Bolton have accepted a 15 milion bid from man united for gary cahill plus adds on and diouf who i never heard of or welbeck could be coming in the opposite direction on loan. botlon will bid chris eagles and a return of ben haim could be on the cards who could be a short term replacement for cahil but man united bid for cahill is accepted that's the defiently rumour sorry about spelling should be confirmed soon.

Roy Hodgson to meet with Joe Cole tomorrow. From what i hear and with Liverpool being the new favorite with the bookies(33's to 4/5), it looks like he'll be unveiled as a Liverpool player as soon as tomorrow night. Hope its untrue as i don't think he's a top player anymore, but it looks very likely.

We all know Gallas and Silvestre are leaving on Free Transfers this summer. This leaves Wenger with only 3CB's, Vermaelen, Campbell and Djourou. Two CB's are expected to join and they are Koscienly £8m and Taylor £5m. If Maicon Follows Mourinho then expect Inter to Bid £16m for Sagna. If this happens Vanderwiel £8m will be signed. Vanderwiel wants to come to Arsenal and has said it in public. "Ive heard alot about Arsenal, Mr Wenger and the Premier League, hopefully Vanpersie can put in a good word for me". Wenger now knows a top team like Arsenal needs a Good GK if there gna win anything, that's why Schwarzer £2.5m or James are wanted. These two are quality keepers and have at least 2 more years left at the highest level so Szczesny can step up and take the No.1 spot. J.Cole is wanted to add experiance to the squad and Diaby and Denilson can be used as DM and cover for Song rather than them playing in attacking roles. Sometimes Arsenal neeed someone who's more direct and can take someone on and change the game if its not going well. Thats why A.Young is wanted by Wenger to take the LW position and compete with Arshavin. With Eduardo leaving and Vanpersie being injury prone, Ashley Young will be a good additoin to the squad.

Ledley wages to be matched by any offer he gets elsewhere, up to a maximum 30k, celts hoping the lure of medals, european football & 60k crowds should be enough to entice him. One thing i did hear from the discussions yesterday were that he is pushing on a £5m release clause should an EPL team come in for him.
Bellamy: don't know what to make of this any more, Bellamy was reported as saying he didn't want to play in England or Europe, and there were only 2 teams he would join, logical thinking meand Cardiff and Celtic. Man City have offered both celts & cardiff a 60% help with wages, with a view to a permanent move in january should he perform to either teams satisfaction. problem is, celtic can't afford the £7m+ transfer, and cardiff can't afford even 40% of his wages..could be stalemate unless he lowers his demands, or city cut their ties.
Keane: very doubtful, although has spent a few days with Desmond in ireland recently, and most of his furniture is still in the glasgow house he was renting. despite what most people are saying, Harry wants him off the wage bill but can't afford to take much of a hit on his transfer fee, which then creates a problem..who will pay?
Campbell is a cert, and has been assured that BIG names will follow him. wenger will not budge on a 1 year contract, and has averted his attention to a german defender, thought to be Mertesacker. Although a decision won't be made until after his honeymoon, he is apparently already given Lennon his word, which he has been using to entice the likes of Ledley, Bellamy, etc.
McGeady will be sold, with villa looking favourites to sign him, although Villa arent prepared to pay the £11m+ asking price, and trust me, that is the price, they are willing to put up 34m & petrov, who has still failed to settle in the midlands even after all these years.

Just getting up to date with footy news after holiday up here in Scotty land.
Good news for Chelsea fansHibs have released keeper Yves Makalamby after 2 years of calamity keeping for Hibs ( check out youtube! ), but he's not downhearted, 'cos he claims that Chelsea are poised to make him an offer to go back to the Bridge ! Aye, right Yvesstand by yer phone.
Birmingham fans can start counting on goals coming from Gary O'Connor again. He is staying at B'ham on a 2 year deal. I thought he was a stick on for Hibs, but even I get some things wrong.
Not wrong tho' about Goodwillie going to Celtic..he might go, but he's never a £3m player..not even close. He'll have a problem going into the Glasgow gold fish bowl as well. Oh, and I might be the only one in the world who hasn't been touted for a move to Celtic, by the way.

