Heard a rumour that Liverpool are negotiating a deal to swap Jeremy Menez of AC Milan for Lucas in the January transfer window.

08 Sep 2015 13:08:33
Sky Blues linked with loan move for exciting Liverpool forward Ryan Kent. Would be a great addition and another piece to the jigsaw on what's already a team going in the right direction.

08 Sep 2015 15:55:01
going to pne on a youth loan

08 Sep 2015 22:20:58
Deal going through with Kent going to Coventry on Wednesday or Thursday on 3 month emergency loan.
Rodgers said to prefer the Sky Blues as he wants Kent to play for a team that will be challenging at the top of their league.
Kent has already spoken with Tony Mowbray and has been sold on the type of play at the Ricoh Arena.
Preston, Swindon and MK Dons all out of the running for Kent.

09 Sep 2015 10:05:45
@PNE Lad seems like your just waffling rubbish as no deal has been done for him yet why would he go to a team like PNE when he can play for a side who plays proper football unlike Prestons whack it up and hope for the best. The only team that may scupper our chances r Swindon Town as they have a great relationship with LPool and already have numerous LPool youngsters there including Anton Rodgers, Brendan Rodgers lad.

09 Sep 2015 14:55:14
With us (Swindon) signing a number of players in the transfer deadline window its odds on he's going to Coventry as we now have a number of players in the position Kent would be used in.

09 Sep 2015 15:35:33
coventry fans ne to understand they are no long a big club and don't even own there own ground .give the chance Kent would pick pne or Swindon Over Coventry

09 Sep 2015 17:43:06
Yeh that's why he's joined us so do one and regardless whether we have own stadium or not we're certainly a much bigger club than Swindon Town and PNE Kent was given the chance and has chose Coventry Preston never even been in the frame and don't worry we'll give you a wave as we pass you on the way up to the Championship and PNE coming back down.

09 Sep 2015 18:02:45
Sorry Lad.
I'm a neutral but Kent is going to Coventry.
Having watched Coventry and Preston many times over the last 3 or 4 years, I must agree that Preston play "lump it football". Coventry are playing the sort of football under Mowbray that everybody wants to watch.
Coventry could well be on the rise whereas Preston will have done well to stay in the Championship.
This isn't a dig at Preston but Coventry are still a much bigger club than Preston.
Also (and I know I'm pedantic here) coventry don't own THEIR ground, not there.
I'm just letting people know the info that I hear and Preston are in no way involved in the Kent transfer.
I do believe that he would choose Cov ove PNE though as the style of play suits him much better.

10 Sep 2015 09:02:15
Mrintheknow you are obviously not in the know! Even IF preston played 'Lump it up football' (which they don't), I would rather that and be in the championship, that play Barcelona type football in league one with the likes of Blackpool.

Adiwilko, don't kid yourself mate. Coventry are, at best, an average league one team going nowhere fast, who just so happen to have a good history. Who doesn't. Football doesn't go off history. Don't feel bad about it but your leage position says everything. You are a league one team. Preston are the bigger club, not massively so, but bigger. Last season's average attendances preston 10,852, Coventry 9,332.

Preston lad, there was never any way he was going to preston. Why would he? After they signed two recognised championship strikers on deadline day, and another 2/3 already on the books, would YOU want to go and sit on the bench? At least going to Coventry he would instantly be the best player at the club.

Just stating facts.

Jamaal lascelles is rumoured to be the defender preston are looking at from Newcastle.

{Ed001's Note - Kent usually plays on the wings, not sure what strikers have to do with his signing, but style of football was a big issue in the decision about where he goes.}

10 Sep 2015 14:08:38
Kent said in his interview that he had several options but chose Coventry for their style of play. Preston were never in the mix though 3 championship clubs were shunned ( mk Dons, Bolton and Cardiff if rumours are to be believed). Preston Lad. Back in your basket youngun.

10 Sep 2015 14:11:32
Also, cov entry's attendances are higher than Preston this year, does this mean they are bigger club?

10 Sep 2015 23:52:17
10852 average attendance is absolutely appalling for a team who were near the top for the entire season. Coventry 9000 or whatever for a team who came a lot lower than they should have. If we were top for all season our attendances would be at least 15,000 maybe even 18,000 at a push.

13 Sep 2015 21:30:50
Preston lad, everything you say is absolute wrong

08 Sep 2015 12:28:21
Sky Blues linked with loan move for exciting Liverpool forward Ryan Kent. Would be a great addition and another piece to the jigsaw on what's already a team going in the right direction.

