A few "curve–ball" signings for Liverpool, that haven't been mentioned :–

Left back, Lopez from Athletico – £5m, had 2 cracking games against us, and if you can't beat them. .

Defensive Mid, N'Zonzi from Blackburn – £5m+, new Viera type, only 21 and could be seen as a tidy profit, they got him for £500k

Also from Blackburn, Forward, Kalanic, looks like he couldn't hit an elephant's backside with a banjo, but he reminds me of a young Berbatov in his positioning

Llorente from Bilbao – £7m, 6ft 5, great goals return for a big man the past 2 seasons

Check out www.yanksout.com, cracking pro Liverpool / Rafa site and some real facts about his time in charge

Cheers

Pablo

I posted yesterday about Rafa meeting Broughton today. Rafa has been told that money from player sales will only be available after a sale of LFC has been completed. Rafa wanted a written confirmation. Purslow and Broughton refused. Rafa has also consulted his lawyers regarding a breach of contract by LFC. The Alonso money was not given to Rafa even though Rafa agreed to this at the time. Only first payment of £5M was paid for Aquillani. Rafa has informed CP and Broughton that he wishes to resign. He has cancelled his routine Friday press conference. You are probably wondering how i know about this. Lets just say the news of this has reached Fleet Street. Expect some news on Saturday. Expect an announcement from the club next week. Bad times for LFC. YNWA. J7.

SPL rumours:

Reynolds (motherwell) has been linked with PSV but it seems like a move to the championship is more likely. Mcarther (Wigan) to Wigan. Falkirk are likely to lose arfield and flynn.

If Lennon should get the Celtic job, the rumours say that he will move for Lee wallace as Naylor looks like he could leave. Also, former rangers player Zurab Khizanishvili has been linked with Celtic (tho it might not go down so well). A right back may be needed with Hinkel being linked with Shalke. Fortune to stay if Lennon is there next season. Celtic can't afford Keane but may move for N'guemo and Kamara. Braafheid isn't rated by Lennon. A winger could come in, possible O'brien from Motherwell or Mccormack could be enquired over, it depends on what funds are available really. Dorrans is probably too rich as the papers claim it could take up to 8million to lure him away from the Baggies. However, i would expect one large profile signing/loan with keane going, one paper claims that it could be Fletcher from Burnley but Bolton are said to be in for him too. Celtic are unlikelt to survive the difficult the european qualifiers but want to avoid another league defeat so a transfer budget of around 8million is likely to be provided to whatever manager comes in. However, Celtic's debt is low, with a few years without the champions league group game, any money from sells like Boruc, Mcgeady or the likes are unlikely to be added to the transfer budget

It looks likely that Rangers will be bought over by Ellis but i wouldn't expect anything too exciting but it will bring stability. The management team will be given new contracts and wilson and novo will be offered new deals. boyd and broadfoot are likely to go on free's. Beasley is likely to be seen as surplus to requirements whilst little and velicka are likely to go too. Steven Smith has already said that he will leave. One of the keepers are likely to go with a younger understufy being brought in, possibly Tuffy of Partick Thistle or 3rd choice Gallagher might come up the pecking order. Davis will stay but it is dependent on Bougherra's performance at the world cup whether he will stay or not. Barcelona are very unlikely to make an offer but a move in the region of 6–8million seems likely. Webster will come bak into the team and Weir's future will be decided by him as Smith would happily keep him. Another defender will be signed though to replace Bougherra, possible Miguel Flano of Osasuna, Bamba is a possibility as well as Kamil Zayatte from Hull. An outside defensive target could be Pearce from Reading. Rangers won't invest heavily in central midfielders as they are fairly well covered in that position but the main targets will be wingers and one quality striker. A polish winger whos name i can't spell from Borrusia Dortmund is a target but he could be too expensive as he has hit form. Its possible that Rangers could go back for Poulson from Az alkmaar after a deal fell through in january. David Goodwillie has been linked alot recently but Soren Larsen is a possibility too as well as Simeon Jackson.

It looks like the smaller teams will be losing their main players but it will provide good funding for them as debts rise in the SPL. Hearts have been linked with Craig Bryson, Manuel Pascali and Kevin Kyle but i can't see Kilmarnock selling 3 of their main players (Kyle would be available on a free). Barr is already goin to Hearts but Steven Thompson of Burnley has been linked with them as well as Mark Kerr from the Dons. Dundee Utd will focus on keeping the likes of Kenneth and gomis rather than look to spend big, but they will move for a defender to replace Webster, possibly a return to Scotland for Rob Jones or former Dunfermline defender Andrius Skerla (who i must be about 38 now). Finally, Hibs could see Michael Stewart cross the Edinburgh divide yet again as he has fallen out with Jeffries the Hearts boss. Hibs will let Gow go and will look to replace him with the signing of Richard Hughes of Portsmouth and will try to get Jutkiwicz from Everton on loan following his success at Motherwell this season. He won't play at Everton but i would think Moyes would rather cash in on him which would prove too expenisive for them.

Make of that what you will, that's just paper talk since the after the January Window

Why does everyone think the Ellis deal is off and that even if it was on the guy has no money ??

Think about this. where did Andrew Ellis go to look over Rangers finances ? and whats the masive Rangers conection there ?

Also , i am lead to undrstand that he will buy the club .. however it is not Ellis who is stalling, it is Murray, he knows what Ellis consortium (King, Park, also understand Tom Hunter is involved) have planed and is not sure it is in his (mih / mim what ever you want to call Murrays duff groups) best interest.

Yes it is true Ellis is more interested in the development of the area arround Ibrox however the only way he can get this is to buy the club and surrounding land that Rangers own. he will depelop the plots of land and also buy some additional land from Glasgow city council whom are willing to to a deal just like they did with Celtic for the com games in 2014.

PS – hope Elvis keeps the Bairns up this season , yes im a falkirk fan

Does any one have any new on who the new oldham manager will be?

Hi mate, I posted last week that David Penney would leave the club due to a) poor results in the league and b) the possibility that the club could face administration over the summer.

I also mentioned that Jimmy Quinn has been mooted as a strong candidate to take over. Jimmy is a well–respected and well liked manager and he can work with a small budget (Oldham will not have much money to offer him for new players in the summer) but also he has many contacts in the game.

Expect a few free and loan signings – Rhys Weston is rumoured to be considering a move as is fellow ex–Cardiff defender Danny Parslow. Oliver Gill may also join on a loan from Manchester United and Blackburn may loan young striker Osahon Eboigbe to Oldham as well.

06 May 2010 21:28:02
West Ham to announce major investment with a major new shareholder buying up 40% of the shares.

The club will then release £25million to a new manager to buy new players, plus the money from player sales.

