Bolton are hoping to sign Newcastle's attacking midfield man Haris Vuckic on a season-long-loan deal. Freedman sees the youngster as the ideal player to play behind the striker in his prefered 4-2-3-1 system.

Darren Bent could join Newcastle if Mike Ashley approves the potential £12 million deal

Never worth 12m

Gabbys replacement I imagine

23 May 2013 03:55:57
If Weinmann deal cannot get done this summer, then expect him to Newcastle with Villa making preliminary inquiries about using funds from Bent and Weinmann to take Lukaku from Chelsea

You wish!

Cardiff also monitoring the situation. They have been tracking him for months

I think Lukaku can do better than Villa and Cardiff

22 May 2013 09:06:17
Expect Eddie Howe of AFC Bournemouth to be offered the position of head coach at Stoke City, where he could be joined by Neil Warnock as Director of Football, after the Potters first choice of Rafa Benetiz emerged as a shock target to replace Alan Pardew at Newcastle.

This after Mike Ashley has grown increasingly concerned about the lack of progress the club have made despite heavy investment in the playing staff at St James Park.

Too far north for Eddie Howe, there's no way his wife will allow it.

Why would pardew get sacked when he signed a new contract before Christmas?

Non Starter. Eddie Howe learnt from his mistake first time. He won't move his family again. He would openly tell anyone this that asked such a silly question.
However if it was Manchester City he might change his mind lol

22 May 2013 14:15:47
I agree with first poster - Eddie's wife will not allow him to move again. She likes to have all her family and friends close by. That is the reason he left Burnley - wife was homesick after she had their first child.

Howe can't manage a big club so he'll stay at Bournemouth

Wife being homesick was only a small part of the reason Eddie left Burnley, I doubt the main reason would be put on here if I posted it.

^
sounds intriguing please tell more?

If Eddie left AFCB at this time I would be truly surprised

22 May 2013 08:40:34
Everton, Newcastle, West Brom and West Ham interested in Clint Dempsey.

22 May 2013 10:24:40
this rumour is rubbish he's on 65,000 pound a week more likely
sinclair,
lukaku,
di santo,
le fondre,
redmond,
sako,
mbokani

Sinclair would have high wages too tbf

21 May 2013 21:56:53
Roberto martinez will be named newcastle manager by the end of the week, with alan pardew going to stoke. From a very reliable source

Makes sense, you do defend like wigan

21 May 2013 18:40:45
Stoke City will appoint Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as their new manager in the next two weeks and is first job as Stoke manager is to sign Nigerian striker Brown Ideye. Solskjaer however faces tough opposition as Newcastle and Swansea are both looking at the Dynamo Kyiv striker as Newcastle hope to improve on a dreadful season and Swansea hope to have a good cup run in the Europa League and once again build upon another fantastic season.

Is the striker any good

Alan Curbishley off to Stoke

Stoke Candidates for Managerial Position:
Rafa Benitez - Bookies Favourite
Martin O'Neil
Gus Poyet
Roberto Di Matteo
Roberto Martinez

To the guy who said is he any good. Yes, he is great. Very good player who is good with his feet and poses a great aerial threat.

I love how you know that Solskjaer is going to stoke and know who he wants to sign.

19 May 2013 11:11:45
Huddersfield Town are looking to offer Newcastle goalkeeper Steve Harper his final port of call in his career by offering him a one year contract

Got the impression that although Steve Harper said he was playing on It said in Daily mail that he has now decided to retire

terrierbite

No where not

No point living in the past, and trying to sign a player who is coming to the end of his career. Excellent first time around, but would cost too much in cod liver oil tabs now.

16 May 2013 16:30:29
Steve Harper is to sign for Carlisle, the Newcastle keeper is not retiring as he has indicated, he want to play one more season.

16 May 2013 10:17:35
Hull City looking at the following players - El Mohamady (sunderland), Jordan Rhodes (blackburn), Callum Macmanaman (wigan), Darren Bent (aston villa), Nick Powell (loan - Man Utd), Kevin Doyle (wolves), Danny Simpson (newcastle), Kasper Schemichle (cant spell, Leicster),

Macmanaman and Bent are NOT coming to Hull.

