Everton will reject a £12 million bid from Atletico Madrid for Arteta. Everton have set an asking price of £16 million for the midfielder, however a p/x may be possible with Reyes. I also had a phonecall this morning to say that Everton are about to make a bid for Michael Owen, whether it will be accepted or he will sign is a different story. Everton are looking to sign either Reyes or Joaquin for £12 million. Rafa would like all these deals done fairly quickly and is trying his hardest to negotiate with Martin O'Neil over Barry, he is also after German Youngster Marko Marin as he is young and is a very good winger. Expect krisztian Nemeth to go on a season long loan to Leeds United and return to the first team squad next season. All this is 100 percent fact.

Rafa will not have a lot of money to spend which is a shame as we are still 3 20–30 million players short of a premership challenge, however expect Barry deal to go through all the hype is just M. O. N, hacked off that his captain is leaving and needing to show the Villa fans that he did not let him go without a fight. Crouch to Portsmouth in the next 10 days. Huntelaar is a possibility as Rafa has been looking at him for a couple of years now. Alonso to Juve to fund Barry, not sure we will have money to secure R Keane. One more addition a winger, would like to think Silva but he will be priced out due to Euro success, so the winger will be someone who has not been mentioned yet, expect to see Robben here next season.

Hearts FC

Hearts are interested in former Hibernian defender Shelton Martis. The talented defender now at West Bromwich Albion is reportedly keen about the move as he wants to get back to playing regular first team football. A very reliable source at Hearts has informed me Hearts want to take Martis on loan while having first option on whether to extend his deal further.