Players to leave the club include Matthew Upson, Danny Gabbidon, Mido, Franco, Ilan,
Boa Morte, Spector, Stech plus a few others if the money is right. The club wil also try to do a deal with Kieron Dyer to get him off the wage bill.

One of the major signings the club wil go for is Chelsea's Joe Cole. Sullivan & Gold have said they won't mind paying top wages to a top player, and that player is Cole.

There is going to be loads of movement at Upton Park this summer as Sullivan & Gold DO NOT want another season like the club has just had.

For more info watch this space..

Liverpool are going to bid 15mil for Chelsea's Salomon Kalou. Chelsea could be bringing in Ribery and Aguero which would cut down Kalou's playing time signifcantly.

Liverpool are also targetting Karim Benzema on a 1 year loan (4mil) with an option to sign him for a further (20mil)

Aleksandar Kolarov (13mil) and Juan Mata or Mezut Ozil (17mil) are also being targetted by Liverpool.

Chelsea will bring in the 2 mentioned above for around 40mil each. Joe Cole will leave, possibly to Tottenham or Man United. Liverpool & Arsenal were interested but will not pay 120k/wk to him.

Arsenal will spend a fair bit. They want Eden Hazard (15mil) Van de Wiell (8mil) to replace Inter Milan–bound Sagna (14mil) Chamakh (free) Shay Given (8mil) and Gary Cahill (14mil)

With Tottenham breaking in the top 4, they will look to sign big. However I don't know any of their targets but that Redknapp will have around 30mil to spend NET.

I also am unaware who Man City will be targetting.

Villa is going to Barcelona along with Clichy. Henry to Red Bulls. DiMaria and Luis Fabiano to Madrid.

Everybody stop saying micah richards is leaving Manchester City. He is going nowhere and that comes from his dad/agent Lincoln Richards. My dad is friends with Lincoln, he chats to him often and he says Micah is getting rested because he was on the verge of burnout playing season after season at a young age.

The only Man City deal that is likely to happen so far is Jerome Boateng from Hamburg, but expect a few more players come the start of next season.

Well I see the burden of delivering trophies to this great town we live in stays with Manchester United. One already, might be two come sunday, who knows. Okay down to business, who can United hope to buy to improve us. Torres, no chance. Milner possible, can't see it though. Benzema, doesn't want to know us, and why would he, he is french and playing in sunny spain. Ribery doesn't impress me, I would rather have Robben, no chance of either anyway. So here are my realistic possibilities. Defour, Akinfeev in Jan, Darren Bent or Carlton Cole. Kaka on loan only for a year. Real Madrid owe us a favour, and I think it would be good for all parties, shirt sales etc. All United business to be tied up in the next month or so, definitely before the WC.

Think logically guys, united arent gonna spend more than another 30mil (Fergie has said he spent bout 30mil on Smalling, Javier Hernandez and M B Diouf). So fink hes got a defender hes got two strikers hes gonna spend the last 30 on da mid field.
David Silva will come in because he can play left and in the middle. Fegie will spend the rest on youngsters or Modric and Krasic will come in if Berba, Carrick and fringe players are sold.
VDS/Akinfeev in jan
Brown Vidic Evans/Smallin/Rio Evra
Valencia/Nani Hargo Modric Krasic/Silva
Rooney/Owen/Hernandez/Diouf
No promises but my logic is undeniable!

LFC FANS

In the papers today and on sky sports they are suggesting that rafa bentiez could turn down juventus and stay , What a tragedy that would be !! Have him juve take him off our hands , i know some liverpool fans wouldn't agree with me but if he stays this club will never win the premier league , he is one of the most defensive managers ive ever seen playing 4231 formation ( basically 451) at home to the likes of hull city , wolves and burnley. to me hes not a winner and doesn't show no emotion win or lose , his transfers part from a few good ones have been shocking as in ( morientes , josemi , kromkamp , nunez , mark gonzalez ) if he gets giving money by our "new owners" which hopefuli will be here soon he will waste it! and when we need a goal he brings off the likes of torres ! What a joke.

Anyway our likely managerial targets are going to be roy hodgson , martin o neil , Kenny daglish. id love to say mourinho as i think hes one of best managers in the world and there isn't a manager like him but i think hes real madrid bound.

Hopefully if we get new owners in next few weeks we should be able to sign a few £20m + players , We need to buy before world cup cause prices will SKYROCKET.

LFC FOR LIFE

John Oster has is close to putting pen to paper and signing a 2 year deal with Sheff Utd after the free agent held talks with the yorkshire club today.

John has already held talks with a number of clubs including Coventry city, Watford and queens park rangers after turning a new improved 2 year contract down at doncaster rovers.
The midfield ace is going away on holiday before coming back and making a descision regarding his future.
Oster is holding out for a move to Utd unless someone else makes a great offer.
His mum and dad live in sheffield.

this is 100% accurate information and comes from a source i cannot name for obvious reasons.

Im a united fan and unlike the rest of u united fans im realistic, let me guess ur all 15 live anywhere but manchester and only started supporting them when u were old enuff to get some laughs outta it when they dominated?? and knowing half of you youlll soon become city supporters. i live in manchester i don't pretend to b fergies sisters mums dogs left leg or whatever the rest of ya all say. anyways down to rumours, there are none, we have signed smalling this chicarito geezer from god knows where and were planning on using other players like ljallic (spelling) gibson macheda and all the other youngsters. now come on were 500 or so million in debt, we only really have 1 player that's worth alot of money (rooney) and theres no way saf will let him leave so don't expect us to do alot of business. berba may leave, although i think he'll b given another chance much to my disgust the lazy a and possibly park, brown, and carrick out. ins erm maybe milner, but not close to the ridiculous 30million price ticket you guys are throwing out, bale and modric for 50 million pffffft likely, na we may get one prob moddy but again its unlikely due to his price demand. benzema may join on loan, but no massive price ticket will be thrown at him, and there may b sly behind the scenes bids for plays like di maria or suarez but tbh i doubt it.
man united won't sign big, its an awful thing to have to admit but were not the big spenders and premier league dominant force atm. fergie will sign a couple more players like ronaldo and turn them into world stars but seriously ladies stop with the CRAZYYYYY rumours

Some fan we never signed Ljallic so would be pretty hard to use him.Gill has promised a number of times that Fergie has 60m to spend was 80m but have spent 20m already(Diouf, Smalling, Chicarito)
We will sign at least two more good players, and im saying this as Fergie has said win or lose this year the squad needs freshing up.If your one of these pesamistic fools who thinks his strings are being pulled by the Glazers, you know less than i thought as Fergie would never put up with it.
By the way im Irish

Its true, Rafa has resigned. Press conference schedule for tomorrow 11am. Press release going out at 9pm this evening. Have read the latter. Its very short and refers to the press con in the morning.