AFC Wimbledon have launched an ambitious bid to sign Brad Inman from Crewe Alexandra. The Australian has fallen out of favour at Crewe and has been told he can leave for a small fee, which Wimbledon now have after the sale of Dan Agyei to Burnley.

AFC Wimbledon are also hoping to complete a loan deal for left sided defender Christian Scales from Crystal Palace. The young defender, who has impressed in pre-season for the Eagles, is related to ex-Wimbledon FC & Liverpool defender John Scales. The Dons face competition from Crawley and Dagenham & Redbridge.

AFC Wimbledon are also set to sign Charles Weston-Hayles after a successful trial.

Youngster George Oakley will join Hampton & Richmond Borough on a short term loan deal.

28 Jul 2015 09:34:03

19 Jul 2015 19:57:38
Apparently PNE are after Brad Jones. Liverpool goalie. Heard this morning
He'd been released by Liverpool. I think he would be ideal for PNE. 😃

19 Jul 2015 23:33:10
Ideal ? He's hardly played in the last four years and before he was on loan at Blackpool, not for me

20 Jul 2015 12:49:57
Done deal this,to be announced this week 2 year deal wanted no 1 jersey, Johnstone also is staying at United, Lvg wants him at United now Valdes is being sold on.

16 Jul 2015 00:59:27
Benteke wants to sign for Liverpool, and LFC will pay his buy out clause. He will be at anfield next season.

15 Jul 2015 18:05:17
Southampton fans are used to seeing their own players disappear to Liverpool but Jordy Clasie's agent is currently discussing a last minute bid from Brendan Rogers for the Dutch midfielder. 'Pool have matched Southampton's bid but are prepared to offer considerably more in wages

15 Jul 2015 23:29:18
Hes signed for southampton get a grip!!

16 Jul 2015 22:32:25
I'm sure Liverpool will sign him from Southampton next season!

11 Jul 2015 20:53:29
Burnley set to sign Sinclair on loan from Liverpool
Long is set to sign for Burnley on a permanent basis from Everton.

Burnley will offer 3m plus Jason shackell for Will Hughes. This deal is a possibility as Derby feel they are more than adequate in midfield area yet lack significantly in defence.

If this deal falls through Burnley could lure Barton with a 2 year contract and a chance at gaining promotion again.

11 Jul 2015 21:28:52
If/when Hughes moves it will only be to a Premier League team.

11 Jul 2015 22:49:41
Can understand why you might think that, 2 or 3 seasons ago he had massive potential, don't think he has quite lived up to his potential maybe a new move could see him reach that level. Again Derby are the ones who want shackell as there focal point in the team and if that means Hughes has to move on so be it. Could be a good move for all involved, Derby get a decent amount of money and arguably the best CB in the championship

12 Jul 2015 07:17:24
Will Hughes is only young and like all English players with any sort of potential they don't go cheap so I can't see 3m plus a player being enough.

Plus Derby knowing Burnley have dropped from the promised land would expect the offer to be a bit bigger.

Honestly don't see the deal happening anyway lol.

07 Jul 2015 15:35:33
Barnsley have had a bid turned down for kyle Dempsey figure thought to be between 300k and 400k. There's also interested in mason Holgatefrom villa arsenal and Liverpool. Turnbull also interesting leeds

04 Jul 2015 17:46:13
Swindon are being linked with Ryan Kent and Kevin Stewart from Liverpool.

Stewart would be a perm deal with Kent being a loan

29 Jun 2015 06:43:30
Middlesbrough are set to sign Stewart Downing on a 3 year deal after the former Liverpool man turned down several premier league teams in order to sign for his hometown club.
Negotiations are still ongoing regarding a package deal with West Ham which would see a 7m pound fee paid in two installments.
Downing is keen on the deal and has let West Ham know that Middlesbrough is the only place ge wants to leave for.
The player is so keen on the deal that he is prepared to take a wage cut.
Steve Gibson has been a big factor in the deal and has pledged to back AK as far as the money stretches.

29 Jun 2015 12:20:06
seems doubtful but if it happens i will be over the moon

29 Jun 2015 13:19:55
Sorry, but just no. No player with any level of ambition is going to turn down several Premier League clubs to play in the Championship for significantly less money. And where on Earth is the £7m meant to come from? At best that would be pretty much the entire budget for 2 seasons (barring promotion) on 1 player.