Donovan deal will be permanent, the reason Ben Arfa deal has stalled is everton won't pay 10m straight up but want the fee to reach 10m with add ons. No way Jags will be sold. Onouha 6m could spell the end of Yobo (hope not think hes twice the player of onouha, yobo's wages are one of the highest in the club that's the only reason why he'll be sold)

Ed, got any inside rumours on Man United's summer transfer targets? One website claimed united were after Mesut Ozil and Manuel Neuer for £32m, do you believe it?
44TH44 {editor's note – I doubt if there is a club in the world that wouldn't be interested in Ozil. With his contract coming to an end I am sure there are no shortage of offers on the table for him to choose from. Neuer has been scouted a number of times, I don't know if the rumours of a bid are true but they would make sense with VDS coming to the end of his career.}

Well, his contract ended and he wants to play some football, which is hard when you have to compete with Messi, Pedro, Bojan and other great players.
He had a 20M pounds release clause at the age of 17, so he must hold some talent.

Assulin is very talented and has a bright future ahead of him. wish he will choose the right club to prove it.

Joe Cole will be sorted by Saturday, with talks with Liverpool and Man City tomorrow, with Tottenham and Arsenal set for talks on Wednesday. Man City will offer him the most money; Liverpool guaranteed 1st team football, with Tottenham and Arsenal offering Champions League footballbut not 1st team football. I fully expect Joe Cole to be presented at Liverpool next week.
Big happenings at Anfield heading out are Javier Mascherano(Barca35m), Lucas(Inter8m), Albert Riera(Mallorca6m), Martin Skrtel(Juventus12m), Phillip Degen(Basel1m), Diego Cavalieri(Brazil4m). Added to Roy's £10m budget, Hodgson will have around £65m to overhaul the squad.

Interestingly ARSENAL have 21 players above 21 in their squad, that is you take out Cesc and put in Koscielny and Campbell stays for one more year. Out of the 21 they have SIX homegrown players so this means Ramsey and Walcott will have to be named in the 25 man squad to make up the numbers for homegrown players this means Arsenal have just TWO places up for grabs, meaning they can only bring in TWO more players over the age of 21.
So people need to think about their posts as three or more players over 21 is not Possible for Arsenal unless Campbell is swapped for another homegrown player before he leaves. In other words if Campbell leaves then a max of THREE players can come in over the age of 21 and one of them must be homegrown!
I explained that a well as i could, basically if Cesc leaves and Campbell stays then Arsenal can bring in just TWO players over 21, if Cesc stays and Campbell stays then the most Arsenal can bring in is ONE player plus Koscielny over the age of 21. Hard to understand i know but it is all fact.

All i mainly see on this site is transfer rumours for money bags Man City and Donuts from Liverpool thinkin they got money when there skint. Villa maybe not be the biggest club in the country but they do have a sizeable transfer budget which can only increase with sales of Luke Young, Steve Sidwell to West Ham and Habib Beye to Stoke or Newcastle.

Anyways, i've heard that celtic, newcastle and blackpool scouts have been to see bohemians play in the Irish league, they are watching a tall CB who's good in the air. I'd say it's McGuinness. He turned down trials in the uk many times as he thought he'd be homesick, he feels he is at his best now and ready for a move away from ireland.

Not sure where all of the Arsenal stories are coming from, people claiming this source says this and that. I have three people who I have been friends with for numerous years who are great contacts within the club and the only news they are giving me is that apart from the french centre half signing, the club are keeping all of their transfer business very quiet.
One of these friends is normally spot on with any story's, but has heard nothing at all. He along with every Arsenal fan out there expects there to be a few signings after the amount of players who have left, but again dosnt know who the targets are or even their possitions.
Anyone out there claiming they know this or that is either very very well connected or making things up.