No sale happening this side of the summer. No significant transfer funds. Rafa was told this today and has tendered his resignation, which the board have accepted. M O'neil to be approached apparently.

06 May 2010 18:05:49
The word is rafa and liverpool will part company after a meeting with new chairman martin broughton , broughton is a non–exc chairman and cannot give rafa assurances over transfer money available , the departure will be by mutual consent as rafa does not want to destroy his image of a man of the people with the liverpool fans , he will join juve but will not be announced for another 2 weeks out of respect. liverpool will negoiate a deal with juve roughly 8 mill as they will not stand in rafa's way.As liverpools future is uncertain its only a guess who the next manager will be , the propossed takeover will not happen through the media that's why there is no hard evidence in the papers or the net, its apart of the deal only to take to liverpool not the media talks will only take place at boardroom level. LETS HOPE IT HAPPENS SOON!

Hey guys, i have heard that Arsenal will try and sign two French Under–21 players – Maxime Gonalons from Lyons and Bakary Sako from Saint–Etienne.

Haven't heard anything from Liverpool, but i doubt the Torres rumours on this site are true. He won't go to Chelsea because he doesn't like the physical nature of the PL. Furthermore he won't go to Juventus because they have no CL. Both Gerrard and Torres won't join City; the Blue Mancs have no CL, no culture, no dignity, no trophies, just a wad load of cash – which will only buy them more second rate players this summer.

As for Barca, there is a presidency election at the end of the year, which means they will be looking to make a big signing/s (the campaigns will probably 'promise' Torres, Fabregas or Rooney). As for Messi, he won't leave for Real Madrid. He has been at Barca since he was a boy and is always stating that he wants to end his career there and who wouldn't?

I have heard that Rovers are hoping to sign Saviola and Sunderland are attempting to sign SWP, Carlton Cole and S.Ireland – not bad signings.
Liverpool are in advanced talks with Kjaer and Arda. Maybe that will be it for the summer, if Rafastays it means there is money.
P.S Congrats to Spurs and Crouch for yesterday.

06 May 2010 17:52:04
There are too many rumours flying around about Graham Dorrans. All this talk of £6 million moves to Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester United, West Ham United. It will not happen. West Bromwich Albion have put a price tag of at least £12 million for him, and Jeremy Peace (the chairman) has said that we are financially sound and have no reason to sell and that talks have taken place with Graham Dorrans and he doesn't want to leave. He will definitely be a West Bromwich Albion player next season.

Arsenal news:
Great news in Chamakh confirming yesterday that he is certain to join in the summer on a bosman (free) fee. Should be on a 5 year deal, with salary of £50,000 a week. Very good piece of business, typical of Wenger, for a player who is strong in the air and physically strong (something we have lacked) and also has champions league experience with Bordeaux having progressed well in this season's competition, so he should form a good partnership with van Persie up front.

Big story today is that we are in negotiations with Dynamo Kiev over the signing of Senegel international and vice captain centre back Pape Malickou Diakhate, with his wikipedia entry already saying that he is an Arsenal player. The fee would be around £10m, for a relatively unknown player quite a large fee, but then Vermaelen cost the same and was relatively unheard of and look how successful he's been in his first season. Currently on loan at St Etienne, he can also play at left back, defensive midfield or on the wing. He has attracted interest from other big clubs such as Liverpool and Juventus, but at only 6"1 he isn't quite the commanding centre half we are looking for but is said to be very aggressive in the challenge, so could form a good partnership at centre back with Vermaelen. I would expect at least two centre backs to be signed this summer, with Simon Kjaer, Subotic, Gary Cahill, Philippe Mexes and Brede Hangeland other possibilities to join along with Diakhate.

To join Chamakh, Diakhate and one of the other centre back targets, expect to also the signing of a good quality keeper to serve as our number 1. Joe Hart, Hugo Lloris, Manuel Neuer and Rob Green are all possible choices.
Outs:
Almunia – Spain
Gallas – Italy/France
Silvestre – Bordeaux/PSG
Senderos – Everton (permenant deal)
Merida – Atletico
(Campbell will sign on for another season after some impressive performances recently, Eduardo will stay as he has been re–assured he is in Wenger's plans, Cesc, RVP, Clichy and Sagna are going nowhere – Wenger wouldn't sell his best players despite rumours these 4 could leave)

In Arsene We Trust

06 May 2010 17:15:57
Danny Agger to make 15 mill move to Inter MIlan, Jamie O' Hara to move on loan to Celtic after talking to Robbie Keane on how good the fans are at Parkhead with Ben Foster also moving on a seasons loan to gain first team football allowing Bourc move to become the new number 1 at Arsenal and Micheal Owen will move back to Newcastle but only if he drops his wage demands by 25%.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Now that Spurs are in the Qualifying round of the Champ league they will gamble a little bit with their wage structure in order to qualify for the group stages. Likely free transfers will be Hamit Alt1ntop and Joe Cole. Their experience will be essential. Another free transfer target is likely to be Kasper Schmeichel. At least 1 centre back will be targeted with the first choice being Cahill and 1 right back likely to be Richards. All in all it is expected that 6–8 players will join the lane in the Summer.
––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Englands top 4 each to make significant purchases of strikers this summer, Chamakh to Arsenal, Torres or Aguero to Chelsea, Fabiano to United and Rossi to Tottenham

Disaster LFC fans, Rafa has resigned today and Martin 'Hoof the ball' O Neil has been approached as a replacement, but wait it gets worse.

Juventus are no longer interested in Rafa and the special one has bagged his other dream Job in Real Madrid so:–

Rafa has been approached to take over at Man City, unlimited budget and the 'control' he craves, he also doesn't have to move and plus he won't be short of a pound or two.

Who know who will go with him?

Thank you Moores & Parry and thank you H&G. Bleak days.

Michael Rose– cover for left back
Paul Mcveigh– shock as it is Keane thinks their is still potential
Antoine Sibierski – likewise to Mcveigh
David Mooney– Reading

Just had to reply!!
Accusing others of being 15? Maybe if you improved your grammar you would have some credibility!!
I do not claim to know who we will sign, if any, but please, if you are trying to stake a claim of being a true supporter then you should at least do your homework and know that United decided against the option to purchase Ljajic. Therefore he is not a United player.

06 May 2010 16:58:26
"Despite talk of Phillipe Mexes, Lamine Sakho and Neven Subotic, the favourite to replace Gallas [at Arsenal] is in fact Pape Malickou Diakhaté of Dinamo Kyiv (currently on loan at St Etienne)."

