Partick Thistle are in talks with ex-Livingston duo Anthony Andreu and Jesus Garcia Tena.

03 Jun 2013 22:53:38
Johnny Rusell is not on holiday, I know his family very well and is a massive fan of his. He hasn't spoke of anything about any new contracts and transfer requests, however, he states that Derby County will make an offer with a fee around 900k with no add ons

Johnny Russell, a Dundee Utd player has told you that he knows that Derby are going to offer 900k for him? I'm sorry but WHAT? Have you lost the plot a bit?

It's in the Scottish (Local Dundee paper?). I have poo poo'ed the rumours about him signing today, and it is only the clubs agreeing a fee, and he still has to want to come here.

Look at any DCFC message board.

However I am big enought to admit the poster in fact could have been ITK. so if he signs humble Ram pie from me :)

03 Jun 2013 22:42:05
Bhasera will reject the contract offered too him by Plymouth Argyle and opt for a move to rivals Bristol City.

Load of rubbish, it's the other way. he is agreeing a contract

Bhasera has not spoken to bcfc yet but he is waiting for an improved contract offer from plymouth.

It is 50/50 whether he signs the contract, but he is going to walsall/tranmere if he does not sign it

03 Jun 2013 21:35:20
Huddersfield town set to sign Spanish striker Benjamn Martnez Martnez (benja) from Girona.

Really hope this is true and something comes of it, he oozes pedigr. ee

February he suffered a Cruciate Ligament Rupture and at the earliest will be available sometime in July - take thew truth of the interest posted on here like the rest - witrh a pinch of salt - but he has potential to be a good signing for a championship side as Benja

Swansea City latest rumours:

IN:
Barry Bannan
Diego Capel
Arouna Kone
Jose Canas - done deal
Michael Mancienne

Don't want bannan, load of s***

Hopefully sort out Kone for 5mil

Mancienne was tipped highly rated when he was with Chelsea

Havnt seen the other 2 hope they are diamonds in the tough again

Arsenal after michu you can have him pay 20 mill then I think not

Hi, I'm interested in how much they would each cost and how much Swansea can spend this season, thanks

Only Canas is a real taget here

I have heard a lot of praises abt Bannan and he is still young. He might not please a lot of people but out of interest I watched two of his games. Not outstanding but he fits well in the collective passing ideology of Swansea. I think he might improve a lot under Laudrup

Denilson wants to stay in Brazil

03 Jun 2013 22:31:15
stephen mcphail to join owls soon

03 Jun 2013 22:27:02
The signing of Celtic striker Daryl Murphy has been completed. He will be announced with McGoldrick and will both join Nouble and Marriott at Portman Road after both spending loan spells at the club.
However Ipswich are attempting to sign one more striker in the summer Simeon Jackson looking the most likely.

Paul taylor coming back from injury aswell

03 Jun 2013 22:03:06
Leon Barnett to leave Norwich for Cardiff and Norwich are hoping to complete the signing of Diego Capel from sporting for £4 million in the coming days

4m! yeh right ok

Capel is more like 8m and more likely a Spurs target when Bale goes to Spain.

Not with the financial state Sporting are in. Swansea were reported to be interested with a fee of around £4.5m so not totally out of the question for a bid around that mark.

03 Jun 2013 22:21:53
Morecambe's Chris McCready could be on his way to League 1 side Shrewsbury Town in the coming days

Very unlikely that McCready would be able to step up to League 1 at this stage of his career.

McCready is in talks with the town

Depends on where he lives and the wages on offer.

No disrespect to him but I would hope that the Shrews are looking to better players than a league 2 journeyman.

03 Jun 2013 22:09:19
David bentley will sign for palace within the next 48hrs!

Please god nooooooooooooooooooo

03 Jun 2013 22:05:03
Crewe have a bid rejected by Lincoln for Vadaine Oliver. {Ed003's Note - he is out of contract at the end of the month from what I can find}

A 15k compensation fee was offered. Lincoln holding out for 20k.

03 Jun 2013 21:49:39
West Bromwich Albion are set to offer fiorentina 1.5m for striker Mounir El Hamdaoui after a tough spell at the Italian club. Steve Clark is thought to believe that he is capable of rediscovering a prolific goal scoring touch just like he did at Ajax. Also the deal regarding Mbokani is done but both parties have agreed to stay quiet until the 1st of July.

Nice also heard Maloney could be in his way to us aswell.

03 Jun 2013 21:49:42
Torquay's Rene Howe in talks with Carlisle.

That would make sense as he just bought a house in carlisle

Oxford United

Howe signed a two-year contract with Oxford United on 3 June 2013, after manager Chris Wilder had been scouting him for months.

Don't know much about him, any good?

How do you know he bought a house in carlisle?

Wiki can not be used as evidence, can be edited by anybody, and his page now reads that he has signed for Carlisle. Great player for Torquay over last two years, with some awful service. Sometimes attitude can be a problem, is easily wound up and was booked more than any other FL player last season.

Booked, but not sent off. Looks a good bet.

03 Jun 2013 21:35:38
Scott flimders jay emmanuel thomas and el hadji diouf are all set to sign for bristol city soon

You seriously think that Bristol city will sign diouf? he's not leaving leeds especially for league 1. neither will Emmanuel Thomas.

I don't think Bristol City would what Diouf even if he was likely to come. which he is not.

Dont want DIOUF at Ashton Gate! BCFC ONE TEAM IN BRISTOL

Diouf? No thanks, we don't want him. Liability

Um just thought i'd mention he was in cabot circus today, sorry city fans

I was in Cabot Circus yesterday! does that mean i'm going to join Bristol City? he will not be joining City I guarantee it ONE TEAM IN BRISTOL! BCFC!

03 Jun 2013 21:21:03
The pozzos are ready to dip their hand into their pockets dishing out £1.5 million to bring Chelsea youngster Nathan Ake and Arsenal starlet Hector Bellerin both clubs recieving £750,000 each which then can rise to £1 million for each player depending on appearances.

Which Pozzo club would get their services?

04 Jun 2013 07:36:45
It would be nice to sign a few promising players instead of more loans

Would 10x that much for Ake.

Bellerin is one of our best players in the academy, which ever club your talking about do not stand a chance

03 Jun 2013 21:17:07
Leeds United manager Brian McDermott has been given permission to speak to Sheffield United youngster Jordan Chapell.

He's crap. Whitehouse and Mcfadzean are far better young players

04 Jun 2013 19:49:52
he is our worst youth player. You can have him for free. Joe Ironside and Diego De Girolamo are far better attacking players!

03 Jun 2013 21:13:37
Brentford are wanting to sign six players in the summer, including permanent deals for Jake Bidwel, Bradley Wright-Phillips and Tom Adeyemi.
Manager Uwe Rosler is also keen on adding two attackers and a winger.
The winger is thought to be Barnsley youngster Toni Silva. The Portuguese player has been made available for a loan deal away from Oakwell and could move to London on a deal until January.
One of the two forwards is thought to be free agent Heidar Helguson. The experienced Icelandic has bags of experience in England, most notably with Watford and QPR. The 35 year old was released by Cardiff and is expected to sign a one year deal to move back to his family home in London.
The second forward is reportedly a youngster from Arsenal.

Helguson has gone back to Iceland. He's either retiring or playing for his boyhood club Throttur Reykjavic.

Cardiff did not release Heider Helguson he has retired due to being out of contract

Nope. Helguson is going home to Iceland.

Give me strength. Heiðar Helguson's boyhood club was UMFS in Dalvík. He was there for eight years until he went to Þrottur when he was 16.

Toni silver has not been made available for loan

Before the end of the season Steele was quoted as saying that it has nothing to do with the money!

03 Jun 2013 21:04:53
John Cofie to sign for Walsall

Joining notts mate

04 Jun 2013 07:52:44
Joining Notts County

03 Jun 2013 21:03:20
Shrewsbury Town are in talks with young Scunthorpe United striker Jamie Wooton over a four year deal.

4 year deal? definitely not true, we only hand out 2 year deals.

Shrewsbury rarely do a 4 yr deal so doubt this is true

03 Jun 2013 20:43:03
bristol rovers to sign Stuart Campbell ass assistant manager in the next week or so.

Utterly ridiculous. Campbell is player/assistant coach at the Tampa Bay Rowdies in the US. He and his family are happy there and I can't see him coming back to Bristol anytime soon

This isn't so ridiculous - from what I understand Stuarts wife has stayed in the UK due to the needs of one of their children - so this could happen. that said I don't think Stuart left on the best of terms in the end, Model Professional in my eyes and would welcome him back!.

03 Jun 2013 19:49:10
MK Dons will hand a trial to Belize international striker Deon McCauley, aged 25. McCauley has an impressive goal/game ratio for his country, 15 in 16, and is top scorer in the Central American World Cup qualifying group stage with 11 goals.

Having been described as an energetic and speedy forward with an eye for goal, he had a trial with Portland Timbers FC of the MLS in February, which he failed.

McCauley will feature in the Dons' friendlies against Barnet and Brackley, as well as possibly Rayo Vallecano.

What about a work permit?

If he's played a certain percentage of international fixtures then a work permit shouldn't be a problem

It's not like football manager mate. Work permits are actually possible to be granted. How on earth did you find that out? Would be amazing if its true- probably not

Sounds a good bet, let's hope he performs in pre season.

Surely we'd need to pay for him though?

"It's not like football manager mate. "

I suggest you read up on employment law and FIFA/FA rules first.

You can't just bring over anyone from outside the EU and offer them a contract.

However, I'd be interested to know his background. If he has an EU passport then there's no issue despite playing for a lowly ranked nation.

He's a free agent now

06 Jun 2013 10:25:24
deon mccaulay is exactly the sort of player Karl Robinson should be looking for.

He is a raw and undiscovered talent, who will be available on a free contract and won't break the bank in terms of wages.

I understand he also had a trial for MLS side Chicago Fire as well as Portland Timbers but didn't get signed by either. League One in England would be a perfect stepping stone for him.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=48Mn-yqdZvI

Shades of George Weah's cousin all over again here.

Ali Dia or something, wasn't it?

Has to be a wind-up.

03 Jun 2013 20:44:28
Diego Capel to Norwich City, fee agreed £4million.

Would love it to be true. but I doubt it

Complete horsetosh

Why is it horsetosh? could very well be a target, he is a left winger and we defo need another wide man and as everyone knows sporting are in debt and have no european football to offer now, that's how we got their best player van wolfswinkle so why could this not happen?

The fact that liverpool are apparently interested could happen but very highly doubt {Ed052's Note - Liverpool are not interested. Capel will quite likely go to Swansea who are at the front of the queue}

Fully agree on capel keep hearing this alot

Would be a great singing

A great singing? does he do karaoke then? that will liven up the dressing room

03 Jun 2013 20:59:20
Keith hill is not friends with Ryan Lowe. Lowe will sign for buy I next 72 hours. uts!

03 Jun 2013 20:21:30
John Paul Kissock is being lined up by Northampton Town as a replacement for Luke Guttridge who is set to join Oxford on a two year deal

I hope this goes ahead, just so we can occasionally know that someone called John Paul Kissock exists.

03 Jun 2013 20:06:25
Dundee United have agreed to pay Partick Thistle compensation over the loss of their manager Jackie McNamara. The Tannadice club are delighted with the settlement but Firhill supremo, David Beattie, is remaining tight lipped. McNamara's own claim for a bonus payment is still unresolved.

03 Jun 2013 20:27:48
Huddersfield Town are believed to have made a bid in the region of £750,000 for very highly rated Dundee United tricky winger, Gary Mackay-Steven. With Huddersfield rumoured to be close to signing Mackay-Steven's team mate, Johnny Russell, this signing could also be happening as the two of them are very close friends.

As a Town fan I would love this to be true, but at this very moment Town haven't contacted Dundee Utd concerning either player as we're focusing on other targets at the moment.

Russell is going to middlesbrough

Would love this to happen! But I highly doubt it since Russell looks likely to sign for Derby

£750k haha no chance at that price!

Please let It be true, the pair are amazing

Russel going to derby, fee agreed

03 Jun 2013 20:26:53
Reading and Galatasaray are set to build upon their 'sister club' agreement to the advancement of both teams.