Seriously, the money that Bent would want just reeks of Bullard!

Macmanaman is on the up and will get snapped up by a solid mid-table side.

The rest are believable but we won't get all of them. Rhodes OR Doyle, not both.

Bent had a falling out with Bruce at Sunderland, that's why he moved to Villa, absolutley no chance of him going to Hull. Fact.

Kasper will not leave Leicester as hull can't pay that high wage. get a grip

No way hull will get rhodes they couldn't afford him

19 May 2013 19:22:32
Blackburn want 15 million for Rhodes, according to sunday paper.
hope so means another 1.5 million for hudds town. (20%sell on profit or 3 million if on transfer
,
I think 1st option will be right.

15 May 2013 22:37:32
Due to Blackburn Rovers' spiralling wage expenditure, they are ready to offload many top earning players.

Jordan Rhodes will be the first to leave, with Aston Villa, Hull City and West Ham interested. All three interested teams will look to spend £4m which Blackburn have already said will suffice.

Birmingham City defender Curtis Davies will be a Hull City player within the next fortnight, with a deal being discussed right now.

Manchester United youngster Nick Powell, signed from Crewe Alexandra, is desperate for first team football and will be loaned out to either Hull City or Cardiff City to help boost their attacking options to help stay in the English Premier League.

Newcastle United are looking to sign Pierre-Emerick Aubamayang to play alongside Papiss Cisse to improve this Seasons awful finish.

Middlesbrough are looking to sign Hull City skipper Robert Koren who is thought to fall surplus to requirements at the KC Stadium following Promotion to the top flight. Tony Mowbray is keen to reunite the Slovenian talisman after a successful history when together at West Bromich Albion.

Newcastle right-back Danny Simpson has fallen out of favour at St. James's Park following the signing of Matthieu Debuchy and will be either a Stoke, Hull City or West Ham player next Season after his contract expires.

Your joking with Rhodes, 8 million when bought last season, 30 goals this season in a poor Blackburn season and you think they will take a 4 million hit, what planet you on.
$ million i'd take him straight back to Town with a bonus 4 million in the bank.

If Rhodes is on as much money as is thought (£45k pw) I would imagine that we (Hull) will be priced out of the move. of the clubs listed, I would imagine Villa would be his best bet. Austin or LeFondre are more realistic options for us.

Curtis Davies I think would be a great bit of business for us, very experienced and quite consitent too. £2-3mil well spent if the rumours are true.

Powell on loan would be great, especially if Koren goes to Boro as is suggested here.

Simpson would be a good signing for us. Is he really out of contract this year? I would have thought Newcastle would have had that covered as he is surely worth a couple of million. Not the biggest hit ever but every club could do with pocketing £2-3mil for a fringe player. I suppose the real question is, how much better than Rosenior is he?

He may have a point though. Blackburn had an awful Season, and almost went down with Wolves. If the whole team is underperforming and they need to improve, getting rid of the more expensive players would definitely make the most sense. Steve Agnew (Hull City Assistant Manager) is Jordan Rhodes' uncle; room for optimism from a Hull City perspective.

Steve Agnew is Rhodes uncle and I think that might be the reason for getting him cheap

Blackburn won't give a toss if Agnew is his Uncle. If Rovers are looking to trim their wage bill, Rhodes would free up nearly £2.5mil a year. If he's got, say, 3 years left (don't know just a guess) that £7.5mil saved. that's the reason Rhodes would be available for as little as £4mil.

Robert koren would be a good singing

Rhodes was initially on his way to boor in the summer but it fell through when boro couldn't offload emnes for their asking price

15 May 2013 22:10:42
Newcastle Utd & Liverpool both looking at young prospect Duane Holmes from championship side Huddersfield Town's u18 squad. Both see huge potential for the central midfielder but any deal far from being close.

He is an outstanding talent, Town need to get him signed on a long term deal, crazy if he is allowed to leave on the cheap.

Doesn't surprise me, the lad is quality!