Regarding these "done deal" comments regarding LFC and its takeover.
Now, noone in my immediate (or even extended) family plays golf with any exLFC players well, not that they've told me, so I'm in no position to say whether or not "done deal" is indeed the prevailing view of said former stars, but I do know a little bit about takeovers, so here goes.
First, and as painful as it is, cast your minds back to Tom Hicks phone briefing on SSN. In that he said that they'd just finished pitching and that the expected timescale for the deal was end Aug end Dec. Then wind forward to last week and Broughton's comments that they had received no firm offers thus far, that they anticipated receiving such bids by mid July and that he was hopeful the deal would be sorted by late August. By and large, all this tallies, the primary difference being that broughton decided for whatever reason to give a more optimistic view on the timescale. The only thing of real difference was the level of Hicks' involvement in all this Hicks implied he was involved, broughton said he wasn't. Both have their own agendas so believe who you want but as a rule you'd expect the Chairman to be heavily involved in takeover talks (assuming good governance) whilst maajor shareholders often are involved via a representive (unless they fulfill an explict executive role). Anyway, none of this sounds like a done deal and why lie? Enough assumed "done deals" fall through so why set yourself up for a fall?
The reasons for Broughton's more optimistic timescale could be anything eg, LFC has received sufficiently credible statements of intent to bid that they're confident of this timing; or, to sound more attractive to transfer/backroom targets. Etcetera.
If "done deal" is indeed a genuine refelection of sentiment emanating from within the club this could imply that there is either a "favoured party" from whom a bid is expected (or even that only one acceptable bid is expected) and therefore there is a growing assumption that the new owner will be this party and that's that. I would advise caution in that case, at least until a firm bid is made.
Then again, maybe it is all a bluff and a bid has been made/accepted and broughton is simply trying to flush out a competitive bid to strengthen his hand. Not sure, don't think so. Unless there's a concern about the existing bid, this would be a big risk, and broughton would only take it if he had no other option.
Or, more unlikely still, a succesful bid really has been made and the deal is being kept secret for ..er..um..some odd reason particular to either LFC or the acquirer. And the various regulators would be rather interested to say the least. In this peculiar scenario the deal will be announced when its finalised rather than simply agreed.
Me, I think that Broughton's been fairly honest. No bids yet. Bids expected soon. A favoured party is expected to bid and fingers crossed deal done before transfer window ends.
But feel free to disagree.

I just wanted to say about all the rumours linking man utd to benzema/suarez/fabiano or anyone else. I really can't see it because everyone is quoting man utd's formation as 442 but against most teams they play 451 and theyre not going to drop rooney so why would they need another striker? They already have berba, owen, macheda, hernandez and a few other youths. I can see them buying a midfielder but that's about it. what do you think ed? {editor's note I think that Berbatov might well be on his way.}

That would be nice, but a few problems:
Firstly, Zamblera shall leave for a NOMINAL FEE (not 2.5million) to an Italian club, although Roma did not take up their option to buy.
Furthermore, Gosling will not be free; although his contract may be up, the development compensation must be paid.
Nedum Onouha shall not come to Newcastle, Man Citeh are demanding at least 5.5 million, this summer prices are extra inflated.
Xisco's wages are too high for Santander (hes on 50k), he will probably go out on loan to them (or someone similar) again, and then again the season after, after which his contract shall be up.
Kevin Prince Boateng is just about Portsmouth's most saleable asset, and shall probably not be sold for less than 5 million, probably to a London club (Hodgson was interested until he moved to Liverpool).
Ameobi won't leave; he doesn't want to and Chris Hughton likes him.
Ranger may be sold because his attitude in training stinks.
Forster may still go to Norwich on loan, as their No. 1 shirt has not yet been taken in their 2010/11 squad numbers.

In reference to the chap who said " Manchester City " Representitives were in talks with a certain no 9 whilst in South Africa, I am undecided if Torres would discuss his future, whilst spain are still in the " World cup ". What I do know is talking to someone who work's in scouting, Has told me that Manchester City will stop at nothing to buy the World's best players. I do believe Torres has been offered a phenomenal amount of money by Manchester City, I do believe after the rollercoaster ride that has been Liverpool. That he would consider the chance of joining a team who is on a rapid rise (ableit from funds no prem team can compete with)..Depending on what is actually going on at LFC. I do think there could be a shock on the cards. I do not hate LFC or a rival stoaking the fires. Just how I see it and what I have heard. Similar to Manchester United who are keeping there cards very close to there chest Expect 1 big signing to get the fans on board by the Glazers. Funds are in place regardless of debt, but given Fergies checkered history with big money flops (Veron, Kleberson, Djemba Djemba etc) Again I believe there may be a rabbit in the hat there. Oh and as for Arsenal I think Fabregas will stay at Arsenal for one more year, similar with what Ronaldo did at United. these aren't facts just from what I have read, know, and summerise.