Galatasaray have discussed with Reading the option of taking Pavel Pogrebnyak on loan next year. This would mean Reading get a high earner off the books whilst having him available if they were to make an immediate return to the Premier League. It also means that Galatasaray get a quality striker at low cost. But the Russian frontman may scupper the move as he would prefer a permanent move away from the Madejski.

Galatasaray have offered Reading the opportunity to take three of their players on loan.

With Alex Pearce set to leave the Madejski, Galatasaray have allowed Reading to discuss taking centre back Ceyhun Glselam on a season long loan with the option of a permanent move if Reading were to get promoted back to the Premier League at the first attempt.

Glselam spent the end of last season on loan at Kayserispor and Fatih Terim has encouraged him to consider a move away from the Trk Telekom Arena. He will be competing with Adrian Mariappa and Sean Morrison for a starting place.

Also available to Reading is young central midfielder Furkan zal. With Galatasaray keen on buying Jem Karacan it is possible that zal moving to the Madejski would allow Karacan to depart over the summer.

Both Glselam and zal hold German nationality.

The third player available to Reading is young striker Sercan Yıldırım. Yıldırım spent the end of 2012-13 on loan at Sivasspor and they are open to him experiencing football in a different league to continue his development. Although Galatasaray will not allow him to transfer permanently he will be allowed to spend a second season at the club if they were to get promoted to the Premier League. If Pogrebnyak were to move to the Trk Telekom Arena it would push Yıldırım further down the pecking order making a loan a good option for both parties. With a handful of caps for the Turkish national team, Reading are confident that they would not have a problem getting a work permit for Yıldırım.

Reading have also enquired about the availability of taking Colin Kzim-Richards from Galatasaray permanently. The player is open to a move to the Championship after a loan with Blackburn last season and sees Reading as a good prospect to bounce back.

It was going well until you described Pogrebnyak as a 'Quality' striker

^True story.

Pog and quality shouldn't be in same sentence unless you are talking about cardboard

Sercan yilidrim is 23. that's not that young for a loan deal

03 Jun 2013 20:27:14
Jean-Louis Akpa-Akpro is set for a 3 month loan at Bury after falling out of favour at Tranmere.

The quick ex-Rochdale man speaks regularly with Blackwell and the move is definitely on.

Since when has he been "out of favour"? He's one of RM's favourite players and he regularly talks about him playing at a higher level. B******t

Barnsley are supposed to be in for him.

Bury would be a step down

It's unlikely that a former Fail player would join the ranks of Bury fc. Short term loan deals are what got us relegated last season no thanks.

But a huge step up from the conference where he belongs.

Hahah you done make me laugh JLAA is our top class striker

06 Jun 2013 18:10:09
It will be a cold day in hell before this happens

03 Jun 2013 20:23:39
Shrewsbury are interested in ex Scunthorpe defender Eddie Nolan.

He still plays for Scunthorpe

He's been released by Scunthorpe as of 1st July

03 Jun 2013 20:23:15
I hope and pray this rumour isn't true.
According to reports in norfolk, middlesbrough have inquired about luciano becchio. any deal will depend on grant holts pending move away from carrow road and norwich signing their main target van wolfswinkel.

It's not true, holt is going no where and van wolf winkle has already signed

Interesting since there have not been any reports in Norfolk and we signed Van Wolfswinkel weeks ago!

Becchio to Boro not implausible though.

I thought that the wolfswinkel deal had been done. I wasn't sure why the becchio deal was linked to that move. But Holt is going for certain. He's wanting one more big move. For some crazy reason Australia seems to be an option.

Becchio would be a top signing and van wolfs winkle was pre signed back in feb. this is a poor post as none of this will be happening.

Doubt this will happen. not because its boro but because I can't see norwich starting the season with a completely new set of strikers.

Van Wolfswinkel hasn't signed a contract. Therefore we haven't signed him, we've agreed a deal, but he says he wants to join so I'm not complaining

03 Jun 2013 20:16:32
Shrewsbury Town are interested in signing Karl Hawley. Shrews manager Graham Turner needs to strengthen up front given that he only has one recognised striker, (Tom Bradshaw) on the books.

Hawley was recently released by Scunthorpe.

Meanwhile, the Shrews look likely to lose winger Jon Taylor, who today rejected a new contract offer.

Hope 2010

Hawley is rubbish. Much prefer sodje

No one player is ever bigger that the football club

I know Jon Taylor go to Derby county
And he join Derby county this week.

03 Jun 2013 20:16:20
York linked with Stevenage foreward Dani Lopez who was loan out last season to aldershot and Barnet.

03 Jun 2013 20:00:20
Burton close to signing alex McDonald source tv

03 Jun 2013 19:31:54
Luton Town are on the verge of signing former Southend player now out of contract Bilel Mohsni.

Very unlikely. He's not going to drop in to non league football.

Signing later today for the hatters COYH

03 Jun 2013 19:43:35
Southampton have had an £8m bid accepted for Younes Belhanda.

Would be quite the signing to pull off but unlikely to happen at such a price.

Very hard to believe, man united had interest back in January and it is likely that if he makes a move it will be to PSG or man united depending on Moyes.
Mac

Would love this to happen, but very unlikely.

There's talk of arsenal, tottenham and Liverpool interested. The chances of him coming to us is very unlikely. I wouldn't put it past cortese but I can't see this one happening. Have you got a source? Ed anything substantial on these elmohamady rumours? {Ed001's Note - Elmohamady? He is off to Hull City last I heard.}

Would be good signing but unlikely as I've heard arsenal and spurs are interested

Not sure how genuine the other 'big' clubs interest is considering they seem to be linked with all sorts. Perfectly possible the media has fabricated their interest as it happens often enough.

Actually, it is Villa who are in for Belhanda. Not Saints, according to Sky

Sky don't have a clue what Southampton are doing.

Villa have bid not saints get your facts straight

Yea, its really unlikely that a team with billionares as owners is going to buy a player that plays for morocco. ummm why?

st stuie

Why would playing for Morocco have any part in Saints not signing him? Strange logic.

04 Jun 2013 21:11:20
quality

I have to admit to having little knowledge in this part of the world, however, I think that Rahdi Jaidi has stayed on the books with Southampton in order to assist with the aquisition of players from North Africa, maybe this is the 'playing for Morroco' link?

Radhi Jaidi is Tunisian

Tunisia is north africa. ^^

Brentford
Genuine insider information, close links with the chairman
Possible ins:
Michael Chopra (Ipswich) free transfer
Jay Emmanuel Thomas (Ipswich) free transfer
Danny Green (Charlton)
Tom Adeyemi (free agent)
Jake Bidwell (Everton) permanent/loan
Bradley Wright Phillips (Charlton) free transfer
Possible outs:
Harry Forrester
Aaron Pierre
Antonio German

I'm not a brentford fan, I am just good friends with a relative of the chairman and these names have come up so far {Ed029's Note - You were a Brentford fan when you posted at 02 Jun 2013 15:14:13 yesterday...

You forgot Ronaldo from Real Madrid lol!

Rumours that Brentfords Harry Forrester is in talks with Qpr is he any good?

03 Jun 2013 22:18:31
Chopra and Emmanuel-Thomas have been transfer listed they are not free agents because they both have years left on their contracts.

Chopra is a high earner at Ipswich and, in the unlikely event that any other club will match his present earnings, he will see out the final year of his contract at Portman Rd. We might even see him make an effort in the 2nd half of next season in order to earn a new deal somewhere but everyone knows, now, that he brings a lot of baggage with him. NM/ITFC

Will swap chopra and jet for forrester

Forrester is one of the most overated players I have ever seen.

One thing. We don't have a Chairman! So pretty obvious this is all made up/taken from other people's rumours

We don't have a chairman correct Dyke has gone - He will not be replaced. He does NOT own the club. Matthew Benham calls the shots not Greg Dyke.

03 Jun 2013 19:30:39
Scunthorpe's Jimmy Ryan will sign for Chesterfield on Wednesday after agreeing a two year deal at the Proact Stadium.

Far from true he has a clause for another year on his contract which Scunny will take up

Scunny have told him to find another club as they can't afford to take up the option. Radio Humberside expect him to sign for Chesterfield

Scunthorpe have not taken the option and it was announced on Radio Sheffield last week that Ryan will sign this week. Far more realistic than the Kevin Philips & Rob Earnshaw fantasy. Ventress

Brian Laws has said he can leave.

Scunthorpe have withdrawn their one year option and he will sign for chesterfield this week.

04 Jun 2013 11:10:36
Scunny have said on their official site that he is free to look for another club as they can't afford to take up that option

Signed one year deal today.

03 Jun 2013 19:27:29
Jose Mourinho to make Sami Khedira his first signing at Chelsea

Modric will be the first. the next is dependent on suarez joining real madrid. if this happens expect a huge bid for ronaldo. Mourinho will move heaven and earth to bring Ronaldo to Stamford Bridge. Lots of ifs and buts there but chelsea will spend hugely this summer. Torres to be given a chance but lukaku back out on loan to villa with Benteke coming the opposite direction.

And Luka Modric

03 Jun 2013 19:26:04
its official, huddersfield have agreed a deal with both norwich and james vaughan to bring him to the terriers. the deal includes vaughan and 2million pound for town right-back jack hunt!

Official? Where? Stay off the sherbet dib dabs!if I'm wrong ill eat my socks

My heads spinning

03 Jun 2013 23:19:25
agents talking drivel again,

Yes. norwich will give a striker and 2m for a third choice right back. both martin and whittaker are better.

04 Jun 2013 09:11:38
What are you on? We don't need a right back for starters and I'm certain if both players were involved it would be you giving Norwich cash plus Hunt.

Regardless it will be straight cash for Vaughan, if we do sell him. No certainties that he will be sold though.

Suppose Pilks could have put his 10 penneth in by way of background on JH.

My only concern with this rumour is that we might want another right back if the Russell Martin to villa deal is true.

03 Jun 2013 18:13:04
Gavin Massey of Colchester United tweeting Bradley Garmston about seeing him soon at colu;

Looks like a pretty big clue the WBA left back will be returning to Essex for another loan spell.

Manager Joe Dunne confirmed a few weeks ago he was in advanced talks to bring some of the loanees back to the club, the other is popular goalkeeper Sam Walker who confirmed the talks himself and is keen to return.

03 Jun 2013 18:32:28
Dany N'Guessan of Millwall has put in another request to leave as he wants to push through a move to Charlton, team he was on loan to 2011/12

Please take him. Ill pay for all his expenses, shocking championship footballer

He can't finish his dinner he's s*** have him

04 Jun 2013 11:30:17
N guessing swap for haynes problem solved :-)

04 Jun 2013 12:13:05
N'Guessan had a loan spell at Charlton, it went well, he was out of favour at Millwall so we made a bid. That was a while ago now and things have moved on, the deal maybe would have happened if Millwall had not been greedy with the money they wanted, we've covered that position from youth and to be honest got a better player so I can't see anything with Charlton now, not for a fee, especially after what happened at the end of the season.

04 Jun 2013 11:30:17
N guessing swap for haynes problem solved :-)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haynes was released on a free a while ago my friend.

Seeing as we only have 2 strikers ( Yann and john obika ) we need him. And to be honest, I would love him to start along Yann and fight with obika for a first team spot, unless we could do better

Keep him. Why go backwards. They had their chance to offload him and we have better players at the club now.

If he goes there really is a god

It's news to me if we have Obika! He was on loan with us last season, to the nest of my knowledge he returned to Spurs, and scored for their under 21s, he hasn't as yet returned to us, although the rumour persists, along with many others.

Isn't Obika going back to Tottenham? I believe that 34 year old Kermorgant is our only first team striker, and he ain't going to be fit all season. We need to bring strikers in desperately

Kermo is old yes but did you see his performances last season he was quality. and he is only 31 yes that is old but he will be fit throughout the season the only injury last season was a broken ankle due to a freak accident at training.

03 Jun 2013 18:28:23
afc bournemouth keen on gary dicker and jamie makie

Please may this be true, jamie mackie would be awesome

Afcb need to concentrate on signing some top notch defenders because under Eddie Howe in the championship they will concede an absolute bucket load, offensively Bournemouth will do well but when it come to defending Eddie is a tad clueless, very easy to get away with at league 1 level which is why I believe Eddie will never become a top manager.

