Derby have signed Watford (Udinese) wide player Craig Forsyth for an initial month with a view to a permanent move in the summer for around 500K. Derby County will now officially be known as Watford B

Its only on loan to cover for Jamie ward not anything more to permanent and just because we have one player dosent make us Watford b

This guy seems an alright signing, not a bad goal scoring record as a winger. Will be in the squad to face Cardiff tomorrow as long as there is FA clearing.

Just wondering why derby will be known as Watford B?

Congrats to Watford who have done really well this season, some great football and the best passing team we came up against this season at your place. At home we won 5-1 and then you signed loads of players from italy on loan. Make use of that loophole and sign all your good players i. e. Vydra before the FA stop this unlimited foreign loan players.

I have no quarrels with Zola or your owners it is not cheating! they have just found a loophole and exploited it greatly.

At derby all our players are from the UK and Ireland, nearly all but 2. I think we follow in watfords footsteps and get some creative foreign players in. This player came from scotland, players we are attracted too because they have low wages and the clubs do not demand a high transfer fee.

I think this is a short loan. Why Watford B? Good luck to WFC for finding this loophole. Don't think Clough is a lover of foreign players, sticks to the Celtic nations. Though he hasn't bought in any Welsh players I think. Why?

Yeah we exploited that 'dont break any rules' loophole. Any other club can get international loan.

Few Derby fan would have known any of watford loans signings before they came, probably luaghing when we signed a 19 year old who had a poor scoring record and terrible injury record.
Stop complaining and carry on being mediocre with our below average players who have been onlaon to league 2 clubs

I do disagree with the term 'loophole'. It implies that everything not explicitly labelled as illegal is a 'loophole'.

Watford are not using any loopholes there the first club to realise that if you do this you will get into the prem leauge, its genius really why on earth clubs like Leeds & Lecister don't do this is beond me

Yep totally agree you guys will win championship I think, and I speak as a very envious but wondering why the fk didn't we do that! Leicester fan :- ( football wise your top manager wise top and obviously chairman wise top that guy has seen the light I wish you all the best lads, not a loophole because that sounds seedy it's doing the best for the club the fans and the finance an I for one can't fault you x

If we can take something at Hull and Leicester I think we'll go up. Play-Offs otherwise!

Bolton to sign Fulham's Kerim Frei on loan now Steve De Ridder has gone back to Southampton. {Ed003's Note - When did De Ridder go back?}

Frei is seen as replacement foe the injured Mark Davies. I haven't seen anything mentioned about De Ridder going back to Southampton?

De Ridder has not returned to Southampton, Bolton want Frei as a replacement for Mark Davies.

De ridder had a 1 month loan, he has gone back.

05 Mar 2013 21:39:33
De Ridder had gone back to Southampton at the end of his four week loan. Frei is a winger so will not replace Mark Davies, more likely Eagles will move more central and Frei will cover the void left by Eagles. Hope that clears up a few things.

Tim Sherwood, Eric Black, Keith Curle and Paul dickov are the four in the shortlist for manager at coventry city.

2 OUT OF THEM 4 FOR ME HAS TO BE DICKOV OR BLACK AS CURLE AND SHERWOOD WOULD UPSET FANS

Stephen Pressley favourite even money

Waggott said at the Trust Meeting last night that the reported four you mention are not the four in the frame. Time will tell if it is more spin.

It should be Pressley he's brilliant.

I would still love to see dion dublin given a chance

06 Mar 2013 18:06:44
What about Adkins?

Its going to be pressley I really don't want this appointment I can't see how he can be a success, what are his achievements in football as a manager?

Cardiff to make a move in the summer for Joe Ledley
Arsenal and United both want Victor Wanyama
Norwich are again going to make a move for Gary Hooper
Hull want to sign Matt Kilgallon
Crystal Palace want Gary Taylor Fletcher and Alex Baptiste
Charlton want to complete a swap deal for Bradley Wright Phillips and Clayton Donaldson with Brentford
Burnley want to sign Wes Foderingham as a replacement for Lee Grant

Would never welcome Ledley back. In any case he seems to have found the right level of opposition where he is now.

Redbird

Would the Cardiff fans forgive him and have him back!!

Your right he did find his level playing for a big club and in cl, Ledley won't be going anywhere for he is a Celtic Bhoy and is going to sign a new contract. Celtic went going to let him go

Cardiff won't go for Joe Ledley as I doubt that he is premiership quality but Adam Matthews would be a good addition as full backs are on Malkys shopping list.

BWP is out of contract in summer so swap deal won't happen

No way anyone is going to get Adam Mathews! He is going to be a Celtic Bhoy for many years and will only move to a big club top 4 epl or Europe clubs. He is yet another great find and talent Celtic has produced

Hull get linked with Kilgallon every year!

TBH I don't seee how he would add anything extra to the squad. Even as back up, Mcshane has been playing brilliantly this season, Faye too (when fit). Chester & Hobbs are two of the best centre backs in the Championship and are probably better than most pairings in the bottom half of the Premiership too.

After last nights debacle, IF we go up I think we should focus every effort on a Keeper. Stockdale's been good but not good enough for the Prem.