Man United linked with Van Der Wiel? As a Utd fan this is annoying as he has been linked with Arsenal in England and other big clubs in Europe not United up until now. Besides MUFC do not need him, have we forgotten about a certain John O'Shea? Gary Neville can fill in and Rafael is a great prospect. Wes Brown is there too and providing he stays fit is a wonderful backup (right back all season the year we won Champions League and Premiership).
A versatile attacking midfielder is the only almost definite. Take your pick of complete random or best priced young creative player to be groomed next season, my bet the obvious Sotiris Ninis (cheap and versatile). Iv got a few contacts or people i know who are acedemy scouts or involved in football in midlands and iv herd a couple of times that england is no longer a massive attraction for footballers from the rest of the world. Players who are allready here and settled obviously would rather stay or go back to somewhere they have been. But others would rather go to spain italy or even germany.
This has been seen at birmingham wolves west brom and villa who i have on good aurthority have bid successfully for players but they just don't fancy the epl. Pav would rather go to germany or russia than stay miccolli would rather stay in italy ndaw would rather stay in france or move to spain.
This is driving teams like man city to offer 150k a week for yaya n it turn down and 170 185 200 210 and then yaya has to agree at 220k a week. He doesn't even want to be here and will be another robinho. Likes d money but doesn't want to be here. West brom can't attract the drabs from east europe because they want to go to italy villa want a couple of 5 6 mill players from africa and south america but spain n germany is more appealing. Leicester City will announce Paulo Sousa as their new manager later this week, as talks are now only about personal terms as he has agreed a twoyear deal. Seen on other sites but not mentioned on here is a possible swap deal involving Gael Clichy and Felipe Melo personally i like the idea. Gives wenger that defensive midfield cover alongside Alex and gets Gael Clichy out of Arsenal where he seems unhappy and below his best plus with Kieron Gibbs emergence don't need to sign a replacement. Other news mainbly being about Tomas Rosicky, Eduardo and Nicholas Bendtner. All three i feel have had there time and chances at Arsenal so losing them won't be at detrementral, plus have replacements for them all so. I personally believe the rumours about Joe Cole going abroad if he was signing for English team deal would be done by now. Plus isn't required with Wellingtons arrival in new year. Defence well that's a difficult one i think Wenger knows who he wants in Kosceinly and jagielka but knows he won't get the latter cheap so. Mertsacker isn't that impressive i personally feel the rumours about Marquez are closer hes older and more of a leader, Arsenal have youngsters coming through. If campbell can be persuaded to have a bit part role this year playing wise and do some coaching of youngsters feel wenger would like that. Wenger also as we are all aware is very much an economist and with new regulations coming in about CL i don't feel he is about to rush out and spend a fortune in fact can see a few more big names going in 12 months time. It was going all too well until you spoilt it with that 6th point. It is ridiculous to think that SAF will sell berbatov, carrick and anderson to just buy benzema. I know berbatov has had a decent(not good) season and the other two have had disastrous seasons but that has all been down to confidence loss. There is just no sense in thinking that SAF will sell one of his most experienced players in carrick and a good young midfielder in anderson in the same season. Berbatov will not be sold unless somebody offers 20mil+. The only way we will get benzema is if jose thinks he is too much of a distraction in the dressing room or demands a first team place etc. Also i expect one of ando or carrick to be sold but not both. I think it will be anderson who will be at the wrong end of the stick and will be replaced by ozil.

Hammers to make the following moves in the next monthall serious rumours cooberated by various sources inside and outside the club.
1) Cole will be sold if buyer agrees £10 million up front, with 3 million in add ons (ie appearances/goals/caps)
Should they sell Cole, then Piquionne has been lined up as a short term replacement, around the £1.5 million mark.
2) Neymar is a definate goer, although G and S are struggling to broker the deal to ensure the profit from his future sale stay with the Hammers and not a third party agent. The Chelsea link with this deal is a red herin, as Man City are being lined up a parent club for us.