^ Assuming you're definatly not a Bournemouth fan? :L

Clearly never seen Eddie play either, he was a great defender!. all attacking teams get caught out at the back on occassions. Remember Keegans team at the Toon?

Yeah of cause Eddie is clueless at defending, not like he was a quality defender himself or anything?

Swindle fan above hey why don't your concentrate on your sinking ship can't stop long have to catch the championship bus enjoy Rotherham away when we will be at leeds

04 Jun 2013 13:36:04
They score 3? We'll score 4 then! I think we'll be OK. As for Eddie's potential as a Manager. Seem to remember Tony Pulis, another Ex AFCB player & manager having the same thing said about him. Eddie has shown real promise & I can see him managing a Premier Club eventually, albeit not Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal!

Eddie howe surely would have played for England he was class this is defo a swindon fan as there club is a sinking ship

04 Jun 2013 15:31:37
not being funny when we had our main back 4 last season it was arguably the most solid defence in the league, eddie is hardly clueless

Eddie howe managing a premier club you having a laugh

Eddie howe will be a future England manger for sure watch this space

03 Jun 2013 18:08:33
Boro to sign Doncaster's James Coppinger. - t. y. {Ed029's Note - Any particular 'Boro'?

Scarboro?!

I'm assuming you mean stevanage

03 Jun 2013 22:02:49
Marlborough?

Well he does live up there.
No truth in this rumour, it must be Whitby's mate.

Probably it is Middlesbrough, because he is from the Nort East and intneds to move back when he is close to finishing playing, if Lee Croft is signing maybe Copps feels his place is not secure? This would be believable if he didn't have a testimonial year the season after next season?

Copps to Boro, Must be Hartlepoolboro or Darlingtonboro, Only good for them. Way past Championship material.

Lanza nice to see you post on here too.
Sorry to upset you but Copps will be here for the testimonial.

Copps won't be going anywhere! He's been at Rovers almost 10 years now. He's a very good player on his day.

Watford are rumoured to be signing Federico Macheda for a fee of 500k from Manchester United, the italian is set to sign a 5 year contract

Would be a decent addition.

Been appalling everywhere he's been for the last 3 years. He's made an entire career off the back of his late goal against Aston Villa. I hope this isn't true.

2011 Sampdoria Played 14 score 0, 2012

2011: Sampdoria- Played 14 Scored 0, 2012: QPR - Played 3 Scored 0 2013: Stuttgart - Played 14 Scored 0 at Manchester United he scored 4 in 19 games. That's a total of Played 50 Scored 4 Hardly Lionel Messi is he! Sure we can find better.

Not out of the question, but more likely to return to Italy

Zola is smart enough to know that this guy isn't what we need

Charlton this summer have work to do
first they need to get 2 strikers in to take the load off yann and jackson
second they need to get a left back, or put faith in morgan fox to do well and push rhoys wiggins
third they need to attract more fans to get gates over 20 000
fourth they need to cut the wage bill a small bit because our wage bill is 13m, it needs to drop a few million
possible transfer targets are

mark gower-done
marlon pack- good chance, 500k
simeon jackson- good chance, free
gary taylor fletcher- good chance, free
conor henderson, good chance, free
sanchez watt, outside chance, free
jake wright, outside chance, free

outs
dale stephens 1.5m
danny hollands 250k
danny green, loan
semi ajayi, loan
bradley jordan free

Bradley Jordan isn't leaving. He's been given another one year contract - it just hasn't been announced by the powers that be yet.

04 Jun 2013 12:16:50
Sorry, why do Charlton need to cover left back when they have Wiggins and Evina? Both very good players at Championship level and capable of moving up too.

04 Jun 2013 12:16:50
Sorry, why do Charlton need to cover left back when they have Wiggins and Evina? Both very good players at Championship level and capable of moving up too.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Because many sources have probably accurately reported that Evina is going to turn down a new deal meaning he won't be with us next year.

Evina rejected a deal and will probably leave so cover will be needed for Wiggins

Would like to see Seabourne back (not sure if I have spelt his name correctly.

Would like to see Seabourne back (not sure if I have spelt his name correctly.

Who ever put this needs to be tested for drugs or something the player was very poor and that's putting it kindly

Done deal: Alan McCormack to join brentford on a free
Brentford in talks with jay Emmanuel Thomas who is on a free as a potential replacement for forrester who looks likely to leave

03 Jun 2013 18:39:24
The new owners/chairman at Bury are set to hand Kevin Blackwell a 500k transfer budget, despite missing out on Ryan Lowe.

David worrall has said he wants to stay and they are set to set up a loan partnership with Manchester City to help develop their young players.

500k is the wage budget.

Unless the club lose 3 big earners.

Interesting but highly unlikely.

03 Jun 2013 18:38:39
P'Boro will sign jimmy ryan on a free

03 Jun 2013 18:38:20
Chris Humphrey is set to join PNE after turning down Rangers

I think you will find that it was Humphries agent that made up the Rangers story.

They never wanted him

03 Jun 2013 18:35:32
John-Joe O'Toole to sign for Bristol Rovers by the end of next week.

Pray this is true UTG

04 Jun 2013 21:55:51
He will be key for promotion next year

03 Jun 2013 18:15:05
Jay Simpson rumoured to be attracting interest from Blackpool manager Paul Ince.

03 Jun 2013 18:02:41
Walsall to turn to Kevin Davies after failing to tie up Alan Lee.

04 Jun 2013 15:53:11
Never going to happen

No no and thrice no. What is so hard for people to understand when posting Walsall rumours?

They don't pay big money.
They won't change that stance in the near future.
They are well run and don't take silly risks.

Absolute gargage. At least come up with realistic posts.

03 Jun 2013 18:02:48
I am a Bristol city fan, I just wanted to say to all the Yeovil town supporters congratulations. I heard there was over 22k of you at Wembley and for a town of 40k that's maginificent. I've only been to huish twice and to be honest it was a great experience and will add something new to the championship- it's a bit small but i'm sure you'll pack it out each week and I'm certain you'll become a solid championship club. however I've heard that jon stead is on his way down the road to you, I would be concerned at his wage bill for you as he was on a lot at city and didn't get up to much, good luck next season {Ed029's Note - You post an awful lot of Yeovil rumours for a "Bristol City" fan...

As an MK Dons fan, I agree that Yeovil will add something new to the Championship. Great old-fashioned stadium and a nice away day in general, plus you have a young squad which will only get better in time. Good luck - We hope to join you soon!

03 Jun 2013 20:19:24
a 'Bristol City' fan, good one! Clearly a Yeovil fan who's bigging up his club and wanting our best players or If. IF you are a bristol city fan you are deluded because Steady was our best player under SOD until he got injured in March! And he has said he's already going back north, read the lads twitter page he said he has to move back up north for his family's sake as he wants a proper relationship with them again!

Very lame if really a Yeovil fan in disguise

Would be a great achievement for little old Yeovil if they could establish themselves in the Championship. Good luck to 'em, deserved to go up. Blades fan.

As good as that would be, Steads most likely destination is Huddersfield.

Stead won't be going to Yeovil, he will be oop North next year.

I'm sure Gary Johnson will find Yeovil some bargains and they will become established in the Championship.

So true yeovil deserve it

I can believe you're a city fan mate, fair play to yeovil they've done quality and stead would be awesome addition

04 Jun 2013 19:56:05
Every and I mean every City fan knew why Steady was leaving. As mentioned, he has been having a house built near Huddersfield and wants his kids to grow up near their extended family who are Yorkshire based.
Stead will NOT be going to Yeovil, of that I am utterly convinced!
I wouldn't be shocked if he ended up at Barnsley or Bradford.

I think he tweeted that he misses his mum, and his kids deserve to know their grandparents.

He is heading North.

Utter cobblers, you're no City fan, we all know Stead's on his way oop north, to live in his nice new house.

03 Jun 2013 16:12:24
Halifax will sign Simon Ainge on loan from Luton aswell as currently released player from Bradford Adam Baker.

03 Jun 2013 17:36:12
Jamie Vardy, Lyle Taylor and Josh King to sign contracts with boro in the coming month {Ed029's Note - Boro who?

Middlesbrough.

03 Jun 2013 20:25:19
There is only one boro ed, middlesbrough have been the boro since 1876, peterboro are posh and Stevenage boro are just stevenage. {Ed029's Note - Indeed, though our younger fans might not know that.

03 Jun 2013 17:47:08
Craig Stanley to return and sign for Morecambe following Aldershot's demise.

03 Jun 2013 17:44:07
Ryan Lowe is sensationally set to snub his prodigal home, Bury and join arch rivals Rochdale!

Keith Hill is said to be on good terms with Lowe and the deal should be concluded shortly.

I have heard that too. I also heard Ronaldo was signing for Dale as Keith Hill has a Real Madrid top with his name and number on the back.

Shows what Lowe must think of himself by going down a league to a struggling team with crowds of 2K. lol

You must be joking Ryan Lowe would only drop down a level for his beloved Bury fc or maybe just maybe Afc Chester.

03 Jun 2013 17:29:15
Bury FC are set to wrap up the signing of David Amoo on a free transfer on a two-year deal.

The speedster will return to Gigg Lane after unsuccessful spells with Preston and Tranmere.

This should be announced with 72 hours.

03 Jun 2013 18:01:26
league 2 is his level

I think we all know he isn't very good.

Great! But he can't cross a ball

Amoo played well for 30 mins whislt at pne rubbish really

03 Jun 2013 17:28:56
In view of the imminent departure of Aaron Cresswell, Ipswich are looking at Wycombe left back Grant Basey.

Early days but he is seen as an ideal replacement.

Do me a favour, this guy has had more clubs than I've had hot dinners!

Why is it an imminent departure? There have been no bids for cresswell yet! And it's going to take a lot of money for him to leave!

If Basey is a target for Ipswich then I would be worried if I was them

03 Jun 2013 17:25:32
john cofie will sign for notts county next week on a 3 years deal

this is real no lie at all...

Should've stayed at Burnley instead of going to man united a few years ago.

Like the coffee but not spelt the same. lol

Is that him from the green mile Big bloke him

Please sign and quick cofie

03 Jun 2013 16:27:38
Walsall close to a deal for former WEst Ham, Plymouth and Stevanage defender Bondz N'Gala.

Oh dear

You can do better than him

03 Jun 2013 20:57:57
At least ngala can defend unlike Mathias doumbe who cant

MKD is a much better defender than N'gala!

03 Jun 2013 16:47:41
Brian McDermott is set to make a sensational swoop upon Reading to bring one of his former strikers with him to Leeds.

Sadly we won't be bringing in Adam Le Fondre, but Nick Blackman who has struggled to settle in the south and has asked for permission to look for a move back up north where he was settled in Yorkshire before. {Ed029's Note - I don't know where you got that one from, but I can assure you it's not true.

Shame it's not true, not shown any signs of being worth the £1.2m we paid for him.

Neither of these players are joining us. Especially not Blackman he's a load of rubbish. Unless Brian has a lot of money to spend then I highly doubt le fondre will be reunited with McDermott

We HAVE to buy Le Fondre, regardless of the price the owners need to go into there pockets or sell up. Le Fondre could get us promoted by himself

Reading will not sell Le Fondre to Leeds or any other championship clubs. And no clubs will pay the extortionate fee we'd want. I have heard it will take £8m for us to sell Le Fondre

Leeds couldn't afford £8 let alone £8m.

03 Jun 2013 16:46:13
Coventry city to ground share with Nuneaton Borough next season DEAL DONE! Trust me.

Utter nonsense they are still negotiating. For the ricoh. Nothing will be confirmed until the8th June at the earliest.

How will that work out then. Coventry have more season ticket holders than the capacity of Nuneaton Boroughs ground. Also how are wages going to paid when the capacity is only 4500, what sort of budget will Pressley have when the club is running on gates of 4500. If it happens the club will go bust in a year!

Lastly I think they are now called Nuneaton Town!

03 Jun 2013 16:13:11
Steve Williams who has just been released from Bradford is going to Inverness.

03 Jun 2013 16:08:10
AS Monaco are on the hunt for a new keeper after hearing they won't be signing Victor Valdes. The are after stoke keeper Asmir Begovic. Stoke will demand money for him after his good season. They are also interested in French midfielders Samir Nasri and Maxime Gonalons

Monaco set to sign Diego Lopez

Yeah, they're minted and all. but this is never going to happen. If Begovic leaves, it will be to a top Premier League side.

