Middlesbrough have had a 6 million plus add ons bid for Ross McCormack rejected. They are set to increase the offer to 7.5 million plus add ons but are not hopeful.

The loan deal for Lindelof will be completed within 24 hours and Karanka believes this will be enough to solidify the central defence and midfield.

They are also monitoring the possibility of a bid for Dwight Gayle if McCormack attempts are unsuccessful.

If we get McCormack we will win the league as simple as that! So why don't they just offer a decent amount; he's worth 10 at least. Offering 6 and 7 is just going to be turned down!

It is the maximum they are able to offer up front. 10-12 million can't just appear out of nowhere which is why the majority of the deal they want to have as add ons or installments. This will ensure they don't break financial fair play restrictions.

It will be approximately £7m upfront with various goals, appearances and promotion based increases. Fulham want clarity that further payments will be paid at the end of the season even if Middlesbrough fail to win promotion.

If we sign another striker then kike's days are numbered. Doesn't make sense when karanka last week said he was desperate to keep him. I reckon 1 more loan deal for a left sided midfielder and we are done for this window.

He's too old to be worth that much
Andre Gray is far better as is about 5 years younger
With sell on value
Something McCormack doesn't have.

Don't think middlesbrough are looking at sell on value at this point. The chairman is a man of the fans, so buying to sell isn't in his thinking. Massive message of intent from Steve Gibson spending 13m so far on 3 players that he won't see a penny back for.

Gray is inconsistent and wouldn't do it in the Prem. He's played against us 5 times in the last year and has done nothing, wouldn't want him in our team. McCormack will be the perfect signing for the our formation and style of play.

Give your head a wobble BurnleyBFC the reason why you are nowhere near promotion is because you signed the likes of Gray and Vossen lol.
