did for the lad what Jones couldnt. now they are hard bargaining for a player we developed
and who's out of contract soon, pathetic

Fair enough, I just got a bit confussed about the Chairman thing.

Bansley developed COG, what are you smoking, you had him for half a season and he did what all Wednesday fans knew he could do. As for trying to get top money for a player we don't want, well that's just football.

Russell going to derby

Busy time for your club. Where did you get all this information or are you dreaming?

I don't think you have a chance with any

Forest are signing Simeon Jackson, Gary Mackay-Steven and maybe Max Clayton, they're also after Johnny Russell too.

I think you will find Posh's chairman says he won't let Tomlin go for less than £5 million

Its a transfer target list, expect 4 to 5 signings and 2 loans.

Since when do Huddersfield have mega money?

02 Jun 2013 12:53:08
Hudds have had mega money for the last 3 years.

Hardly unrealistic targets for any c`ship club particularly one with rich chairman.

02 Jun 2013 13:15:13
Not that easy to spend big money in L1. Better players won't join you. Town payed a million for ward and similar for rhodes and others while in L 1. Hoyle will back robins to the hilt in transfer market providing it`s for young players that the club feel they can add value to.

I can see 2/3 of these hapoening-town fan

Nahki Wells is not leaving for that sort of money-I've had confirmed by a very reliable source he's had an offer for 1.8 million which he had turned down by the club.

I see town spending 3 or 4 million on young talent easy recoup that money on the right players.

Obviously we are not buying them all, They are just targets.

02 Jun 2013 14:16:36
Haha think patterson vaughan and jackson and maybe the lad from charlton might happen but we need to start makin tracks soon on all targets or going to be left wantin once again. got no front line wots so ever and need creative midfielder to find vaughan more often could be patterson and stephens with clayton and scans aswell. With jackson uptop with his mate
True terrier

02 Jun 2013 14:19:53
Would love to see mackay stevens at town but sadly we missed our chance when he was there for the takin. Sounds familiar doesn't it
True terrier

When did Huddersfield get rich? Dream on!

So when are hudds announcing this new oil baron?

Russell is in talks with leeds and derby and mills is on his way to leeds.

There's about 10 strikers there you dick and where is all this money coming from.

I don't think Huddersfield or Leeds could afford Matt Mills tbh ed?

As a Town fan I'd LOVE this lot to be true! Don't see it though!

I think we have more financial clout than people give us credit, but not as much as suggested here.

We have no forwards at the club (literally), so expect some serious movement there.

Out management & scouts are combing Europe, so I imagine some none UK based players could be heading in.

I'd like (though not sure it's realistic) Vaughn, the 2 lads from Dundee Utd a ball winner in midfield who can dictate the game and a new centreback to pair with Peter Clark.

Will I get that lot. I doubt it!

Since Deano the millionaire fan became chairman

Some of you seem to be having trouble coming to terms with the fact these are TARGETS, they're not saying Hudds will sign all of them. I can see Vaughan, Paterson, Stephen happenings and outside chance with Jackson. Plus Johnny Russell has just gone on holiday so he won't be in talks with anyone until he gets back

02 Jun 2013 17:16:50
Hudds have an owner most clubs could only dream of.

02 Jun 2013 17:18:56
Hoyle has put around 20 million into the club so far. I`d say that constitutes a rich owner.

Max Clayton will only leave Crewe for a premiership club & double the money

Its a list of targets, not signings. Wish people would engage their brains sometimes!

Two words- dream on

Transfer targets not going sign all of them but most teams only manage to sign I think the stat is just under 20% OF those targets per season all of the above players are realistic targets for the size of htafc

£300,000 for Danny Green? Where would you like us to deliver him to for you?

What division will our second, third and fourth teams be playing in?

I like the comment saying 'I don't think you have a chance with any', well erm, we've already signed Carroll so yeah

As a Leeds fan I agree in the sense that Hudds have a chairman that'd make many clubs envious, even me.

But as a list of targets for a team who barely scraped staying in the division despite spending abit of a fortune last season (behind the scene expenses no one really see's), I don't see Hudds being an attractive option for many on this list as a few have Premier league asparations, so expect teams higher up the division to snap up most of these.

"Hudds have had mega money for last 3 yrs"!

Er no they haven't, chairman is well off but club makes losses as turnover is so small. chairman's money not hudds ie Rhodes transfer fee gone into his wallet.

Agree with the Leeds fan, most of them who have prem experience already apart from Vaughan will likely be looking to return to prem football ASAP. While the younger lower league players may see town as a stepping stone like Paterson for instance. Would be happy with Vaughan, Paterson & Stephens from that list

To the Leeds fan who said Town barely scraped staying in the division. Leeds had 3 more points and you all harp on about being a massive club!