Future US international, absolutely quality player, massive potential!

ammunscio

Watched him at qpr thanks to online feed, looked a decent prospect, the club need to tie him up quick, then inegrate him into 1st team squad, which would be in line with our policy on youngsters

17 May 2013 12:15:40
Yes I watched him too for those that didn't the qpr commentators were describing him as adel taarabt like! he could play just off vaughan next year.

15 May 2013 17:54:50
Middlesbrough are prepared to make a bid for Crewe midfielder Luke Murphy. The 23 year old is attracting interest from a number of clubs including north-east rivals Newcastle United.

16 May 2013 03:27:04
I've said it once and I will say it again, luke murphy going villa (approx. £2.5 million) to link up with Ashley westwood. there is a strong possibility nick powell will also go villa on a 12 months loan and also max clayton for a fee of approx. £3 million plus add ons.

the doc

15 May 2013 16:52:31
Newcastle interested in taking Liverpool striker Fabio Borini on loan next season and are preparing a £6 million bid for Hannovers Mame Birame Diouf, a former Manchester United player.

I can't see us loaning Borini to another Premier club, and I think he'll involved in Rodgers' plans next season but he must improve.

Scharner from Wigan for 2 million? He was on loan at Wigan from Hamburg. person.

15 May 2013 12:08:56
Hull City to make contact with the following:

Callum McManaman (Wigan £5m)
Jordan Rhodes (Blackburn £4m)
Curtis Davies (Birmingham £2m)
Danny Simpson (Newcastle FREE)
Nick Powell (Manchester United Season-long loan)
John Guidetti (Manchester City Season-long loan)
Andy King (Leicester City £1.5m)
Shaun Maloney (Wigan £3m)
Paul Scharner (Wigan £2m)
Jon Walters (Stoke City £3m)
Jamie O'Hara (Wolves £1m)
Vito Mannone (Arsenal £1.5m) and/or David Stockdale (Fulham £3m)
Nakhi Wells (Bradford City £2m)

Steve Bruce is though to be choosing around 5/6 players from that list in order to aid Hull City's Premier League survival scrap.

Hull City are also ready to allow the following to leave:

Seyi Olofinjana (Sheffield Wednesday FREE)
Liam Rosenior (Leeds FREE)
Nick Proschwitz (SC Paderborn Season-long loan)
Jay Simpson (Wolves £1m)
Paul McKenna (Retirement)
Andy Dawson (Retirement - possible coaching role at the Club)
Mark Cullen (Bury £150k)
Jamie Devitt (Bradford City £100k)
Matty Fryatt (Derby County £1m)
Aaron McLean (Notts County FREE)

Why would Blackburn accept that for Rhodes when they paid £8m for him a year ago and he was their top scorer this season?

I doubt Pulis's Love child Jon Walters will be sold on the cheap for £3 million. more like 4-5

You under estermated about every player price tag there

Seems unlikely that Blackburn would be willing to sell Rhodes for £4m 1 season after they paid £8m for him.

If your bidding £2m for Nhaki Wells I will drive him across the M62 myself

So you r going to buy 30 mill worth of players and only sell about 500k I don't think so.

Scharner isn't a Wigan Player he's on loan from Hannover 96 and why would Blackburn sell Rhodes for 4m when they only just brough him last season for 8m so you would be looking at 8m+ not 4m

Walters 3m? are you having a laugh, 6m at least

From a wigan fan, maloney said he doesn't want to leave, and mcmanaman is worth more that that,. And to add, scharner does even play for us, he is on loan from hamburg

Jordan Rhodes signed for Blackburn for around 7m, scored a load of goals and one season later you think he'll leave for 4m?

I would like to see Jon Walters. He is hardworking and clearly the premiership quality we need. He would be a nice addition and Stoke may also sell him at a reasonable price. I would pay up to £5 million

£4 million for Jordan Rhodes - LOL
More like £8 million

From That list the only players I believe we could actually get are
Powell
Guidetti
King
Scharner
Walters
O'hara
Mannone
Wells

15 May 2013 17:17:09
can have wells for 2 million and for Jamie devitt 100k. no thanks

Mark cullen to Bury - 150k - we couldn't raise 150p!
unfortunately that takes the credence off virtually every other 'dealing' mentioned above

Get your facts right mcmanaman at leat 8million and he wouldn't go to hull. Rhodes why would blackburn lose 4million. Nick powell maybe but dowt it. Guidetti in your dreams hell go to a bigger foreign club. maloney 3 million in your dreams he will go to a bigger club with wigan relegated. Walters no. Welles could but why would they want him?