Well I've seen him described today as injury–prone, with occasional problems marking and in the air. So those qualities coupled with the fact that he'll be off to the ACN every other January makes him sound like just the type of player that we would sign. :(

But no, in all seriousness I really cannot see a player deemed not good enough to make the grade at Dinamo Kyiv being signed by Wenger for the same amount of money he got Vermaelen for. There are way better players potentially available for not a lot more cash (Subotic, Kjaer, Zapata, Sakho, Vertonghen etc).

To the person who said this ''Firstly Artur Boruc is better than Alan Mcgregor and yous are wanting 5–6 mill Boruc will be at the world cup so it will be double 2 mill believe me. Secondy you sold Alan Hutton for 9 mill Mcgeady is a better attacker and why would he go for 2 mill when celtic have already rejected bids in the region of 7–9 mill expect at least 9''

Are u deluded? Boruc is not better than McGregor he is at fault for goals weekly! And I hate to tell you Poland DID NOT QUALIFY FOR THE WORLD CUP!! So Boruc will not be there he will be sold for around £2million. Secondly Hutton and McGeady, chalk and cheese different positions, and hutton sold at a time when we weren't in a recession! McGeady to be sold for no more than £5 million. Rumours I have heard about Celtic are

Some of the Liverpool and Man Utd fans on here are deluded. How on earth do you think your clubs can afford the likes of Silva, Kaka and Aguero? Man Utd are in £500m debt so will keep spending to an absolute minimum (why do you think they offered new contracts to giggs, neville etc?). Liverpool on the other hand don't have Champions League to offer anyone and they will also not acquire the money they need to buy big name players by not qualifying for the Champions League. Cheap, young buys are the most that either team can hope for and should Torres go (which is more than likely) then the money will be snapped up by the Americans as they see him as an asset that will decrease the price of Liverpool should they sell the club.

Onto real rumours..

I head Chris Hughton will make minimum changes at Newcastle and perhaps 3 or 4 coming in at tops and no–one for more than 5–6 mil. Probably a CB AM and a Forward. Possibly a return for Gary Caldwell, Tom Cleverley on loan and Robbie Keane on loan.

Keep it REAL

Mourinho will leave Inter at the end of the season (likely as a European Champion again). This will see moves for Maicon, A.Cole, Carvalho, Gerrard and Tevez. Leaving will be Metzelder, Drenthe, Raul, Guti, M.Diarra, L.Diarra, Van Der Vaart and possibly Kaka (if the money is right).
Benzema could be loaned out if a deal for David Silva is agreed. Mourinho would love to bring Sneijder back to the Bernabeu but it would take a big, big bid and Real are unlikely to pay big money for a player they sold just last summer.

anyone who knows anyone in this city will tell you that everyone knows gerrard is heading for spain next season, apparently he s sick and tired of all the drama that goes on in liverpoolgood luck to him anyway probably one of the greatest to ever wear the shirt(except king kenny) and as for torres, well the house he was renting is back on the market..fact! i actually work in the letting office and i know hes not buying it anyway..are boss said his agent told him he loved the club and the fans but is to concerned about the physical demands of the prem, and if he was ever to leave it would be to go back to spainbarcelona perhaps? apparently his wife don't like it much here i guess she sick of all are sunshine

Doncaster Rovers fans need not worry. O'Driscoll is staying put and not moving to Pompey. He is dedicated to the team and believes next season will be a major one for the Rovers. John Ryan will be splashing a bit of cash this summer with Billy Sharp signing a 4 year deal and if Leeds don't make it to the Championship then Snodgrass could be down the M62 to Doncaster.
You could even see a couple more Arsenal players loaned to us, as we play the style of football Arsene likes.
And the David James thing may well come off, all depending on what other offers are on the table, i.e if any Prem teams come in for him.

I can't believe how many deluded Arsenal and liverpool fans there are on here! youd think that they had all the money in the world if you were going off herefair enough arsenal may have abit of cash to spend but liverpool certainly haven't got a pot to pss in.

Mancini is to stay at city, and city to strenghtern in defence with the signing of boateng which is a done deal, philipp lahm and maicon – to strenghtern in midfield with the purchase of cambiasso and adebayor going the other way and a bid for torres and gerrard to test liverpools need for £££££ and a bid for david villa!
players out – bridge, richard, petrov, SWP santa cruz

You make me laugh you muppet! You try and pass off the Arsenal rumours off as delusional and then spout on a load of crap about how you'll sign Torres, Maicon and Gerrard? Listen fella, you failed to make the CL. Which means you can forget about signing any of the major players. The only thing that will make anyone sign for you this summer is money and that means more mediocre mercenaries like Adebayor, Lescott and Barry! Like Maicon is going to leave Inter (probably as a European Cup winner) for a pony outfit in the Europa League! You blew your chances when you got rid of Hughes. I hope Mancini does stay because he couldn't land you lot a title for love or money! Maicon will be joining Mourinho at Real Madrid as will Gerrard and Tevez. Gerrard wants to leave the country to escape his private life, a brief journey down the M62's hardly going to change a great deal there is it you plum! Tevez has had enough of Mancini's man management and carrying the team. As for Torres, he wants out because the English winter is no good for his dodgy legs, he also doesn't want to be at a club who isn't competing in the CL. So why would he swap sht for shie?

As for deluded? Arsenal are officially the 4th richest club in the world. The sale of property in Armoury Square (Highbury) will only strengthen this over the next couple of years. They have substantial funds available this summer (having spent minimally last year) and are capable of attracting the top players thanks to Wenger's playing style and coaching methods. On their way out are Almunia (£3–4m), Denilson (£6–8m), Rosicky (£4–5m), Sagna (£15–18m), Simpson (£2–3m) and Traore (£2m). Collectively, this should raise over £35m. There is an additional £50m available from the board (£30m Premiership TV money, £20m from Champions League revenue, remainder to be used to reduce loans). Add to that the loans of Wilshere, Eduardo, Vela and Mannone and that frees further capital on wages. Plus the departure of Gallas, Merida and Senderos on frees and well, I'll leave you to do the maths! Arsenal have money and they will strengthen with top quality players. As for City..good luck – you'll need it!

man united won't sign big, its an awful thing to have to admit but were not the big spenders and premier league dominant force atm. fergie will sign a couple more players like ronaldo and turn them into world stars but seriously ladies stop with the CRAZYYYYY rumours

Should Cole fail to agree extended terms with Chelsea, he will relish a move to Spurs and work with Harry Redknapp/Jermaine Defoe again. As for the ridiculous rumour posted about Modric moving to Man Utd with Berbatov in return – are you having a laugh? Berbatov is about as welcome at White Hart Lane as a pork pie buffet at Southgate Synagogue! Modric now has what he wanted – CL football. Man Utd can go whistle in the wind. Heading out of White Hart Lane though will be Alan Hutton (Newcastle/Sunderland/Birmingham), Keane (Villa), Jenas (Fulham), Woodgate (anyone who will take the risk). Expect a cut price move for Huntelaar (not the quickest but good at holding the ball up though), but Edin Dzeko, Luis Suarez and Gonzalo Higuain will not be coming in (way too expensive). Gudjohnsen to sign a permanent deal.

