Sky Blues linked with loan move for exciting Liverpool forward Ryan Kent. Would be a great addition and another piece to the jigsaw on what's already a team going in the right direction.

Deal going through with Kent going to Coventry on Wednesday or Thursday on 3 month emergency loan.
Rodgers said to prefer the Sky Blues as he wants Kent to play for a team that will be challenging at the top of their league.
Kent has already spoken with Tony Mowbray and has been sold on the type of play at the Ricoh Arena.
Preston, Swindon and MK Dons all out of the running for Kent.

@PNE Lad seems like your just waffling rubbish as no deal has been done for him yet why would he go to a team like PNE when he can play for a side who plays proper football unlike Prestons whack it up and hope for the best. The only team that may scupper our chances r Swindon Town as they have a great relationship with LPool and already have numerous LPool youngsters there including Anton Rodgers, Brendan Rodgers lad.

With us (Swindon) signing a number of players in the transfer deadline window its odds on he's going to Coventry as we now have a number of players in the position Kent would be used in.

Yeh that's why he's joined us so do one and regardless whether we have own stadium or not we're certainly a much bigger club than Swindon Town and PNE Kent was given the chance and has chose Coventry Preston never even been in the frame and don't worry we'll give you a wave as we pass you on the way up to the Championship and PNE coming back down.

Sorry Lad.
I'm a neutral but Kent is going to Coventry.
Having watched Coventry and Preston many times over the last 3 or 4 years, I must agree that Preston play "lump it football". Coventry are playing the sort of football under Mowbray that everybody wants to watch.
Coventry could well be on the rise whereas Preston will have done well to stay in the Championship.
This isn't a dig at Preston but Coventry are still a much bigger club than Preston.
Also (and I know I'm pedantic here) coventry don't own THEIR ground, not there.
I'm just letting people know the info that I hear and Preston are in no way involved in the Kent transfer.
I do believe that he would choose Cov ove PNE though as the style of play suits him much better.

Mrintheknow you are obviously not in the know! Even IF preston played 'Lump it up football' (which they don't), I would rather that and be in the championship, that play Barcelona type football in league one with the likes of Blackpool.

Adiwilko, don't kid yourself mate. Coventry are, at best, an average league one team going nowhere fast, who just so happen to have a good history. Who doesn't. Football doesn't go off history. Don't feel bad about it but your leage position says everything. You are a league one team. Preston are the bigger club, not massively so, but bigger. Last season's average attendances preston 10,852, Coventry 9,332.

Preston lad, there was never any way he was going to preston. Why would he? After they signed two recognised championship strikers on deadline day, and another 2/3 already on the books, would YOU want to go and sit on the bench? At least going to Coventry he would instantly be the best player at the club.

Just stating facts.

Jamaal lascelles is rumoured to be the defender preston are looking at from Newcastle.

{Ed001's Note - Kent usually plays on the wings, not sure what strikers have to do with his signing, but style of football was a big issue in the decision about where he goes.}

Kent said in his interview that he had several options but chose Coventry for their style of play. Preston were never in the mix though 3 championship clubs were shunned ( mk Dons, Bolton and Cardiff if rumours are to be believed). Preston Lad. Back in your basket youngun.

Also, cov entry's attendances are higher than Preston this year, does this mean they are bigger club?

10852 average attendance is absolutely appalling for a team who were near the top for the entire season. Coventry 9000 or whatever for a team who came a lot lower than they should have. If we were top for all season our attendances would be at least 15,000 maybe even 18,000 at a push.
