Just been told from my reliable Ipswich Source that they are to complete 2 transfers this weeek.
Firstly, the long transfer saga over Steve Davies from Derby is finally set to be over. A fee of 700k, with the usual add on's, which will eventuallytake the deal to 1million was accepted yesterday, and Davies is expected at Portman Road on monday for talks and a medical, all set to be confirmed by Wednesday.
Secondly, Kelvin Wilson of Celtic is set to join ITFC, for a fee believed to be in the region of 225l. Although late interest from Nottingham Forest, im told he has no interest in returning and only wants to move to Portman Road.
Both deals will be done by friday, heard it hear first.
No chance with Davies.We want payments up front,so don't lie.
Im not lieing, its what ive been told. No reason to doubt my source, who has told me about every ITFC signing this summer before they were linked with in the media. Ive know since March that ITFC were interested in Loach and Chambers.
Im not saying your not signing davies but clough just said we will give him a run out with the reserves agianst belper.

Davies has never said he wants to move down south. He said he wants to move for family reasons. different things completely.
I've been told that Jewells main plan is to try to break the 15 game Watford hoodoo this season - which is a major embarrassment - so he is exclusively looking at Watford players - so having signed 3 duds (Ellington / Loach and Priskin) his next targets are Iwelumu / Jenkins and Doyley.
Well I frankly doubt you'll get a million pounds for him, if I'm honest.

Davies will be sold for the best offer DCFC receive at or above their valuation. Whilst they would certainly like £1 million, or even more, I doubt that they would want to keep him for the season and then get nothing. Unless there are 2 or 3 clubs bidding, I expect anything above £500k will be accepted eventually.

Heard a rumour round Boundary park that former striker Shefki Kuqi is in talks with league one side Walsall.
Kuqi played 40 games last season scoring 11 for the Latics.
Kuqi left Oldham following the expiry of his contract on 1 July 2012 as the club could not afford to keep him for the 2012-2013 campaign. As the Latics wanted to use the money elsewhere more so than just on one player.
He had the option of a new contract at oldham but he turned it down
By the way PLAYERSHARE payed his wages until Xmas then the club payed his wages. So he's not on a cheap wage so doubt he will sign for Walsall. He tired after 20 games and never got it back again. Again you know nothing writing these rumours.
He is in Finland with his father who is ill and his wife is pregnant so good luck with that one.
Have him! He proved he's passed it after half the season. Couple of decent goals but not got the pace for league 1 now!
He has family issues that distracted his second half of the season and he's lost too much pace

Confirmed signing of richard hughes for free, because he left pompey last year when they got into money troubles. Need to get back match fitness and prove himself this time at bournemouth, as previous he left letting afcb down. At his age he will spend most of the 2 year contract in the medical room.
We let him go cause he was rubbish! Simple as that, and wasent worth keeping on. He wasent very good when we first signed him let alone now. He will add nothing to your team other than an extra wage and another warm space on the bench. but you'll soon find that one out....
I think most Bourenmouth fans arn't expecting much from this player anyway & really shore why we sign him.

West Bromwich Albion have ended their interest in Wolfsburg striker Patrick Helmes. The German striker came off injured during their friendly defeat 2-0 to the hands of Manchester City on Saturday.
The striker faces 6 months on the sidelines after scans show he has a torn cruciate ligament injury.
It seemed the Baggies would only pursue a deal if one of their star strikers left, after reports Odemwingie and Cox are gaining plenty of interest.
West Brom have ended their interest and might review him next summer once he has recovered fully.

NCFC have at least £12M left to buy players this transfer window, where are you getting ideas that we have no transfer budget left, Crofts was sold because he could not cut it in premier, likewise I suspect Martin will be sold on if we can get a realistic price for him, I also suspect Lappin, Ward and Jackson could be sold on provided the right price can be achieved and replacements can be brought in.
Houghton is still evaluating exactly who he is prepared to sell on and will only release players when he is certain of his targets.

Well it doesn't exactly work like that. you dont just get a cheque from the PL and broadcasters in July and say there you go. we might have 6mill or so available b4 september for 2-3players. then by january should be similar to last season when we spent around 5.5mill. but the whole sum will not be available now. payments are spread throughout the course of a season and we are clearing our outstanding debts this year so we wont advance these payments.
anyone sold will just add to this transfer budget.
Rhodes won't leave Huddersfield in this summer transfer window, he'll play half a season in the championship and people will evaluate his performance and then start to think about bidding for him.
Realistically Norwich will either stick to there current squad and keep the 12m for January or get one more player in before the season starts.
As much as i would love it i cant see sinclair coming

Not really appalling. considering the way we've battered middlesborough in recent years, i think your appalling defence needs all the help it can get.
Our defence was so appauling we got to the playoff final unlike Middlesbrough.

If I am not mistaken the first of those two Blackpool spent in the Premier League where they were no doubt one of the favourites to get relegated. And so they did, but they - and their defence in particular - put up a great fight all season and especially the last day at Manchester United which, although I am not a Blackpool supporter I remember well. And the second season Blackpool finished in the play off places and went on to the play off final where they narrowly lost out to West Ham United. Plus, they kept a clean sheet when they beat us 3 - 0 at their place and furthermore a defence is not made up of one person. It tends to be 4 people but depending on the formation could be 5 or 3, so you cannot blame any of Blackpool's defensive mistakes on one man.

I find it embarrassing when you have to state all the things you have won in the whole clubs history (NOT EVEN RECENT HISTORY IN MOST CASES). Sure Middlesbrough have WAY WAY better facilities, structure and budget than Blackpool yet you are still competing in the same division as them and they have been competing to a much higher level regardless of your opinions.
In my opinion a club the size of Middlesbrough should be a top half of the Prem club and they are not and therefore failing there expectations.
A club the size of Blackpools should be league 1/ bottom of the championship but they are competing (SUCCESSFULLY) in reaching the Prem.
As you can see from these examples size of club is irrelevant so stop bringing it up, over the last 3 years Blackpool have been superior to Middlesbrough and this is from a neutral point of view.(WEST BROM FAN) {Ed003's Note - Thanks,we can now end this}

Woodgate played 23 league games for stoke last year. Not bad considering he's injury prone. If fit he would stroll into ur team like ours. Have to disagree with last poster, the size of a club makes a big difference to which players a club can attracxt. Also from season after this, when all clubs in div 1 wil be allowed to spend only a set percentage of Revenue, it will make ALL the difference.

As a bournemouth fan i am totally with pompey a very proud club that things will get sorted before the 11th. We your small local rivals have been on the decline for decades, came within the width of a whisker going out of business, point reductions and relegation the norm. It was the fans that did not only put money in the bucket but got out and made it work. Eventualy the board got their act together and with supporters backing we have clawed ourselves back from the brink. We cleared our debts and made us viable for investment for which we are now enjoying the fruits. Don't let the pompey dream die, you might have to go further down but hold on and keep yourself alive.