"Spanish radio are reporting real madrid has signed messi"
How can they the transfer window is closed and do you really think Barca will do this while they are 1 point ahead of Madrid with 2 games to go .
My guess its political game from Madrid based radio station to cause instability within Barcelona , in case you don't know the Madrid vs Barcelona is not just two rival football clubs , its Catalonia against the spanish kingdom. {editor's note – if Real Madrid match Messi's buyout clause it would be possible though wouldn't it? It would just mean Messi can't move until the window opens, but there is nothing to stop the deal being agreed beforehand, I believe. Though I have to say I agree with you about it being about destabilising Barca.}

I have heard from numerous people about either JP Mcmanus and co buying out Dermot Desmond at Celtic or investing money alongside him to develop the Football Club.

Part of this would also see the return of Martin Oneill as Manager.

Not sure how true this is but has anyone else heard this.

Doncaster Rovers are close to agreeing a fee with Sheffield United for striker Billy Sharp. The possible transfer will involve an immediate fee of roughly £750,000 with the possibility of it reaching £1, 200,000 based on appearances, goals and league position.

Doncaster Rovers are also hopefull of landing defenders Jason Shackell and Elliott Ward. Due to finances and the likely transfers of Billy Sharp, Doncaster may have to settle for a 6 month loan deal for Shackell. Ward is available on a free transfer.

ARSENAL
According to Wenger he will make 2 to 3 signings. Assuming one is Chamakh, I expect a centre back & a goalkeeper. As is usual with Wenger these will be well thought out sensible purchases that are not expected.
1st team squad departures: Definites..Senderos & Sylvestre..Probables..Almunia, Merida, Traore, Gallas. Possibles..Eduardo, Vela (loan), Campbell.
The new rules will affect signings as you will only be allowed a squad of 25 players over 21 on Jan 10th 2010, of which 8 must qualify as homegrown players.

After seeing da silva begin to show his true potential he is looking to bring in Victor Caceres on a cheap deal before his value soars in the world cup.

Other players targeted – Hutton and Ireland

Liverpool have signed Joe Ledley on a free transfer. This transfer will be the start of a partnership with Liverpool and Cardiff with Liverpool giving players on loan to Cardiff and Cardiff giving first option to Liverpool on future stars. They will also play a friendly at the Millenium stadium this summer in July

06 May 2010 13:08:04
Now that a pre–season friendly with Newcastle has been confirmed, Norwich will be re–signing Fraser Forster on loan for next season. Leon Clarke will also join on a free–transfer, if Leeds do not go up then Lambert will make a move for Snodgrass, while also focussing his attention on Ricky Lambert, Darren Carter and potentially David Wright. I know this as I work around the club and have heard mutterings. Watch this space!

06 May 2010 12:52:56
ARSENAL: Those claiming Inter's Mario Balotelli is a target – think again! His attitude is appalling and having experienced the likes of Anelka and Adebayor in the past, Wenger will not be pursuing the hot headed striker this summer. Instead, his prime target is Giampaolo Pazzini (Sampdoria) – an experienced International with a decent return rate over the last 3 seasons. With Chamakh already confirmed on a free, this could also leave Chelsea's Joe Cole as the SECOND free transfer Gazidis was referring to recently. Should anything evolve from recent media speculation regarding Arshavin, then Cole would be an ideal replacement. One thing is for sure though – Barcelona are NOT interested in Andrei Arshavin. The strength in depth they have in the squad already – Iniesta, Xavi, Bojan, Assulin, Busquets, Messi, Pedro, means that a £20m transfer fee for the Russian playmaker would simply not make business or footballing sense. Barca's prime target this summer will be Fernando Torres and all available finances will be concentrated on this deal only. Should they fail however, David Silva is their second choice. Thierry Henry will be released to play for the New York Red Bulls. Barcelona are however interested in LB Gael Clichy. Any deal involving Clichy however would likely be player plus cash with one of Yaya Toure, Bojan, Gai Assulin and Eric Abidal in the frame. Kieran Gibbs would be elevated to first choice LB with an experienced player purchased as back up (unless of course the deal involves Abidal). The three other key areas that need strengthening are GK, CB and CDM. As Wenger has already stated, he is only looking at experienced players to cover these positions. Despite talk of Phillipe Mexes, Lamine Sakho and Neven Subotic, the favourite to replace Gallas is in fact Pape Malickou Diakhaté of Dinamo Kyiv (currently on loan at St Etienne). Diakhate is a 26 yr old Senegalese International, plenty of experience and can also cover effectively at LB (very much like Gallas). The one disadvantage though is his height, at 6'1, he is only marginally taller than Vermaelen. With Senderos leaving and Djourou still to prove his fitness and form, Wenger will also look at a 3rd CB. A deal for Gary Cahill is on the cards – first refusal was part of the loan deal for Jack Wilshere and which could also see Carlos Vela at the Reebok Stadium for 2010/11. GK – Rene Adler will now miss the World Cup through injury, but could be wearing the No.1 shirt for the Gunners next season. The 25 yr old German is a solid shot stopper and comes highly recommended by Jens Lehmann. Whilst he heads the current list of targets, Hugo Lloris (24), Maarten Stekelenburg (28) and Sebastien Frey (30) are all still in the frame. A £20m deal for Gianluigi Buffon (32) is highly unlikely.
CDM – With Alex Song impressing in the role this season, there is a lesser focus now to sign Felipe Melo. Should Juventus agree on a player plus cash deal involving Bacary Sagna however, a move could still be on the cards. This would however mean replacing Sagna with Ajax's Gregory Van Der Wiel with Eboue in reserve. Players in consideration for the CDM berth are Belgian Axel Witsel (21) of Standard Liege, Albanian Llorik Cana (27) of Sunderland, French Blaise Matuidi (23) of St Etienne and French Jeremy Toulalan (26) of Lyon. Toulalan can also play CB which could certainly work in his favour. Two could be signed – Toulalan (£6–8m) to play alongside Song with either Witsel (£3–5m) or Matuidi (£5–6m) in reserve. This would mean Denilson being sold however.
Should a free transfer for Joe Cole be agreed, then do not expect to see Eden Hazard in this summer. This would be a shame as his valuation will only increase. Wenger could probably take him from Lille for around £15m right now and he's a player we don't want to miss out on. Having seen the potential in this kid, i'd be happy to sacrifice Arshavin for him. The pace of Hazard and Walcott combined with either Chamakh or Van Persie in a central role would be an awesome combination.