I say Everton defender because I have two conflicting bits of info from there right now, one says it is Jagielka Arsenal want, but the other believes it to be Yobo. Jagielka is the better player in my opinion.
It is Jagielka the reason being that he can cover two positions CB and CDM. Wenger needs cover for Song/Diaby and sees Jags as the man to do the job. The problem is the valuation Everton have so far rejected one offer and Arsenal have yet to make an improved bid. Whilst Jagielka was first option, Wenger has Ajax's Jan Vertonghen earmarked. He is younger (23), has more pace and would certainly increase the average height being 6'2 to Jagielka's 5'11! He is also a close friend of Thomas Vermaelen. Koscielny should be confirmed this week Schwarzer deal is currently on hold until the new Fulham manager has been announced.
PS) Why are Arsenal fans on here still going on about Joe Cole? He isn't even being considered as an option. Milner is hot property and is not in the country as he is taking a holiday from the world cup and the only club likable to sign the midfielder now is Chelsea but they are in pursuit of Bastian Schweinsteiger. Also O'Neill has said he will accept no less than £32 Mil which has been reported in many national news papers and also SSN, O'Neill will stick to his guns which has been proven with the Gareth Barry saga 2 seasons ago.
As for Ashley Young, he is happy at Villa he starts week in week out and Wenger does not need another winger as he as Arshavin and Walcott and buying Ashley would only be a confidence destroyer for the youth players that wenger has to his disposal in the way buyin him means they are not good enough. The mexican winger barreras agent also was talking to celtic, however the fee of £35m might be a problem unless mcgeady is sold, which is being considered if an offer of £7m plus is received and he wants to go. Also if his agent is willing to make a 12,000 miles round journey it gives the impression the player is interested.
Joe ledley is also in discussions with celtic and will probably be offered around 20k a week, much the same as stoke will offer. Therefore I think he will sign for a chance in european football. But theres also the danger hes trying to start a bidding war.
Bullard will have more talks but i doubt they will sign him if they can lure ledley as they would have 3 attack minded midfielders (brown), ( ledley and bullard if they sign)

Torres is staying at Liverpool, for this season. Guillem Balague is said to have spoken to Torres' agent who can't speak English, no comments have been made. Torres and Gerrard are staying at Liverpool this season and if no Champions League football they're off!

Bit of a shock this one and I expect people will be sceptical, but according to a NTFC employee I know who has been 100% spot on in the past, Leeds have agreed personal terms with Adebayo Akinfenwa on a free transfer.
Apparently Akinfenwa was reluctant to accept a deal where he wasn't guaranteed first team football, but he has had assurances that Leeds will not be signing any more forwards.
Apparently the deal is for 2 years.

Vichai and his family are worth around $450 million and will pay around £28m to buy Leicester and will invest up to £30m over the next 2 years, with around £20m of it going on reducing the clubs massive debts, including the stadium debt.

I know somebody who has regular business/personal contact with Torres, can't say how as it would be unfair to them, but it is completely legit, this person had him sign a copy of his autobiography for me and sees him frequently, for instance. I am assured absolutely by this person last spoke on Frida that Torres intends to stay at Liverpool. Of course if the owners need/want to sell him that is another matter and there will always be attempts to destabilise players (Daily Mail, other clubs etc). BBC Radio Sheffield is reporting that a fee has been agreed between Sheffield United and Doncaster Rovers for the striker Billy Sharp. Sharp is set to rejoin the Yorkshire minnows after a period on loan at the Keepmoat last season.
All this points towards Leeds finally signing Gary Hooper from Scthorpe. Sharp was always second choice behind Hooper but terms were agreed between Leeds and the Blades man with the understanding that if Leeds captured Hooper then the deal would be void.
I now expect Hooper to sign for the Whites before the players depart on their preseason tour of Slovakia at the weekend.

