But I know David Burke, who is one of the main scouts in the development setup at Southampton.
He's confirmed that we've had a bid accepted for Jack Cork (which is common knowledge)...we offered the player a good deal (around the time of the U21 game at St Mary's) but he's not committing to anyone yet - David believes he may be waiting to see if any other offers come up, but the club have given him until the end of this week (when we re due to go to Switzerland) - so we'll know either way.
Nugent has been on the radar since the end of the season and is an option we are seriously considering pursing.
We haven't approached Risse (tabloid rubbish) but we have made a bid for a young Italian full back- Andrea Rossi. I think he said he played for Seina?
He also said we're focusing our efforts on players abroad, he feels they are better priced and offer a bigger choice. He thinks the CMS deal was overpriced and was one of the reasons Saints never went in for him, and also one of the reasons we re focusing on foreign talent.(6)(6)

Bristol Rovers had a bid accepted for Norwich's Cody Mcdonald, however talks broke down with the striker because of wage demands and the players desire to play at a hire level.
Rovers are still in the market for a striker to replace the outgoing Jo Kuffour (Wycombe Wanderers). They are now looking to the loan market to solve this problem with Blackburns Tom Hitchcock at the top of Paul Buckles list.

According to the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, a £2m-plus package has been accepted for the former Manchester United trainee.
The 23-year-old handed in a transfer request last week, with the Canaries one of a number of clubs thought to be waiting in the wings.
Pilkington, who broke a leg against Rochdale in March, scored 14 goals last season, including a run of six in consecutive games, and was a firm fans' favourite at the Galpharm Stadium. He signed a contract extension to 2014 on Christmas Eve last year but now wants a move.(6)(0)

Brighton boss Gus Poyet plans to build his team around Craig Mackail-Smith after completing the signing of the in-demand striker from Peterborough.
Mackail-Smith has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Amex Stadium for a fee which is understood to be in the region of £2.5million initially and rising to a possible £3.2million.
The Scotland international was one of the most sought-after players in the Football League after netting 35 goals for Posh as they secured promotion via the League One play-offs.

The Pirates have already had one bid for the 24-year-old rejected, but sources in Devon have confirmed that a second has been accepted by the Gulls.
Zebroski, who was Torquay's top scorer last season with 15 goals, still had a year left on his Plainmoor contract but submitted a transfer request last week and has been heavily linked with a move to the Memorial Stadium in recent weeks.