Bury to spend £150k?

Ah! Me ribs!

We don't have 150 Pence pal!

Can not see mclean joining notts we can't afford a proper striker

With the amount of replies to this rumour.

We can confirm it is a load of rubbish that a Hull fan came up with as his dream summer.

Oh derby fan here. No chance we are paying 1 million for Fryatt, you are looking to offload him from the wage bill.

Why would wolves pay 1 million for Simpson when he's out of contract?

Wigan don't own scharner. Just saying? also, McManaman is bieng heavily linked with liverpool

Wouldnt have devitt back he was complete rubbish. £2 million for Nahki Wells is too little.

16 May 2013 19:57:21
I don't know what's funnier! Bury to spend £150k or anyone thinking Cullen is worth that much! You should be on the comedy channel!

14 May 2013 13:13:32
Stoke are "looking" at the following Free summer agents
Chris Cohen -Nottingham Forest
Lewis Mcgugan - Nottingham Forest
Lewis Dunk - Brighton
Liam Bridcutt - Brighton
Ashley Barnes - Brighton
Neil Eardley - Blackpool
Chris Brunt - West Brom
Maynor Figueroa - Wigan
Danny Simpson - Newcastle
Lee Camp - Norwich
Franco Di Santo - Wigan {Ed034's Note - chris cohen is under contract and certainly will not be available on a free

Chris brunt free agent?

Cohen is under contract

I would hope stoke could sign Danny Simpson and Di Santo

Bridcutt and Simpson will sign for Stoke

Chris Brunt has still got a contract at west brom, is the captain and will not be joining lwly Stoke3

Chris Brunt Free Agent?! Are you being for real?!

West brom to sell chris brunt? that's like rooney going to Accrington Stanley, never going to happen, he is our skipper, although he can play rubbish at times

So stoke currently have Begovic, Soerson and Butland and they are going to want Lee Camp.

Bridcutt is definitely a target for a lot of clubs. massive massive loss to Brighton,

Briddcutt will not sign for stoke for two reasons. One; he isn't out of contract, and two; wouldn't sign for a club where he won't be able to play the ball along the floor

Norwich or cardiff are the most likely to buy bridcutt

If Stoke want Eardley I'll drive him there myself!

If Stoke want Eardley lol what for? to clean the boots in the boot room maybe

23 May 2013 15:54:01
mcgugan going to cardiff

13 May 2013 22:10:10
Cardiff ins:
Danny Simpson FREE from Newcastle
Robert Huth £4m from Stoke
Kazenga Lualua £3m from Brighton
Jon Walters £3m Stoke
Tom Huddlestone £5m Tottenham
Expect a signing from Argentina!

Outs:
Fillip Kiss £150k to Barnsley
Steve McPhail FREE to Oldham
Etien Velikonja loan to Hoffenheim
Declan John £4m to Tottenham
Ben Nugent loan to Newport
Craig Conway £1m to Burnley or Huddersfield

Huth, no chance, Walters, take him

I would take lualua he is a big talent

With the money Cardiff City have you can't see Declan John going anywhere one real prospect that Malky likes

You won't be getting Huth, and you won't be getting Walters as long as Pulis is our manager.

No one is buying john off us

Lualua no chance

I don't want any of those players!

No chance you're getting Huth, and teams at a higher quality want Walters so that's unlikely too

Mcphail has been looked at by Swindon but his wages were far too high so I think Oldham may struggle a bit with that one.

I would take 3 million for Kazenga any day of the week on last nights performance.

Huth is worth at least £8 million and I doubt he would leave stoke for Cardiff

14 May 2013 16:10:52
lualua is terrible from what i've seen league one not premier league

Why would Cardiff want LuaLua. He hardly started for Brighton this season. The only time he played was as a sub. No way Cardiff would want him.