Asmir Begovic says he is committed to Stoke and Coates says that there is no need to sell him and that he expects him to be at Stoke next season.

I would cash in on bego tbh, monaco have an unreal amount of money to spend, cash in and buy a decent 15+ goal striker

Stoke could ask Monaco for 50 million and they would pay it

I think Bego will stay

'Stoke will demand money for him'. can't believe that for one second! Of course if Monaco want Begovic and meet Stoke's valuation he will go but so far no bids.

Bidding war between Sheffield Wednesday and Bradford for Marlon Pack, apparently Cheltenham want £75,000 and Bradford had offered £65,000

It's not up to Cheltenham. Whoever Pack chooses will have to agree the compensation fee with them.

Wednesday won't be in bidding war with anyone, good luck at bradford marlon.

Hes signed a contract with bradford it will be announced july 1st

He will join posh

Among others.

He's been busy lately going on holiday and going to el capitano Russ Penn's wedding so I expect the LAST thing he wanted to do today was travel to Bradford to sign a contract!

04 Jun 2013 09:21:22
You forgot The Tractor Boys are intrested as well, Portman Road a more likely destination for him

The fee will be vastly more than £75'000

Why on earth would he go to Bradford? Championship clubs want him.

He would not go to Bradford. Marlon wants to stay down south. Charlton is the most likely destination.

It is not down to Marlon Pack how much compensation they give to Cheltenham! Why would he care about that?! Its down to the two teams to come to a conclusion! If not then it goes to a tribunal, which is why Cheltenham are being realistic and saying 50-75k because that's how much he would cost should it go to a tribunal!

03 Jun 2013 16:21:43
Brightons Adam El-Abd is set to leave his boyhood team. He will reject the the contract given to him am sign one at Middlesbrough who are rumoured to be willing to pay 12. 5k a week to him.
Source- academy player at Brighton

Very exciting signing, sold centre half which is just what boro need, will allow woody to sit on bench and play when needed

Boro won't be signing anyone for more than 8k a week this summer trust me I am in the know

No way, espiecially when we can get get a better player who gets paid for less.

Would be a decent signing on a free and a rock at the back

How would an academy player at Brighton know what Boro are willing to pay?

Hope your keeper is good at saving pens

What do you mean by academy player? Who's a academy player? Adam El-Abd is certainly not a academy player {Ed003's Note - read it properly}

This post is all wrong for a number of reasons

1. Boro will not be paying any player £12. 5K per week. They have a salary cap at £10k per week. Most new signings this season will be on between £5-8K per week

2. The Brighton player that Boro have been watching is Gary Dicker and that's because his contract is about to expire.

Maybe he knows El Abd personally?

Every time I see highlights involving el-abd it's him being or being lucky not to be sent off for off the ball incidents or professional fouls. Maybe boro need a bit of a mean streak?

03 Jun 2013 15:52:34
Bolton manager dougie freedman is interested in brinnging Marvin emnes to the Reebok, he is said to be a big admirer of the Dutchman and is looking to improve his striking options.
Also Marcos Alonso has completed his move to fiorentina on a free transfer, wish him all the best of luck.

There has been slight interest but I think they waiting on what else becomes available.

Freeman has cooled on this. Reported in boro local paper

Wigan in talks with tony pulis ex stoke boss

No way!!

Whelan has already come out and said that the new manager will have to follow on the football philosophy, that alone riules out Mr Pullis.

03 Jun 2013 20:14:07
Dave whelan knows too much about football. - this will not happen

If you want a man to get you back in the prem then he is one of them.

Or not according to Dave Whelan himself, who stated on the radio on Monday night that he has not begun the interview process yet.

Chairman or forum poster.

Wigan have very high footballing principle. I can see Tony going to someone like Sheffield Utd and help them get back into the Championship and possible even The Prem.

03 Jun 2013 15:48:21
Recently promoted Crystal Palace are said to be chasing Dundee United pair Johnny Russell and Gary Mackay-Steven as they look to increase their attacking options for the new season. Holloway is keen to bring in young talent and sees the pair as ideal candidates to fill the voids left by Wilfried Zaha's departure to Manchester Untied and Glenn Murray's long term injury.

Johnny russell to sign for celtic this week

Alongside Darren Bent and Charlie Adam sounds pretty good to me!

And Livermore

05 Jun 2013 12:07:31
Signed for Derby

03 Jun 2013 15:47:44
Recently released Huddersfield midfeilder Arfield and Motherwell winger Chris Humphrey will be announced together as Preston players on Thursday.

Just 1 don't need 2

Well that rumour turned out to be false. Well done

03 Jun 2013 15:27:54
A source has confirmed for me that exodus geohaghon has today had a medical at peterborough united after being released by Mansfield town at the end of last season. It will be his second spell at peterborough, the club need a strong centre back to replace the outgoing zakuani who is set to join Birmingham city

First of all, where has this money come from to sign Zakuani? And secondly, Posh will not be signing Exodus, he is awful and everyone in the club knows that.

Haha haha genius! Exodus was soooooo bad he was entertaining!

Is it April fools day?

Lol I loved Big X. It wasn't his fault he was out of his depth at POSH last time but he had some good games when playing for Gannon and even got a MOTM in one of his latter games. That throw in would be devastating in League 1 if we had someone to get on the end of the headers - Barnett? ha ha now I've got a stitch

This is the funniest rumour to EVER appear!!

03 Jun 2013 15:19:15
Reading seem to have won the race to sign Jernade Meade, surprisingly released by Arsenal. Meade's performance against Reading in front of their staff (albeit not Adkins) in the Carling Cup was enough to persuade the club to make him an offer that beats the others on the table

03 Jun 2013 15:16:52
Oldham are in talks to sign the following players
Goalkeepers
Dave Woods - Doncaster

Defenders
Reece Brown - Man United
Fitz Hall - Watford
Paolo de Souza - free agent

Midfielders
Iain Vigurs - Ross County
Scott Arfield - Huddersfield
Jason Koumas - Free agent
Jason Kennedy - Rochdale
Korey Smith - free agent

Forwards
Geovanni - free agent
Bradley Wright-Phillips - Charlton
Jamie Cureton - Exeter

I'm not saying all of these will happen but I have insider knowledge of inside the club and this is what I've been told
Before you ask, I'm a Man United fan

Ha ha we wish, where is the money coming form for all their wages by the way YOU.?

BWP isn;t what he used to be, Vigurs isn;t coming to Oldham he said NO to a 2yr deal with an option of a 3rd year.

few nice names but your wrong plus LJ is on his hols. Did your insider not tell you that, >>?

Cureton has already signed for Cheltenham

03 Jun 2013 16:18:14
Dave Woods? If you're going to make stuff up, get the name right!

Paolo de Souza is 42 and retired,
Iain Vigurs isn't signing anymore and
Jamie Cureton is going to cheltenham

Fitz Hall? You're having a laugh? Proven that he's good enough for the Championship despite the fact that he's horribly injury prone.

Fitz Hall? He's on about 10K at Watford.

Haha - Dave Woods, really strong rumour that.
What about Gary Woods, what is he going to be doing I wonder?

Good targets, if they can get 2 or 3 of them good for them its about time Oldham came back up to the championship there a decent club.

Cureton is on holiday and hasn't signed for anyone. He still wants another year at Exeter

Cureton was class at Exeter and crap when he last left

Johnson was at bp yesterday, rumours may be over the top but you also need to get your facts right

Gary Woods was released on free at the end of the season, Not a Doncaster player

It's gary woods and Oldam couldn't afford the wages

Fitz Hall. you mad bro? He's already very important to Watford. Why would he go to a worse team?

You mad bro? Watford would be a league 1 team without all these dodgy loanees they had this year. Haha, good luck trying to cheat the system this year, they've clamped down on it so it won't happen in future

Watford haven't been a league one team for about 20 years, yet a premiership team twice in the same period.

Yh we would obviously have gone down having improved our league position consistently over the three years before this one. Even if we couldn't loan the players, the Pozzo's would have at least moved a few of them to Watford. Anyway, it's a moot point, because anyone else could easily have done the same thing. And next year? Well, since you seem remarkably uninformed about the topic and most likely are getting all you're information from our hilariously stupid friends from the Daily Mail, I'll educate you. The Pozzo's have confirmed that we are going to permanently sign all the remaining loanees save Geijo, who will be moving to Granada, Cassetti, who may or may not decide to move back to Italy, and Vydra who may or may not leave depending on whether Arsenal or Spurs put in the right offer for him. Odion Ighalo, of Granada, another club owned by the Pozzo's, is likely being moved to us as well as Mathias Ranegie and Daniele Mori and Maicosuel, all of Udinese. {Ed003's Note -Brill}

Oldham gave him his chance in the football league and he went on to become a good player.

Think Dowie paid about 30K for him from Chesham United if i'm right.

Most of these will never happen, and as an Oldham fan, the only signing I would be genuinely delighted with Would be Kennedy from Rochdale, he's a very good midfielder

03 Jun 2013 15:11:10
josh gillies has turned down Cheltenham, to sign for Carlisle, he choice them as they play in a higher league and he can continue living in Newcastle.

Yes, please.

03 Jun 2013 15:07:07
Doncaster could be set to sign Goalkeeper Nicky Weaver, that's because Captain Rob Jones has put in a good word over the former Man City player and also played with Dickov. Strong rumour. Also Domcaster Andre to sign John Guidetti, Jose Baxter, Dean Furman, Richie Wellens, Sean St. ledger, Chris McCann, Reece Wabara and Abdul Razak

Wellens almost a done deal, St Ledger will more than likely end up at Sheffield Wednesday. I'd be surprised is Guidetti ended up at Doncaster, too. Destined for a lower-end Prem/top Championship club I reckon.

Any1 heard anything about Gary madine

03 Jun 2013 15:06:44
Kenny Jackett's first job at Wolves will be bringing back Andy Keogh to the club from his former club Millwall.

I think not somehow

I knew soon as it was mentioned on express and star this would become a rumour haha

You can have him. He was poor this season. Just look at his goals per game ratio. Millwall need to sign a couple of decent strikers who know where the goal is.

Millwall also need to sign a manager.

To my mind Keogh has always done well when playing with another forward of good quality such as Kane or Wood or even with Hendo previous, but cannot take the lead himself and falls away in the game. If we keep him maybe a midfield role would suit better.

03 Jun 2013 14:55:33
Oldham will sign Rochdale midfielder Jason Kennedy this week on a 2 year deal after the midfield man rejected a new contract at rochdale

No thanks

Kennedy's decent. Could do with a big, tall physical lad in the midfield.

What person put no thanks? Top player would love him at BP

03 Jun 2013 14:38:38
Seems to be a lot of talk surrounding Jozy Altidore. Not just from England but form Holland and USA too. Could be on his way back to Hull City!

I really hope so, I think he would fit our style of play perfectly

Altidore will for more than City will pay and we're probably the last club in the Premier League he'd want to come to.

Really. i'm pretty sure that when altidore spoke about city it was a lovely club and he got on with the staff, and that he enjoyed his time at the club. but that he himself was disappointed with his own seasonal performance.

03 Jun 2013 14:37:56
Derby County to sign

Johnny Russell - 900k
Craig Forsyth - 225k
Lee Grant - Free
Chris Martin - Free

Then a CB and a winger. The budget for the attacking winger will be decided by the amount spent at CB; the first option is a centre half on loan for 6 months, this would allow Nigel to go and purchase a high quality winger. If a Centre Half signs on a long term deal ie not on loan, this will reduce the budget for the winger.

Grant and Martin signed weeks ago been in a time warp??

News from the club, shaun barker will more than likely be sent out on loan to regain some match fitness.

Ha ha Shaun barker loaned out at his age?
And why would we loan out our best CB?
He is detremental to the team and clough wants expierence.

Shaun Barker out on loan, ha ha ha can't stop laughing, ha ha ha.

Hope you mean 'instrumental'. I would consider Claude Davis detrimental, not Shaun Barker.

03 Jun 2013 14:37:19
Shrewsbury's Jon Taylor is in advanced talks with Derby County. Although this is an old rumour my understanding is that this deal could be completed in the next few days.

