Norwich City boss Paul Lambert has been promised a significant portion of the Premiership payments to strengthen the squad. He looks set to go back in for Peterborough's Craig Mackail-Smith, Danny Green of Dagenham and Doncaster's James Coppinger; three players he wanted regardless of which division he found himself in.
Meetings have been scheduled with the current squad for the end of next week. It is expected we will learn which of the players out of contract are due to be released.

Ian Thomas-Moore has fallen out with Rotherham manager Andy Scott. Moore was left out of the match day squad for the final game of the season against Torquay. A Twitter comment (that was later removed) criticising Scott for his team selection did not go down well. Moore has been unhappy at The Millers since his dad Ronnie was sacked earlier in the season. He is also finding the daily travelling from his home in Warrington stressful. Tranmere, Crewe, Bury & Rochdale are all monitoring the situation. Moore may also be in line for a player manager's role at Wrexham who are looking to replace Dean Saunders.

David Jones has told Cardiff's owners that if they don't go up this season, he will be leaving in the summer for Blackburn.
Jones has fallen out with a number of players, and does not like Gethin Jenkins (his boss). His house in Porthcawl is going to be put on the market with Bairstow Eves and he is taking his family back to Cheshire (possibly Alderley Edge).
Cardiff already speaking with Aidy Boothroyd about taking over.

Leeds are looking for a left back with George McCartney to sign a perminate deal with the club or sign Chelsea youngster Patrick Van Aanholt on loan. Another possiblity is that Leeds could signing Keith Southern in the summer. There was alot of speculation about this in January but Leeds could do the deal in summer.

Eddie Howe will begin his Turf Moor revolution by shipping out ageing Turf Moor stalwarts Steve Thompson, Graham Alexander, Michael Duff, Chris Iwelumo and Clarke Carlisle.
He plans to drastically reduce the average age of the squad and has his sights set on a set of lower league gems he knows very well.

Shane Long's wikipedia page is wrong. Here's a tip google "Shane Long Contract" and click the first link it will be a BBC article stating, as I already have, that he signed a one year extension at Reading in November. So no Norwich won't get him on a free and I very much doubt he would go there anyways considering Newcastle and Birmingham are interested.