Get your facts right Buoy. We developed Matthews before you pinched him off us.

Swansea City defender Alan Tate's loan move to Huddersfield Town is back on

God i hope this is true

Doubt it is when we have Peter Clarke who in my opinion is slightly better if you think about it.

Peter Clarke is awful

Your right there peter clarke is awful dreadfull even out of his depth when will the manager see that

I've thought about it, and NO Peter Clarke isn't better. !

If all you needed to get to the top in football was guts, passion and determination Peter Clarke would be playing in the premier league. Unfortunately you also need skill and pace, say no more. Tate isn't that much better IMO but has experience at a higher level so could be a better option than sticking with Clarkey.

Spoke to Tatey this morning, he knows nothing of this!

We can all see the ambition of our dean now, he seems to want us playing league one next season. if the only player we have got since robins took over his the worst striker in the world theo Robinson whot chance his he giving us, seems like he has spent his budget and not willing to give anymore

If moaning town fans don't like what the lord dean is doing. get your brass out and get going

Stop moaning about the chairman, and start supporting him and the team. pathetic

Stop trying to kick Dean Hoyle, for one he has been unwell and has missed quite a few games, without him and his backing we would be in deep doo doo. If we win on Saturday we are probably one win needed in nine to stay up and better save the money for a squad overhaul in the summer. Lose on Saturday and at Leeds and we still have time in the loan window to strenghten. Think it through folks, it's not rocket science.

We have the two worst strikers in the world then Robinson and run run run without a clue Novak!

OMG! Peter Clarke is our rock at the back! The best captain town have had in a long time ,Leader!

In response to the above - No pace, can't stay on his feet and gets turned by anyone with an ounce of pace. A little overwhelmed this season I am afraid

Huddersfield Town are wanting Southampton midfielder Richard Chaplow on loan till end of season.

Wanting is different from getting, not going to happen

Might happen we have 4 other centre mids and lallana can play there.

Derby County are close to agreeing new deals for:

Striker - Jamie Ward
Central Midfielder - Craig Bryson
Right Back - John Brayford

John Brayford, whom Derby County fans hold is very high regard is one of the championships best right backs, owing to great premier league interest given his age of 25. The ever present is also an accomplished centre half.

The new contract for him will concern the interested parties of West Ham, Swansea and Cardiff. As naturally they will have to pay a larger transfer fee and Brayfords representatives will demand a higher wage.

One of the main reasons why Brayford did not leave in January is because it is widely known Derby will not sell their young talent for a low price and secondly Brayford has never left the local area and has his friends close (previous clubs crewe and burton albion)

Therefore what this means is that the interested clubs instead of paying the 2 million required in January will have to pay more. This is all presuming contract talk to not break down but I undertand contract negotiations are close.

Joe Hanks is set to sign a 2 year contract with Cheltenham Town. The youth product has been scouted by premiership clubs however he wants to progress with the promotion chasing Robins.
Also set to sign extensions are Cheltenham youth teamers Ed Williams, Zackary Kotwica, Keiron Thomas and Michael Gonzalo.
Kotwica has caught the eye of Everton, whilst Williams has interested Derby County.

Derby midfielder Paul Coutts is interesting Watford manager Gianfranco Zola after his eye catching performance when the two clubs met recently.

You can have him! he's not a RM that's for sure! we need a winger

04 Mar 2013 13:13:47
Hes played good this season but naturally is a centre midfielder good skill and pace but should be scoring more and in desperate need of a rest but lack of other options has forced him to continue

Coutts was bought to derby for very little money 170k I believe.

He would definitely suit Watfords style of football as he is not a RM with pace. Instead very good at passing and moving, with excellent ball retention.

Recently dipped in form at Derby but still an excellent signing considering the price paid for him. Plenty of assists. (also for the interested Watford fans all his assists this season have been along the floor something Watford are renowned for as they don't play route 1 and score headers)

Only downsides are his lack of pace, willingness to work hard for the team.

I would say if Zola wanted Coutts anything over 600k would be certainly be accepted. However I think you could potentially get him for around 400k.

Derby Fan

I'm 100% certain this is untrue.

If he is unable to rest that means that he is too improtant to the team so he must be good, never heard of him but I wouldn't buy from Derby there like us they think a 1 million pound player is worth 5 million and so on

04 Mar 2013 19:56:39
hope derby sell because preston have 30% sell on clause also he as admitted if westley was not made manager he would of stayed at preston

Cassetti, Anya, Pudil, Forsyth, Yeates, Murray, Doyley, even could play out there Forestieri, why on earth would we need another wide player?

04 Mar 2013 11:08:17
Burnley to sign Kevin Davies in the summer on a free transfer, Sean Dyche knows Davies well from there playing days at Chesterfield.
Dean Marney & Lee Grant both to join Notts Forest on free transfers, Charlie Austin, Chris McCann, Keith Treacy and Brian Jensen will all leave in the summer aswell

So you think we'll get rid of our first choice central midfield and both keepers do you?

Possibly Treacy and McCann but the rest NO

Nvm first choice keepers or defence that's our full squad were (supposedly) getting rid of!

Kevin Davies will be a Chesterfield player for 2013/2014 you see.