Leon Clarke, Mark Duffy, Stephen McGinn, Luke James or Anthony Malbon and Liam Boyce will sign for Shrewsbury, and Goldson, Woods and Grandison will all sign new contracts. However, Jon Taylor will be moving on to Derby or Huddersfield. Turner will use the money from Taylor's move (hes under 21) to sign a replacement right midfielder and right back.

03 Jun 2013 20:27:54
Taylors going on holiday today (twitter). with Goldson so doubt that

Colin how sure are you and how good is this lad, can he make the step up the championship?

Jon Taylor is going on holiday and he's staying at Shrewsbury

A fully fit Jon Taylor is definitely able to make the jump up to The Championship. Good grafter, scores goals and is lightening quick.

Taylor is a good player but probably not consistent enough to play week in week out in the Championship at this stage. He has also been at Shrewsbury since the age of 13, and now at the age of 21 has played nearly 100 times for the first team (scoring 12 times) so I would expect a Tribunal to decide a six figure fee for his services.

03 Jun 2013 13:45:44
leicesters first signing will be Gary Mackey stevens for a fee of 1.5m plus add-ons.

03 Jun 2013 14:18:05
T. Lee to Le-City for a fee off £300k as KS is off to newly promoted Hull, hense the reason we brought in the 6ft8 lad not just for back up.

What team is this?,, jimlcfc

03 Jun 2013 14:17:21
Scunthorpe have just signed chris iwelumo from watford

03 Jun 2013 15:19:16

Ha ha he can;t even jump for the ball, conference for Scunny. lol

Stop slagging him off he might prove you wrong from a sufc fan
UTI.

Unjustified comments above, Chris is a great guy and great professional. May not be the most talented but he is often under-appreciated imo

Not he best goalscoring record but always gives 100%. A great professional.

Chris started slowly at Watford, but under Sean Dyche improved immensly and was responsible for a decent finish for us two seasons ago. He isn't always a goalscoring threat but a great poacher and support player. Also a great player for the fans, as a Watford fan I wish him all the best, I think a solid signing for Scunthorpe.

George Francomb of Norwich City will sign for AFC Wimbledon

Yeah I wish

How do you know? Really hope he signs.

There have to be bigger clubs after him. We would do well to sign him hoping we do

Francomb would be outstanding. POTY with Meades last yr, despite short stay. However, just can't see a Champ or Lge1 side not coming in for him and being more appealing. Only plusses I could see would be he enjoyed his time with us and Ards has said 'if you're fit and in form, you start'.

Yado Mambo will sign for Wimbledon in the coming weeks

Would be impressive to sign both those players, still believe both may attract late attention from clubs who can offer more money, but providing we could get them on the right deals they could both do very well at Wimbledon

Cant see it happening as shrewsbury are keen on him

03 Jun 2013 13:56:44
Coventry City Administrator Paul Appleton will be given the green light to lift the transfer embargo over the club in the next few weeks in order to get back some money. transfers of moussa (Wolves), Clarke (Shrewsbury), Christie (Huddersfield) and Mcsheffery (Northampton) are lieky to bring in much needed money to continue the running of the club over the summer with wages, lawyer and admin fees.

Were still being in amid till next week there the Appleton will talk to Sisu about any permission over coming out of admin or agreeing to take overs

You do realise that a transfer embargo stops you from signing players not selling them

And you do realise that the club has money but refuses to pay the rent?

Need them off the wage list though

Need them off the wage list? McSheffery maybe but Christie and Moussa aren't on much and Clarke has only just signed and will not have been given a big wage due to the club restructuring it's wage policy at the start of last season.

Can you not make up stuff about your own club instead, at least them you will have a chance if actually knowing what you are going in about.

Yeah McSheffery I was on about

You cannot have a transfer embrago lifted if your in admin

West Bromwich Albion to put a cheeky loan bid in for oxlaide chamberlain. I doubt they b able to pull it of tho

Of course not. I know this is a rumours board, but you can do better than that.

No they haven't you made that up clearly

Just because you see him score a great goal last night you thought about making a rumour about him, he won't be going anywhere,
Stick to footy manager!

Can we swop Rosenberg for the ox/

03 Jun 2013 13:14:24
have suspended all odds on Kevin Strootman to join Manchester United. There were talks of a £17.1m deal being agreed, and this seems like it may be the truth.

As back up to Fellaini and Carrick?

03 Jun 2013 13:05:24
Fulham are confrming the signing of Stekelenburg on Tuesday and are expected to complete the signings of Yohan Mollo and Eric Pieters

Who the hell is Eric pieters?

Pieters to stoke

What a surprise more dutch players. I think jol is using fulham as oppurtunity to put himself forward as the next dutch national coach!

Left back for psv he's the guy who punched a pane of glass after being sent kff after 6 months out with cruciate injury but still 23 and no1 left back for holland

03 Jun 2013 13:03:13
Bradden Inman and Chuks Aneke will return to Crewe on loan again this season from Newcastle and Arsenal respectively

03 Jun 2013 12:45:49
Bristol City expect to complete the signings of 4 players by the return of pre season-
Lachelles (forest. Loan)
Flinders
Harley
& Flint

4 decent signings but I don't think Harley is right for us! We still have Elliott and Kelly who would start ahead of him anyway! Not bad for a free transfer though, should never have sold him all those years ago

I would like to see Harley over JET, but I am not sure we will see either at the Gate.

03 Jun 2013 12:40:46
Swansea City and Sporting Lisbon have agreed on a fee of 4.5m for Diego Capel and Swansea are to sign Denilson who has just left Arsenal on a free.

Diego Capel is going to Ncfc

03 Jun 2013 18:23:18
I hope this is true these are rwo quallity players

Diego capel stated he only considering options in spain and only after that will he look elsewhere

Capel isn't going to Norwich he's going to swansea

Denilson quality your havin a laugh!

03 Jun 2013 22:37:22
Hes better than bannan mate

I didn't say he wasn't

03 Jun 2013 12:34:28
Carlisle utd are to sign free agent and former Huddersfield Town and Rep of Ireland striking favourite Alan Lee on 1 yr deal. He will provide cover for the forwards and as an impact substitute. Also beleived that Scott Arfield who was also released by Huddersfield at the end of the last season may be making his way to the cumbrian club.

Thats all Alan Lee should be used for, an impact sub in league 1. He's half dencent in L1, good with his head

CUFC definitely DO have a sell on for Paddy Madden - it was the only thing we did right!

03 Jun 2013 12:20:31
Huddersfield Town are currently trialing several foreign players with a veiw to them joining on full Free transfer contracts from July. The list includes some names people may have knowledge of from spells at English clubs - Gai Assulin -22yr old Israeli winger formally of Man City and about to come out of contract from Racing Santander in Spain.
Mathias 'Zanka' Jorgensen - 23yr old Danish centre back who is in the last year of his current deal but has been told he can leave PSV Eindhoven
Abdul Razak - Ivory Coast international who has also been released by Man City after being on loan at Charlton just before the end of the season just gone.
There is also a goalkeeper from France also being trialed from one of manager Mark Robins recent trips to the continent.
There are more players having trials soon - a pair of players from Portugal are already lined up in the coming days as well.
All though the last part of this rumour is a bit vague it does show the intent on getting younger value for money players who have been brought through from big clubs who have not quite made the 'bigtime'.

Trialling them where? They're all on summer holiday.
Maybe Robins, has his own version of Football manager on his pc!

03 Jun 2013 16:27:14
zanka to huddersfield? wake up man!

Huddersfield wil have more money than psv, go to the new training ground and you will see the money spent.

Very funny after reading that Town to vote on limiting foreign influx of players into FL!

Quite you pathetic Watford fan. The vote is against the loan system and closing the loop hole the Pozzos took advantage of last season, not buying foreign players.

Quite right - Any player looking for a club will forego a summer holiday if he is trialing to find a new employer. The Guy Assulin rumour is very strongly mentioned around Huddersfield - No smoke without fire!
I have heard about him trialing for Sheffield Wednesday recently as well.

03 Jun 2013 12:35:56
Afc bournemouth are set to sign ex player Sam vokes on a 3year deal for 500k

03 Jun 2013 18:12:36
As a football fan looking into Bournemouth I can see huge trouble for them if they carry onlike they are the next Pompey I think

He's got a seriously poor goals to games ratio, wouldn't add to the team, we need a couple of goalscorers

Relax, we haven't signed anyone yet. I also don't think we'll do a Pompey because of the previous administration trouble. The club is now all about consolidating.

Good signing heard this was agreed long time ago along with marvin Bartley for 800k for the pair

750k I got told but you suppose we will soon see

Bartley isn't needed. Backwards step if he comes back. Same with Vokes.

To the person looking into Bournemouth, do not worry Howe is not buying half the players he is rumoured to be on here. Total rubbish, we will possibly sign simeon jackson as he is free. Howe will do a bit of shopping but it will not be big bucks, like crouch, austin etc expect people who are on frees and have prem experience. I doubt we will even sign donaldson, some people talk crap on here. I should know I work for the club lol I mean someone even mentioned reo-coker the other day lmfao please give it a break

03 Jun 2013 12:25:22
Derby County have signed Johnny Russel for 950k with no add ons. This will be announced tomorrow morning. This is from a reliable source as I've heard from certain people within the club

He's on holiday so no you haven't. Calm down about it at least until there's any real news from either club

We won't have signed him because he's on holiday and I doubt he will sign with a medical.

03 Jun 2013 20:32:39
How do you he is on Holiday?

03 Jun 2013 12:20:06
Bradford agree a £65000 fee with Cheltenham for Marlon Pack now down to the player if he wants to join the bantams or not

He's worth 5x that, from an oxford fan!

£650,000 for an out of contract player? You would pay about 75k compensation at most.

I believe he is off to a championship club such as Sheffield Wednesday or charlton.

03 Jun 2013 15:02:34
it says £65,000 not £650,000

Jason Kennedy to sign July 1st 100% true

The Oxford fan who believes marlon pack is worth £3, 250,000 is a complete joke

£650,000 would be fantastic but £65,000 it is. I'm not convinced it will be Bradford though, would not even be convinced CTFC have "accepted" an offer given that it's down to the player to sign and then for terms to be made between the clubs.

No, he's saying Marlon is worth 650,000! I personally think he's worth 200-300K, but Cheltenham are expected to receive between 50-75K for Marlon! Many clubs interested, Bournemouth have been there from the start but Bradford, Charlton and Sheffield Wednesday now interested! I would move to Charlton if I was him because they bring through some good youth talent!

And anyway can no one do maths! 65,000 x 5 isn't 650,000?!

I now bring an end to this maths test. You've all passed.

03 Jun 2013 12:19:19
Ipswich will announce the signings of David McGoldrick* and Daryl Murphy on Tuesday afternoon on free transfers.

They have also rejected an initial £2. 25m bid for Aaron Cresswell and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas from Crystal Palace. This is from a very good source from Palace.

*It has already been announced that he will sign, but the ink will dry on the contract tomorrow PM.

Any news on my team Colchester United ed? Heard we were in for Aldershot striker Craig Reid?

Creswell is worth double that alone!

AC & J. E. T. Cannot see why? Already have Moxey, Parr & Parsons vying for the LB position. As for J. E. T. , although young & talented, has only scored a few goals for Ipswich & therefore can't see him faring any better in the Premier League especially as Palace will need experience ahead of 'prospects'.

JET is on a free, he was released

JET hasn't been released; he's been told that he 'can look for another club, ' in other words, transfer listed. Ipswich are likely to let him go cheaply in order to cut their wage bill. NM/ITFC

No jet has been told by mm that he dosent figure in his plans still under contract for 1 more year

Will be sad if Cresswell leaves; apart from his footballing talent he has missed just one league game in two seasons (through suspension. ) Realistically, though, we's have to consider any offer above £4m and use at least a part of that money to boost MM's war-chest. NM/ITFC

He was not released. Where do people get these crazy ideas from. He's TRANSFER LISTED!

03 Jun 2013 12:12:40
Roman Bednar could be heading back to hearts on a free!

03 Jun 2013 12:10:35
Reading are going to use their parachute payments to give them a good chance of going back up. With lots of player leaving they have contacted teams to get players in early and have already enquired about buying:

Full Backs
Sam Byram (Leeds), Cedric Evina (Charlton), Chris Solly (Charlton)

Centre Backs
Curtis Davies (Birmingham), Tom Lees (Leeds), Harry Maguire (Sheffield United), Shaun Hutchinson (Motherwell)

Midfielders
Liam Bridcutt (Brighton), Harry Forrester (Brentford),
Loans: Tom Carroll (Spurs), Tomas Eisfeld (Arsenal) and Nick Powell (Man U).