More Celtic info..As i posted last night Bellamy may go back to Celtic if we can move Aiden on for about 8M to cover the fee with Bellamy wanting 60k and Celtic only having 40k tops with merchandice add ons. Tbh I think that all the rumours circulating Barnsley aren't going to happen. Who should ManU sign considering their voids n financial troubles?
Well, a large part of this depends on the sale of players like Vidic, Berbatov, Anderson, Gibson, Carrick n Obertan. The "most likely to leave" list includes Berba, Anderson and Carrick. Vidic will only leave for Real Madrid.
Keeping all these things in mind, we can easily accumulate approx 32 Mil through sales. Add the 25 Mil that SAF has got from the yanks n u r looking at a figure of arround 57 mil.
The following voids need to be filled immidiately:
RB a position that hasn't been ManU's strength for quite some time now. We hve Neville n Rafael bt neither of them can be trusted for excellent performances in the nxt 2 seasons. With Maicon joining Mourinho, Ramos might be surplus to RM's needs. Bt he is likely to cost arnd 2530 mil.
CAM Ninis would fit perfectly with his versatility. He can be groomed under the guidance of Scholes for a year n be prepared for the future by one of the best. He is likely to cost around 10mil. Other costlier options are Hazard (25 mil) n Pjanic (15 mil not sure). Sneijder n Ozil would be dream add ons to the squad bt lets be realistic, with their performances at the wc n the interest frm some "wealthier" clubs, we might nt be able to get them.

Roy Hodgson is targetting Joe Cole as a replacement for Yossi Benayoun and Albert Riera. Arda Turan is second choice of the scouting team. He (Hodgson) is currently assessing the strength of the squad before making any other moves but realises he acts to act quickly over Cole. It is highly unlikely that Real Madrid will match LFC's valuation of Gerrard so don't expect talks to even enter in to a preliminary stage. There is an offer from Italy for Skrtel and Ayala is off to Spain. Torres' agent is talking to interested clubs as a fall back in case things deteriorate at LFC over the summer but this is unlikely. Masch still likely to leave, giving Hodgson a healthy transfer budget to bring in a couple of quality English players. It is thought the deal for Wilson from Rangers is now dead in the water. Hammers to make the following moves in the next monthall serious rumours cooberated by various sources inside and outside the club.
1) Cole will be sold if buyer agrees £10 million up front, with 3 million in add ons (ie appearances/goals/caps)
Should they sell Cole, then Piquionne has been lined up as a short term replacement, around the £1.5 million mark.
2) Neymar is a definate goer, although G and S are struggling to broker the deal to ensure the profit from his future sale stay with the Hammers and not a third party agent. The Chelsea link with this deal is a red herin, as Man City are being lined up a parent club for us.

LA Galaxy will keep him to ensure they win the MLS and then they'll be in the World Club Championship which they will also want to keep him for.
Only when that is finished (January 2011 I think) will Donovan be allowed to leave, either on loan again (likely) or, if the deal can be done before the window closes he could be an Everton player in January 2011. Otherwise it'll be the summer of 2011 before he returns home to Goodison.

You are right that they need to bring down the wage bill – but do not get wrapped up in the loss made by the club last year. They are by no means self sufficient at this time, but it should be remembered that the accounts included a number of one off payments incurred because of coaching staff changes.

Liverpool are set to sign karim Benzema from Real Madrid. The french striker had a torrid season last year and new manager Jose Mourinho wants rid. Mourinho is willing to let Benzema go if he can have first refusal on Steven Gerrard next summer. Have just received some news from a contact inside Leicester city that Australian defender Adrian Leijer will have a 1 week trial at the club soon with a view of a possible transfer if successful.
He has played in the UK before with Fulham and Norwich and would like a move back to England to break into the Australian national team.

Yes it has been confirmed by SAF yesterday. Before you say he lied , Valencia president also confirmed that they had an equal offer from united, but villa did not want to move country so he chose barcelona. So united do have money. Yes united can get ozil because he wants success and trophies, not money, so city will not be involved. Also he is in last year of his contract so his club cannot hold anybody for ransom.