MAN CITY: Major changes this summer! With the club now knowing it will be the Europa Cup and NOT the Champions League next season, expect to see the following changes: Mancini OUT. All talk of his job being safe is rubbish. His catennacio style has not impressed the fans Who will replace him is anyone's guess –the Manager's market isn't exactly overflowing right now. It's become somewhat of a poisoned chalice and despite the money available, every manager knows that time will not be on his side should they agree to take over. One for sure who will rule himself out is Mourinho, who is replacing Manuel Pellegrini at Real Madrid. He knows that if he took the CIty job, his dream of becoming Ferguson's successor one day would be null and void. He also would not want to work under meddling chairmen having fallen foul of Abramovich and his tinkering tactics. Tevez is likely to head off to join Mourinho at Real in a deal worth around £45m. This could see Karim Benzema or Gonzalo Higuain heading the opposite way (although Chelsea are favourites to land Higuain). With Mancini leaving, Bellamy could yet stay. Santa Cruz is being looked at by several German clubs, Sylvinho and Viera will also be released (he was so ineffective last night!). AC Milan may also see this as a perfect opportunity to finally land Emmanuel Adebayor. His agent is unlikely to accept a second season without CL football.

TOTTENHAM: With the knowledge that they will be a Champions League team next season, Levy will as always make cash available for strengthening the squad. The likes of Modric, Palacios and Defoe are unlikely to move on now they have the chance to compete with the best. Two clouds on the horizon though – they will first need to ensure qualification in August before commiting themselves to the real money the CL provides (remember what happened to Everton), the second being Harry Redknapps impending court case. Levy appreciates what Redknapp has done for the club, but doesn't particularly rate him as anything else than the manager of his team. Should the courts decide that Redknapp was guilty, Levy will cut him loose. Tottenham do not need the bad exposure. Still, expect to see a CB to cover crocks King and Woodgate and the usual expensive forward that fails to deliver! Robbie Keane to be sold to Villa for around £8–10m. Spurs likely to push on and ensure Liverpool, Villa and City remain behind them in the

Buffon is said to be interested in a move to arsenal although won't negotiate any move untill after the world cup also price tag may be a stumbling block unless player exchange can reduce the price. any ideas who may be used in the deal?

Nobody cos its a non starter! Pure media speculation. When has Wenger ever paid money for anyone over 30? Buffon is now 32 and despite the fact that he's an excellent keeper and could still have another 4 yrs in him, it goes against AFC's transfer policies (try explaining that to Gallas after he's been released for turning down a 12 month deal). As long as Juventus demand over £15m for this player, he'll remain at the club. Nobody in their right mind would lay out £20m for someone his age.

06 May 2010 12:46:11
To the idiot who suggests that Cahill would replace Gerrard at Analfield – Cahill has already said that there is not enough money in the world that would make him want to join Liverpool. Gerrard will go to Inter under a cloud of speculation, Torres the ladyboy will go to city or chelski and Benitez will waste the income on rubbish from Spain. Power shift in Merseyside….
Moyes on the other hand will be clever in the market yet again – Charlie Adam from Blackpool in a 2.5mil deal!

06 May 2010 12:45:03
Don't know if this is true but heard at work that celtic are after Darren Ambrose, Kris Commons, Phil Bardsley, Jose Goncalves, Gary Hooper and Matt Derbyshire

06 May 2010 12:33:48
Don't expect anything much from liverpool in the market over summer. With 2 or 3 signings rafa can have a squad strong enough to qualify for champs league minimum, there will be one big money signing, likely to be a left sided player (turan or mata) likely to cost about 18 million, we will then rely on frees likely to be jovanovic and cole. Only other signings will be youngsters.

Gonna need a lot of flair and heart to get us back to our best.

I am amazed by the amount of money you lot think Liverpool and Arsenal are going to spend – They don't have any money. Gerard will be leaving with Cahill from Everton replacing him and Fabregas will stay for one more year. On another note Milner and Young will be staying at Villa as they will be able to start each week. Carrick and Kuyt will be Villa's only signings. Finally Essien will be going to United replacing Carrick. He will be joined by Joe Cole on a free transfer.

yh liverpool don't have any money but if you did your homework arsenal are the 4th richest club in the world at the moment with all the profits they have made over the years and others have loss

Liverpool are in the stter! Owners will not budge from their revised £500m price. Add a new stadium and debt, the owners would need at least a £1bn to put Liverpool on a sound financial footing, then add the amount required to build a team capable of finishing top4! Have heard grumblings that Torres and Gerrard will leave if Benitez stays at the club! Rafa to resign this week, with King Kenny and Sammy Lee in charge for last game and until a new manager in place. Owners have a list of Martin O'Neill, Jose Mourinho, Avram Grant and Sven Goran Eriksson(after WC) to take over.

In regards to this post –

"Tottenham Hotspur FC

Out; Alan Hutton, Robbie Keane, Gareth Bale, Jamie O'Hara, Jermaine Jenas, Luka Modric, Heurelho Gomes, Roman Pavlyuchenko

Keeping Eidur Gudjohnsen to replace Keane is the key objective for Tottenham and they will look to add a forward if Roman leaves for Everton, Birmingham, Newcastle, Roma or Russia (all possible). Craig Bellamy is the key target but Oscar Cardozo, Klass Jan Huntelaar, Eden Dzeko, John Carew, Gabriel Obertan, Luis Suarez, Connor Wickham, Danny Welbeck and Steve Leo Beleck are all possibilities. Dimitar Berbatov could possibly be part of a Modric swap deal.

For Gomes, Sergio Asenjo, Stipe Pletikosa, Adam Federici, Doni, Robert Green, Ben Foster and Kasper Schmeichel are all under consideration.

In the midfield, Guti, Lassana Diarra, Steven Pienaar, Hamit Altintop, Stephen Ireland, Joe Cole, Michael Carrick, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Pedro Leon, Tom Cairney, Javi Marquez, Adam Lallana are all being considered to join Sandro who has already signed.

For defenders, Matthew Upson, James Tomkins, Adam Matthews, Craig Dawson, Emmanuel Mbola, Micah Richards, Wes Brown and Gary Cahill are all being considered."

i'm pretty sure Redknapp doesn't want to sell Bale, Modric, Pavlyuchenko or Gomes after their performances that lifted us into the Champions League! he's even stated that if Spurs are to develop he can't sell Modric and the like!