Wingers
Dale Jennings (Bayern), Gary Mackay-Steven (Dundee United)

Strikers
Lucciano Becchio (Norwich), Carlton Cole (Free agent), Ross McCormack (Leeds), Jonny Russell (Dundee United), Lee Tomlin (Peterborough), James Vaughan (Norwich), Nakhi Wells (Bradford).

along with several players from France, Germany, Italy and Spain.

Few of these will come off but the intent is there.

Reading will need to stump up over £8m for Byram and £2m for Lees. Will they really spend £10m on 2 players?

Byram is staying put, If he does leave man city Everton amongst others have made enquiries

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake would be good. He is available on a free since being released by Wolves

This is the most ridiculous rumour I have seen. It is well known now that the parachute payments given to teams that go down barely covers wages, losses on ticket sales etc. why do you think wolves went down, Blackburn struggled and Bolton couldn't go up. These signings would easily go over 30 million anyway, bridcutt would go for 5 million, byram 10 million minimum, dale Jennings 5 million, ross mccormack 5 million and Tom lees 5 million. Why would these players leave anyway. Leeds players especially now we have money were not going to be selling our best players especially not to teams who are nowhere near as BIG as us

Oh the delights of Football Manager and a good imagination!. oh and a light sprinkle of fairy dust!!
now here is a fact:
Lukaku seen in norwich!
. (it's true he played for West Brom in Norwich's last home game :-) )

Reading will need to stump up over £8m for Byram and £2m for Lees. Will they really spend £10m on 2 players?

That's hilarious considering most Leeds fans think they can pick up le fondre for less than 5 million.

Where have you got this from anyway reading are selling their best players, McCarthy, le fondre and Pearce. There is nothing in the media on any of these players joining you. I think this just a panicking reading fan wishfully thinking and dreaming of buying good players

Dream on I bet you will get none of these

Lee Tomlin is not a Striker, he plays in Midfield in an attacking free role. Our Chairman does not want to sell hence a price tag in excess of £5 million (not that I think he is worth that) but it has been set that high to deter other clubs. If anyone stumps up that fee then Posh will have the funds to buy a more than adequate replacement

Davies is heading to norwich

8m for Byram. Lol

Haha literally laughed at Byram. Man City possibly, Reading no way! We told Cardiff £8m what makes you think that Reading will pay that or, IF he leaves he will leave for Reading rather than Man City/West Brom/Everton/Arsenal like he's linked with?

No chance of solly going to another championship club, especially if Fulham and west ham are interested. Plus he said he wants to get to the prem with charlton.

03 Jun 2013 18:20:34
Reading will need to stump up over £8m for Byram and £2m for Lees. Will they really spend £10m on 2 players?

That's hilarious considering most Leeds fans think they can pick up le fondre for less than 5 million.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
clearly as byram is going to the under 20 world cup and lees in the under 21 squad, both massive futures and still got years on their contratcs.

A load of tosh, but enjoy the clouds while you're visiting

Add another 8 million plus for Bridcutt

Out of them names the one that stands out for me is Carlton Cole, Very Keen on him as I am a west ham fan but if you get him good luck because he can't hit a barn door let alone a goal!

There is no way Reading will get either of the Norwich strikers dream on

Why would you pay Bayern £5m for Dale Jennings? They've already released him.

I doubt Leeds will let go of those 3 players

Byram would not go to Reading! They can't afford him and he is ready to turn down City and Liverpool to achieve promotion with Leeds

04 Jun 2013 14:37:34
true he is also young talent leeds need

Becchio signing for Reading. Good joke

Yeah Reading can't afford good players not like they have a millionaire owner with a multi billionaire father.

Charlton should sign dale jennings, he's free so no fee and also a quality player who has untapped potential

03 Jun 2013 12:10:14
Peterboro midfielder mcann to join wolves

No he isn't he is signing another contract at Posh!

Any good?

03 Jun 2013 12:30:31
Steve Lomas will be announced as Millwall mabager later this week. The original favourite, Markus Babbel is now out of the running after opting for a holiday in Hungary rather than attending the interview for the job.

Utter nonsense i'm afraid!

Millwall have made a move to speak to Steve

07 Jun 2013 12:26:27
"Utter nonsense i'm afraid" Bet you feel silly now after saying itit was nonsense ha

03 Jun 2013 12:28:40
Derby County have made a bid of £ 1. 25 million for Albert Adomah of Bristol City. FACT.

It true but city rejected it and albert does not want to go there wales or london where he wants to go

Hate it when people put FACT when it clearly isn't.

Adomah WILL end up at Burnley

Adomah will NOT end up at Burnley! I can't see you paying 1. 5/2 million for clearly the best player in league one

I hate it when people say fact. FACT

It's Rafa trolling DCFC rumour pages, he was upset Clough has only now got around to his A licence badge.

It seems that Napoli chairman wants to buy a championship club. I don't have a clue which club he has his eye on. FACT!

Just because people end a statement with "FACT", it doesn't make it one. Just like people that say "I GUARENTEE". you cannot guarentee anything. You can only say it.

The only "fact" about Adamoah's future appears to be fans of all the promoted clubs, and at least half the fans in the Championship want to see him at their clubs.

I don't care where he goes, I just hope we see a decent return on a player who has served us well.

03 Jun 2013 12:08:23
A deal is almost done for Matt Tubbs to move to Rotherham. His family just need convincing to move up North.

~deMiller

I too would need some convincing to move from Bournemouth to Rotherham - and I come from Rotherham!

Are Rotherham signing every available player? This Rotherham rumours stuff has got to stop! It's getting beyond a joke. From an embarrassed Rotherham fan!

Embarrassed? - Many irons in the fire is a good thing - SE's a bulldog with a lot of energy to find the RIGHT player - for the money - the right wages - potential to sell on - and the NOW facture - they need to do it NOW. Many points to satisfy - many options means negotiations easier - DON'T BE EMBARRASSED!

Whys that embarrassing?
Every other club will have fans saying we will sign this player and that.
Many are not true but its all just fun and to get opinions. Iv you don't like it then simply don't go looking for it.

Embarrassed! But I am the Manager and have no knowledge that I am in for so many players! Oh and forget Tubbs it's not happening ever!

^
Alright Steve, what ever.
And don't sign Tubbs, I don't like him and think there's better players out there for us that aren't almost 30.
Get Donnelly from Swansea, he's only 21 and ready a good player.

03 Jun 2013 12:05:32
Reading have agreed a deal to loan Colin Kazim-Richards on loan from sister club Galatasary for the 2013-14 season.

Kazim is seen as a direct replacement for Jimmy Kebe who is looking for a move to the Premier League with the blessing of the club.

Yes please!

Galatasary is not our sister club we are sharing scouting and coaching info not players. how is a striker a replacement for a winger!

03 Jun 2013 12:00:11
Reading have contacted Celtic about Gary Hooper.

Adkins knows him from his time at Scunthorpe and Anton Zingarevich would be willing to stump up the fee required as a straight cash-up-front bid for the frontman as a replacement for Pavel Pogrebnyak with wages not looking like a problem.

Celtic have already braced themselves for his exit, with Norwich cooling their interest after signing van Wolfswinkel and Hull unwilling to meet the fee required.

The striker may opt to remain with Celtic though as he is not keen on dropping down to the Championship but knows that if he signed for Reading they are in good shape to bounce back to the Premier league at the first attempt.

Norwich haven't cooled their interest. Expect him to sign for the Canaries within the next fortnight.

Only in your dreams will Hooper join Reading. Norwich haven't cooled their interest. They're having an overhaul of the striker position, and Hooper is the one they most want at the moment.

Hooper wants to increase his chances of playing for England why would he even consider joining reading?

I think we can get players who would do the same job as Hooper can cheaper than Celtic would want. Anyway we have Alfie :)

Hooper going to spurs

Norwich are still intrested with holt due to leave

Hooper to Liverpool to replace Suarez anyone?

Benteke will replace suarez. Hoops to Canaries

03 Jun 2013 12:00:02
Andy Keogh to return to Wolves and follow manager Kenny Jackett.
Danny Green is set for a move to Brentford from London rivals Charlton.
Bournemouth to make a move for midfielder Gary Dicker.
James McCarthy could be set to move to West Brom should Mulumbu leave.
Hoilett and Crouch swap deal
Redknapp wants Scott Dann, Nick Powell, Harry Arter and Crouch as he looks to build a squad for promotion

Don't have an issue with Keogh myself, think he'd do all right in Div 1, but a lot of Wolves fan used to give him a lot of stick so I can't see him coming back. Think this is a lazy rumour anyway.

Love for McCarthy to come to baggies but doubt he will, and he has been linked with Liverpool.

HaHa! James McCarthy to West Brom? That is ridiculous! West Brom fans seem to think one decent finish in the PL makes you able to sign anyone. James wouldn't look twice at WBA as its not a progressive career move, Spurs and Arsenal are fighting it out for him at a cost of 15m. West Brom couldn't afford that

West brom has had 3 impressive finishes actually, also we are step up to the championship.

If mccarthys worth 15 mill mulumbu must be worth 50 mill also your players ain't that good you wouldn't ov gone down else deluded

Have you ever finished above 10th wigan

Its our 3rd decent finish in a row 11th 10th 8th

West Brom have finished 11th, 10th and 8th in consecutive seasons and have achieved something that Wigan could only dream of on a very similar budget. They are a club on the rise and could realistically achieve a Europa League place next season. Interest from a club in the PL For McCarthy is a step up from playing against Yeovil next season. Have fun in the Championship!

COULD achieve a Europa league place. Wigan on the other hand already have by winning the FA CUP!

Yeah good one! I would rather be top half of premier league than in the championship and Europa league.

Only one way Albion will be going is down just like Wolves, only was lukaku's and odewingey' goals they was top half, poor second half of season will continue next season. i'm afraid my bet is on Albion to go down.

But to be fair they do actually have the europa league place whereas you are speaking theoretically depending on a number of variables that have many different possible outcomes, effecting the needed future place for you to gain 5th place next season, which means you have a little chance of gaining your hopeful outcome infact less than a 5% chance actually

05 Jun 2013 00:46:19
West Brom budget is a lot higher than Wigan. Wigan wage bill was around 38 million a year in 2011/2012. While West brom was around 50 million for the same season. 12 million extra in wages is huge difference. Its the equivalent of having 4 extra players on 57k a week.

03 Jun 2013 11:39:54
Bradford city put loan offer in for manchester united young midfielder Nick Powell

Wish I could belive that! would be amazing signing if true

If Nick were to play in L1 it would be back with Crewe.

03 Jun 2013 11:39:25
afc wimbledon and newly promoted mansfield town are keen on southend utd keeper paul smith both sides look set to bid for the 6ft 4 former southampton brentford and forest stopper

Mansfield are really keen but I think york city agreed a deal already just waiting for it to become public

03 Jun 2013 11:38:18
pne are set to sign Chris Humphrey

03 Jun 2013 11:37:12
Plymouth Argyle will learn today that Zimbabwean Onismor Bhasera has turned down a new contract at the club. Bhasera is expected to sign for Oxford United before the end of the week but is also being courted by League 1 side Shrewsbury Town after talks with both clubs.

Shrewsbury already have three senior players on the books who can play at left back

And Oxford have just signed a left back'

Which players

Oxford want 2 new left backs. Wilder has said that. Meades will play left sided centre midfield, more than left back. We are after another senior left back!
This isn't unbelievable

Joe Jacobson, Alex McQuade, Paul Parry

03 Jun 2013 22:25:55
Why would he go oxford when he can play in league 1 and the championship

Going to Bristol City,

03 Jun 2013 11:33:43
Alex McCarthy, Sean Morrison, Jem Karacan, Danny Guthrie and Adam Le Fondre have all told Nigel Adkins they want to stay at Reading next year and look to go back to the Premier League at their first attempt.