Todays rumours to be focused on Chelsea, Arsenal and Everton.
Chelsea:
Firstly, after todays defeat my sources claim its the final straw for Ancelotti and he will be gone at the end of the season. No names as such have been drawn up yet but I expect the usual names to be linked i.e. Hiddink, Mourinho, Guardiola, Villas-Boas, Deschamps and Lippi. I personally expect Mourinho to stay on at Real so either Villas-Boas, Deschamps or Lippi for me. Roman will try and buy success this summer and is looking at a Right Back, Two Centre Midfielders, A Winger and A Striker. At right back Van Der Wiel, Rafinha, Azpilicueta, Santon and Vrsaljko being linked. Wallace is another option. In the centre with Mikel expected to leave a CM and an eventual replacement for Lampard will be brought in. Hamsik, Pirlo, Sahin, Palombo, Sissoko, Witsel, Annan, Matuidi and Tiote are being touted for the Mikel role and as for the replacement for Lampard there is interest in Pastore, Ganso, Kagawa, Dzagoev and Eriksen. Big news on the winger is that Roman wants Sanchez. And what Roman wants, he usually gets. Others being courted for the role are Mata, Hazard, Payet, Marin, Affelay and don't be suprised if Arshavin comes in, maybe a swap involving Kalou as Wenger is a big fan. Up top the usual being linked are Neymar, Lukaku and Aguero. To add to this list Willian, Iturbe and being linked. Roman may also go for Kaka who has been reportedly put up for sale by Madrid but there is also strong interest from Man City, Man U, AC, Inter and a couple of Brazilian teams. Leaving will likely be Bosingwa, Zhirkov, Mikel, Kalou, Bertrand, Hilario, Anelka and Mancienne. Sturridge will not be loaned or sold and Malouda will also be used as more of a central midfielder.
Arsenal:
After being beaten today again, crisis talks will be made between the board and Wenger questioning his decisions about the first team and whether he wants to build a youth squad or a team to challenge for titles. Wenger will definitely not leave Arsenal but there is a tiny, tiny, tiny chance he may become Director of Football. But I have huge doubts on this. Talks to improve have been ongoing and the Stoke defeat may change Wenger's mind about his team. Fabregas will most likely stay for a final season. Wenger may bring in a keeper but again there is a slim chance. Stekenlenburg, Buffon and Akinfeev have been touted. A new CB will most definitely be brought in. Targets include Sakho, Cahill, Mexes, Jones, Hummels, Subotic Samba and Mertesacker. Expect Sakho, Subotic, Mexes or Jones to join. A central midfielder is being courted with Menez, Howedes, Vertonghen, M'Vila, Melo, Gourcuff, A.Diarra and Parker. Two midfielders may be brought in as the versatility of Vertonghen, Diarra and Howedes is attracting Wenger with either Menez, Gourcuff, Parker or Melo joining them. On the wing, Hazard looked a dead cert for a few weeks but the talks have cooled until the summer. If Hazard doesn't join others mooted are Payet, Marin or Kalou, If Arshavin does leave those linked are Podolski, Hulk, Perotti, Willian and Pjanic. For the strike force, Benzema is the top target. Wenger is a huge fan and has been watching for years and I fully expect to see him in Arsenals colours next season. Alternative options include Falcao, Gameiro, Gignac, Milito, Bojan and Barrios. Chamberlain is likely be signed but loaned back to Southampton or signed in January. Leaving will be Almunia, Denilson, Eboue, Bendtner, Vela, Lansbury, Lehmann and maybe Rosicky and Arshavin.
Everton:
To start of Rodwell is likely to be sold to Man United for around 15 million plus Evans or Brown. Moyes will be given 5 million of this and the rest of other player sales. Yakubu, Vaughan, Anichebe, Yobo and maybe Bily. Moyes will stay as he has some kind of budget this year but this may be his last season. Once again Moyes will be wheeler dealing with his squad. Billy Jones is almost a certain to come in on a free. Evans or Brown will come in as part of the Rodwell deal. A DM will come in and Fernando Gago is someone of deep interest and is likely to come in. Reo-Coker, Denilson and Palacios are also of interest. Another Central Midfielder is likely and names being linked are Andy King, David Vaughan, Tomas Rosicky and Niko Kranjcar. For a winger, Vicente is a serious target and is on a free so is quite likely to join. If he doesn't, Jarvis, Eagles, N'Zogbia and Vukcevic are being touted. Two strikers are likely to come in, one being Klose but strong interest from Spurs may scupper the deal. Others of interest are Shane Long, Danny Graham and Dimitar Berbatov. Kevin Doyle will likely be signed if Wolves go down if they stay up, Ibesevic is of serious interest as well as Bellamy.

Before we get a truck load of rumours regarding QPR buying a load of superstars making their squad cost over £100 million, all new signings, let me tell you know, Niel Warnock has told me he will keep the core of his squad together and only buy a few players totalling overall around £20-30 million, the likes of Taarabt and Gorkss will get their chance at top flight footy, as will most of Norwich's team.

I wondered if it might be a mis spelling of Aly Cissokho but he's a left back (and a terrific player) but the above shows assou ekotto so assume Cilcaso is a right back but I've never hesard of him.

. . .The Derbyshire Times has learned that Derby FC face the prospect of a 10 point deduction for fianancial irregularaties over number of seasons, a move that would see the club relegated and give Lancashire club Preston a reprieve.
An FA spokesman told the Derbyshire Times. .
"This is a similar situation to the one at QPR but where that was just the one player this case involves several players both incoming and outgoing, and while a fine is certainly the least they can expect several members of the FA believe we need to send out a message to other clubs that this behaviour will not be tolorated and are pushing very hard for the poins deduction. A meeting with the club has been arranged for today to give them a chance to put across their side of events".

Robert Snodgrass will be leaving Leeds, almost certainly to the Premiership with Newcastle, Stoke and Everton, and West Bromwich Albion all interested. However, Glasgow Rangers are also considering a move, which may favour the player.
Craig Mackail-Smith is definitely one Leeds are looking at but will face competition from a host of clubs. David Nugent could prove a cheaper option (just my opinion though, not a rumour! )
This will be an interesting summer at Elland Road, with lots of ins and outs, but Gradel will be staying, from what i've heard, despite the rumours of interest.
Shane Higgs will be leaving, with Oxford United a possible destination, I understand.

Stoke won't be after Max Gradel, he wouldn't get a game with Pennant and Etherington on the flanks, benchwarmer at Stoke at best. Nice to see Leeds fans are so bothered about him going when we don't even need him. Yes you WERE a big club. And yes you still are a bigger city than Stoke in terms of population etc, yes you have a bigger crowd but all that is irrelevant with where your club is now, your not as big as Stoke anymore deal with it.