13 May 2013 13:50:07
Newcastle Transfers:

In:
Andy Carroll - 13 million
Joey Barton - Free
Pierre Emerick Aubameyang - 15 million
Loic Remy - 8 million
Junior Hoilett - 4 million
Nicolas N'Koulou - 12 million

Out:
Cisse - Borussia Dortmund 14 million
Coloccini - San Lorenzo - 5 million
Obertan - Saint Etienne - 2 million
Harper - Retiring
Danny Simpson - Stoke - Free

Why would you buy 3 strikers totalling to 35 mill and if you buy them three you won't b getting n'koulou. Try to think reasonably.

I doubt Newcastle have £31 million to spend on Transfers especially with the majority of the funds being spent on 4 players

I also doubt Barton will leave Marseille as he enjoys the lifestyle

13 May 2013 12:50:10
Neymar to Barca - £25m
Fabregas to Manchester United - £22m
Remy to Arsenal - £8m
Allen to Newcastle P/E Tiote and £3m
Song to PSG £18m
Ibrahimovic to Juve £27m
Villa to Spurs £17.5m
Bale To Real Madrid £57.5m
Odemwingie to Sunderland £2m

shaker

Iberia wouldn't cost 27 mill as he was top scorer in the serie a for Milan and he went for 15 mill it's just the wages the team who wants to buy him have to worry about.

13 May 2013 11:31:21
With Andy Carroll stating his desire to return to newcastle, West ham have turned their attentions to Jelavic and Crouch for next season, with bids also expected for Chris Solly and Martin Olsson

Craddick in talks with portsmouth

In the local Oxford press, Craddock is in talks with Portsmouth and likely a deal next week

I can't see Miles Storey go to York I think he's going to be a first team regular as much as the STFC forwards are good players, its only Miles that knows where goal is. If he does go on loan he'll do well.

Craddock is in talks with Portsmouth

11 May 2013 00:18:42
Newcastle to move for derbys adam legzdins after he was told he can leave this summer, most likely to replace rob elliot as number 2.

07 May 2013 18:24:44
With Lee Grant signing a 3 year deal with Derby County today. This opens up a move for Adam Legzdins and Frank Fielding who are surplus to requirements.

Naturally Derby are now not in the driving seat as they have shown their cards by signing a goalkeeper. Naturally this will reduce the transfer price that clubs will bid.

Frank Fielding is an excellent keeper and was playing for the England under 21 side. With one year left his market value is around 500k. However as I said the transfer value is likely to be lower. A bid of around 300k could be accepted.

Birmingham have been mentioned, potentially as a replacement for Butland. Also Burke in a swap deal has been spoken about too.
Leicester City too, if Schmeichel is sold.
Doncaster, following their promotion to the championship, to replace the ageing Sullivan.

Legzdins is less proven but has shown he is a great keeper at this level. Newcastle has been mentioned with Adam likely (well definitely because Krul is firm number 1) to be second choice replacing Rob Elliott.

Clough said he doesn't expect either keeper to return to Derby for pre-season training. One rumour is that both 'don't follow instructions' and Clough lost patience. Welcome back Granty and good luck Frank and Lego.

07 May 2013 17:00:30
West brom to get kone and Maloney if Wigan go down if Newcastle go down crises and marveaux to lose olsson Thomas fortunè odemwingie

07 May 2013 11:31:26
Swansea city to make an ambicious bid for Newcastle midfeilder Yohan Cabaye should they be relegated.

Surely Ben Arfa would be more suited to our style of play?
Saying that, they've got a good squad so many of their players would possibly fit into our style; couldn't quite believe they sold Ba in January and can speculate they wouldn't be in this scenario if they hadn't of done so!

Just goes to show that anything can happen in the prem, they done outstanding last season and struggling this one.

Agree with the above comment Ben arfa would be a lovely signing but a very pricey one!

Cabaye will have plenty of clubs after him, personally I don't like signing players who have just been relegated, they have a habit of getting relegated again.

They were forced to sell Ba because his release clause was activated.

Both Cabaye and Ben Arfa must be on at least 50k a week wages, when have we ever seen Swansea sign an already proven player on big wages? (I'm a swans fan also)

I think personally Ben Arfa is a very greedy player, yes fast and skillful but too greedy, more of an individual than a team player, Cabaye is top notch, but surely if Newcastle go down the likes or Arsenal and clubs similar to that stature will be sniffing around him?