03 Jun 2013 11:31:43
Reading have made contact with released Arsenal youngster Jernade Meade about being their first choice left back next year. With Harte, Shorey and Joe Mills all departing they have no left back.

03 Jun 2013 11:30:06
Shrewsbury defender darren jones set for return to hometown club Newport County

Thank god for that, pub player, terrible footballer.

Possible to get his match fitness back?

Would command a fee as under contract for another 12 months plus Darren's currently injured and is not expected to be fit until Autumn.

Decent no nonsense centre half. Can't see him moving due to possible fee/long term injury.

03 Jun 2013 11:27:58
Huddersfield Town WILL NOT be signing James Vaughan this summer, it is believed that he is on the verge of signing for another, unnamed championship side. The terriers will now go all out to try and sign Will Grigg and Jonny Russel.

In that case James Vaughan is now officially the only player who is NOT signing for Huddersfield

On the verge? Clearly you have no idea that he's getting married in less than a week so I hardly think he'll have been racing around having talk with clubs now when he's has all summer after his honeymoon to decide on his career future

Russell is going to Derby Fact!

I'm hearing Leicester is his destination if they can offload other striking assets.

Gutted Town fan!

Thought it was all dragging on a bit too long, quite believable, but not the end of the world.

Noboddy will be signing vaughan for at least a couple of weeks, he's getting married in a few days then off on his honeymoon

He'd be incredibly foolish to go to Leicester even with the high wages he'd be offered. It'd just be the same as it is now at Norwich except he'd be on the bench for a team that continually fail to get to the prem rather than for a team who are established in the prem now. Think he should stay at the Canaries if he's not off to Town.

03 Jun 2013 11:25:13
Huddersfield Town have made a fresh bid for Walsall starlet Jamie Paterson, rumoured to be £900,000. Walsall recently rejected a bid of £750,000 from the terriers for the highly rated coventry born 21 year old.

As a Town fan, I doubt we'll have bid that much, or be intending to bid that upfront. Reckon £750k upfront would be the highest we'd offer with add-ons/sell on clause etc.

Then I think you would be turned away. Well I hope so!

03 Jun 2013 11:19:36
Very strong rumour coming from Sheffield United that they have rejected a bid from Huddersfield Town for highly rated centre half Harry Maguire, believed to be in the region of £600,000.

03 Jun 2013 11:18:08
Cheltenham Town will announce confirmation this week that Jamie Cureton has signed on a one-year deal. A deal for Torquay defender Brian Saah is thought to be close to being completed.

Seems to be true as local media has been saying it's been agreed as recent as todays newspaper.

Both have been stated several times in local media for CTFC, ECFC and TUFC over the last few weeks but it's about pen to paper now.

03 Jun 2013 11:18:00
Real Madrid want Bastien Schweinsteiger to replace Chelsea target Luka Modric.

03 Jun 2013 11:16:46
Sporting Lisbon are set to swoop for Cheltenham right back Sido Jombati. Jombati. Jombati is a former Sporting youth team player.

Oh course

Yeah because top half of the Portuguese first division is sido's ability, absolutely no way will this happen, lisbon have top internationals playing for them why would they want Sido?

Because he is class

One of the maddest rumours yet. He is class, but he isn't class enough to play in one of the European top flights.

I've just seen Chris Humphrey go in to the small white office on Deepdale Stadium car park!

He's going to be the new carpark attendant

Someone told him his career was in there.

Funny, but all he could see in that small white office was a bin

What could that mean?

03 Jun 2013 11:02:56
Torquay United will sign Jernade Meade by the end of the week.

That's a good'en considering he is on holiday in florida

03 Jun 2013 11:02:37
Defoe to sign for Norwich

Has Jermaine got a younger brother? Because we certainly won't be paying out the wages the established Defoe would command.

Would be a great signing

Love to see it happen but I highly doubt it will

This site needs another box, should read "believable", "unbelievable" and "laughable". I'd tick the last box for that rumour.

Would be a great signing

Heard about this possible with houghtons tottenham conections

Are you sure it was Defoe and not Defour?

This might be true. Apparently the Mirror has published a story in which Spurs are offering Defoe plus cash for Benteke. However I can't see Defoe fitting the Villa profile. If Defoe is on the move he might consider Norwich which is commutable and would link him up with Bassong and Hughton plus he'd add another dimension to City's attacking options. However I'd imagine that West Ham would be in for him and possibly Fulham and Palace. He has another year or two in him and knows where the back of the net is. Plus he needs to be playing. What a fantastic player he'd be for City. A signing on fee in lieu of some of his current wages and we could get him inline with our salaries and the fee wouldn't be silly due to his age. This one might have some legs to it.

03 Jun 2013 11:02:36
Ipswich are desperate to sign Yeovil striker Paddy Madden.

Form an orderly queue. Minimum bid £2. 5M.

Haha no way 2.5 million

Not for sale

Madden's under contract & we're under no pressure to sell. Therefore, it's going to take more than the piddling £1M-£1. 5M amounts mentioned by some rival supporters on here to prise him away from us. I'll stick with my minimum valuation of 2. 5M.

03 Jun 2013 10:54:18
Millwall are set to announce the appointment of former Falkirk and Hibernian manager John Hughes.
Hughes nearly worked wonders last season with an all but relegated Hartlepool United and impressed The Den board. The 48 year old is expected to sign a one year rolling contract in London.

I agree with the last comment, Laughable,

I want what your smoking.

03 Jun 2013 10:53:00
afc bournemouth keen on signing southampton midfielder richard chaplow and adam smith who had a loan spell with bournemouth last season.

Chaplow would be a great signing. Great player just not quite Prem standard. Hope Bournemouth do get him, would do better there than at reading imo

03 Jun 2013 14:07:49
chaplow would do a good job for
bournemouth
well worth signing

Chaplow should be signing for a championship club looking for promotion not relegation, qaulity player hopefully be back at burnley along with fox ;)

From a Bournemoith fans prospective, I do rate him. I think he's quite a tough nut so an ideal replacement for Bartley at last?

Haha yeah your right why would he want to join burnley a relagation and financial problems when he can join Bournemouth which will be mid table pushing for play offs

Been linked with Reading as well to link up with Adkins. Both clubs would be good for him.

03 Jun 2013 10:52:23
Udinese are looking at 22 year old Simon Makienok Christoffersen who is a forward from Denmark. He may well be loaned to Watford initially depending on the Ighalo and Ranegie's situation.

03 Jun 2013 10:48:21
Derby are still searching for 4 new players according to Sam Rush on the official site with 2 defenders (LB + CB) and a striker being the main priorities.

Rush also said we are looking at players who have Premier League and Championship experience so where this leaves Johnny Russell I don't know.

El-Abd (free - Brighton) at centre back and Craig Forysth (150k - Watford) at left back are thought to be the defenders.

They can have Carl Dickinson

We don't want carl dickinson

El - Abd is possibly the worst defender in the league

Who's Carl Dickinson?

Oh well. Every clubs loses players that's played there for years.

El-Abd won't be leaving Brighton, he's been offered a new contract

El abd won't go he will stay

Forsyth awful couldn't get a game at league 2 Bradford last year

El Abd to turn down new contract and leave his boyhood club and going to Middlesbrough :- (

upset Brighton fan

So, he's going to leave after he said "the only way he would leave Brighton, was if the manager didn't want him anymore. " a few months ago.

03 Jun 2013 10:41:59
Middlesbrough to be signing soon

Jose Baxter from Oldham
Eddie Oshodi from forest green

Both are being brought in to compete with the other young players for places on the team sheet.

I can see the Jose Baxter one happening

Utter rubbish baxter going nowhere

Baxter is too good to be sat on the bench for £1million

Boro will not sign any players to compete with our academy players due to hardly any money. If he had money to spend he would be improving the first team squad. He wouldn't spend it on academy players due to him thinking our academy players are talented anyway

We don't need jose baxter or eddie oshodi. both would be a waste of money.

03 Jun 2013 10:35:43
Febian Brandy has been offered a deal to stay at Walsall but will sign a 2yr deal with Yeovil this month.

Hope this is true good player

Hope this true, he's a quick little player who could offer something different out on the wing for yeovil

If he stays clear of injuries he is a devastating wide man whose only weakness is his finishing. Wins loads of penalties and makes defenders look stupid. Ideally he's the wide man in a front three, with one striker and two wingers who cut in.

As I say, if fit, would get into any League 1 team and most Championship outfits.

He lives in Manchester and can go out on a free, but pretty reluctant to go anywhere too far from home. Won't be at Yeovil next season

Unfortunately it's not true, he wants more money or a move north, Yeovil can offer him neither

03 Jun 2013 10:33:46
Wolves boss Kenny Jackett will make Shrewsbury winger Jon Taylor his first signing as manager. Was very keen on him in January when manager of Millwall and has now renewed interest in him. Yeovil also very interested and montitoring situation closely.

Strong rumour that Jon Taylor is heading for Derby County.

Why the hell didn't he sign him for Wall then he always did stuff like that "Oh I was really interested in that now really good player before everyone else was but decided not to buy him" KJ

There was a host of Championship and League 1 teams after him in January but Shrewsbury were commanding a high fee (inflated January prices) hence why a summer move looks likely.

Taylor going to Derby £150k + £50k on appearances

Dont throw random figures. This is going to tribunal. Taylors been at the club since he was a young teenager. Played a lot of games. Scored goals and has a high reputation. He will be worth more than 150k and add ons

03 Jun 2013 10:30:24
Afc wimbledon are set to swoop to sign Charlie Lee. The midfielder has just been released by gillingham and the dons are set to make a move.

03 Jun 2013 11:40:30
He's not been released, at least not on a free. He's got a year left on his contract so a fee will be required

03 Jun 2013 15:37:05
Charlie lee was a great player for POSH so as a POSH fan I know that he hasn't been released by gillingham he is just been put on the transfer list

Heard it was Northampton

Wimbledon can't afford £1800 a week and he is a league 1 player.

Well if seb browns on the reported 1500 a week and he's 3rd choice keeper wit a years experience under he's belt as a so called league player i'm sure we could find the money but it won't happen

No offence to Wimbledon, but Lee won't be going to Wimbledon. If anywhere it would be a Team like Northampton, or Portsmouth.

I don't want lee at AfcW. We have sammy Moore, Harry pell and Peter sweeney as well as a few youngsters.

Portsmouth maybe BUT Northampton. no. Hardly a big club. Smaller than the Gills.

How can seb be a third choice keeper if we only have two?

He was 3rd choice last year and were looking for a new keeper

05 Jun 2013 15:16:54
Again I'd doubt we'd be in a position to pay those sort of wages and certainly not a transfer fee. But while Pompey, with their crowds, would certainly be a more likely destination, I'm not sure why Northampton would be?

03 Jun 2013 10:26:58
Luton's Andre Gray to Mansfield

03 Jun 2013 10:24:20
just heard that posh are on the verge of signing arsenal youngster serge gnabry on loan for the season

03 Jun 2013 10:22:54
rumours going round bradford that chairman mark lawn about to quit club

Why? Don't be silly.

This may just be a case of two and two making 17! A combination of Lawn's wife being seriously ill, his loan having been repaid according to a credit check on the club and his co-chairman having raised a few quid from the sale of one of his businesses may well have created the overall wrong impression. The time to unpack the bunting is when Lawn confirms this!

03 Jun 2013 10:20:04
Russell slade is very interested in Aaron Mclean. Slade is looking to sign a top quality forward to add more goals to his side and mclean could be the man.

Don't think he left orient on the best of terms, so I can't see this happening. Plus he's a championship striker

03 Jun 2013 10:21:14
New wolves manager kenny jacketts first signing for the club could be danny s***tu if he can persuade s***tu to drop a division

03 Jun 2013 12:28:35
s***tu just signed a new 2 year deal with the club. He appears to be very happy at the club and is a firm fans favourite. Soon to be club captain so I can't see him dropping a division and signing for Wolves

Not gona happen he has jus signed a 2 year deal with millwall

03 Jun 2013 10:18:08
Darren bent to sign for west midlands rivals west brom for £4m?

I'd be happy

Why write a rumour that ends with a question mark?

03 Jun 2013 10:17:35
Charltons Danny Green is in talks with Leyton Orient. Loan deal for 6 months. he's very interested to get first team football and orient are his ideal location as he is from Harlow

Always liked Green, and would certainly do a job. O's have also been linked with Nicky Bailey.