So to meet the regulations they have let joe cole, ballack and deco leave. They will not be replaced and if they are then only with players like benayoun. Ancelotti was brought in because he is good tactically, can get the best out of ageing squads, and most importantly identifies cheap young talent and has a good scouting network and does not need to spend big to succeed. That is the same reason hodgson is manager of LFC. There won't be any shweinsteiger, ozil, ribery, torres etc. coming at chelsea. They want to meet the financial regulations with comfort and may look to offload cole and some youth academy players to fund transfers and post an acceptable loss.

As a former intern working at BarCap I can confirm that many negotiations take place between the two offices, and old colleagues of mine have been telling me that there are bids which have been put in, as they work in the Investment Banking side/arm of the business and that the bank are negotiating terms with both RBS, Broughton and laying out to potential bidders the figures that need to be placed.
As it has been reported, there is no strict deadline as such, but BarCap would look to move this swiftly as they do not want to get entangled in the same manner that RBS have.
Were roughly looking at another two months of protracted negotiations/due dilligence.
But soon all will be revealed!

Joe Ledley would prefer to move to West Brom as it is nearer to his family in Wales and there style of football would suit him better. Ledley has been discussing personal terms at Stoke but they have been put on hold until he has a medical at the Hawthorns this week. If he does complete his move then Cardiff City will be due with around £750,000 possibly rising to £1,000,000. Will be sad to see him leave Cardiff but good luck Joe! Keep up the good work for Wales.

Norwich City will hold a Press Conference tomorrow to annouce the signings of John Ruddy & Simeon Jackson.
Ruddy's fee will be relatively low due to his desire to leave Everton, and the fact that he is surplus to requirements. Motherwell wanted to make his transfer permanent, but couldn't match the £200k wanted by the Merseyside club.
Fraser Forster is still being targetted for a loan move, although sadly he seems set to join Burnley.
Norwich remain in the hunt for a new RB, winger, central midfielder and further striker. Expect most business to be concluded before next weekend, although a couple of late moves may be made by the club considering their revitalised financial position.

Newcastle have offered 3.5 million plus Shola Ameobi for Bristol City's Nicky Maynard. Bristol are holding out for the equivalent cash sum as they already have strikers Andy Keogh and an unamed Manchester United loanee lined up as replacements.

Could somebody, ed if you have time, clear up these 3 grey areas. 1. is wesley sneijder a real madrid player or an inter player? was reading a paper the other day and it quoted him as a 'real madrid star'? and is it possible that he would move to man united?
2. was there a clause in jovanovic's contract that had anything to do with benitez? and is it possible for that to happen in the first place?
3. i am 50% certain that luis fabiano is out of contract at the end of the upcoming season. so this would considerably lower his price to even £510m as teams like man united would be more than willing to take him for free next year?

Heard from a taxi driver that Bellamy was up in Glasgow a couple o weeks ago and that he and Lennon and another man went to a golf course then to a restaurant. Could be bull but hope not. Oh Bullard's agent used to be evans but now represents himself, hence the reason reports said Bullard has no agent and has been speaking to both clubs this week in a bid to settle his future ahead of the new season. Man Utd have 90+ million to spend FACT!
David Gill has repeatedly said so since the end of the season to allay fears of the sceptical fans who are shouting for big spends on big players.
Saf has and always will keep his cards close to his chest with targets which is why Utd have almost always got the deal done before it gets leaked to the press. So most of the names banded about are fictional rather than factual targets.
My opinion on some names
J Cole Looks likely Spurs won the race but im sure Utd will be at least speaking to him and his agent.
Dzeko no chance Wolfsburg want to much.
Sanchez Possible target but not likely to happen this year.
L Fabiano Hope so. Stumbling block will be the price. Sevilla are looking for 30+m and I have no idea why as he has already stated his reluctance to sign a new deal and his contract only has 1 year left. Saf would do business but at more like 12m with his age also almost 30.
Schweinstiger Would be awsome but very unlikely Bayern would sell without massive fee which Utd would get priced out.
Kjear Looks good and I have heard he fancies the Prem and Utd but interest looks to be fading now Vidic will be staying.
Ozil He would fit the bill in my opinion and apart from his googly eyes he looks the part to. Might have a price hike after a good WC especially if the Germans win it.