LFC Info>

The media are speculating over Benitez' meeting with Broughton, Rafa has realised now not only mourinho is favourite for the madrid job, juventus will not give him complete 100% control over the first team and academy etc.. however they are offering him alot of money to spend. Now there is speculation that torres and gerrard's relationship with benitez has deterioated.. this is 100% true, Gerrard and Torres both have doubts about his managerial abilities but would never say publicly. Behind the scenes Gerrard is helping with the potential take over at LFC. As any potential owner will want to speak wit him, carra and torres. Torres nor gerrard will not be sold this summer, they both want to give the club one more go as they are aware of how successful LFC can be. However, they both crave to be under the management of Mourinho.. alot of people are talking about torres being injured but Harry Kewell openly criticised LFCs medical staff and Torres has the same opinion. Liverpool will be hoping that they can tie up a deal sometime in the near future as if a takeover is imminent then the club will keep the top players and begin to move in the right direction. 100% true

I wish clown on this it would stop writing crap as Robert Snodgrass, he won't leave Leeds for any championship and why would he? the lad was asked to have a trial with Barcelona last year but turned then down, in Jan he said he loves Leeds and won't leave unless the club wants him out.
Jermaine Beckford if he doesn't sign a new contract then hes off to everton fact! not newcastle, norwich or anyother team, its either leeds or everton fact. M.O.T

Summer 2010 UCL Qualified EPL Teams

Chelsea FC:

Out; Deco, Ballack, Joe Cole, Belletti, Ferreira, Anelka, Kalou

Van der Vaart is surplus to requirement at Real with Franck incoming and makes the most obvious sense, but Liverpool, Man U and Citeh are also in that chase, not keen on spending more than 10 million on him. Pjanic has really stood up during the CL but i've also heard that Perez has been after him since he sent RM out. Dzagoev has drawn interest from Man U but is a big Frank Lampard and Chelsea fan, he's a bit small but talented, impressed in the CL and Zhirkov means there's another Russian about at Chelsea. Alex Teixeira was the real star of the youth World Cup in Egypt and has recently moved from Brazil to Shaktar Donetsk, undeniably talented the next big name Brazilian attacking mid, could be good to get him before he's worth a fortune ala Pato. Hamsik will almost certainly not be coming to Chelsea he's extended his contract with Napoli seems to like Italy and with Inter coming courting both of his PL suitors, us and united will probably miss out. David Silva will probably end up staying in Spain, as good as he'd be he is not the most likely of the group. Outside chances are Danny and Ki Sung–Yueng from Celtic is also possible and would be a good player particularly to help push Chelsea's economic self sufficiency. Kaka is also possible if part of a swap with RM for Ashley Cole.

Contractually Ballack is still up in the air, he's been linked with Liverpool (not happening), Inter (maybe), Bayern (most likely). If he goes Schweinstiger is the obvious replacement, i don't see anyone in the youth system with the fortitude of Ballack, though i like Stoch he's not as imposing as Ballack, neither is Matic. Yoann Gourcuff and Ashley Young are certainly quality players who would work well in the team. Matic will have a role to play but we need a true replacement for Michael as Matic won't be truly ready for a few years yet.

Joe Cole is all but gone with a myriad of suitors after him. Front runner Angel di Maria aside, the options boil down to Miroslav Stoch, Gai Assulin and Thaigo Alcantara both of whom's availability is determined by what happens in Barcelona during the transfer period, particularly regarding Cesc, and the man from their cross town rival's Javi Martinez. Hatem Ben Arfa and Mata are highly unlikely, but either would be great.

Neven Subotic, David Luiz and Bruno Alves have all been mentioned, with Luiz probably the best option to replace Belletti and Ferreira. Darijo Srna has also been mentioned but will be unlikely to move. Giorgio Chiellini would be a great signing but is unlikely. Thiago Silva has also recently emerged as apossible target.

For Anelka, the clear front runner is Aguero, his class is apparent to all. Pato seems destined to one day join Chelsea my guess another year of failure at Milan will convince him to jump ship. Finally there is Luis Suarez who we apparently have first refusal on, presumably a refusal we'll only act upon if Citeh outbids us in the race for Aguero. David Villa and Fernando Torres are both highly unlikely (Barca, Citeh RM, staying on, more likely) but neither can be ruled out completely.

As for Kalou there are several options, Moussa Dembele a highly talented and strong physical forward, who fits in well with our style of play. Though potentially outclassed by rising stars Romelu Lukaku and Lacina Traore any of those four would be good signings. There is also Neymar and he should be considered a serious contender for Kalou's job. Romelu Lukaku is a must! One more player who should be considered is Takayuki Morimoto another player who could help end our Abro reliance through Japanese merch sales and he's pretty talented to boot.

As for Ashley Cole, Juan Manuel Vargas is the only real option I see, I hope we don't loose Ashley, though Vargas is good. Dani Alves obvioulsy plays on the right and is not a real option to replace Ashley, but could be part of swap deal with Barca for Ashley, while if Real win the chase then perhaps a Kaka unhappy at Real could rejoin Carlo at Stamford Bridge.

For youth signings, Urreta would be great alongside Kakuta or di Maria he's probably a 2012 signing. Christian Eriksen and Romelu Lukaku should be key targets.

Manchester United FC:

Out; Berbatov, Vidic, Carrick, Tomasz Kuszczak, Tom Cleverley, Zoran Tosic, Owen, Fabio (loan)

For Berbatov and Owen a swap deal with Milan for Klaas Jan Huntelaar is quite likely though a swap with Sevilla for Luis Fabiano is also possible. Aguero is an outside chance particularly if Pato signs with Chelsea. Chicarito has already signed and Takayumi Morimoto, Neymar and Alexis Sanchez are still possibles. Mirko Vucinic is attracting interest from both United and City. Robinho would definitely be worth a cheeky bid. Andy Carroll could be alright as well. Higuain is another unlikely signing.

Vidic will form part of a swap deal for Benzema. Marnick Vermijl as well as the confirmed signings of Dodo and Chris Smalling will take over the defensive role. Giorgio Chiellini, Gary Cahill, Gareth Bale, Neven Subotic and David Luiz are unlikely signing but one that might happen.