Dont rule-out Ricky Holmes signing a two year deal either. Players won't commit themselves to anyone at pressent. The real transfer activity will come next month.

03 Jun 2013 13:22:36
Would be believable if the player knew anything about it.

Not in talks on Holiday!!

Danny green is a top player. Would be a quality addition to the team.

Would be good if true. Top player

Well these days with agents and mobile phones deals could be done with just a signture needed so could be true, time will tell.

Not happening

Leyton Orient were given a knock-back the other week, when they enquired about Danny Whitehead of Stockport. They were told at least two premiership Clubs are chasing him. Ah Well.

Danny green top player being waisted at Charlton, negative defensive football. Needs to be playing in a creative ball passing side. same as cedric evina, and dale Stephens. why would Charlton want to release these players, green & Stephens still have a season left on their contracts.

Maybe Green doesent figure in Charlton's plans. a loan deal may possibly suit both player and club, assuming he wants to stay in London.

Orient play decent football. Green would fit in well

03 Jun 2013 10:17:01
If chelsea do let romelu lukaku out on loan next season. Sunderland have now entered the race to sign him ( express & star )

Lukaku will not be leaving Chelsea on loan next season. Mourinho has already said he see's him as the new Drogba.

03 Jun 2013 10:15:26
James harper is set to join Scunthorpe from Doncaster for free despite harper having another year on his contract he is surplus to requirements also recently released Jordan ball will sign for chesterfield and paddy Mullen will sign for York

Haha really hope scunny get harper non league football for you soon :)

Lukaku says he wants to join a club on loan that'll offer European football. Cheap-day tickets on a ferry is as far Sunderland will get to a European excursion.

Harper is terrible, good luck with that one scunny haha

Paddy Mullen is a bit out of touch at the moment as he has not played for a long time.

03 Jun 2013 10:14:37
- tyrone Barnett is on the verge of joining his former club Crawly town on loan and with a view to a permenat move. POSH will replace him with Brett Pitman and then will also replace Mccann or rowe with luke freeman

Why would Bournemouth let pitman leave after helping get them promoted? And why would pitman want to leave to sign for a team in a lower league?

03 Jun 2013 10:10:46
Mark Gower set to complete a free transfer to Charlton today, 3 June, having been released by Swansea.

Gower will sign a one year deal.

Best of luck a great player
Wicklowjack

03 Jun 2013 09:48:08
derby county have put a bid of 1.2 million for yeovil striker paddy madden which might temp yeovil to sell. if yeovil sell carlisle will be intitled to 50% of the deal.

"Temp Yeovil to sell. " You must be kidding! Now we're in the Championship Madden automatically becomes worth around £2. 5M. A good season for Madden would see him valued at around £5M. Madden's under contract and we're under no pressure to sell.

No way. If yeovil keep him and he proves himself in the championship then prem will come sniffing next summer.

As a Carlisle fan he is worth more than £1.2 million we sold joe garner with a broken leg for that, he is worth £2 million is yeovil sell any cheaper we will be pi**ed.

Derby fan here. Sorry we don't want him.

There a lot of strikers in the championship who have played well in league one but done naff all in the championship and that doesn't mean there worth 2.5m so don't start thinkin because you are in the championship you players are worth double 2.5m is a stupid price for an 'okay' league one striker, rhodes is a quality player worth 5m madden isn't as good as him

Lol, why has his value jumped up just for being in the Championship? He's not had a game yet! He might be terrible at this level.

Either way, I'd rather have Russell any day of the week.

Carlisle do not have a sell on for Paddy Madden fact

An 'okay' league one striker hah! what do you call a 'good' striker then? top scorer in the league in half a season and you class him as 'okay'?

04 Jun 2013 16:15:41
his value hasn't really jumped up but being in the championship means it would take a higher bid for Yeovil to consider selling

Carlisle rarely sell players without sell on so Paddy Madden having scored so may on loan then shipped out at xmas, he will have a sell on and everyone round carlisle reckon it is 40-50%

03 Jun 2013 09:45:36
Russian Newspapers are reporting that Bayer Leverkusen from Germany and West ham united from England are leading the chase for balzs dzsudzsk who is a speedy skillfull goal scoring winger from Hungary. TRUE! Andy carroll to seal the deal with west ham once personal terms have been agreed. Newcastle finally state categorically they are NOT willing to pay £15m Liverpool are asking.

03 Jun 2013 09:41:17
No Transfers will happen until management issue is sorted. Brighton are rejecting every offer until the issue is resolved. New contract will not be signed until then.

Gus will stay. If he had "breached his contract" that would be an immediate sackable offence. Paul Barber stated that rumours are unfounded and unfair.

Gus and Bloom in meeting this week to agree on a 5 year strategy for investment. Once assurances are in place, BHA to give statement and Gus will apologise and pledge his future to the club.

Stephen Dobbie's signed for Palace. tv website.

Stephen Dobbie's transfer deal was agreed before this occurred which is why that went through

Dobbie deal already agreed before Gus' actions. Gus is too proud to apologise so won't happen

From Brighton fan so players will be coming and going to different clubs while we sit on our hands and wait for Poyet to decide where he wants to go

03 Jun 2013 09:35:45
I am communicating via all transfer pages to keep West Brom fans updated with regards to our summer plan. This morning at 8am, a meeting was conducted with Jeremy Peace and the Board along with Steve Clarke. Steve has put forward a list of players and has requested support to gain the services of at least 2. Non surprisingly, Steve had a long list and the names on it were:
Mbokani, Callum Mcmanaman, Shaun Maloney, Franco di Santo, Scott Sinclair, Romelu Lukaku, Carlton Cole, Sebastian Coates, Stephen Kelly, Tom Ince and James McArthur.
Please note that Steve has drawn up plans for next season and he wishes to make 1 addition to each part of the team ie. Defence, Midfield and Attack.
Mbokani is likely once Odemwingie is sold to help fund the fee and wages.
Mcmanaman is likely to attract further attention from other higher clubs.
Maloney is his favourite and most desirable.
Di Santo and Carlton Cole and last resorts.
Sinclair - Peace has said contact with his agent will be required to discuss a pay cut to join the Hawthorns before any formal talks can begin.
Lukaku would be another loan deal.
Kelly and Coates are to bolster the defence with Liam Ridgewell surplus to requirements should Kelly be signed (Unsure of possibility)
Tom Ince is favouring Liverpool but Clarke wants an approach to be made regardless.
McArthur will want to stay in the Premier league and Steve knows that. The problem facing any Premier League side is Dave Whelan will want to limit his outgoing players to mount a challenge for the Premiership next season.

Hope this clears all West Brom news up.

04 Jun 2013 12:30:13
Isnt Clarke away on his hold atm?

More than likely as usual Albion won't sign any players we have been linked to!

As always Albion do their business under the radar and the real rumours tend to surface right before a deal is about to be done!

Steve Clarke is on holiday?

03 Jun 2013 09:34:26
Darren Carter due to sign for Port Vale.

Marlon Pack continues to be linked with more and more clubs, but the mention of several Championship clubs is likely to indicate that he's going to the Champ. Would he be in the starting 11 of a Champ side?

Herd this carter deal nailed on anyone tell me if he any good?

03 Jun 2013 09:10:01
Dundee United are on the verge of clinching One year loan deals for Former favourites Noel Hunt from Reading and David Goodwillie from Blackburn Rovers.
Negotiations are said to be at an advanced stage

Would be amazing if true :)

03 Jun 2013 13:10:59
pretty sure negotiations are non existant with reading, as hunts contract has expired, so why would they be talking to reading instead of directly to hunt? just a made up rumour, that you need to check your facts on

03 Jun 2013 13:23:38
What a load of rubbish, to many players leave, fail elsewhere
N return to former clubs ie Hibernian players

03 Jun 2013 14:07:15
Noel Hunt has been released by Reading. So can't see a loan being viable!

EastStand_Elite says yous are talking utter Nish. About hunt ;D {Ed029's Note - Brighton were favourites to get Hunt. Unsure where he stands with the Poyet situation.

03 Jun 2013 09:02:18
Dundee United are eyeing up bringing their former midfield player Mark Kerr back to Tannadice as a replacement for Willo Flood, who has joined Aberdeen after His release from city rivals Dundee.

03 Jun 2013 09:01:34
Bradford looking at Brian Jenson and Scott Flinders if Matt Duke leaves for Southend

Matt duke retired we need a number 1 keeper to compete with mac not old has beens

05 Jun 2013 13:59:01
Duke hasn't retired. He should but he hasnt

03 Jun 2013 08:52:47
Emile. sinclair to southend utd the pacy forward looks to. sign 1 year deal.

Unlikely, is he leaving peterborough? If so could get a league 1 side

05 Jun 2013 10:03:26
Peterbrough are league 1

03 Jun 2013 08:43:29
Barry robson set to sign today or tomorrow and aberdeen have also made an enquiry for a loan move for David goodwillie with a view of making it permanent.

03 Jun 2013 08:25:56
Norwich getting Aubameyang from st ettiene for 8 mil

I don't see Norwich paying £16M for 2 strikers, having already forked out £8M on RvW (Marquee Signing). I don't see them forking that out again.

Would be great, but not sure he would be that cheap and there would be competition from teams playing in Europe.

So he's snubbing Swansea because he wants Champions League football, and he decide to join us instead. I don't think so. Yes please though!

I wish!

Why not? People don't realise that RvW was January transfer kitty. hence 15-25m available for this summer otbc

Is this true please say it is

Saint-Etienne striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has confirmed his desire to return to AC Milan, some 18 months after quitting the club.

He wants to go to AC Milan

We won't get PEA. but RVW was last years transfer budget. this years starts anew with est 30m (-2m for garrido)

03 Jun 2013 08:13:58
QPR looking to sign Ebanks-Blake on a free transfer
to bolster their attacking options. Redknapp also has
an eye on Charlie Austin; the club see him as the man who can fire them back into the premier league however they might be priced out of a move as Fernandes is looking to restructure the clubs transer policy following their relegation.

03 Jun 2013 08:13:06
Phil Parkinson will use old links with Arsenal to try to sign Conor Henderson, Sanchez Watt & Jernade Meade when there contracts expire this month.

How many more times do we have to say that all three players are being released by Arsenal and are free agents! I just wish people would know what they are talking about!

03 Jun 2013 13:33:34
What old Arsenal links?.

03 Jun 2013 07:53:25
CSKA Moscow have confirmed that Honda will be leaving the club this summer and Ncfc have been linked before. Any chance we could be in for him?

He should join cardiff because if he's leaving moscow this season he should join cardiff because we're looking for a quality centre midfield and honda is just the player we're looking for!

He will go to Liverpool. He's been linked with them for a while

03 Jun 2013 02:46:16
Diego capel is set to join Swansea City with a bid accepted around 5million
jack4life

03 Jun 2013 02:05:40
Hearing Febian Brandy is about to agree a 2yr deal with Yeovil after his contract with Walsall expires.

03 Jun 2013 02:02:14
Walsall look set to lose three key players in the next month. Jamie Paterson will eventually join Huddersfield for around £1mil. Both Will Grigg and Febian Brandy will snub contract offers in favour of joining new clubs. Will Grigg has interest from Norwich, Southampton and Bournmouth, whilst Brandy is almost certain to agree a 2yr deal with Yeovil.

Derby would be a great move for him.

03 Jun 2013 01:54:58
Derby, Yeovil and Coventry have offered a contract to Scott Arfield (formerly of Huddersfield). Yeovil looking like most likely destination.

Rule Derby out, we don't need a midfielder at the moment.

03 Jun 2013 01:51:43
Mark Richards is expected to sign for Rotherham United by the end of the week in a deal believed to be worth 100K, Chesterfield will be happy to lose him of there Wage bill as very unaffective last season

Can't see this happening tbh, evans gave him the cold shoulder over his greedy wage demands last season, and he's hardly proven himself at league two level, never mind league one!

If Rotherham paid 100k and we also got his alledged wages off the books that would be a storming deal,
Sadly I doubt it!

No thanks

No disrespect but we don't want him!

03 Jun 2013 00:00:24
Larnell Cole of Manchester United will go on a season long loan to one of Tranmere and Crewe. Most likely to be Crewe with the Nick Powell connections.