Steve Evans is set to become manger of Sheffield United

Wouldn't be at all surprised, the mans a mercenary. with issues

Why would evans leave a club on the up to a team on the down? Sheffield utd have no money and evans will have a better transfer budget at the millers.

Morgan will be new sheff Utd manager

Ipswich have agreed a fee of £500k (which could rise to £750k) with Wolves for Richard Stearman. Wages are very close to being agreed after Wolves came to an agreement with Stearman over the remaining time on his contract with Ipswich paying in the region of £8k a week. No other teams got as far as agreeing a fee, although there was interest.

Reports from Wolves is they are keen to unload the defender to make way for better players,

I've heard that a deal is close too but he will be earning double the wages you have quoted

02 Jun 2013 11:20:35
ouch, do I detect a little sarky anomosity

Paul Bodin and Don Rodgers set to come out of retirement and play for Swindon again

LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL

Yep, just like Kevin Brock and Roy Burton set to come out of retirement for Oxford Utd ;)

LMFAO!

Raffa de vita set to sign for Oxford united, the free agent has just finished a two year contract with Swindon town

Still remember him missing that open goal at the County Ground in front of the Oxford fans. Great day!

Considering he's a left winger, and we've said what positions we're signings. A winger not being one of them! This is not true at all. And thank god! Not good enough.

Played 30 odd games for Swindon this season, must have something going for him otherwise how would he get games in a top league 1 side?

Rafa is a good squad player but not good enough to hold down a regular first team spot at League 1 level.

How many of them 30 appearances were as a sub?
He's a left winger. We have Rigg and o'dowd as left wingers now. So we don't need him.

02 Jun 2013 01:38:21
He's going to wolves

Exactly.

6ft 9 Cb Aaron Oakley of Swindon is attracting attention from championship sides Derby, Leeds and Watford, and interest from EPL sides, Sunderland, Stoke City and Arsenal

the lad is only 18 and believed to have a huge carear ahead of him

Well, if not a huge one certainly a tall one.

We're not interested whether his carer is of similar size to him or not.

He's 6 ft 6

6 ft 6 I think you'll find

02 Jun 2013 12:48:20
it's assumed he will grow 3inches before july 1st

It would be hilarious as Holloway has been bi*****g all season about our loans

Southampton are set to raid Pochettino's former club Espanyol for Defender Juan Forlin. Potential £4-5m fee.

Also interested in Verdu, but unlikely to complete the signing.

Not much of a raid

Why won't Wolves be in division 1 long?
Is it that certain they will be relegated again? {Ed029's Note - Leeds, Sheff Weds and Sheff Utd all expected a short stay as well.. It's a tough league to get out of.

Thought he was out of contract

Espanyol is not a likely place for Southampton to raid given the ambition is European football and Espanyol are not even close to achieving it in Spain where the league is not as tough in depth. Southampton would need to be raiding Valencia, Malaga and Real Betis. The clubs just falling short in Spain for their top players to be in with a hope in England.

Poor logic. As if benteke wouldn't benefit saints, a player that also wasn't challenging for Europe this year. Poor league position doesn't mean their players wouldn't improve us

Wolves are looking sign simon church the forward is free agent after leaving reading kJ is big fan tried sign him for millwall but couldn't agree wages the only problem is church doesn't really want drop down to division 1 but believes wolves won't be in division long and good chance get his scoring boots back on before wolves can sign him few players will have move on

Bradford City are going to assess whether Luke Oliver will ever return to full fitness. If he doesn't, Bradford City will look to bring Sam Magri from QPR in on loan with the option of a permanent deal.

Couldn't be more wrong. Oliver has had one injury and is already on the road back to fitness, and recently stated he couldn't wait for the season to start and wanted to help the club progress further. Even if he would leave, the club would simply make extra effort to keep Andrew Davies, and look for one young defender- probably a full back, as with Oliver we have 5 first choice centre halves.

Simeon Jackson in talks with Middlesbrough

Rubbish

I gather that talks have stalled. He is wanting more than middlesbrough are willing to offer. He's very keen on a move to the riverside, but mowbray is waiting on news of another big signing. Javier acuna was spotted on teesside apparently, as was Ebanks-blake. guess we'll see soon enough. Boro have received 2 bids for marvin emnes however.

02 Jun 2013 20:53:56
Who were the bids off

Boro won't sign Javier Acuna. He is set to join Crystal Palace

Forget simeon jackson. the only striker we would want from norwich is grant holt.

Swap emnes for wheater fact
Utb

Any Norwich player is good enough to play for us I'm not too picky at the mo lol

Not a transfer rumour, but a takeover rumour. Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis has expressed an interest at following Udinese's 'feeder club' plan with Watford by purchasing a club from England. He has looked at a couple of clubs; the most likely destination being Sheffield Wednesday. Millwall have also been mentioned, but Wednesday is the popular choice due to them not having to work on the stadium & training facilities, which makes them the overwhelming choice. Watch this space!