To replace Carrick and Tosic, Miguel Veloso and Jack Rodwell will both be bought in anticipation of Scholes or Giggs moving on at the end of season. Man U will also compete for David Silva, Milos Krasic and Angel di Maria with Chelsea and Man City, Hazard with Arsenal and will seek Joe Cole for a Bosman signing. Hamsik seems headed to Inter so SAF will concentrate on Defour, Gourcuff, Hatem Ben Arfa, Milner, Ashley Young, Pienaar, Lassana Diarra and Ki Sung–Yueng. RVDV would be good if Chelsea/ Liverpool don't sign him. Luka Modric, Jack Rodwell and Miguel Veloso are probably the most likely signings.

For Kuszczak, Manuel Neuer, Hugo Lloris and Gianluigi Buffon are the front runners though Igor Akinfeev may be snatched from under Chelsea's nose if deals cannot be secured with one of the others. There is also the possibility that De Gea may get the gong.

Arsenal FC:

Out; Almunia, Rosicky, Senderos, Merida, Silvestre, Eduardo, Diaby, Vela (loan)

Almunia: Hugo Lloris, Manuel Neuer, Doni, Sergio Romero, Gianluigi Buffon, Sebastien Frey, Yohann Pele and Robert Green are all being considered to replace Almunia. Joe Hart is also a possibility.

Rosicky: Eden Hazard or possibly Yoann Gourcuff or Steven Defour in will go in a part trade deal for Rosicky.

Senderos: will be replaced by one of Micah Richards, Gregory van der Wiel, Bede Hangeland, Phil Jones, Cesar Azpilicueta, Gary Cahill and Simon Kjaer.

Merida and Diaby: Felipe Melo and either Charles N'Zogbia, Ander Herrera, Jack Rodwell, Clement Chantome, James McCarthy, Steven NZonzi or Scott Parker will quite possibly come in to assist Song in the defensive midfield allowing Cesc and Hazard room further forward.

Silvestre: Mamadou Sakho, Kamil Zayatte, Stefan Savic, Martin Caceres, Neven Subotic, James Tomkins and Steven Mouyokolo are all options being lined up to replace Silvestre.

Eduardo: Chamakh will come in Bosman, there will be no other forwards signed unless AW gets a good deal for Hugo Rodallega, Mauro Zarate, Abel Hernandez, Carlton Cole, Takayuki Morimoto, Giampaolo Pazzini or Loic Remy. Will compete with Chelsea for Lukaku and Eriksen at youth level.

Tottenham Hotspur FC

For defenders, Matthew Upson, James Tomkins, Adam Matthews, Craig Dawson, Emmanuel Mbola, Micah Richards, Wes Brown and Gary Cahill are all being considered.

If in the unlikely event of Torres going , Liverpool are going to use the £70million + to fund moves for two Aguero and Benzema.Rafa is going to discuss this with the new chairman and if he cannot re–invest money raised from sales he will walk.WARNING REST IS JUST OPINION Torres is in my opinion when fully fit the best out and out striker in the world and im sure if he could stay fit for a whole season he would break the 40 goal barrier but this is the major problem, I love Torres as much as the next Liverpool fan but maybe it would be better for the club if we were getting £70million+ and as long as we sell abroad{Barca or Italy}, there is nothing more I would hate than to see him wearing a Man. City or Chelsea jersey but as I said if he goes abroad and we get that amount we could have to great strikers with some money to spare granted they arent as good as El Nino but maybe in time, these two are 21 and 22 and would make a fantastic partnership. All in all I would prefer Nando to stay and get fully fit im just saying if his injuries persist and in 1 years time we still rely so heavily on him and he's again out for 2–3 months or whatever we are again screwed , I hope he stays but no player is bigger than the club.

I work at pittodrie in an admin role and regularly find myself in a 'fly on the wall' position..

i have signed a disclaimer to keep me quiet, however i am being made redundant at the end of the season and have nothing to lose as in a second cost cutting measure, the board have found a loop–hole to avoid any 'package' being paid!!

so here goes..

out–
aluko is going to middlesboro
a deal has been done for macguire to stay at killie
zander is finally off to celtic
maclean is not being offered a deal
fyvie has been linked to west ham, wigan and birmingham in recent weeks

in–
there have been serious talks of a link–up with manchester united and it looks as though it's finally going to happen this summer. macheda, wellbeck, cleverly, potts, heaton and fabio are all likely to be sent u for 'toughening up', allowing the dons to lose some of the dead wood at no real cost to the club.

i'm the guy that has all but set this up from this end. sir alex maintains he always wanted this kind of deal in place and is keen to push it through in his final year in charge.

thanks for reading.

BREAKING NEWS!! I just got a call from my source who said that Rafa Benitez is meeting Broughton to hand in his resignation. The meeting is not about transfer money as mentioned in the media. People around the club have known about this for weeks. Stevie G, Carra have both mentioned Reina as future captain. This was because they knew Rafa had agreed terms with Juve and Rafa had been told that Gerrard will be SOLD to pay interest payments. Torres will also leave 100%. I'm gutted. YNWA

Moyes is is willing to try his luck with the team he has. he issues are the team is thin and can't take another year of injuries. Also short of the forever takeover (won't happen til all is lost) there not enough cash to upgrade much. Best possible case is to keep everyone and upgrade the right side with Onuoha (Man City) RB and Donovan (MLS) LW. That will make:

Howard
Onuoha Jags Johnny/Distin Baines
Rodwell Fellaini
Donovan/Anichebe Arteta Piennar/Billy
Cahill
Saha/Yak

Competitive if thay all stay on the pitch

Roberto Mancini's contract will not be renewed and therefore he will leave after their last game. He will not be sacked as mentioned on here earlier. Man City have Fabio Capello at the top of their list. They will offer him silly money. Mourinho has agreed to go to Real so no longer available.

Arda Turan's agent is currently negotiating a wage package with Liverpool..the fee of 11 million plus El Zhar has been agreed and only wages have to be agreed. For all you very optomistic southampton fans out there, rob hulse will leave derby but for 4million minimum, and westham, Coventry and middlesbrough are lining up bids so god knows how your giong to get him for 1 million ! Chris commons is not for sale and nigel clough says he will only be sold for a stupendous amount of around 10 million so its not happening basically. jay mceverly and gary teale have been released and could go to southampton but plymouth are also interested as they had teale on loan earlier this season. As for derby's signings, derby are linked with gary hooper, nicky maynard, john brayford, john rooney, lee carsley, Tommy Smith, tomas cywka ( just signed ) and dave martin ( just signed ). But the teams interested in hooper are derby wolves, celtic, bristol city, west brom, southampton ( apparently ), and coventry.

05 May 2010 23:00:22
Was told by Paddy Mc Court's mate that gary hooper will sign for celtic for a fee of £3.6 million. also Micky O'Connor will sign for celtic. Neil Lennon will stay and paddy is leaving to go on loan to WBA.
