Obertan is being signed for the future not the present, Sir Alex will not sign another striker unless a great oppourtunity arises, he will sign a few more players to sure up his midfield as they were outclassed by barca. Interesting news from the midlands, Daniel Fox may be allowed to leave the Ricoh after all, as a makeweight which will see Rob Earnshaw leave the Cuty Ground after just one year. Earnshaw's physique and style of play don't sit well with Davies, who has already expressed his desire to return to a traditional 442 by signing powerhouse forwards Adebola, McGoldrick and as of Thursday, Blackstock. Earnshaw had a difficult time under Davies at Derby and although the pair a=worked well together towards the end of Forest's safety push last year, they are too incompatible tactically to serve them both. The deal will cost us £500K and our favoured left back.
I'm pretty dissapointed to see Fox, who I thought would move to a premiership club, used as a carrott for Forest who expressed an interest in Fox in May, when I don't think earnshaw will add much to our side. He'll score a few goals, but he doesn't change matches. Think we may have been stung on this one.

I work in the offices at Anfield and there are a number of good transfer possibilities available to the club. Firstly all these rumours of the club having no money are so far off the mark. Rafa has been assured the funds will be available for any transfers he requires, but Rafa feels we only need the addition of 2 or 3 to go one better than last year.
If Masch does go to Barca, Liverpool have requested £20m plus Henry on a 2 year contract and Bojan on a seasons long loan with an option to buy at the end.
If Xabi goes to Madrid, again expect the club to bag around £20m but this time the addition of Ruud Van Nist and Schneider as part of the deal.
The Barca option is the one Rafa prefers.
As a replacement for either Masch or Xabi, expect Mark Noble or Michael Johnson to fill the void.
Rafa is also keen to sign Micah Richards and an enguiry has also been made for Joe Cole as the Silva deal has gone cold. Looks like he is staying in Spain.

Ashley Young is going to be unveiled as a spurs player on Friday. Bentley and Huddlestone are going the other way +£8m. Seems like a good deal for both clubs as Randy Lerner is not keen to spend much cash this summer.
On a lighter note, Defour will join Everton £12.5m after hearing great things from ex teamate at S.Liege Felliani, Fowler to join Tranmere (help out his mate Jason McAteer) and Celtic will get Viduka (free) and Nolan (£3)from Newcastle and by early next week.

Yeah you got 80mil for ronaldo and have lost tevez but you've already signed 3 players to replace those 2. Owen, Obertan and Valencia will be the only forward players joining you lot. Forget talk of siging Eto'o, Ibra or Aguero, they are all too expensive for a club who won 3 trophies last season but still lost 40 mil in annual turnover. You have to realise that you are not in a real madrid situation and are in a worse financial postion than arsenal who made 40mil last year without winning a thing. Any signing you will make will be a CM as Hargreaves will not be fit to start the season and has doubts over the rest of his career. This is certainly not Toure who signed a new contract. Most likely is Gokhan Inler who has revealed he has recieved offers and one of them is from Utd for an estimated 12mil. THIS IS YOUR SUMMER DONE NOW STOP DREAMING.

Regarding Man United, as a fan I'm pretty gutted about our signings so far; Valencia being a poor mans Ronaldo, and Owen geting injured all the time. However if you think this is all our activity, i should expect not. Firstly SAF has always said that four strikers brings a championship, e.g Cole, Yorke, Ole, and Teddy. So i expect Owen is going to be our Ole, aka Super sub, and play a part in Carling cups and such like. Hopefully another striker will be signed, of which it is most likely to be Aguero for £40 million, maybe with Nani going the other way as they have expressed interest, or Huntelaar for £20 million. Furthermore, the midfield is likely to be shored up, with a greater possession game, with Sneider, De Rossi, and even Essien being mentioned to play that role. Essien seems unlikely, but Hargreaves will most likely see out his contract even if he recovers. After all, even Barca needs Yaya Toure to graft around their passing game. Valencia, Nani, Obertan, and Park are suitible wingers, but SAF to make a bid for Silva or a similar winger, not Young. A rightback may be signed as G.Neville is past it, so maybe Richards will sign.
Finally regarding the matter of funds, it had been reported as soon as Ronaldo was sold, Malcom Glazer promised to redirect funds straight to transfer, else he would face mutiny. You worry about the debt, but seeing as Man U brings in more money than any other club bar one, we will be fine, and every year we take a bite out of the debt. This post is based on how i see the situation, and what i have heard.

I have also seen Hamsik and again couldn't agree more. Fantastic prospect. Have heard that AC Milan will make moves to sign him for a fee reaching upwards of £15 million. However this is only if Juventus beat them to the signing of D'Agostini. Fee will be in a similar region. However if he doesn't leave Napoli look set to have a strong team with him and Guagliarella!

Following the big 7 joining at St.Anderws so far: Dann, Johnson, Espinoza, Bowyer, Benitez, Hart and Carr – McLeish is still chasing two or three players.
To raise funds/reduce wage bill the following will be sold or let go: McSheffrey (may raise £1m and is a top earner), Phillips – released, Martin Taylor (£500k – apparently Forest have been after him for while), Shroot, Doyle and Pearce have loans agreed already, Kelly has already gone to Fulham.
The targets as it stands are: Viera (Free from Inter but absurd wages – haggling at around £80k per week plus add ons), Joey Barton (Newcastle – possible loan but other players have expressed a concern and Sullivan does not want McLeish to rock the boat of a happy squad), Vela and Ramsey (Arsenal – loans are a possibility but the relationship between clubs has been strained since the Eduardo/Taylor 'incident'), the big shock move may be for Tuncay (Middlesborough – wants to play in the Prem and the bigger teams have not yet come calling so a quick move to finalise a deal – Money being the only issue – they want £6m and he wants £50k a week – may stop this from going through). Also, Manchester City are struggling to tie up the deal for Carlos Tevez, because Kia Joorabchian has persuaded Tevez that a U–turn and a move to Liverpool would do no harm, since Michael Owen has performed a similar move to Man Utd.
Tevez is starting to understand that the fans will forget him quickly, and so a move to Liverpool would be best, and he wouldn't have to move.
Tevez has completed a medical at Manchester City, but the deal has not been signed due to interest yet from Liverpool. I'd brace yourselves.

Rafa has held a meeting with first team yesterday after training and has outlined his expectations for the coming season. He expects 2 more signings to join with a number of fringe/reserve players being loaned out if possible. Apparently he expects every player to stay but has one player expressing his wish to leave. I expect Liverpool to make one massive signing as they only need to tweak the squad that finished the strongest since the turn of the new year.
On to my team, Everton.
Again, for a team that has finished in top 5 and 6 consistently over the last few years, again only need to tweak.
The most sensible option would be Defour, as he partners well with Fellini.
there will be no major players going out, unless Citys' offer for Lescott is so large it cannot be refused.
The other incoming has to be right back, as the club have let Jacobson go.

Also expect D.Silva to be signed by late july he will be the key to LFC's success next season and is a long term target for Rafa which is obviously well publicised.