29 Jun 2015 13:24:14
7mill wasted he's 31 now would love downing but seven million is a lot could buyua a striker to take us up.

29 Jun 2015 14:46:21
Merson dropped down years ago, it depends on the player and if he is just money motivated there maybe things in his contract where he gets a bonus of x if we go up

29 Jun 2015 16:06:28
Surely this can't actually happen.
Do we really want to spend so much money on a non goalscoring midfielder. I like downing and if we had gone up then Yeh but not if it means our entire budget is spent on Stewie.

29 Jun 2015 16:28:22
West ham are not playing ball over the proposal from middlesbrough. Massive stumbling block being West Ham want to recoup as much as they can as they intend to spend £40m.

29 Jun 2015 17:23:10
Downing signs, adomah, Tomlin, kike on way out.

29 Jun 2015 17:51:33
I would love to see Downing back at the club, but don't think 7mil should be spent! we should try and offer Tomlin for him as Tomlin was very inconsistent last season but proved his worth on the majority of occasions.

29 Jun 2015 18:01:01
Do you all think Steve Gibson (a business man) would blow all our transfer kitty on 1 player with out other irons in the fire??. I think not!! Calm down and Trust the man I charge .He's not daft.

29 Jun 2015 22:00:05
Is there only middlesboro fans who visit this site? If we believe everything you lot say then u must have signed 37 players already!!

29 Jun 2015 22:12:52
I've never heard such tosh in all my life Downing in who is a has been and Adomah, Tomlin and Kike out if this was true which I very much doubt why on earth would we get rid of two of a better players and a striker who's going to be on fire this season. In Karanka we trust UTB.

30 Jun 2015 08:09:22
7 mill for a play out of his prime seems a bit far feached but would love to see the lad back at the club. Don't see why people want rid of of Tomlin so much I highly rate him as a play as he can always produce a moment of magic that can win games, plus aitors not going to sell one of his starting 11 surly. Rather spend the money on a striker and centerback.

30 Jun 2015 10:20:32
Because the attack works so well why would we want to change for better quality.

30 Jun 2015 10:31:00
Only way kike's going to be on fire is if he covers himself in petrol and lights a match. Even then he'd probably miss. And as for calling downing a has been and comparing him to two of the most inconsistent players on the planet is just embarrassing. Bit like your grammar lol

30 Jun 2015 10:59:02
I've also heard they've had a bid accepted for Sergio Ramos have Boro, Oh and they have secured loan deals for Suarez and Messi.

In my dreams Leeds United sign 7m pound players every week aswell, It's not a mental illness don't worry. Just a misjudged attempt at making Championship football enjoyable lol

27 Jun 2015 13:57:44
Liverpool are working on a £40 million double deal for Aston villas Christian benteke and Fabian delph after delphs realise clause of 10 million was triggered. Liverpool will announce this on Monday along with the 45 million transfer of sterling to Chelsea

27 Jun 2015 16:09:37
It was so promising until you said sterling was going to Chelsea.

28 Jun 2015 04:52:50
Why, moriniho is a big admirer of sterling and with him being English it will be very beneficial signing to Chelsea

28 Jun 2015 10:20:04
Sterling is going to City

27 Jun 2015 13:50:19
Reading have been linked with Gael Bigirimana on loan from Newcastle, and Emmanuel Ledesma from Middlesbrough.

On the outs, Colchester, Oldham, Port Vale, and Stevenage have all made loan offers for Dominic Samuel, but MK Dons look to be leading the race for him, and Liverpool are preparing a £4M bid for Aaron Kuhl.

27 Jun 2015 18:37:05
Ledesma has been released (joy of joys) so he would be a free agent, no fee required.

29 Jun 2015 09:15:59
Ledesma will light up the league he will eventually be at a better team than us like juke and emnes weren't the best but had potential and manny did as well wasn't given a good enough chance wildschut will be the same because ak likes reach more

29 Jun 2015 13:31:13
Are you joking pal ladesma say no more

27 Jun 2015 10:14:16
Burnley have been offered Ricky Lambert as Liverpool look to ofload before bringing in new signings.

27 Jun 2015 12:12:25
Wages the problem.

26 Jun 2015 08:21:13
Anyone else hered were after a certain Liverpool striker not Lambert another hope its true could be a good move proven at championship
