Liverpool won't sign Jason Bent, Bent played for Plymouth argyle some 8 years ago, My best memory of Bent was when he scored in Plymouths 2 –0 win over westcountry rivals cheltenham, in front of 18, 517 at Home park in 2001, in a fourth division match. Your best players join argyle, you have lower crowds, a stadium half the size, and ultimately a city that is not a footballing city at all, Plymouth is the big brother who have had crowds over 40,000 throughout history, Exeters highest is low twentys. Need I say anymore. Plus Home park is known as a tough place to come because we have genuine ingrained character and spirit bred through real life, not a pretentious upstart who likes to mix it when it cant.

Rangers rumours. I said two weeks ago that Rangers will not sign anyone till August – no need to repeat reasons but bank/ wages related etc.If they had persuaded anyone to sign it would not take place till August. Rangers have a substantial pot available after Aug 1st. up to 15 million will be available. I am an Arsenal fan and I would like to suggest to the many comments that claim Chamakh will be a first choice CF, I find this unlikely. As good as his CL record is, he is nowhere near RVP, and we have so many creative midfielders that ought to play. Just an educated guess on the Drenthe to Liverpool rumour.

As one person stated that he was one of Rafas targets that and that a deal was being tied up by purslow.

From what i can recall Drenthe made a nasty challenge one of the liverpool players back 2 years ago when we had R.Madrid in the Champs League group stage, And he was 'apparently' interested in him then, but because of the challenge he decided he didn't want him.

If this is true why would Purslow chase after someone that Rafa no longer wanted?