06 May 2013 20:45:15
Newcastle United are set to hold talks with Alan Pardew this week and are set to tell him that if they don't finish clear of relegation before the last day of the season, he will be sacked.
United have already got together a package to offer Celtic a deal to bring in Neil Lennon as their new boss.

So, they'll be sacking him then! The Toon are unable to be clear of relegation before the last day of the season, even with a victory at QPR. It's all going down to the wire. I'm not sure I'd want Neil Lennon either.

Thought David Moyes was coming but only if we stay up.

06 May 2013 18:06:56
highly rated harrogate town goalkeeper Craig MacGillivray is part of Abbott's list of possible targets for the carlisle manger, other include queen of the south's nicky clark, peter hartley of hartlepool united.

Craig MacGillivray will become the number 2 unless mark Gillespie gets sold with Brighton, Newcastle, Millwall and Sunderland interested in him and England u19 international Brad potts. {Ed003's Note -

05 May 2013 10:24:38
Stoke ins:
Andreas Cornelius / ST / £5m / FC Kopenhavn
Scott Sinclare / LW / £5m / Man City
Nathan Redmond / LM-RM / £4m / Birmingham
Curtis Davies / CB / £4m / Birmingham
Danny Simpson / LB / FREE / Newcastle
Luis Pedro Cavanda / LB-RB / £1.5m / Lazio
Martin Olsson / LB / £3m / Blackburn

POSSIBLE Outs
Jon Walters / £4m / Celtic-Cardiff
Kenwyne Jones / £3m / Cardiff
Peter Crouch / £4m / West Ham
(Only one or two strikers will go not those three)
Ryan Shotton / £2m / Cardiff

Isn't Shotton out of contract, hence no fee would be needed.

If Pulis stays, Shotton and Walters stay

Jon walters won't be going anywhere and certainly not for £4 million

If Cardiff signed jones and walters that would be a waste of £7M

Danny Simpson is a right back. and a poor one at that!

Manchester City-Edinson Cavani, Geoffrey Kondogbia, Isco
Manchester Utd-James Rodriguez, Mats Hummels
Newcastle United-Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Bruno Ecuele-Manga

QPR-Carlton Cole, Jake Livermore, Sylvan Ebanks-Blake, Stephen Ward
Reading-Billy Sharp, Kevin Doyle, Josh McEachran

Spurs-Alvaro Negredo, Fabio Coentrao, Joao Moutinho
West Brom-Gary Mackay-Steven, Gary Hooper, Chris Gunter
West Ham Utd-Kasper Schmeichel, Andy Carroll, Christopher Samba
Wigan Athletic-Inigo Lopez, Nolito, Leonardo Ulloa
Cardiff City-Kenwyne Jones, Adrian Mariappa, Matt Phillips, Lewis McGugan
Hull City-Connor Wickham, Shaun Maloney, Bakary Sako

I would be suprised if 10% of these rumours are true.

Ulloa is not ready for the premier league

Honda to Southampton no chance. and if fulham were to get Jordan ayew it would be a joint deal with his bro Andre as they play for the same team. COYW

I can barely say 1 of those will come true!

But if he does move to Wigan the likely outcome is that he won't be playing in the Premier League. I would love to see Wigan playing in the Premier League next year, on their day they are a great team to watch, but I can't see it happening.

Basically what this guy is done is link loads of players with several different clubs to increase the odds of him getting 1 right.

Shaun Malone isn't leaving us, and I can't see poyet letting ulloa go

I Would be supprised if we got Tom Ince

I can't see Mariappa leaving Reading after one season at the club even if Cardiff will be playing premier league football next season and we wont. And we don't want Kevin Doyle either he's not the same player he once was

You're just not going to get Maloney, Maloney is going nowhere, he's now 30/31 in his prime in martinez' set up and the heart of our team.

If Wigan go down Maloney won't stay but he is an excellent player and more deserving of a place in a top PL side rather than Hull.

Like to see hooper at WBA