According to the press the favourites are Crystal Palace.

If he does buy Palace I wonder what Hollowhead's reaction will be to the loanees they will get.

Not Millwall I read on news now it was leeds and everton

Haha imagine holloway losing his job to that situation, I think he would explode

The den is way superior to hillsbrough in terms of facilities what makes you think that they would have to work to the den and not hillsbrough

(From a boro fan so not biased in any way)

Watford are not a feeder club for Udinese but okay

02 Jun 2013 12:49:09
You can't have more than 2 loans from Napoli as that loop hole is now closed. Palace faves if Parish and co sell.

Can't see Millwall being taken over as I don't think JB would sell. But it is by far a better buy than Sheffield Wednesday as there is millions being spent on the redevelopment of the bermondsey area which includes doing up the den to a 25000 seater stadium and a new train station. It's going to make JB a mint which is why he bought into us over Leeds and Liverpool in the first place.

It was leeds and Wednesday. However if the owner was prepared to take on debts and develop a poor stadium than he would go to Everton. Milwall was never mentioned. He wants a club with a large fan base that's why those clubs were mentioned

How is the den superior to hillsborough. The den is small, ugly and just awful despite the fact it's relatively new. Hillsborough is big, slightly run down but still much better

No debts at wednesday so they would be the best bet for me

02 Jun 2013 18:57:59
I broke this story on twitter. Crystal Palace are 1st choice.

Birmingham is the most likely club that will be brought though.

Small and ugly? Wednesdays ground is old and run down. Yes it may be bigger but that's about it. The Den has been used many times in tv adverts and has one of the best atmospheres in the country! Fact.

Why would they get a 25000 seated when their average is 8000

Palace is 1st choice if not them it will be Birmingham

Please be Palace, can't wait to see Holloway's reaction.

How could a stadium which on average gets 8000 a week spread out the stadium even try and create an atmosphere.
Milwall are no longer this team with loud fans, a fighting firm and a hard team
Milwall are now a team with no fans, fans who fight themselves and a laughable team

We averaged around 12000 not 8000 and we don't need a 25000 seater stadium at the moment but its all part of the redevelopment plan and the chairmans vision for one day getting into the prem.

I doubt Holloway would care, seeing as Palace are in the Premier League and the supposedly brilliant new Watford team are having to go at it again. Which admittedly I was surprised Dull City beat you to

He wants to bring his old manager, Edy Reja, to whichever club he takes over, so I hope it's Palace just so Hollowhead is sacked. It would do nothing to improve his opinion of foreign owners with more than one club.

Don't have loud fans? Have you even been to The Den? I'm guessing not. {Ed034's Note - I have and I agree, you don't

Why is there an argument about fan loudness on a takeover rumour?

01 Jun 2013 23:33:26
Andy Welsh set to sign for Bradford has been in talks with Scunthorpe, chesterfield and Rotherham reporter told me this

It's funny how all rotherhams 'targets' are for chesterfield players

It's not funny at all - surely we want quality - not 2nd division players!

Exactly so why is every Rotherham rumour about a chesterfield player? sure you want to be us!

01 Jun 2013 23:13:52
Oldham set to announce signing of former defender fitz hall on Monday on a one year deal as a player and coach role.

Sounds good to me steady at the back some experience not had much since greegan

Would love this to be true! Gaffers

Can't see him moving down leagues when he can still play at a higher level

01 Jun 2013 23:03:18
Don't know who or what he is but Jon Robertson from spl will sign for peterborough in coming week or so {Ed003's Note - I'd hazard a guess he is a footballer.}

Cowdenbeath midfielder. Kind of player we have signed in the past

01 Jun 2013 23:03:45
Former Coventry forward Stephen Elliott is in talks with league one side Walsall

Walsall are set to try to sign Elliot to give the saddlers other options upfront due to walsall only having one striker Will Grigg currently at the club
The saddlers released their other strikers at the end of last season (George Bowerman and Aaron Williams)

Elliot scored 4 in 18 last season for City

And what about Craig Westcarr?

01 Jun 2013 22:59:59
Dj Campbell to bournemouth watch this space!

Bournemouth have been linked with over 50 players since end of season only maximum of 10 to be signed according to Eddie Mitchell can't see Campbell coming to Bournemouth rather have Peter Crouch who is signing

Maximum of 10?! Think there will be 2 maybe 3 maximum. There will be about 10 going out though

02 Jun 2013 21:12:52
this is the first genuine player to be linked by the local press and an inside source he is signing!

02 Jun 2013 23:31:55
Local press read it on social media like the rest of us

Rednapp at QPR so yes there's always the possibility.

Local press just have a stab in the dark. Haven't got a clue
